i think we need more screwed up holidays

like, there should be a holiday where at noon on august 11th you have to stop what you're doing and hide wherever you can for 15 minutes...

...because there's a weird floating red glowing orb that the government sends out and if it sees you a super loud alarm goes off and then after the 15 minutes are over people come and put you in jail for 5 hours

but the really great part would be when you condition people to hide and then stop sending out the red orb, so it just becomes one of those holidays everyone follows but no one remembers why
