Weird Wednesday Headcanon: Inner Sakura is a STAND!

Let's be honest, guys, the only reason why the female characters in Naruto got held back so much in their overall potential and fighting prowess, was because of Kishimoto's, very likely, and I mean, VERY LIKELY (we don't even really know, all I am saying is, everything that happened so far in his material, and some of the things he said in interviews about the female characters, doesn't do him any favors), underlying misogyny, since...

Off-topic, but c'mon. Demon Slayer would like to have a word with him. The entire IP was written by a female mangaka, and yet she managed to make both males AND females in her story, equally as interesting and compelling. Sure, it was more on the simplistic and straightforward side, it's Shonen after all, but it was really well done, regardless. And even the "housewife" archetype was done in an appealing fashion, with Tengen's three wives, who were more than stay-at-home housewives, they were his bodyguards too, they kept active to not lose sight of their, now sadly, physically handicapped husband. Sometimes, you don't need to make every single aspect of your IP so deep and philosophical to be good. The point, "more is less", exists for a reason. And once again, because this is a mentality I kept seeing on Reddit and Twitter, just to remind you all, who will try to get all smart on me:

THIS. IS. FICTION. YOU CAN WRITE, ANYTHING YOU WANT! NOTHING LIMITS YOU! ESPECIALLY NOT WHO ARE YOU!

Like, this is fucking ridiculous, you really mean to tell me, that, just because you have a penis, all of a sudden, you can't relate to the problems of women, as though, they are an entirely different species from you? WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS? If you write, you write, nothing should be limiting you, unless maybe, you tackle serious, real-life problems, then it's best advised to do a little research first, before tackling them in a tactful way, but aside from that, NOTHING should hold you back.

Anyway, venting over, back to the topic at hand.

You know what'd be a serious buff to Sakura, overall? Outside of gaining access to the 8 Gates, thanks to Rock Lee and Guy?

...taming Inner Sakura, and turning that joke character into a dangerous weapon. And the way it works, at least if you were to go off of what the 2000s PS2 era was showing off with her, Inner Sakura is an inner, astral projection, manifesting in the real world, and making you eat her dust. Not convinced? Check it out:

C'mon, people! There is no doubt about it. Sakura. Is a STAND USER. And that stand of hers, is like if you were to fuse the lady that King Kong kidnaps, with himself. It just makes you ask: Why wasn't regularly used by Sakura? It could just be a unique extension to her Genjutsu toolkit, in that, her Genjutsu, is so painful, it has real-life effects on you. Basically, her anxiety and delusions are so strong, along with her wild, livid imagination, her mind ends up creating this astral projection of her inner turmoil. And with that, Genin Sakura, buffed to hell. And before becoming a healer, she is mostly a wrecking ball.

All she needs to do, is catch you in her Genjutsu raidus, and you're toast. She will toss and punch you around, like a little kid, venting its frustrations on its plushie.

Just imagine how devastating that technique might look for reals, and the reason I am saying this...

...mentally replace Jotaro with Sakura, and just picture Inner Sakura bombarding, her opposition, who might be, hypothetically, Kabuto, who is tormenting Naruto from afar, so Sakura decides:

RJ's Platinum Collection #25: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2

My fourth platinum was the first Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm game, and I loved it. And I had bought the trilogy collection, so of course I wanted to play Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2! But I got that platinum all the way back in 2022, so why did it take me an entire year to platinum the second game?

Oh boy. Let me tell you.

So the plot of Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 covers the first half of Shippuden, starting with the Rescue Gaara Arc and ending with the Pein Attack Arc. They changed a lot of stuff from the first game, and I think for the better. They changed the map to an open world where you can travel between multiple villages, all of the lines are fully voice-acted and the scenes are all animated, and the gameplay and fights are much more diverse.

I started off by simply playing through the main story of the game. I managed to get an S-Rank in almost every single boss battle, and also unlocked all of these things called Secret Factors, which are small bonus scenes during boss battles that you get by acing quick-time events. By the time I finished the final fight, I had gotten 24 trophies.

1/50: Bell-Stealing Expert - Acquire an S-Rank in "The Bell-Stealing Drill".

2/50: Clear Prologue - Clear the Prologue.

3/50: Village Guardian - Acquire an S-Rank in "Sand and Art Blast".

4/50: Sand Village Friends - Unlock Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, and Chiyo.

5/50: At The Mercy Of Puppet Jutsu - Acquire an S-Rank in "Sakura Dances".

6/50: Clear Chapter One - Clear Chapter One.

7/50: Naruto's Friends - Unlock the members of Naruto's generation.

8/50: Naruto's Teachers - Unlock Kakashi, Yamato, Guy, and Asuma.

9/50: Unstoppable Rampage - Acquire an S-Rank in "Forbidden Fury".

10/50: Difference In Growth - Acquire an S-Rank in "Showdown Between Best Friends".

11/50: Clear Chapter Two - Clear Chapter Two.

12/50: Clear Chapter Three - Clear Chapter Three.

13/50: Nothing Escapes You - Pick up over 500 items.

14/50: Hebi On The Move - Unlock Sasuke, Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo.

15/50: Clear Chapter Four - Clear Chapter Four.

16/50: Overflowing Hatred - Acquire an S-Rank in "The Two Uchiha".

17/50: Clear Chapter Five - Clear Chapter Five.

18/50: The Legendary Sannin - Unlock Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru.

19/50: Overwhelming Sage - Acquire an S-Rank in "Battle Between the Sage God".

20/50: Clear Chapter Six - Clear Chapter Six.

21/50: The Unknowable Moment - Witness all Secret Factors.

22/50: Vision of a New Wind - Acquire an S-Rank in "Earth Shatter".

23/50: Clear Final Chapter - Clear the Final Chapter.

24/50: Stealthy Akatsuki - Unlock all members of the Akatsuki.

With the main story completed, I quickly got a trophy for editing a Ninja Info Card, which I had never done before now.

25/50: The First Edit - Edit a Ninja Info Card.

And then I replayed the only boss battle I didn't get an S-Rank in, which was the Kakuzu fight. It took me a few tries to get it, but I eventually beat the fight with an S-Rank and got the trophy.

26/50: Fourth Hokage's Back - Acquire an S-Rank in "Sturm und Drang".

I then went around the map to pick up Memories, which are special scrolls that spawn after you play the game. Picking all of them up will allow you to watch scenes from the anime, and you need to find all of them and then watch them for a trophy. I was also picking up other special scrolls called Stories, but I didn't get the trophy for that now. I will explain THAT bullshit later.

27/50: Review Complete! - See all Memories.

I then started working on finishing a side quest where you need to locate these things called Cursed Dolls, which are basically dolls that can look like other characters, and you need to fight them. While getting all of the one's in the main world didn't get me a trophy for them - yet - doing so did unlock the bonus Fragment Chapter, which sees you play as Sasuke and fighting Killer Bee. That was a VERY hard fight, but I was eventually able to get it when I realized that spamming Amaterasu was the way to go.

28/50: Clear Fragment - Clear the Fragment Chapter.

After beating Fragment, I decided to clear all of the side missions around the open world that involved collectibles. This included finding all the messenger birds, finding all of Tonton's pearls, answering all letters, and finishing the Cursed Doll storyline by going to fight the maker of the Cursed Dolls.

29/50: Message Ninja Shocked! - Collected all messenger birds.

30/50: Oink!! - Retrieve all of Tonton's pearls.

31/50: Ninja of Letters - Clear all correspondence events.

32/50: Also Known As... - Gain over 50 titles.

33/50: Cursed Dolls Exterminated! - Retrieve all cursed dolls.

While playing through the game some more, I finally got myself up to over 600,000 Storm Points. These are points gained by fighting battles, and getting that number unlocked the last character on the roster - special guest star Lars Alexandersson, from the Tekken series. This also got me the trophy for unlocking all playable characters.

34/50: Assassin from Tekken 6 - Unlock Lars.

35/50: All Ninja Assemble! - Unlock all characters.

I then started working on the trials, which are a series of extremely hard battles given to you by a mysterious old man on the roof of the Hokage Tower. While finishing all those fights, I also finally earned 999,999 ryo, giving me another tropbhy along the way.

36/50: Wealth To Move Nations! - Save up to 999,999 ryo.

37/50: Trial Accomplished! - Cleared all 10 trials.

After the trials, I realized I had been playing the game for 29 hours. I then decided to just let Naruto be idle until I had reached 30 hours of playtime, which then got me another trophy.

38/50: Thanks For All Your Time! - Total play time in Ultimate Adventure is over 30 hours.

With all my money, I went to the store and bought every single item they had on sale, getting me the trophy for purchasing all of the collection items.

39/50: General Store Booming! - Collect all collection items.

I then decided to just do some free battles until I had saved up 999,999 Storm Points for another trophy.

40/50: Point Tycoon - Save up to 999,999 Storm Points.

Then I went to the battle item shop and, using a lot of stuff I had picked up throughout the game, crafted up all of the battle items I had not gotten yet during my playthrough, earning me the subsequent trophy.

41/50: I Love Ninja Tools! - Acquired all battle items.

I then focused on finishing all requests and finding all the Friendship Events that I had unlocked throughout the game. These are special scenes that you get between Naruto and the other characters, and they are all cute and funny, especially the scenes involving Hinata. Once I finished the friendship events and requests, I got the trophy for seeing every single event in the game!

42/50: All Friends Here! - Seen every Friendship Event.

43/50: Request Master - Cleared all Requests.

44/50: Conquered All Events! - Cleared all Events.

Next up I had only one more trophy for Ultimate Adventure Mode, and to get it I had to go to the ninja card shop and purchase every single Ninja Info Card they had on sale.

45/50: Card Collector - Acquired all Ninja Info Cards.

And now here comes the reason why it took me almost an entire year to get the Platinum for this game - online battles. This game is very fun. However, it is also OLD and therefore the online community for it is kind of dead. The only people who you usually find online are the ultra fans, and they are IMPOSSIBLE to fight.

And to get the Platinum, you need to get all of the titles. These are special titles you can slap on your profile for accomplishing certain things. One of the more annoying titles forces you to win 30 battles as every character, which I had done in Free Battle. However, I was also required to win FIFTY ONLINE BATTLES for the titles.

Somehow, I had managed to get to at least 10 wins, giving me two trophies.

46/50: On the Path to Ninja! - Won 1 time in online Ranked Match battles.

47/50: Dextrous Ninja - Won 10 times in online Ranked Match battles.

However, and I am not joking, I proceeded to spend MONTHS trying to get the other wins. But I think I only managed to get a total of 13 wins, and I was very close to giving up.

BUT THEN! I found someone on Reddit, a guy living in Europe, who had the exact same problem as me. So we figured out a day and time, and we just spent HOURS matching with each other online and taking turns winning. It was a grind, and painful to do, but eventually we helped each other get to fifty online wins, giving BOTH OF US that accursed trophy!

48/50: Which Name Shall I Use? - Acquire all titles.

I will never forget you European guy. You were my savior.

Now, remember when I mentioned the trophy for picking up all the Memories in the open world? I said I had also picked up all of the Stories, but I didn't get the trophy. This is because, it turns out, if you pick up ANY of the Stories before all of them have spawned on the map - like if you don't wait for every single scroll to spawn - then the trophy can glitch and you won't actually get the trophy. And that is exactly what happened to me.

And so I had one choice. I deleted my save data, replayed the entire story mode, but this time I made sure I didn't pick up a single story scroll. Once I finished the game again, I then walked around the entire map and picked up all of the scrolls. This time, thankfully, I unlocked the trophy, and subsequently my long awaited Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 Platinum!

49/50: Story Assembler - Collected 100% of the stories.

50/50: A Perfect Storm Master - Unlock all trophies.

I think this is an awesome game, and it does an amazing job of telling the story of Shippuden in less than 20 hours. It is incredibly fun, and I loved playing all of the roster of characters. However, the titles alone make this platinum almost impossible, as fighting online is a pain in the ass, and you'll only get that trophy if you're lucky enough to find someone else who needs the online wins too. Definitely play this game, but Platinum Hunters beware.
