Ok, so I went to watch The little mermaid this weekend and I just want to fangirl about Eric and Ariel. Like the CHEMISTRY and the TENSION between those two!!!! OMG!!!

Ppl being like "I don't want Din and Bo to be a couple because then a woman's story arch is literally only feeding into the man's." Ok, but like Din is the MAIN character, whether he wants to be or not, so literally every other character is going to be moving along Din's character arc, man or woman. And their character arcs will be feeding into each other, as it often goes in shows and movies with platonic or romantic relationships. It won't be just Bo's character advancing Din's, it will also be Din's character advancing Bo's. It's just that there will be more focus on Din's character arc, because it HIS SHOW.

finally watched A Court of Fey and Flowers, and i don't have any great analysis to offer but the romantic relationships that we ended ACOFAF with were truly marvelous and made me so happy. The slow burn of ruehob was emotionally destructive, but it made the payout all the more satisfying, and BLM and Oscar Montoya performed it so! Well! I also really appreciated seeing the ace aro-spec based relationship of binxhera, and it was incredibly sweet and had the feeling of deep camaraderie and friendship behind any romantic interest.
