Tobirama birth chart (headcanon)

Tobirama is a headcanon I've procrastinated a lot because as a Madara hardcore fan, of course I'm not enthusiast about the Second hokage. But hey! I need to conclude the cycle of founders birth's chart. And I swear, I'll be fair play !

I strongly advise you to read Madara and Hashirama's chart. For this birth chart, I'll go a little bit more technical in astrology. We will talk briefly about rulerships, aspects and synastry. I'll try to explain as simple as possible but if you don't understand don't hesitate to ask me more precision in comments. Ok let's go:

Based on the official databook, Tobirama Senju is born the 19th of february which made him a 0° pisces. At first glance, it's an intriguing choice. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac traditionally described as encompassing all the previous ones. Pisces is compassionate, creative, mystical. It talks about total acceptance, the dissolution of the ego. The drop of water reaching the ocean and merging with the divine before moving to a new cycle : a new aries. Actually in the beginning of Christianity it's not a mistake that Jesus was associate with Pisces symbol. It's the same self-sacrificing figure for a transcendent cause. We agree that it seems far... far away from the rational and composed Tobirama...

It seems that I need to articulate a coherent idea between his sun (ego), his rising sign( body) and his mars (action). Say in a different way, this triptych talks about public image. The king comes with a vision (sun), he shows himself to the public wearing a formal dress, an etiquette, a way to behave in public (ascendant/rising sign) and defend its vision with the help of a general (mars).

☉ Sun : Ego – Branding to the world

♓ Pisces

Some clues shows an association of Tobirama with pisces : his element is suiton. His blue charadesign, he's also one of the strongest sensor of the verse capable of recognising chakra kilometres around, determine their ancestry ect... and what is a sensor? but a shinobi using his empathy as a tool? More trivial he's favourite dish is fresh fish from the river. But I think what shows the most his affinity with this sign is his self-sacrifice nature for this new entity that was the village in a time when people were strongly clan-oriented. It's something no one could believes possible, it only existed inside Hashirama's mind. You truly needed to have faith on him to invest all your energy on it. If we go back to Tobirama's speeches, he always justify his actions for the village. We can almost say that he had a religious devotion for his brother's dream and he gave his life for it. He's never seen coming with a vision different from Hashirama's (contrary to Madara), actually like a zealous servant to a higher cause he's ready to kill immediately anyone threatening this village when he clashed with Sasuke for suggesting he might destroy Konoha depending on the answers he got to his questions. But I'll talk deeper about the Uchiha's obsession later in the moon part. The moment when Hashirama strongly forbid his brother to attack Sasuke was also the moment when everybody knew who's actually the boss and who obey. Tobirama was a faithful follower of Hashirama's will and dedicated his life to translate it into a realistic project (using his mercury and mars).

In a more positive light, anyone accepting the will of fire are nurtured and loved even if they are Uchiha like Kagami. Tobirama had a strong attachment to his students, much more that his brother. I know it seems strange but from the first time he appeared, Tobirama was the one always calling Hiruzen Sarutobi by his pet name "Saru" meaning monkey in japanese, or his other student "my dear Danzo". Hashirama is a goofy character, but doesn't seem to have such proximity with them even if he loved Tsunade, he immediately doubted her ability as a hokage. Later during the war, Tobirama is also the one always complimenting or supporting the new generation : He acknowledged Minato as being faster than him, Naruto for having the potential to be a stronger hokage than his older brother.

Ascendant/Rising Sign : Social personality – Physical Body

♍Virgo

the image that come to my mind when I think of Tobirama is an ocean surrounded with a giant dam. The mass of water is controlled, accurately measured, divided and distributed only when necessary. But, you might ask, can we really controlled the immensity of an ocean with a river dam? Of course not! but what matter in a rising sign is to display the illusion of control.

Virgo is the sign coming to correct the extravagant of Leo. End of august, mid September is the period of the year in the northern hemisphere with the best natural light. Not too hot , not too bright. Soft and round with million nuances of gold, orange and red. Traditionally it's also the time of harvest when you need to select and separate the wheat from the chaff. It's a sign that excel in precision, expertise, high fashion but in the bad side can tends to be narrow-minded because the devil is in the detail.

Rising virgo also talk about his physical appearance. Virgo is concerned about good health, best routine. Usually they are in good shape, average height unless the ruler of Virgo which is mercury is place in a sign with difficult aspect. And what set appart Tobirama from all the other founders is his charadesign flattering his albino's appearance. The cool colours of grey and blue, the fluffiness, it shows a natural sense of elegance without being extravagant for a shinobi.

And also the Senju are filthy rich, Hashirama have a strange (Madara would say ugly) sense of style, but Tobirama was like : "I may not be the most powerful in this house but I'm wealthy and smart, so does my style. And I will die on this hill."

☿ Mercure : Intellect – Communication

♒ Aquarius

I must find an explanation of the over analytical aspect of Tobirama. He's to Hashirama what Shikamaru would be later to Naruto : his brain.

Mercury in Aquarius is a big thinker, able to make atypical discovery, out of the norm and also subversive. Tobirama is the inventor of Edo Tensei which I remind you need to make a human sacrifice. In which condition Tobirama came to the creation of this forbidden jutsu ? And even during the 4th Shinobi war, he learned nothing from his past mistakes and proposed to sacrifice again someone else to bring back Madara and extort from him intels about Kaguya.

Aquarius as a fix air sign has the tendency to be stubborn and certain of their philosophy. Many people believe that the sign of Aquarius is humanitarian then nice by nature. Not always... Aquarius avoids emotional approach. It rather privileges logic, rationality to dissect human society. And it doesn't shy away from experimentation. The long lists of jutsu created by Tobirama is a proof of his brilliant mind.

♂ Mars : Action - Desire

Mars : Gemini

Reading again the 4th shinobi war and trying to focus on The Second Hokage rather than Madara was a difficult exercise but it helps me see his role in the war differently. He's one of the most important support character. If you remember my analysis of Hashirama's mars in taurus, the first hokage is a powerhouse ( a bit like Gojo in JJK) and thus tends to fight alone or one-on-one with Madara. Hashirama strength is to resist prolonged attacks and controlled someone else chakra. Yet his power is tremendous and can change the geography.

Tobirama has a different style. Although a powerful shinobi who can fight alone, he rarely does. He immediately fits with any partners he's close too. Hashirama, Minato, Naruto, Sasuke. He's often the one observing, testing and explaining a jutsu and reminding that HE created most of them 😂. On the spot, he also invented a way to save Sasuke's life with Kabuto.

Reason why I choose mercury in aquarius and mars in gemini is that he thinks as fast as he moves. in his chart mercury and mars form a trine which is considered a favourable aspect. being in the same air element, his mind and his action are flowing smoothly. Before Minato, he was considered the fastest of his generation.

Madara noted that his favourite way was to strike last moment when his opponent lower his guard. This cunning strategy is befitting mars in Gemini . This is traditionally represented as twins both crafty and fickle. Tobirama adapts to any situation, any war companions even those from the new generation he barely knows and immediately comes up with a new tactic.

I believe this adaptability is a direct consequence of fighting Izuna for years. We know that the sharingan can copy any technique except kekkei genkai. Hashirama can protect himself behind the mokuton but not Tobirama. If a technique is used once in front of an Uchiha he can't use it anymore and lost the surprise effect. Also the Sharingan can predict a movement. Tobirama found a way to outperform the sharingan by blizz speed with the Flying Thunder God Technique. Fighting Tobirama must be a terrifying experience, rest in peace Izuna😭. Imagine, he's there... then disappeared. then strikes and you only notice him when you know it's too late.

☾Moon : Emotion – Comfort zone

♒ Aquarius

If you remember in my previous HC charts, moon is easily guessed by childhood because children tend to be more lead by their emotions than adults. In volume 65, Tobirama was shown to be already a serious child, ready to defend his older brother from his father. Maybe the violent outburst of his father taught him early in life that the best way to deal with people is self-control, and strict procedures. And that's something that he often admonished his brother or his students. It's not that you shouldn't feel, but to him you have to keep your emotions in check.

Moon in Aquarius intellectualises emotions, and sometimes distance themselves from them. They can treat friends like family member since they believe in brotherhood beyond blood relative. Tobirama did everything to distance from the Senju heritage, he suggested a democratic election for choosing the first hokage and after his death the Senju ceased to hold power in Konoha, it diluted into the will of fire. In Aquarius there is this idea of giving privilege to the people rather than some monarchy (which is the leo's way).

Remember when I've talked about an ocean falsely controlled by a dam ? If the weather is nice it works but what will happened if one day a (red) full moon provoke a super tide able to engulf the dam and flood the world ? Nothing can control the chaos of emotion, it always moves somewhere and erupts somewhere else.

Moon talks about your emotion but also your irrational fear. And paradoxically Tobirama never checked his obsession of the Uchiha and this blindness caused many of the darkness that befall the Konoha he cared so much.

I said earlier that his fear of the sharingan was a driving force behind many of his inventions. Also Tobirama had an epidermic detestation for Madara. And the funny part is that it's not really reciprocal. Yet Madara had got all reason to be obsessed by vengeance since Tobirama killed his last brother but after he accepted the truce and created Konoha, he was willing to « tolerate » Tobirama's presence, but the younger Senju was unwilling to do the same gesture and kept his obsession to control Madara or any Uchiha willingly to follow his path. The databook says also that Anbu was specially created by Tobirama to put the Uchiha under surveillance.

We need to ask ourselves what an aquarius moon would hate the most ? As an air moon, this sign is unease with strong display of emotion, narcissism, drama... something typical of its opposite sign leo. An opposition is annoying but you can deal with it more or less. Aquarius also square 90° to scorpio. A square is considered as a strong source of tension than an opposition. Scorpio is ruled by mars. This sign thrives in passion, struggles, crisis, war, violence and transformation throught strong emotional turmoil. All those energies are challenging, and exhausting for an aloof, etheral and conceptual moon in aquarius.

Taurus is also a square to Aquarius, the lazy nature of this steady sign, rooted in tradition, is hard for an Aquarius interested by innovations and futuristic perceptive.

Now let's introduce a little bit of synastry. The art of synastry is to compare two charts and to gauge their compatibility. It's often use for couple or parent/children but what if we apply it to enemies?

Now remember my Madara's chart? His mars in leo is in the 8th house, conjunt his jupiter and square his pluton in scorpio. In other words : The expansive actions of Madara illuminate the house related to death and crisis. Madara's violence reach its peak in the house of destruction. In the positive side, it means Madara is built for battle and he loves that. Better to have him in your team than against you. And this tremendous tension can be source of transformation for the world and himself. In the negative side he is a natural disaster. He's a menace and unless your name is Hashirama he's impossible to stop and will create massive disturbance in the world. He transform and impact deeply the life of many characters in the verse like : Obito, Kurama, Onoki and obviously Tobirama.

So for Tobirama, his moon in aquarius opposes Madara's mars, and his moon also square Madara's pluto. So for the second hokage, any action (good or bad) made by Madara is source of concerned and suspicion. also the plutonic nature of Madara leads Tobirama to irrational fear and paranoia. On top of that he explains himself very well: The Uchiha clans is wired on everything he detest. Their power needs strong uncontrolled emotions to thrive. The deeper the feeling the higher the power, and the sleepless are Tobirama's night.

And yes Tobirama admits that Madara is the biggest sentimental of the verse😅.

♃ Jupiter : Infinite Expansion – House of wisdom

♍ Virgo

Considering that Tobirama is Hashirama's younger brother, jupiter spend in average one year in a sign. Depending how big is there age gap. His jupiter could be either in Leo, virgo or Libra

I choose virgo because it amplifies his uptight attitude. Jupiter is on his ascendant. His very procedural approach to life can outshine his sun in pisces. He likes precision and proper etiquette. He admonished Hashirama for not showing a proper dignified position during the hokage meeting. He reminds Naruto to respect his actual title, and correct anyone forgetting he owns the copyright of 80% of Konoha's jutsu!

♄ Saturne : Restriction – Time - Enlightenment

♑ Capricorn

Saturn in capricorn talks about authority and power. Time and stability. Here, Saturn is the ruler of capricorn. which means it express itself at the fullest in its quality and its flaw.

In positive Tobirama is the creator of all the institutions we know in modern Konoha. The ANBU, the chuunin exams, the academy, the military police forces. It's as if Hashirama was the spirit and Tobirama the architect. After him, Konoha was more powerful, stable and don't need anymore to rely too much in charismatic leaders in order to survive.

Again if we apply synastry between him and Madara, Tobirama's saturn conjunct Madara's sun. A conjunction is when planets come together and influence one and other. Saturn being strong in capricorn than the sun, it tends to have a highter toll on Madara.

If this saturn is close to Madara's ego, it would tend to exert a hold over him, a slow pressure to contain his sun. The big institutions of the village, Tobirama's political influence, the Uchiha under close surveillance. From Madara's perpective, he knows Tobirama can't fight him directly in close combat but he's building a system resembling a prison for him: he can't fight anymore his ally, he can't change his reputation, he can't have any political power (here I don't know if the Uchiha went to the military police force before or after the Valley of the end but anyway Madara wasn't included in discussion considering the nomination of the Hokage), and even his clan doesn't trust him anymore. And without a surprise even after Tobirama's passing those institutions and policies against the Uchiha ended up being their final downfall. And it took 8o years.

For saturn, times is always its ally.

♀ Venus : Attraction – Seduction

♓Pisces

Hard choice because we don't know if he had a flirt, or was married but it seems not. And we don't know anything about his personal dream. He's almost married to Konoha at this point. So by simplification I'll say venus in pisces. Which is an excellent place for venus based on rulership it's exalted in this position. Here she can expresses her most creative side. It would be funny if Tobirama is low key an artist but as practical as he is he probably brings all his imagination into his scientific researches and maybe his fashion tastes.

To conclude : Tobirama was a character more complex than I initially thought. Dedicated, efficient and caring for his village. I still don't like him though but now I precisely know why😂. Although I respect his steady strategy to destroy the powerful clan of the Uchiha, he really fooled them all. It was methodical and well planned. Compared to the other founders, Tobirama is more down to earth than his big brother, but also more patient and attentionate to the new generation than Madara. And if you love the will of fire (which I don't), yes Tobirama was probably one of the best hokage!

It's Astrology Natal Chart Time

the inside of my brain is a bowl slippery noodles that catch on each other, but the end result is usually nart and, lately, astrology. this was a very original interest for me to (re)take up in 2024, i'm sure. but brats playing and i'm sick*** as hell so here are my correct opinions. if you have some background knowledge and are reading this, i use primarily ancient astrology (in this case that means i'm only talking about the traditonal planets) but characters are objects, not people, and i would argue that the more psychological affectation of modern astrology is of better use. this is also a No Math reading. the slow moving planets will go where i say for these fake people.

mars is also fairly important and i do actually give this one to aries. no arguments he just acts like a dude with an aries mars. i think his venus and jupiter, despite being so important, are also up for grabs. i'd hear libra for both. i'd hear leo for venus. i'd hear leo for mercury, which isn't possible! straight up: i do not like any of the mercury choices i don't think any suit how he thinks and acts. i don't even think he has a libran mercury, but its the least No one i can think of. can't always win.

i am dead certain he has a helpful saturn, which sounds insane when you think about all the restrictions he was born under but that shit sorts itself out before he's even twenty. as a bitch with a shitty saturn i could never!!!!! reorders and restructures his whole society.........aquarius coded tbh.

okay so all of team 7 should have lucky saturns and i'm so sorry baby to do this to you. i do not see this for her. i think she may have a sun-saturn conjunction. think of it as having your light dimmed by misfortune, misunderstanding or misuse. i don't really feel like doing synastry charts for these three -i would literally have to do the math personally, but considering what I have said sasusaku could work really well here for pushing growth on both of them. they'd also definitely get divorced.

Sun Sign Astrology Lesson ft. Shino Aburame and Obito Uchiha: Aquarius Suns

The Sun Sign is THE sign people are asking for when they simply ask, "What's your sign?" And just like the sun, your sun sign is what shines through the most, big and hard to ignore, no matter what the rest of your natal chart looks like. The Sun symbolizes our Waking Consciousness and determines how we (for the most part) perceive and experience our world, and how we generally act unprovoked and without incentive.

The only real problem? Every Zodiac Sign has a Celestial Body Placement (planet, star, satellite, ect) that is their Domicile (Ruler), Exaltation (or Amplifier), Fall (Weakening) and Detriment (Opposer).

The Sun is Leo's Domicile, and the opposite of Leo is Aquarius which, in the Sun, is in Detriment. When a Sign is in Detriment/Opposed in a Placement, it's just REALLY difficult for that sign to function in that Placement's designated purpose or specialty. And that, my friends, is why Aquarius Sun individuals are so commonly seen as these unadjusted weirdos, right off the bat. The rest of the chart can balance the Aqua Sun out, but it's not a guarantee.

So it stands to say that Shino Aburame, as an Aquarius Sun, is one of those oh so stereotypical, "quirky" and "rebellious" Aquarius. Those commonly described as "friendly but detached" in schmoozing magazines and trendy online articles.

Except, he doesn't come off as friendly at first. It's not that he's hostile or unfriendly. He's just blunt as a club and has no patience for tomfoolery. He is without a filter. Simply, he's most likely a Virgo Rising. Earth Signs in general are the most guilty of having RBF Syndrome (especially in the Rising Placement, which designates appearance/mannerisms/presence). Even if you can't clearly see Shino's face, you can tell very quickly Shino is the kind if person who is very much serious and stiff under all those layers. Despite that, he's very well put together and you can see he dresses for efficiency (hiding his Kikaichu and giving them room) as much as he does for fashion (he even dresses in earthy colors lol). The rest if the clan does this as well, though, so that could be a clan culture thing. Shino also has a very analytical way of speaking, and first impressions of him seem to mark him as nitpicky, careful, and a loner, which is out of comfort, not necessarily desire. Comfort and Practicality is what marks an Earth Sign. Compared to Virgo, Aquarians tend to be a lot more friendly and outwardly "eccentric" (and yeah, he is weird, even for an Aburame lol) but are also Independent and main Logic as Air signs. Being Independent and being a Loner aren't the same thing, but he ends up doing both in the beginning anyway.

In comparison, Obito Uchiha is very much an Aquarius full force, it shines through even his Rising, which I would wager to be a Leo Rising specifically, being both a Fixed and Fire sign. Aquarius is ALSO a Fixed Air sign, which can symbolize Fixed Ideoloy. Super stubborn, has to be right, and BOY does this dude really fixate on that poor girl Rin Nohara. Another type of characterization Aquarius is known for is that of The Humanitarian, but that's usually an evolved Aquarius. A low frequency Aquarius is a know-it-all that never admits they're wrong and is constantly trying to appear "different and unique" because they think it actually means "better" for some fucking reason?? Arrogant AF haha. They ARE the Black Sheep, they're the Hipsters, the Alien that doesn't belong, they're the one's with the ideas that will change the world, even though everyone else ignores them or thinks they're full of shit (tho a lot of them really are!). Plus, with a Leo Rising, he comes off as very self centered and wanting to be the main attraction, something Kakashi doesn't let him have, especially in front of Rin lol. But still, Leos are also very kind and generous (though ppl tend to not see it). I mean if it meant protecting Rin, Obito quite literally GAVE Kakashi his Sharingan possessing EYE... yeah... And one of my favorite Dark Side characterizations of Aquarius is that of the Evil Mad Scientist that Plans to make Humanity their bitch. And, like, OBITO BASICALLY HAD THAT AS AN AIM?? In a sense? Or was super okay with helping because he was like, "Yeah, I can get behind this." It took some manipulation, but if you appeal to an Aquarius' mind, they become very dedicated to a cause. Very Aquarius of you, Obito.

To be honest I don't know too much about Obito or Rin, but I can sure see the Aquarius in his general character design from what I've stumbled upon (spoilers due to roaming tumblr really) There's also Suigetsu Hozuki, but I really don't know anything about that guy other than he's basically a Human Vaporeon and the fact he COULD have murdered Sasuke at one point but DIDN'T because... he figured it wasn't worth it?? Didn't care enough? Would ruin the plot? Idk.

Anywho, yeah, if at least Shino and Obito aren't examples of naturally unadjusted Aquarius Sun individuals, then shit bro. At least Shino grows up into a HEALTHY individual. Obito... was unfortunate... But I've always liked the Aquarius-like Villains/Antagonists. They always come off kinda crazy, but the best have that barely contained crazy with that super warped out there thinking haha.

Gaara’s Astrology Analysis

I was working on an extensive astrology post for Sasuke, Itachi, Naruto, Sakura and Karin and while in the process of doing that I also got some of Gaara, Suigetsu and Kakashi’s placements, but adding them to my other post would make it far too long so I’m making a few brief post like the one I previously did for Karin about them for now.

This post will be focused on Gaara’s placements. As per usual, the sun is canon, the moon was calculated based on Naruto’s moon and the rest were calculated based on Sasuke’s placements. His chart isn’t complete (particularly since I don’t have any guesses for his ascendant so I can’t say anything on his house placements). I haven’t checked his natal aspects but I did have a look at synastry for confirmation. Natal aspects and composite and all that will be in a more extensive post in the future.

Gaara’s placements:

sun in capricorn 28 degrees

moon in leo 16, 18, 20, 22, 26 or 27 degrees

venus in sagittarius 11 degrees

mars in libra 29 degrees

saturn in cancer 20 degrees

neptune in libra 24 degrees

pluto in aquarius 18 degrees

That venus in sagittarius mixed with mars in libra really makes sense for that scene in the chuunin exams where he was like “I’ll still kill you all and I need more blood but I’ll pour more energy to make sure it doesn’t hurt much and it’s a quick death. There’s probably a bit of pluto doing something too but I’m not sure what yet.

Also the whole “self-love” thing and wanting to be adored along with a moon in leo is simply perfect.

He’s kind of short so I was wondering if he has some type of mercury influence on his ascendant/first house but I need to consider a lot of things in order to get an estimate for his ascendant so lets leave it for now.

cap 28 (sun):

People who will rule or direct others; industrious planner; enjoys life in his or her own way.

lib 24 (neptune):

His desires are strong and may run riot with his reason. There is a leaning to the artificial, the theatre, and the dance, and a very sensuous love of earth life. It is a symbol of Vacillation.

lib 29 (mars):

Clairvoyance, a seeker after truth, much given to meditation.

Denotes one who will have to wake up else he will be elbowed out of everything by others more vigorous. He is possessed of good mental qualities, is well-mannered and good-natured, but he allows others to take advantage of him, and he will suffer from deceit and unfairness. It is a symbol of Sluggishness.

sag 11 (venus):

Science, practical art work, fond of skating, boxing or other athletic sports, or the Venus type with a pleasant personality. 9-13 Sagittarius sometimes denotes peculiar dreams; criminal tendencies; properly losses; accidents.

Some synastry for confirmation:

He noticed Sasuke quickly and immediately established a connection with him with both of them being on each others radar while he pretty much ignores Naruto initially but later, Naruto manages to influence him and he grows a bit attached to Naruto as a result and this narrative does show itself in this chart make up. 

He seems more on the emotionally driven side than the logical side, similar to Naruto. This shows up in his chart as well since he shares a lot of internal signs with Naruto, albeit with differing planets (they also both like gardening).

There was also his interaction with Sasuke at the kage summit where he tried to read him and they could communicate better than Sasuke and Naruto were managing at the time as he got Sasuke to actually listen to what he has to say but he didn’t manage to influence him or really get him (granted he didn’t have the necessary context but still). 

He has his sun conjunct Sasuke’s ascendant which means he is more likely to notice him immediately and establish rapport, On the other hand, he has his moon (comforts, emotions, vulnerability) in the same sign as Naruto’s ascendant and saturn and Sasuke’s sun and mercury. This shows the way the relate to him emotionally to an extent as he could see himself in Sasuke in the emotional sense while Naruto could perceive and influence his emotions but not without him lashing out first. I personally think that he has his moon later in leo and it isn’t forming an aspect to either of their leo placements. His moon is closer to Sasuke’s 12th degree mercury compared to Naruto’s 5 degree ascendant which again, shows how he connected more instantly with Sasuke while his connection with Naruto took time and specific circumstances. 

On the other hand, his moon is aspecting Naruto’s pluto, moon, mars, sun, venus (out of sign) and mercury so that immense influence Naruto has on him to the point of worship makes sense (although there needs to be more stuff for that then just moon but it’s certainly a contributing factor). His neptune is also making a lot of significant aspects to Naruto’s planets which is a sign of idealization and can lead to worship, idolization and projection.

He has more internal connections to Naruto compared to Sasuke as he has his venus in the same sign as Naruto’s mars (they aren’t forming an aspect) and his mars is in the same sign as Naruto’s stellium (sun, mercury and neptune). There are also plenty of aspects.

His pluto is aspecting Naruto’s sun, moon and mercury (all soft aspects) while he is forming hard pluto aspects to Sasuke’s moon, mercury and mars. 

Something else that I’ve notices is how his mars exactly sextiles Naruto’s venus and how his venus semi-sextiles Sasuke’s mars.

Saturn would be another thing to look at but I’m going to leave it here for now.

He has mostly harmonious aspects to Naruto’s chart and he seems to be the type who prefers harmonious aspects (I don’t think that is the case with Naruto since he has a moon in aries and a fire mars along with his venus in scorpio and pluto in the 7th, extremely harmonious types of relationships would likely bore him, and I’m talking about relationships in a neutral sense just incase you read this and think I'm talking about romance or something of that nature).

We have established that while his connection to Sasuke was more immediate, he ultimately has more connecting him to Naruto and I think the composites should also reflect that but I haven’t gotten around to drawing them yet so that remains to be seen.

So to conclude, this chart seems to fit him pretty well.

How do I make natal charts of characters that don't exist? A kinda "method"(?)

Call it obsession, I like to call it passion and so that will be the term I will use.

The assumption is that it's something I enjoy doing, without any claim to being the only right interpretation on the face of the earth. Once that's cleared up, we can move on to the real business at hand: how the hell do you make a natal chart for an average xyz character?

First, I want to say that it's much simpler than it sounds. Oftentimes, you at least have the day and month of birth. The year is a little less expected, but you can find that quite often as well.

In the case of Death Note, the mangaka provided all three (including birthplaces). This allows for a fairly accurate analysis of birth charts, within a certain limit ( I personally have never tried to look it up for birth time. Guesswork has a limit, and I personally am much more fascinated by the rest of the chart and its combinations, without detracting from the importance of the Houses).

So several situations can occur. One can have:

Age, day, month, year, place of birth.

Age, day, month, year;

Age, day, month;

Age, month (maybe the year, maybe not);

Only the age.

Of course there can be further combinations between the different factors: you can have age with birthplace, or day with year. Or again, you can have a vague "30+", or "in his late thirties". Having a vague idea to take as a time reference is still better than having none at all.

The first situation is obviously the best. All you need is a natal chart calculator, and you're done. The implicit assumption here is that the information found is reliable. Not like some random dude who wrote Overhaul's birth date randomly, screwing me over and making me believe he was a Gemini until Horikoshi revealed his true birth date oooof So uhm, don't imitate me and always verify where the information comes from so then you don't have to knock over all the ideas you had about the character in question.

The second situation is a bit more complex. It all depends on the universe: if it is modern, with existing references, it becomes more intuitive to consider a real place as a basis (for example, Soul Eater). If the place where the story is set does not exist (for example, Naruto or One Piece or Black Clover) I take into account the birthplace of the mangaka and / or the birthplace of the original language voice actors.

The third situation is the one that occurs to me the most. Setting a story in an indefinite period of time involves (also) this. This situation is not difficult, actually. You can take the year of first publication or release of the work in question and treat it as the reference date for calculating the year of birth of each single character. Uchiha Madara's birth chart : Headcanon

The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly

I'm so excited for this post ! It was actually the reason number one why I started this tumblr. What if we had Madara birth chart ? I know that many of you are not familiar with astrology vocabulary so I'm trying to do it as simple as possible. If you have more questions please ask them in comments and I encourage you to do your own researches as well.

So what is a birth chart in astrology? First let's agree that sun's radiation impact your skins tone, your mood, your sleep's cycle. Moon's cycles rise oceans, tremendous mass of water, and it's a bit naive to thing it does not affect little mammal like humans made up of 70% of water and other fluids. The same goes on with all planets of our solar system.

However people are not determinate solely by nature. It's like a DNA, two twins got the same hand of cards at birth but since they are two different souls, they play in two different way. But still people with the same cards tend to have similar strategy in life.

In daily life, when people refer to their signs they actually talking about their Sun sign. While to have a more accurate understanding of a person you need to know where are place the 10 planets, plus moon and sun, asteroids, and other mathematical points ( liliths, north node ect). Then, a birth chart is a simplified photography of the sky at the time of your birth. So sometimes you will heard someone saying : I'm not at all a Virgo, but when you analyse their whole chart, you realize that they have all their planets in Aries for example, putting more dynamic energy into the modest earth sign.

This being said I invent Madara's chart out of fun, based on how I interpret his whole behaviour in Naruto. And I will be more than happy to read your own version of him👀, don't be shy. The only canon fact is his birth chart 24th of December.

In this part I will talk about the personal planets : Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturne and Ascendant.

I may do a second part later if really you are interested on generational planets Uranus, Neptune, Pluto : but it will be more about talk about the Founders era than just Madara. I don't know...let me know in comments what you want.

☉ Sun : Ego – Branding to the world

♑ Capricorn

Capricorn is the classic OP villain. Just read the description : rigorous, cold, unbothered, disciplined, strategic. Without much effort, everybody recognize him on surface level. I won't go too deep since I have already dig into details in my ask : Madara as an Archetype of Capricorn

Ascendant/Rising Sign : Social personality – Physical Body

♑Capricorn

We talk about the ascendant as the constellation sign who was ascending (or rising) on the eastern horizon at the time of birth.

Now let's go straight into my headcanon. Contrary to sun where you have to put some will, Ascendant or as well called rising sign are something that you mastered already, it's who you are effortlessly. It has an impact to your physical appearance, health and how socially you naturally behave. In this case, I just compare him to other Capricorns present in the manga : Gaara, Hinata, Danzo, Gai (yes surprisingly!) Contrary to them, Madara embodies physically the toughness of Capricorn who have been thought hell to be who he is. You can read in his body, the wildness of his character. He is not the taller or the bigger muscle but you know by his physical posture that man is unstoppable. Even death is not an obstacle.

A nice opposite to what I just said for example is Kabuto (sun Piscse) maybe ascendant gemini ? even if we know that he is a brilliant villain and gave us the best twist plot...well I'm not scared or fascinated by Kabuto chara design. And that's Pisces' force they look inoffensive so nobody saw them coming... but Pisces is story for an other time !

In Madara it's not the case, what he is, is what you get. In his demeanour you can tell he means what he said, if you don't move from his path he will walk over you, manu militari. And the Capricorn is represent by the G.O.A.T. ( Greatest Of All Time) right ? Definitely yes, that's our man.

☾Moon : Emotion – Comfort zone

♋Cancer

Moon by nature is receptive. In astronomy, we know that this satellite of Earth shines by reflecting the sun's light. Moon is about intuition and creativity. A creative acts like a pregnant woman, who receives inspiration from outside, keeps it inside to gestate it and then delivered something else brand new to the world. Moon in western astrology is as well strongly attached to the Woman and the Mother. Woman's cycle and the Moon phase are strangely similar : 28 days divided in 4 part : new moon, moon waxing, full moon, moon waning. Cancer's archetype is the Mother. Not saying all mothers are like this but it's an ideal. The caring one, the unconditional love, the protector, the nurturer, the receiver. This being said Moon is at its strongest in Cancer.

In Naruto univers, the moon is more flagrant in the childhood. Children are more in touch with their emotions, when they grow up their ego (sun) takes over place and you need to be in their intimacy to witness their moon.

Madara's moon is both a challenge and a subversive task. Because he is probably one of the character who hide it the most. It's really hard to reach his intimate thought, or emotion self. And majority of naruto fandom think he doesn't have any, which is rigorously impossible. For a long time I hesitated between leo and cancer, both had solid argument but my final choice was cancer.

Remember I said in my previous post is Madara our Lord and Saviour ? And as well Today is Winter Solstice , Capricorn is associated with darkest part of the year. In contrary Cancer starts with Summer solstice where light prevailed on darkness, isn't it a nice opposition to have a character with very scary outer appearance, but internally moved by the softest heart ?

Hashirama again and again repeated that Madara is kind, more loving that Itachi to Sasuke. And we all shed generous tears for Itachi so how is that even possible to conceive a love stronger that a brother who sacrifice his clan and his own reputation for it ? Everything about Madara's moon is off screen but isn't moon's nature to hide from others ? and for us readers, it's hard to admit his softer side because we were exposed to him in his most wounded version. In Hashirama's memories we just saw a glimpse of it. A moody child but also attentive to Hashirama's sorrow, a kid that back then he barely knows. Still two things kept my attention : the protective almost motherly love towards Izuna (he gave up his army to the ennemy for him, a mistake for a military leader). And his attachment though time for Hashirama's friendship even if all events wants them to hate each other. Cancer never let it go, it clings desperately to the past. Have you ever tried to loosen crab pincers ? You can't. Unless they want it, it's impossible and they hold to you till death and beyond.

But Crab/Cancer not only hold but they pinch HARD ! We generally have this naive image of cancer, desperately romantic and crybaby which they are to some extend. But cancer in their worst side can be the most terrible manipulator. They will hate you with the same intensity they loved you once unconditionally. They play with your emotional weakness ( Obito). Worst idea to have them as swear enemy. Dark Cancer is the definition of a troll. They hate you so much, but they are more loyal to your page than you own partner, they won't let you go and they are obsessive and irrational in their Vendetta against you. Madara has this ambivalent relationship towards Hashirama, he pretends to hate him but can't stop talking about him every goddamn time.

Wounded Cancers close themselves from the world, and Madara betrayed by all, is known for having spending 50 years in a cave, (allegory of a womb ?), healing his pains, awaiting to reborn again, before coming back stronger than ever. I think it was important in his character's development that he messed up Obito and killed Sasuke. It was really to show how much he renounced his protective nature towards Uchihas, he sacrificed all he was for his dream.

I witnessed real life Cancers who loose their child. It was a long and painful destructive life for themselves and people around them. And it ends up inside three coffins... Cancer's power is not just a concept floating somewhere. Give them a pinch of love they will give you back without moderation, give them a pinch of hate they will unleash Horror and Hell. So please for world's peace, don't break Cancers' heart❤️. By the way, we have a theory with @blessingoflove that Uchiha clan as a whole seems to be a cancer clan. But again story for an other time 😉.

♂ Mars : Action - Desire

♌ Leo

Mars, the red planet, represents, the archetypal Male or Yang energy : Outgoing, confident, dominant, violence, action, desire, bravery, passion, Sexe.

I've always being intrigued by mars' energy, it's all about survivor instinct, life drive, desire for expansion but as well about destruction and death in order to self preservation. This contradiction is a mysterious to me, but that's where resides its attractive appealing.

Since mars is already the planet of war. Naruto's storyline happened during wars. The Shinobi world is a military system. So to simplify, I see mars energy in character's style of fighting. Are their strong defender (earth) ? Tactician(air), intuitive (water), offensive (fire) fighter. And as well since Mars is about war and..hum...sexe...well you know what it's worth under the sheets...

Madara is Mars in Leo, there is no debate in my mind. When he fights he needs to shine, takes all the spotlights to the extend of outshining the main character. Leo is ruled by sun but Mars prospers in the creative sign of Leo. It's the Sun King, the attention-seeker, the love for drama specially if it revolved around himself. Can we have a moment of silence for Obito's plan of world war ? Madara never planned to start the 4th Shinobi war but when he saw this BIG STAGE offered to him he thought : Why not show them how amazing I am, and left them with PTSD memories they will carry to their grandchildren ? Don't invite him to your birthday he will make it about him somehow.

Leo is as well a love for praising, and our sneaky Kabuto (again) feel it immediately with his :

♃ Jupiter : Infinite Expansion – House of wisdom

♌ Leo

Known as the biggest planet of solar system, eleven time bigger that earth. Its massive gravitational mass coupled with its intense magnetic field attract other celestial bodies to itself. Jupiter is associated in astrology with magnificence, excess, spiritual teacher, higher knowledges, wisdom, road of honours .

Jupiter expands generously everything it touches. Since Madara is first notoriously known as a God of War. I thought it suits him to put more emphases on his extraordinary Leo's energy.

Jupiter and Mars in Leo empowered the expression of self in battlefield. When two planets are close to each other, it's called a conjunction. the closer the conjunction the stronger both planets mix their energy together.

That's how from the King of attention, Mars conjunct Jupiter makes him the new Sage of 6 Paths an overpowered and megalomaniac Guru. Intense desire to be admired and feared. But as well having a childish fun sparring with powerful shinobis.

☿ Mercure : Intellect – Communication

♑ Capricorn

Mercury is about your way to analyse information, explain it. It's factual and fast processing.

To be honest with you I wanted to put mercury in aquarius. But I respect Kishimoto canon Madara is born 24th of december so in the first degree of capricorn, plus mercury never goes further than 25 degrees away from the sun. My choice was then between Capricorn or Sagittarius.

Wake up to reality? hmm...

Mercury in Capricorn seems the most logical way with the choice I got. Madara is taciturn most of the time, He thinks rationally, organises carefuly his next move. His speech is quite dry, efficient without frills. His thoughts had matured for ages like an old wine, in some brilliant moment, it make any of his talk deep and thoughtful. When he deigns share it, they have a lot of multidimensional undertones, his ascetic life gave him a desperate philosophy of life who is not wrong per say but unbalanced. Life is both shadow and light, but at this moment of his existence, he can only perceive the fatalist side.

I add a mercury retrograde which further the introspective aspect and can be a comic relief in him. Madara is often misunderstood, in his intention, and even in his linguistic skills. He got as well an archaic way of speaking.

♀ Venus : Attraction – Seduction

♒Aquarius

If Moon was the woman in her Motherly side, Venus is the Woman as the Seductress, the idealistic embodiment of Beauty. Goddess of Love. It's as well the lust, a magnetic and carnal desire for pleasure who can be out of control.

It's difficult to grasp what Madara is attracted to since he never showed any romantic attraction to anyone. So I'm going to hold on two things : His desire to achieve his dream and his friendship to Hashirama.

In both, I see in common an attraction to utopia. His crazy desire to reach for the moon and obtain a unified perfect world without darkness, It sounds noble conceptually. In a same manner, what attracts him to befriend Hashirama was the same dream he thought they shared. For him to feel connected to someone else, they need to share a common vision. And in a way that's Venus in Aquarius. More attached to the concept of universal happiness. It's something very abstracted and philosophical. But in in the dark side, Aquarius is also known for his God's complex .

Madara's only hobbies knows from databook is falconry. Does he imagine some kind of freedom in the bird of prey's flight ? Something gliding high above humankind ?

« I want peace, but I also want war » can be his motto. A dream of idealistic Peace for all (Venus in Aquarius) but with the egocentric action of a tyrant (Mars/Jupiter in Leo). And I think that's sum up beautifully Madara's paradox.

♄ Saturne : Restriction – Time - Enlightenment

♐Sagittarius

Last planet that you can observe with a naked eye, associated with old age, last frontier before death. Saturn is also called the Great Maleficent, an energy usually fear but actually who gives healthy limits and teaches you resilience through hardships. When mastered Saturn is about deep mental refinement.

At first, the optimistic sign of Sagittarius and the dry Saturn seems to not being a good mix. Instead of a passionate adventurer, Saturn tone down its explosive side. Not taming it completely, but adding structure in its original wild nature. Here come the Judge, the dogmatic cleric using the fire of faith to dictate the rule. I saw this in Madara specially in his Rikudo phase when he is thrilled by his own immortality. but also in his old age while talking to Obito. He is the strict daddy teacher who doesn't let you having fun and reminds you how life is hard and how time is passing and you gonna die anyway...

Saturn accentuates conservatism in everything it touches. It puts limitations, difficulties and confronts you with your fears. In Madara's life Saturn is his limitation in his search of higher wisdom. He had been told that power can protect your family, it wasn't the case. Hashirama proposed him to collaborate to his vision of Peace, it ends up being a source of disappointment. He studied the old sources talking about shinobi's origin but find « despair » when he realised everything was the same cycle of violence back from Kaguya's time. His belief's system is always challenged. In real life, people with this tendency ends up either strongly atheist or great spiritual master, no in-between.

After feeling reject from Konoha, his own clan, and ultimately betrayed by Hashirama, he died to the material world. Escaping in research of deep introversion is closely connected to Saturn. At its finest, Saturn is the Monk who finds a mystical experience within himself. Madara reached, in a way, a bitter illumination in the depths of earth.

SHISUI'S NATAL CHART

Ok so my math skills suck but I tried my best to figure out a way to find the estimated year Shisui was born. If anyone has a better method let me know.

Kurama attacked Konoha 12 years before the start of the series (1999), and by some number crunching I’m estimating that Shisui was at least 10 by the time that happened, so 1999 - 12 - 10 = 1977. Also, general consensus is a 1-3 year margin of error for the Naruto timeline.Shisui was thus born October 19th, 1977.

(When I calculate Itachi’s age against this it doesn’t work but it is within that 1-3 year margin of error so I’m running with it)

Now the time if his birth we can never determine, and as I’ve said before the time of birth is super critical for an accurate reading. So here’s what I’ve devised to determine the hour of birth:1977 was the year of the Snake in the Chinese Zodiac, and within that system there are certain hours of the day attributed to each sign. In this case, the Snake rules over the hours of 9AM - 11 AM. And since YOU @catch-a-star-wish-from-afar and I decided Shisui was born at night…but my system disagrees…and I’m stubborn as a mule…I’m gonna go with 9 AM birth time as it’s only a little bit after sunrise lolOK ENOUGH OF MY RANT LET’S GET ON WITH THIS

NejiWeek Day 7 - Eclipse

It was a cool night. The early July heat had broken early in the day with a brief shower, a welcome reprieve after several days of sweltering humidity. It was the perfect night to lay out under the stars.

Team Gai had gathered at their training ground to watch the eclipse.

“When will it start, Gai-sensei?” asked Lee.

“Soon. You must be patient. We cannot rush nature.”

Neji watched the moon, waiting.

“Tenten!” said Gai, “Tell us all about the celestial meaning and messages for this most magical event!”

To his left, Neji heard Tenten sigh.

She was only pretending at desperation; Neji could tell. He could feel her energy vibrating and humming with excitement at the prospect of discussing the astrological aspects of the eclipse.

“Well, I’m still learning,” she admitted, “but eclipses are about change - really intense change. But some people are more sensitive to it than others. It depends on your natal chart.”

“Tenten! What does the eclipse mean for me?” asked Lee.

“Hmm. Well, Lee, this eclipse is in the sign of Capricorn, and —“

“Capricorn! That’s Gai-sensei’s sign!”

“Yes, it is.”

Neji rolled his eyes. It wasn’t that he put too much stock in the stars, but he was curious about what Tenten had to say.

“As I was saying. The last eclipse was a solar eclipse in Cancer. That was last month.”

“Last month?” Neji asked.

“I don’t remember that, Tenten,” added Lee.

“It was only visible over Suna,” said Tenten, “as I was saying, Capricorn tends to deal with matters of your career. Capricorns tend to be hard workers who are confident in their purpose and goals. Cancers tend to be very family-oriented, so, from what I’ve been reading, this eclipse will bring matters of work and family to light. Lunar eclipses also deal with conclusions, so you should look for resolution or endings instead of worrying about new situations.”

Neji frowned. Family-oriented? He was a Cancer, but… his family wasn’t exactly something he enjoyed focusing on. Tenten poked his arm, and he turned to look at her.

“Family-oriented doesn’t mean one big happy family, but it does mean your family has a large impact on your life and the decisions you make.”

Neji turned away from her and pondered his response.

“Work?!” Lee asked, “Do you think the eclipse could help with my leg?”

“It must, Lee!” Gai said.

“Then, I think I should get the surgery.”

“Wait… what?” said Tenten.

Neji looked over to Lee. Gai had sat up and was looking down at him, shining with pride and freshly shed tears.

“Lee, are you sure?” he asked, “Tsunade-sama said the chances of recovery were—“

“It doesn’t matter, Gai-sensei. Tenten said this eclipse brings about conclusions, and it is time I decided.”

“But Lee…” Tenten’s voice was quiet. “What if the conclusion is your career?”

“That’s the same conclusion if I do nothing. I want to try.”

They were quiet for a while, watching as the sun slowly slid in front of the moon. It was hard to see at first, but then the moon was no longer full.

“How long will it take, Tenten?” asked Gai.

“Maybe an hour or two?”

“And what does this even mean for my other two students?”

“Similar as with Lee, same for you too, Gai-sensei. It will bring us some family-work conclusions. Some people, like Lee, may feel it stronger than others.”

“I’ll defeat Naruto and become a chunin. It’s expected.”

They fell silent again, and Tenten rolled into his vision, leaning over him.

She whispered so that only he could hear.

“But it could also be about family.” And then she was gone from his line of sight, back watching the moon.

Neji stewed on her comment as the sun crept its way across the face of the moon. If they had been alone, he might have said something sharp and unkind - something he’d regret. They hadn’t talked much about his match against Hinata. Tenten had been angry at him, and it had stung worse than Gai’s disappointment. Hiashi had been livid too and punished him accordingly. But that was expected. Tenten wasn’t supposed to get angry at him over his family; she knew too much, was too understanding. And Neji had thought they’d moved on from this topic, but she had brought it right back into focus.

The moon was a bright white crescent now, sliding through a month’s worth of phases in just over an hour.

Neji wouldn’t have minded Tenten’s anger or the ensuing fight they’d had if she didn’t have a knack for being right about these things.

The moon was visible again, full and stained red, like a sunset.

Conclusions were in the works.

Pisces Rising: Pisces Risings are described as having a gentle demeanor and having a soothing voice. Tendou loves it after a hard day at practice when you run your fingers through his hair and whispering sweet nothings in his ears, honestly this boy is on cloud nine, like he will then literally pull you on top of him and give you some flurry of kisses just to gauge a reaction out of you (besides in his eyes it is unfair if you don’t receive any back). When he first was first crushing on you, he was so worried about approaching you because he didn’t want you to think he was a monster. He would try and look like one of those romanitc interests in K dramas because they always looked dreamy, it was quite comical to see him saying cringy lines from these shows to you whilst everyone was laughing at him you were laughing with him (if that makes sense). Semi had to have a stern talk with him on how to approach girls. Your soft appearance was the reason why he was so scared of scary you off, in his eyes you were an angel and he was the devil. However, we all know that this is not true and your soothing voice is something he never forgets when you tell him just how beautiful you think he looks, the first time you confessed this he did tear up a bit. If Pisces Rising had a motto it would be “go with the flow”, they have a very easy going nature. Tendou is a very chaotic person and needs his freedom in order to express himself fully. He loves the fact that you are up for any haywire adventure he comes up with, be it a random holiday or midnight supermarket trips, being with Tendou is an adventure and you are more than happy being on the ride. It’s extremely difficult to figure out the natal chart for fictional characters because timing and placement is everything when it comes to accurate readings. Unless said so otherwise by the creators, I can only go off of the information I gather. Plus, fictional characters are more often made in a fictional worlds as well so I would just use the origin where the creator lives (or even more specifically where the creator writes). When it comes to timing, again unless stated otherwise, it’s unknown, which can be iffy because the planets could be in the middle of a transition so there’s no way to tell exactly what they were born under without timing so, with ficitional characters, don’t take their natal charts TOO literal.
