Adding on more issues that specifically will get worse under Trump now that non-natives should look out for:
- Reducing funding for the FDPIR. Now the FDPIR has passed out contaminated food on reservations before, and with the Trump cabinets promise to continue to deregulate the food industry even after the destruction of the Chevron Act, it WILL get worse. Especially if funding to the FDPIR is cut. So donate to reservation food programs in your area, like NAFSA. You’ll usually see it be called “food sovereignty programs” if you look around locally.
- Gutting NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act). You MAY see some tribal governments aligning with this deregulation. Do NOT be fooled by this. We’re regular, fallible human beings. And while institutions like the National Park Service have been historically used to steal land from our treaties, NEPA was developed with the direct involvement of tribal governments in mind. Gutting it will be used to further pollute reservation land and destroy tribal land sovereignty. Keep an eye on what happens in your area once the Trump administration starts in on NEPA. This is the policy you can familiarize yourself with about what your role would be in NEPA and you can continue to advocate this way even as it’s being tampered with.
- Abolishing HeadStart, which is a federal education program used by many Americans. But is disproportionately used by native communities. Its abolishment would leave tens of thousands of native children without proof of education. Pay attention to private schooling programs in your area. They may be used to close the gap or they may be used the way they were used only a generation ago to “kill the Indian, save the child.”
- BANNING tribal governments from entering into federal loan agreements (yes, this is real, go to page 383 in Project 2025, it mentions tribal governments specifically). They want to eventually eliminate the Loan Program Office in the Department of the Interior. This would be catastrophic and mean your direct involvement in supporting tribal communities is VITAL!
- Finally, if you want an overview with explanatory links of everything talked about above, including what dogfish posted about, this is a good breakdown of how Project 2025 is going to affect Native communities.
do not forget about reservations.
do not forget about the people on reservations.
when you are making and reading posts about dire predictions for quality of life, do not forget about reservations.
we already have issues accessing clean water. we already experience devastation from climate change. we are already going missing for our race. we are already being murdered for our culture.
it will only get worse.
it’s possible to live through. every single person indigenous to north america has a chance to live through this. i’m not trying to fear monger; i’m trying to remind you.
please do not forget about us when you assure people that “everything will be okay; people are living under far worse circumstances in other countries”.
people are living under far worse circumstances here. and it can get worse. and it will get worse. and we need you to remember that we’re here when it happens.

“Gak Usah Sok Care!
“Wes ta lah! Gak usah banyak drama! Semua orang sedang berjuang! Semuanya capek! Semuanya punya masalah sendiri-sendiri! ”
(QS. Al-Baqarah: 195).
Maasyaallah...

Buku Lama
Beberapa waktu kita perlu membuka buku catatan lama, catatan belajar, kajian, atau draft tulisan lama.
Kenapa?
Kalau kata bunda biar eling, ingat kalau kita dulu pernah belajar, murajaah kembali.

Affordable Study Abroad programs
Study Abroad Programs offer students unparalleled opportunities for personal growth, academic enrichment, and cultural immersion. However, the escalating costs of these international programs, particularly in Europe, have become a significant barrier for many students. The rising expenses, often driven by inflation, present a daunting challenge for those aspiring to experience education on a global scale.
Strategic Solutions to Rising Costs
How can educators and institutions overcome these financial hurdles? The answer lies in a strategic and innovative approach to designing and implementing study abroad programs. Here are some effective strategies to make global education more accessible:
Explore the Arts and Humanities Programs: https://authentica.com/disciplines/arts-and-humanities/
1. Diversify Your Program Providers
In the past, studying abroad often required a substantial financial commitment. However, educators now have the opportunity to expand their selection of program providers, seeking out those that offer affordable options without compromising on quality.
For example, Authentica is dedicated to delivering top-quality customized and open-enrollment internships, faculty-led programs, and professional development opportunities at costs that are often 20-40% lower than comparable North American providers. With a Net Promoter Score (NPS) exceeding 90, Authentica proves that affordability and excellence can go hand in hand.
Upcoming programs, such as "Savouring UK’s Rich Heritage and Diversity" and "Diversity and Inclusion in Spanish Sports Culture" in Europe, and "Exploring Climate Change Solutions in South Korea" in Asia, offer students a chance to experience international education at competitive prices. These programs are designed to be accessible to a wider range of students, ensuring that financial constraints don't stand in the way of a transformative global experience.
2. Unlock Scholarships and Financial Aid
Encourage students to actively seek out scholarships and financial aid tailored specifically for study abroad programs. Numerous merit-based scholarships and need-based assistance are available, offering significant financial relief.
Students should explore various scholarship opportunities, including those targeted at specific demographics, such as the NAFSA Tamara H. Bryant Memorial Scholarship for African-American students or the Rainbow Scholarship for LGBTQIA+ students. By taking advantage of these resources, students can turn their dreams of studying abroad into reality, regardless of their financial background.

3. Leverage Local Resources for Cost Efficiency
To make study abroad programs more affordable, consider utilizing local resources in the host countries. Partnering with local experts and organizations can reduce planning and operational costs, as well as enhance the program’s cultural authenticity.
For instance, instead of expensive hotel venues, opt for university classrooms or coworking spaces for lectures and workshops. This not only cuts costs but also provides students with a more immersive experience by integrating them into the local community. Additionally, using public transport or walking for city explorations can be both economical and enriching, allowing students to engage more deeply with the host culture.
4. Embrace Economical Choices for Enriched Experiences
Making cost-conscious decisions during the program can significantly reduce expenses while enhancing the overall experience. Choosing budget-friendly options, such as local transport over private coaches, can provide students with a richer, more authentic cultural immersion.
Educational Study Abroad Programs: https://authentica.com/disciplines/short-term-educational-programs/
5. Maximize Economies of Scale
Organizing study abroad programs for larger groups can lead to significant cost savings. Bulk discounts on airfare, lodging, and activities can make programs more affordable for all participants. Consider strategies like collaborating with multiple faculty members or opening programs to students from other departments or universities to increase group size.
Building a Future of Accessible Global Education
By collaborating, innovating, and choosing the right program providers, educators can create affordable study abroad opportunities that unlock the transformative power of international education for all students. It’s not about cutting corners on quality; it’s about finding creative ways to maximize value. Together, we can break down the financial barriers and open the world to a new generation of global citizens. Let’s move forward and make global learning accessible to everyone.

The Ultimate Guide to Finding the Best Abroad Consultancy Near Me
Are you dreaming of studying abroad but feeling overwhelmed by the process? Seeking guidance from a reputable "abroad consultancy near me" can be a game-changer. These consultancies specialize in helping students navigate the complexities of studying overseas, from choosing the right destination to completing visa applications. If you're ready to embark on this exciting journey, here are some essential tips to help you find the best abroad consultancy near you:
1. Research Local Consultancies
Start by researching consultancies in your area that specialize in international education. Use search engines or ask for recommendations from friends, teachers, or alumni who have studied abroad. Look for consultancies with a strong track record of successful placements and positive reviews from students.
Ensure the consultancy's services align with your needs. Some focus on specific countries or academic programs, so choose one that can cater to your preferences.
2. Check Accreditation and Experience
Verify the consultancy's credentials. Reputable agencies often have affiliations with professional bodies like ICEF (International Consultants for Education and Fairs) or NAFSA (Association of International Educators). Accreditation ensures that the consultancy adheres to ethical standards and provides reliable services.
Additionally, consider their experience. Established consultancies with years of experience are more likely to have a robust network of university partners and understand the intricacies of the application process.
3. Evaluate Services Offered
Look beyond basic advisory services. A comprehensive consultancy should assist you with every step of the process, including university selection, application guidance, visa support, and pre-departure orientation. They should also provide insights on scholarships, accommodation, and cultural integration.
Inquire about personalized services tailored to your academic background and career goals. A consultancy that offers mock interviews or resume reviews can significantly enhance your chances of acceptance.
4. Schedule Consultation Meetings
Arrange consultations with shortlisted consultancies. Use this opportunity to assess their professionalism and expertise. Prepare a list of questions regarding study destinations, application timelines, and costs.
During the meeting, gauge their responsiveness and willingness to address your concerns. A trustworthy consultancy will prioritize transparency and provide realistic expectations about your chances of admission.
5. Seek Student Testimonials
Request testimonials from previous clients or alumni who used the consultancy's services. Hearing firsthand experiences can offer valuable insights into the consultancy's effectiveness and client satisfaction. Pay attention to success stories related to your desired study destination or field of study.
Positive testimonials indicate that the consultancy has a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic aspirations abroad.
Conclusion
Choosing the right "abroad consultancy near me" is pivotal to your study abroad journey. By conducting thorough research, evaluating services, and seeking recommendations, you can identify a consultancy that aligns with your aspirations and supports you throughout the application process. Remember, studying abroad is an investment in your future, and a reputable consultancy can make this transformative experience smooth and rewarding.
Whether you're aiming for universities in the USA, UK, Australia, or elsewhere, a dedicated consultancy can simplify the complex process of studying abroad. Take the first step today by reaching out to local consultancies and embarking on an exciting educational adventure beyond borders!
