Hi…so uhh…I’m not sure if anyone is going to be interested, but I tried to start a story! I was gonna share it here and see if anyone could give me some ideas or feedback?

It’s Hard To Keep Secrets In A Small Town Like Mine

The train car was practically empty, and the dim light seeping through the windows from the setting sun cast a warm glow over the thin pale legs of a young passenger in a girl’s school uniform. A light novel in their hands with their head hung down, fully engrossed in the story their eyes were translating from each page.

Their attention suddenly taken by the shift of the momentum they had while seated, feeling the train coming to its next station and hearing the automated warning for the next stop. The screeching of the iron brakes shook the hold of the book in their hands loose from their mind.

“I’ll save it for when I get home I guess.” They made up their mind stuffing the novel into their bag and getting off the train quickly, and with a burst of excitement, they ran up the steps to the top of the station and took in the view of the slightly more brisk surroundings and country air.

The golden rays piercing through the clouds above shined their glistening reflections off the small streams along the roadside. Walking along with a little pep in each step and a soft hum to walk too, they made good pace while keeping a nice happy smile on their face.

(So this is as far as I got…not really sure where to take it yet…)

Imagining someone gently tugging on my hair to pull my head back, shoving a bottle of wine in my mouth and making me chug it, “there we go, that’s it pup, drink your juice” and naturally when I finish it “goood boy, such a good job, taking it all for me” and then I’d be so loopy and out of it I’d just want to crawl up onto their lap and collapse on top of them, sloppy kisses and rutting against them as well as I can manage in such a state, and they’d chuckle at how absolutely gone I am 😵‍💫

I just spent like 10 - 15 minutes rambling to my mau about wanting to get a puppy and all the things I would want to do with them and you. Like, do agility, morning walks, bike rides, cuddling, among many other things. I was having a very nice time day dreaming

YAYAY !!!! brain went to being technical helpful so!!!! if i can help im the best with nervous dogs!!! jacky was abused by her first owners and i did most of getting to be ok with being on the same side if the room as us she likes it when i kiss her nose before we go somewhere!! she taught herself how to open my door and i love walking with her !!! (not sure if i can do a bike ride but ill run next to you!!! also safer that way with a dog) and you saw my post that i said i like cleaning dogs ^^

shes dramatic and doest emote like a dog but i learn her faces and love her (her pet me or i will get turbo depression face + tail wag and also a face she makes when she grabs you with her paws to lick you)

As someone who has a nervous dog and is always working with him, I've been loving seeing someone cheer on the small victories. :)

Thank you!! Those little steps are really such a big deal for them, and us! There's a lot more you can't take for granted with nervous, fearful, and reactive dogs. It's a big reason I really love The eXtraOrdinary Dog Community - Shy and Fearful Dogs group I found on Facebook. The mods are great at sharing really good articles and posts on body language, behavior, and positive training, and it's just a whole group of people who all cheer on small-but-big victories with each other!!

... sorry, that turned into a fb group ad, but they've just been such a great support over the past 5 months.

Anyway, thank you to you as well on your dog's behalf, I know it's not easy! I hope you both have a good day! 💙
