What do you think about subtype theory?

I think its an oversimplified version of the instinctual variants. Its alright if you're just getting into it and check it out because its an introduction to the instincts, but other than that its pretty bad in my opinion.

There's so many sx subtype descriptions that just describe sx-overfocus (when an sx-blind-> spso/sosp, gets unhealthy and becomes obsessed with their blindspot) instead of actual sx. Naranjo is very obviously sx-blind and his own delusion around being sx-dom led him to making descriptions that essentially mistype everyone.

That's a matter of perspective though. You can be sx5 in naranjo and an spso5 in instinctual variants simply because of the way its presented. I don't conflate the 2 usually, but in theory and application subtype is inferior and simplified to me.

I am noticing how 1-dimensional the advice that Naranjo gives is in comparison to Ichazo

Naranjo is keen on giving very simple bullet point like guidance to curing your neurosis , whilst Ichazo elaborates on how the process to cure the neurosis is more complicated than it seems, leading on to more issues and difficulties to tackle on it's journey that the individual has to face
