Knights

Tsukasa: Gallade. G.Rapidash. Swirlix. Leo: Gardevoir. Kingambit. Elgyem. Kricketune. Izumi: Kirlia. Clauncher. Bisharp. Roserade. Ritsu: Kirlia. Swoobat. Komala. Musharna. Arashi: Kirlia. Delcatty. Sylveon (shiny). 

Ralts line was the easy pick for Knights. They are both always ready to protect their trainer and pokemon around them and based on the whole concept of empathy and chivalry. Gardevoir’s Japanese name is Sirnight. Leo was the Knights' leader so I gave him Gardevoir which was introduced before Gallade.

Tsukasa is good at horseback riding so i gave him Galarian Rapidash. Tsukasa is really into the knights theme so the fairy horse works the best. Also, Galar is bri’ish region so it can work as a reference to Tsukasa’s english. Tsukasa likes sweets and snacks so Swirlix, the cotton candy pokemon, was a choice.

Kingambit is a reference to Chess and other Knights calling him “King”. Leo believes in aliens so I gave THE alien (not Ultra Beast) pokemon. Elgyem’s name is based on LGM (little green men). For Leo’s composer side I went with Kricketune. It’s the only music-based pokemon which fits “composer” rather than “performer”.

There’s no italian based pokemon dammit! Clauncher is a shrimp. Bisharp is a reference to Chess. Izumi is a model so I checked among Beauty and Lasses trainer classes. Budew line is one the common pokemon they use. And Roserade does feel like can be Izumi’s pokemon.

Swoobat was given as Woobat by Rei. Ritsu loves sleeping and napping so I went over pokemons who can learn Hypnosis, Yawn and Dream Eater. I picked two pokemon: Komala and Musharna. They both are Drowsing pokemon. Komala always sleeps and can cling to its trainer, like Ritsu’s clinginess. Musharna feeds on people’s dreams and constantly sleeps and dreams. Also, Ritsu does not like being disturbed from sleep and Musharna “can become a terrible grump should it be freshly roused from sleep”.

Sylveon became proclaimed THE trans icon as pokemon for both color palette and 1:7 female rate with “girly” appearance. Also, Sylveon evolves through affection which fits Arashi’s “big sister” role. 

Delcatty = Nyanko. I was torn between Mewoth, Glameow and Delcatty. Nyanko appears to be a Siamese cat which is Meowth based on, but it feels more like a stray cat. Glameow and Delcatty are more domestic cats. Delcatty looks more similar to Nyanko and more calm, then Glameow is spiteful.

Switch

Natsume: A.Raichu. Espeon. Both Meowstic. Hatenna. Tsumugi: Pikachu. Togekiss. Altaria.  Sora: Pikachu. Lucario. Emolga.

First Pikachu appearance! Alolan Raichu is the only electric/psychic type. Switch’s symbol is lighting and the main motif is magic. Hence electric/psychic type. Also Pikachu does fit Sora.

Natsume’s all into magic, spells and fortune-telling, so a full psychic-type team was a pick. Espeon was a first choice. Natsume has associations with cats and is said to have 2 pet cats. Espeon is most likely based on sphynx cats, bakeneko and nekomata and the most cat-like among all of eeveelutions. Similar to this was picked Meowstic. Hatenna is a witch hat.

Togekiss is left from ex-fine where he was a leader (his Togekiss has Super Luck ability instead of Serene Grace). Tsumugi’s main association is “bluebird of happiness” and first solo is named “Hummingbird”. Altaria is most likely based on bluebird of happiness for  The Blue Bird (L'Oiseau bleu) with japanese names referencing the character’s name, and Altaria’s category is Humming pokemon.

Sora’s synesthesia is described more like aura so I went for the aura pokemon, Lucario. Sora’s name means “sky” and “midair” and good at acrobatics and parkour. Emolga is a flying type which can learn move as “Acrobatics”. It's a cute creature which can be a troublemaker.

MaM

Madara: Braviary. Bouffalant. Kangaskhan.

MaM's style cowboy and sheriff, so the american pokemon, Braviary, was a choice. He’s aggressively protective of his friends and will protect others even if his life is threatened. And now guess which was I describing, Madara or Braviary (hint: both). Bouffalant = volcano bison. Madara calls himself “Mama” and encourages others to do so, so mother pokemon was a pick. I didn't mean to give him a full normal type team, but it happened and i don’t know what to do with it.

Special for Princess!

Esu: G. Rapidash. Minior (indigo). Kanna: G. Ponyta. F.Meowstic. Yume: G. Ponyta. Gothita. Amaura. Raika: G. Ponyta. Archeops (shiny).

They’re new and we don’t know much about them so it was hard. I was ready to skip them and just say “there’s too little information about them”. But it has been half-year since their introduction and multiple stories (events, scouts, idol stories) so it’s too late to pull out that card. Any of their producers, I will try my best.

All white/pink/violet princess-like have already been taken by other units (Hatterene and Gardevoir). And then i noticed… logo has unicorn on it what looks like Galarian Rapidash! I’m saved!

Esu’s fs costume is themed around stars and blue. I was to give him Starmie but it’s purple. That color of Minior is different from Kanata’s Minior.

Female Meowstic has a similar color palette. Kanna’s image is being stoic, calculated and kinda emotionless. “-stic” in name may be from “stoic” due to their generally emotionless facial expression.

Yume’s fs costume has a lot of ribbons and his original signature had a ribbon on it. Gothta’s line has a lot of ribbons too. Yume means winter so I went with Amaura also for cuteness.

Raika is Sakuma's distant relative and instead of bats he’s harpy. And there’s no harpy pokemons. So just bird. Archeops is the most “weirdest” one and its feather has a similar color and is as wild as Raika’s hair. He can have shiny. As a treat. Also, it’s said Raika is from a facility(..?) and Archeops is a revived fossil.

SO, this is what I've been up to (side from, you know. Dealing with covid). I won't be sharing a lot about them here, but the gist is: OCs band set in Bandori-verse, which I called "drizzle/LAND" (you just say normally as if the / wasn't there, it's just a stylistic choice haha). Members from left to right are AME, YUKI and ARASHI. 

This is their first "official" / finished illustration, and I thought it was kinda cute and symbolic that their first painting is their "debut album" haha <3 If you guys know or follow me for a while, you already know which real band inspired them, hehe. And if you are Brazilian, you will probably catch the couple of BR easter eggs as well! :P

The "TBS" program "Sakurai-Ariyoshi THE Yakai", hosted by Arashi's Sakurai Sho and talent Ariyoshi Hiroiki. First guests will be Fujigaya Taisuke(Kis-My-Ft2), Tamamori Yuta(Kis-My-Ft2), Idols Miki Fujimoto, Fumito Kawaii, model Miyu Ikeda, comedians Emiko Kaminuma, Natsu Ando("Maple and Donatsu"), Koji Yamamoto, Seki Futoshi("Time Machine 3-go") actress Nao Honda, figure skater Marin Honda, actor Shinobu Hasegawa.

The first guest, titled "A Night Out for Workaholics Who Have Started to Value Their Private Lives," is the west's talk queen, Kaminuma Emiko. She will be doing an intimate location shoot, something she has had almost no experience with before, and will be generous in revealing some surprising details about her private life. Also, in the studio, a kitchen reminiscent of that long-running cooking show will appear. Kaminuma, whose dream is to open a restaurant in the future, will be showing off some of her specialty dishes.

Meanwhile, Fujigaya Taisuke("Kis-My-Ft2") dreams of buying a camper van. When he visits a dealership on location, he makes an unexpectedly expensive purchase... Furthermore, in "A Night Party for People Who Are Busy at Midnight," we follow Tamamori Yuta ("Kis-My-Ft2") as he goes about his (secret) midnight activities, which is hard to believe for an idol.

Honda Marin, who turned professional figure skater this year, shows us her surprising midnight life in her home, which is being shown for the first time. Furthermore, curry-loving actor Nao makes an appearance at the super popular Midnight Curry, where you can go when you just can't help but have a craving for curry in the middle of the night. Each of them will reveal the values ​​they hold in their private lives, but will they be able to sympathize with them? Or will there be a gap between their values ​​and those of the rest of the world?

Info / Explanations for the Curious

All ages are from ES2 Era (two years after !).

While Jin and Akiomi's ages are currently listed in !!/ES1 Era as 31-32 and 29-30 on their profiles, respectively, these ages are not widely agreed upon, due to them not lining up with the Main Story's stated ages (which would be one year younger for each). Therefore, I used a wider range encompassing both of these possible ages.

Rinne and Niki never attended high school, and Niki therefore did not graduate with any of the ! Era third years, while Rinne would have been a third year during the War, had he attended.

Rei was held back due to his time abroad in his second year, making him one year older than the other ! Era Yumenosaki third-years, which he graduated with.

Tatsumi and Ritsu were both held back in their second years, due to Tatsumi's hospitalization and Ritsu's chronic absences due to his condition and lack of motivation, making them one year older than the other !!/ES1 Era third-years. Therefore, Ritsu recently graduated from Yumenosaki at the end of !!/ES1 Era March, while Tatsumi graduated from Reimei Academy around the same time.

Kaname was a first year alongside Jun during the Reimei Revolution (while Tatsumi was a second-year). Therefore, had he not been rendered comatose, he would have graduated Reimei Academy with Jun at the end of the !!/ES1 Era, making him the same age as the other !!/ES1 Era third years.

Hitsugi was admitted to the producer course during !!/ES1 Era as a second year, much like Anzu the year before, placing his age as the same as the other current !!!/ES2 third years. (While Hitsugi is 17-18, NEGI identifies as his older sister, likely putting her conscious around the age Hitsugi's original older sister died).

As of Ephemeral Festival, HiMERU is confirmed to be 19-20. This tracks with Akira's impossibly mature writing of children & babies (10-month-old Rei remembering specific details of Ritsu's birth, 3-year-old Hiiro speaking in full complex sentences about philosophy, etc), the possibility of Kaname being an affair baby (HiMERU ran away after his father's remarriage specifically; his father could have cheated on his mother before she died), the fact that HiMERU needs to be younger than Rinne (stated in internal monologue), and general Enstars timeline weirdness.

Seiya and Gatekeeper's ages are unknown, though they are typically estimated to be slightly older than Jin and Akiomi (mid-late 30s), with Gatekeeper seen as older, due to Gatekeeper's long history with Godfather (while Seiya is still an active idol with a late-teenage son).

Enstars actually has three distinct skin tones:

I shared on Patreon new versions of these in which I actually drew all the little stuff - it's also a different template and version overall, kinda based on this other OC inspo meme where it doesnt include the playlist or Inspirations, for example.

Decided to post these older versions I did many weeks ago when I was still on the process of figuring the characters out. Even their avatars are a bit outdated here. These are literally the first concepts ever I made for them, they look way too young here because I hadn't decided how old they were yet (I have now, their ages are 21 - 19 - 22). Even so, these aesthetics and inspirations still apply to them nonetheless!

Some little notes on AME: her real full name is Íris Santana Fujioka, because she's half Brazilian! I just had to, hehe. Hence all the little BR references in her chart :) Her first name is also pronounced like the BR version of it ("EE-ris", not "I-ris")
