October 4 (Thursday)
The morning sun streams through the blinds, gently coaxing you awake. You catch the aroma of sizzling bacon wafting from the kitchen as you continue to fight the urge to sleep in longer.
With a quick stride, you open your door to find your close friends, Yoongi and Jimin, seated at the dining table, enjoying breakfast. Their subtle waves are met with your ecstatic waving. You glance at Namjoon standing near the stove wearing a tank top and basketball shorts. He tends to the bacon in the pan as it sizzles and pops.
"Joon, could you set aside two pieces for me?" you call out, causing him to jolt as he hadn't noticed your presence in the room due to him being in zen focus trying not to burn everyone’s breakfast.
He sighs, shoulders slumping. "You better hurry and brush your teeth, or I might let Jungkook have the rest once he's out of the shower in a few minutes."
Nodding, you hurry to the second bathroom in your home to prepare for the day, aiming to grab some fresh homemade breakfast before your noon class.
This spacious house has been your shared sanctuary with your childhood best friends – Kim Namjoon, Min Yoongi, and Park Jimin – since the start of your second year of college in September. Last year, some older guy friends from your hometown who went to the same college as you lived at the house originally. Then over the summer, your best friends moved in with them to take summer courses and on-campus internships. You got added to the mix when you were desperately trying to find housing as the university waitlisted you in favor of the 29,000 new freshmen they admitted to the campus who they prioritized housing for. After looking at expensive off-campus apartments and sketchy leases, the boys couldn’t bear seeing you struggle and potentially homeless, so they let you live with them in their 4 bedroom home. Your housemate Seokjin gave up his single room, with a bit of hesitation, so you could live comfortably. The rest of the boys share rooms with each other.
With eight people living together, the house unofficially earns the nickname "Beta Tau Sigma," or the “pseudo frat”, as some people around campus called it. While not officially recognized as a fraternity due to various complicated reasons, the BTS house still became known for its "poppin’ house parties” hosted by your lovely housemate Jung Hoseok last year.
Your friendship with Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin goes back to a little over a decade ago. Namjoon became your next door neighbor as a kid, eventually he introduced you to Yoongi who was a family friend of his, and finally, you all befriended Jimin when he transferred to your middle school. You all remained close during high school. Namjoon and Yoongi, being a year older than you and Jimin, graduated and went to college. Eventually you and Jimin graduated, and the two of you got into the same college a few hours away from your hometown as them and attended together.
However, moving in with a bunch of men was something you prefer that people didn’t know about you. You wanted to avoid any rumors being created, especially considering the guys living with you are popular among the girls at your campus. If there is something that you don’t miss from high school, it is the petty drama and baseless rumors people make to tear others down. For now, people assume you are living in the dorms with your only female friend: Hwasa. You always think that it’s for the best things are this way. You decide not to think too much beyond that, despite the probability that a few people are catching on to the fact that you probably do live with these guys platonically.
After washing up, you enter the kitchen again, taking a seat next to Yoongi who is engrossed in his Twitter feed. He finally acknowledges your presence.
"Took you long enough, huh? Don't you have Stats at 10?" He quips.
You scrunch your eyebrows at him. Good morning to you too, Yoongs?” You retort playfully. “No stats today. It’s Thursday so I have Finance at noon!"” You exclaim loudly to the room.
Groans resonate through the kitchen. Yoongi's teasing backfires, much to his chagrin. Taehyung descends from upstairs, puzzled by the commotion in the room.
“What’s wrong with her finance class?” He asks innocently.
"There’s nothing wrong with the class, but it's the classmate in that class!" Namjoon sighs, leaning on the counter after placing your bacon and avocado toast plate on the table.
"Lim Jaebeom," Jimin snickers, promptly earning a discreet kick from you under the table. "Ow! Hey! No need to resort to violence! Hey! I’m only speaking facts!” He winces as he holds his knee up and rubs the pain away.
Lim Jaebeom, also known by everyone as JB, is the cute guy you met in your Macroeconomics class last year. He is popular as a member of a real fraternity, Gamma Omega Tau and the professional frat, Kappa Psi Pi (or JYP, as some called it?). Part of both fraternities, he radiates talent as a business major and an underground SoundCloud artist on the side. While your interactions remain class-related, he greets you often outside of class even after the course finished, much to your best friends’ annoyance.
Over spring semester of last year and the initial weeks of the current fall semester, you’ve developed a small crush on Jaebeom. Though when it comes to your love life, it’s been a few years since you’ve had some kind of thing going on. There’s only been two people so far: Wonwoo, captain of the Men’s varsity volleyball team who you slept with once when you boldly asked him if he would take your v-card. You and your best friends were going through an experimental era during your junior year of high school. They teased you a lot about being “innocent” but were left speechless when you told them what you’ve done. They said that was the end of the experimental era. Later on you also found out he’s your housemate Jungkook’s cousin.
The second guy is Yeonjun. You don’t like to talk about him much, but he was in the same year and you guys talked often (much to Namjoon’s dismay). He was your fake date at your housemate Seokjin's brother's wedding the summer after you graduated high school. One thing led to another and you were sneaky links for a while. It didn’t end well though.
"She's got eyes for JB, but is too scared to make a move," Jimin teases, earning him another kick under the table to which he dodges.
"In case you forgot, it took you a month to see Irene Bae wanted you so badly," Taehyung rolls his eyes while a hint of a smile tugs your lips as you struggle to suppress your laughter seeing him call out Jimin.
The Jimin and Irene power couple relationship goes back to spring semester last year. Taehyung needed Jimin to go on a double date with him to the Psi Gamma Epsilon Formal, which is the co-ed fraternity that Taehyung’s girlfriend Jennie is in. While you have many mixed opinions about Taehyung’s tastes when it comes to women, you hate that he influenced some of those tastes on Jimin. Thus, Jennie introduced Jimin to her friend, Irene (the Sigma Mu Epsilon Campus President) and the rest is history.
Though, you weren't aware that they were dating until a month ago when they had already been dating for three months. You are not sure how they managed to hide it from people for a while.
“Ya!! How was I supposed to know that getting asked to eat ramen together on a Friday night meant anything BUT eating ramen.” Jimin sighs as he gets up from his chair. “Maybe you should ask Jaebeom out for some ramen.” He playfully suggests, emphasizing Jaebeom's name, sending your face into a blush.
"I'm not interested in sleeping with him!" you protest, cheeks burning. In Korean slang, sharing ramen implies spending the night together. You’d rather romantically share ramen like the spaghetti eating scene in “Lady & the Tramp” than fuck him and ruin your friendship.
“Isn’t that what he’s known for? Sleeping with girls, taking sex polaroids, and plastering them on his frat bedroom wall? Taehyung butts in, since he too, knows of Jaebeom’s lifestyle like everyone else on this campus does. You, of course, are aware of it too, which is why you haven’t bothered to try your chance with him.
“Exactly why I’m okay being the nice friend saying hi from across campus when he says hi instead of becoming a faceless polaroid in his room of him giving me backshots.” You cross your arms as you roll your eyes at him.
“Please don’t give me mental images of that.” Yoongi finally speaks up, groaning at your words again. You playfully elbow his side at your remark. He covers his face immediately as he feels himself blushing at these thoughts.
“Well, when you decide to get the balls to do something, I shall be here to give you advice. Just let me know.” Jimin says as he grabs his bag from the couch and heads to class with Taehyung, leaving you with Namjoon and Yoongi.
“Wow, can you believe him? He thinks he can talk big now that he’s dating little Miss Sigma Mu Epsilon’s President Irene.” You let out an annoyed sigh as you take a bite out of the avocado toast Namjoon gave you.
At first you were excited for one of your guy best friends to be in a relationship again after years, but that excitement was short-lived as you noticed Jimins’ absence in the house became more evident. He would either be at his dance club, studying in the library, or spending the rest of his freetime with Irene. Maybe doing all of the above with her.
When you and your best friends were in relationships or flings in the past, they promised that they would never leave or ignore the group to prioritize those other people first.  And they were always true to their word.
But as of lately, not anymore. While you once were used to having Jimin at home or at the dorm common area with the guys for Friday Night Game Night, this sight was slowly becoming a memory. It’s hard to admit how these subtle changes of seeing Jimin prefer to do other activities saddens you. You eventually decided to bottle up your feelings of sadness, not wanting them to see, and focus on other things filling up your plate.
Namjoon wasn’t paying attention to what you said as he uncontrollably smiles at his phone with a Kakao talk chat with someone pulled up, making your eyes narrow at him.
“O-Oh, sorry. I was texting Jihyo.” he admits blatantly, before widening his eyes at what he just said. “What did you say?” Namoon glances at you briefly.
“Park Jihyo? Your group project partner slash sex–?” Yoongi narrows his gaze at Namjoon, before he quickly launches to cover Yoongi’s mouth.
What? Is this seriously another sudden revelation incoming this early in the morning? You didn’t think you’d spiral into a pool of further questioning the future of your friendship with your guy best friends. Especially when it comes to Namjoon dating the campus’ kindest angel, Jihyo. Compared to Irene, you don’t have anything snarky to say about Jihyo. You admit she is better in hundreds of different ways than you. You wonder if your friends’ recent dating or fling escapades are a sign of a bigger issue in your friendship with them. You wonder if Yoongi’s also hiding someone away from your sight.
"So you’re also seeing someone?" Your pout is playful, but a hint of disappointment peeks through. "Don't tell me you're bailing on Friday Night Game Nights just like Jimin…"
Namjoon's response carries a weight of hesitation as he takes a thoughtful pause, considering his next words carefully. "Well, kind of…" His words hang in the air for a moment, a sense of complexity in his tone. "It's complicated... and no, I won't be skipping Friday Night Game Night every time like Jimin... except for this week."
The curiosity in your expression is mirrored by Yoongi's raised eyebrow. “What’s the excuse that you so kindly will be telling Yoongi and I?” you ask, the intrigue evident in your voice.
“Well actually, I may need to borrow the house so I was wondering if you guys could have Friday Night Game Night somewhere else.”
“Why should we go somewhere--” As you begin to protest, an epiphany interrupts your words, causing them to taper off. A realization dawns, connecting the dots between Yoongi's earlier comments and the direction this conversation is taking. “Wait what!? KIM NAMJOON YOU-!”
“You’re seriously going to sexile everyone in this house?” Yoongi's words burst forth interrupting yours, his laced with a mixture of genuine surprise and a hint of humor. His widened eyes are concealed behind a hand that covers his mouth, almost as if he's trying to stifle his amusement at the sudden request.
Namjoon lets out a chuckle, his expression playful as he confirms, "Potentially! But I'm not sure yet. I might go back to her place, but I wanted to keep my options open so we could..."
Your voice cuts in before Namjoon can elaborate further, a mix of jest and sincerity in your tone, "Okay, okay, okay, I get it! We'll move game night somewhere else then!" The words rush out of you as you shield yourself from whatever details might follow that your ears weren't prepared for. You shoot Yoongi a look, seeking affirmation. "We’ll figure it out..right, Yoongi?"
Yoongi doesn't miss a beat as he follows up with a response laced with dry humor, “Right. I really don’t want to hear my best friend fucking while I’m trying to relax at the end of a stressful week.”
A blush creeps onto your cheeks, and you playfully reprimand Yoongi, your palm meeting your face in an exaggerated facepalm, "Yoongi, please spare us from any more visual details." Your laughter mingles with a hint of embarrassment, but you quickly regain your composure. "But thank you for letting us know, Namjoon..."
Namjoon's easy smile returns, and he jests, "Have fun without me, though. I know Jin and Jungkook will keep things lively without me or even Jimin there."
Even without any truly scandalous events transpiring, an air of awkwardness hangs over the conversation. The remainder of your breakfast passes in silence, each of you lost in your own thoughts. Eventually, you rise from the table, making your way back to your room to prepare for class, which looms just an hour away.
❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊
By the time you come out of your room again, only Yoongi and Jungkook are in the living room doing last minute assignments. You assume Namjoon already left for class with Hoseok and also figure Seokjin left even before that. He’s the only person in this house taking 8am classes.
This is the norm. On Thursdays, you walk with Yoongi to class, as his class is in the same building as yours. Sometimes, Jungkook joins you guys when he procrastinates the hour before class to finish assignments.
“Are you ready to go? Jungkook’s done now.” Yoongi gets up from the couch already expecting your response to be yes. Jungkook looks up from his textbook to give you a thumbs up.
“Yep, all ready to go.”
The three of you step out onto campus, engaging in conversation that weaves between the events of the week and the anticipation of the impending game night. As you discuss plans, you consider the limited guests—Namjoon engaged with his "complicated" fuck buddy situation, Jimin on his weekend outings with Irene—leaving only you, Yoongi, Jungkook, Hoseok, Jin, and Taehyung for the upcoming Friday Night Game Night. At least you thought it was just the 6 of you.
Jungkook interjects, scratching his head apologetically. "Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention earlier, but Taehyung and I are going out bowling and drinking with the Woogas on Friday..." His voice trails off with a sheepish smile, his plea for forgiveness evident in his gesture. The Woogas were a group of grad students who were close to Taehyung.
Surveying the group left, you pose a question, preempting any plans that would end up getting canceled. "Anybody else have plans?"
Jungkook takes a bit to contemplate, his mutterings finally clarifying the situation. "I remember Jin hyung texting the gc that he has a Kappa Psi Pi chapter till 9:30 tomorrow—pledging's keeping him busy. He might go out with his frat brothers afterward for drinks. Hoseok is out of town tonight for a competitive dance tournament with the uni dance club."
A collective sigh of resignation hangs in the air as you and Yoongi register the inevitability—it's just the two of you for the upcoming Friday night. Your expressions communicate mutual understanding, as if exchanging an unspoken acknowledgment that it won't be just this one time moving forward.
You bid farewell to Jungkook as he heads off to his own class, then turn to Yoongi with a hopeful glint in your eyes, silently urging him to weave his magic and devise a plan to fill the void left by your absent friends.
"Maybe we could hit that popular bar downtown? What's it called...Arena?" Yoongi suggests, a hint of excitement lacing his words.
A shake of your head expresses your skepticism. "On a Friday night? I heard too many weirdos go at that time, Yoongs.”
“Then, why don’t we go house party hopping? We haven’t done that since freshman year.” He smirks, as he adds the nostalgic suggestion.
The words "house party hopping" elicit a mix of memories, both good and not-so-good. It's a ritual familiar to college freshmen to excessively drink and dance at multiple parties in one night, but it gets too difficult to do through the rest of undergrad. You, however, have only done this activity of going to multiple different parties in one night, twice.
The first time, things went smoothly when Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jimin went to five different house parties on the frat house row. The second time was not so smooth. Contrary to popular belief of Beta Tau Sigma, everyone at the house are light-weights when it comes to drinking, with Yoongi, Jungkook and Taehyung probably being the strongest drinkers of the bunch. That night of house party hopping ended with Namjoon and Jimin getting drunk and losing their student access cards at one of the five houses you went to. Because they couldn’t get into their dorm, you and Yoongi had to carry them back to your dorm and have them to stay at the dorm’s study lounge for the night. At some point, you all almost got caught by the dorm RA making their nightly rounds to make sure everything is good. Yoongi quickly excused all of you being cramped in the small room as “studying for an accounting midterm”, to which the RA didn’t question anything further after hearing the words “accounting” and left you alone for the rest of the night.
Based on that experience, you are reluctant to even try doing that again. However this time, it is just going to be you and Yoongi, the most mature ones in the overall friend group. Or at least you like to think so.
"Well, considering how the last time went..." Your voice trails off, your narrowed eyes revealing your internal debate. "I'll think about it more and let you know."
Yoongi nods at your response and you both say goodbye as you part ways to class.
❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊
Entering your finance class, You secure a seat near the door and the front board, a vantage point that lets you observe the classroom's dynamics. Today, however, your routine is disrupted when someone unexpectedly occupies the seat next to you.
As you set up your notebook, your gaze lifts, revealing Jaebeom sitting beside you. A faint flutter tugs at your heart, a pulse of anticipation racing through your veins. A steady stream of thoughts races through your mind, echoing, "This is definitely sus." You've consumed enough romance novels and coming-of-age stories to recognize when circumstances take a pointed turn. You've shared casual conversations and greetings with Jaebeom, but sitting next to each other is unprecedented—there's surely more to it.
A subtle "Ahem" draws your attention, and Jaebeom turns to face you, his eyes meeting yours. "Hey, Y/N… do you mind if I sit here today? I left my glasses behind, and I can't really see from my usual spot."
Your reassurance carries a softness as you reply, "Hi, Jaebeom! Of course, no problem." A smile graces your lips, and he returns it, dispelling the suspicions you had entertained. So you guess there’s no special reason for sitting next to you.
The rest of class goes by smoothly, but you can’t help but to think that Jaebeom has something else to ask you about. The overthinking from your wild imagination is getting to you. As the class concludes, you hurriedly pack your belongings, eager to continue with your day. Yet, before you can make your exit, Jaebeom's voice halts you in your tracks.
"Hey! I've been meaning to ask," his words are loud, receiving attention from your peers, "Do you have any plans for tomorrow? The Gammas are hosting a party, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in coming."
Bingo. This is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Not an invite to a party per se, BUT now you suddenly have something to do with Yoongi tomorrow night after being ditched by everyone else.
“I’m down to go! I actually changed plans with a few friends so I don’t have anything to do tomorrow night.”
Jaebeom's response brings an even wider smile to your face. “Then I’ll see you there! You can bring a friend with you if you’d like.” And with that, you and Yoongi are definitely booked for tomorrow night.
With those words, your plans for tomorrow night are sealed. The newfound excitement has you beginning to wonder whether it’s actually alright to go considering Yoongi feels indifferent towards Jaebeom. You decide to call him about the plan on your way to the library for your daily fix of iced tea.
Dialing Yoongi's number, you initiate the conversation. "You and me, Gamma Omega Tau house party," you declare, your voice laced with anticipation.
His response holds a curious tone. "...So, I'll take that as a yes to house party hopping."
Chuckling, you clarify, maintaining your stance. "Well, we could do that if you're set on it," You explain, continuing your lowkey refusal to repeat that experience. “...but I actually got personally invited to the GOT party by Jaebeom.”
Yoongi's groan resonates through the line, conveying his reluctance but also a willingness to compromise. "If there's free booze and a chance to catch up with some other friends, then count me in."
“That’s perfect!” Excitement in your voice is clear to Yoongi as you both finalize plans for tomorrow night. Perhaps it’ll end up being a fun night for the both of you compared to what everyone else was doing instead. The upset feeling from all the sudden changes continues to linger in your chest, but you brush it away with the hopes of getting wasted on Friday.
❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊ October 5 - (Friday)
Friday comes by like a quick breeze. The day passes in a blur of classes, assignments, and hanging out with Yoongi and the rest of your friends. Evening comes around, and you find yourself getting ready for the Gamma Omega Tau party. You choose a cute yet comfortable outfit consisting of a revealing v-bar black tube top and ripped boyfriend jeans, hoping to strike a balance between looking good and feeling at ease. After a bit of makeup and fixing your hair, you are ready to head out.
You walk over to knock on Yoongi’s bedroom door. He opens the door revealing his outfit: a black tank top, acid-washed ripped jeans, and a black leather jacket to top it off. It definitely makes him exude his signature nonchalant charm. As he greets you with a nod, you can’t help but feel a flutter of excitement for the night ahead. You guys look so hot and would definitely make the other guys jealous of your totally awesome alternative Friday night plans if they were here.
The two of you make your way to the party a couple blocks away on frat row, the streets buzzing with energy as students get ready to party for the weekend. The Gamma Omega Tau house is alive with music, laughter, and the glow of colorful lights. You both enter the party, and immediately the atmosphere hits you—a mix of pulsating music, chatter, and the distinct scent of alcohol.
Yoongi heads to the makeshift bar in the kitchen to get drinks, while you decide to explore the party on your own. You bump into a couple of familiar faces from classes, exchanging greetings and catching up briefly. Some of these faces included Hwasa, your only dear female best friend who you haven’t seen much since moving out of your shared dorm freshman year. She is a little busy taking shots with who seems to be your old dorm floor neighbors Soyoon and Jieun. But overall, the night is young, and the anticipation of what it could bring is building up inside you.
A little while later, Yoongi returns with drinks in hand—something colorful and sweet for you, and something stronger for himself. You clink your cups together before taking a sip. The music is loud, and bodies are moving to the rhythm all around you. It was a sight to behold—the carefree spirit of college life on full display.
As the night progresses, you find yourself playing various party games, dancing a little with Hwasa, and meeting new people she introduces you to. Yoongi seems to be enjoying himself from a distance, laughing and chatting with a group of guys from his music class. He occasionally watches you from afar to make sure you don’t get lost or that something even worse doesn’t happen. Frat parties can be dangerous after all. It makes you feel a little happy that he does these little things and shows how much he cares about you. More than you thought before. However, there’s a sudden moment in the lively ambience when you start to feel a pang of loneliness. A sense of being adrift in a sea of unfamiliar faces.
Time seems to slip away as you’re lost in the lights, and before you know it, you are on your third drink. The alcohol is starting to take its effect, making you feel warm and a bit more uninhibited. Maybe this wasn’t the best choice. Maybe partying is not what you needed tonight to get your mind off of things.
And these thoughts are only amplified with the next thing you see. In the corner of the crowded kitchen, you catch Namjoon and Jihyo making out, and your heart races. You suddenly excuse yourself from the group you are chatting with and head towards the front door, seeking some space to clear your head.
However you stop yourself from bursting out of the open door. Instead, you lean against the wall, trying to steady your breathing. The noise and chaos of the party feel overwhelming now rather than numbing your thoughts from earlier. You clutch your cup as you look around, feeling like an outsider in your own surroundings. It’s in this moment of vulnerability that someone bumps into you, spilling their red jungle juice all over your clothes. You look down at your stained jeans emotionless.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" the girl exclaims, looking genuinely apologetic as she hands you some napkins. Your vision is blurring and you can’t tell if you know her or not. Her voice sounds familiar though.
Though, you manage a weak nod letting her know it was fine. It is in that unfortunate moment that you see your crush, JB, appearing out of nowhere walking in your direction. In the several hours you’ve been here this is when he decides to show up?! Your heart continues to race faster as he approaches, his eyes locking onto yours. Not right now, you plead to the gods internally that he isn’t coming towards you. But he does.
"Hey, Y/N, are you okay?" JB asks, his concern evident in his voice as he looks you over.
You feel a lump forming in your throat, not wanting him to see you in this state of vulnerability. Your eyes well up, and you fight to hold back tears. This isn't how you want him to see you, at your lowest point, struggling to keep it together.
Just as you are about to break down, a strong hand gently takes hold of your left arm, pulling you away from JB. You are led into the dimly lit hallway, away from the noise of the party. Not many people looming in this area. The door to the bathroom opens as someone leaves, and the person guides you inside before locking the door behind you.
Your visions starts to focus fully again. And you see…
It’s Yoongi.
His presence is a lifeline you forgot that you needed moments before.
"Y-Yoongi!" The exclamation trembles in the air, a mixture of surprise, relief, and the weight of your unraveling emotions.
In the dimly lit bathroom, you finally let your guard down, the tears streaming down your cheeks. Yoongi is momentarily taken aback by the intensity of your reaction, but swiftly recovers. He extends a napkin from his pocket, offering it as a gesture of support. His features, though, oscillate between concern and puzzlement, his brows slightly furrowed.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asks softly, his voice a comforting presence in the midst of your turmoil.
You take a shuddering breath, trying to gather your thoughts. The alcohol is making it hard to articulate your feelings, but you manage to explain how seeing Namjoon and Jihyo had triggered a sense of loneliness and panic within you. Jimin dating Irene in what seemed to be a serious relationship also has you spiraling. It all makes you question the stability of your friendships and fear that you are slowly losing the people who once meant the most to you.
Yoongi listens intently, his gaze unwavering as he lets you pour out your feelings. When you are done, he leans against the sink, his expression thoughtful.
"I get it," he says, his voice soft but steady. "Change is hard, and sometimes it feels like everything is slipping away. But you know, life just keeps moving forward, and people change, I guess. But it doesn’t mean Namjoon or Jimin are leaving you behind."
You nod, sniffing as you wipe away your tears. "I know, but... it's just overwhelming seeing everything unfold."
He reaches out and gently tilts your chin up, meeting your gaze with his warm eyes. "You're not alone in this, Y/N. We're here for you, and we're all figuring things out as we go along."
His words strike a chord within you, a sense of comfort washing over you in the midst of your emotional storm. Yoongi's presence feels like an anchor, grounding you when everything feels chaotic.
Then, without warning, he looks at you intensely and asks, “Since we’re having this conversation, I’m questioning whether you like Jimin based on what you just said…"
You blink, caught off guard by the sudden change in topic. "What? No! Jimin's like a brother to me. A reliable brother who understands me pretty well…” You pause a bit and mumble, “Well at least he used to."
He nods, his gaze unrelenting yet thoughtful, as if he's trying to read between the lines of your response. But then he asks another question that left you momentarily speechless.
"What about Namjoon?"
You hesitate, your mind racing. Your feelings for Namjoon have always been a bit more complex, and you aren't sure how to put them into words. Namjoon was your first friend out of the trio of him, Yoongi, and Jimin. He was 7 when he moved in next door from Korea as his dad got a new job working as a Chemical Engineer for an energy company in the US. You got along well with him as kids who both played Pokemon games and he was the only person you could trade with. He’s also the one who gave you his shiny purple Wailmer from his Pokemon Emerald. Eventually as you got older, you both came to enjoy reading books and art history. What does he mean to you?
Before you can muster a response to that, Yoongi suddenly adds another question, his voice gentle yet persistent. “What about me?”
Your gaze flickers to him, and you find yourself locking eyes with him. Then you quickly look away, focusing on the purple lighting in the bathroom.
This questions starts to add new thoughts that you hadn’t really considered due to your worries about Namjoon and Jimin. However now, the intensity of this current moment is almost overwhelming, and you feel a swirling mix of emotions within you. Yoongi's proximity, his unwavering gaze, and the weight of his questions are all converging, pulling you into a realm of introspection and vulnerability.
Yoongi seems to sense your uncertainty, your inner struggle. He steps closer, his presence enveloping you. His gaze remains fixed on yours, his face just inches away from yours. The air between you is charged, heavy with unspoken words and unexplored emotions. "You can tell me," he urges softly, his voice a gentle whisper that brushes against your skin.
As you look into his eyes again, your heart races. The alcohol has lowered your inhibitions, and in this moment, everything feels so intense, so raw. You try to form words, but they fail you. Instead, you let your gaze speak for you, letting your emotions flow through the unspoken connection between you. Suddenly Namjoon and Jimin are blurring away to only afterimages in your current state of mind. All you see in great focus is Yoongi right now.
Without another word, Yoongi closes the distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a gentle, tentative kiss. The world around you fades away, and all that matters is the warmth of his touch, the taste of his lips, and the rush of emotions that swirls between you.
The kiss is a silent confession, a release of feelings that have been building up for far too long. When Yoongi finally pulls away, his forehead rests against yours, his breath slightly uneven.
"Y-Yoongi..," you whisper, a mix of surprise and wonder in your voice.
Yoongi chuckles softly, his thumb brushing against your cheek. "Sometimes, things don't need to be said. They just need to be felt."
As you stand there, locked in each other's gaze, you realize that this unexpected turn of events has brought you closer to Yoongi in ways you didn’t anticipate. It’s a new chapter, a chance to explore something deeper and more meaningful between you.
With a gentle smile, he leans in to kiss you again, and this time, there is no hesitation, no uncertainty—just the promise of a connection that has been there all along, waiting to be acknowledged.
And so, in the dimly colored bathroom of the Gamma Omega Tau house, amid the sounds of distant laughter and music, you and Yoongi quickly unite lips once again.
As the intensity between you and Yoongi grows, the bathroom seems to shrink around you, leaving only the two of you enveloped in a bubble of shared emotion. His lips press against yours with a newfound urgency, a hunger that mirrors the feelings you have both kept hidden for so long. The taste of him is intoxicating, a blend of sweetness and warmth that sends shivers down your spine.
His hands find their way to your waist, pulling you closer to him. The touch of his fingertips against your skin sends a wave of electricity through your body, igniting a fire deep within you. Your own hands instinctively move to his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your palms.
The kiss deepens, a passionate dance of lips and tongues that leaves no room for doubts or reservations. Yoongi's fingers trail up your back, the sensation making your breath hitch. The world outside that bathroom seems distant, irrelevant, as your focus narrows down to the connection between your bodies and the raw emotion that flows between you.
A soft moan escapes your lips, a sound that seems to fuel the fire burning between you. Yoongi's lips leave yours, trailing a path of heated kisses down your jawline, his warm breath sending shivers across your skin. His hands move to your hips, pulling you against him, and you can feel his own desire pressing against your abdomen.
With a mix of urgency and tenderness, he captures your lips once more, pouring every unspoken word and hidden longing into the kiss. Your fingers thread through his hair, tugging lightly as his lips explore your neck, leaving a trail of fire in their wake. Your heartbeat pounds in your ears, each touch, each sensation sending ripples of pleasure through your body.
The soft fabric of your clothes seems like an obstacle now, an unnecessary barrier between your skin and his. Yoongi's fingers deftly work at the buttons of your tube top, his touch leaving a trail of fire along your exposed skin. Your breath hitches as his lips find the sensitive curve of your neck, his teeth grazing your skin gently, causing a shiver to course through you.
In a moment of boldness, your hands move to the hem of his shirt, pulling it up to reveal his bare chest. Your fingers trace the contours of his muscles, feeling the rise and fall of his breath beneath your touch. His lips find yours once again, a hungry, fervent kiss that speaks of the intensity of your emotions.
With a skillful touch, Yoongi lifts you up onto the bathroom counter, the cool surface sending a shock through your body. He stands between your legs, his hands moving to cup your face, thumbs brushing over your cheeks as he gazes into your eyes.
"I've wanted this for so long," he murmurs, his voice rough with desire.
You can only respond with a breathless nod before his lips crash against yours again. Not fully understanding the words that just left his mouth. The kiss deepens, a mixture of passion and tenderness that leaves you dizzy with sensation. His hands explore every curve of your body, memorizing the feel of your skin beneath his fingertips.
Your own hands aren't idle either, roaming his chest and back, reveling in the sensation of his skin against yours. The heat between you was undeniable, a magnetic pull that draws you closer with every passing second. And in that bathroom, amid the swirling emotions and the touch of your lips, you feel an unspoken promise taking root—a promise of something more, something real and beautiful.
The outside world fades into insignificance. The party, the noise, the worries about Namjoon and Jimin and everyone else—all of it melts away, leaving only the two of you and the intensity of this moment. As you hold onto each other, lost in the depths of your feelings, you know that this is a turning point that will permanently alter your friendship with Yoongi.
As the kisses between you and Yoongi continue, the electricity in the air grows stronger, pulling you both further into the depths of your shared desire. Every touch, every caress is a testament to the unspoken connection that has been building between you for so long. It’s as if the universe has finally aligned, allowing you to explore the feelings that have been simmering beneath the surface.
A soft, almost desperate, sound escapes Yoongi's lips as he reluctantly pulls away from the kiss, his forehead resting against yours as he tries to catch his breath. His eyes, dark and intense, lock onto yours, and you can see the raw emotions swirling within them.
"We should... we should get out of here," he murmurs, his voice rough with a mixture of longing and uncertainty.
You nod in agreement, feeling a rush of excitement and nerves course through you. This is a pivotal moment, a decision that could potentially change the course of your relationship. With a shared understanding, you both turn away from the party scene and make your way through the crowd towards the exit.
The cool night air hits you as you step outside, a welcome contrast to the heated intensity of the party. Yoongi's hand finds yours, his fingers intertwining with yours as you walk side by side down the dimly lit streets. The silence between you is charged with anticipation, every step bringing you closer to a new chapter in your story.
When you finally arrive back at the house, the atmosphere is different—quieter, more intimate. Namjoon didn’t come use the house like he said he would yesterday, you briefly recall. Maybe that’s a good thing. The GOT party is still in full swing, he is there with Jihyo, but you and Yoongi are in your own world here with no one to stop what is happening. The journey up the stairs to your shared house feels like a blur, your heart racing in anticipation of what is to come.
Once inside, you both head straight to your bedroom. The air is thick with tension, the unspoken yet silly question hangs in the air: Is this really happening? As you close the door locking it behind you, the outside world fades away, leaving only the two of you in the cocoon of your own space.
Yoongi turns to you, his gaze searching yours for reassurance. Without a word, you step closer, closing the distance between you. His hands find their way to your waist, pulling you gently against him. The touch of his body against yours sends a shiver of electricity through you, a reminder of the desire that has been building between you.
His lips find yours again, a kiss that holds all the pent-up longing and emotion that have been simmering beneath the surface. The taste of him, the feel of his lips moving against yours, is intoxicating. His hands roam your body with a reverence that sends waves of pleasure coursing through you.
With each kiss, each touch, the world around you fades away, leaving only the intensity of the moment. The bed is just a few steps away, an inviting sanctuary where you could explore the depths of your connection in private. Without breaking the kiss, you take his hand and lead him towards the bed, your heart pounding in anticipation.
As you stand at the edge of the bed, your eyes meet Yoongi's, a silent agreement passing between you. With a mixture of urgency and tenderness, you begin to undress each other, the air heavy with the weight of your shared desire. Yoongi's touch is gentle, his fingers tracing every curve of your body as he reveals the skin beneath your clothes.
Soon, you are both standing before each other, bare and vulnerable, yet completely unburdened by the weight of your emotions. You shyly stare down at Yoongi’s dick, admiring its pink, veiny appearance. It looks very girthy, potentially filling to the core. You're embarrassed to admit you might have imagined Yoongi naked before. When you were a middle schooler curiously imagining bodily differences between you and your male friends. But now seeing his beautiful body before you brings some excitement to your soft skin, some heat rushing through your core and nearly down your thighs, onto the floor. Your mouth suddenly dries and you feel self-conscious that your expression may be as plain and eager as it might be. He clears his throat, but that makes him more embarrassed. You bite your bottom lip, unsure of what to do.
He takes your hand and leads you to the bed. Yoongi's lips find yours once more, a kiss that speaks of promises and possibilities. With a gentle push, he guides you onto the bed, his body following yours as the kiss deepens.
The softness of the sheets beneath you, the heat of Yoongi's body against yours—it is a sensory overload, a symphony of sensations that leaves you breathless. You feel the cold sweat of his skin on yours as your bodies press together. His lips are against your jaw and your hands are exploring his body as much as you can with your legs around his hips. He climbs down to your mound and opens his mouth letting his warm, wet tongue lap over your clit. One of Yoongi's hands finds purchase on your hip to help you move with him while the long fingers of his other hand tease your enterance before pushing inside. His hot breath on your clit and his fingers inside you makes you want to beg for more. But the sensation is so intense it has rendered you speechless, the only noise to leave your mouth is a choked, muffled groan that only urges him further.
His tongue on you feels too good and you can only let him explore. You are enjoying the sensation and the way his fingers play your body like an instrument. You let out a loud gasp when you cum, your whole body arching towards him as pleasure washed over you, your thighs tightening around to his back. You feel your insides clench and throb as your orgasm washed over you in waves.
Yoongi smirks at you for a second as he lifts his head, removing his fingers from inside you. He climbs up your body until he reaches your lips. Your hand wraps around the back of his neck and you kiss him with fervor. You taste yourself in his mouth and it makes you hungry for more. You feel the pressure in your abdomen again, desperate for more. His body is hard, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. It’s a gentle pressure, a delicious tension that makes you want more.
"Y-Yoongi... I need more.." You whimper against his mouth, your tongue running over his bottom lip before you pull away and look into his eyes. "Please, I need more..."
"I've got you, angel." He whispers reassuringly before he moves away briefly to retrieve the condom he keeps handy in his wallet in case he ever needs it. The new nickname catches you off guard as he usually tends to call you Sunshine unless you’re having a serious conversation, like earlier. However you kind of like this name.
He opens the package with his teeth and rolls the rubber on himself. You whimper when you feel the head of his cock press against you. He slowly pushes inside, but it’s enough to make your head spin. His length fills you perfectly and you can feel yourself pulsate around him. He makes his way slowly inside you, pushing deeper until he is completely inside you. He then rests his forehead against yours. You look into each other's eyes and the intensity of his gaze is almost enough to make you cum right then and there.
"You're doing so well for me," He speaks softly, his voice hoarse with arousal. His praises pull a moan from your lips you can't supress.
He slowly pulls out then pushes back in watching as his cock disapears inside you. He pulls out again and does the same thing. His thrusts become faster with each time he pushes back inside. As your moans become louder, his thrusts become more eager. He adjusts himself until he finds a position that has his cock hitting your g-spot with each thrust, your legs lifting over his hips and your hands roaming his body to keep yourself grounded.
Yoongi's leaves small kisses along your neck and down to your breasts as he continues to fuck you. He acts carefully with each action he takes, and makes a point to watch your reaction for the slightest sign of discomfort. He never stops praising you, whispering how good you were for him and how much he loves having you like this, taking all of him. His sultry low voice is making you even more sensitive and it’s a bit overwhelming, but it somehow helps make your depressing thoughts from earlier at the party disappear. With him, you felt safe and cared for.
His hands come to cup your breast and you cry out as your body arches towards him. He keeps one hand cupping your breast and takes your nipple between his fingers and gently pinches it, eliciting a softer whimper from you.
You pull Yoongi against you closing the gap between your bodies, your fingers grip his hair tightly as you cry out, your insides clenching around him. Your back arches off the bed as your orgasm washed over you once again. He fucks you through your orgasm, and when your legs relaxed over his hips, he keeps pushing inside you. The sensation makes you want to cry from overstimulation, but at the same time you beg for more. His cock inside you feels too good, the pleasure is too much. You don't know what to do with your body or if you should be doing something at all. Your hands find their way up his forearms and hold on to them tightly.
"Do it," You whisper intimately. "Cum for me, Yoongi..."
Your words are added motivation for him to do just that. As he moves, his thrusts pushing deeper inside you, a cascade of sensations courses through both your bodies. Your back arches instinctively, a testament to the overwhelming pleasure that envelops you. He responds by lowering himself, his forehead meeting yours in an exquisite intimacy that intensifies the connection between you two.
Amidst the whirlwind of ecstasy, a thought flits through your consciousness—a moment of profound gratitude for the intoxicating sound of Yoongi's moans. It's a melody you never envisioned hearing, a symphony of vulnerability and shared pleasure that resonates deep within you. This unexpected harmony adds a new layer to your connection, stoking the flames of desire and amazement that consume every inch of your being. It leaves you feeling content and relaxed.
Yoongi's body shudders against yours, his moans gradually subsiding into contented sighs. With a gentle sigh of satisfaction, he slides his cock out and shifts on the bed, rolling over to lay beside you. Your chests rise and fall in tandem, the rhythm of your breaths slowly synchronizing as you find yourselves tangled in the aftermath of passion.
You both move again, laying side by side. Both of you catch your breath, the world around you receding into a hazy background as your gazes lock. Eyes that have seen each other's vulnerabilities, laughter, and shared moments now reflect a new layer of intimacy that words could never capture.
The lingering cocoons you both in a silence that speaks volumes. It's Yoongi who takes the initiative to pierce through the quiet, his voice carrying a breathless quality that mirrors the aftermath of your passion.
"How are you feeling now?" His words hang in the air, delicate yet heavy with unspoken meaning. His eyes hold a mixture of curiosity and concern, a testament to his attentiveness even in the midst of his own unraveling.
A playful smile tugs at your lips, your voice laced with a hint of mischievousness as you respond to his inquiry. "Never better," you answer, your words bathed in the soft notes of a giggle that dances between you.
His laughter echoes yours, a harmonious symphony of shared joy that envelops the space between you. It's a sound that transcends the physical, a connection that binds you beyond the realm of touch. In his laughter, you sense a quiet affirmation—a declaration that the bond you've nurtured extends beyond the passionate moments, into the realm of comfort, friendship, and a connection that defies categorization.
As the night wears on and the intensity of your connection slowly ebbs away, you find yourselves wrapped in each other's arms, your bodies intertwined in a tender embrace. Yoongi's touch is reassuring, his fingers tracing gentle patterns on your skin as you lay together in the quiet darkness.
"I want you to know," Yoongi's voice was soft, his breath tickling your ear, "that no matter what happens, I'll always be here for you. You mean a lot to me, and I don't want you to ever doubt that."
His words warm your heart, a balm to the insecurities that have been lingering in the back of your mind. In his arms, you felt safe, cherished, and valued—emotions that have been elusive for so long.
"I feel the same way," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. "You've always been there for me, Yoongi, and I'm grateful for that."
The quiet moment between you is filled with unspoken understanding. It is a pact, a promise to stand by each other's side no matter what challenges lay ahead. In this moment, the weight of your fears seemed to be lifted, replaced by a sense of comfort and reassurance.
But the hours drift by, and as the night grows deeper and the two of you grow more sober, the lingering consequences of your actions begin to cast a shadow over your thoughts. The warmth of Yoongi's embrace can't dispel the nagging worry that what you’ve done could have far-reaching ramifications.
It was the alcohol that further fueled your doubts, the liquid courage dulling your ability to rationalize. In the haze of your tipsy stupor, you begin to wonder if the intensity of the night is a result of the moment, the shared emotions, or simply the effect of alcohol clouding your judgment.
Despite Yoongi's assurances, the fear of what could come next gnaws at you. What if this changes everything? What if it ruins the friendship that has been the foundation of your relationship? The questions spiral in your mind, a whirlwind of doubt and uncertainty that refuses to be silenced.
In an attempt to push those thoughts away, you cuddle closer into Yoongi's chest. It is a fleeting distraction, a way to drown out the voices of doubt that echoed in the back of your mind. The feeling of Yoongi’s warmth becomes a welcome distraction from the complex emotions that threaten to overwhelm you.

--
“Yoongi?”
Wow, that was loud and unexpected. Knocked you right out of your very pleasant dream of stuffing your face at a buffet with thick, juicy slices of prime rib, complete with flakes of premium sea salt.
“YOONGI?!”
You could still almost taste it, but, like all dreams, the savory delight slipped away from you rapidly as you groggily blinked and realized you were resembling a croissant folded into this couch.
“You have a crush on Min Yoongi of all people?!”
Similar to the flaky buttery pastry, you had no idea what the fuck was going on. Unlike the product of a baker’s pride, sentient life required you to reorient yourself into humanity, hazily taking note of the MapleStory mushroom-printed blanket draped over you and your empty hands. Your hands had been holding your phone before you passed out. You were obsessed with mobile puzzle games recently. It was nice to have games on the go to occupy yourself instead of, bleh, socializing. It was awesome. When you figured them out too easily though, they made you sleepy.
Anyway, where the hell was your phone?
“Really?! Yoongi-hyung? Oh my gosh, he texted a human being all in his own? Wow!”
That kind of excitement could only be the voice of…
“Come on, guys, hyung’s been better about such things recently. He’s surprisingly sentimental, you know.”
And that sensible voice was none other than…
Someone snorted.
That was Kim Seokjin.
You rubbed your eyes to see a familiar man holding your very expensive Samsung smartphone with your customized Rotom phone case, poking at the screen as if he was his own.
“What kind of illegal activity are you doing over there?” you hummed as you sat up, knowing full well he did not possess access due to the fingerprint scanner. One time you snuck up on him as he tried to snoop on your phone. He had flung it, so this time you calmly stayed on the sofa as your longtime friend on the armchair jumped, thoroughly scaring himself and the lean, tan drink-of-sunshine standing behind him.
“You’re awake!” Seokjin blurted. Tall, gangly if you squinted, absolutely handsome, somehow always dancing on the edge of endearing caretaker and walking disaster, Kim Seokjin threw himself out of the plushy white armchair and shoved your phone into your face accusingly as if you were the one responsible of wrongdoing. His chestnut-brown poofy hair bounced as he relentlessly poked you in the head. “You’re texting Min Yoongi! Is that the one you have a crush on?!”
“Er, technically all hyung asked was when the group was meeting up…” Jung Hoseok squeaked, radiating apologies while Seokjin continued poking you in the head with his free hand. “I tried to tell him not to touch your phone.”
“I’m sure you did,” you replied. “I’m also sure he didn’t listen.”
“Hey. Answer me.”
“Hyung…” The concerned, deep voice was coming from the barstools in the kitchen behind you, in the don’t-annoy-her-that’s-rude-but-also-it's-not-my-place-to-scold-since-I’m-younger tone. Kim Namjoon, who was probably reading a book and drinking tea at the counter. He must have been banished there. The last time he had done the same activities in the living room, he had spilled tea all over Seokjin’s white rug. That had earned him a good yelling.
You glanced at Hoseok’s rueful expression and half-smiled, waving your hand to indicate you weren’t that bothered.
“I can’t believe you wouldn’t tell me.”
Kim Seokjin believed he needed to know such information about you because he had been your friend since your accountant mother started dragging you to house calls to a very specific home (mansion) in hopes of child you falling in love with the dashingly handsome son of one of her clients (she told his parents that it was because she couldn’t afford daycare, but even child you knew better). Instead, Seokjin and you became inseparable hopelessly addicted gaming fanatics that could not imagine each other naked without puking.
You did end up becoming inseparable. Just not in the way your mother wanted.
Oops.
“I don’t have a crush on Min Yoongi.”
“Oh yeah?” He said it in a high-pitched, disbelieving tone. You swatted his hand and snatched your phone from him, peering at the message preview. “Why is he texting you then, huh? HUH?”
Your phone vibrated.
Sorry to bother you. I would have texted Seokjin-hyung, but he’s annoying.
“He says you’re annoying.”
“Ex-cuse ME?”
“Here’s the proof.”
“EXCUSE HIM?!”
-
“What.”
“Let me in. It’s cold out here.”
“What are you doing here?” Kim Taehyung sputtered, obediently opening his apartment door to the slightly shorter, much more imposing figure of Min Yoongi. His long black hair was wild and windblown, puffy black parka zipped all the way up, hood out but useless at the moment. Light denim jeans and black boots crusted with snow. Nothing but his serious, intense demeanor made him imposing. Yoongi carefully kicked off the white ice before stepping in, slowly raising an eyebrow at Taehyung’s askew brown locks and rumpled gray sweat set.
“You’re not leaving like that are you?”
Taehyung frowned. “I’m not, duh. Jimin’s taking ages to use the bathroom. I think he fell in the toilet.”
“Hey! I heard that! Who’s out there?”
“You won’t believe it,” Taehyung shouted back to the disembodied voice coming from inside his apartment. He pushed his hair back from his eyes like he himself couldn’t believe it, revealing his classically handsome sharp features and stunned frown. “It’s Yoongi.”
“YOONGI?!”
The Min Yoongi, of the hour it seemed, rolled his eyes.
“What are you doing back there?” he called to the voice inside from the front hallway, not moving.
“Fixing my hair!” Park Jimin yelled back several decibels louder.
“I’m surprised,” Taehyung said, looking scowling Yoongi up and down like he was some kind of unidentified foreign object. “I thought you weren’t coming. Didn’t you say you were busy?”
“I made myself unbusy,” Yoongi grumbled back, pulling out his phone.
“You don’t make yourself unbusy for no reason.” Taehyung persisted, sticking his face in between Yoongi and his phone, making those cat-like eyes above narrow in annoyance.
“There’s alcohol.”
Taehyung wiggled his dark eyebrows. “I thought you were cutting back.”
Deadpan.
“Life’s shit, man.”
The younger male broke out into his boxy smile and booming laugh, pulling his head of brown curls back to double over. It was the combination of Yoongi’s dead-inside expression and monotone reply that was making Taehyung snort, that and Yoongi’s immediate return to his phone as if nothing was happening. Yoongi still made no move to actually step further into the apartment. He simply continued standing in front of the closed front door, on the welcome mat next to the shoes thrown about because Kim Taehyung couldn’t be neat unless he was impressing someone, and those people were not his best friend Park Jimin and unexpected-guest-but-still-friend Min Yoongi.
“You’re so funny, hyung.”
“I’m not.”
“Yes, you are.”
Yoongi raised his eyebrows as he stared at his phone and gave Taehyung absolutely fucking nothing to work with to continue the conversation.
“I guess you intend to drink since you stopped by here,” Taehyung chattered on, bored and unbothered about Yoongi’s lack of communication. “I’m closest to the train station and in between the karaoke bar. Plus sharing a taxi with us is cheaper than paying on your own.”
Silence.
Taehyung prodded Yoongi’s arm.
“Uh huh.”
Innovative answer.
“I think everyone is going to be there then,” Taehyung continued on, smooth baritone voice calming as he listed the people. “Namjoonie-hyung, Seokjinnie-hyung, Hoseokie-hyung, Jimin, Jungkookie, you, me…”
“Where’s Jungkook?”
“He’s asleep.”
Taehyung pointed to the couch. There was a blob of gray, black and white, too much fabric and face-down into the couch pillows. A poof of wavy black hair the only indication the pile was a human and not forgotten laundry.
“What is he, a newborn infant?”
“I don’t know. He said he was tired. If we don’t let him nap now, he’ll pass out during karaoke and we’re not strong enough to carry him out. Remember last time?” Taehyung sighed.
The monochrome blob that was supposedly the man named Jeon Jungkook suddenly snored, as if on cue.
“Yeah, I don’t know what he’s is doing in the gym but he’s unmovable,” Yoongi muttered.
The phone vibrated.
“Oh, is that me?” Taehyung immediately felt around his pockets and looked around. “Ah, where did I–”
But it was not him. Yoongi looked down. Unfortunately, you’ll bear witness to my awful singing. I apologize in advance. The corner of his lips ticked as he read the message. He breathed out. One, two, three, four seconds, and typed back. That makes the two of us then. A part of him thought he shouldn’t have started this conversation. He wasn’t good at this small talk thing, but one had to make some kind of effort in getting to know someone. And, anyway, he knew himself.
Do before getting carried away.
And, yeah, he wanted to know this one.
“I knew it.”
Yoongi slowly blinked, sensing an ominous presence staring at his phone screen, most certainly reading the name there. Sigh. He pulled his arm back and put his phone in his pocket, looking up to see the grinning, scheming, falsely-angelic face of Park Jimin looming into his peripheral view.
“Oooh, Min Yoongi has a crush.”
Yoongi said nothing, because saying nothing was better than reaching over and strangling Jimin. The latter would require physical effort. Oh, and perhaps land him in jail for murder. But that was only because Taehyung was here as witness.
“Huh… I thought I got a notification,” the latter commented, emerging from his bedroom with his uncased smartphone. Yoongi often wondered how Taehyung never cracked it, but perhaps he just bought new ones when he did. Taehyung often chose aesthetics over practicality. “Oh, finally, you’re out of the bathroom. Do I have to open a window to spare myself?”
“Tae, Yoongi-hyung has a crush,” Jimin sing-songed, bouncing around the older male teasingly as Yoongi remained statuesque. “He’s texting Seokjinnie-hyung’s lady gamer friend.”
Yoongi did not confirm or deny this information as Taehyung’s brown doe eyes went wide.
“OH?”
“Hyung’s flirting.”
Yoongi felt his right eyelid twitch.
“Jungkookie! Jungkookie, wake up, I have news!”
The blob trembled, suddenly alive, shaken violently by a hyper-excited Taehyung who couldn’t believe his ears even though he did not fact-check Jimin and had zero proof if his best friend was telling the truth or not. Apparently, he was filled with too much glee to relay this sudden revelation to the youngest, sleepiest one of the soon-to-be-drunk-as-fuck-karaoke group.
“W... Wuh?”
Unsurprisingly, Jungkook was not that articulate when barely roused from the dead.
“Yoongi-hyung’s flirting!”
Those big peepers snapped open.
“He’s WHAT?!”
-
“Mmm.”
The night smelled like smoke and someone’s delicious dinner.
“I should, ah, head home now that you’re safely at your door and all that.”
The winter night framed his figure. A halo of streetlamp light caught the gloss of his wavy black hair. Long and dark and shadowy, strands curling around high cheekbones and fair skin. He caught your gaze as you turned to face him. Black-brown eyes and unreadable expression. Half-zipped parka, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans with gray paint splattered onto one knee. No scarf. Strange, because you knew this man was the kind of guy who always wore a beanie and prioritized sensibility over aesthetics, and yet.
Min Yoongi raised his hands and exhaled into his curled palms, warming his nose at the same time. He looked away from you to do so.
“Cold?”
He shrugged. “It’s winter.”
You half-smiled, lifting your ungloved left hand. “My hands are always warm. My face always gets cold first before my hands.”
He eyed your fur-lined leather jacket. A chocolatey faux fur, softness peeking out from the tougher black fabric. Then his eyeline shifted. Intently observing your face. If you were younger, you might have thought you had to react differently. Been shy like the movies or some shit.
You simply waited, keeping your touch hovering in the winter night.
Slowly, you lowered your hand.
Something fluttered in the darkness that was those eyes. You had seen it before, maybe even spied it earlier this night. It was only a get-together between friends, drinks and karaoke, neither activity you particularly enjoyed which led to your original decision of not going. One small detail changed your mind, and he was standing right in front of you. Your singing was awful, but Yoongi was still polite enough to say that you were better than he was. I’m only good at rap. Sure. You heard what he said and his singing voice proved to contradict it. So Min Yoongi was that kind of liar, huh.
You didn’t say goodbye yet.
You could see Yoongi was waiting for you to say it first. You removed your other hand from your jacket pocket. Empty, purposefully leaving your keys behind. Calmly stared into those dark eyes as he stepped forward. You could feel it. The fire beneath the waves. Felt it all night. In the stolen glances, in the way he spoke to you, polite with piqued curiosity, in the way time stopped when your eyes connected.
You smiled.
His cold fingers touched the back of your hand.
You didn’t say anything. Didn’t need the conversation to be with words. His hand on yours, chills wrapping around the warmth. Experiential. Testing the feeling between you and him. You didn’t need to wonder what he thought of you. He had reached out and touched your hand and you let him, reaching between you and him to softly rub the back of his knuckles, silently speaking to those dark eyes and parted lips through touch. His other hand raised and laid above your joined hands.
Black strands curved around his cheeks as Yoongi lowered his head.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” he whispered, smokey and dusky.
Bodies closer, breath mixing. Your head tilted. Lashes lowering. Cold night air disappearing because of the fire under the water, breath to breath, hot, almost burning, the desire to break the surface rising, rising.
“Is it this?” you murmured, barely audible.
You could tell a lot from one kiss. He did not hide his hesitancy or his want. Honesty from the very beginning of his lips on yours, surprised at the way you pressed back against him and inhaled, imprinting the moment to your memory with his scent. Your grip tightened and his did too, telling you everything you needed to know, kiss after kiss, pulling him to you, away from the winter night and memories of a friendly get-together, about to change them into something…
Else.
Yeah.
Fuck it, you were already pushing his parka down his shoulders before your front door finished closing. It was dark but that didn’t matter when you remembered where everything was, flicking on low lights and bringing his face close to yours again, creating the magical moments on your own, not waiting for Yoongi for do so. He was enough magic in his breathless gasps and the way he seamlessly followed the fervor of your kiss, his shallow sighs saturated with lust. There was very little talking except the conversation of bodies. Not much to say when you collided him into the wall and slid your hands under his sweatshirt, skin to warm skin, kisses turning to hot breath and flicks of tongue against his neck, shivers under your lips, and then he flipped the situation, strong hands on your shoulders and rolling against the wall, pinning you with his body.
Hair all over his eyes.
Shaking inhale.
A hall lamp lighting the left side of his face.
“Too fast?” you asked softly.
Dark orbs flickered to yours.
“… No.”
Closer, his air becoming your air.
“I just don’t want you to think this is the reason I walked you home. I didn’t want you to get hurt. Walking at night alone isn’t safe. People are crazy.”
You half-smiled. Alright, more of a smirk. “Maybe I’m one of them.”
A light chuckle, impressed and amused at the same time. “I was trying to sober up too.” Giving excuses.
“Heard you have a high tolerance.”
“Alcohol is alcohol.”
“So, does the alcohol wanna fuck me or do you?”
No one ever called you subtle.
Yoongi closed the distance, his hair falling against your forehead. You could tell he was struggling with himself whether or not to be swept up in the waves of your fire, or maybe struggling with what was wrong and what was right, or maybe he was hesitating once he felt your relentless energy under his hands, but you could also feel something pressing against your crotch and it wasn’t one of his legs.
He was very calm once he made his decision.
“What do you like?”
Your hands in his hair, his ear between your teeth, and his moan into your pillows. Clothes all over the floor, body to body, so much heat that you both seemed to forget it was winter. His hand on your breasts, your hard nipples between his fingertips, your mouth opening and extending your tongue, teasing him, tangling your legs in his. There was some irresistible about his smile and his smirk. You chased both, running your nails over his back and ass, his hard cock pressed to your thigh and his hiss against your neck, do you have condoms, we shouldn’t, but he didn’t need to finish since you were already prepared.
“I’m not irresponsible.”
“Oh?” Yoongi cocked an eyebrow. Glanced at your rumpled sheets, his naked body as he rolled down the condom, and then at your naked body. “Doesn’t seem like it.”
You just smirked.
You were often careful after the first time, following the energy of the other person rather than your own desires. But this time, something was different. Your hand would press to his chest, fingernails curling in, and, slowly, centimeter by centimeter, his length filling you, contented sighs mixing, raking your nails down, lines of pain in your wake, listening to his hitched breath, his eyes flashing.
He didn’t say it, but his voice was in his racing heartbeat and throbbing cock.
More.
Not quite competitiveness but more like pleasure from pushing the limit. There was a certain measure of reservedness, like how he waited patiently for you to lift your leg up onto his shoulder. First one, and then you tapped his other arm. Yoongi raised his eyebrows, but he lifted his other arm, hand back to your mattress once you were folded under him.
You lifted your hips up and rammed into his crotch.
He sucked in a growl and winced, screwing his eyes shut. Probably to avoid you seeing anything too embarrassing. You let your muscles slowly close in around him, squeezing his hardness, letting yourself feel him inside you. Appreciating. He didn’t move right away. You did, steadily fucking him from below, his chest against your thighs, keeping the smirk on your face to stay as infuriating as possible.
“Fucking… Are you enjoying this?”
Low and dangerous, sweet chills up your spine at his deep voice.
“Do you fuck without the intent of enjoying it?” you countered.
He narrowed his eyes and fucked you into your mattress. Merciless and hard and deliberate. Good rhythm, which you expected. Intensity over speed, which you did not expect. Yoongi knew what he was doing. He was not just chasing his own pleasure. There was no need to with the way that you were nearly sending him over the edge with the control of your own muscles. He slowed down for a moment, lifting a hand and tracing your jaw with his fingertips, whispers under his pants, you have nice lips, you know, the perfect shape, and you licked the air, the tongue is better.
Cocked eyebrow, open-mouthed smirk.
“I’ll have to find out next time.” He ticked his head downward. “You wanna get off with me?”
“I will if you fuck me hard enough.”
“You don’t have to pretend.”
“I’m not. You’ll feel it, trust me.”
You thrusted with him to get that depth you liked and he did, in fact, feel it.
“F-Fuck!”
You bit your lower lip and grinned, throwing your head back and feeling your moan vibrate in your chest, lengthening your high with the containment. Eyes closing, no more talking, your arms up and hands clutching the pillows, fucking him as he fucked you, his swears turning into moans as he felt your orgasm convulse around him, honey wetness sticking to your inner thighs and his, chasing a higher high, cutting off every one before the final crescendo, not letting yourself fully let go, not yet, almost there, not yet.
Saturating every second with vicious, hot pleasure.
Somehow Yoongi knew. Felt it, chased it with you, his muscles tense, rigid, holding back too, building the higher high, harder, steady, fuck, so good.
Your name tumbling from his throat, the warning, and his from yours, the moment, orgasm so intense you forgot to breathe for a second, suspended, and then the crash, gasping as you felt him twitch inside you and your walls pulse, electricity shooting through your nerves, tingling and euphoric, gripping your pillows covered in your hair as Yoongi leaned forward and covered you in his hair and hot breath, colliding kiss matching the escalating beats of racing hearts.
Yoongi stared into your eyes much later, all his clothes back on.
“What?” you asked.
“Just memorizing your eyes.”
He kissed you.
-
“Love is more circumstance than fate.”
“I always thought so, too.”
These kinds of things came up in conversation around others. These were moments that happened by happenstance. For instance, in the middle of Taehyung’s tirade about how true love was definitely fate between two beings who had a connection unique to themselves that could not be replicated, and he deliberately ignored Yoongi when he pointed out that every connection one had with another was unique because it was between two individuals.
You and Yoongi shared a look of faint amusement in the midst of Taehyung’s abrupt soapbox speech.
Hoseok blinked and repeated his question of whether or not he suited the acorn-shaped pouch that was slightly overpriced despite being on sale. Namjoon injected and said that if he has asking then it meant that he was hesitating. Seokjin told him who cares, just buy it, it’s cute. That was enough convincing for Jung Hoseok. He brought it on the spot.
You found Yoongi afterward, waiting for you around the corner.
“Oh. I thought you went home.”
He looked at you, lowering the hood of his parka.
“I thought about it, but it had been a while since I appreciated the night.”
Then there was silence, until you were close, and then those dark eyes stayed on you, tendrils of black between you and him. Your fingertips touched the button placket of his coat. His head lowered. His breath had a little sweetness to it because of the Korean liquor. You kissed him.
You closed your eyes when you did.
You didn’t say much more.
You didn’t really look at his apartment when you arrived. You were too entangled in the lip lock and pinning his wrists to the wall. Heat pressed to heat. His tongue thrusting between your lips. The cold rapidly defrosting once skin was against skin.
Your nails down his chest.
Heavy exhale, burning anticipation.
You didn’t need to ask yourself, why am I like this. People spent years wondering on their own, but those years were already behind you, in lonely nights of both your parents working overtime and you alone at the table doing homework, cooking your own meals, cleaning up after yourself. If you wanted the video games to distract your brain, you had to be a good daughter. Being a good daughter was not that hard. Do all the things you were supposed to do and take up as little mental space as possible.
Something like that.
You ran your tongue along the inside of Yoongi’s thigh and savored his shudder.
The only detail that slightly annoyed your mother was that you weren’t interested in marrying Seokjin and Seokjin was clearly not interested in marrying you. Not much she could do about that. She gave up on asking for those kinds of details after that, mostly to avoid her own disappointment.
You wrapped your tongue around hot, taut skin, controlling the pressure of your tongue and lips. Up, down, tongue moving independently along the underside of the head, so precise that you saw his fingers sink into his sheets, surprise rippling over his features. Raised an eyebrow at him, letting the amusement show.
Yoongi smirked, a look that suited him very much.
All the way down, hitting the back of your throat. Easy. Guess a lot of people could call you a whore for that but, then again, the ones who actually knew were probably too busy pining over the fact that they would never feel it once more. Didn’t help that you acted as if it never happened once you were done.
You had dedication to games, but to people?
Not really.
It was fun to figure out people. It was fun discovering Yoongi. His sounds, every sigh, the tone of his moan, the way his breath shook when you took him deep and slow. He became very hard every time you went as deep as possible, past the point of breathing. He didn’t try to push your head or interfere with your pace. It was as if he trusted your movement, which was what he should do, because you knew what you were doing.
You swirled your tongue around the head as you went down.
He sucked in a gasp and closed his eyes, visible tension over his chest.
There was a strange familiarity to his movements. That was the only way you could describe the ease of reading his body language. Sometimes you let yourself feel the extent of the pleasure and sometimes you let the pressure build in your body to wallow in the torture of the buildup, like what he was doing now. He wanted to last, so you made it last. Not too fast. Tongue all over his hard, pulsing length, slowing down at the right moment of his hips shivering, layering the intensity again, stroking his balls as you sucked him, spreading the dripping saliva all over.
You hadn’t been having sex with Yoongi for very long, but it felt like you already knew his body.
You let him consider the possibility of you not letting him cum and then you continued the intensity, pushing him over the edge.
“… F-Fuck…!”
Rammed the throbbing head down your throat and felt his thick, salty orgasm spurt into the confines, leaking over your tongue and the roof of your mouth, breathing in to push it back. His hips involuntarily jerked and you immediately reached up to grip them and shove him back down, swallowing around the harsh pulses.
You heard Yoongi moan, low and sweet and erotic.
People were like games.
Only few had replay value.
-
He thought about saying something, but there wasn’t much to say.
It was his policy to not make something out of nothing. Grander, more general things, sure, he kept those ambitions. But, day-to-day, he learned it was better to go with the flow. You didn’t have disappointments if you didn’t expect much to begin with, so Yoongi didn’t expect much and let himself feel what he wanted to feel.
Like his hands on those thighs and pressing delicious legs to his chest as he sank in.
He tended to enjoy the fucking on top simply because it was easier for him. Most of the time, he didn’t feel much need to experiment or be creative. Most of the time, they weren’t worth it. Her? He fucked her in every position he could think of. This time, he felt the urge to fuck with most of his clothes on, with her holding up his shirt as he thrust into her on the edge of the bed. Not the most optimal position for maximum pleasure, but the arousal in the unnatural movement was enough to get him off.
Her too.
He could tell by the unforgiving clenching around his cock and the sopping wetness that was sticking to his balls, which was causing him to last minutes. You would think the human body would last longer if it felt better, so the pleasure could be felt more extensively, but his dick was much more interested in the instant gratification it was getting.
Oh, well.
He would have to fuck multiple times then, to prolong the pleasure.
She was the one to ask him first. Meeting without the false alibi of just happening to be at the same gathering at the same time. He went with the flow. Their fingertips touching. Her leaning in and kissing his collarbone, lips so soft that they made his nerves spark and muscles shiver, tilting his head back as her tongue traced a thin line upwards, wet heat against his pulse, her hand falling from his hand, tracing his neck.
“Choke me,” he whispered.
Yoongi liked doing things for the sheer curiosity of it.
She sucked on his ear when she choked him and electrified his whole body with lust, his hands finding her hips and slamming them down on his crotch, moaning into her ear shamelessly.
Yoongi knew he got himself into moments like this.
It wasn’t anyone’s fault but his own.
His fingers buried into her wet, warm pussy and he inhaled, drinking in the sweet scent of her juices, in, out, so good, the feeling of power and pleasure at his fingertips, tactile and visceral and intense. Staring into those piercing eyes with one hand around his neck and the other around his hard cock, choking both until he came on her thigh and hip, but not before she came onto his fingers, pushing himself to the brink with his forearm vibrating. Ended up being sore the next day.
Worth it.
Yoongi told himself to do before getting carried away.
He was getting carried away, especially when he was alone.
His shaking breath, breathe in, breathe out, high on the bliss, their lips colliding, covered in each other, salty, sweet, sticky, closer but not, and it was nobody’s fault but his own, because he always thought about saying something, but didn’t.
There wasn’t much to say.
He looked into those eyes, and he didn’t want to say anything. Just wanted to appreciate their shape, their color, the feeling they gave him when he gazed into them, like he could live million lifetimes but recognize those eyes every time. A strange kind of familiarity that didn’t have an explanation. He had known Kim Seokjin for a while, but Seokjin was protective of his female friends, especially his most important one.
So, Yoongi stayed respectful until his brain started getting carried away because his dick wasn’t doing enough.
Well.
He tried.
-
“I gotta ask you something.”
“You can ask me after you press A, you dimwit.”
“I am pressing A. It’s lagging!” Seokjin growled, bopping you on the arm. You continued leaning against his broad shoulder as the Pokémon raid loaded up. “Are you dating Yoongi?”
“Mmm,” was your reply as you pressed the buttons in order. Battle, Swords Dance, on your Ceruledge. Had to get the setup going to do the most damage before your stats become nullified. The raids in Pokémon were meant to convince players to participate in online play, but math and logic could help you solo or duo them quite easily. You needed Seokjin there so you had one less idiot AI. In fact, Seokjin only purchased this generation of Pokémon to help you out in certain things. Raids and completing the Pokédex. He wasn’t as attached to the series as you were. He played so he could understand what you meant when referencing it, but he wasn’t that invested.
He was a good friend.
“Are you or not?”
“Don’t think it’s any of your business,” you responded absentmindedly, reaching over to command his statistically-perfect Arboliva that you gifted him for this very purpose to perform Helping Hand. You might as well have been doing this raid alone. Seokjin was basically simply a spare console accompanied by a warm body.
For now.
Kidding… unless?
Nah, he was too much fun to tease.
“It is my business. You’re my friend, he’s my friend and, if you two are dating, it’ll make the group all weird.”
“Your friend group is already all weird.”
Seokjin prodded you in the head as you selected Bitter Blade for your attack move. “Be serious.”
“Ask him.”
“I did. He said to ask you.”
“Huh.”
Silence.
“… I’ll kill him if he abandons you.”
You couldn’t pause the raid. It was timed and the raid Pokémon had to be defeated in that time, or you would get kicked out. You didn’t say anything. Just kept pressing buttons, turning automatic.
“Well, I won’t kill him. I’ll make Jungkook kill him.”
Reaching over Seokjin, who did nothing to help you. He just held the Switch as you selected the correct moves and thought about who you needed to raise next. Maybe a Gardevoir. You needed more special attackers to avoid Abilities like Cursed Body and the Burn status condition.
Seokjin was suddenly quiet.
“… You think he’d do that?” you finally said, not quite sure what you meant in asking that.
You felt a hand on your head, bringing you closer to broad shoulders and his game.
“I don’t know.”
One thing about Seokjin was that he always told the truth.
-
“Are you getting your dick wet or what?”
Yoongi blinked slowly.
“What?”
“Jimin, you can’t ask that,” Hoseok scolded, whacking Jimin’s chopsticks with his own to punish the younger male because the walking sunshine was too pure-hearted to physically strike Jimin. “Eat your food.”
Jimin thinned his plump lips and gave Yoongi the side eye instead of eating his meal like Hoseok told him to. “I think you are. I feel it.”
Yoongi made the executive decision to ignore Jimin and continue serving himself the soup, adding plenty of vegetables. “Hoseok, haven’t you been working a lot lately? You need to eat more meat. You’re getting too thin.”
“You sound like my parents, hyung,” Hoseok laughed jovially as Yoongi added extra slices of marinated beef onto his plate. “Thanks, thanks.”
“Don’t avoid the question,” Jimin continued, buzzing away like a determined bee.
“I get it wet every day. It’s called a shower.”
“You know what I mean.”
“And I answered you.”
Jimin squinted under his fluffy auburn locks. “You’re sussy.”
“Huh?” Hoseok blinked rapidly, cocking his head. “Sussy?”
“Suspicious. Taehyung taught me.”
Hoseok’s lips curled into a round ‘o’, seemingly filing away this new lingo. “Man, sometimes I feel so old around you and Taehyung even though I’m only a year older.” The bustling restaurant complimented his cheerful voice, warm smells and fragrant conversation mixing with the clinking of plates and glasses. He reached over the table, patting Yoongi on the shoulder. “I’m glad you’re talking to someone though. I thought you were going to die alone.”
Those cat-like eyes shifted away.
“… Thanks.”
Nothing more.
“Uh oh, there’s trouble in paradise already.”
“Is something wrong?” Hoseok asked, frowning slightly at the older male’s reaction.
Yoongi sighed, and shook his head.
“It’s nothing. There’s not much to say about it.”
Hoseok caught on right away, nodding intently. “Right! Speaking of, Jimin, I heard you are leading a theater production all on your own.”
“A-Ah, just the choreography for the songs…” A small hand attempted to wave away Hoseok’s sudden unwavering excitement. “Really, it’s not that serious…”
“Yes, it is! A musical! With weeks and weeks of shows…!”
Yoongi avoided looking at his phone all night. He kept his eyes forward and focused on the conversation with his friends. If he didn’t, he would be stuck in his thoughts, wondering what all those nights really meant if all he had now was silence and a loveholic’s hangover he didn’t ask for.
-
“Oh, shit.”
Those were the first words you had spoken to a real, physical, in-the-flesh human being in a long time (Seokjin didn’t count). First words you had spoken all day, actually. Wait. Maybe you exclaimed out loud, you little fucker, get in the damn ball, earlier. Highly probable. No need to censor yourself when you were at home.
“You have left me on read for two weeks.”
“Oh… shit.”
After the shock had set in, the cold suddenly became apparent. It was winter, after all. Extra obvious by the snow on the ground and the big black parka the person outside your door was wearing, although the red flush around his neck and cheekbones was not from the icy breeze.
“Two weeks,” the man at your front door repeated with a growl, and he started advancing which, in most cases, would be a sign to call the police.
“Surely,” you sputtered, fumbling with your phone in your other hand, letting go of the knob because the screen was tab after open tab of various Pokédex entries of the Pokémon you were considering spending your previous in-game money on to make statistically perfect. Ahem, anyway, you hurriedly changed apps to your Messages app, your eyes widening as you saw the dates of your last messages.
Oh shit.
“Actually, it’s only been twelve days–”
“Twelve days of nothing,” he snapped, slamming closed your front door that you were honestly slightly grateful for. It was fuckin’ cold out there. “And what do I hear tonight? Just yesterday you were speaking to Jeon Jungkook on the phone.”
And, at this point, Min Yoongi got in your face.
You held your phone close to your purple sherpa pullover and stepped back as a stern, gracefully annoyed expression confronted you. Wild long black hair, furrowed eyebrows, and flashing dark eyes. Flushed pink lips twisted into irritation. Open jacket revealing his black sweater and light blue jeans, strange for such a cold night.
“Have you been drinking?” you observed, catching a whiff of his exhale.
“I’m not drunk,” Yoongi countered, backing up and scowling. “I was at Namjoon’s and then I remembered you lived nearby. So, I walked.”
“You… walked?”
“Yeah.”
You blinked slowly.
“Kim Namjoon… if you’re walking… that’s about an hour away….”
The scowl straightened out, leaving a stoic profile as Yoongi refused to look at you.
He grunted.
You were surprised.
“I… Jeon Jungkook called me.” You felt the sudden urge to fill the space of silence as the man before you kept his gaze at a firm ninety-degrees to the wall despite your face being right there. “He was worried about Seokjin, because he kept trying to call him. Seokjin had sent him a box of grapes from his uncle’s farm and Jungkook was trying to thank him via call because his mom told him he couldn’t simply text, but Seokjin wasn’t answering the calls and then Jungkook got worried so he called me since I have Seokjin’s family number but then I reminded Jungkook that that rich guy and his family went to a luxurious mountain resort to go skiing and wouldn’t be back until next weekend,” you finished in a jumbled mess of oversharing.
Silence.
You were highly aware that your Nintendo Switch was loudly playing the classic, cheery jingle of the Pokémon Center in your bedroom, echoing the bright notes throughout your apartment as, er, your possibly-soon-to-be-past fling? current interest? situation-ship? continued staring at the wall as if the paint was the one speaking to him.
To reiterate, you were surprised.
“I… I didn’t think you cared,” you explained, looking up at Yoongi.
He turned his head.
Looking down, black hair around his cheeks. Lashes lifting, slow motion, dark brown orbs raising, then the darkness was on you, and there was no anger, no malice, the heated air of his rash imposition fizzling out once your eyes connected.
His lips parted.
Nothing came out, as if he was about to say something emotional but then stopped himself. His brows knitted together, a moment of recollection, and then.
“Namjoon said I should be honest, so I’m here to tell you that you pissed me off by ignoring me,” he mumbled.
You blinked. Slowly, once again.
“O… Oh. I apologize.”
Silence except heartbeats.
Yoongi looked away.
You could piece the entire picture together now. Your eyes shifted, side to side, to his hands shoved in his jacket pockets, to the faint tint of pink around his ears and neck, to his relaxed shoulders and that tense heart, and you were surprised because Yoongi had always held himself with a devil-may-care attitude and straightforward bluntness. Not that you didn’t think there was more, but rather it seemed as if he didn’t want to address that under any circumstances and you had no need for more when you were your own happiness, and so you asked him another question.
“Is this you or the alcohol talking?”
Yoongi clicked his tongue and frowned, flickering glare meeting you. “Alcohol doesn’t make you a different person. I’m not someone else just because I had a few bottles with Namjoon. I have a high tolerance anyway.”
You smiled.
“I know. Wanted to make sure you were thinking the same thing I was.”
That was why Yoongi and you ended up in this situation. Because he seemed to always end up thinking the same thing you were. There wasn’t much discussion or mystery. There was you and there was him in the same place at the same time. Multiple times. Overlapping interests, but not all the same. Kept things interesting. Discovering you had the same core values and then the same kind of comfortable silence that turned into his hand on yours, experimental, are you thinking what I’m thinking, bodies closer, breath mixing, heads tilting, is it this?
Playing the game.
The Pokémon Center music faded out and then picked up again, always aggressively joyous, always ready to nurse your team back to full health.
You rubbed the back of your head sheepishly. “Hah… I’ve just… been playing the new Pokémon game came out recently, so I took time off to play it… thought I said…”
“You did say,” he interrupted.
Awkward pause.
“You did say,” and this time Yoongi sighed, suddenly smacking his palm into his forehead and rubbing it, mussing up his own hair. “You did say, and I believe everyone should enjoy something with the kind of passion you exhibit for your interests. I just wanted you to involve me even though I know nothing.”
You stared at him.
“What?”
“You heard me.”
“Why would I involve you in something you don’t care about?”
“I don’t care about it yet.”
“Why would you care about it?”
He flung his hand away from his face and scowled. “Are you an idiot?”
“Depends, are you confessing?”
Again, no one ever called you subtle.
Frigid embarrassment, and it wasn’t from you. Shocking. Suddenly your wall became irresistible to Yoongi’s eyeballs once more. You patiently waited.
“… No.”
“Ah. I see.”
You did see, straight through his bullshit.
Yoongi pursed his lips and gave you the side-eye. “I don’t want to play games.”
You shrugged. “Well, I do, because I’m a nerd, and I could make you a nerd too if you take off your shoes and come to the bedroom.” Chewed on your lip and felt that you should go back to being serious, at least for a moment. “I am sorry. I thought you would call me a kid, and I like you enough to not want you to be so ignorant, so I especially avoided speaking much about playing Pokémon. Honestly, I would rather hear you say that you don’t want to see me anymore than hear you talk shit about my cute pocket monster friends.”
Yoongi surprised you again.
He rolled his eyes.
“I don’t hate Pokémon. I used to watch the animation as a kid. I somewhat regret not being more into it, because then maybe you would have let me in a lot more if we had that common interest.”
You cocked an eyebrow.
“Putting your dick in my pussy is not letting you in a lot more?”
He raised an eyebrow back.
“You’re right. That was the alcohol talking,” he replied in a deadpan voice.
You smiled.
He smiled back. It did not seem like he wanted to and it did not seem like he could help himself either. What a predicament. You couldn’t relate.
“Do people like to tell you you’re difficult?” you asked with too much glee, unable to hide your amusement any longer.
The corner of his lips twitched. “All the fuckin’ time.”
You nodded knowingly. “Did you know we have that in common?”
He ticked his head at you, messy black hair over his cheeks and open-mouthed smirk. “Strangely enough, I seem to have learned that tonight.”
“I’m about to teach you a lot more, this time about Pokémon and not about how deep I can throat dick.”
“Consider giving me a supplemental lesson about the latter in the morning when I’m completely sober.”
“Hmm, I accept if can you listen without falling asleep.”
Yoongi eventually did fall asleep, but he did last three hours and retained most of the information in the morning despite being a drunk, ahem, not drunk (according to him) man confessing his feelings at your doorstep. In the future, once he had purchased his own game and was playing alongside you, he would insist that moment was not the one when he confessed, that he definitely confessed later (sober, mind you), and that he definitely did not purchase a Nintendo Switch and start studying the Pokédex more because of you (he had simply found the game a good way to wind down).
Games were just more fun to play now when he had a player two.
Yeah.
We know better.

Scared of Love (in a coffee shop)
Tumblr media
Pairing: ot7, ot6 x jungkook
Details: jungkook centric, a/b/o dynamics, coffee shop au, soulmates au
Summary: Jungkook explains some things to the pack.Warnings: implied mpreg (not jk), attempted assault
Masterlist
‘I’m nervous,’ he admitted to Hoseok over text. Namjoon might be the pack’s leader, but Hoseok was his right hand man. Hoseok was aware of everything that went on in the pack—could analyze and problem solve before Namjoon had to step in.
‘Me too,’ Hoseok texted back after a moment. ‘We’ll figure this out together. I’m hopeful this will all work out.’
After playing at the playground for a while, they headed to the ice cream shop.
Jungkook saw the pack standing out front. Hoseok and Namjoon were arguing playfully about mint chocolate.
“Personally, I like it,” he cut in.
“Traitor,” Namjoon muttered, pouting in exaggeration. Jimin pinched his cheek. Hoseok giggled.
“I’ve got Kookie on my side, which means I win.”
“But I don’t like it,” Seoyeon said. Taehyung grinned.
“Ha!” Namjoon gave Hoseok a superior look. “The baby is on my side, which means I win.” Seokjin nodded seriously.
“I’m not a baby,” Seoyeon said, laughing a bit. “I’m Seoyeon Jeon!”
“This is my niece and my brother Junghyun, her father,” Jungkook introduced them. “Hyung, this is Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Namjoon, Jimin, and Taehyung.”
“Pleased to meet you.” Yoongi bowed slightly.
“No need to be so formal, I’m Taehyung and Jimin’s age, I believe.”
Jimin’s eyes widened. “We’re the same age…?” He glanced at Seoyeon. Jungkook frowned. Junghyun smiled.
“I had Seoyeon when I was still young,” he told them.
“Ah, then call me hyung,” Yoongi said easily.
“Shall we order?” Namjoon suggested. Hoesok nodded.
“I spot a table, I’ll go save it for us.”
Inside, Jungkook picked Seoyeon up so she could see all the flavors. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Jimin bowing to Junghyun. Junghyun waved his hand dismissively.
Seoyeon tugged on Jungkook’s arm. “I wanna try the banana.”
“It’s banana rum, sweetheart, you can’t have that,” Jungkook told her apologetically. She frowned.
“What about strawberry?” Taehyung said. “Do you like strawberry? It’s my favorite.”
“Strawberry is pretty good,” Seoyeon acknowledged.
“Let’s try some,” Taehyung encouraged her.
They filed out clutching cups and cones. Hoseok waved them over to his table. They tried each others flavors, disagreeing cheerfully over which was the best.
As the ice cream dwindled, Seoyeon told them about her best friend, who wanted to be a ballerina. Jimin got up from the table to show off a few positions. Jungkook oohed and awed with the rest of them, Seoyeon clapping loudly. Yoongi rolled his eyes, but there was an undeniably proud look on his face.
Seoyeon jumped up to try and copy him.
“Uh-oh,” Junghyun said. “We’ve got a sugar high coming up, don’t we?”
“Should we had back to the playground for a bit?” Jungkook suggested. He looked at the others. “If you don’t mind. I know we still haven’t talked but—“
“Playground sounds great,” Taehyung said.
At the playground, they all ran around with Seoyeon. She orchestrated a game of tag, obviously aware that they were letting her win, but not complaining in the slightest.
When Seoyeon tripped and fell on some dead leaves, Junghyun was immediately at her side with a bottle of water to rinse off the scrape on her knee.
Namjoon held out a box of Pokemon band aids. Seoyeon focused so hard on selecting one that she stopped crying.
They went to rest on some benches.
“You feeling better, little one?” Jungkook asked her.
“Samchon…” Seoyeon let out a big yawn.
“Do you need to go home for a nap?” Taehyung asked gently.
“I have something I want to tell you about before we part ways,” Junghyun said.
“Samchon, pick me up?” Seoyeon suggested.
“Of course,” Jungkook agreed easily. He gathered her into his arms. She tucked her chin over his shoulder. A few minutes later, Junghyun leaned over to look at her face.
“She’s asleep already?” Jimin asked quietly. Junghyun nodded. “Wow.”
Junghyun smiled. “That’s my sweet girl, always the best at sleeping, as long as she has something or someone to hold on to.”
Jimin covered his mouth as laughter bubbled up. “Tae’s the same way.”
“What did you want to tell us about, Junghyun-ssi?” Yoongi prompted.
“Our parents died when I was nineteen,” Junghyun told them. Jimin and Hoseok gasped. Namjoon gazed at them sadly.
“It’s okay,” Jungkook said, keeping his voice low so he didn’t wake Seoyeon. She was a heavy sleeper, but, still. “Hyung took care of me.”
“For a couple of years,” Junghyun said. “And then I met this guy.” He sighed. “He was my Fated Mate, and, I thought, the answer to all my prayers. You see, Jungkook said it was fine, and I did my best, but really, we were struggling financially. We still are. I worked two jobs at that point. My Fated Mate told me those days were over. He would help take care of me and Jungkook. But he was lying.”
“He didn’t really like me,” Jungkook said, stroking Seoyeon’s back. “I think he wanted hyung all to himself. He didn’t like that a kid was hanging around them all the time.”
“That’s stupid,” Taehyung said. “Children are blessings.”
“He didn’t think like that,” Junghyun said. “So it only got worse when we found out I was pregnant. He left. I haven’t heard from him since.”
“That’s horrible!” Hoseok said. Junghyun shrugged.
“He didn’t like children. In some ways it’s better he left than sticking around pretending to be the father he wasn’t.”
“But she was his child too,” Yoongi pointed out. “At the very least he should pay child support.”
“Did he?” Namjoon asked Junghyun. Junghyun shook his head.
“He had plenty of money too,” Jungkook grumbled. “He just didn’t think we were worth spending it on.”
“So, you see, my situation left Kookie with a lot of doubt in the soulmate system,” Junghyun continued.
“…I understand,” Jimin said. He turned to Jungkook. “I understand if that makes you wary of us.”
“You’re good people,” Jungkook said. “I know that. But, it was still scary to find out that you were my Fated Mates.”
“I’d love to hear how you feel about it in your own words,” Namjoon said, gazing into Jungkook’s eyes. Jungkook squirmed a little. There was a familiar feeling dancing his stomach, something between nerves and excitement.
“Hyung was always so cool to me,” he muttered. Junghyun grinned.
“What’s that? Want to say it a little louder?”
“Shut up,” Jungkook grumbled. Junghyun laughed. Then he stiffened.
“Whew, she’s still asleep. Continue, Jungkook.”
“Ah, well, I always thought Junghyun was so cool, so he deserved the best Fated Mate. Meanwhile, I majored in Fine Arts, which felt like a useless degree—I couldn’t even manage to get a proper job after school.”
“Jungkook.” Junghyun frowned. Jungkook took a deep breath.
“If someone as cool as hyung couldn’t get the perfect Fated Mate, then how could I luck out and get you guys? You guys are already the perfect pack, you don’t need me. I’ll only bring you down.”
“Ridiculous,” Taehyung muttered. “Sure, your brother is cool, but don’t you know how awesome you are yourself?” Jungkook shook his head.
“Tae’s right,” Jimin said. “So, you have some insecurities, I get that. I doubt myself a lot too. But I want to tell you that my mates are always talking about you. The look in their eyes is warm and fond, and their words are sweet. I want to get to know you better. Yes, we are a good pack without you, but with you we could shine even brighter, I know it.”
“Maybe,” Jungkook said. “If we weren’t Fated Mates…”
“We can’t ignore the fact that we’re Fated Mates,” Namjoon said. “Even if we never touch skin to skin again, we can’t turn back time and forget what happened. But, I do want you to know, we already liked you very much before we knew you were our Fated Mate.”
“And our feelings haven’t changed,” Hoseok added. “We missed you a lot when you left.”
“I keep turning to tell you something and you aren’t there,” Seokjin said.
“Hearing about what happened to Junghyun, I understand if you’d want nothing to do with us,” Yoongi said. “But please understand that we would do our best to treat you with all the love and kindness you deserve.”
“Which is infinite,” Taehyung added. “You deserve infinite love and kindness, more than we could ever give you, but we would still try our best.”
“Please say you’ll give us a chance,” Jimin said.
“I still want you in my life,” Jungkook said. “Seeing you playing with Seoyeon today solidified that for me. But…I’m not sure whether I want to be just friends or…”
“That’s fine,” Yoongi said. “You don’t have to figure that out right away. We’re happy to wait.”
“Maybe you could start by coming back to work?” Seokjin suggested.
Jungkook bit his lip. “About that… I loved working in the cafe, but…” He told them about The Blue Parrot.
“That sounds like an amazing opportunity,” Jimin said. “You should take it.”
“But, I don’t want to leave you with fewer employees than you need,” Jungkook said. “Maybe I should come back to work, just for now…”
The solution came a few days later when he received a text from Minho, asking how he was doing.
‘I don’t know much about Fated Mates, but it’s good you got away from here when you could,’ Minho told him once Jungkook filled him in on the basics. Minho explained to him that their boss had gotten arrested by the government for tax fraud, so the bar would be closing. Having an idea, Jungkook asking Minho if he had any barista experience.
A few weeks later, Jungkook was at the Blue Parrot. He hadn’t actually tattooed anyone’s skin yet, but he was getting plenty of practice on the fake skin Chaeyeon provided him with. And he was drawing more than ever. He was hoping Jimin’s moon tattoo would be his first real experience. Jimin said he was willing to wait until Jungkook was ready for him.
Months later, Jimin showed off his new tattoo. Hoseok threw a party to celebrate. Jiwoo brought her potential mates with her. Jungkook was wearing his favorite jacket, the tear mended by Yoongi’s colorful embroidery floss. It was the first courting gift Jungkook had accepted.
“Looks good on you, baby,” Namjoon said, kissing his cheek.
“You’re beautiful,” Yoongi agreed.
“Not as pretty as Jimin,” Jungkook said dismissively.
“Shut up, we both look great,” Jimin retorted.
“Our omegas are the best,” Taehyung said, kissing each of them on the head. Yoongi flushed and swatted at him. Jungkook thought he looked good all pink. He wanted to think up new ways to make Yoongi blush next week during their first heat together. Jimin grinned. Jungkook opened his mouth.
“Don’t argue,” Seokjin said, placing a cookie between his lips. Jungkook took the cookie and chewed.
He swallowed. “Fine, but Hoseokie-hyung is the best beta, for putting this all together.” Jungkook had never felt so comfortable at a party before.
“Hear, hear!” Taehyung raised his glass.
“Thank you, little love,” Hoseok pulled Jungkook into a hug. “It’s nice to have my hard work recognized.” He ran his hands up and down Jungkook’s bare arms. Jungkook shivered as pleasant sparks rang and down his skin.

Chapter 10
The walk to the studio is quick, but your mind races with thoughts of how the photoshoot might go. By the time you arrive, a few of the other trainers are already there, waiting outside. You recognize a couple of them, students you’ve seen in passing or battled before. They eye you and Yoongi with quiet recognition, and you can feel the silent rivalry brewing already. The next few months are going to be a lot of that.
A staff member ushers everyone inside, where the studio is set up with bright lights and backdrops. The atmosphere is buzzing with energy, but there’s an underlying tension. These aren’t just your peers anymore, these are the competitors you’ll have to defeat.
Professor Oak is standing in front of the backdrop waiting for all sixteen trainers to arrive. Once everyone is standing shoulder to shoulder he claps his hands together with an excited smile.
“Congratulations to all of you for making it this far. The sixteen of you have been selected as Paldea University’s top trainers.” Gasps sound around you as Professor Oak speaks. He knew this was going to happen and he looks oh so pleased with himself. “I’m going to call your names, please step forward. Get acquainted with each other or don’t…the people around you are your competition.”
Yoongi crosses his arms over his chest as Professor Oak begins calling names. “YN,” You step forward letting everyone look at you for a moment before you step back into line next to Yoongi. “Yoongi Min, Hiyyih Huening, Yunjin Huh, Jungkook Jeon, Chaewon Kim, Seungkwan Boo, Sana Minatozaki, Jihyo Park, Hajoon Lee, Jongho Choi, Junhui Wen, Soonyoung Kwon.” You look down the line to see who Soonyoung is because you swear you have never heard that name before. Everyone in this room should be familiar because you are in the same program. A third year student steps forward, one you have met several times. No one has ever called him by his given name before. Everyone calls him Hoshi.
“Jihoon Lee,” Again you look down the line and see another older student that has been nicknamed Woozi. “Mingyu Kim, and finally Taehyung Kim.”
The room is silent as the final name echoes around the studio. You glance over at Taehyung’s familiar face and see he has an air of confidence. He steps forward with a small, unreadable smile, as if he knows something the rest of you don’t.
With everyone standing shoulder to shoulder, Professor Oak clears his throat. “This year, we’re starting something new.” His eyes gleam with excitement. “We’re going to commemorate the top sixteen trainers with a photoshoot, something I hope becomes a tradition here at Paldea University.”
Murmurs ripple through the group, this is unprecedented. It’s clear from the surprise on some faces that no one expected this twist. You are glad you were warned ahead of time.
Professor Oak continues, “These photos will not only mark your journey but also remind future trainers of the level of competition they’ll need to rise to. You’re the first class to be honored this way, and I hope to see this tradition continue long after you’ve graduated.”
He gestures to the photographers. “Let’s get started. Individual shots first, followed by a group photo.”
You hear your name called and step forward, the reality of the moment sinking in. This is no casual photoshoot, it’s a declaration. Someone standing near the camera hands you a shirt similar to a soccer jersey. It's a deep green color with stripes of white on the side. On the front it says ‘Winter Tournament 20XX’ and on the back is your last name. After putting on the shirt the flash of the camera captures you in a moment of confidence, though your mind races with thoughts of the battles to come. This photo will represent the start of something that will likely outlast your time at Paldea, whether as a champion or a competitor. They take a second set of photos in your Oak’s club jacket.
Yoongi steps forward next, his gaze unwavering as the lights capture his cool demeanor. His competitive edge is palpable, but you can’t shake the feeling that there’s something more in his expression when he glances your way. Does he have to do this right now?
As the photoshoot progresses, the tension builds. This isn’t just about recognition—it’s a reminder that every face in this room will soon be your direct competition. With only six weeks until the tournament, every moment counts. You are sandwiched between Hiyyih and Jungkook in the group photo and you wonder if this has anything to do with how Professor Oak thinks you might rank.
After the shoot, Professor Oak addresses the group once more. “This is the beginning. The competition is real, and the stakes are high. But remember, only two of you will get the honor of facing the gym leaders. And not a word of this until Friday!!”
════════════ ∘◦❀◦∘ ════════════
Until Friday you keep mostly to yourself, determined not to let anything about making the top sixteen slip. This makes it easier for you to spend countless hours training without interruption. It’s harder than you imagined to keep the secret but also the way everything seems to be shifting around you. The quiet rivalry with Yoongi is coming back, even though it’s unspoken. Hiyyih is helping keep you grounded, though you both feel the weight of what’s ahead.
Every conversation with Namjoon this week has felt strained. You know it’s because of the tournament, you can’t tell him about making the top sixteen, not yet. The rules are strict, and the last thing you want is to risk disqualification or whatever Professor Oak would do.
Still, Namjoon seems rightfully confused, maybe even hurt. Every time you avoid a hangout or cut a conversation short, you can see the question in his eyes, though he doesn’t say anything.
By the time Friday afternoon rolls around, you’re feeling the weight of both the secret and your silence. The announcement about the winter tournament is set for 7PM, where the entire school will find out about the top sixteen trainers on the new battlefields and stands prepared just for this tournament. The excitement is palpable across campus, and it’s becoming harder to stay out of the buzz.
Just hours before the big announcement, Namjoon finally pulls you aside. His face is serious, eyes filled with concern as he corners you just outside one of the training grounds.
“Can we talk for a minute?” he asks, his voice slow, but steady.
You hesitate but nod, stepping away from the main path where others might overhear.
He shifts uncomfortably, running a hand through his hair before meeting your eyes. "Look, I’ve noticed you’ve been...distant lately. Ever since I told you how I feel." He pauses, the tension heavy between you. “If I made you uncomfortable by confessing, I’m really sorry. I don’t want you to be burdened by or feel responsible for my feelings. I don’t want to lose our friendship because of it. But if it’s not that—if something else is going on—just tell me. Please.”
You feel your heart twist at his words. Namjoon’s vulnerability hits hard, and you hate that you’ve put him in this position. You want to reassure him, to tell him that it’s not what he thinks, but the words stick in your throat. The top sixteen is still a secret, and you can’t break that promise—not even for him.
You take a deep breath, shaking your head gently. "Namjoon, it’s not about that. You didn’t make me uncomfortable, I promise." You try to offer him a small, reassuring smile. "There’s just... a lot going on right now that I can’t talk about. But it’s not what you’re thinking."
He frowns, clearly not satisfied with your vague explanation. "If it’s not that, then what? You can tell me anything, you know that, right?"
You want to tell him. You want to explain everything, but the words don’t come. You’re locked into this secret until 7 PM. You put a hand on his bicep giving it a light squeeze.
"I’m sorry, Namjoon. I really can’t explain right now, but I need you to trust me."
He sighs, looking down at his feet for a moment before nodding. "Okay...I trust you. But please, don’t shut me out." His voice softens, and you can see the worry etched in his features. "We’re still friends, right?"
"Of course," you answer quickly, and this time the smile you give him is genuine. "Always."
Namjoon steps back, giving you a small, tentative smile in return. "Alright. I guess I’ll see you at the announcement then."
As he walks away, you feel a mixture of relief and guilt. You know everything will come out soon enough, but until then, the weight of the secret keeps pressing down on you.
By 7 PM, the entire school gathers in the newly constructed Pokémon battlefields for the highly anticipated winter tournament. The atmosphere is electric as students fill the stands, their eyes glued to the large screens surrounding the pristine battlefield. Everyone is eager to learn who the top sixteen trainers are, the ones who will represent Paldea University in this year's tournament. The top sixteen are standing just out of view from most of the spectors.
Professor Oak strides to the center of the battlefield, his excitement evident in his broad smile. "Good evening, everyone!" His voice echoes across the arena, silencing the murmurs of the crowd. "Welcome to the winter tournament announcement, the first in our brand-new battlefields."
He pauses to gesture around at the expansive space, the shimmering lights reflecting off the smooth surfaces. "This year, we're unveiling not only the battle grounds but also the rankings of the top sixteen trainers, as determined by the evaluations of your professors. These rankings represent not only your battle abilities but also your growth, strategy, and potential as trainers."
The anticipation builds as Professor Oak continues, his voice commanding the attention of everyone in the room. You were not expecting this. He didn’t say anything about this. He always has another trick up his sleeve. You look to the side and see each of your competitors' faces filled with just as much confusion as yours.  "Let’s get started, shall we? I’ll introduce the top sixteen trainers, ranked according to the recommendations of your professors."
The large screens come to life, displaying the names of the top sixteen trainers. Your heart races as you wait for your name to be called. The energy in the air is palpable, and every trainer standing nearby is on edge.
"Hiyyih Huening, ranked first."
The crowd erupts in surprise and applause as Hiyyih steps forward, her expression a mixture of pride and determination. You can see the fire in her eyes as she takes her place as the top-ranked trainer. She shoots you a confident smile, clearly ready for the challenge ahead. Hiyyih has earned this title, even if she won’t keep it for long.
"Jungkook Jeon, ranked second."
Jungkook steps forward, his name appearing on the screen in bold letters. The crowd murmurs in approval—Jungkook is known for his skill, and seeing him ranked this high is no surprise to anyone.
"YN, ranked third."
Your name echoes through the battlefield, and you step forward, feeling the weight of everyone’s gaze on you. The murmurs grow louder as people realize just how high you’ve been ranked. You steal a glance at Namjoon across the battlefield, catching the surprise on his face. There’s no turning back now.
Professor Oak continues calling out names, and the tension only rises with each ranking.
"Yoongi Min, ranked fourth."
Yoongi steps forward, his usual calm expression giving little away, though you know the competitive fire burns beneath the surface. He glances at you, a subtle acknowledgment of the challenge ahead.
"Jongho Choi, ranked fifth."
Jongho steps forward, his face unreadable but his stance radiating confidence. His presence in the top five causes another ripple of murmurs through the crowd.
"Taehyung Kim, ranked sixth."
"Hoshi Kwon, ranked seventh."
"Jihyo Park, ranked eighth."
The names continue, and the crowd grows louder with each reveal. You feel a sense of relief as you watch your friends take their places on the battlefield, knowing that the competition is going to be fierce.
Finally, Professor Oak reaches the end of the list.
"And rounding out the top sixteen, Yunjin Huh, ranked sixteenth."
She is going to be giving you an earful for sure. You aren’t sure you agree with Yunjin being last, but then again someone has to be last. Being selected at all means she has shown exceptional excellence. Though sometimes she does let her emotions rule her decisions. Several times you have watched her get flustered when it was obvious she was losing. It only made her performance worse.
With all the names called, Professor Oak smiles at the assembled trainers. "These rankings are just the beginning. Over the next six weeks we will tell you who the first round of competitors will be facing off against and over the course of this tournament, you’ll all have the chance to prove your skills. Remember, no ranking is final—the battles ahead will decide who truly stands at the top."
The crowd erupts in applause, excitement buzzing in the air as the tournament officially kicks off. You barely register the cheers, your mind racing with the weight of what’s ahead. You are swarmed by your friends, most of whom are now also your competitors.
“We are going to get drinks at Brock’s!” Jimin says, his arm proudly wrapped around Taehyung’s shoulder. “See you there.”
Jimin, Taehyung, Yunjin, Hiyyih, Yoongi and Chaewon walk off towards the many steps leading into town. They are practically bouncing with their excitement. Namjoon appears beside you with a proud smile playing on his lips.
Namjoon meets your eyes, his familiar smile back in place but tinged with relief. “I knew it,” he says, his voice warm with pride. “I knew you were going to be selected. Congratulations, YN.”
You smile back, your pulse still racing from the reveal to the entire school. “Thanks,” you say, feeling your shoulders loosen as the weight of keeping the secret lifts.
Namjoon shifts, glancing down for a moment before meeting your gaze again. “I’m sorry for acting weird earlier,” he admits softly, his voice filled with honesty. “I guess I’ve just been overthinking. After I told you how I feel, I’ve been more…vulnerable, I guess? And with you being distant this week, it made me jump to conclusions that I messed up or pushed you away.”
Your heart clenches at his words. You’ve been so wrapped up in the tournament, so focused on keeping the secret, that you didn’t realize how much you were unintentionally shutting him out.
You open your mouth to respond, to maybe tell him something about your own feelings, but the words stall in your throat. Instead, you shift the conversation, your curiosity getting the best of you.
“When did you want to tell me? You know, before you kind of…blurted it out.”
Namjoon chuckles softly, his shoulders relaxing a little.
“Honestly? I didn’t have a set moment. I thought maybe after the tournament, once everything calmed down. Then I was thinking two or three weeks from now so you would have time to process it before the tournament starts. But then, I felt like if I didn’t say it then, I’d never get another chance. So it just sort of came out.”
You laugh lightly. “I’m glad you told me. Now come on, let’s catch up with the rest of them.”
Namjoon and you walk together toward Brock’s, the bar that everyone is heading to after the announcement. As you near the bar, the sound of laughter and conversation spills out onto the street, along with the soft strumming of live acoustic music playing from inside. The warm glow of the neon sign above the door reads “Brock’s Tavern” in large, bold letters, and you can already tell the place is packed with students celebrating the reveal of the winter tournament rankings.
Stepping inside, the atmosphere is electric. The lights are low, casting everything in a soft, golden hue. Strings of fairy lights hand across the ceiling, and the brick walls are adorned with pictures of famous trainer battles. The bar itself is polished wood, lined with stools, most of them already taken. People are standing around the high tables and booths, talking animatedly, clinking glasses, and toasting to the upcoming battles.
The scent of fire snacks, pizza, and fresh drinks fills the air, making your mouth water. The place hums with excitement, and it feels like everyone here is celebrating something. Over by the bar, Jimin is laughing loudly, clearly in his element, with Taehyung and Hiyyih engaged in a competitive arm wrestling match, drawing many cheers from those around them.
You and Namjoon make your way through the crowd joining your friends. Hiyyih hands you a drink and you gladly accept. She’s beaming with pride and you can’t help but think she deserves this ranking.
After a while you slip away the group finding yourself drifting towards Yoongi, who is casually against the back wall, sipping a drink. His expression is calm, but his eyes are alert, quietly taking everything in. You notice Yunjin seated nearby, just out of earshot, but her usual lively energy is missing. She’s nursing a drink, her eyes downcast, and you can’t help but wonder if her low ranking is weighing on her more than she’d like to admit. “Third place, huh? Not bad,” he says, his voice low and calm, but there’s a competitive edge to his words.
“Fourth’s not too shabby either,” you reply, matching his tone.
For a moment the two of you remain silent. You can tell he’s holding back from asking something, waiting for you to speak first. “So,” Yoongi finally breaks the silence, his voice low, teasing. “Did you have that little chat with Namjoon?”
You turn, your back stiffening at the question. When did he suddenly go back to rude Yoongi? He’s been oddly nice recently, decent even. Maybe it’s because of the time you’ve spent together in bed but still. Now right after the rankings come out, he’s suddenly cold again. You roll your eyes but don’t meet his gaze. You can’t let him know how confusing this feels right now.
“Why do you care?” you ask with a little more venom than necessary.
He takes a step towards you, his lips curling into that smirk that you both hate and can’t help but notice. It’s a look you’ve seen hundreds of times before, one that pulls you in and drives you mad all at once. Maybe he’s acting this way because he’s had a few too many to drink? “Oh, I don’t know…thought maybe you’d want to share how that went. What’d he say? Something sweet?” His voice drops, mocking, as if he’s already heard every word of the conversation and is just toying with you now.
Your fingers twitch at your side, irritation bubbling up as you finally meet his eyes. His expression is unreadable like he’s trying to gauge your reaction. Or maybe...maybe he’s angry? Upset that you ranked third and he ranked fourth. The idea tugs at your mind, but you brush it aside for now. “Yeah we talked.” you snap back. “What’s it to you?”
Yoongi hums, coming ever closer. Too close. His smirk widens as he peers down at you, eyes dark with that lazy intensity that never fails to make your pulse race. “Just wondering if he gave you everything you needed,” he murmurs, his voice soft, almost intimate. “Or if you’re still looking for something else.”
The words hang in the air, thick with implication, and your heart races, caught off guard by the shift in his tone. Is he jealous? Upset that you ranked higher? Or was this just Yoongi being Yoongi, pushing your buttons like he always does? The thought nags at you, but you force yourself to stay composed.
You step back slightly, lifting your chin with a forced smirk. “You think that’s any of your business?”
Yoongi’s grin widens, his dark eyes locked onto yours as he steps even closer, crowding your space. “I think it’s very much my business. You always come back, don’t you?”
His words hit deeper than you’d like to admit, the truth behind them cutting through your defenses. You always end up here, tangled in whatever this thing is between you two. It’s not soft or simple, it’s sharp, messy, and it pulls you in every time.
Your jaw clenches as you try to stand your ground. “You think too highly of yourself.”
He chuckles, the sound low and knowing, his hand reaching out to brush a strand of hair away from your face. His touch is light but deliberate, sending a shiver down your spine. “Maybe. But we both know how this goes.”
Your breath catches at his touch, but you force yourself to stay firm, even though your heart is pounding in your chest. “I’m not playing your games, Yoongi.”
His smirk deepens, turning darker, more dangerous. He leans in, his lips just brushing past your ear, and his voice drops to a whisper. “Who said anything about games?”
The words send a jolt through you, and you curse yourself for letting him get this close again. You know you should push him away, but instead, you’re stuck—frozen in the electric pull between you two, your body betraying you.
Yoongi pulls back just enough to meet your eyes, his expression unreadable. “You can pretend all you want, but I know you better than anyone.”
Your fists clench at your sides, frustration and something else—something dangerous—bubbling inside you. He always knows how to push your buttons, how to cut through your walls with just a look or a touch. And as much as you hate it, part of you knows he’s right.
“Yoongi—” you start, but your voice comes out sharper than you meant it to, and he cuts you off before you can finish.
“I’m free tonight,” he says, his voice dipping lower, more intimate. “In case you get… lonely.” His eyes flicker down to your lips and then back up, locking onto yours with a look that makes your breath catch.
The air between you feels thick, heavy with unsaid words and unspoken tension. For a second, you’re tempted. You can still feel the ghost of his touch, and part of you wants to fall back into it. But you can’t, you won’t.
“You wish,” you shoot back, defiant.
Yoongi’s smirk only deepens, his eyes gleaming with amusement. “Maybe. But I won’t be the one wishing later.”
There’s a long, charged silence between you, the tension crackling like static. Finally, you take a step back, putting some much-needed distance between you. “You’re impossible,” you mutter, shaking your head.
“And you love it,” Yoongi counters easily, his voice smooth as ever.
You don’t respond, just glare at him before turning away, your pulse still racing. You hate how easily he gets under your skin, how he always knows exactly what to say to throw you off balance. But most of all, you hate that part of you doesn’t want him to stop.
As you walk away, you can still feel his eyes on you, his presence lingering even when you’re no longer standing next to him. And no matter how much you tell yourself you’re done with him, you know it’s not that simple. Because no matter what, you always end up right back here, caught in this dangerous, intoxicating pull.
“You good?” Hiyyih asks when you rejoin the group, her brow furrowed in concern.
You force a smile, shaking your head slightly to shake off the lingering tension from your encounter with Yoongi.
“Yeah, just... you know how it is.” You shrug, trying to keep your tone light.
Hiyyih eyes you skeptically, clearly not buying it. “You sure? You seemed a little... intense back there.” She leans closer, lowering her voice. “Was it about the rankings?”
You roll your eyes, feeling a flush of annoyance creeping up your neck. “I really don’t know.” You glance around the group, taking in their chatter and laughter, the familiar comfort of friends. It’s hard to believe how quickly things can shift from playful to complicated.
Hiyyih watches you closely, her expression softening. “Just be careful, okay? You don’t want to get too tangled up in whatever this is. You’ve got enough on your plate.”
You nod, feeling the weight of her words. “I know. I’m trying to keep my focus.”
“Good. Just remember, you have us.” She gestures to the rest of the group, who are still laughing and teasing one another, a comforting backdrop to the chaos swirling in your mind.
“Yeah, thanks,” you say, genuinely grateful. It’s a small relief to have friends who see you through the madness. As the conversation shifts back to lighthearted banter, you force yourself to join in, but your thoughts keep drifting back to Yoongi, to the way he looks at you and how easily he pulls you in. Not wanting to think about these feelings any longer you decide it’s time to leave. “I’m going to head out.”
Hiyyih looks understanding and quickly offers to walk back to the dorm with you.
“It’s okay. I’ll walk with her.” Namjoon says, appearing behind you. You didn’t realize he was so close by.
“Joon, it’s okay I can walk home by myself.” You insist, but he’s not going to take no for an answer.
“I was going to leave soon anyway.” He replies.
With a brief goodbye to the rest of your friends Namjoon and you head into the cool night air. He takes your hand in his large one. It’s peaceful for a few moments before Namjoon speaks up.
“What happened back there?” His voice is soft and careful.
“Yoongi was being weird. He’s been so nice lately then…I guess I should explain what he was asking about.”
“It’s okay. You don’t need to tell me.” He says with a reassuring squeeze of your hand.
You bite your lip before saying the next words. “Well it’s about you.”
“Huh?” Namjoon looks over at you with a questioning look.
“After you confessed to me I sat alone for a while, but then I ended up going to Yoongi’s dorm. He was very…” Your mind fills with images of Yoongi touching you. “understanding. I told him you confessed to me and I didn’t know what to do.”
“He must be jealous that you're spending time with me and that you ranked better than him.” Namjoon muses. You look into his eyes and are glad to see no anger. “You could’ve just talked to me.”
“My head was a mess. Still kind of is.”
He pulls you to a stop and cradles your cheek in his free hand. He pushes your hair away from your face. The dim street lights shining on his face somehow make him look even more dream like.
“That’s okay.” He brings his face closer to yours. Just inches between your lips. Your heart stammers in your chest. “I’m always here for you, YN.”
He backs away with a low laugh and the two of you continue back to your dorm. When you reach the door Namjoon drops your hand but doesn’t make a move to leave.
“Do you want to come inside?”
Namjoon hesitates for a second, glancing at the door before meeting your eyes again. “Are you sure?” he asks softly, his voice carrying a mix of warmth and caution.
You nod, a small smile tugging at your lips. “Yeah. I’d like that.”
He returns the smile, and together you step inside, the atmosphere between you two comfortable yet charged with an underlying current of unspoken emotions. As you close the door behind you, the quiet of your room seems to wrap around both of you, offering a sense of privacy and relief from the night’s tension.
Namjoon sits on the edge of your bed, looking around as if taking in the small details of your space. You move to join him, sitting beside him, close but not quite touching. For a moment, neither of you speak. The silence isn’t awkward. It’s the kind of silence that feels safe, like there’s no pressure to fill it with unnecessary words.
Eventually, you lean into him, resting your head against his shoulder. Namjoon lets out a soft sigh, his arm slipping around your waist, pulling you a little closer. His touch is gentle, comforting, and you relax into him, feeling the warmth of his body against yours.
“Thank you for walking me home.” You murmur, your voice quiet, almost drowned out by the sound of your own heartbeat. Being next to him feels different, softer than what you shared with Yoongi. Namjoon’s presence is grounding, safe.
The two of you scoot to the top of your bed so you are leaning against the headboard. He presses a soft kiss to the top of your head, his fingers tracing slow soothing circles on your side.
“I know part of what is causing this confused, torn feeling is me, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m still here for you and I’m not going anywhere.”
You take in Namjoon’s words, feeling the sincerity behind them. His steady presence, the warmth of his body pressed against your, makes you feel secure in a way that surprises you. It’s as if all the chaos and confusion swirling inside your mind calms. You tilt your head slightly, glancing up at him.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve you.” you whisper, your voice barely audible.
Namjoon chuckles softly, his thumb continuing to draw slow circles on your side. “You don’t have to deserve me, YN. I want to be here.” He pauses, searching for the right words. “I know things are complicated with…everything else, but I’m okay with that. You can figure things out at your own pace. Just…let me be here with you while you do.”
His words make your chest tighten in a way that’s both comforting and overwhelming. He’s giving you space, but at the same time, he’s offering to stay by your side. It’s not something you’re used to.
You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. “You’re too good for me,” you say, half joking, but there’s a part of you that believes it.
Namjoon’s arm tightens around you just a little. “I think you’re selling yourself short.” he replies, his voice soft and reassuring.
The room falls into a comfortable silence, only broken by the sound of steady breathing. For a while the two of you lie there. Your head rested against his chest listening to the beat of his heart. His hand strokes the back of your hair.
Several minutes later his heart starts beating quickly and you tilt your head to look into his eyes.
“Are you nervous?” You say, and when he gives you a confused look you continue, “What were you thinking about?”
Namjoon covers his face with both hands, obviously embarrassed by whatever he was thinking about. You move to pull his hands away and when you are successful you see a beautiful blush painting his cheeks.
“I was thinking about kissing you.”
Your own heart races and before you can think better of it you reply, “Why don’t you do it?”
“Are you sure?”
“Please kiss me.” You say, letting your hand rest on the curve of his jaw. His hand moves back down to your waist. “Maybe it’ll help me work through some things.”
“O-okay.”
Namjoon’s eyes flicker with a mixture of uncertainty and longing as he leans in slowly, giving you ample time to change your mind. But you don’t want to, in fact you feel a pull toward him, something soft and magnetic. His lips brush against yours, hesitant at first, as if he’s afraid of moving too quickly. The kiss is gentle, a slow, careful exploration, his warmth enveloping you as he lingers there.
His hand moves from your waist to cradle the back of your neck, his fingers slipping through your hair as he deepens the kiss ever so slightly. It’s not rushed. It’s tender, as if he’s trying to tell you something with every soft movement of his lips, something beyond words. You respond in kind, your hand tracing along his jaw, feeling the light stubble beneath your fingers as you tilt your head to meet him more fully.
Namjoon pulls away for a brief moment, his forehead resting against yours as he catches his breath. His thumb brushes against your cheek, his gaze filled with something so soft and full of care that it makes your heart swell. “You okay?” he asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
You nod, feeling breathless but in the best way possible. “Yeah,” you reply softly, leaning back in before you lose your courage. “I’m more than okay.”
The second kiss is more assured, his lips pressing against yours with a bit more confidence, and you feel yourself melting into him. His hand slides from your neck down to your waist, pulling you closer until there is no space left between you. The warmth of his body seeps into your, grounding you, anchoring you in this moment.
You shift slightly, your fingers tangling in his hair as he adjusts his position, gently guiding you onto your back. He hovers over you, his weight comforting rather than overwhelming, his lips never leaving yours for more than a second as he kisses you again and again, each one sending sparks of warmth through your body.
It’s slow, careful—everything about this moment is soft, like he’s savoring every second with you, like he’s making sure you’re okay at every step. His kisses trail from your lips to the corner of your mouth, down to your jaw, and then back up again, always returning to your lips, as if they’re home.
Namjoon shifts back onto his side pulling you close again. You gasp softly when his hand slips under your shirt, his palm resting on the small of your back, the heat from his touch is making your skin tingle. But he doesn’t push any further, his movements always measured, asking silently if this is okay. And it is. It more than is.
Namjoon’s lips meet yours once more, his kiss deepening in intensity but still retaining the same gentleness. It’s like he’s memorizing every touch, every sigh that escapes your lips. His fingers press softly into your back, holding you closer as you both sink deeper into the kiss. The weight of him above you feels comforting, safe and you find yourself completely wrapped up in him and his warmth, his touch, and his quiet breaths against your skins.
Your hands travel up his chest, feeling the firm muscles beneath his shirt as you move your fingers slowly, tracing the lines of his body like you’re learning him for the first time. Which you suppose, you are. Namjoon responds with a quiet, almost inaudible groan, his lips parting slightly as he kisses you more eagerly now. His tongue grazes against yours, sending a shiver down your spine, and you can feel his hesitation slipping away, replaced by the need to be closer to you.
His hand slides up your side, beneath the fabric of your shirt, but again, he never rushes. His touch is soft, his fingers barely grazing your skin as he pauses, giving you space to let him know if it’s too much.
You tilt your head slightly, breaking the kiss just enough to catch your breath, your eyes meeting his. Namjoon’s gaze is intense, filled with a mix of longing and something deeper, something like admiration. His thumb brushes across your lips, his breathing uneven as he looks down at you.
“Tell me if it’s too much,” he murmurs, his voice thick with emotion, but still so soft, so full of care.
“It’s not,” you reply, your voice just as breathless. You guide his hand a little higher, encouraging him to explore, to keep going, because this feels right.
Namjoon lets out a shaky breath, his fingers moving slowly up your side, brushing over your ribs before finally resting just beneath your chest. He’s still so careful, so considerate, as if he’s afraid of breaking this fragile moment. But the heat between you both is growing, and you can feel his heartbeat racing just as fast as yours.
He leans in again, capturing your lips in another kiss, this one a little more desperate, a little more hungry, like he’s finally letting himself give in to the feelings he’s been holding back. You respond eagerly, your hands threading through his hair, pulling him closer until there’s no space left between you again. His lips move down to your neck, pressing soft, open mouth kisses along your skin, and you can’t help the quiet gasp that escapes you.
“Namjoon,” you breathe, your fingertips tightening in his hair as he continues his slow exploration of your body. The sound of his name on your lips seems to spur him on, his kisses becoming more fervent, more insistent, but never losing that underlying tenderness.
Namjoon’s lips linger on yours for just a moment longer before he pulls back, breathing heavily. He scoots his bottom half away from your embrace and you already know what he’s about to say. His forehead still rests against yours, but there’s a tension in his body now that wasn’t there before. His eyes, dark with desire, search yours as if weighing something deeply.
“YN,” he murmurs, his voice husky yet filled with restraint.“If we keep going…I’m going to get too excited, and I don’t want to rush anything.” Hes being honest, his cheeks flushed slightly as he pulls back just enough to give both of you space. “I want you to be more sure of your feelings before we do more.”
Namjoon’s words hang in the air between you, his voice gentle but filled with a weight that makes your heart tighten. His forehead presses softly against yours, and you can feel the heat of his skin, the way his breath catches as he tries to calm himself down.
“I want this to feel right for both of us,” he continues, his voice quieter now, almost like he’s speaking more to himself than to you. “I care about you too much to…rush things.” His thumb brushes against your side in slow, soothing circles, grounding you both in the moment.
You take a deep breath, your hands resting on his chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart beneath your palm. He’s being so careful, so considerate, and it only makes your feelings for him grow stronger. The tenderness in his actions, the way he’s willing to hold back mostly for your sake, even though you can feel the desire burning between you both—it makes you realize just how special this is.
“I understand,” you whisper, leaning up to press a soft kiss to his lips. It’s a gentle, reassuring gesture, one that tells him you’re okay with the pace he’s setting, that you appreciate the space he’s giving you to sort through your emotions. Even when you want to do so much more with him. “Thank you for being so patient with me.”
Namjoon smiles, his expression softening as he leans into the kiss for just a moment before pulling away. “You’re worth it,” he says simply, his voice filled with so much sincerity it makes your chest tighten.
With a quiet sigh, you both settle back into the comfortable embrace you’d shared before, the heat between you calming as you rest your head on his chest once again. His arm wraps around you, holding you close, while his other hand continues to stroke slow, soothing patterns along your side. The earlier tension has eased, replaced by a quiet, content feeling.
For a long while, neither of you speaks. The room is filled with the quiet sounds of your breathing, the steady thump of Namjoon’s heartbeat beneath your ear, and the soft rustling of fabric as you shift slightly to get more comfortable. You can feel the exhaustion from the day catching up with you, the warmth of his body against yours lulling you into a peaceful state of relaxation. The minutes tick by, and slowly, your eyes begin to drift shut. The weight of sleep tugs at you, and soon enough, you feel yourself slipping into a peaceful slumber, still wrapped in Namjoon’s embrace. His breathing grows slower, more even, and before long, you can tell he’s fallen asleep too.
════════════ ∘◦❀◦∘ ════════════
In the morning you wake slowly, blinking against the soft light filtering through the curtains. For a moment everything seems perfect, the lingering warmth, and the faint scent of Namjoon’s cologne on your sheets, but as your eyes adjust, you realize the space beside you is empty. The spot where Namjoon had been holding you all night is cold now.

Overall, your relationship with Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin progresses well after that night. Is there really a difference between the time before and after being in a polycule for you?
Well, not really. You would say the biggest difference is that it feels like old times when it was just you and them versus the world, and not like the months leading up to that Gamma party last October. The days when you would stick together, and there wasn’t casual dating or hookups causing a rift in your friendship. You guys are more intimate with one another now though, and it's been serendipitous.
After the initial foursome, you all agreed to keep things lowkey, but your best friends (now lovers) don’t exactly know the definition of “lowkey.” From conspicuously holding your hand as they walk you to and from class (taking turns, by the way), it hasn’t gone unnoticed by others on campus.
Soon after, rumors began circulating, especially coming from a certain salty Gamma boy who got left behind and some snarky Psi Gamma girls who were friends with Jimin’s ex. You’ve heard things in passing like “Y/N, the Beta Tau Sigma slut being passed around the house” or confession account tweets anonymously saying “Y/N is stealing all the finest men on campus for herself. Selfish bitch.”
But these are the same rumors you have been hearing since the beginning, back when you first moved into the BTS house and started hanging out with the guys. But with more concrete evidence now, it’s been more rampant than ever before. However, if you try to defend yourself, you know it will only satisfy those people more, confirming their torment works and continuing to do it until you’re on the brink of insanity.
You don’t blame your boyfriends for their affectionate behavior or for not keeping things more under wraps.
They just want to show you as much love and care as they can to make up for all the lost time they couldn’t do that.
So when you accidentally snap at them for an unrelated thing after dealing with some harassment in your Instagram DMs, your boyfriends immediately worry about you, especially Yoongi. He is the first to notice the shift in your mood, pulling you aside to talk.
"Hey," Yoongi says softly, his voice filled with concern. "What's up? You've been tense all day."
You sigh, feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders. "Sorry…It's just... the bullshit rumors on the confessions account Instagram. I’ve been getting hit with so many DMs from burner accounts calling me “the Beta Tau Slut”. I’ve blocked a lot of them, but…" You feel your eyes slowly fill with tears of anger, but unwilling to let them fall.
Explaining all of this feelsl so stupid. Namjoon and Jimin join the conversation, their faces mirroring Yoongi's worry. "Babt, we won’t let them get to you," Namjoon says, taking your hand in his. "You know we’re here for you, right?"
"I know," you reply, squeezing his hand. "I’m usually good at ignoring shit like this, but damn… it just won’t stop."
Jimin wraps an arm around you, his warmth comforting. "We’ll handle this together, okay? We won’t let them say shit to bring us down."
Their support makes you feel better, but the constant negativity still lingers in your mind. It isn’t just about ignoring the gossip—it is about reclaiming your narrative and not letting anyone else define you or your relationship.
The next day, Yoongi surprises you with an idea. "Let’s make a statement," he suggests. "We’ll show everyone that we’re proud of what we have."
"How?" you ask, curious but hesitant.
"We’ll post about it," Jimin says, determination in his eyes. "Not intended to fuel the rumors, but to show that we’re happy and in love. Let them say what they want. We know the truth." Namjoon and Yoongi nod in agreement. "It’s time we take control of our story," Namjoon adds.
That’s when your three boyfriends post a photo of all three of them kissing your face at once, followed by a photo dump of other moments from that spring semester.
There is no caption, as the photos really speak for themselves. You receive a downpour of positive comments from people who either already knew about your relationship with Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jimin or familiar faces you have good relationships with that comment their congratulatory messages to you four.
That eases some of the anxiety that has been building up inside you. Seeing the supportive messages and knowing that there are people who genuinely care about you and respect your relationship makes a significant difference. You feel a sense of relief and gratitude wash over you as you read through the kind words. You're glad you have the best boyfriends. They have stood by you, defending your relationship and ensuring you feel loved and cherished despite all odds.
"Took you long to come clean, honey pie." Hwasa narrows her eyes at you from the doorway of your room.
“Look I can explain…” You look away in shame, clutching your pillow closely, feeling more anxious than ever. You’ve never had close female friends before, so having to be comforted by one feels scarier than when the guys confronted you about things.
"Explain why you couldn’t tell me why you were snogging with your three guy best friends? I thought we were friends!" She pulls out her phone, pointing to the photo Yoongi had posted as well as Namjoon and Jimin’s.
You really were planning to tell her not long after you made it official with Beta Tau Sigma, but now it feels too late that she found out through several Instagram posts.
“I was scared you would think it’s weird…” "Weird?" She scrunches her face in confusion as she moves closer towards you, her tone serious. "I thought it was pretty fucking… awesome!" Her enthusiasm grows suddenly. "That’s every girl’s fantasy—dating the school’s hottest guys all at once? Trust me, I’ve heard stranger things."
“Really? Like…” You whisper, asking cautiously.
Hwasa sighs, her expression softening as she sits down beside you on the bed. “Like a girl from Psi Gamma doing coke lines with her professor and fucking him after for an A+, or a Mu Chi guy getting his dick up after injecting steroids,” she says with a chuckle. “Trust me, your situation isn’t even close to weird in comparison.”
You have a lot of questions about what she just told you, but you’ll save it for later.
You let out a nervous laugh, relieved by her understanding tone. “I guess you’re right. It’s just all so new to me. I’m so sorry, Hwasa.”
“It’s okay,” Hwasa reassures you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. “Like I’ve said a million times before, I got your back. I just feel bad for not being able to protect you from the harassment sooner…”
You sigh. "It’s not your fault Hwasa. But the good thing is that I had my boyfriends with me who have been doing their best and bearing with me through this. They’ve really made me feel what love actually is.”
"And that's why I'm so happy for you. I haven't known them for too long, but they’ve always seemed like great guys. If they make you happy, then I'm all for it." Hwasa joins you on your bed, getting comfortable under your Pompompurin blanket.
You smile, feeling the warmth spread through your chest as you move in for a hug. “Thank you, Hwasa. That means a lot.” After a moment, you pull back and remember your other friends. “Wait..do… Soohyun, Jieun, and Soyoon know?”
Hwasa groans, flopping back on the bed. “Soohyun saw the posts, but she’s still a confused little bird, bless her heart. Jieun, though, she’s sharp. She told me she caught on during that camping trip a few months ago. I thought she was imagining things, but she was spot on.” You blush, realizing you definitely need to talk to Jieun about this. “As for Soyoon, she and I had a bet on whether you’d end up with Namjoon or Yoongi because they seemed like more likely options than Jimin at the time. I was Team Yoongi, by the way. But… I guess we both won, so…” You both burst into laughter.
Hwasa's eyes light up with mischief. “Oh, but Soyoon did not see this coming at all! She was convinced you’d end up with Namjoon only. She told me he couldn't stop yapping about you to her whenever they’d hang out. You should have seen her face when she saw the photos! Her jaw literally dropped. She was in complete shock.”
You giggle, imagining Soyoon’s expression. “I can picture it. I guess I have a lot of explaining to do.”
Hwasa grins, “You do, but take your time. They’ll understand. And if anyone gives you trouble, they’ll have to deal with me first.”
“Thanks, Hwasa. I really do appreciate it.”
“Anytime,” she says, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. “Now, you better tell me how this all began. Every detail. Even the nastiest ones! You’ve got liquor in the kitchen, and I can get Hoseok to provide some weed on the house.”
A good smoke session sounds perfect to loosen up and spill everything.
You nod, then yell, “Hoseok!” He comes running from downstairs, looking confused.
“Give us the good stuff,” Hwasa says with a wink, beckoning him to bring the weed he keeps in a closet next to his room.
“As long as I can join for a bit too!” He smirks back at her, which she returns as well.
You both look at them, shaking your head.
Oh god, this is gonna be a long night.
Along with dating, other things that you are all initially worried about eventually start to fall into place.
Yoongi ends up finishing the mixtape he’s been working on for the longest time.
He submitted the best one out of all his peers, which means Professor Kang fulfilled his end of the bargain, writing him a letter of recommendation, and sending his mixtape to Mr. Bang. He said he’d never listened to such an innovative and unique collection of music and held Yoongi in high regard.
“Mr. Bang reached out to me!” Yoongi announces excitedly one afternoon in mid-May, holding up his phone for you to see. “He says he wants to do a Zoom call and talk business!”
You take his phone and read the email on the screen: “As I know you are still studying at X City University, it may be difficult for you to relocate to LA on such a short notice for the summer, but I’d like to potentially offer you a 3-month internship with Bighit Records. You can work remotely for now and then come into the LA office for the last few weeks of the internship. We will discuss more during our call. I don’t want to miss out on having a talented individual with growing potential join our label.”
You pause, stunned by the news. “Holy fucking shit, Min Yoongi! I told you that you could do it!” you exclaim, rushing to hug him.
“Like I said before, it’s because you had faith in me and gave me your love as motivation.”
Blushing, you kiss him on the cheek. “Stop, you’re being so cheesy!”
Yoongi laughs, pulling you closer. "Cheesy, but true."
When the other Beta Sigma boys hear the news, they immediately announce they are going to throw Yoongi a party to celebrate his achievement. Hoseok excitedly proclaims he will supply the alcohol, while Taehyung promises to buy the weed.
“We’re going all out tonight!” Hoseok declares, setting alcohol bottles down on the kitchen counter. “Only the best for our future music mogul.” That night is probably one of the most fun parties of the year.
Jimin, too, finds his groove. He wasn’t sure what other goals he had besides trying to get his business degree. He knows that either he or his younger brother would have to start running his dad’s bakery one day. But before that, Jimin’s dad wants him to become a prosecutor…which Jimin wasn’t completely keen on doing.
But there is one thing he does like: dancing. Aside from majoring in business, he is minoring in dance just because it lets him have an outlet to explore his long-time passions. Working for a corporation after graduating seems like the next big move, but for someone like Jimin, he thrives in creative environments more than a boring office.
He’s been doing dance covers since high school and uploading them on YouTube.
Recently, a few of his dance performances with Hoseok started gaining recognition. This led to him asking Jimin to perform in the college dance team’s performance for the university’s end-of-the-year culture fest, as well as choreograph it. He was initially nervous, as he hasn’t done something like this in so long, but you and your other two boyfriends attended his rehearsals, supporting him and cheering him on.
After he killed the performance amazingly with his fellow dancers, Jimin has new aspirations in mind.
“I talked to my parents earlier, more specifically my dad,” Jimin says, laying his head on your lap and looking up at you. “Told him I want to take dance seriously and make it my career.”
“Oh? What did he say about that?” you ask curiously, your fingers running gently through his hair.
“He was a little hesitant at first. You know, trying to nicely say it’s not financially stable.” You hum softly at his words, understanding the concern. “But then he said I could work an office job and dance at one of those professional dance studios during my free time. When I’d make enough, I could leave that job and stick to dance.”
You smile down at him, admiration shining in your eyes. “That sounds like a good plan to work towards. At least he’s supportive, even if he’s worried.”
Jimin nods, a small smile playing on his lips. “Yeah, I’m glad he didn’t outright dismiss it. I just need to prove to him—and to myself—that I can make it work.”
“You can do it, Jimin. You’re an amazing dancer. With your talent and determination, there’s no way you won’t succeed,” you say, your voice filled with conviction. “You’ve made it this far after all.”
He reaches up, taking your hand in his and squeezing it gently. “Really? You think I could aim for 1Million Dance Studio?”
“Pfft.” You say, grinning. “You are the Jimin Park, after all. Son of the famed Magnate Bakery’s Hyunsoo Park.”
“This is one of the many reasons I love you, babe. Thank you.” He laughs, an angelic sound that fills the room, and cuddles further into your lap, making you laugh at his clinginess.
As for Namjoon, he has switched his study abroad program to the summer instead of the fall semester. Being the (slightly) possessive boyfriend that he is, he can’t bear being away for that long. Especially this early on in the relationship when he is worried other guys would try to get at you. But you reassure him that it won’t happen, Jimin and Yoongi are with you anyway.
Despite you rarely seeing Jaebeom around after he got the biggest hint that you already had… others, Namjoon sometimes worries you’ll sway.
One evening, as you sit together in your cozy living room studying for finals with Taehyung, Jungkook, Hoseok and Jin, Namjoon brings up his concerns. "You’re not gonna randomly break up with me… or all of us while I’m gone right?" he asks, his voice tinged with unease. "What if Jaebeom tries to get at you again? Or Mingyu? I know he’s such an attractive guy and you–"
You interrupt him mid-rant and take his hand in yours, squeezing it reassuringly. "Namjoon, you know I love you. I love Jimin and Yoongi too. You don’t have to worry about anyone else getting in the way. And besides, these Beta guys will keep protecting me too, right guys?"
Taehyung looks up from his notes and grins. "Absolutely! No one's getting past us!"
Jungkook nods vigorously. "We’ve got her back, Namjoon. Always."
Hoseok chimes in, flashing a bright smile. "Yeah, don’t worry. We’ll keep all those weird frat boys, international students, and businessmen away."
Jin, ever the voice of reason, adds, "You’ve got nothing to worry about, Namjoon. It’s literally summer session too, who the fuck is going to be around here anyways."
Namjoon smiles, albeit a bit shyly. "I know, I know. It’s just me being paranoid.” He lets out a sigh of relief, his shoulders relaxing. "Thanks, guys. I mean it.”
Taehyung chimes in, hitting you with his elbow, “If anything, our little Honey should be worried that her boyfriend won’t find another pretty girl while he’s in Korea.”
You playfully roll your eyes, nudging Taehyung back. "Oh, please. Namjoon is too obsessed with me, reading books and looking at art to notice anyone else."
"Very offended you would even think I would do that, Tae." Namjoon narrows his eyes at him, smacking him on the shoulder. "I’m only going to Korea to study at Yonsei, and I’m taking a really cool contemporary art class taught by a famous art conservator and historian. Plus, there’s this student organization I want to join that focuses on integrating art and social change. That’s what’s going to keep me busy."
Taehyung laughs, rubbing his shoulder. "Ah! Okay, okay, I get it. Mr. ‘Studious Foo’. Never mind."
Not long after, Yoongi and Jimin come home carrying bags of BB.Q Chicken and a selection of Korean beers they picked up from H-Mart downtown. The enticing aroma of fried chicken fills the room as they unpack the boxes, revealing an array of golden, crispy goodness as well as sides of white radish in cups and french fries. One box contains your favorite: Soy Garlic flavored chicken, a perfect blend of sweet and savory that you always have to make sure Yoongi orders instead of the original flavor. The other box holds Yangnyeom chicken, coated in a vibrant red sauce that provides a sweet and spicy kick that Jungkook and Jimin are obsessed with. You all gather around the dining table, the spread of chicken and cold beers inviting you all to indulge. The clinking of bottles and the sound of laughter fills the room as everyone settles in. Yoongi pours the beer, its crisp, refreshing taste pairing perfectly with the rich flavors of the chicken.
As you start eating, Namjoon begins to share details about his upcoming study abroad program. He speaks animatedly about his itinerary, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
“That sounds really cool, Joonie,” you say, genuinely happy for him. “You’ve always been so passionate about art and using it to make a difference, so I’m glad you have the chance to discover more about that.”
"Thank you my love," Namjoon says, his smile growing. "It's a dream come true, really. And I promise, I’ll keep in touch as much as I can. Video calls, texts, everything."
Jimin, who has been quietly listening, chimes in, "We'll make sure she’s too busy to even think about other guys, hyung. Don't worry about that."
Yoongi smirks, giving Namjoon a playful nudge. "And we’ll show you proof too.”
These nights—eating delicious food, savoring Korean beers, and sharing laughs and dreams with your closest friends—are moments you cherished deeply.
However, there is a bittersweet realization looming: Hoseok and Jin are about to graduate. Soon, these carefree gatherings will change. The thought tugs at your heart as you look around the table, capturing the smiles and laughter etched into your memory. You silently vow to hold onto these precious moments, knowing they will become even more precious with time.
–
About two weeks later, Jin graduated from college. The whole house attends the ceremony, each of you holding flower bouquets or some sort of gift to congratulate him. It is a hot afternoon, sun blazing throughout the 2-hour commencement ceremony while the friends and families sitting on the bleachers are excited and proud.
After the ceremony ends, you all gather down on the soccer field. Jin’s brother, mom, dad, pregnant sister-in-law, and nephew have already arrived to congratulate Jin.
Namjoon, who has been unusually secretive lately, suddenly opens a decently large case he had brought with him. Upon opening it, he pulls out his old saxophone, the one he hasn’t touched since high school. He immediately starts playing it, a catchy tune filling the air. Everyone turns to him in surprise, especially Hoseok.
"Why on earth did you bring that out after so long?" Hoseok asks, his eyebrow raising in curiosity.
Namjoon grins, positioning the saxophone and taking a deep breath. "It's a bet I made with Jin during his freshman year," he explains. "I told him that if he actually graduated on time, I'd serenade him with the 'Epic Sax Guy' song from the 2010 Eurovision."
The group bursts into laughter, Jin included, who is now shaking his head with a wide smile. "I can't believe you remembered that," He says, amusement clear in his voice.
Namjoon continues to play, and all of you around him can’t help but laugh and cheer, clapping along to the music. Jin is doubled over in laughter, tears streaming down his face as he watches his friend fulfill an old, ridiculous bet.
Jieun approaches you, wearing a white dress under her graduation gown, her eyes filled with concern and curiosity. She glances at your three boyfriends, who are behind you, laughing and teasing Jin. He looks both amused and embarrassed by the attention he's receiving from people around him after Namjoon's serenade.
"You think you'll be okay, Honey?" Jieun asks, her gaze shifting from the boys to you. Her question is gentle, but her eyes are sharp, taking in every detail.
Your cheeks redden. "I still can't believe you caught on to everything months before anyone else, Jieun."
She grins, a twinkle in her eye. "Of course. Nothing gets past me! Just wasn’t sure whether I was understanding things right." She jokes, giving your arm a light squeeze.
You smile at her, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. "But to answer your question, yeah, I think so. We've got a good thing going, and we'll make it work."
Her expression softens, and she steps closer, pulling you into a hug. "I’m glad. I really do think you guys are meant for each other. Just like soulmates."
Soulmates. The word resonates deeply with you. All of the signs from the past just point out to that after all. It just took a little longer for you and them to realize it.
You’re pulled from your thoughts as Jieun continues, shifting the conversation.
"I'll be moving in less than 24 hours to LA to start my first job in entertainment next Monday. You better come down and visit me, alright?" She gently pokes your cheek, making you giggle.
"Oh woah! I will!"
"And don't forget about what I told you back in April. If you’re still interested, I’ll help you get there."
You nod eagerly, feeling a surge of determination, before you're interrupted by Soohyun, Hwasa, and Soyoon, who come over to bombard Jieun with their congratulatory flower bouquets.
As you watch the joyful scene, you can't help but reflect on your own future. After all, your boyfriends had started thinking about their careers, it makes you realize that maybe you should start getting your shit together as well. You are now their girlfriend with the potential to become their wife, which leads you to talk to Jieun, who was a senior in your department, about your future. Your career.
As a psych major and theater minor, her goal is to go into the entertainment industry and become an actress or go into hospitality in this field. And being a business major and psych minor yourself, hearing her stories about her internship from last summer made you realize you want to consider getting into this industry as well. Jimin and Yoongi will be involved in it due to dance and music, and Namjoon will be consequentially also in it due to working in art, so it will make sense. Maybe this is something you will start looking into as you approach your last two years of college.
As the day draws to a close, you find yourself standing with your boyfriends, the warm glow of the setting sun casting a golden hue over the soccer field. Jin’s friends and families surround him, laughter and chatter filling the air. Namjoon wraps an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close.
"Ready to head home and party?" he asks, his voice soft and comforting.
You nod, feeling a sense of contentment settle over you. "Hell yeah!"

June 21 [Friday]
The sun is scorching as you stand outside feeling the summer heatwave pound down on you. However, your relief for quenching your thirst is suddenly gone as your hand lets go of your iced peach tea. You stare blankly at the building in front of you.
“You’re… going to lease an apartment for all four of us?” You manage to word out, turning back to look at Namjoon and Yoongi in shock.
Namjoon now sports a buzzcut, a new look he wanted to try after seeing how stress-free Sanyawn was with his own buzzcut. The change suits him well, and he looks undeniably hot. He’s wearing a slightly ill-fitted navy blue shirt that shows off his toned arms and a pair of khaki shorts, perfect for the summer heat. His new haircut accentuates his strong jawline and expressive eyes, giving him an edgy yet clean appearance.
Yoongi’s hair has progressively gotten longer, with some locks now cascading down to his shoulders. You were always used to his hair being side-swept or even in a bowl cut, but this new length is more than alluring. Dressed in a loose white linen graphic tee and jorts, Yoongi exudes an effortless cool despite the weather. The longer hair frames his face beautifully, highlighting his sharp features and giving him an almost ethereal doll-like look.
Jimin stands beside you, his hair now a striking blonde. He always talked about dyeing his hair but was hesitant to take the plunge until last week when Jungkook spontaneously decided to help him do it. It could’ve gone really badly, but it turned out incredibly well. He looks prettier than ever, the blonde contrasting perfectly with his warm skin tone. Jimin is wearing a white t-shirt and ripped jeans, a playful and stylish summer outfit that complements his new hair color.
“Uh, I mean, why not? We’re dating after all. Think it would be better for us.” Yoongi shrugs, walking towards the side gate entrance of the apartment complex and going inside. Jimin helps grab your sad, empty plastic cup on the ground and throw it in a nearby bin. You just got it on the way here and were barely halfway done with it. Nonetheless, the three of you follow along behind him on this self-guided apartment tour.
“But…what about Beta Tau Sigma? The house?” Your words sound sad. “Are we not living there even after Seokjin and Hoseok graduate?”
You were only there for a little less than a year, but managed to become so much closer to the guys who you’d only share a few words with and maybe some small talk prior to living with them. What’s going to happen to them now? The house being two stories and having 4 rooms made it rather expensive to live in, especially in the area you are in. With 8 people living in it, there wasn’t much difficulty in getting the bills paid, and still having enough for other things like tuition and whatever fun stuff we had.
You’ve been working in the library since your freshman year, and while you didn’t talk about it much, the guys had jobs to contribute to the costs as well. Namjoon works at a local art gallery near campus with San Yawn. Jimin works at the Admissions building and does campus tours to visiting students (which usually always charms them to enroll). Yoongi does freelance producing work for some studios in the area. Taehyung works late nights at a jazz club while Jungkook works reception at the gym. Hoseok is a dance instructor at a local community center and Jin… Jin doesn’t work. His rich parents have been really supportive to help provide for the other expenses.
“They’re planning to move out sometime in January. Jin just graduated and Hoseok is graduating in December. They don’t know if they’ll still be around, so Taehyung and Jungkook won’t be able to cover all the costs on their own. They’re looking to rent an apartment here too.” Namjoon adds.
A silence falls as the reality of things changing settles in.
“Can’t believe this is the end of Beta Tau Sigma…” Jimin mumbles, which doesn’t go unheard by the rest of you guys.
“For now. If things start looking good for us post-grad, maybe we’ll rent a new house together that’s even bigger. It was feeling a bit cramped in the last few months, not gonna lie.” Namjoon puts an arm around you, “But for now, we need some privacy…” He smirks at you, which makes your eyes roll.
“What he wants to say is that we can’t fuck you on the kitchen table at the BTS house.” Yoongi bluntly says, making you choke on your spit. Namjoon and Jimin begin to hit your back, which makes it worse with multiple hits.
“Hyung!” Namjoon and Jimin yell at the older man, who shrugs.
“Oh my god…” It’s an understatement to say you are feeling half nervous and half horny at the thought of being fucked on every surface of your new home by your three boyfriends. Are you even going to survive that?
After a couple of months of being together, most of those times you’ve taken turns having sex with all three of them. At times, maybe one boyfriend would be in the room watching you and another getting it on. But as they mentioned, it’s not particularly easy to have sex as a group when you live with 4 other guys. Keeping quiet is not a simple task. You could’ve sworn you overhead Taehyung saying to Jimin and Jungkook that he got off of the sounds you and the guys were making one of those nights. And maybe you haven’t been able to look him in the eye since!
“You guys know I’m up for anything,” you say with a grin, giving them a thumbs-up, which earns you bashful smiles in return.
"Give it a few weeks while Namjoon is away, and you're all ours," Jimin teases, winking mischievously. “You know what an Eiffel tower is?”
“I–”
"H-Hey, that's not fair!" Namjoon protests, though his smile betrays his playful spirit.
After Jimin’s teasing comment, you all decide it is time to go check out the new apartment.
Upon entering the place itself, you are greeted by a spacious living room with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The kitchen is modern and sleek, and there are three bedrooms, one for each of your boyfriends. The best part is the balcony overlooking the pool, a perfect spot for late-night talks and relaxing evenings.
“This place is beautiful!” you exclaim, twirling around in the living room. “You guys did great!”
“We thought you’d like it,” Namjoon says, grinning proudly.
“We should start moving in right away,” Yoongi suggests, already planning how to arrange the furniture. “Makes things easier before we start to get busy this summer.”
You nod excitedly in response, which makes him lean in close to you and kiss your temple.
A part of your heart breaks knowing that you won’t be back at that house on a daily, but no matter what, you’re ready for a new beginning with your soulmates.
Over the next couple of days, you all work together to move in. It’s a whirlwind of unpacking boxes, arranging furniture, and hanging up decorations. Namjoon proves to be surprisingly meticulous, insisting on organizing the bookshelf by genre. Jimin and Yoongi spend hours setting up a cozy corner with bean bags and a record player.
Finally, with everything in place, you all decide to celebrate with a pool party with friends at the apartment complex. The sun is shining, and the air is filled with the sounds of laughter and splashing water.
This is truly what life is.
“Uugh~”
“Fuck baby, stay still while I fuck your tiny pussy.” Namjoon whispers as he lifts your ass to thrust at a better angle. You are currently trying to balance yourself with your noodle arm on the couch as Yoongi enters in and out of your mouth and you use your other hand to pleasure Jimin’s cock.
You were enjoying the party not long ago, and then once it ended, they immediately came back in with you, locked the door and closed the blinds. You guess the black swimsuit you bought really enticed them through the day.
Now you’re being overstimulated to the brim. Your body is going to ache tomorrow for sure.
“This fucking bikini… Were you trying to kill us?” Yoongi chuckles, his hips are moving more frantically now, chasing his orgasm with little regard for how obvious his movements are.
“So fucking slutty wearing that in front of the guys.” Namjoon moans quietly. “Let me breed you before I leave you to Yoongi and Jimin.” He snickers, making you whine as your cheeks heat up. Not long after the first couple of times with Namjoon, you found out he has a size kink, a breeding kink, and a slight degradation kink. It’s so interesting to see the contrast from being a golden retriever on a normal daily basis.
Namjoon pulls out and snaps his hips back into you, burying himself inside you over and over again, his movements make your brain go fuzzy as he uses his knee to push your legs further apart, from this angle he reaches deeper inside you, his fat tip prodding at your cervix. He presses his large hand right above your womb to feel himself moving inside, the feeling sends you over the edge as well, and your walls squeeze him, robbing him of all breath.
“Shit..” Is all he manages as his climax hits him unexpectedly, you feel him spill inside you painting your walls white. Yoongi follows, making you swallow the cum as Jimin paints your tits with his own.

July 9th [Monday]
A few weeks later, Namjoon is in Korea, settling into his study abroad program. It has been years since he was last in Korea, back when he was just a kid before he moved to the US. Now, as he overlooks the sprawling Seoul skyline from his dorm window, he can’t help but think about how much his life has changed since then—especially after meeting you, his next-door neighbor. He often daydreamed about bringing you here one day, showing you all the places that meant so much to him. He’d start with Ilsan, his hometown, then Daegu, where Yoongi was from, and finally, Busan, where Jimin’s mom currently lives.
But those daydreams will have to wait.
For now, he has to focus on his studies and then think of the future. Namjoon opens his planner, filling it with various assignments he has received for the semester. He makes a note to visit the National Museum of Korea in the coming days for one of his assignments. As he glances at the date, he suddenly realizes something important.
“July 10th here… Wait… July 9th. It’s baby’s birthday in the States,” he muttered to himself. “Damn, I was so busy getting settled here that I almost forgot.” Just as he is about to panic, his phone buzzes with a video call notification. It’s you.
Wasting no time, he answers the call, looking forward to seeing your face after a few days of not seeing it virtually.
But it isn’t your face, it’s Jimin’s.
“Hi Hyung! You didn’t wish our baby happy birthday earlier so…” He switches the camera view, showing Namjoon what appears to be you, receiving backshots from Jimin as you suck on Yoongi’s dick. “We wanted to show you what you were missing.”
Eiffel Tower.
Namjoon's eyes widen as he watches the video. He can’t believe what he is seeing, but a small smile creeps onto his face.
Jimin passes the phone over to Yoongi, who holds the phone close to your face, showing his dick going in and out of your mouth.
“Fuck…” Namjoon's hand slowly inches inside his sweatpants, palming his cock slightly.
“Baby, show your daddy how good you’re taking me,” Yoongi said seductively.
You smile playfully, your eyes locked with Namjoon's eyes on the phone. You slowly take Yoongi's dick deeper into your mouth, swallowing and pulling back before starting all over again. Jimin and Yoongi sigh contentedly, their eyes never leaving yours.
Namjoon watches, mesmerized by the sight. His heart races as he stares at the beauty of your body, your lips wrapped around Yoongi's dick.
He feels a wave of longing and desire wash over him, making him pull out his own dick to stroke it as he watches you be taken by his two best friends.
The sound of your moans and their groans fill his ears as he continues to watch. His mind races with thoughts of the three of you together.
Jimin and Yoongi's bodies move in perfect harmony with each other, their sweaty skin slapping against your soft lips. Namjoon's own cock twitches in his hand, unable to hold back his own arousal any longer. He wonders if the three of you are thinking of him as he watches, if you are fucking with the intention of sharing your pleasure with him.
Namjoon eyes widen as Yoongi sets the phone down, propping it up so Namjoon can get a full view of you being fucked and Yoongi making out with Jimin.
He can see your body arching, Yoongi's dick sliding in and out of you as you reach down to stroke Jimin's dick. Jimin moans into Yoongi's mouth, his own hand moving faster on his own cock. The sight of you pleasuring the two of them is more than Namjoon can take.
He begins stroking himself faster, desperate for an orgasm.
As you begin to scream, Yoongi and Jimin follow suit, their orgasms filling the air. You collapse onto the bed, panting, as the three of them kiss and cuddle. Namjoon's own orgasm hits him like a freight train, his eyes locked onto the screen as he comes, his body shuddering with pleasure.
Fuck.
He needs to get through this semester abroad, make connections, come home and take care of you all for the rest of your lives.
“Happy birthday, baby.” He huffs before you wave with the laziest and most fucked out smile ever.
“I m-miss you.” You say before Yoongi ends the call to continue whatever he and Jimin have planned for your birthday night.

September 6th [Friday]
“What are your thoughts on having kids?”
You nearly choke on your water, sputtering and coughing as you set the glass down.
“Kim Namjoon!?” you manage to say, eyes wide with surprise. It hasn’t even been a full week since Namjoon returned from Korea, and here he is, bringing up such a huge question out of nowhere.
Namjoon looks at you with a calm, thoughtful expression, leaning back on the couch with Jimin and Yoongi on either of his sides, eating snacks while catching up on One Piece. “I’ve just been thinking a lot, especially after being away. I mean, it’s not like I’m saying we should have kids right now… or ever, but... I’m curious about your thoughts on it.”
You blink, still processing the sudden shift in conversation. “Well, honestly, I don’t really want to have kids…”
You’ve never had motherly instincts or felt like a caretaking figure. You have a younger sibling, but you’re only a few years apart in age, similar to Jimin and his brother or Namjoon and his sister, so it doesn’t require you to take on much responsibility. Plus, the things you’ve read online about pregnancy heavily scare you. You refuse to do it.
Silence proceeds, making you a little nervous. “I… Uh, could we opt for cats?” You suggest, giggling awkwardly.
“Okay but…” You start, knowing you’re gonna regret even saying this. “Maybe… just maybe… I’ll consider having one child. You guys just have to rock paper scissors that.”
Namjoon chuckles, his eyes softening. “If that’s what you want, sure. As long as we get three and we each get to name them.”
Yoongi smirks, leaning back. “I call for naming one Gyul!” You remember it means Tangerine in Korean, and it fits Yoongi’s vibe perfectly.
Jimin’s face lights up. “I’ll go with Marimo, like the moss ball,” he adds, making you laugh at the thought of a fluffy cat named after a plant.
You take a deep breath, feeling a bit more at ease. “Okay but…” you start, knowing you’re going to regret even saying this. “Maybe… just maybe… I’ll consider having one child. You guys just have to rock paper scissors for that.”
“Really?!” Namjoon’s eyes widen, excited by the potential.
The room erupts in laughter, the tension dissipating. “Rock paper scissors to decide who gets the honor, huh?” Yoongi grins, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “I guess that’s one way to settle it.”
“Let’s decide now!” Jimin’s competitive nature kicks in, and he’s already positioning his hand for the game.
“Wait, wait!” You laugh, holding up your hands. “We’re still in college! Let’s give it several years for us to get settled with everything and our careers–”
“What about marriage? That can happen sooner right?” Yoongi’s eyes gleam with curiosity and a hint of excitement.
You blink, taken aback. “Marriage?”
You’re not gonna lie. You have thought about this one.
It would be difficult to get married to all three of them in a country where polyamory isn’t…legal. And there’s also the whole thing with Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin’s parents being Korean and religious. That would most certainly give some or even all of their families heart attacks. So what were you thinking would be a good solution to this.
Legally marry only one of them.
And surprisingly you already have someone in mind for this.
“Your face is telling us you have thought about it.” Namjoon chuckles.
“What!? No way.” After cleaning the spill from earlier, you turn to sit on the loveseat, holding your bag of Lay’s Sea Salt & Vinegar chips with your glass of wine. These are your go-to snacks after all… well right after the Banana Kick Korean Cheetos that your local H-mart ran out of.
“So who did you have in mind, or are we also playing rock, paper, scissors for this?” Jimin wiggles his eyebrows playfully.
“I have someone in mind, but I’m not gonna say yet!” You say, then eat your chips. “I don’t think I’ll change my mind, but you can always try to win me over…perhaps.”
Namjoon chuckles, leaning forward. “You’re really going to keep us in suspense, huh?”
Yoongi smirks, nudging Namjoon. “Better step up your game, Joon. Looks like you’ve got some competition.” He gestures to himself and Jimin.
Jimin laughs, popping a cheese ball into his mouth. “Challenge accepted. Just wait and see, Y/N.”
Is this really going to be another virginity race with them?
You roll your eyes at their silliness. "I do not want to see this turn into a competition again, guys. So let’s just go with the flow. This is a democracy!" you declare, trying to maintain a light-hearted atmosphere about this before they start a fight over this.
Namjoon leans back comfortably on the couch, his expression thoughtful. "Fair enough," he concedes, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes. "But you know we're all going to do our best to win you over for this."
Yoongi chuckles softly, leaning in closer. "That's right. We'll make sure you know why we're the best choice," he says with a playful smirk.
Jimin nods eagerly, reaching for the wine bottle on the coffee table to refill his glass. "You can count on it," he chimes in, his gaze lingering on you with affection.
Outside, the last rays of sunlight filter through the curtains, painting fleeting patterns on the floor. The evening breeze rustles the leaves outside, a gentle reminder that time continues to move on. Inside, amidst the comfortable familiarity of your new shared space with your boyfriends, you take a moment to savor the scene, knowing there’s more to this love story with your soulmates for years to come.
Fin.
Hi everyone. I just want to thank you all for reading this fic since it was released almost one year ago, August 29th, 2023. As I mentioned before, I had actually thought up this fic on May 29, 2020 and fleshed it out a little more on May 26, 2021. I have a whole character chart on activities/personalities/etc and the first half of chapter 1 up until Yoongi and Reader got ready to go to the Gamma Party. Though, I never got to writing more than that as I ended up getting hired for my first job after college not long after. Last year I got laid off from said job, but there were many issues that had me on thin ice and burnout. Sometimes I wonder if I should've stayed longer and carried on with it. But nonetheless, this leads me to a lot of great small opportunities I’ve found in the past year through networking and meeting amazing people in the music industry. It also gave me time to be like, “I guess maybe I could go back to writing this fic now that I have too much time on my hands…”
I have written fics in the past, but never managed to finish any series. Well, there was an Attack on Titan fic with several thousands of reads on Wattpad, but i will not comment on this further haha.  So this was truly my return to writing. It’s funny because I had initially not planned the fic to end up this way. Yoonminjoon have been my bias line for the last 4 years, so I knew that’s the delusional focus I wanted. But definitely had various drafts and plans that could’ve gone differently. But to spoil you on some of those initial ideas…
The original fic plan had more emphasis on Jaebeom throughout the story as  (somewhat) an antagonist that would be dating Reader until Yoonminjoon would realize their feelings throughout the story and eventually snatch her away not long after the first 4 chapaters. Jaebeom was my GOT7 bias for a long time before I fell out of the fandom.
not an initial idea but aside from the poly / fwb stuff, there were a lot of events in this fic based on things that happen to me when i was in college a few years ago. i somehow had a pretty wholesome experience, but did have many guy friends than girl friends in college so that did help me in relationship dynamic writing
Other notes I had from 2020 drafts: [Joon, Jimin, Tae and Y/N work at Joon’s family coffee shop on the weekends. Yoongi goes back home sometimes to help his mom at their family restaurant, but mostly works as an underground composer and sells beats. Hobi works on campus in the library. Jin is...rich. Koo works at a chicken place.] Obviously most of this did not happen in this fic, as mentioned earlier in this chapter with changed job responsibilities. Though the one job mainly mentioned in the story was Reader working in the library.
Had more smoking, (light) drugs, etc. use involved. It’s mainly alcohol and weed, but even then it wasn’t heavily done which makes me want to go back and add more of this later on.
Not really initial notes but age/year timeline in this fic for anyone confused
Seniors: Jin, Hoseok (graduated high school early)
Juniors: Namjoon, Yoongi
Sophomores: Reader, Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkoo
Jimin cheating on Irene to get with Reader
I really wanted to do this because I wanted Irene to be more involved in the story, but that would make it too messy and dragged out. I would’ve had to make this story like 25 chapters if that were the case.
Also I don’t personally think Jimin would cheat on his gf in this fic or irl, so I didn’t want to write him like that. I had to break them up before he could do anything else.
Jackson
was supposed to be a bigger character in the series… but i accidentally did reduce him to “Jackson the party host”... but at least he’s Hoseok’s close friend  and show up often
Jin
I wanted to tie in more of the frat activities and dynamics in this fic as BTS is an unofficial frat on campus and he’s the leader of it, but I honestly don’t think was too important and could take away from the actual story
Jin was supposed to kick out Reader from the house as her relationships with her best friends got too messy and complex, though he didn’t want to do it.
Jihyo
Jihyo was supposed to date Namjoon longer and break up with him during the party where Reader ran into Yeonjun. Timeline should’ve been: Namjoon is at the TXT frat party with Jihyo -> Namjoon fights Yeonjun to protect reader -> Reader is shocked and upset -> Jihyo is confused and Namjoon comes clean about his feelings for Reader -> Break Up -> Namjoon confesses to Reader
I also wanted Jihyo to send the “confession” text to Reader regarding what Namjoon said at the Gamma Party much sooner, so when she saw Namjoon at the TXT frat party, she would know everything. But I couldn’t find a way to tie it in earlier during her fight with Yoonmin. Very messy stuff.
I thought Jihyo was the best choice as Namjoon’s side “love” interest in 2020/2021, but once all the Namjoon and Soyoon friendship photos started coming out, I kinda of abandoned Jihyo and changed my focus to Soyoon.
Soyoon
Soyoon takes on the side girl best friend role that Jihyo would’ve eventually had
Soyoon was supposed to date Namjoon briefly, but it was too messy to write in, so I just made Reader have initial suspicions before the truth came out in Ch 8
Reader and Namjoon weren’t supposed to sleep together after the Yeonjun fight. Soyoon was supposed to act as a wingman for Joon so he could apologize to Reader and then they would have their first time in the library. But I wrote things definitely so it wouldn’t end up like that.
Jungkook
Jungkook was supposed to be closer and more clingy to Reader. They have a close relationship, but I felt that it interfered with other things in the story, so I left it with the mention that he had a little crush on her and would hang out with her often.
Jungkook is the end game if Reader didn’t end up with Yoonminjoon. (hehe)
Namjoon
If there was only one end game from Yoonminjoon, it would’ve been Namjoon for obvious reasons.
If Reader ran into Namjoon right after her fight with yoonmin, that would’ve changed everything and lead him to be end game. I discussed with Rae about these through texts after I dropped Ch 8.
Yoongi
Initially planned for him to not be caught so soon by Jimin, but honestly, didn’t want to drag it out and didn’t know how to tie it better
Should’ve been more Yoongi smut scenes
I don’t know when or if I’ll ever write another series as it’s very time consuming. But for the LUL universe, I still have the LA LA LOST YOU prequel with Reader’s relationship with Yeonjun almost done. IDC (i don’t care) is another series I’ve been thinking of releasing filled with WHAT IFs~ (...Reader picked Namjoon, Reader picked Yoongi, Reader picked Jimin, Reader picks everyone in Beta Tau Sigma?, Reader slept with Jaebeom at the party, etc.). But all of that will have to wait. Let me know your thoughts in the meantime though!
Until then, thank you for all your support, and hopefully we meet again.
With luv, @melancholy-of-nadia

Title: Perfect
Pairing: Namjoon x Reader ft. Dragonite
Genre: Pokemon!au, fluff, crack
Word Count: 1.9K
The sound of your phone receiving a text message cuts through the dark silence of the early morning. You groan, peeling one eye open to glare at your nightstand. Really? You reach over because your curiosity is too strong even in your three-quarters still asleep state. Luckily, “pre-sleep you” was smart enough to dim your screen before going to bed so the dulled brightness is only a little assaulting to your retinas when you push the home button. Immediately, a tired smile spreads your mouth wide, all animosity felt toward the sender diminishing when you see that it’s none other than the boy you’ve been texting nonstop for the past two weeks.
Joonie: hey, r u awake?
Y/N: I am now :)
Joonie: shoot Im sorry …
Y/N: no its okay. I would hav been mad if it was anyone else.
Joonie: well, I promise I hav a reason for texting u this early.
Y/N: yea, u do realize its still dark outside, right?
Joonie: thats actually why I texted u. R u busy?
Y/N: …what do u think?
Joonie: right. duh. sleeping. well…
Joonie: do u want to go for a ride with me?
Y/N: a ride? like a car ride?
Joonie: um…not exactly…how quickly could u get ready?
Y/N: depends on what “ready” means.
Joonie: hmm dress for cold weather.
Y/N: its the middle of summer, joon. Even at 4 in the morning its already prolly 60 degrees out. How cold r we talking here?
Joonie: really cold.
Y/N: Im confused.
Joonie: just trust me.
It feels so wrong to be shrugging on the winter coat you had to dig out of the back of your closet as you head out of your apartment. Luckily, no one else is out at this ungodly hour which saves you from having to endure the confused looks. Though if you did run into someone, they’d see that you’re just as confused. That is, until you make it outside where Namjoon said he’d be to meet you. You expected him to be waiting for you in his car. Even on foot wouldn’t be as surprising as the scene you step into once you’re out the front door of your apartment.
Your eyes settle on the giant, orange dragon standing in the middle of the road. The thing is massive. You’ve seen a few Dragonite in your lifetime but never one as big as this thing. It has to be at least twelve feet tall. And while initially it’s terrifying to see such a giant Pokémon just standing there right outside of your apartment—and staring at you, nonetheless—the fear melts away as you meet its eyes. There’s something gentle about the way it looks at you curiously. Its rounded nose and crinkling eyes almost make it look like the thing is smiling.
“Hey, Y/N!”
You only just now realize that the Dragonite isn’t here by itself and you tear your gaze away from its own to look further back at the boy sitting just above its wings.
“Namjoon?” His own eyes lift along with his mouth into a bright smile and even though it’s dark out—the only light being that from the streetlamp across the street and down a bit—you can still see those deep dimples that had you captivated in the first place. “What are you doing here?”
“I was wondering if you wanted to go for a ride,” he says and reaches up to pat his Dragonite on the head. The Pokémon lets out a contented noise, the sound echoing down the block and you take an intimidated step backward.
“Uh, is it safe?” you ask. That was a dumb question. Obviously it is or Namjoon wouldn’t be offering, right?
“Completely,” he replies then swings his leg out from over its wing and slides down off its back. He holds out a hand to you and smiles wider, those dimples growing impossibly deeper. “I have a surprise for you.”
You look down at his offered hand. You haven’t known Namjoon for very long. You met him only about a month ago when he first started volunteering at the Pokémon Center you work at.
You remember his first day there, how you couldn’t seem to keep your eyes from wandering over to him whenever the two of you were in the same room. How you couldn’t help but go a bit soft when you saw the way he handled each Pokémon with such care and tenderness, how he’d speak so gently to them, how they would visibly relax at his soothing words.
He was nice to you from the get-go. The two of you would exchange playful banter and joke around quite a bit. It was obvious you liked each other and you wanted to address it, but at the same time you were so worried that he was just one of those guys that’s nice to everyone and to say anything would just make things awkward. It was a relief when he finally broke down and asked for your number. You gave it to him maybe a little too eagerly but luckily for you, he thought your excitement was cute—and you blushed when he said as much.
But here he is now, that gentle smile on his handsome face, his eyes sparkling, his hand held out to you and you can’t help but feel intrigue and excitement bubbling up inside you. Even if it weren’t for your overpowering curiosity, what kind of person would pass up the opportunity to ride on the back of a Dragonite? And a giant one nonetheless. These are your last thoughts as you shyly reach up to place your hand in his and smile back at him. His hand is so warm wrapped around yours and so solid as he tugs you toward the giant Pokémon behind him.
You watch as Namjoon climbs back up onto it then he reaches down and you wrap your fingers around his wrist. He grips your own wrist and pulls hard. You can’t help the squeal that escapes as he pulls you up so easily with just his one arm. You scramble up, being careful where you place your feet so you don’t accidentally step on the joint where the wings connect to the dragon Pokémon’s back as you settle down behind Namjoon. He still has ahold of your one hand and now you reach around with the other to join it with the first.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Dragonite as big as this one,” you say. He feels so warm and solid in your arms even through both of your coats.
“I rescued it when it was still just a Dratini from that lab on Cinnabar Island.”
“I’ve heard of that place,” you say. “They do some pretty awful stuff there to Pokémon, don’t they?”
“Yeah,” Namjoon utters and you can hear the anger in his voice. “I’m not sure what they did to it but it was already bigger than any Dratini I’d ever seen before. And I knew that wasn’t normal and that I needed to get it out of there. Luckily, there doesn’t seem to be any other negative effects from whatever they did to it.” Namjoon pats the Pokémon on the head again, eliciting another happy, echoing moan from it.
“You’re amazing,” you utter and immediately feel your cheeks turn red. Did you really just say that out loud?
Namjoon turns his head so he can see you out of the corner of his eye and his cheek lifts in another dimpled grin. “Nah,” he says. “I just try to be a good person, you know?”
You nod and the two of you sit in silence atop the Pokémon for several more moments.
“So, uh,” you finally say. “Is this what you wanted to show me?”
Namjoon perks up. “Oh right,” he says and gives his Dragonite two firm pats on its neck. The Dragonite shifts, dipping its head low and unfolding its wings from either side of you. Then with a hard push against the ground, it kicks up into the air and you squeal, clutching onto the boy in front of you for dear life.
He lets out a chuckle. “It’s okay, Y/N,” he assures you. “Just keep ahold of me and you won’t fall.”
“Will do,” you reply though you don’t think he can hear you over the wind whistling past your ears.
It’s a good thing you’re holding onto him so tightly because as soon as the Dragonite reaches an incredibly terrifying height—the city lights below you now looking more like stars than the actual ones above you—you remember reading that Dragonite can actually fly faster than the speed of sound. And just as you tighten your grip even more on Namjoon’s waist, the dragon Pokémon shoots forward, cutting through the night sky like a bullet. You grit your teeth and press your cheek against Namjoon’s back to keep the wind from stealing your breath away.
Much to your relief, it’s not long before you feel the Dragonite begin to slow down again and when it’s at last going at a more comfortable pace, you lift your head and peer around. It’s still kind of dark out but now the sky is more of a medium blue and the stars have disappeared. Nothing but ocean stretches for miles below you.
“Where are we?” you ask looking around confusedly.
“Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean,” Namjoon replies nonchalantly.
You nod slowly. “And why, exactly are we somewhere over the Pacific Ocean?”
The boy places his hands over your own. They’re much warmer than yours and suddenly you’re glad he told you to dress warmly because it is freaking freezing up there over the ocean. “Because I wanted to show you that,” he says then nods at the horizon in front of him.
You focus farther ahead, past Namjoon’s shoulders and over Dragonite’s head until your eyes land on the line where the ocean ends and the sky begins. At first, you can’t see much of a separation between the two similar shades of blue, but then a sliver of bright orange appears, awakening the sky, shooting streaks of lavender upward. Your breath catches as you watch in silent awe.
The sun rises faster than you thought it would, every inch it gains throwing different colors like buckets of paint across the sky. From dazzling pink to sherbet orange to marigold, and the ocean reflects them all back, the rising sun at the epicenter of this incredible masterpiece being created before you.
You feel tears spring to your eyes and you immediately feel like an absolute dork for being moved to tears by something like a sunrise but the sight along with the feeling of Namjoon’s thumbs rubbing circles across the back of your hand just sends your emotions into overdrive.
This is perfect.
This is perfect and you never want it to end. In a moment of impulsivity, you lean forward and rest your chin on Namjoon’s shoulder. The simple gesture feels so intimate in this silence and maybe he sees it as that too because you hear his breath hitch and his thumb freezes on your skin for a split second before continuing the motion. His own cheek rests against the side of your head and you sigh.
Too perfect.
