It is!! Another little creature has arrived! And it's so fluffy too! Though that isn't gonna do much in this hot weather!

Here, have some food, little guy. And come inside! I'm sure the others would love to have you!

That's right guys, Rain Wool is back in business!! Now that I'm getting back into the swing of needle-felting and FINALLY have lots more core wool to make all sorts of projects with, it's only right that I keep on going with this project, especially since, after Saint, I'm only one away from being done with the slugcats! I apologize for waiting so long to continue on with this project, but going forward I hope to start felting more of these guys more frequently.

In the meantime, however, I'm happy to finally share this fluffy little green bean!

It probably isn't very visible in these images, but on the cheeks, arms, and tail I intentionally left the wool less felted in for a softer, fluffier appearance. Since I have barely any of the straight wool roving felters normally use for long hair, this is my general go-to method for fluffy creatures.

I still think he looks adorable though, and I'm so excited to be close to finishing the slugcats!

Dp x dc AU: the watchtower gives out very strictly limited passes for visitors. They don’t need the world knowing that their HQ is in space after all, but sometimes family needed to visit.

Batman was the one to install the day pass system back when Dick was Robin- he needed the excuse to send Dick home to Alfred after a certain amount of time has passed and it just stuck. Unless you were a full time member, day passes were the best you got. Engineers and other supportive staff that weren’t members weren’t afforded day passes however- but Jazz is determined to be the one exception.

Jazz Fenton has been a psychologist for the JL for a year now (she just had a very productive performance review, thank you very much) and it’s been killing her to not tell Danny her office is in space. They do weekly dinners that he portals in for, and he knows that she takes a Zeta tube to work, but he’s technically not allowed to know that her office is a satellite. So, she sets a meeting with the man who started the system in the first place.

Batman is hard to read for most but she’s been his therapist for a while now, and she can tell he’s at least considering her request. Dinah couldn’t speak more kindly on Jazz and she’s been an asset to the JL in many ways since she was hired. Jazz’ arguments aren’t preposterous either- she’s submitted all of his identification papers, his background check, his job description and all of his friends names. She assured him that Danny will be able to keep a secret but when pressed she doesn’t reveal if he has any of his own.

Turns out, months of back and forth and negotiations were going be basically worthless- the second Danny got his little wrist band day pass, made it up via the zeta tube and got presented the view of Earth from the observation deck: he immediately transformed. Like zero caution, just went ghost and hyper fixated on the stars.

“You could have mentioned your Brother being Phantom. He’s been an ally to us for a while.” Batman grumbles in the way that only his family and she can tell through his deadpan.

“Yeah, I just thought that would’ve been a second visit conversation.”

this is their entire dynamic to me. Dirk being neurotic around his bf(f)sie's gradmadaughter and her finding the whole thing deeply funny. dave should count himself lucky that she likes him otherwise she would be doing the exact same thing to him (more often).

Nikto can be my parallel play buddy. Ask him to come sit with me so I can start working. He'd be perfect. Just sits there, silent, maybe reading a book, maybe staring at a wall, maybe watching me a bit unnervingly but it's just him being him

PARALLEL PLAY WITH NIKTO!!!!

Now here's the thing. I really do think he'd spend most of the time just staring at you, convincing himself that you're real and that you like him. I think the first couple times you have come hang out, he feels like an intruder, a dark stain amongst the brightness of your room (regardless of if it's bright or not.) He doesn't belong in the world of plush bedding and silly cat plushies.

But the thing with a stray is that if you show them any ounce of kindness, they will come back.

Sure enough, he routinly comes back to your place, sometimes just inviting himself in. Don't ask how he has a key to your apartment. That's trivial information.

If you catch him reading while you're doing your business, it's usually whatever books you have lying around. Nikto will pretend to be uninterested if you try talking to him about it, but you've caught him dog-earring the pages to keep his spot.

Sometimes, he brings his own activities and books. Usually the books are in Russian, so you can't read them, but if you ask nicely, he'll read them out loud. Not in English, but you like listening to him speak his native tongue anyway.

Next time, he shows up with a bag full of yarn and knitting needles. When you ask, he grunts out, "Gift." And that's all the information you get out of him.

The gift ends up being a scarf, knitted with chunky, green yarn. It's a little rough, given it's his first time knitting, but it's nice nonetheless.

You can't see it from beneath the mask, but he's grinning like the Cheshire Cat when he sees you wearing it out in public.

Bruce is really, really good at moving furniture. So much so that even when he’s just freshly dating Clark, Lois recruits him to help move some furniture to a new apartment she doesn’t trust with movers. It’s half said as a joke, but Bruce actually shows up. With Dick and maybe Jason as helpers. And they problem solve the hell out of getting her priceless antique cabinet across town. This wins Bruce tons of brownie points with Lois, who gives her stamp of approval for the relationship not long after.
