i’ve been on a writing kick for the past few days (YAYYY) and accidentally started like three new wips (*gulp*). but it’s okay!! at least im getting words into the doc :P

The back of June’s hips meet the edge of the bathroom sink, pinned by Nora’s own with a subtle pressure. The air between them is deafeningly silent besides June’s quickened breath and the wet drag of the towel as Nora continues to work it against her skin.

“So why’d you call me in here?” The coolness of the rag helps her cool down significantly but the heady feeling in the pit of her stomach remains the closer Nora gets to her.

“Because I didn’t want to risk the chances of you falling flat on the floor in front of a bunch of politicians and the Primeminister.” Nora answers flatly, a hint of a smile pulling at the corner of her lips as she fights against it. June gives her a ‘cut the shit’ look, knowing full well that that wasn’t Nora’s only intention of locking them in the bathroom. They’re chest to chest now, and June is beginning to think her chances of leaving this bathroom unscathed are very slim.

Minor complaint: once again, p:eg falls into the canon dr's trap of making its truth bullets too vague. jett's statement about wolfgang being stabbed to death shouldn't be countered by the tozu tablet, which doesn't mention his cause of death at all, nor any injuries he sustained. we investigated wolfgang's body ourselves, why shouldn't there be a "wolfgang's body" truth bullet? again, this problem is present in canon dr so I don't blame the devs for this.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU ULYSSES AND INGRID. I was about to say, how would you know those marks on his hands were burn marks unless you knew about the lightning thing? eva and damon didn't know, so how could they just assume it was a burn mark? it doesn't look much like a burn mark, does it???

YIPPEE my theory about wolfgang dying from an electric shock is coming true :D this is just drdt chapter 1 all over again (joke)

Ohh, it's interesting that everyone is narrating the closing argument instead of just damon, like in the prologue. idk if I like that actually...?

WOAH. the part after the battery falls into the water, and the entire panel just vanishes, and the music stops, that's a really cool way to present it!

again, really love the art for the closing argument! so cool!!!

oh man. eva is such a tragic character.... she could have changed, she was in a new environment where she could have had people who supported her, but she still refused to believe in her classmates. and diana only wanted to help her, but she was the one (other than wolfgang) who got hurt the most by eva's actions...

(um. I was going to write out my thoughts about the execution but I can't seem to find the words for it right now. Imagine a really expertly written analysis here or whatever.)

The execution also has a really... "fanganronpa" look to it. Not that that's a bad thing though, I don't think any fangans have managed to capture the og dr execution style (except maybe sdra2)

aw man damon is crying after the execution :( except after the cg, he doesn't seem to acknowledge that...? even though 2 other characters get new crying sprites, he doesn't get anything, not even the dialogue mentions it. unless I blacked out at that part and missed it? but I'm glad that he cried, actually, because despite him trying to stay distant from the rest of the class, despite him trying to keep a calm face, he ended up caring for eva and crying over her death.

and another note about damon, his doubts about himself seem to have started in this chapter: he expresses doubt about not revealing wolfgang's motive, and about not speaking up about the dangers of the pharmacy. this is kinda interesting, he seems to be starting his character development early. interested to see where he goes!

also, 2 new crying sprites for mark and desmond! that's really cool actually, normally calm characters showing strong emotions is always so awesome to see, especially in fangans, where characters might react really passively to their classmates' deaths.

oh... diana no... she says stuff about continuing wolfgang's legacy when she herself is clearly not okay. she always cares about others' feelings without acknowledging her own. I know this scene is supposed to be motivational, but it genuinely seemed concerning to me. like girllll you're gonna end up dying in chapter 5 after an inevitable breakdown I know it!!! ...actually, I can see an arc like this, where diana slowly descends into distrust and despair while damon slowly learns to work with others and pursue the truth. welp, I'll see if this prediction comes true after like, 6 years, lol.

also, a really really minor thing about the ending: I found it kinda weird that diana striaght up mentions her animal being a chameleon. i feel like thats kind of..... idk, meta? I didn't know the characters were supposed to be aware of their own animal motifs, it feels kinda weird that she mentioned that. just a minor thing :')

but all that aside, we're finally done! this was genuinely such a great game, the eden's garden team put so much effort into this project, and it was so fun to play through (especially without being spoilered beforehand!!) genuinely so awesome, I look forward to more, whenever that may be.

also, two of my favorites are dead. ulysses better not be next.... (it's inevitable his note-taking gimmick is too much to pass up on)

I wrote on my 60's au fic, yayyy

For all the (bordering on excessive) research I've done for this fic, I have intentionally not looked up anything about how trust funds work, much less how they worked in the 1960's. I have Adora a week after her 18th birthday just sneaking her birth certificate and some "paperwork" from her mother's file cabinet when she's not home and going to the bank and pulling out a little cash, since it's her money now, right??

Anyway, now I have a draft of the scene of her buying a red jacket which is something I've looked forward to writing!! There's an irony in the fact that she wears that red jacket for the entirety of canon because she's uncomfy in any clothes so she just keeps wearing what's familiar and gives her purpose (per Nate on twitter), but in my fic Adora buying her red jacket is a big Fuck You to her mother and makes her feel cool and even kinda hot for the first time.

Anyway want to read my first draft of this scene, it's a bit over 400 words--

(side note before going in: antique/thrift stores/flea markets in the 1960's often had Victorian/Edwardian things for CHEAP. That stuff was the same age then, as buying stuff from the 1950's and 60's is now, but apparently there was just more of it? I dunno how often I've read about hippies buying clothes from that era by the pound for almost nothing and then cutting them up to make new things.)

A week after Adora's 18th birthday party, she found her birth certificate and other paperwork in her mother’s file cabinet. She went to the bank after school and smiled at the teller and pulled several hundred dollars out of her trust fund. 

That weekend, Adora and her friends went downtown, and stopped at a dusty antique store with racks of super-old clothes. They took turns trying on a top hat and laughed while the shop owner scowled. 

Glimmer grabbed a purple velvet skirt made of real silk with a small rip at the bottom. “I can cut it shorter. Maybe make a top out of what I cut off, or even just the lining.” She showed them the lining, a beautiful lavender satin. 

Perfuma dug through strings of beads and looked at each one separately before putting it back or setting it aside. 

“Damn. It’s too small.” 

Adora looked up to see Bow struggling out of a red jacket. She walked away from where her and Glimmer had been flipping through a rack. 

The jacket was a vivid red wool, trimmed in gold braid and brass buttons. There was fur lining the collar and cuffs. It looked like something from a marching band, or maybe an old-fashioned military uniform. It was amazing. “Let me try it on.” 

Adora pulled off her green letterman jacket and draped it over a nearby rack before taking the red jacket from Bow. She put her arms through the sleeves and knew before she looked in the mirror that it fit. 

Her reflection startled her, a little. It wasn’t just that it fit, it made her look…cool. Really, really cool. 

But she also looked…hot. That was a new feeling. She turned in the mirror, admiring herself.

“Wow. Adora, you have to buy that,” Bow said. 

Glimmer looked over. “Oh hell yeah.” 

It smelled a little like moth balls. It was also missing the top button.

She sighed. “My mother hates it when I wear red.” 

Perfuma looked over and then gave Adora an up and down. “Hmm. Red’s a good color on you, though. And I saw a brooch that might work for the missing button, hold on.” She came back and dropped it into Adora’s palm: it was a gold wing. She pinned it in place of the missing button. It fit, somehow; like the jacket was intended to have a wing for a top button.

Glimmer walked up behind her and made eye contact in the mirror and grinned conspiratorially. “You know, it’s cold in the summer in San Francisco. My aunt complains about it.” 

Adora grinned back. 

(author's note: ahahahaha yes the jacket is based on one of the ones Jimi Hendrix wore, not that Adora knows who he is yet)

but uh uh um if so, i would like to request some. deimos x reader... theyre playfighting because they were alone got bored and were like "okay time to beat the shit out of each other for funsies !! couple bonding activities yayyy" and they end up tumbling wih eachother on the ground. deimos goes easy on reader during most of it but the minute the reader actually starts winning he locks in and defeats their ass. if you wanna you could throw in like suggestive stuff maybe in the form of deimos/reader being flirty if you feel like it but either way i dont really care i just want to wrestle with this goober as a form of affection and then give him a kiss when he inevitably wins because he is a trained professional in terms of killing people and i would rather die than be kinda mean to somebody

Playfighting (Deimos x Reader)

It was one of those slow days, since the last ambush attack on the agency they've back down a little, meaning that there were no new missions too. At this point Deimos was trying anything to get distracted, hacking random sites, picking on Hank, smoking, anything really. Until you came up with an idea.

- Hey Dei?

- Yeah? - he responded while staring at the ceiling.

- Wanna do some training together? Doc said it might be good for us to stay sharp in case something happens.

Now that was something interesting, he gets to fight and have some fun with you? The guy is already up in a blink of an eye.

- Alright, but try to not get your ass kicked too quickly alright doll? - He responded while reading his stance

He almost got dumped into the ground in the first few minutes. While he had already gone on missions with you before he never actually fought you. Your appearance also betrayed how fast you were, quickly dodging his attacks and still landing quite a few good hits on him

- Awn I was expecting for you to be a little better at this DeiDei - You joked

- Who said I'm really trying? I'm just making things a bit easier for you sweetie.

Things kept going for a longer, with some teasing from both sides. He was starting to get tired, but you showed no signs of stopping. "This ain't good..." Deimos though. "If It keeps going like this I'll be on the ground in no time, Sanford I'll probably not shut up about as well". So he kept his guard up. Doing hos best to find a breach to your defenses while still maintaining his.

- Starting to get tired honey?

- From the fighting? Maybe, but definitely not of that pretty face of yours~

This seemed to hit a spot on you, making your face blush intensely and to hesitate a bit, now was his chance! Taking the moment he quickly swiped up your feet and put his whole weight on top of you to make you fall to the ground.

- Still got it! - He exclaimed

- ...

- Di- did I go too far? - Concern slowly overtaking his features. That was, until you started laughing, relaxing at the sight he dropped near you, both staring at the ceiling.

- That was nice! It had been some time since I've had this much fun - you commented

- Same, I was starting to go insane by having nothing else to do

You both stay laying for a few more seconds, until you decide to get up and check with doc if there was anything to get treated.
