PRESS RELEASE: Second Annual ‘Marvelous Game Showcase’ Delivers Exciting Updates on Fan-favorite STORY OF SEASONS and Rune Factory Series; Reveals NARUTO: Arcade Battle for North America, and More
Tumblr media
Second Annual ‘Marvelous Game Showcase’ Delivers Exciting Updates on Fan-favorite STORY OF SEASONS and Rune Factory Series; Reveals NARUTO: Arcade Battle for
North America, and More
New Looks for Additional Titles in Development Include Opening Animation for
Monster Farming / Action Title Farmagia and Striking New Teaser for DAEMON X MACHINA: Titanic Scion
TORRANCE, Calif., — May 30, 2024 — Marvelous USA, Inc. and XSEED Games today shared a localized version of parent company Marvelous Inc.’s second annual ‘Marvelous Game Showcase,’ which debuted today at 3:00pm PT. President Suminobu Sato hosted the showcase and was joined by key members of development teams to provide updates on titles announced in last year's event, and announce new regional and global initiatives for the Marvelous family of companies.
youtube
Farmagia (formerly Project Magia): Product Manager Takehiro Ishida revealed the official title of the project, Farmagia, and presented the game’s opening animation, giving gamers an action-packed look at the cast of characters and powers they wield. Ishida-san also shared details on key characters in the game, designed by popular artist Hiro Mashima, including Ten, the protagonist who often acts before thinking; Arche, his childhood friend who balances both kindness and a competitive nature; Chica, another childhood friend with a more reserved demeanor; and Lookie-Loo, Ten’s sidekick and de-facto mascot. The title is planned for a global release in 2024.
STORY OF SEASONS: The next, as-yet-untitled entry in the beloved franchise continues its development as the team focuses on improvements to the visual presentation and natural environments. Series Manager Hikaru Nakano joined to debut a fresh look at the results of their efforts, highlighting how aspects such as updated natural lighting and festival fireworks have been improved to enhance immersion and atmosphere. The project remains in active development and will be fully revealed at a later date. In the meantime, Nakano-san confirmed new gameplay features including a player-controlled glider and the return of fan-favorite pets.
Amusement Section: Marvelous Inc. supports more than just PC and console entertainment and announced a number of new arcade initiatives including NARUTO: Arcade Battle, which will be available in North America this summer. Players will experience the world of NARUTO on a massive 50” screen, where they’ll engage in intense ninjutsu battles and collect plates to reach the highest rank they can! Arcade titles for Japan release only were also presented.
Indie Partner Lineup: The Marvelous family continues to invest in helping creative and exciting visions from smaller indie developers become a reality with global support for titles! Titles introduced for worldwide release include Bitsummit 2023 Grand Prize winner Death the Guitar, where players become an electric guitar fighting with the power of death metal to avenge their owner, planned for a 2025 release; and Moonlight Peaks, the supernatural-themed vampire farming/life sim title from Dutch developer Little Chicken, scheduled for 2026 release. One additional title, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, was also presented for release in Asia and Japan by Marvelous on July 28, 2024.
Rune Factory: Following a brief history on the evolution of the Rune Factory series and how it has grown across nine titles released over 18 years, Rune Factory series Director Shiro Maekawa joined the stream to reveal a new video for Rune Factory: PROJECT DRAGON sharing a look at the title’s protagonists. Players can choose to play as either Subaru or Kaguya, two new Earthmates with a twist; they will use the power of dance, rather than farming, to communicate and interact with the world around them. This new approach to interacting with the world comes with non-combat tools, including parasols and drums; series staple weapons like swords; and brand-new weapon types to experiment with, including bows and talismans.
DAEMON X MACHINA: Titanic Scion: First revealed during last year’s Marvelous Game Showcase, DAEMON X MACHINA: Titanic Scion once again closed out the show, where President Sato-san shared an evocative look at Marvelous’ First Studio’s mech-action sequel.  Additional details including platforms and a release window will be announced at a later date.
To celebrate the Showcase, select STORY OF SEASONS and Rune Factory titles will be on sale for up to 60% off on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch™ through June 7, 2024.

How I pinkify my code editor/IDE!
Tumblr media
Continuing on posting about how I making my coding experience more fun, I'll be going to show you what I did to pinkify my:
code editor (VSCode)
IDE (Visual Studio)
Tumblr media
Visual Studio
Theme
So, let's start with Visual Studio because I use that the most because of work! I installed themes to it (here is a post I made on how to install the exact ones I have (install once, comes with lots of themes)) and I changed the fonts!
Best you follow my installation post, as the themes I will list now will be from that exact theme set I installed (called "The Doki Theme"). I'm a fan of Light themes more than the Dark ones for VS:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ Natsuki Light (the theme in the pictures + my favourite) ♡ Beatrice ♡ Mai Light ♡ Miia ♡ Mioda Ibuki Light ♡ Nakano Itsuki ♡ Nakano Nino ♡ Ram
Themes 'Beatrice' to 'Ram' have pink in the themes but it's not the main colour of the theme, if that makes sense, but still cool to me so I switch to them every so often! ヾ(^-^)ノ
Fonts
Sometimes I get tired of the monospace font on my code editor. I know it's almost a crime to change the font of your code editor/IDE but I get bored so easily, a well-known trait of mine, and want to spice things up again so I change the font! As well as that, my eyes have a hard time reading the code after a while because of the monospace font! I still sometimes use it though~! (´;ω;`)
But first, for those who don't know how to change the font + font size (if you want also) in Visual Studio:
♡ Toolbar > Tools > Options > Environment > Fonts and Colors > Font
Okay, so I split my chosen fonts so you can pick according to your font style taste~! :
Sans Serif
♡ Bahnschrift SemiLight ♡ Calibri ♡ Gadugi ♡ Segoe UI Semilight ♡ Segoe UI Historic ♡ Yu Gothic
Serif
♡ SimSun
Monospace
♡ Modern ♡ Terminal
That's it for Visual Studio!
Tumblr media
Visual Studio Code
Theme
These are my favourite themes and the first one is the one I am currently using! To learn how to change the theme on VSCode: here. Now my chosen themes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
♡ Cute (no. 1 shown) ♡ Fluffy Theme ♡ Huacat Pink Theme ♡ Light Pink (no. 2 shown) ♡ PinkyBoo ♡ Tinacious Design (Light) from Tinacious Design theme ♡ Dark Pink from Light Pink Theme (no. 4 shown) ♡ Her. ♡ Kawaine Theme ♡ Pink Cat Boo ♡ PinkBlue from PinkBlue Theme ♡ Robot Light Pink (no. 4 shown)
Fonts
The current font I have on VSCode is Trebuchet MS. But the font mentioned before are the ones I used in VSCode as well! To change the font in VSCode:
♡ Settings > type in the search bar 'Font' > Editor: Font Family
That's all!
Tumblr media
I hope this was a fun read and helps someone! Make you're coding environment fun! (and pink) 🥰💗

KUMA: Never Ending Bond, Chapter 1, Part 4 (Translation)
Preface & Prologue Chapter 1, Part 1 & 2 Chapter 1, Part 3
An episode with HIDE and KUMA, always together
The red mohair sweater HIDE-san was wearing, among other times, at the live at Tokyo Dome, had actually been my own sweater than I had been wearing… When HIDE-san saw me in it, he said, “That’s great, KUMA, lend it to me,” and spontaneously wore it when he went out for the event’s encore.
After that, the fan club made special HIDE-san mohairs, because all the fans wanted them. I still have the various mohairs that I used to wear in partner-look with HIDE-san long ago. The red-and-black striped one that he liked to wear a lot, the same one in black-and-violet, and so on.
And while we’re on the topic of clothes, there was the sari that he wore for encores and advertisements. It tore easily, so I stitched it often. When he wore it for a concert, I always had to have safety pins ready for when it tore. I was always careful with it.
Come to think of it, HIDE-san was wearing the sari for the artist-photos when they debuted, so of course it left a deep impression.
Because there hadn’t been a visual artist that original before him, they said.
Also, we painted his guitars together.
Like the guitar with the psychedelic colors and the paisley pattern that Shishô used as his main guitar. We painted that backstage, and I still think it is so cool.
Shishô asked me, “Do you have anything round?” and I passed him the cap of a spray can. I drew as well, imitating the things Shishô had started with.
Aside from that… most of my memories of Shishô are about music.
Thanks to him, I got to hear a lot of different music when we were together.
Shishô had liked Nirvana since their indies debut in ’89, and there was a period when he was constantly holding Nirvana CDs or photos.
When they came to Japan for the first time in ’92, he invited me: “KUMA, let’s go see them live,” and we went to Nakano Sun Plaza together.
I remember that concert very often. The concert itself lasted only an hour – and there wasn’t really anything like a set on stage.
But instead of being lacking for it, it was overflowing with energy and we were extremely satisfied with it. In regard to this, Shishô observed, “Turns out, something doesn’t need to be long in order to be good.”
There were a lot of bands like Nirvana that Shishô was interested in before their popular break out, and another one that he liked to listen to a lot was Jane’s Addiction.
When I think about it, Shishô was a hard-working person who learned a lot about anything he was interested in. Oh well, I think he really loved music.
Speaking of learning, HIDE-san often told me, “KUMA, you should read more books.”
But that story is tied to the episode of HIDE-san teaching me how to write song lyrics…
What he often said about it was:
“I start by writing what I want to say down like a journal entry. Then I adapt these words to the melody, but when there are words I want to convey, I replace them with better words and phrases. If I were to put down the original version, it would just be a diary entry. That’s why I write it over and over, as if looking for the right puzzle piece.”
“It is important to distinguish between images that can be interpreted in any way, and those that conjure up realistic scenarios. There is no right or wrong way to interpret a song, so what I value is description. It is important to have at least one realistic scene that invokes the same feeling in everyone and allows them to instantly get a sense of the scenery, the world.”  That’s what he told me many times.
Regarding HIDE-san, he was someone who read a lot of books. He simply loved writing… That’s why he put such an emphasis on words… He read a lot of books by authors like Mishima Norio. While he was writing the lyrics for “Miscast”, HIDE-san asked me, “Do you understand what this means?” When we were talking about the lyrics, he said, “You should read more books. Start with these authors,” and recommended me Mishima Norio and Hoshi Shinichi.
I still remember how HIDE-san wrote the names of those two into my notebook right there.
Aside from that, Shishô didn’t just read novels but also looked at fashion magazines a lot.
While aboard, he also ran around in search of various issues and made the concept for his own clothes. I said it before, but he was not someone to slack off in his efforts.
