i would say the difference is in the fact that naruto was able to at least create a relationship with gaara, he’s at least gaara’s friend in a way and has important interactions/insights with/about gaara (like them both being jinchuuriki and all). hinata doesn’t even get that, she gets naruto’s sympathy in chunin exams because what neji says about her can be applied to what people generally feels about naruto himself, and that affects him personally. nothing ever comes out of this though, naruto and hinata do not bond or even have a relationship because of his sympathy, in the end, this situation is more about his character and his goals, not hinata as a person or a potential influence over him.

now what gaara and hinata have in common is something we are all aware of… naruto doesn’t reciprocate either! (and he also doesn’t have chemistry with either). naruto rejects gaara in front of his family because of sasuke. naruto doesn’t pay any thoughts to hinata’s confession and then says the same things she said to him but to sasuke one arc later. and both fandoms seem to direct a lot of hate towards sasuke, who can’t be the right person to naruto because he is sooo toxic, because narusasu is not wholesome, sasuke isn’t like gaara (after his 180 twist) or hinata, who can only ever worship naruto and the ground he walks on. because another thing gaara and hinata have in common is the fact that they do not challenge naruto in any way. and all of that while ignoring important points of the story and of naruto’s character, like WHY narusasu is “toxic” and how despite all that, sasuke is exactly who naruto wants, he’s the only fish in the sea.

what is ironic, and that is what pisses me off, is how narugaa shippers act like they are on a higher moral ground because narugaa is sooo wholesome uwu sanitised gays <3 as if gaara wasn’t on a killing spree for funsies, naruto being no exception. but it doesn’t matter cause gaara did a 180 twist and became a boring naruto follower, and he would honestly bore naruto in a relationship as much as hinata.

I've actually had this thought before. What if despite his different writing style, the general hate the Bleach ED got, & just how ridiculous it sounds, Gege pulled a Kubo? After all, he's a fanboy of the man (I wonder what he thinks of the Bleach ED? Is he aware of how it was received?).

I would be shocked, conflicted, & worried.

To start with, while neither ship should be compared due to how fundamentally different they are, I will say this. Despite several interactions, IH severely lacked chemistry, trust, & meaningful moments. Meanwhile, GojoHime with less on-screen interactions & a playful dynamic, have shown us a deep trust for each other & have worked together to achieve their shared goals. Despite being a minor side character, Utahime is one of the few people Gojo trusts & one of the three adults he calls by first name with no honorific. This already puts them leagues above IH, who were barely friends at best & acquaintances at worst.

So, I wouldn't want GjHm to somehow get the IH treatment in the end. I wouldn't wish that on any shipper, heck, I even feel sort of bad for the IH's, cuz despite becoming "canon" out of nowhere 7 years ago, they still. don't. have. content (especially from the author himself, who has shown no particular interest in his endgames. They don't even have a family sketch 🫢). Makes you wonder who really lost here (as IchiRuki has still gotten some content over the years post-ED...).

GjHm already gets enough hate for simply existing, despite it being a smaller ship with a smaller fanbase in the JJK fandom (the antis are threatened by the potential it has, not to mention it's the most popular JJK straight ship in Japan), so if Gege were to pull a Kubo, the hate would increase, especially towards Utahime, who of course would amass the most hate from this freakin' fandom that's obsessed with Gojo. It'd be a tough time for us fans of the ship & Utahime.

After dealing with the aftermath of the Naruto Shipping Wars as a soldier in the NaruHina army lol (don't even get me started on why NH is NOT like IH, plus we actually have content 🤪), & then witnessing the disastrous Bleach ED & the general hate it got, I do NOT wish to go thru this again. Whether you win or lose, if it isn't done properly, you'll still deal with criticism left & right... (why can't more battle shounens be like Fairy Tail when it comes to slowly developing the ships throughout the story? There'd be less drama...)

Gege keeps saying the manga will end soon, so that means if he wants to make anyone canon by the end, he'll have to start now. JJK is a battle shounen with no romance, but if despite this, GjHm are to be canon, then their moments leading up to it will have to be quality > quantity. Is there enough room/time to develop them the way we would wish? Doubt it, so we'll need at least a couple flashbacks to further justify them (and boy, we're still waiting for their flashback after Gojo's unsealing, if that ever comes...).

Basically, even if it's a few moments, they need to be impactful enough to make even the casual readers/viewers think, "I could see them ending up together." Subtlety & slow burn are usually the best fit for battle shounens, after all, &/or maybe a little further (once again, like Fairy Tail). With that said, out of all the potential ships in the series, I personally view YutaMaki as the most likely to become canon by the end; their moments, far & few in between, are enough to convince me that they could be endgame (that is, if the capricious Gege so wished 😓).

So far, we've seen nothing of what Gojo & Utahime truly think of each other. To reiterate, they have a silly dynamic but have shown to trust each other implicitly. Why this is, we can only guess. I mean, Utahime has risked her life for Gojo twice already (investigating the mole & buffing him against Sukuna). Where is this supposed "hate" she holds for him? It's stated in the databook that she hates him most of the time, so how does she feel at other times? 🤔 And Gojo, despite his teasing, has shown he cares for her, saved her, & obviously trusted her with the aforementioned important & risky tasks.

Just what is going on with these two? Is it really so impossible that there could be something more here? Whether now or later? Gege would just need to give us a little more... Though at this point, there's only so much we can hope for, considering his writing style & how things have been seemingly going... Gotta keep our expectations low...

(What if—delulu plot twist—GjHm are already together, either secretly this whole time—like some ppl have wondered, as this could further explain the immense trust in each other—or got together during the timeskip, & all we need now is the big reveal with a/some proper flashback(s) to explain it? LOL. Just a silly idea 😜).

Anyway, in general, I wouldn't want GjHm becoming canon at the cost of its beautiful potential. We'd need some more moments to justify it, or else I'd have to put back on my old "army uniform" to defend my ship if need be. So, despite how unlikely it would be, I can only hope Gege does NOT pull a Kubo (well, he's more likely to kill everyone off or something like that 🙄).

I'd rather he pulled a Sorachi (author of Gintama) & left things open-ended, keeping the fandom from turning into utter chaos...

(Maybe only that side might lose it, tho, lol. They get bothered by anything that doesn't adhere to their ship despite them being down here with us in Delulu Land, oop-).

Distinguish your thoughts about naruto shippings and who do you ship?

i’ve finally found the motivation to respond to the anonymous messages in my notifications—apologies for the delay. i’ll begin with you. i’ll just list my ships in the series numerically.

ships that i fw:

sasunaru, of course, is my on-top shit. i care about it a lot, and if it didn’t have any shippers, i'd be dead. the chemistry between them is undeniable, and they have many tropes that enhance their connection. i won’t lie—though i love the canon ships like naruhina and sasusaku (which i also enjoy), sasunaru has that special standard for me. it aligns perfectly with the romantic tropes in books and movies that i fw.

shikatema—for real, dude, who doesn’t like these two? they’re the straightest couple that makes more sense than the others who ended up together. malewife and girlboss wifey, for real.

sasusaku. i know some don’t like this, but honestly? nobody wants to hear an opinion (kidding)—i find their reasons justifiable. like, if i were sakura, i’d definitely let sasuke go off on his own. i wouldn’t chase him or cry for him—especially after he tried to kill her. i understand why he did so, and i totally get his character (i relate to him a lot). but moving on, i ship them—fucking hell. I DO.

choji and karui, 100% yes. i don’t know why they ended up together, to be honest, but yay. it’d be wholesome if we got to see a scene with them, you know? i feel like i would like their tropes a lot.

i guess the rest of the canon ships are fine, like naruhina and sai/ino. i don’t have much to say about them, but they’re okay for me.

itadei. WHY DOESN’T THIS SHIP GET ENOUGH LOVE? seriously, i’m here for it. dei’s like, “i fucking hate you, man,” but secretly he’s like, “fucking hell, why is he so damn good?” i fw with whatever trope is this. you’ve got dei throwing bombs, and itachi just calmly deflects them like, “nice try, buddy.” & in that moment, he almost reveres itachi as a god of artistry.

tobidei (at first, no, but...) honestly!!!!! I love their dynamic too, bro. their relationship is so funny and entertaining. the only thing that bothers me is their age gap

sakuino, the lacey of each other. they’re so lacy-coded, bruh—similar to Itadei, i guess? they claim to hate each other, but the difference is, sakuino don’t actually hate each other; they just make each other jealous with whatever they think the other has

Why I Believe BoruSara Won't Happen

No hate, this is just my opinion

In most anime fandom, it’s a thing for people to guess or predict who the mc will end up with, and Boruto is no exception.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, now taking on the title of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, was introduced in chapter 700 of the Naruto manga. After its introduction in the manga and the Boruto the Movie, people speculated that Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha would make a cute couple (as an ex-BoruSara shipper, I can confirm), but as the anime was undergoing, people noticed Sarada’s real personality and better people on who Boruto could end up with. There were options like the late Sumire Kakei, Eida, or even Ouga.

But that’s not about them. Now, it’s about why I believe BoruSara won’t happen.

Now, I used to be a BoruSara shipper (mostly ’cause of after the movie). I thought they’d be cute together, but after the anime began, I started to notice how stuck-up and bratty she was, resembling Sakura’s worst traits, uselessness and crybaby at the top. I saw how she belittled Boruto for not being able to keep up with her. 

Then I began thinking, “Would they really make a good couple?” 

Basically, the only reason this couple is the most popular is because of their parents, who were the main characters of Naruto, the generation before them. They had a sibling-like bond and a romantic relationship (SasuNaru, NaruSaku, SasuSaku). Now, while Naruto was still underway, most people believed that Naruto and Sakura would be end game, but Masashi Kishimoto, the writer of the Naruto manga and anime, shocked us all by having Naruto end up with the secondary girl, Hinata Hyuga. 

So, needless to say, Kishi isn’t one to put the obvious ships to happen.

However, most of the fandom disliked Sakura, so they didn’t want Naruto to end up with her, but the only people who did were NaruSaku and Sakura stans, who were loud just like Sakura, and they basically took over the fandom. But once their ship sank, they moved onto the next best thing, BoruSara. 

I’m just rambling at this point, so I’ll begin so I don’t take up most of your time. 

In Boruto the Movie, Sarada and Boruto were seen blushing over little things and wanting to protect each other, even wanting to follow paths like the others’ fathers. Boruto made a vow to protect her when she became Hokage, which Sarada began to blush furiously, making fans speculate that this couple was end game.

But are they really?

1. They have similar personalities:

The Naruto couples usually are yin and yang. Yin means quiet, emotionless, or shy, whereas yang means loud, obnoxious, and easily angered. Now, you could tell that at the very beginning, Boruto was easily ruled as yang, just like his father. He loved to pull pranks and try to get his dad’s attention in the worst of ways. He was always loud, but a loyal friend. Now Sarada, she was not as fast, but was also ruled as yang eventually. She was not as loud as Boruto, but still loud. She’d get riled up whenever Boruto was near, and was mostly always shouting. 

For example, Naruto was yang, Hinata was yin. Sai was yin, Ino was yang. Sasuke was yin, Sakura was yang. 

You see where I’m going with this?

They are many scenes of them fighting.

You don’t see any other canon Naruto/Boruto fighting like this, now, do you? But most people are probably going to say it’s unique and that’s why it’s going to happen. Most people say that BoruSumi is the next NaruHina, but there’s no new NaruHina, no new Naruto and no new Hinata.

2. Blushes:

Sarada has seen to blush multipule times at Boruto, and vice versa. This could be a key point as to BoruSara being end game, or it could be ship bait for another one.

Now, these show that BoruSara just might happen. But then again, NaruSaku reached this level of extreme and look what happened. But I won’t write off these blushes, but Boruto only blushed around her because she got to close, which is normal. Now, Sarada only blushed around him because he vowed to protect her, so it was probably out of embarrassment or gratefulness, doesn’t mean she fell in love with him (btw, am I the only one that thinks she looks ugly when she blushes?). Boruto has been seen blushing around Mitsuki a few times, but that’s because Mitsuki claimed him as his sun and got close.

3. Touch:

Sarada has gotten intimate when touching Boruto (not too much though). And has just touched him when he didn’t want it.

Now, in the second pic (I couldn’t find the English ver.), Boruto did say, “Watch the hands!”, implying that he didn’t like being touched by her. In the second pic, he has shown to make a disgusted face when she placed only a few fingers on his shoulder, not even a full hand.

4. Denied feelings:

Now, Sarada has not shown any romantic feelings towards Boruto, and vice versa. In fact, Sumire Kakei confessed her feelings towards Boruto and Sarada didn’t seem to mind much. 

Sarada even confessed that it doesn’t bother her if other girls like Boruto. Mitsuki has also asked Sarada the same question, assuming she did.

Here, she seemed annoyed at Mitsuki for asking (assuming). Now, Eida, too, asked Sarada the same question the other two did.

Here, Eida assumed that Sarada liked Boruto because they were on the same team and were close. She wanted to know if Sarada could be a potential threat to her and Kawaki’s relationship. Sarada seemed annoyed, but she was also blushing. Now, this blush did not mean her feelings were revealed. It could’ve meant that she had to practice to pretend to be Eida’s captive, because we see Sumire blush, too.

Sumire did blush when asking about why Eida liked Kawaki, but that’s not because she liked Kawaki. She was embarrassed and shy at that moment, knowing she was immune. Sarada could’ve been the same why because we see both girls blushing during the whole conversation.

5. Same team:

People may think this is a winning factor to BoruSara, but in reality, it’s not. Boruto and Sarada are on the same team, only because it’s natural for an Uchiha and Uzumaki to be on the same team. People believe that it’s canon because it somehow resembles SasuSaku (Boruto being Sasuke, Sarada being Sakura). But Kishi hates same team ships. SasuSaku was the only one to become canon, and look how that turned out; a man who left to go get milk and never came back, a obsessive stalker, and a crybaby child. From what Kishi has stated in interviews, SasuSaku is almost close to getting a divorce, and that Sarada is the only thing keeping the ship still going.

If BoruSara became canon and they have a child, the child would be miserable. If Sarada becomes Hokage and Boruto becomes Shadow Hokage, they won’t be around much and the kid would practically raise itself and Kishi cares too much for Boruto to do that to him.

6. Boruto’s eye and Sarada’s MS:

People believe this is also a winning factor to the BoruSara ship, but it’s not. In fact, it’s another con.

Boruto lost his eye to protect Sarada, who was too dumb to activate her Sharingan when Kawaki was walking towards them. Her knees were about to give way and you could tell she was scared, yet she never activated her Sharingan, meaning Boruto had to lose an eye because of her.

7. “He’s like a brother to me”:

A major red flag of BoruSara would be that Sarada confessed that Boruto was like a brother to her.

This means that the ship is basically incest at this point. And to top it off, Naruto and Sasuke are the reincarnations of Asura and Indra, two brothers, so their clans are close, meaning they are distant relatives.

Now, I’m not saying that BoruSara isn’t going to happen. Who knows, maybe Kishi will break everything that’s happened and make them canon, but it’s highly unlikely, especially after Sarada claiming his like a brother. 

But to each their own. We all have our own opinions on ships and our own ships that we like. We can’t force each other to like one ship and hate the other, it’s our own choice. Whether or not you want to ship BoruSara, that’s fine. But these are straight evidence that they’re more like siblings (including the hair styles in Two Blue Vortex).

After all, they’re not the new NaruSaku, SasuSaku, or NaruHina. They’re the new SasuNaru. But if they do become canon, some SasuNaru fans are probably going to say that if Sasuke or Naruto was a girl, then they would’ve been canon. 

But anyway, it’s okay if you like this ship or if you don’t, it doesn’t matter. We all have our own choices.

1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care anymore?

There are so many that I tought would be forever, specially from my childhood shows. Still they give me the nostalgia tingle, so its not indifference. But maybe some like Katara and Aang? Like them but dont much care. Oh, and Hinata and Naruto I dislike now, after the ignored confession I just lost all interest.

Akafuri, I have it so bad for them. And it was extremely funny when they stopped being a crack ship. Also spideypool? When I started Shipping them they also didn't have anything on them, it was just funny the two together, so it's crazy that they have comics together.

Probably zosan, sterek and drarry? Zosan was in portuguese, sterek when I started reading in English and the Harry Potter fandom just has so many...

I think I have a lot of enemies/rivals ships? Or that usually have some kind of banter going on.

First, when they are boring. Second, I hate ships where one side (A) is completely obsessed with the other (B). Specially when B does not show any interest in person A and seem clueless. I can watch romance story with these plot, but I feel like in other genres they always mess the execution up and I never feel B truly has deep feelings, just that A is convenient (thats why I don't like ships such as naruhina, gruvia, stydia, Hancock x Luffy...). Just not my cup of tea.

Never read naruhina fics written by mainly ss, sss, ns, bsa or multi skr shippers as they always degrade hinata characterisation and made suckura boost up with every chance they get by writing her as new person. Even they change plot and increase her power levels to made her haters love her which honestly is disgusting as a personal nh fan who is tryin to enjoy my fav naruto ship nh have to witness cringe sakura action and plot as it revolves around her.🤮

It's like you can't even enjoy a nh fanfics in peace as you have to read ugly forehead in them.🤦‍♀️

Yeah I hate it when NaruHina fics end up focusing on Sakura rather then the actual main couple the fic is supposed to be about. I rarely come across them though since most NaruHina fans hate Sakura and usually write her true to canon.

And because you can tag ALL THE THINGS in Ao3 without being able to specify who the main character or main pairing is, the signal to noise ratio is again enormous.My non-romantic OTP for this character: I have nothing against NaruSaku as a romantic ship but I just looooove them as friends so much. LOOOOVE them. Like I am down for about 1000% more depictions of heterosexually attracted men and women being extremely close friends in media. Basically my problems with the canon ending have almost nothing to do with who’s getting down to sexy town.

I like NaruHina because I think Naruto and Hinata have compatible personalities, are aesthetically gorgeous together, have the capacity for deep mutual understanding, and the potential for real growth and for forming a beautiful family together. I am also weak for the notion that MinaKushi, while well-meaning, missed in their recommendations to “find a girl like your mother” that Naruto really needed to find someone like Minato, not like Kushina. Hinata isn’t nearly on Minato’s level in Shippuden in terms of being basically the perfect human being, but I headcanon that, unusually for the Naruto world, Minato had… now stop me if this is unrealistic… supportive, stable, loving, validating parents. Hinata, with Repression McDouche for a dad, growing up in the Hyuuga, was raised in possibly the worst environment for someone of her temperament. Naruto also isn’t exactly Kushina but they’re a lot closer because Kushina underwent some similar experiences of loss, exclusion, etc. I do think that in Shippuden NaruHina was on the right path.

As far as ships depicted in the canon ending go, I don’t think NaruHina is depicted as all that dysfunctional tbh. Basically if I had to rate the ship solely based on how it’s depicted in canon post-699 I’d probably still give it a 7/10. I don’t like the “strangled by the red string” aspects of The Last, the retconning of Naruto’s feelings for Sakura (you can, in fact, have genuine attraction to more than one person, even at the same time, scandalous!) and the whole plot with the “alien kidnaps ur gurl” and “do not destroy the moon” aspects were silly. I don’t like how canon emphasizes the domestic side of all the female characters in 700, but I think becoming a homemaker is 100% a valid choice and in the case of Hinata, even a potentially rebellious one. Stay with me for a second, I’m acknowledging that the canon ending doesn’t have a rebellious bone in its mouldering corpse, but think of how Hinata was raised, the expectations she was smothered with and how she was constantly told that not being a good ninja meant she was worthless, and imagine her, as an adult, saying to her father and the main house, “You know, I am not interested in being a Hyuuga as you define it. In fact, now that the world is basically peaceful, I am not interested in being a ninja at all. I’m getting married and I’m going to have a baby and stay home with the baby. I’m going to scrub the toilet, I’m going to cook dinner, I’m going to rake leaves, I’m going to vacuum–all those servile tasks that you force the branch house to do for you. I’m going to knit. Do you know I really, really enjoy knitting? I made this sweater and I feel very proud of it and I like it and I like the way I look in it. See you never.”

My OT3: I don’t really have OT3 ships but I’ve seen some enjoyable NaruSakuSasu. Certainly as a BroT3 they have massive potential that’s massively missed in canon. Dark anime, show me the universe where Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura have a scene where they are all adults and spend time together with each one happy to be with both of the others.

I hate how they try to make Boruto and Kawaki’s bond similar to Naruto and Sasuke. Their bond is not even the same. I also hate how Boruto tries to copy other ships from Naruto e.g. Boruto and Sarada/Narusasu or Narusaku, Boruto and Sumire/ Naruto and Hinata, Kawaki and Sarada/Sasusaku etc. Boruto is just the bad copy of Naruto. They are not even original.

But what to expect from a series that is not even written by the original author. They can say that Kishi works on it but it is bullshit. Reading Boruto you cannot find Kishi's style of storytelling and writing. He may approve things but that's all. He probably doesn't even read this manga. He is the person that contradicts himself many times in interviews so I don't believe that he works on Boruto. Studio does this copying because they want to satisfy shippers and cover some things. Boruto and Kwaki's bond is not like Sasuke and Naruto’s but they try to portray it in this friendly-brotherly way because they want to cover Sasuke and Naruto's relationship that has romantic undertones (luckily they do it really badly). They just do it in favor of canon ships to make them more valid and believe me NH and SS need this because they don't have any good content. They copy dynamic from other Naruto ships to make certain shippers happy and also they can't come up with sth better. Borusara doesn't even look like Narusasu, it more resembles Narusaku. Boruto is similar to Naruto and Sarada wants to rule him similarly like Sakura. Also I don't really like Sarada's behaviour towards Boruto like for example grab him by the collar. It is totally Sakura's behaviour. Borusumi is really boring and exactly the same like Naruhina. Boruto doesn't see her as romantic interest but she has a crush on him. Kawasara is not as bad as Sasusaku but Kawaki can tell not nice things to Sarada and Sarada is the same. People just ship them because he is their dream bad boy like Sasuke and Sarada is Sakura's child. Copy after copy. Boruto is just old fashioned. Naruto has also some old fashioned elements for example everyone is happy at the end even enemies, everyone's dreams become true at the end, there is always this hot guy that main girl ends up with, the main hero is stalked by some girl who will later be his wife. It is predictable but it was sth normal in the 2000s. Boruto shouldn't do that because we have different times and these predictable things are going out of fashion. This is also the reason why Boruto is not even that popular. It so much predictable that I can even bet that Boruto will end up with Sarada, everyone will be happy at the end and their dreams will come ture and Kawaki will come back from the darkness. Shonen in my opinion is old fashioned only Kishi was the first one who expanded on such beautiful themes like love, friendship, sacrifice etc. Boruto as you said is just a bad copy that is not even original and was created to make more money from shippers’ pockets.

Naruhina: -∞/10. would also not recommend. gives the 'imma sacrifice myself so you can accept my love. im basically guilt-tripping you' vibe. cause thats literally what happened.

Shikatema: 7/10. Cute but don't ship. the shippers are chill as hell. we stan respect.

Minakushi: 10/10. yes. just yes❤️.

Inosai: 8/10. I ship. most healthy out of all of the canon relationships. right next to shikatema.

Hashimada: 10/10. Yes. would definitely recommend. ❤️❤️❤️

Borusara: -9/10. No.

Mitsuboru: 10/10. Would probably happen if they allowed same-sex relationships, lets just be honest here. So fluffy and yes.

Koteizu: ∞/10. something i didn't think i needed until now.

Obikaka: 9/10. childhood friends to lovers is the cutest trope I've ever read. gives the 'imma act like i hate you but i actually would die for you so lets fight' vibes. im here for that.

Kakairu: 6/10. Used to ship but not anymore. gives the 'best friends who are also have children' vibe.

Kakagai: 9.5/10. I'm stuck between this and Obikaka. Both are adorable. both gai and obito knew kakashi since childhood. help, my multishipper heart is melting.

Kibahina: 5/10. Meh. kiba probably had a crush on her.

What is it that you hate about the Fourth Shinobi War arc?

Look, we're gonna put aside my ships for now because despite what a lot of people may think, me being a NaruSaku shipper actually has very little to do with my opinions on the majority of canon.

So just so we're all clear? This has nothing to do with me being a NaruSaku shipper. I could be a NaruHina shipper and this shit would still piss me the fuck off.

I despise the end of Naruto, and including the war, because it is more of the worst parts of Kishimoto's storytelling.

We are introduced to dozens and dozens of new characters, who we will never get enough info on, and with more time taken away from our existing characters who could really have done with more growth.

Neji's death is fucking stupid. No, shut up, it is pathetically bad writing. Naruto moves so fast he can keep up with a god, fucking behave.

The idea of destiny and fate being a fucking crock is dropped to the point that Naruto 'i would laugh in the face of god' Uzumaki buys it wholesale. No, fucking ridiculous, and coming from absolutely nowhere.

Chosen one prophecies are annoying and really, really boring at this point. Tell me you aren't sick to the back teeth of them.

And it leads to all the fucking space alien bullshit, just oh my God, why shouldn't I hate this fucking ridiculous bullshit? Seriously, why? It's not well written, it's not particularly interesting and despite it having one of my favourite scenes in it ... you know, where Sakura punches a goddess ... this whole arc is the core reason I would rip Shippuuden out at the root and start again.

There are probably many many more reasons I hate that arc, but they're literally too numerous to name.

Initially, I thought that only NaruSaku shippers (I like them as a brOTP) ship SasuKarin, but no. Even some of these NaruHina (I like them too) shippers who hate Sakura ship them as well. They mostly ship Sasuke and Karin just because they hate Sakura and just give reasons to ship which don't have any basis.

Trust me when I say this, Most SasuSaku Antis that I have interacted with(mostly in YouTube and Twitter), were NaruHina Shippers, who hated Sakura.

But, in Tumblr,I was actually surprised to see that there are a lot of NaruHina shippers who actually like SasuSaku too.

Honestly, I don't see any logic in NH fans to become Anti-SS and ship SK, just because they hate Sakura, because they need to understand that SS was required for NH to happen.

Even though I am a hardcore SasuSaku shipper and I would hate it if NaruSaku became canon, I won't deny that, if SasuSaku didn't happen, then Kishi would have most probably made Sakura end up with Naruto, since she is the main heroine of the series.

And also because,the only two ships(canon/non-canon) on which Kishi focused on a lot and which got a huge load of screen time was SasuSaku(Canon) and NaruSaku(non-Canon).

So, if Kishi didn't want SS to happen(WHICH HE DID), he would have gone for NS.

P.S. I am not a NaruSaku shipper, I am just stating facts.

I only ship SasuSaku in Naruto, but after the ending, I tried to look to other shipping fans to see other opinions. I found a few nice people, who just really ship their fanon ships in peace.

What makes the Naruto fandom so toxic till this day, are the antis of other ships who still believe, that Kishi wrote the manga wrong in the end, and only them are truly capable of seeing the "true ending". These people bash characters, ships, fans of those characters and ships and bash Kishi too. Sadly I have the feeling the most of their hate is towards SasuSaku and Sakura (and Sasuke sometimes too). I think NH is mostly left out by the antis or maybe I just don't see it, because I don't ship NH and so I am only focused on SasuSaku.

And I know, that here are toxic SasuSaku shippers too. I don't want to claim, that the SasuSaku fandom is full of innocent little angels. I know we have bad apples just like EVERY fandom.

Sasuke and Sakura already get a lot of hate individually, Sakura even more than Sasuke, so sadly it comes as no surprise that SasuSaku is one the, if not the most hated ship of the series. I guess this is almost natural because it's also the only canon ship that includes two main characters. Compared to NaruHina, with Hinata as a side character having much less screentime than Sakura, they simply get more attention. And with a lot of attention comes a lot of hate.

As main characters they also had more character development than other characters, which means we know their personalities in depth. This includes flaws and issues as well, and especially Sasuke has a lot of them. Combine that with his cold and unbothered attitude and a certain amount of people is bound to dislike him. And then there's Sakura, the heroine and most developed female character in the series, who is a caring and kind person and therefore should be very likeable, but her flaws have been exposed in episode 1 and so she has amassed an unbelievable amount of haters who refuse to see her growth (maybe because she's cockblocking their own OTP, who knows).

Now the two of them together, oh boy. Kishi has made it very clear they love each other and are happy together, but they aren't the "sunshine family" (which has its own problems that no one talks about). They have issues, and those issues are used as plot fuel like no other. Kishi has said himself that he just can't let them be happy, there always needs to be something up with the Uchihas. And they sell. Because while they're probably the most hated ship, they also do have tons of fans who love them. And even those who dislike the ship keep the attention up.

I gave up trying to understand why all of this must always lead to such toxic behavior of some antis. Why can't they all be like the nice people you mentioned who just enjoy their fanon ships in peace.

Last but not least you're absolutely right, there are bad apples in every fandom and the SasuSaku fandom is no exception. There are those who just defend themselves from antis, but also those who actively look for trouble. It's frustrating that this behavior of a few often reflects on the whole fandom, but well, that can also be said for every other fandom.

I wanna rant about my thoughts on Naruto ending, naruhina and sasusaku

Ending

I hate it. All i wanted to see was

Naruto becoming hokage

Uchiha clan getting justice

Hyuuga clan changing

Ambiguous ending

What I got was disaster relationships. They say they love each other. But all I see is dysfunctional families. To be honest Naruto since The Last is very OOC for me. They made Naruto a bad father. I never thought I'd see that. Then as the hokage. He has too much work even with his shadow clones and this is after achieving peace. Also we all saw the other hokages. We have seen the third wandering. They forth doing house work. Fifth just drinking. Which was when problems existed between the shinobi villages. And they don't even use shadow clones. And as Hakage Naruto didn't change the hyuuga clan system nor did the uchihas got justice. What happened to the promise he made to Neji. Naruto was not supposed to go back on his words. So where does the workload come from?

Naruhina

At first I liked Naruhina. It was all ruined by Naruto Last. The last made hinata look pathetic. It was an insult to her as kunoochi. At the beginning I thought she would eventually come out of her shy self and become a badass after seeing the chunnin exam. But in shippuden she was just all N-Naruto-kun. It gets even worse in The Last movie. They made it look like Naruto never loved Sakura, it was just his rivalry with Sasuke, he doesn't know about love, and he always loved hinata. Even though I am not Narusaku shipper I think Naruto loved Sakura truly. He would do anything for her. And if it was just about Sasuke and his rivalry then why Sakura? Every girl in village had a crush on Sasuke. Then don't say he didn't know what's love. He knew Sakura's confession was fake. If he doesn't know what love is how was he able to see through a fake confession. And I don't think Naruto even noticed hinata to be in love with her since the beginning. He never payed her attention. And even as a Narusasu shipper I would say Narusaku would have made more sense if sakura was able to see past sasuke who clearly didn't loved her. Naruhina could have been done better. They deserved better development and story line.and Naruto's confession looked like guilt pressured. And neji didn't have to die for the sake of ship. Neji was a great character.

Sasusaku

Sasusaku always felt one sided for me. Sasuke never showed any interest. It was pretty much obssession at sakura's part. What did sasuke do for Sakura that she fell in love with him. Even she admitted she only saw the cool sasuke before he left. So he was never the person she fell in love with. She was even ready to abandon her family and village for him. Why? She said she would be alone like him if he left. How was losing his clan to the one he loved and adored could be the same as losing her crush. What did a thirteen year old girl knew about love. Sakura matured as a character. But when it comes to sasuke she is pretty much the same thirteen year old girl. And sasuke was absent almost 12 year after marriage. Not even a letter. And Sakura herself said that their date only last two and a half minute. The lack of interest from sasuke's part is always visible. And I don't think Sasuke was ready for a family so fast. Even their child questions their marriage. So it is clear that how much of a disaster the family is.

I don't hate any sasuke, Naruto, hinata Or Sakura . I just believe they deserve better. I actually like all of them. I want the female cast to have more personality than their crush. Sakura and hinata was all about their crush. They become strong for them. Not for their self or village. I wanted them to have more reason for their existence.
