Finished NaNoWriMo!
It’s my first year doing NaNoWriMo, and I’m busy with school and stuff, so my goal was only 10k words, but I reached it!
Since I finished early, I’m aiming for 11,000 by the end of the month and to write everyday.
If anyone wants to be buddies as we finish this novel writing month, my username is WriteKS.

And that's a wrap. My original goal was 500 words a day/15k words over the month. I realized I could double the count halfway through the month. The real challenge was writing every day - and I did it. Yes, I failed to update my word count on November 6, but I did post here on Tumblr and Facebook the amount of words I wrote that day: 265. So I did actually write every single day. I've kept up a running commentary of the things I learned over this month so I won't bore you with them again. I just want to say that I feel successful and accomplished and inspired for the first time in a long time, and I have people on Tumblr to thank for that.
@sillybeagle @ageless-aislynn @thethistlegirl @queenofthehobos @jenksel @nade2308
I don't know what's coming next. This is the first time I've stuck to a goal of writing every day no matter what it was. This month taught me that there is still a writer in here, and I hope to ride that belief for years to come.
Thank you all and congratulations to all of the Wrimos who made their goals!
If you did not, never fear! Not making the goal does not mean you failed! In my case, I was setting the bar too high for myself. I set the bar lower and wound up doubling it and proving to myself that I'm still here. If the goal seems too much or too high - bring it down a couple of notches. You will get there.
Edit: I really didn't mean for this post to sound as self-important as it does. Please believe me when I say I'm not trying to brag or stick my nose in the air. I'm just musing over everything that happened this month. ❤️

2009 European Grand Prix - Rubens Barrichello(ft. Lewis Hamilton & Kimi Räikönnen)
#when i was doing 2005 i think i was more eager abt gifing every race#and not that i dont like doing it now but its just mentally harder now bcs im in a season where all my favs are the top of the field#so whenever they dont win i feel so 😐 abt the podium hahaha im like that monkey meme: 'where [jense/seb/mark/nano]'#but i will say everyone was so happy for Rubens in this race and it made me very 🥹🥹🥹#like literally every team was out in the pitlane cheering for him!! it was so cute!!!! i love when everyones happy for the winner#he kissed the camera but as i said in my txt he is too dad for me to gif that skdjdk#little bit of season commentary...#if we ignore rbr in 2023. 2023 and 2009 are pretty similar to me???#like amr being very brawn with how they come out of nowhere and start off strong and then falter in the middle of the season#mclaren and ferrari being bad at the start of the season and then climbing back up#but 2009 is soooo much more balanced and competitive!! its so fun!!#anyways i like valencia. isnt jeddah basically the modern version of this track? a street circuit with a billion corners#ive forgotten to put my little counter on which race im on but hey im over the halfway point for 2009! somehow has taken me longer than 200#rubens barrichello#lewis hamilton#kimi raikkonen#kimi räikkönen#2009 european gp#f1#formula 1#formula one#we do a little bit of f1#season: 2009

NaNoWriMo is officially over, but I'm not done!
In the month of November, I managed to write 102,179 words for Purely Symbiotic. This is 204.36% of the 50K goal NaNo sets out!
I'm so proud of this progress. It looks like that November 20th and 21st were my biggest writing days. 16,685 words over two days!
I also hit all of those writing badges which was very satisfying to do. Updating 1,667 words a day is not easy when you work better in spurts instead of consistency.
The personal achievement badges were fun too. Fun fact, I cried twice over my novel, and they both consisted of gender moments!
So.......... what now?
We still are aiming for 240K words and 80 chapters, dividing into three 80K, 20 chapter parts. Right now, I'm in the depths of part 2. I've also started a new goal on the NaNoWriMo website.
The novel will *tentatively* be done by the end of January. If it takes me about 1 month to write 100K words, then it will be done sometime in mid-January. To avoid burnout and to give some leniency for myself, I just rounded up to January 31st. From there, February will be all reviewing and editing, and then finally.... FINALLY we will be posting to A03!
Why not post part 1 now?
The answer is that I'm a perfectionist, and I love foreshadowing. Just recently I found a quite big plot hole in the middle of writing part 2 and had to go back and fix some sections in part 1. I would not have been able to do this if part 1 was already uploaded. I can't imagine this not happening when I reach part 3, ESPECIALLY since I'm at the point where I no longer have a draft to reference because I'm so far into the story. Additionally, there are some heavy editing and proofreading needed. I might post snippets to gauge interest and get people excited for the drop date once we get closer to the end. I've even been thinking about making a video trailer too because... why not? It be fun. :)

NaNoWriMo 2023 Day 30: Herald At Dawn
***I'm doing half a nano (25k not 50k) cause I have too much other shit to do (school)***
Today's Word Count/Today's Goal Word Count: 629/625
Total Word Count: 25,004/25k
Goal Word Count: 25k
Snippet:
In his traditional fashion, Leo was sitting crossed legged on top of his desk. Alex was on a chair, elbow leaning on the desk next to her. James was across the semicircle from her, in the middle of what one would call the flat part if it was drawn out onto paper, where everyone could see him. It was, all in all, a fairly casual meeting. “Alright, folks,” he said, gathering the attention of everybody in the room. “We all know about the murders, yes?” Murmurs of assent came from the assembled flock of journalists.
Notes: ''assembled flock of journalists'' is a contender for my favorite sentence in this whole story, i think. also. it's done. well, no, its not, there is a hell of a lot of plot left to go, but you know. the goal is done. I did it. now imma go and finish my history project. see you in a couple days for a wrap up/whats next post (also, new writeblr intro coming soon, hopefully by christmas).
Taglist (ask to be +/-): @thelaughingstag @gr3y-heron @another-white-void @amethyst-aster

Guess what I just finished!
Over 25k words! It's been difficult to write until this past month or so, and it feels so good to get back into it. Tracking my word count really made me feel good.

Just can’t believe November is over 😮💨 Didn’t get the daily par badge this year, but did manage writing something every day. The story isn’t even finished, we will see if I keep at it in December or forget about it until the new year 🥴
