god now i cant stop thinking about sasuke watching the nh wedding, heartbroken, and leaving the same night without telling anyone a word. and naruto feeling equally heartbroken and not knowing why when its supposed to be the happiest day of his life. and in the weeks after he just struggles harder and harder to keep the facade up and no one fucking understands him since they pushed him into this marriage and months go by and then sasuke visits because he cant help himself and they meet and sasuke becomes a homewrecker and naruto leaves his pregnant wife behind and disappears with sasuke never to return and sobvosbvoisbiosbio you know?

This is a bit of an old post of yours but I saw @/thisismisogynoir reblog it and i just wanted to say: your post about ppl being way too comfortable associating underaged characters with sexual stuff put what i've been thinking for the longest time into words. That stuff genuinely makes me SO uncomfortable yet almost no one around me understands. Its so disgusting how often underage characters are sexualized in fandom spaces and the worst part is, it starts with grown ass pedo adults doing it then it SPREADS to most of the KIDS in the fandom who then see that behavior as normal!!

It's particularly sickening for me since i come from a culture where "childhood" lasts alot longer, like 21 year olds are still considered kids and still at the age to be pampered and cared for by their parents so you can imagine my horror when I got into fandom spaces and saw people justifying making NSFW content of 16 YEAR OLDS. I once literally got called SENSITIVE in an Instagram comments section by other PJO fans for saying that it's creepy to make sex jokes about Percy and Annabeth, and they said I was overreacting bc "they're almost adults anyway, real teens have sex at this age"...... Like just because irl teens do doesnt mean you should be encouraging that and normalizing it!!

So in current canon Pjo,Percy and Annabeth are not 'almost adults',they just ARE adults as their latest apperance in the timeline has them at 18 with confirmation from Rick.Yet fans choose to make these jokes about them as minors even though that book has been out for 4 years.Much like this,Spiderman fans do sm*t of Mcu Peter and Spiderverse Gwen even though in the comics which have way more material they are adults.This also applies to Naruto,Bleach,Toh,Httyd,Atla and other media that have the protagonists start out as kids but grow up either as the story goes along or in an epilogue

If you have the option between sexualizing an adult version of character and an underaged version of the character that're both presented as equally canon and you choose the latter,you are a pedophile.Full point blank.That's the definition of pedophillia.You saw a grown up and a kid and found the kid more attractive.There's no excuse for that.There's no reason for an adult to want to see a child in sexual situations over another adult in sexual situations.You've made a disgusting choice so people have a right to call the pedo a pedo

I deleted the reblog but the casual transphobia of the Hinata fandom when speaking about Sakura's body baffles me, are you seriously willing to go to such lengths in order to defend a 2D character whose entire relevance rests upon being the stalker of the main character?

You can't call yourself feminists nor expect a feminist critique of your favorite character if you're not willing to conduct yourselves with the same levels of respect, you buffoons!

Body-shaming is never okay but, in this specific case, I don't think this is comparative to the simple idea of "body-shaming" because the comparison is not only about Sakura and/or Sarada's "masculinized" body but also to the use of the term "trans prostitute" in a pejorative manner and as a way of categorizing trans identity in conjunction with sexually exploitative work.

This is done in order to diminish the relevance of trans identities by linking them to the idea of "boys" and "masculinized body types" as opposed to the notion of "feminized body types" (as if women are standardized individuals and anything outside of that curvy body type you lot love to associate Hinata with, is somehow masculine), while at the same time tying them to sex-work, which is an archetype and a job that the trans community has not only been pushed into but also attempts to disassociate itself from.

Naruto marrying Hinata, who initially stalked him, is reminiscent of the situation with Gray and Juvia's relationship.

Both relationships show a concerning lack of awareness and consent on the part of the male characters. It perpetuates the idea that stalking, obsession, and a lack of boundaries in a relationship are romantic.

Gray and Naruto are supposed to be the main male characters, yet they're being diminished to love slaves for their toxic partners. It's a sad and disappointing portrayal of romance in both anime and manga.

In the case of both Naruto and Gray, they end up with women who are not their first choice.

It feels like a loss of agency and characterization for the male characters, as they are forced into relationships that don’t seem to align with their feelings or desires.

For Naruto, it’s Sakura and for Gray, it’s Lucy. Despite their history and growth together, the male characters end up with partners they did not truly choose themselves, leaving many fans feeling disappointed and frustrated.

I think one missed opportunity in the Naruto series is the fact that the damage Neji did to Hinata’s heart back in the Chunin Exams is never really brought up. I feel like a good chunk of NaruHina angst potential is being missed out on in that area. I can’t be the only one who thinks that.
