So if I'm reading this right, the Watchers finally got rekt (hopefully) by intruders (<- ooooooh hoo👀) and that's when g escaped. I think dats a pretty cool idea, Watchers are always portrayed as these allknowing and powerful entities with barely any weaknesses in sight, so to see that they were beat up in ur fic by people is so refreshing. i hope They were nuked down to the size of an amoeba.

Also the thought of Grian being so lost and hurt and alone finally letting himself break down in the frail baby world is giving me emotional damage. him not understanding the hermits kindness and believing he himself incapable of being kind OUGH. I'm eueueueueue.

I just want to hug the eyeball waffle boi give him soup and tuck him 2 bed. he's such a sad sad hurt little creachur🥺 pls

You are right! The Watchers did get rekt, and they’re permanently gone because I realized I can write whatever I want XD They were indeed destroyed by intruders, who.. May end up revealed in the fic? So I don’t want to spoil that, but yes that’s when Grian escaped, because taking advantage of the chaos is one of my favorite things to see in any media :) I’m glad you like the idea! I’ve always liked the idea of so called gods being able to be killed, and it’s something I incorporate in as many places as I can because I’m just like that XD. 

I apologize for emotional damage, I will make it up to you in the next chapter, I promise. (yay it hit right tho :3)

I can assure you that he will get plenty of love from the hermits. He will be a bruised but not hurt creachur by the end of the fic. 

Yes! He has good friends, and is gaining more every chapter :D I don’t think I’ll be able to hit every hermit unfortunately, because that’s simply too many people, but yes. (slight spoiler, next chapter is full of friendship development)

Grian ain’t as sneaky as he’d like to believe, that’s for sure XD It’s one of the biggest details that inspired me from Watcher’s Care. I just love it so much. Just, the idea of becoming attached to and then aware of this being that you’ve never seen (except in my fic because I thought it was funny) I just love it so much.

i know people like you only see detransitioners as rhetorical tools to use against trans people, but the truth is that detransition is just another kind of transition. why would i be any more afraid of that one than i am of the one i’m in right now? if i was afraid of transitioning, of taking matters into my own hands when the body i have doesn’t feel like home anymore, i wouldn’t have transitioned in the first place. i’m where i am because i truly love this process, because it brings joy into my life, not because i fear it. being human means a life of constant change; none of us are the same people we were ten years ago. i for one won’t run from that change — i intend to greet the person i’m becoming with open arms, however different they might be from who i am now, and i’m sure that whoever they are, they wouldn’t want me to make my life miserable now just so theirs might be a little bit easier.

The QSMP is bad enough as it is, but it's even worse when you consider how much they're appropriating omegas' nesting instincts with all their drama over their eggs. And most of the people on the server are either alphas or betas. There is like one omega on that server. It's so fucked up. I bet half the reason that Q even made the server was because he was being omegaphobic to Dream

I'll be honest, I've got mixed feelings about the eggs. Like, I mean, let me be clear I don't think Q started his server to be omegaphobic, but I think the eggs are kinda problematic and really do border on bait. Seeing alphas and betas go over the top to pretend to be stereotypical omegas just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't really know how much of it is malice though, sometimes people just make bad choices.

I probably got unnecessarily defensive about that anon, but they put me in a very bad mood. They requested a prompt list and I declined the request because I didn't feel I could do it justice (it was about fevers, which are really a secondary thing for me in sickfic and whump), and also because I just don't really take prompt list requests.

His time with them was not very fun, and because I don’t want to.. Delve too deeply into that I’m not going to write about it in much detail. But yeah, no good times with them, and reminders everywhere XD

Off topic from previous ask but you ever look at how ridiculour Madara's stats are? You telling me this guy is born and he's just physically gifted strong? Tall? Buff? Okay whatever... Next you know he can play multiple instruments and it's the least you expect of him. Him playing a cello??? Violin??? Okay he can't get any more ridiculous right— he's fluent in multiple languages, English only being one of them. You're telling me this guy likely knows my mother tongue because our language is just somewhat up there in the list of languages japanese people learn. OK SO HERES THE THING WITH THAT. obviously hes a swiss army knife of a man, jack of all trades, etc that much is clear. but its fully his choice to be this way. some stuff is coincidental of course, like his body type is just like that (although he does still work out) and some of his skills he learned as a necessity of being kanatas caretaker/bodyguard (martial arts probably, smuggling magazines for kanata to read), and traveling alone as much as he does, being fluent in multiple languages is not optional. but then theres stuff like operating heavy machinery.... and fighting with weapons... and basically everything else. why would he need any of that? well thing is, he hates himself. his self worth is entirely reliant on his ability to be useful to other people .

when you have a long term relationship with someone, especially if it spans a part of both your childhoods, you grow into each other like a skin graft. if one person is cut away from the other because theyre unable to be there for some reason, the place they occupied will eventually heal over.... and when they come back, there will no longer be a place for them. theyre replaced by new skin, or something like that. like, when madara was exiled and forced away from kanata, he eventually met chiaki, who filled every role madara used to fill (including the one in his family— i believe chiaki and madaras mother are on good terms but dont quote me on that i dont remember where i got it from) and when he managed to get back to japan, he was superfluous, which is a fate worse than death to him. so he learns how to do anything and everything, hoping that at some point one of his skills will be useful to someone and hell have a reason to live again.

tldr; madara knows how to do so much on purpose because the more things he can do, the more opportunities there are for being able to help people. and the more obscure skills he knows, the more irreplaceable he becomes, safeguarding him from becoming unneeded in his friends lives despite his constant absence .

as for the successor thing we still dont really know what rei means by that, cuz according to ritsu madara has been coming over their house for "successor business" for years, even before the war (i think) so it very well could have absolutely nothing to do with idol stuff . maybe its just an excuse to have crazy gay sex idk lol

What is even more disappointing about how game!Ciri is written is that CDPR Can give us compelling and complex “ trauma and grief can cause you to repeat the cycle of violence” arcs for characters like Syanna and Lambert but apparently completely forgot what a huge part of Ciri’s character that is

the first time I played I thought she got amnesia as well because of how much of her fiery temper was toned down, and how her trauma is hardly mentioned ( and it's not like the characters in this game trauma are completely ignored it is talked about in some quests) I wanna see what she really would have done had she seen Emhyr again

I feel like game Ciri had two distinct groups they were aiming for: people who found Geralt even more appealing because of the fatherhood angle so they had to work his actual kid in AND hot girl fan service.

The thing is, if they gave her too much personality or depth, she wouldn’t have fit into these groups well and therefore people would’ve found her annoying and/or off-putting. People already do sometimes but not to the degree that they would’ve if they even BEGAN to touch on the absolute shitstorm that is Ciris psyche after everything.

Also realistically, they made the Witcher games centre about Geralt bc he appeals to their large majority male fan base: combatant, dark mysterious tragic past, ripped, attractive, fucks hot women, is a good guy while still also getting to do badass things and beat people up. If you look in depth at Witcher fans on different platforms when they talk about him, a lot of dudes are very much “oh my god he’s literally me”. Ciri could never be the focus because she wouldn’t appeal to that same group, and we know that every time a game is released people throw the weirdest bitch fits about female characters, especially main ones.

This is also why Ciri is made an attractive character, when realistically that tiny little facial scar they’ve given her is nothing, she’s spent her developmental years on the run/being attacked/under extreme stress so I honestly can’t imagine her being a tall skinny but also hourglass woman with one or two scars, and put her in a cropped shirt (such a bad choice it’s mildly hysterical).

I think Lambert and Syanna are also a really good example of how people handle angry traumatised characters too, because Lambert gets a lot more leeway than Syanna (and I say this as a big fan of both!) Like there are literally people out there and on this webbed site who say she is pure evil, one of the evilest people in the Witcher for being a fucked up mean trauma victim who hurt a Poor Little Meow Meow (Higher vampire with decades of life experience more than her, incredibly possessive, responded to emotional manipulation by violently attacking an entire city). Like Lambert literally brags about axii’ing a guy to shoot himself in the head with his own crossbow.

Ciri got done very dirty, but I see how and why it happened. Book Ciri deserves rights but unfortunately I think Games Ciri will always be how people perceive her, and therefore portray her in fic, art and other work predominantly (praying same doesn’t happen with TWN Ciri). We’ve been robbed of such a complex, angry young woman and I mourn it 🙏

Edit: I can’t even touch on the Emhyr thing because the fact she can reconcile with him is honestly mildly fucking horrific. Like even if they’ve removed the nasty ass incest factor, that man quite literally destroyed her entire world and was willing to do so further in order to get his way. The fact she can call him father in one ending is genuinely vomit inducing and so disrespectful to Ciri as a character (also the audacity to play down that Ciri literally sees Yen as her mama WHILE playing devils advocate for War McCrime is a whole choice).
