I feel like instead of Poseidon, Amphitrite would make for an interesting antagonistic figure in the story of Perseus and Andromeda. She herself is a Nereid, and the ocean is called the breeding grounds of Amphitrite, which connects nicely with the fact that Cetus is the hound of Triton.

I just think it would be interesting and give attention to a figure who doesn't appear much in mythology. Amphitrite and Andromeda are like Maleficent and Aurora (the animated one) to me
