Last night was tha opening reception for the 22nd Annual Exhibit and Awards Of the @nationalarts program . Its an honor to have displayed my art at this show. PPR Employees in the National Arts Program Exhibit

On December 14, the opening ceremony for the National Arts Program Exhibit took place at City Hall. City employees, retirees, and their families entered artwork into the show, which is coordinated by the Office of Art, Culture and Creative Economy. Mayor Kenney was in attendance and spoke about the importance of art in Philadelphia and thanked City employees for their service.

The exhibit runs until February 27 on the second and fourth floors of City Hall. Banners which were created as part of the Philadelphia International Unity Cup were also on display throughout the month of December in City Hall’s first floor gallery and the northeast stairwell.

The National Arts Program Exhibit will be back next year, and all City employees and their families, including children and grandchildren, are eligible to submit artwork. Winners receive a certificate and a cash prize. This year, it was announced that youth prizes will now include funds for furthering art education.  If you are interested in submitting art for next year’s show, contact Chrissy Rad at Christine.rad@phila.gov.
