I've been thinking of Rabbit and Toad's color coding as just warm vs cool colors but actually I don't recall red or purple being associated with them so what if it's gonna be

Rabbit - yellow/orange

Toad - green/blue

Natalie - red/purple

Up until now I've been mainly associating Natalie with yellow to signify her being team rabbit, like how we also see Liz also connected to blue as opposed to Rabbit's yellow

But like what if Natalie's favorite color is also purple like me 😍💜 and you can throw in magenta and other pinks because those are types of reds and they're all ranges

Heyy! I've been working on these ones, and I finally finished them today :)) This is mostly based on my own research and the way I perceive them 🥸

Some insane, narratively-significant details in the first episode of Yellowjackets, from the set designers, costume designers and directors:

- The journal separating Shauna and Jackie:

- Taissa’s wallpaper being a forest, linked to her trauma due to the wolf attack and to her sleepwalking:

- Jackie and Shauna’s jackets and necklaces having very few differences, hinting at how deeply intertwined their lives/identities are (late edit no one will see: even their dresses are similar):

I cannot take the idea of a yellowjackets au where Jackie doesn't die frozen, but the hypothermia (+ the need of believing in some spiritual) leads her to a type of hallucinations where she believes Lottie is against her because Jackie is the true savior.

The group splits into two and the hunts are actually one against the other, the cabin is on fire over a member of the other group doing it, and so goes on with an insane jackie who needed so bad to believe in something that she becomes it in hope she could be in the control and not let it get too far.

Misty is a wolf in sheep's clothing

So aside from the obvious connection to her appearance, I think that Misty is probably the most misleading in terms of first impressions. On the outside, she should be fine- vulnerable even. No friends, bullied for being "weird", not really a part of the team, etc. But that's not the impression she gives off. When people meet her she's nice enough, but they can tell immediately that something is off about her. If it's too much teeth in her smile or the way her eyes seem so void of any real expression- who's to say?

When she's in the wilderness we finally get to see the mask off. She's not weak. She's not prey. She's vicious and will do whatever it takes to survive. She attacks first. And when the team would have been scared of her before, they need her now.

It's no wonder that when she got home, Misty wasn't able to put the mask back on like the rest of them. The wilderness didn't change her, it allowed her to be herself for the first time in her life.
