Andrei: I think I’m coming down with something. I’ve been so nauseous lately…
Natasha, seriously: Maybe you’re pregnant.
Andrei:
Pierre:
Natasha:
Andrei: I don’t know who’s the bigger idiot - you for suggesting that, or me because I almost had a panic attack.

look at her coat.... its soooo complicated and weird i want it so bad
the weird cape with the quilted (why???) lining completes the look but i have no clue how the fuck it rests on the shoulders sooo
like does it wrap all the way around the shoulders and have arm openings? or is it just along the back? these and other questions i will never know the answer to
sometimes i will just be trying to figure out how the heck a characters clothing works for drawing purposes and then 48 hours later i will have impulse bought a bunch of fabric swatches and muslin and have a padstitching tutorial open on my phone

kinktober 2024 day 8: forcefemme // multiple insertions (rosa/zima) (ao3)
Sonya cringes away from the hand on her chin, fighting the urge to run. It would be so easy, too. One strike to the arm, one to her face, kick the chair into her legs, and out the door, never to return.
"Hold still."
She glares at Natalya, sitting across from her, frowning, shaking powder from the brush that had just been stabbing into her eye over the compact in her hand.
"Aren't you done yet?"
Natalya scoffs. "We've only just begun."
"Нахуй."
Sonya stands, brushing off Natalya's hand of concern and pacing across the bathroom as best she can as the unfamiliar gown she had been dressed in billows behind her. "I hate this. I hate everything about this."
Natalya shrugs, easy and elegant in the way she hates. "Then call it off. Tell me it's too much, that you want to stop, and we will. No hard feelings."
The last part is a lie, and Sonya knows it. But what's worse is that the first part is a trap, and she knows it, and she knows Natalya knows it; knows that she will never back down from a challenge, knows that to admit she is too weak for this will break her, and so she grits her teeth, repositions herself on the stool, and resigns herself to imagining Natalya's teeth shattering under her fist.
"Good." Natalya purrs, leaning forward to examine her yet again, taking her chin with a single finger and thumb and turning it to her desire. "We'll make a proper lady of you yet."
Sonya snorts with derision. "Why would you want to?"
"Because nothing," Natalya murmurs, her lips inches from Sonya's ear, "nothing is better then watching them break beneath you."
Ah.
So that's what this is. This is the game; and Natalya realizes her realization now, and when she pulls back her eyes are alight with desire in a way Sonya rarely sees.
"I want to make you beautiful, Sonya, but beauty does not come from powders or silks, no matter what those in the ivory towers claim. Beauty, true beauty, is seizing what you are owed and making it beg for your mercy. I think you would agree, no?"
She does, and she hates that she does, and she hates that Natalya of all people knows that she does; and she most of all she hates knowing how this evening is going to end, that she may be strong-willed but Natalya Andreyevna Rostova is an opponent she cannot, will not, defeat.
But she cannot back down now.
"Good." Natalya smiles her gentle, perfect smile, and Sonya has never wanted anything more then to wipe it off her face, with a kiss or a fist, either would suffice. "Now. Sit still and let me finish. I need to you have a proper face to ruin with your tears."
