NETGEAR GS724TP
NETGEAR GS724TP: A High-Performance, Manageable Gigabit Switch for SMBs
Tumblr media
In today's data-driven world, every small and medium-sized business requires a robust and reliable network infrastructure. An integral part of this infrastructure is a high-performance switch that helps in handling the ever-growing demand of network traffic. The NETGEAR GS724TP is a very powerful and manageable Gigabit switch designed to meet the requirements of bandwidth-intensive applications for SMBs.
Key Features of the NETGEAR GS724TP
High Performance: The GS724TP comes with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports for plenty of bandwidth connecting devices such as computers, servers, printers, and network storage devices.
Managed Flexibility: The GS724TP comes with a number of management features that give IT administrators granular control over the performance and security of the switch yet remains easy to use. These include VLANs for network segmentation, QoS for traffic prioritization, and port security to limit access to authorized devices only.
Tumblr media
Power over Ethernet (PoE+): The higher-end models of this switch, the GS724TP, are fitted with PoE+ technology that allows it to source power into devices like VoIP phones and IP cameras using the same Ethernet cable used for data transmission. This means that one does not need to use different power supplies for such devices, hence making installation very easy, not to mention much neater.
Reliability and Durability: It features a metal housing to ensure it lasts with fanless operation for completely silent operation. There is also an option for a limited lifetime warranty for the businesses.
Tumblr media
Benefits of Using the NETGEAR GS724TP
Enhanced Network Performance: Gigabit speed on the GS724TP can enhance how your business rapidly transmits data with ease.
Enhanced Security: The switch's management capabilities allow IT administrators to uphold VLANs with port security, which cover the critical needs of securing vital networked resources against unauthorized access.
Easy Installation and Maintenance: The GS724TP can easily be installed and maintained—even with a business that has little IT staff—through its web-based management interface, which allows administrators to configure the switch from any web browser.
Cost Reduction: The GS724TP has PoE+ support, a feature that significantly reduces cabling and installation costs in most business setups by eliminating the need for extra power outlets to be installed for PoE devices.
Tumblr media
The NETGEAR GS724TP is a Gigabit switch with high performance and multi-use capabilities, ideal for SMBs looking to improve the performance, security, and manageability of the network. Given the high-performance ability, flexible management features, and PoE+ support, the GS724TP is indeed a valuable asset for any business network.
Provide for the particular needs of your business by getting the right switch, with regards to the number of devices that one wants to connect within a network and types of applications that make use of it.
With the GS724TP, choose from a wide array of configurations that meet all of your needs.
Before buying a GS724TP, always consider the reviews in comparison to other similar switches available in the network equipment store.

Well that's what happened last week on X. It's helpful to use the Downdetector app to see if it's your connection, the online company's issue, or if you're cray.
Not as if I'm hounding the companies online. It's just helpful to know when I can take a break to another project. Once I've tried to cheer the engineers who I knew were going through a nightmare. That's because I've been in their seats before. Much ❤️ for the hardworking 🤓s.
There are also the times I'll ping an engineer and remind them about the signs I told them about with one of the companies their corporation partnered with. Yep, it's an adult neener neener neener. Hey it was the firewall reps who pushed me away when I only needed to point out a hole in their firewall and got laughed away.
Pride can be dangerous and I can be petty.
Tumblr media
BTW I chatted with someone who believed themselves to be brave for lighting a wasp nest on fire 🔥. Nice to know they were proud about the money they saved by doing it themselves. Yet they had the gaul to call my friend and I chicken for throwing a garden rock then rushing for safety inside my home.
Now you can try to grade my nerves and bluntness.

CAT206 Week12:
Plan:
Some people are resting in the original shooting location, so I need to change the venue temporarily. I'm going to check out the fifth floor of Building G because there are water heaters and microwave ovens there. My original group members could not help me for some reason, so I had to ask my roommate to help me shoot.

that TV post, man.... I whined about us not having cable (or satellite? I'm kinda fuzzy on the difference in content tbh) SO often when I was growing up but I unironically think one of the greatest gifts my crunchy hippie parents gave to me was protecting my developing brain from as much advertising as they possibly could.
We didn't have cable, we never listened to commercial radio, we didn't subscribe to any pop culture type magazines, the internet was dial-up and also WAY less full of ads, so literally my only exposure to ads was in the local newspaper or in national geographic (or roadside billboards, lol), and it was GREAT.
people in the notes are talking about how TVs are sooo cheap and so there's no economic reason for most people not to have a bedroom TV for each family member but like... my objection is philosophical, not monetary. Your kid doesn't need an ipad, they don't need an iphone, and they definitely don't need a bedroom TV so corporations can stream advertising directly into their little eyeballs at all hours of the day and night.

My great curse as someone who likes listening to actual play shows is that I also love tactics and strategy, and most actual plays are (by nature of being a performance) more focused on telling a good story by letting their characters mess around and screw up, rather than on having those characters be tactically optimal and brilliant.
I've been thinking lately that this is why Skyjacks has become my absolute favorite podcast. Because James D'Amato is an absolutely fantastic GM who not only thinks about how the realistic tactics of the world he's set up would work, but also then gently brings the players into thinking about that kind of thing as well by asking them the right questions and giving them useful information and reminders so that the characters can be competent and clever in a way that the players (who after all do not live in that world) might struggle with.
And of course, that makes it even funnier when James has spent an entire arc politely reminding the crew that they wanted to be incognito and the captain gets up in front of the entire assembled population and accidentally(?) says the name of their very famous ship in a speech.

CAT206 Week12
Plan:
To illustrate the theme of the information cocoon, I will use two different performance styles. To emphasize the alienation of people caused by the Internet and stereotypes.
In the beginning and the end, I will play a gloomy, spiritually tired person. Especially at the end, I would accentuate this feeling and highlight the character's disgust at the fact that they are acting for a living.
In the middle part of the live performance, my character will have a more active, even neurotic appearance. Even when wearing a mask, one can still feel a strong neurotic atmosphere.
