You need to understand that right-wingers are not stupid.
Because to act like they’re unintelligent puts you at risk for manipulation. It destroys your defenses against deceptively sophisticated propaganda techniques.
Tumblr media
The “similarity” is that white supremacists love attaching themselves like a growth to marginalized groups so they can more easily pick off a different one. Remember most Isreali supporters and conservatives in general see Isreal and the Jewish people as one and the same. The person who put up these flags is willing to align themself with people they hate, to manipulate both said people and anyone else watching uncritically. This serves the purpose of radicalizing those afraid of a cartoonish straw man (the “big scary Palestinians”) to the point where they’ll assist fascist entities that openly act against their interests.
Tumblr media
This, (second woman on the left), is a lesbian speaking at the heritage foundation. This is far from the first or last time openly anti lgbt organizations temporarily welcome lgb terfs with promises of helping them fight “the trans agenda”. They feed their frankly unhinged fears that “transgenderism” is the threat to end all threats, that all differences MUST be put aside to fight this behemoth of an attack on society. And do you know where all these lesbian terfs will be when these often literal neo Nazis have no use for them anymore? Right back under their boot in active danger. Except now they have one less ally to help pry them out from under it. These huge organizations like PragerU, the heritage foundation, etc, are smart enough divide and conquer. They want you radicalized, or they want you dead.
The second a fascist agrees with you politically on anything, that is a sign. Fucking run.

BEAR HUG.
➳ request: Hello! Can I request Ruby, Blake, Yang, Weiss, and Neo with either a male or gn!reader (whichever is more comfortable for you) s/o who is tall (Not that tall, I’m talking like 6’0) and normally very stoic but absolutely melts when shown any affection at all from the girls and turns into a massive cuddle bear. Please and thank you! Have a wonderful day!
➳ character/s: ruby rose, weiss schnee, blake belladonna, yang xiao long, neopolitan
➳ warnings: you're a criminal (neo)
➳ notes: 6'0 feels tall for my little 5'2 ass LMAO thanketh for request :)), also sorry these are kinda short-
𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 / 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭  / 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 / 𝐰𝐢𝐩 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭
Tumblr media
── 𝐑𝐔𝐁𝐘 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄.
no one knew why y'all were together initially, it was weird
why is this energetic child with this sophisticated partner????
but everyone knows you have a soft spot for ruby, because even if she's annoying you, you'll be less harsh with her
and if she ever clings to you, a nearly invisible smile rests on your lips
she could use her semblance to sit on your shoulders or cling to your bicep, yet you never pushed her away
if anything, the people saw how you kind of craved it
people wouldn't believe their eyes when they see you with your head atop hers and your arms wrapped around her waist
especially with the big, innocent looking eyes rather than your usual half-lidded gaze
they would think someone is a photoshop wizard if they showed them a photo of you cuddling in your sleep
who knew someone could have such different sides to them??
── 𝐖𝐄𝐈𝐒𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐍𝐄𝐄.
what a strict couple istg
you're both so serious most of the time, if weiss wasn't so dramatic at times, people would think you were the same person
not a big affection person, but only because she's touch-starved
when she starts initiating, she's very nervous to because she doesn't know if you want her to
but then she sees the way your face relaxes and your body slumps a bit
and now shes gonna be initiating a lot more, but mostly in private or in times of high stress
if anything, you want hugs all the time and she's the one telling you to chill out (pun intended)
she'll never reject you though, but she will look annoyed
often forgets you're perceived as stoic, because she's more accustomed to cuddly you now
wishes you weren't so tall so that you could cuddle easier though-
── 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀.
another stoic girlie
she probably purrs if you give her cuddles and scratch her head and behind her ears
rubs her head against you when she wants attention (only in private)
found out how much of a cuddle monster you are because of it
probably complains a little when you don't let go of her in the mornings and hug her tighter
gets whiplash from soft you and serious you all the time
the moment you're alone with her you're being all pouty and making grabby hands for hugs
secretly loves it, but she also has a reputation to uphold
has a lot of photos of you being cuddly on her scroll
you're 100% mor affectionate than she is, but it's fine
── 𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐗𝐈𝐀𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆.
you'll never be perceived as a stoic person ever with her around
she's constantly coming to give you affection, so you'll have to give up the serious thing
she always teases you about being soft around her
you'll never escape her snide comments about how you're not as stoic as you want to be
you're the one being hugged, not doing the hugging
and she'll secretly film you every time-
hidden scroll on the bookshelf waiting for you to come in the room and get hugged >:((
when she feels sad she always reviews those videos to feel better about things
and she never tells you she's filming :))
── 𝐍𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍.
is small enough to dangle from your arm as well
constantly clinging to you
she's very mischievous, but i think when she sees you melt a bit at any semblance of physical contact, a genuine smile would cross her face
you being softer also encourages her to be more vulnerable and less performative
she lives for the height difference though-
she won't be too affectionate in public when y'all are criminals
will let you keep the stoic facade when wreaking havoc for sure, won't jeopardise that reputation
but in private, only soft times, never serious times in the scary sense
serious times in a loving, deep talk way ;v;
she also has lots of photos of your sleeping face while you cuddle her

Once able to lay credible claim to the title ‘America’s most beautiful city’, since the pandemic it has degenerated into the poster child of American inner-city degradation, with iconic neighborhoods like the Tenderloin and South of Market swamped by the tented encampments of the homeless and the attendant rampant drug use, shootings, stabbings, ubiquitous street filth and general lawlessness, while city authorities and police have looked the other way.
Suddenly the squalor has gone – at least for now.
Streets and sidewalks were steam-cleaned, public spaces tarted up, police patrols multiplied. Public defecation ceased, needles no longer littered the streets. Legal impediments previously cited as a block to doing any of this mysteriously evaporated, like San Francisco fog when a strong sun comes up.
There is something hugely comical about all this, something distinctly third world for a city – for a country – which is meant to be one of the most sophisticated, prosperous, and high-tech on the globe.
For decades squalid capitals in developing nations carted off the poor and gave their street fronts a fresh lick of paint before visiting US presidents and other world leaders cast their eyes on them. The communist bloc was a dab hand at doing the same before the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. And now San Francisco has joined their ranks.
Comical. But also pathetic.

A federal court in Texas has ruled that X can move forward with its lawsuit against Media Matters. X claims that the watchdog group deliberately distorted how close major brand advertisements appeared to controversial content in a report it published, and accuses it of pressuring advertisers to leave X.
We obtained a copy of the order for you here.
Judge Reed O’Connor of the US District Court in Fort Worth declined to dismiss the case, acknowledging that X provided enough initial evidence to suggest that Media Matters might have “knowingly and maliciously fabricated” images that showed ads from big-name companies like Apple and Disney alongside neo-Nazi posts.
X insists that the scenario described in the report—where a particular ad was allegedly paired with hateful content and viewed by just one user—would never have occurred naturally, thanks to their sophisticated ad-filtering systems.
This alleged deception, according to X, significantly harmed the platform’s ad revenue as advertisers pulled back, wary of the controversy.

TOP 5 Favorite Gundam
Honorable mention:
Gundam Mk II (A.E.U.G. Colors)
Tumblr media
I really like the color scheme and the elements of its design that makes it look more bulky and solid. Personally I think that it’s a great improvement over it’s predecessor the RX-78-2. It also happens to have some of the best pilots (Kamille, Emma and Elle).
5. Tequila Gundam
Tumblr media
As a Mexican, I suspect that I’ll lose my nationality if I said that I didn’t like the Tequila Gundam, XD. (And frankly it’s silly to complain about the stereotypes when G Gundam’s basically “National stereotypes: The anime”).
Love the colors for this mobile suit, the Tequila Gundam doesn’t need to be strident to impress. My favorite elements are the shoulder and arm spikes and the mustache, of course. I think that they went overboard with the sombrero but it doesn’t look that bad either. Realistically speaking a Mobile Suit from Neo-Mexico would include Aztec and/or Mayan elements, but as far as a Japanese interpretation of Mexico goes, this one’s pretty decent, flattering, even.
Tumblr media
Also, why haven’t we gotten the HG Tequila Gundam kit yet?
4. Nu Gundam
Tumblr media
It’s huge, it’s elegant and it has funnels in the shape of a single wing that makes it look truly iconic. What else do you want? It’s design uses both elements from previous Gundams as well as new additions, which turns it into a great representation of Amuro’s evolution as he goes to his ultimate battle.
Also it carried Char as a basketball and that's always good on my list.
Tumblr media
3. Turn A Gundam
Tumblr media
I’ve only watched a few episodes of the titular series, however I really love this guy. His design is absolutely unique and it makes him stand out from other Gundams. Love the mustache, but also, who doesn’t love the mustache?
The preponderance of curved lines on his structure gives the Turn A a very sophisticated and retro-futuristic look that’s very pleasing to the eye, and even if it’s supposed to be an artifact from a lost era, his aesthetic doesn’t look out of place in the Turn of the Century world of the series. I just think he’s neat.
2. G-Self
Tumblr media
Look at him! He’s just sooo cute!! Big eyes! Round features! He’s definitely friend-shaped!
Tumblr media
(I don’t care that this is a weapon of mass destruction, he made me very happy).
The G-Self almost looks like a toy, and don’t you find it very suspicious? It also has multiple backpacks that are only used once and some of them are extremely bulky and unpractical. With the exception of the perfect pack, they don’t affect the plot at all. However, you can get their model kit versions of these packs as p-bandai exclusives. I wonder what was Tomino trying to tell us with all this…well, it’s a mystery just as G-Reco’s plot, I guess.
Gundam Aerial
Tumblr media
She happens to be my first Gundam + first model kit, so there’s that. Aerial also has a unique design that combines both curved and sharp elements, it gives her a nice contrast. The shade of blue in her chest armor and gund-bits is very eye-pleasing and it makes a good contrast with the red permet lights. It’s a very elegant and dynamic design. And the similarities with the G-Self make her pretty cute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But she can also look scary, she has the range!

I did not expect such bold beauty in this sophisticated 1922 Neo-Classical brick stunner in Washington, DC. 5bd 4ba, listed for $4.2M.

From the attic, we go down to the lower level where there’s a table for crafts and laundry facilities.
Tumblr media
There’s half bath down here. Very stylish.
Tumblr media
This lounging room has a ping pong table, some chairs to hang out in, and a big fridge, plus access to the patio. (Plus a snowblower against the wall, there.)

Thinking about it. People have discussed to death and debated over whether Chara was ‘good’ or ‘evil’, and talked about their feelings on fandom’s early tendency to cast them as a villain. But now I’m wondering why a lot of fanworks cast them as a hyperactive little shit who swears a lot, gets mad easily, argues with everyone, and is sassy as hell.
Sassy and sarcastic I can see if you’re going by Narra Chara. But rude, hyperactive, yandere-esque, and especially the swear words... not so much?
And yeah, I could make arguments about how hiding their face paints a very shy and quiet image. But I’m not going to grasp at straws from still images. I’m going to use dialogue very few ‘Chara is evil’ believers are willing to argue DIDN’T come from them.
In No Mercy, which is the one route basically everyone agrees they narrate, they’re direct and to the point and usually distant and unemotional. They’re not yelling that you’re a fucking donkey for believing you’re above consequences and can take back control, or heartlessly ripping into the monsters for being so foolishly naive and weak, or gloating over their victory. They calmly explain who and what they are, and what they want. The few times they do insult you, they use sophisticated words like ‘perverse sentimentality’. When they dismiss the monsters they’ve met until now, they don’t go out of their way to be really cruel and insulting. They remain direct and to the point, and are usually cold and harsh statements of fact.
Toriel’s check in No Mercy is ‘Not worth talking to.’ They’re not wrong. In every other route, talking does nothing, only persistently sparing her lets you make progress.
Papyrus gets ‘Forgettable’. Again, they’re not wrong. Very few monsters really take notice of him, most only remembering him in relation to other people. As ‘Sans’ brother’ or ‘Undyne’s trainee’.
Monster Kid is just ‘in my way’. Cruel, but objectively not wrong. It’s less of a ponted insult, and more how little they think of them.
For Undyne, the narrator isn’t even particularly cold or disrespectful. In two out of three possible flavor texts, they refer to Undyne as ‘the heroine’. Quite a compliment, and one that isn’t wrong, considering how she’s standing up to a mass murderer and protects Monster Kid.
Mettaton, in No Mercy, gets similarly positive or neutral remarks. ‘Dr Alphys’ greatest invention’ and ‘Mettaton NEO blocks your way’. He sure is blocking your way. And most of the Underground sure does know him as Dr Alphys’ greatest invention. I guess it could be read as sarcastic, but with the tone of all these other bits of flavor text, it feels more like a neutral statement...?
And of course. Sans. He probably has the absolute biggest variety of No Mercy flavor text. ‘The easiest enemy’ could be read as insulting, but this is corrected to a more objective statement of encouragement. ‘He can’t keep dodging forever. Just keep attacking.’ Other bits of flavor text are objective assessments of how tired Sans is, how YOU feel, and how dwelling on the flavor text isn’t a great use of time. At no point do they call him smiley trashbag, that comedian, or...anything really insulting.
At no point do they call ANYONE anything especially insulting. They’re not like Flowey, calling everyone idiots. If anything, a villainous and murderous Chara comes off as more cold and distant. Even the Save Points don’t tell you ‘5 more idiot babies to slaughter’ or specifically demand that you finish everyone off before moving on. Until you reach Sans, Chara makes no effort to discourage or persuade you. They just state objectively ‘x left’ or ‘but nobody came’.
They just... don’t care. They don’t care about any of these people anymore, not even enough to waste energy on insulting them. All they care about is reaching ‘the end’. (Or one could argue they’re at least trying to act like they don’t care.)
Chara states that they were confused upon awakening and chose to follow your lead. Personally I’m inclined to believe that they’re not lying. They choose to follow our orders to the utmost, even when they do not understand those orders, even when those orders lead them to the edge of annihilation.
On a final note. It’s kinda sad how Chara’s systematic completionist mentality is cold and horrifying in No Mercy... but in the Winter Alarm Clock dialogue, it’s a funny anecdote of a more lighthearted time which both Asgore and Toriel remember fondly, and a behavior Asriel still continues to emulate even after he stops idolizing Chara.
Any trait, when taken to the extreme, can become nightmarish.

UK ROCK BEST 100 ALBUMS - The 80's [CROSSBEAT (August 2006)]
Tumblr media
80's The turbulent 80s, from New Wave to dance revolution
Continuing the trend from the rise of punk to post-punk at the end of the 1970s, up-and-coming bands burst onto the scene one after another, trying to break out of the established framework, and the 80s opened with new wave currents. Derived from the radical, highly artistic and experimental post-punk/art-punk (P.I.L., Gang of Four, etc.), New Wave "combined elements of other genres (electronic music, world music including Latin American and African music, funk and soul, black music such as jazz, etc.) into rock music, while breaking new ground". This includes electronic-pop (Depeche Mode, New Order, etc.) / New Romantics (Duran Duran, etc.), ska revival (The Specials, Madness, etc.), neo-psyche (Echo & The Bunnymen, etc.), positive punk/goth/dream pop (Bauhaus, The Cure, Cocteau Twins), industrial/noise, funka latina, and early neo-acoustic (Aztec Camera).
Although the New Wave originally started out as a non-mainstream movement, many of the bands with a pop and danceable side were caught up in the zeitgeist and gradually absorbed into the mainstream. By the mid-1980s, the controversial Frankie Goes to Hollywood and the sophisticated sound of the Style Council and Police had achieved international success.
Meanwhile, the 1980s saw the exponential growth of a number of indie labels that emerged from the D.I.Y. spirit of punk. These included 4AD, a decadent aesthetic label, Factory, which became the nucleus of the Manchester scene, Creation, which produced the revolutionaries The Jesus & Mary Chain with their violent noise and sweet melodies, and Rough Trade, which featured The Smiths, a group supported by the "social heretics".
The Smiths did much to elevate indie rock to the foreground and spawned many followers. However, as if to replace their break-up (1987), the central scene was dominated by house and other dance music. So-called 'C86' indie bands (Primal Scream, Wedding Present, Pastels, etc.), who mainly focused on guitar-pop, were steadily active in the underground scene. It was also around this time that US hardcore flowed into the UK, having no small influence on UK indie bands.
Against this backdrop, a new trend was emerging in Manchester that was different from the rest of the country. The city had always had a natural affinity for both dance music and guitar rock, and the Happy Mondays and Stone Roses, who frequented clubs and raves, blended the two effortlessly. In 1989, this led to the explosion of a major musical revolution known as 'Madchester' (indie/dance crossover). -Sumi Imai
Tumblr media
Tin Drum Japan (1981) The greatest work of the band led by David Sylvian, who is now an electronica hermit. The sober negotiation sound with full-blown oriental taste has the chic of 'Wabi-sabi'. Eagerly awaits reappraisal. -Mima
Rio Duran Duran (1982) A big hit that successfully dispelled the prejudice that this band was just a band with good looks. The arrangements are still fresh today, with a rich variety of styles ranging from 60s pop to funk. -Kuroda
The Dreaming Kate Bush (1982) A masterpiece in which Kate, who debuted as a girl genius, transformed into a magical woman. The labyrinthine forest-like mystique of her perfectionist, meticulous sound and her uninhibited, magical voice is unique. -Hirokawa
You Can't Hide Your Love Forever Orange Juice (1982) A representative of the neo-acoustic group that emerged to put an end to the dwindling punk movement. Their deep knowledge of black music, insatiable pursuit of guitar sounds and naïve lyrics captivated young people. -Kuroda
High Land, Hard Rain Aztec Camera (1983) A masterpiece that made 'neo-acoustic', or rather 'music city Glasgow', a household name. Beautifully crafted with a meaty soul sensibility lurking in the folkiness, and later evolved from it. -Sawada
Construction Time Again Depeche Mode (1983) A perfect balance of hard elements and beautiful ennui melodies, including an early introduction of industrial beats. A monumental work that established the uniqueness of the Depeche sound. -Mima
Porcupine Echo & The Bunnymen (1983) The third Echo & The Bunnymen album, the quintessential UK New Wave record. Ian McCulloch's cool-headed gaze and sharp soundscape heralded the arrival of a new era that had broken away from punk. -Otani
Power, Corruption & Lies New Order (1983) A seminal work that attempted to 'break away from rock' by approaching New York house, but ended up having the influence to advance rock music itself. It was topsy-turvy at the time. -Mima
Synchronicity The Police (1983) The Police were actually a group of techie carriers who borrowed from punk. Each of their albums is "a perfection that you wouldn't expect from three people", but this last album is also a superb pop album. -Koguchi
Treasure Cocteau Twins (1984) Third album from the 80s 4AD representatives. This album pushed Elizabeth's voice out of the dark sound world and broke new ground filled with light and a sense of floating. Includes the classic song "Lorelei". -Yamashita
The Top The Cure (1984) The Cure's sixth album, which established a unique world with its pop sensibility and gloomy lyricism. Robert Smith's character became prominent from this time onwards. 'The Caterpillar' was a big hit. -Yamashita
Welcome to the Pleasuredome FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD (1984) FGTH caused a stir in British society in 1984 only. The treatment of gays, politics, and sexuality is intriguing and Trevor Horn's sound is lively and too ostentatious, but in a way a symbol of the times. -Sawada
Café Bleu Style Council (1984) After the break-up of The Jam at the height of their popularity, Weller chose jazz and soul as his next design. What the bewildered fans heard was destructive anger and beauty in a cool soundscape. -Kuroda
Psychocandy The Jesus & Mary Chain (1985) Sweet, decadent melodies emerged amidst raging feedback noise. A shocking work from 1985 that had a profound influence on subsequent shoegaze and alternative bands. -Kuroda
Steve McQueen Prefab Sprout (1985) One of the finest albums by the mixed gender group led by legendary songwriter Paddy McAloon. Brilliantly produced by Thomas Dolby. -Kuroda
Cupid & Psyche 85 Scritti Politti (1985) The second album by Scritti, who at the time were a trio. Their sweet voices and pleasing sound were well received, and songs such as 'The Word Girl', which incorporated reggae rhythms, were big hits. -Yamashita
The Queen Is Dead The Smiths (1986) The Smiths are the charismatic band of those who turned their backs on the glamorous 80s. A masterpiece in which Morrissey's fanged words, heightened by criticism of the national anthem, and Johnny Marr's lyricism intersected at the boiling point. -Sawada.
Saint Julian Julian Cope (1987) Made in 1987 by the Phantom of Liverpool. Narcissism is still alive and well, but the artist aims to conquer himself with ever more straight-forward playing and singing. The artist's confident, robust expression is dependable. -Hirokawa
If I Should Fall from Grace with God The Pogues (1987) The Pogues' best work, combining the melancholy melodies of Irish trad with fun-filled beats. The indie spirit of the Pogues brought a breath of fresh air to the rigid UK scene. -Otani
The Stone Roses The Stone Roses (1989) A work that set the standard for the UK sound from the 1990s onwards, including the band's eclectic sense of combining guitar rock with acid house and the attitude of the band. A masterpiece under the sun that gave birth to Oasis. -Mima

Terry gripped his backpack. If he managed to sneak away through all the chaos, then he could put on the Batsuit- The ceiling above shakes again. The fluorescent lights that hang onto it to give the lab a more 'sophisticated' feel swing cautiously. They give an ominous groan and Terry, without even thinking about it, pulls Dana away from it on the spot. A hole bursts open and contents of debris from the floor above spilled onto the ground before them. "Remind me to never go on a field trip again." Terry sighs. "Agreed." says Dana. The mess from the floor above had separated the group from their intern guide. If Terry could save him, he could make an escape and change into the suit in the same breath. The building was starting to come down on them and there had to be people on the rest of the floors who hadn't been able to evacuate. It would give everyone a scare disappearing like that, but he had no comms to contact Bruce, and with that there came no back up. Terry and Dana turned to each other at the same time. "You have a plan?" Dana questioned. Terry had no idea how his girlfriend was able to pick out his thoughts out like that. Sometimes it freaked him out, but it made things easier too. While she was frustrated with his odd disappearances, lackluster excuses and constant bailing on plans last minute, it was clear Dana knew whatever he was up to was important, even if it wasn't tending to Wayne's 'demanding' regime. Sometimes Terry stared at her, knowing that the Batsuit was hiding in his bag, or that he was wearing it like a second skin and wished he could tell her he was Batman. But then, Dana would be a liability. Bruce always warned against it. He had already been furious when Max had managed to figure it out. Terry scoffed lightly. "I do have a plan." He admitted, eyes flickering to worried classmates behind them. Their rose-tinted glasses painted an odd picture of Neo Gotham, 'nothing ever happened.' Clearly they didn't check the news enough. "I'll meet you outside? By the buses?" Dana smirked. "If they don't send us straight home first." She gave him a peck of a kiss before letting go. "Be safe. For real."
another snippet from my wip, called 'echoes of the future.' i'm really excited to share it with you guys and it's like🤏thissss close to the first part being done. i hope you guys really enjoy it when i publish it. i've been seeing a lot more love for terry & batman beyond on my dash which makes me happy too! - kiara

Obligatory pronoun/gender sanderssides headcanons because I reflect my transness onto characters I enjoy :
Patton : Ultimate he/him ally. I have a feeling he would be the type to say he doesn’t mind what pronouns are used for him but mainly for the reason he’s afraid to correct people, or he genuinely doesn’t care. I have a feeling he would really enjoy neopronouns and would be like “Thats so cute I want some too!!” (Honestly his color palette matches the demiboy flag which I think also works.)
Roman : Classic he/him himbo, however anything goes when in drag however being called a queen and a princess hits different. Confident as hell in his masculinity there is no toxicity here folks (except when Thomas was extremely closeted but we don’t talk about that.) Call him pretty and he will fall in love with you.
Logan : Honestly gives he/they agender vibes, he is way too emotionally repressed to think about his gender and his pronouns, and he mainly just dosent care. (He does care but if he thinks too hard about it he will have a crisis.) Definitely a jewelry person but is afraid to wear any incase he doesn’t look professional (LET HIM LOOK PRETTYYYY)
Virgil : Classic emo he/they, simply for the reason that the he/theys love him. He gets nervous around labels. This bitch closeted as fuck, but definetly runs a tumblr blog where he’s out and shares depressing dysphoria poetry. Is the bitch that asks janus what the gender of the day is.
Janus : This bitch nonbinary as fuck he even matches the flag. Any pronouns. Says he isn’t trans but giggles when called a pretty lady. When asked I have a feeling he would be like “bitch i have no fucking clue”. Definitely calls himself androgynous because it sounds more sophisticated. Has an identity crisis nightly and LIVES in drag to cope. Definitely catfishes straight dudes at clubs to steal their wallets and get free drinks. When asked the gender of the day he will say a very specific character description. Absolutely tortures Thomas with the idea of another identity crisis.
Remus : Genderqueer vibes (he even matches the flag). Any pronouns, ESPECIALLY neo/xenopronouns. Absolute genderfuck. Gender = HIM from the powerpuff girls. Definetly collects microlabels like pokemon cards because microlabels are cool (same.) Wears every pride pin at once to confuse homophobes. Also goes to clubs to steal people wallets and get free drinks, not by flirting but by pickpocketing them. He and janus go out on bar hopping dates.

We've seen the versatile and charming Chris Pine take on a litany of roles over his career that have stretched him both emotionally and physically. He has been the suave space pioneer Captain James T. Kirk in the Star Trek movie franchise, the sophisticated CIA special ops man in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, the charismatic and rakish swindler Frank in Don't Worry Darling, and most recently, the down-his-luck scoundrel in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. He has handled each of these characters with just the right amount of deft, nuance, and effusive energy. But the role that is without a doubt his most layered and measured is as Toby Hooper in the Taylor Sheridan-written neo-Western Hell or High Water.
While it might surprise some to learn that Pine has never even been nominated for an Academy Award, there is one singular part we think deserved not only a nomination but a straight-up Best Actor in a Motion Picture Oscar, all thanks to his elegantly rugged portrayal of Hooper. By now, he should have a little golden statuette on his mantle as we speak, and the fact that he wasn't even nominated needs to be re-examined as there are a handful of "Oscar moments" for Pine in the film.
Chris Pine has been called on to play all sorts of characters in his still very young career, but his role in the Taylor Sheridan neo-noir Western is by far his best. In Hell or High Water, Sheridan writes a part for him that really pulls out all the actor's talents as a modern-day Frank James to his brother Tanner’s wild-ass Jesse James. After a series of ham and egg bank robberies, the two main characters settle into place. Tanner is brash, irreverent, and seems okay with giving the whole world the middle finger. For Pine's Toby, it's not quite so easy. He has to be the brains and measured temperament of the outfit as they are on a mission to steal enough money to pay off the bank lien on their family ranch that sits amid the sprawling West Texas plains. Sheridan wastes little time giving Pine the emotional anchor of the misanthropic antiheroes and asks him to deliver a sympathetic felon who you somehow want to see succeed no matter how many laws he's broken or people he's harmed. It takes serious dramatic savvy to do that and be convincing to a smart audience.
As the Hooper brothers are on the run from the law played by the equally dyspeptic tandem of sheriffs named Marcus Hamilton and Alberto Parker (Jeff Bridges and Gil Birmingham, respectively), they stop at a remote convenience store in the middle of nowhere. When two punks pull up next to Tanner waiting at the gas pump in a bright neon green muscle car and start to give Tanner shit, Toby comes out of the store and sees what he perceives to be a threat to his kin (the driver brandishes a gun), and doesn't hesitate for a second. It's Chris Pine's second "Oscar moment" in Hell or High Water as he single-handedly delivers an epic beating of the driver. By the time he makes his way to the passenger side of the car, he is met with a stunned and frightened kid who doesn't want any part of the ass whipping he just witnessed. The beautiful part of the scene is watching Toby proceed calmly and get into the car and the two share a laugh as they drive away from the scene arguing the merits of Dr. Pepper verus Mr. Pibb. Pine can deliver the brawny goods if he needs to and the size and physicality combined with a protective brother bear instincts make for a stark and utterly believable outward expression of the lengths he'll go to protect who and what he loves.
We've mentioned "Oscar moments" throughout this article and there is complete validity that in order to win the little golden man, you need to have at least one remarkable and memorable moment that gives us goosebumps, warm fuzzies, sadness, fear, or any other manner of emotions. But aside from these isolated turns, there is an overall tone and mood that the character must create that permeates and sets the tone for the entire film. In Hell or High Water, Chris Pine has an unmatched reserved urgency about him that both slows down and speeds up the measured pace of the movie. There are a handful of tender moments between father and son, and the two brothers as well. He doesn't have a lot of dialogue, and that's the way we like our leading men in Westerns. In fact, Pine spends most of the film with his chin planted firmly in his upper chest peering up at his counterparts. At the same time, there is a restlessness about him that is difficult to pinpoint, but impossible not to feel — all the way to the front of your cinematic cerebral cortex in a weighty performance that is criminally unrecognized.

The Eclipse - 2022
(Thailand YouTube)
8/10
Tropes: sinister boarding school, haze the one you love, suspense, high school setting, coming of age
BL does gay Blacklist with a good boy/bad boy pairing (paladin/rogue). Starred First (The Shipper) as Akk & Khaotung (Tonhon Chonlatee) as Aye, plus the side dish pair from FUTS NeoLouis (Neo was shockingly good).
This is a good show with an amazing cast and flawless leads. First & Khaotung gave us a nuanced and multifaceted burgeoning relationship: philosophical (and socio-political) conflict contrasted to moments of empathy; flirtation contrasted to moments of genuine affection. This show has the sophistication of Not Me and balance of Bad Buddy - the best we can expect from GMMTV.
Aye is so damn pushy but with emotions as well a physical affection, he exposes his own vulnerability as a kind of benevolent attack on Akk to instill trust and self-worth and safety. While Akk is scared and closeted. The eye contact with these 2 is beyond eye fucking into something more like eye soul-mating.
The narrative was less about love than it is about courage (and tenderness). Whether that is courage to live or courage to love.
That said, 3/4 of the way through, the pacing started to feel off and I got frustrated with the plot. I don't think this show will hold up to a binge watch, or a rewatch, with twists both too predictable and totally out of no where (in a bad way) and a rushed resolution.
It felt like the first half of this drama rested on Khaotung’s acting and the second half rested on First’s. In both cases, the actors remained entirely in control of the narrative, it’s just that First got shafted by the fact that his section of the story was curtailed.
Despite these few flaws, this is an enjoyable watch, with an ending that features verbal consent and a funny blooper reel. Which I, of course, loved.

Towards a conclusion: May Day in context
May Day was imagined and planned in a similar way to hundreds of other anti-capitalist events around the world, and this links DGN to a global movement for radical change. But what does that mean in an Irish context? Anti-capitalism as a set of hopes, values, ideas and practices has been successful in creating a space for anarchism but nonetheless, as I have said, at the moment Irish anti-capitalism remains marginal; a movement in embryo that has only the shallowest of roots in workplace and community struggles. May Day 2004 was bigger than we expected but it was not the expression of a mass movement of any sort. For instance it was noticeable that over the weekend that we failed to attract significant numbers of Irish workers threatened by neo-liberal policies. They may well have been there at the march but they were not there in an organised fashion.
In contrast, in Genoa part of the Irish contingent was a group of bus drivers against privatisation with their own banner. It is a small and telling detail that these workers or others in a similar situation didn’t do the same in Dublin. Similarly, the weekend didn’t include any action in support of the non-payment of waste charges introduced as part of the neo-liberal agenda of privatising public services. This was discussed and several attempts were made to see this happen but because libertarians were a minority within a campaign dominated at a central committee level by Trotskyists these attempts came to nought.
Finally, our No Borders weekend was not backed or attended by any organised immigrant groups. Clearly, we are currently far from being a ‘movement of movements’. To change this and create broader networks will need patient, assiduous campaigning and increased levels of organisation on the libertarian left. It will, I believe, also demand greater ambition and much more sophisticated strategic thinking on our part. May Day was a whispered threat, a promise to the future, a party for the sake of a party, an example of direct democracy in action but in the end only a very small beginning.

Thinking about the underground and what he knows regarding that 🤔 in his timeline and time away from Paldea he has fallen into teams and organizations as a contractor, by work, or as a intern. He has no regard to morals, only that they have very sophisticated workspaces and there’s work that keeps him engaged (and most villain spaces have the high tech juiced up labs don’t they LMAO)
I’ll write a more in-depth and better looking timeline but it follows like:
Early 18-20s: Intern at Dr. Fuji’s company on genetics and engineering. He worked on Mewtwo’s armor and knows/has contact with Giovanni at one point professionally. Mildly understands Rocket as a syndicate but he only focuses on the work really.
If any of the admins were old enough at the time or around Mewtwo’s lab at New Island to accompany Giovanni or check in his stead with progress they might’ve crossed paths with a young Turo at some point.
He was off the week the lab was kinda uh…blown up and massacred cause he had finals. Close call—
Post Paldea: In his field and w/ Sada probably as either newly weds or deep in their relationship, he has collabed with Aether Labs because of how close their study fall into each other. Wormholes, the astrophysics and theoretical physics play into potential time travel scenarios and an infinite energy source to create these scenarios because of dark matter and science science science.
He knows Lusamine and Mohn on a personal and professional level. Probably mildly keep in touch between projects, was sympathetic to when Mohn was lost in a wormhole incident and tries to get back in touch just to say “hey I’m not dead” when he comes out of his ten years of hiding.
Post Alola plot if an Aether or a sumo muse is in that: he knows only that there was some conflict and wormholes tears were in the atmosphere (probably readings from his own technology, he keeps track). Doesn’t know intimate details and tbh…he wouldn’t bat an eye? More like: huh. …but the device and work behind it was a success..! And cryostasis as well? That’s quite an achievement-
Post Area Zero Accident: Left the labs, Sada and Paldea before the incident that kills her and sets up the events. Works covert for ten years with a very low profile.
- Worked with NEO Plasma on the ray gun technology. Knows of Ghetsis, maybe even crossed paths or spoken from a professional distance but primarily worked with Colress since he was far more prominent as the “leader”. Left post when his work was done and contract stipulated. Wasn’t there for the end of the BW2 plot.
- Fell into Flare to work on their own technology and understanding the ancient technology of the flower death ray thing. Near the end of the ten year period and he was really in the personal wringer. Like I’m talking rock bottom, doesn’t care about himself or what his work was being used for. Worked directly with Lysandre and Xerosic most likely. Probably has met some of the admins.
Either found a way out of his contract or escaped when he realizes he wants to go back home and fix the life he left behind. This was probably just before the day the weapon was going to go off and slipped away during the chaos.
- and currently in Paldea dealing with the consequences of his actions :’)
Again can work or omit certain details for muses. Just plot w/ me 👍 One thing muses outside the nuclear cast will know was that the second regional professor has come back after being gone for so long or even considered dead to take over Sada’s duties who passed in some accident. The details aren’t too clear how and why.
Closer colleagues will know about his theoretical physics, mechanical engineering and teracrystal studies and Area Zero Labs in Paldea. The Time Machine nor are the paradox Pokémon are really known. Maybe some rumors of strange happenings.
They know there was a falling out between him and Sada and they separated work wise as well, that the program went defunct after an incident, she passed and he came back to fall back into where things were left off.

A philosophically satisfying account has to take into consideration the historical fact that the “great revolution in rigor” in mathematical analysis, led by the German mathematicians Cantor, Dedekind, and Weierstrass (henceforth, CDW), took place when philosophy in Germany was dominated by various currents of neo-Kantian philosophy. Some of the neo-Kantian philosophers had a keen interest in science and mathematics. Indeed, the issue of the infinitesimal was vigorously debated in neo-Kantian quarters… Our main thesis is that the Marburg neo-Kantians elaborated a philosophically sophisticated approach towards the problems raised by the concepts of limits and infinitesimals. They neither clung to the obsolete traditional approach of logically and metaphysically dubious infinites- imals,1 nor whiggishly subscribed to the new orthodoxy of the “great triumvirate” (Cantor, Dedekind, Weierstrass) that insisted on the elimination of infinitesimals from any respectable mathematical discourse in favor of a new approach based on the epsilontic doctrine. Instead, the Marburg school developed a complex array of sophisticated, albeit not always crystal-clear, positions that sought to make sense of both infinitesimals and limit concepts. With the hindsight enabled by Robinson’s non-standard analysis, the Marburg stance seems wiser than that of Russell, Carnap, and Quine who unconditionally accepted the orthodox epsilontic doctrine, along with its simplistic philosophical ramifications stemming from a strawman characterisation of infinitesimals as a pseudo-concept.
