Introduction

The beginning of Takumi and Gii’s sparkly days

Over 15 years since the first 2007 film adaptation of the Takumi kun Series, a popular “boys’ love” novel series with over 5 million copies in print, a new series has been launched with a new cast and story. The film is a combination of three titles from the Kanzen-ban 1 (omnibus edition) of the original novels—

Akatsuki wo Matsumade (tr. Until I Wait for the Dawn)

Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite (tr. And Then, I Whisper into the Spring Breeze)

Nagai Nagai Monogatari no Hajimari no Asa (tr. The Morning of the Beginning of a Long, Long Story).

[This is the order in which the stories appear in the omnibus edition. Third story is new addition to the novel series.]

It portrays Takumi’s encounter with Gii on the day of Shido Academy’s entrance exam and the beginning of their sparkly days.

Takumi Hayama, one of the main characters, is played by Shion Morishita, a new actor stepping into the spotlight in 2023

Giichi Saki (Gii), the other main character, is played by Daigo Kato, who is a musician as well as a cast member of musicals Touken Ranbu and HYPNOSIS MIC Division Rap Battle Rule the Stage.

Story

On the day of Shido Academy’s entrance exam, Takumi witnesses Gii for the first time--

On the day of Shido Academy’s entrance exam, Gii (Giichi Saki), who stands out in a crowd with his striking presence, walks past Takumi Hayama in the hallway. Takumi is mesmerized by Gii’s exotic, attractive appearance.

When school starts, Takumi is treated like a freak by his classmates because of his fear of touching and being touched by other people.

But Takumi manages to get by, thanks to Toshihisa Katakura, his only good friend and roommate in the dorm. However, the peaceful days don’t last very long.

In the library, third-year student Kei Aso asks Takumi to participate in the campus “shrine hunt” event with him.

Izumi Takabayashi, who’s head over heels in love with Gii, and students who idolize Takabayashi start picking on Takumi.

When Takabayashi realizes that his beloved Gii not only shrugs him off but is also interested in Takumi the freak, he gets consumed with jealousy and masterminds an attack on Takumi.

Spring comes, and Takumi and Gii are now second-year students. They’re assigned to the same room in the dorm, and their relationship gets much closer.

Then Takabayashi makes another move and drives Takumi into a corner. Gii realizes Takabayashi’s plot and tries to save Takumi, however...

And thus starts Takumi and Gii’s long, long sparkly story.

Drama CD1: Delusion -JANEN-

Genuinely can't find any good information on where to put this one, compared to the second, which is pretty concretely best placed as an epilogue. At time of writing have put it between Night 14 and Night 15, but left posting until I felt more comfortable.

Sakura asking who we are, then screams.

Keita, Hinoki are out on a walk, from behind they're told to slow down, Keita especially not considering Sakura. Also along for the walk are Ushi, and classmates Yamamoto Yoko; Yanto, Hasegawa Mako; Hasechin, Hinagata Ai; Hina, these three might be Hinoki's friends. Ushi seems to be thinking of this as a chance to hook up with the girls, thinking he might try Sakura, since he thinks Keita is already spoken for with Hinoki. It seems like a camping trip, and You are also there. The group runs into some first years, including Hatsuno Ayame, who calls Ushi senpai, the others are, I believe Kitajima Aki, Yamagucho Hiroko and Takeda Yumi.

Later in the cabin, Keita and Ushi gossip.

Sakura and Hinoki talk, this is a rare chance for Sakura to be out in the world without Kakuseijin. Hinoki gets called back by one of the girls.

As Keita and Ushi mess around, they're approached by a girl who seems to know Keita, she introduces herself as Ritchan's cousin, Satchan; Nakayama Satsuko, she invites herself along.

They hear scary stories from Ayame and Ushi, Hinoki and Keita stop Sakura sharing one, and then Satchan shares one, which terrified everyone, about how the town was abandoned 20 years ago. They then decide to take a test of courage, journeying into the abandoned town in groups.

Keita is with Hina, Hinoki, Ayame and You, while Ushi is with Sakura, Yando and Hasechin, and Satchan is with the other first years. As Your group talks, Ayame makes a comment about Ushi choking to go with the other girls which makes some of the group realise she has feelings for him, though she denies it. Keita uses the bug repellent for it's intended use, but then something appears and you all run for it.

You awaken, chained in a damp room with only Hina, and can hear the first years screaming. Something kills Hina by impaling, after which Ushi and co find you, and then Hina's corpse. Everyone is naturally pretty horrified, Satchan reveals everyone left town after some sort of illness turned people into slashers, Keita suspects Algernon and starts really questioning Satchan's identity, but everyone is force to run again when the sounds return.

Everyone finds themselves cornered, Sakura calls out by the Limpid Channel, and Lamia appears to defend them, they run, and after words from Seeme he uses Pectoflex to immobilise the attackers, 8 think revealed as the first years. Lamia and Seeme leave just as quickly, Hinoki still questioning the protection, having suspecting she knows who he is.

Satchan reappears, wanting them to follow.

They follow her to a well, at which point she thanks Keita and leaps down. Looking down, all they can see are bones, but Sakura can tell those bones are Satchan.

Miyako goes over the facts of the incident with Akamatsu and Keita. It wasn't Algernon, but improperly disposed of chemicals that drove the population mad, confirmed by Yanagi and Kaede checking the area out with Tyran. Ritchan confirms Satchan was her cousin. Her older cousin, who vanished 20 years ago, evidently the first victim of the chemicals. There's still the question of the death that night. That was done by You, infected with Algernon, and so You're to be put into Mode Warp custody, indefinitely.

UDG and OC Quirks

Here's the quirks of the people introduced in UDG (the only ones who really appear in this AU). Along with my OC/Her half siblings, because of course I gave them quirks too.

UDG:

Komaru: Blend In- She is able to go completely invisible to any sort of detection. However it extends even when she’s not using it to make her rather forgettable.

Masaru: Endless Energy- he never gets tired or worn out. However, this also causes overheating if still got to long.

Jataro: Angel Face- Anyone who views their face is immediately incompacitated due to the adorableness

Kotoko: Magma- She can turn her body into magma, and is able to mold preexisting magma under the surface to her hearts content.

Nagisa: Logical Connection- when speaking on any topic, the more he talks about it the more knowledge on a subject enters his mind.

Monaca: Electrical Summon- She can summon any electronic she has ever touched to her. (She pretends to be quirkless)

Haiji: Pheromone Emission- he can release a sickeningly sweet liquid that causes whoever consumes or comes into contact with it through a open wound becomes enamored with him.

Hiroko: Astute- She is able to notice the smallest detail about anything, including what people say.

Taichi: Upload- By touching an electrical device he can transfer (and control) a piece of his own conscious into it, however if anything happens to either Taichi or one of the pieces he promptly refuse (which can cause the tech to go haywire)

OCs:

Kei Watanabe: Impenetrable Flesh- his skin is completely immune to damage, however after to many blows his internal structures can still become damage.

Onyx Hara: Ghostly- She can temporarily leave her body and do all the stereotypical ghost things, however her body is left vulnerable.

Mizuki Nakayama: Wing Beat- She has a incredibly soft wings, and on top of being able to fly she is able to summon mini hurricanes by flapping hard enough.

Ceto Rackham: Teleport- They can teleport any living thing to any place she can visualize

Caelus Rackham: Transportulate: he can teleport any non living thing to any place he can visualize.

Fuyuko Watanabe: Nightshade- her blood as the exact same properties as the Nightshade plants, and can take effect either by exposure or ingesting.
