Well, it's been quite a week so far. Yesterday my wife and I had to butt heads with some racist loudmouth at the gym, then today we accidentally locked ourselves out of our house! But we had done so just after getting pizza, so we sat on the porch and enjoyed the night while we ate our food. Then someone we'd encountered at the pizza place appeared, and we found out they were our neighbors, and they'd really liked my trans pride t-shirt. They gave us a bag of candy goodies and it seems we've made some new friends! :) Wonder what adventures tomorrow holds....?

Byleth looked up at the cabin (or was it more of a beach hut?) where they had been directed to upon arriving on this island. Despite it's name, the Professor was naturally suspicious due to the name though they weren't sure why.

Checking the room assignments on the slip of paper in the hand, Byleth made their way to the corresponding room. Entering they saw someone was already there.

"I'm Byleth" They respond shaking the offered hand. There was no issue on their part rooming with guys. It was all the same to them. "I'm sure rooming wont be an issue, so long as you don't snore. Speak to older ppl and u will learn things that would’ve taken u 5 years to figure out by yourself. Building friendships with older people is the best thing I ever did. Someone tenderly telling u how to navigate the world is a beautiful thing. This post was inspired by a new chatbot created by scientists that stimulates an older version of u and shares its pearls of wisdom. Young people should talk and consciously listen 2 older people so they can navigate this world w a little more ease. As if artificial intelligence can educate the next generation. Nothing better than a convo w someone over a cup of tea.

Unpleasant reminder: within 100 miles of the border (which is home to 200 million people and virtually all major cities in the US), ICE does not need a warrant to enter your home, your car, to search anything, or even to arrest you.

You are not automatically safe just because they don't have a real warrant.

The best and safest thing you can do is learn to have escape routes- quick ways to get out of the house or area you're in if you find out ICE or CBP are around. Those of us who do have documentation? Time for us to step the fuck up.

Film any interaction. Every interaction. If you're able, step into the conversation and be a Karen/Kyle- weaponize your privilege for Good. If you get asked about people? Use positive but vague statements so you a) cannot be caught in a lie, and b) do not give any information away.
