Night of the Fireflies (Storyline) 

Manga spoilers: Claire goes on a journey and finds herself in the Spade Kingdom. Nacht/Claire centric. 

Lucina’s secret led Claire to investigate the mysterious energy that was growing within the Spade Kingdom. Claire started traveling around in disguise and interacted among the Spade locals. From here she would discover the atrocities being committed by the Zogratis siblings to the innocent citizens. The soldiers were granted the devil’s power and brought terror wherever they went, while the citizens lived in fear of them. 

Claire would meet the Spade resistance and assist them in their efforts to protect the people from the evil followers of the Zogratis siblings. She would go to places, rescuing kidnapped civilians and bringing them to the resistance’s hideout. Through her efforts she would then meet and befriend Queen Ciel. 

Eventually Nacht and Claire’s paths would cross. Nacht was shocked to find Claire in Spade, but his initial reaction was to push her away because of his guilt from Morgen’s death. Yet Claire wasn’t showing signs of hostility towards him. Instead, she voiced her concern that what Nacht was doing was even more dangerous. 

Nacht focused on his mission as a spy and gathered information on the Zogratis’ plans while Claire kept running around to rescue Spade civilians. He couldn’t understand the reason behind her actions and berated that her kindness would eventually get her killed.  

Then one unfortunate event led to a battle between Vanica and Claire after Vanica tried to find out about the rumors of a spy loitering in Spade. The fight would end with Claire sustaining a mortal injury, but Nacht helped her escape from the battle against Vanica. 

Claire’s limp and bloodied body in Nacht’s arms brought back bitter memories to Nacht. He did his best to find a way to save Claire. He vowed that not another righteous person would die in his arms. He swallowed all his pride and begged Queen Ciel to heal Claire. 

Fortunately, Claire and Queen Ciel already had a shared bond and healed her without question. 

A worried Nacht stayed by her side until she was able to regain consciousness. He then apologized to Claire and told the whole story on what happened with Morgen’s death. 

Claire patiently listened to his story. When he finished, Claire told him that she knew all along and hated that she could’ve spared Morgen his death if only she dared to stop him instead. But because she cared too much about hurting Morgen’s feelings, they all ended up getting hurt as a result. 

She told Nacht that she couldn’t handle losing anyone important to her anymore. And how he should also value his life, as it was the life that Morgen saved. 

But Nacht continued to act stubbornly as he thought he didn’t deserve to be forgiven and went off. He left Claire under the Resistance’s care while she was recovering from her injuries.

Black Clover Pacific Rim Au

Hi everyone I had this idea some time ago and talked to some people about. Few of us actually started writing something and it looked pretty good. This is still an open idea and very much a WIP, but I wanted to finally share it 💕 (took me 1.5 months to do so)

Some main information

Jeager pairings are the same as combo parings in BC mobile game (I'll go through them below)

This is the time, when the jesger program was at its peak, so there is a lot of them and they are well organised

Characters are stationed at the Clover base (which is in Japan) officially run by Augustus Kira (he's terrified of Kaiju and is there only to uphold his reputation and position)

The story starts with Asta and Yuno arriving at the Clover base as new junior pilots with their jeager

Just like in Pacific Rim, this story happens in real world and suit countries are bases

Jeager pairings at the beginning of the story:

Nozel & Fuegoleon

Pilot one of the best jeagers in the whole world and are an extraordinary team.

They usually lead missions as captains.

They are very popular and known for their merits.

Everyone looks up to them and they have big fanclubs.

They go way back, so their drift is very efficient, until recent problems

They come from high situated families associated with the jeager program.

Asta & Yuno

They come from an orphanage and everyone suspects, that their parents died because of a Kaiju attack

They participate in try outs for jeager pilots

It appears that their drift is exceptional so they get it in to the training program, despite no one actually believing in them

Asta wants to become a jeager pilot, to obviously protect the citizens and become the next commander, but he also wants to impress a nun that was taking care of the boys in the orphanage

Yami & Jack

They are a mess to say at least, but at least they are efficient

This team is being sent out, when they need some unconventional methods

Their jeager uses sharp plasma edged swords and fights mostly close distance

Noelle & Mimosa

Since they come from the Vermillon and Silva families they are expected to do great

Nozel doesn't want Noelle to pilot a jeager, he says that she's weak, but she ends up signing up anyway

Girls are in the same training group as Asta and Yuno when they arrive at the Clover Base

However since Noelle was badly treated by her siblings she has problems with trust and her drift is very shaky

Her and Mimosa even though being effective in training fail in the jeager while drifting

However after Noelle gets to know Asta better, she learns how to deal with her emotions and past

Magna & Luck

They are the "wild" team

Their jeager is smaller, but very agile

It shoots fire projectiles and is able to electrocute

Luck's mother pushed him into the jeager program

At first it was hard for Luck to open up to Magna through drift

However later they begin to ghost drift... (This is Tam's and @t-f-t's idea!!!)

Also they are CHRONIC drift junkies (another amazing idea of Tam and Alex!)

Finral & Vanessa

Finral was pushed away by his influential family and ended up in the jeager program wanting to prove himself

Vanessa on the other hand was running away from her abusive mother

They clicked in the barracks, when they were sneaking out to a bar, during their training and it appeared they were compatible

They are a support jeager

Charlotte & Sol

Charlotte took Sol under her wing

They have a female looking jeager

Nacht & Morgen (Not active anymore 😔)

They used to be one of the best teams there were

However an accident happened and Morgen was ripped out of the jeager by a kaiju

Nacht finished the fight on his own, but it took a tool on him

He hasn't drifted with anyone since Morgen

He hangs around the base, but is very closed of, he only talks to few people

Julius (is he really by himself..?)

Julius is the only one known to pilot a jeager by himself

He excels at everything he does and quickly takes the lead

Commander of the forces

He has a secret partner pilot he doesn't know about... (yes it's Lucius)

Some relationships that happen:

Asta & Noelle (I have a story idea for them)

At first Noelle is apprehensive of him, but later, when she sees his good heart she warms up

Asta helps her and inspires Noelle to become stronger

She obviously never admits that she cares for him...

Yami & Charlotte

Their two teams usually don't work together and Charlotte seems to not be fond of Yami

However under the cold exterior she hides her crush on the rugged jeager pilot

They get to know each other while working at the same base

OCs

She is a modified human for a project Azure Queen

Azure-Queen was a scientific attempt to create and control their own Kaiju, made by the Diamond base

Azure queens are genetically modified women who can theoretically control the Kaiju

Each Queen has one Kaiju

Briar has Uroboros

Yuno & Neva

They met earlier in the Academy, previously to being assigned to the Clover base

Neva was adopted and taken care of by a famous pilot William Vangeance

She is closed of and at first they did not get along greatly

However with time they learned to lean on each other

Neva was transferred to the Clover base without a partner pilot

She was amazing at the simulators but was closed of and could not drift with anyone

Now she has six months to find a co pilot or she's out

Nacht & Josele

one of the reasons Nacht stayed at the base was Josele

Josele is a coach for the jaeger training program, she takes care of new recruits such as Asta and Yuno

she used to be with Morgen and his death hit her hard

Nacht experienced through drift the memories of Morgen and Josele, so even though he had feelings for her as well he pulled back

Now he can't leave, something urges him to stay and watch her back

Lisa & Julius

Julius saves Lisa during one of the Kaiju attacks

She is grateful and joins the fight against them

She becomes one of the military advisors and watches over the missions

Her and Julius's relationship develops and they become very close

Zora & Odette

Zora is the best on the simulator. He kicks ass of all of those who are "better fit" to be jeager pilots, but there's one problem. He can't find anyone to drift with.

He meets Odette a new trainee brought by Yami

And somehow they click

Now they need to go through training until getting their jeager

Nozel & Helena (obviously I have a more developed story here as well)

Helena is a doctor from Spain who wishes to help with the Kaiju war so she gets a job at the Clover base

Little does she know, that she will fall for a mysterious and cold jeager pilot

Nozel and Helena meet during a mandatory health check up for pilots, because she fills in for his previous doctor, with who Nozel parted on bad terms

Nozel is even more angry about the doctor change and they start off at the wrong foot

Additionally their personalities and views on how the jeager program is conducted differ

However with time something, maybe curiosity, mystery and definitely desire, draws them towards one another, but they keep their relationship secret

However that's not the only secret that Nozel hides...

The only one who knows about Nozelena is Fuegoleon, because he shares a drift with Nozel

Poor Fuego has to watch them be not necessarily proper 😂. However it's not like his attention is not completely swept by a foreign Drift specialist...

Fuegoleon & Solara

Solara is a specialist, when it comes to drift. She compares the memories to the flowing river and teaches the pilots how to navigate and let it flow, so they would more efficient

She was brought to the base by Mereolona, who normally doesn't pilot, but can join in when needed (she's a beast then)

Solara feels a special connection to a certain red headed pilot, who is one of those she's supposed to help with his recent drift problems

At first Fuego and Lara are shy and some misunderstandings slow down the pace of their relationship

However as time passes it develops into something deep and real

There are some problems, because other bases, especially the one she transferred from, need Solara, but the pair fights to be together

Some OC owners have more developed stories for their own OCs. I hope I didn't mix anything here in this summary.

I to be honest have some specific ideas only for two (Nozelena and Astelle).

It was a quiet day, something that couldn’t have been said for most other days in the Clover Kingdom – Though, maybe that was because the day hadn’t actually started yet. 

As the sun rose, and its light seeped into the windows of many people still asleep, Amê sat at her dresser table; brushing her hair. The soft bristles of the hairbrush could only do so much to untangle her hair – but not to worry. Amê’s hair was as soft, smooth, and shiny as silk. In fact – One would even say that her hair was made of pure silk (Even then, that would be an understatement). 

She finished promptly, setting her brush down before there was a knock at her door. She smiled, standing up to answer it. She was in a simple dress; since today was an off day for her, she felt she didn’t need her usual Bravado – if you can even call her cute dressing style that. Amê promptly dusted the hem of her dress off before she opened the door, her usual soft smile plastered on her face. 

“Hello, Amê.”

Her boyfriend, Nacht, had been standing at her door. He had his hair in a different style than usual. Instead, half of his hair was tied back, and the lower half was still down. He held a small arrangement of flowers in his hands as he returned her soft expression with one for his own. Amê was overjoyed and took the flowers with love and affection. She walked back inside and placed them on her desk; Nacht following close behind her. 

“Your room looks as lovely as you today,”

His words came out gingerly as he walked up from behind her, and the only thing she could hear aside from that would be the sound of his necklace clattering with every step. She hummed, turning around to face him, 

“Why, thank you.”

To this, Nacht cocked his head to the side, raising an eyebrow. 

“For what?”

Amê giggled, “For the compliment, and of course – for the flowers as well.”

As a response, Nacht smiled and returned his head back to place – followed by him letting out his hand. 

“Shall we?”

Amê put her hand in his and nodded, moving closer. 

“We shall.”

Nacht nodded, leading her out of her quarters and out of the building in general. It had been a while since either of them had come back to Clover, he thought –  especially with having to be spies in the Spade kingdom – They rarely had peace. As of current, Spade officials (Proper ones) were discussing what to do about the vacant throne. Some suggested that the Queen return to her original position… and others, currently suggesting that the now-found Prince take up the mantle.

Not that it mattered to Nacht in the moment, anyway. Currently, he is just trying to spend time with the one person whom he enjoys spending time with. He breathed out a breath of relief; No Yami. No Bulls. No war. 

“Nacht, dear?”

Amê’s words broke Nacht out of his trance. It was a good thing – or else he may have fallen into a rabbit hole. He proceeded to breathe out a sigh of relief, choosing to focus on the moment instead. Amê’s hands felt warm, though her body temperature wasn’t always the highest. He took his eyes off the path in front of them to look down at his girlfriend. She was still looking up at him – and that’s when it clicked to him that she was still waiting for him to respond. 

“Ah- Sorry! Yes?” “Nothing just wanted to make sure you’re okay. You zoned out for a bit..”

She looked down at her feet as they walked, the pink on her cheeks drastically contrasting the pale complexion of her face and white hair. Seeing this, a smile pricked on Nacht’s face. He squeezed her hand twice and rubbed her index finger’s knuckle with her thumb – a silent way of saying ‘I love you’ for both of them. Amê’s lips parted as she looked back up to Nacht; but now, he was the one looking away. 

“I’m sorry, I was really just thinking about how grateful I am to have this day off to spend with you.”

Nacht’s words came as a surprise to Amê. They may have been planning this date for quite a while after the war ended – but usually, Nacht’s head was up in the clouds about something of his past. Amê was almost always worried about him since she was the one who had helped him out of almost relapsing. Twice. 

“You don’t need to apologize. I feel the same way.”

Her words came out softer than her usual tone of voice ( if that was even possible), but it was still audible to the black-haired man. He chose to nod in response this time, but his small smile grew slightly. Amê noticed this, and let out a satisfied “Hm!”.

The rest of the walk consisted of mostly silence, but it was a comfortable one. The two weren’t the kind of couple that needed vocal interaction for their feelings to stay alive – simply being in each other’s presence was enough. Nacht led her over to a small (but cozy) cafe. He opened the door for her as she stepped inside, and then he followed shortly after. The waitress sat them down at a table in a cozy corner of the place, and they were content. Once they were seated, Nacht shifted a moment before he stood back up.

“I’ve… Gotta go real quick. I’ll be back.”

He began walking, although Amê tried to reason with him. She even offered to come with, but he insisted on her staying. Defeated, she sat. She looked rather deflated as Nacht walked out the door – seeming to be in a rush. 

Does he suddenly not like me…?

She put her head down, sighing out shakily. This is why she would rather not talk. Rather not fall in love.

“Hey pretty girl, why are you so down?” 

She cringed at the nickname but looked back up. It was a man with brown hair; someone she didn’t seem to recognize. Soon, his friend accompanied him. 

“Come on, bro, can’t you see that her man just ditched her?”

Suddenly, it dawned on her – They were trying to flirt with her. She shifted rather uncomfortably in her seat.

Please leave me alone.

Though she wanted more than anything to say it; she didn’t – she couldn’t. Her vocal cords refused to work at her will. She just… stared. She stared at the men, wondering what to do.

“Aww… a pretty girl like you shouldn’t be alone…” 

The first guy got uncomfortably close to her, smirking. She shut her eyes tight – her body acting on its own as her fist got even closer to his jaw than he was to her. She was about to land a blow, when –

“So. are you done tormenting my girlfriend…?” 

All three of these people froze – but only one recognized the voice. It was Nacht. Amê fluttered her eyes open, but by the time she did, one of them was already tied up with one of her boyfriend’s shadow-binding spells. A gasp elicited from her moth and the black-haired man walked back over to sit down, the eerie smile on his face turning back into the delicate, genuine one he had displayed earlier. 

“I’m sorry, that was rude of me.”

He turned back over to the men– well, the one that was still standing, at the very least. He released his spell and instructed the boy to carry his friend away until they couldn’t see him or Amê anymore – “Or else I’ll punt both of you off of the face of the earth.”

After everything (finally) went back to normal, Nacht pulled out a small box. 

“For you.”

He mumbled rather gruffly and punctuated his sentence with an awkward cough. Amê raised an eyebrow – but reached for and opened it, nonetheless. 

Inside of the wooden box, was a set of earrings – specifically the rabbit earrings that were made out of crystal that Amê had been admiring on their last date. 

“You- remembered..?”

“No, I just didn’t forget.”

Amê titled her head. She was confused.

“But why would you… This was expensive…”

Nacht smiled, holding her other hand in his own. 

“None of that matters. Not if it’s for you.”

 Amê accepted her defeat at last, a soft smile returning to her face. Instead of wondering why he would do such a thing for her, she chose to end this with the following sentence.

“Thank you, Nacht.”

Hiya Erika! Of course you can, I’m sorry it took a bit, and I hope I made it flirty enough (I know it’s very fluffy, and I did try to include some flirting 😅). But I had so much fun writing this, and thank you for letting me use Josele, and I hope you enjoy~!

Nacht quietly laid underneath one of the many trees around the Black Bull's hideout, he was far enough away where he wouldn’t be bothered but was close enough to hear the Bull's conversations clearly. He just wanted a minute of peace to himself, although admittedly, if a certain beautiful woman happened to come by and ask to join him, he wouldn’t say no.

“ What’re you doing sitting here by yourself?” A very familiar voice asked, and Nacht opened his blue eyes and turned his face to look at the owner of said voice.

His heart skipped a beat, it was the certain beautiful woman he was just thinking about: Josele Canty.

“ Josie,” Nacht said softly as he looked up at her, Josele smiled at the use of her nickname as she leaned against the tree he was sitting under. “ I thought you were away on a mission?”

“ I was, we just got back a few minutes ago,” Josele said as she grinned down at him. “ Do you mind if I take a seat?” She asked as she pointed to the empty spot beside him.

Nacht shook his head before he moved over and patted the space beside him, she nodded in thanks before sitting down beside him.

“ So, what have you been up to while I was away?” She asked as she leaned back against the tree, Nacht made a humming sound before shrugging.

“ Just this and that, spying on that person and this person, and just staying in the shadows where I belong,” Nacht told her in a light hearted tone and with a small smile on his face.

“ You don’t belong in the shadows,” Josele said with a sigh and shake of her head. “ You belong here in the light with the rest of us.”

Nacht smiled a bit and nodded, of course she would say something like that. She always said stuff like that and did her best to cheer him up when he was down or when he felt like he didn’t belong somewhere.

Nacht watched as a gentle breeze swept through and moved the green leaves just enough that the sun was able to peek through and bathe her in its warm, yellow glow. She was so beautiful, so kind and warm, she reminded him of the sun, but at the same time she could be as distant and mysterious as the moon.

Maybe she was more like a Solar Eclipse?

And just like all of those things, she was unattainable. At least for Nacht.

She was his twin, Morgen’s, former fiancé. And in some strange way, he felt like loving her, or being in love with her, was a kind of…betrayal to his brother.

But he loved her, oh did he love her.

“ What? Are you mesmerized by my beauty?’ She suddenly asked as she glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. He felt his cheeks burn slightly at being caught, but he turned away from her and smiled a bit.

“ And if I was? What would you do about it?” Nacht asked in a curious and flirting sort of way, Josele made a humming noise before she leaned in close.

“ I would say you’re crazy, and then I would push you down like this,” She lightly pushed his shoulders, making him fall onto his back underneath the tree. Josele then moved so her upper half was hovering over his, and their faces were only inches from each other.

Nacht felt his heart beat speed up nervously as she hovered over him and her beautiful brown hair lightly tickled his cheek. He watched as her eyes searched his and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks as well.

He desperately wanted to reach out and place her hair behind her ear, cup her cheek gently with his hand, before pulling her down and capturing her lips in the sweetest kiss she had ever received.

But he restrained himself, now wasn’t the time, and it wouldn’t be the time for quite a while.

“ What would you do after pushing me down?” He asked, his voice soft and tone even more curious than it was before. Josele bit her bottom lip as she suppressed a smile.

“ Then I would flop down beside you like this,’’ She suddenly laid down beside him with her arm around his middle and her head on his chest. “ And we would cuddle for the next hour or two as we watch the tree’s blow in the wind.” Josele added with a laugh as looked up at the leaves.

Nacht felt confusion take over his mind before he sighed and shook his head, she really liked teasing and messing with him. He kept one hand behind his head and moved the other behind her back.

The two laid there quietly, just enjoying each other's company, and watched the breeze ruffle the leaves in the tree, allowing a bit of light to shine through and onto them.

“ Y’know,” Josele started quietly as she kept her eyes closed, but face angled up at the tree. “ If I just laid here for the rest of my life, would you lay with me and just forget the world?” She asked as she opened her eyes and looked at Nacht.

As he stared into her beautiful brown eyes, he saw everything. All he that he was now, and all that he ever was in the past, shined in her beautiful eyes. All the things they had gone through, all of their ‘almosts’, it was reflected there. He smiled warmly and lovingly before he nodded.

“ I would, even as the world burned around us, I would lay here with you and forget the world and everyone in it. As long as you were beside me.” Nacht told her softly, she smiled up at him.

“ I’m glad, I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather watch the burn world with,” She said jokingly but in a heart felt way as Nacht chuckled.

“ That’s what you took from what I just said?”

“ Yep. Gotta problem with that?”

“ Nope. Not one bit.”
