How do you feel about trilogies? Here’s a stack of some of my favorite trilogies, including the excellent, but little known, Boy Nobody books. I am not a big fan of cliffhangers, but a book can have an open-ish ending and still be enjoyable. I liked the way Bracken’s titles worked in her Darkest Mind trilogy (The Darkest Minds Never Fade In The Afterlight) Some trilogies start off great and then have a big dropoff, like Neuvel’s Sleeping Giants. And some like Greg Iles’s Natchez Burning books make you wish for more. Iles’s trilogy is 2300 pages but it is great writing and a great story. Two other great trilogies not pictured are The Foundation Trilogy by Isaac Asimov and the Fall of Giants trilogy from Ken Follett - more big books but well worth your time.
