#the nearest grocery store to me is a 30+ minute drive#i live in basically a tiny island of just homes and NOTHING ELSE surrounded by just fields#i am literally housebound rn because i don't have my license and there is NO WAY to get anywhere without driving#look tiny towns still have people in them who are just as bored as you are#and would probably be thrilled to have some clubs or library activities#hell those things are almost definitely already happening you just need to find them#anyway i'm kinda bitter about these tags don't make assumptions about people on their own posts lmao

So I had the 40 Orange Cake for my birthday again, and it went much better than last time! I will be writing up some process notes, and possibly rewriting the recipe for real this time, but mostly I'm just excited about how well it turned out.

While i work I've been listening to an LP of the Telltale Walking Dead Games (the ones with clementine, I do not care about the others lmao). Ages ago when I played these I was well aware/amused that part of season 2 takes place in Parker's Crossroads/Parker's Run because I grew up right next to it and the detail stood out to me. But I never caught the line of "We'll head to parker's run. It's just up the road from here" until just right now. So I had a sort of "wait, where the fuck are they supposed to be right now?" (search)
ARE YOU SHITTING ME LMAO So by process of elimination, since it's the only city with anything even remotely resembling a large home supply store, that would mean they're in my literal hometown. My tiny hometown in the middle of nowhere that's never in anything that barely anyone knows of. How in the fuck lmao

What was it like residing in Japan for 2 years?
i miss her (being able to walk to the grocery store) (accessible public transit) so bad
#asks#pros of my parents house: its a nice house with a lot of space and i get free food and all my stuff is here.#cons: i cant leave. nearest bus stop is 30 min walk away and comes once an hour. notoriously not punctual#nearest store is a 7-11 thats 3 miles away and isnt accessible on foot even if i tried#i have a license but no car of my own rn and havent been behind the wheel in so long i dont think id be trusted with my parents cars#i miss my 5 minute walk to the once every 10 minutes bus. and being able to WALK to the store or like anywhere to shop really.#at least the bus here is was made free bc it sucks so bad ill probably end up using it at some point
