Some info about Seven Deadly Sins in land of the Lustrous AU✨

✧ I gave them more magical abilities to make them fit nnt canon. Meliodas here replaces Phos and moves plot forward.

✧ Diana's name is Smoky Quartz, but she is called Rauch for short, from Rauchtopaz.

✧ I have divided gems into generations to indicate the difference in age, since all gems have a very long lifespan.

So eventually, I’d like to do an AU fanfic in which the Nanatsu no Taizai were actually the baddies who tried to take over the kingdom (and succeeded). It probably won’t happen for a while, but in the meantime, I wanted to do a thing where I match a theme song to each Evil!Nanatsu no Taizai for funsies and inspiration:

so in honour of melban week here are some more au idea/blurbs, which is just a few I will be writing this week:

1. Theatre kid meliodas and tech kid Ban.-While putting on Mama Mia for a school play, Meliodas is asked to help the tech kids work on a confetti canon. While helping he bonds with the social outcast in the club Ban and develops a bit of a crush. The same goes for Ban. From here every rehearsal Ban has to be at, he sneaks food to meliodas and Meliodas helps him with his homework. It's sweet to watch and a few kids start to route for them. Like others to the point that when they start doing the show in front of people, Ban takes meliodas wherever he wants to celebrate their hard work. It eventually comes to a head when during the last showing or 2nd to last showing Meliodas gets hurt when a light falls down knocking him out. After that he's rushed to the hospital and Ban is left worrying until he can have visitors. When Ban gets in to see Mel, he just confessed how he feels scared he'll lose him somehow. From there Meliodas reciprocates them and the two start dating making everyone in the cast elated.

2.Trans meliodas AU- in this Au meliodas gets dumped over his gender identity when he first comes out so he swears off of dating for a long time, to scared to let anyone in again. That is until his best Friend Diane sets him up on a date with a coworker. Said coworker is nice and sweet as they go to a bar. Heck they even start getting along like old friends would. Then she finds out he's both trans and pan sexual. And let's just say it doesn't end well. She goes to the bathroom and never comes back, leaving meliodas with a bill they are supposed to split. He's to mortified to adinit what has happened so he just sits there waiting hopefully for a while. Then upon realizing what's happened and going to leave runs into his own coworker Merlin, who begs to meet Mel's date. He is absolutely mortified and is about to admit what happened before his server Ban sits down, having just finished his shift to keep him from embarrassment. From there he splits the bill with Meliodas, and upon finding out his date was his ride home, drives him home. Along the way Ban gives Meliodas his number to chat if he wants. From here meliodas finds himself texting Ban every day, at first just thanking him and discussing how embarrassed he was. Then slowly it evolves into normal conversation until they end up flirting over text. Then a year after that whole event, Ban asks meliodas out who before even saying yes tells him what chased off the last two people he went out with. To which Ban just repeats his question stating it doesn't change him. From here the two have a happy relationship.

3. Convention au-that's just the whole au idea lol. Ban takes his little sister to a convention he's been dying to go to. Once there he finds and befriends a cute cosplayer. They spend the day going to the same booths, talking, taking pictures together and eventually just chilling out. Once the convention is over they make a plan for a date a few days later and stay as happy as can be.

4. Magical boy au- meliodas is a magical boy. That’s it. That’s the whole au. He, King, Elizabeth, Diane, Merlin and the rest of their friends are magical people who fight the forces of evil over night. Ban fills the position of a love interest of Meliodas while the villain role is filled by Mael.

Reborn Fairy AU(SDS-RBF-215*) Character Overview: Maranwe

💖Maranwe✨ - Bard to Fairy King Harlequin. Partner of Fairy Knight Helbram. Mother to Tilly and Rowan. Maranwe is introspective, curious, stubborn and prone to laughter, even when things aren't really funny. As Fairy Bards always are, Maranwe is consistently anxious, she's also burdened with a lot of trauma, having to carry the memories of every tragic event that's occurred in the history of the Fairy Clan in flawless detail.

On many occasions she's proven to be extremely stubborn, even openly refusing to take orders she doesn't agree with even from the Fairy King. She's strong willed and persistent, but wears her heart on her sleeve. She cries easily and tends to take perceived slights to heart. Though she's slow to anger on her own account, tending to assume she deserves whatever is done to her, she'll immediately and viciously jump to the defense of those she cares about. She'll hold grudges against anyone who has harmed or disrespected her loved ones. That being said, her anger seems to cool a little quicker then other Fairies, as she loathes the feeling of being angry and is more interested in understanding others, than in blind obstinance.

She's empathetic and likely to give someone more chances than she probably should. She's also very faithful, often to her own annoyance, as despite her mistrust of humans and bleak outlook on humanity as a whole, she's constantly searching for ways for the two clans to coexist in peace. Her loyalty, once earned, is near absolute and once you've had it it's fairly easy to win back if broken.

The most negative parts of her personality are mostly directed at herself. She can be very self-deprecating and tends to feel like the love she gets from others is ingenuine, highly conditional or temporary and blames herself for these factors. Everyone's too kind to tell her how annoying she is, or she simple hasn't pushed their limit yet. She truly feels that everyone will get sick of her eventually, no matter what she does, and so can accidently self-sabotage.

After she and her friends were captured by humans and Maranwe was sold while her friends were killed, her quiet mistrust of humanity turned to full-blown misanthropy. Along with disdain for humans her disposition became a little more serious as the bravery she showed prompted her wings to sprout.

✨ Maranwe is a reincarnated soul from another universe. This gives her some degree of foreknowledge about humanity's future, or at least what she assume humanity will accomplish based on what she experienced in her previous life. This adds to her anxiety substantially as she works to try and change this outcome.

✨ Like all Fairy Bards she has a perfect memory.

✨ Though Fairy Bards are proficient at all art forms, Maranwe is primarily known for her lyre playing. Though her favorite is actually drawing.

✨ She's known as "Scardy Cat" by other fairies as everything seems to make her nervous.

✨ Her magical ability is "Starlight" which allows her to generate and manipulate glittering silver light. This can be used offensively, but it's primary function is to project images. She can project memories as a recording of events or create images of her own to tell stories. She also has the ability "Unique Perception" which lets her feel other people's emotions with the technique "Empathy", perceive souls and other life energies with "Soul Recognition" and see the threads that connect the fates of others, and the paths other people walk with the technique "Fate Sight".

✨ Maranwe smells like Strawberry

(Note: Flower/Plant symbolism Scent: Strawberry - Love, purity, healing, ephemerality, reciprocity, hope and renewal [*] . Visual: Moonflower - A flower of duality, meaning either love or mortality [1]. Affection [2]. Mystery, and Devotion [3]) Violets - Watchfulness, Loyalty, Faithfulness [1]. Faithfulness, Modesty, Watchfulness, "I'll always be true", "Let's take a chance" [2]. Innocence, Modesty, True everlasting love, Faith, Spirituality, Mysticism and Remembrance [3].

Authors Note: There is more than one flower called "Moonflower", the one referenced above is Ipomoea alba, which is actually a kind of Morning Glory. Therefore any symbolism attributed to Morning Glories applies to Moonflowers as well. Though Moonflowers do have some unique symbolism of their own thanks to their unusual behavior.

The citations for the strawberry symbolism is unusual because the sources are either wide-spread or too vague to really link to. It was an enormous headache trying to find what I was looking for while sifting through the repeated history of the plant's "discoveries" and cultivations, and vague anecdotal tones of the pages' authors whenever symbolism did manage to pop up. Why do I not, then, just choose a different scent? ... That is complicated...

Remember that I’m trying to adapt greek mythology with nanatsu no taizai characters, so it’s not going to be: “hey guys this character’s Apollo!” Nono, they’ll may parallel the characters from the original source material but I want to make them characters of their own and preserve some of their essence they have in the anime:)

Also i’m mixing the original odyssey with my own ideas with epic (mostly epic cause I can’t stop listening to it on repeat hahahaha)
