Hello soda senpai. It's 🖤 anon here is a continuation of the fic I sent. I hope my writing skills have improved. I decided to turn my reader fic to an oc . Please give your feedback.

Empty manor

Astrea Celeste was busy with her least favorite work . She in fact hated the work of the house head with passion. "Even the paperwork I did as a magic knight was better." She said throwing her pen on the table

She checked the time, it was almost lunch time. She didn't want to leave her work but she remembered her promise to Nacht that she would look after herself. She left her room and walked down the stairs. "So empty." She thought.

She entered the dining room. The table was huge but she was alone. There were so many dishes but she was the only one to eat. After she finished her lunch, she called a maid.

"Clear my plate, and give rest of the food to the poor. Tell the kitchen head to not buy this much food for a single person, we don't have as much money as we used to." 

" Yes, my lady." The maid replied 

She returned to her office to continue her work. "I hate this place, I hate this work, I hate this mansion." She said out loud. "My squad headquarters are so much better. I wouldn't have even kept it if not for..." 

Just then a idea crossed her mind.

"Why didn't I think of it before?" she said and smiled "I should discuss it with Nacht tonight."

(Nighttime)

Nacht appeared in her room from the shadows like he always did. She immediately hugged him, she was waiting for him for hours.

"Hey, how was work?" He asked

"About that, I actually decided something." She replied smiling.

"What is it?" He asked knowing that she must have taken a huge decision.

"Nacht, I decided to give up my noble status and sell this mansion."

"What? But why?" He was shocked

"It's just too suffocating here and there are so many bitter memories."

"But then you won't be able to live the life you are living. It will be difficult."

"I know that but Nacht, this life is too hectic. It's too painful. I don't like this work. I don't like this mansion. I just want to keep a few income sources and leave." She said bursting into tears. Nacht wiped her tears and hugged her.

"I see." He said in an understanding voice as he rubbed her back.

"Ummm.. Nacht... I was also thinking that... maybe instead of keeping the manor, I'll buy a good house..." She said as started blushing

Nacht froze, he wasn't as dense as Yami, he knew exactly what this meant.

"Maybe..... for just the both of us, I know we have our squad headquarters but maybe we could go to that house during breaks." She continued. "I mean I kept this mansion because we can get our privacy. Don't get me wrong, I like your squad-."

Nacht kissed her forehead and she froze. "You don't have to explain, even I want to have some time for just the both of us." He said.

"I see, so if you aren't busy tomorrow shall we go look for a house? My break will be over soon and I want to be done with all the mansion and house head related work before that. "

"Sure" Nacht said and kissed her " I'd love that."

So what do you think? Also is my grammar okay?

Astrea Celeste... A very spatial name. Stars and nighttime is a classic combo so the aesthetic of Astrea and Nacht's name alone is attractive~!

The first scene scene gives a smaller snapshot of Astrea's feelings towards her position as a whole. She doesn't like the duties she has as head of house, but she doesn't neglect doing them. Her responsibilities do weigh on her but she has the diligence to see them through. I also get the feeling that Astrea is bothered by the hollow excess of her position, like being served far too much food at once.

It's also very nice that Astrea doesn't take her frustrations out on others (at least from what you've shared here). She's not all that warm in the one interaction she has with her staff but neither does she make harsh comments about the chef's over indulgence. She just makes it known what she wants done without fanfare.

The plainness of the earlier interaction then highlights her intimacy with Nacht. She goes to hug him and lets herself cry, unloading her negative feelings. However, Astrea doesn't mope too long and instead shows some fluster when suggesting that she and Nacht live together. She's emotive without being temperamental. I feel that Nacht would take a lover who is quieter than his squad and easy to be around. And so Astrea being able to voice her feelings without being over the top about works for Nacht.

Eh heh heh heh~! The forehead kiss... Nacht smooching his s/o's forehead is something that's so easy to picture and feels so right.

I can tell your grammar has improved with this new snippet. Like, letting the single sentence of Astrea's idea coming to mind being its own paragraph is a good show of how she has the idea and pauses because it feels like a strong revelation to her. I have an easy time reading the flow of your sentences, although I think some comma divided parts could be turned into full sentence stops like

Nacht froze. He wasn't as dense as Yami and so he knew exactly what this meant.

And the only other bit that caught my attention was the use of "burst into tears." It comes off as a little strong, though maybe it's because I take the "burst" a little literally and picture someone letting out an audible sob. If you just meant that Astrea begins crying very suddenly, I think it still comes across.

Again, I like what you're sharing. It's got emotions and tenderness even without strictly being fluff. The drama isn't on the level of some canon events but it still gets me invested because sometimes the smaller, personal matters are more engaging since they laser focus on an individual. And seeing Nacht being able to support someone rather than need the support himself is nice.

Fluffuary 2023 Day 11: Fireplace- Dwalin x OC

Dwalin x Astrea

Description: After Astrea spends just a bit too long outside in the snow she comes home to her displeased husband.

Word Count: 1.3k

Winter was already coming in strong for the people of Erebor. The snow had already begun to fall, and it was only November! It was the people’s first winter back in the kingdom and everyone was more than excited to experience snowfall in their homes again (or for the first time in some cases). Dwarves were naturally built to withstand such low temperatures. At most they just wore a few layers and they were all good. Astrea, being a Hobbit, was unfortunately not. That meant she could only be outside for a few minutes before she had to go back inside lest she catch hypothermia. 

Her husband Dwalin always made sure to remind her of that when she was layering up to go outside. Despite his gruff demeanor, he was actually a very caring and attentive husband. She would even say that it was a bit overbearing at times because his urge to keep her away from any and all potential harm was impalpable. It was unfortunate and even a bit annoying, she knew that he was just worried about her because he loved her. And she appreciated it, so she dealt with it and always made sure not to stay out for long. 

Today was different, however. As winter began to set in, snow had fallen several inches overnight and people were ecstatic to play in the snow. Astrea’s daily chores had been interrupted by none other than Fili and Kili, who had decided to invite her to join them as well as Celeste and Nessa in the snow while Dwalin was at work in the palace. 

“It’s not like you’ll have anything else to do,” Kili pointed out eagerly. “All you do is sit at home waiting for your darling husband to return.” There was a teasing lilt to his voice when he said ‘darling husband’ that made the Hobbit roll her eyes playfully, though she ultimately found herself nodding. 

“Oh, very well. Let me get into something warmer.” The Dwarves cheered as she headed to her and Dwalin’s shared bedroom to get dressed. 

She ultimately changed into some warm pants and a long sleeve shirt. After slipping on a coat and scarf she decided she was ready. Of course it probably wasn’t actually enough to keep her warm, but she couldn’t bring herself to care. The prospect of actually being outside for more than a few minutes was much too exciting for her to think about it for long. Instead she followed the Princes (or, at least tried to, considering her legs were much shorter than theirs) out to where the girls were waiting for them. 

“Well, it’s about time you showed up,” Celeste joked. Kili began to make (what he probably thought would be) a witty response, but he was interrupted when Nessa suddenly scooped up a snowball and threw it at him. It nailed him directly in the face, making the others burst into laughter as he stared at her in shock. After a moment he got over it as an idea seemed to hit him (based on the look on his face). 

“Oh yeah?” He asked with a mischievous smile on his face, dipping down to make a snowball of his own and throw it at her. It hit Nessa in the chest and slid down her tunic, making her gasp and shudder as she tried to wipe it off. She paused when she heard Astrea laughing at her, and she faced the Hobbit girl. 

“And what are you laughing at?” She asked, scooping the snow off her tunic and flicking it at her. 

“Oh you are so going to pay for that!” She laughed jovially, also crouching down to make a snowball and throwing it back at her. Both Kili and Nessa ducked so it ended up hitting Celeste, who stood on the other side of the Elf. This continued between them until it turned into a full blown snowball fight. 

They stayed outside for hours. When they got bored of the snowball fight they decided to make a snowman. And when they finished that they continued finding things to do. It was the most fun Astrea ever had. She hadn’t realized how long they’d spent time outside until Fili pointed out that the sun was already setting. Her eyes widened when she realized he was right. Oh no, Dwalin always got home around this time. There was no way she’d be able to warm herself up before he sees her.

“Would you like us to walk you home, Mrs. Astrea?” Celeste asked the Hobbit, interrupting her thoughts. Immediately she put on a smile and shook her head. 

“Oh, no dear. I’ll be okay. It’s less than five minutes, I’ll likely be home before the sun has fully set,” she brushed off. The others looked unsure at first, but at her urging they wished her goodnight and headed back to the palace. Once she was alone Astrea sighed and turned, trudging her way home. 

There was smoke coming out of the chimney when she walked up to the house, which confirmed her theory of her husband being home. Once at the door she took a moment to prepare herself for the lecture she was about to receive, then finally opened the door as quietly as she could and stepped inside. Dwalin sat by the fireplace, where a fire roared in front of him as he moved the embers around. He didn’t face her as he spoke. 

“I’ve run your bath. Go warm yourself up,” he instructed, grabbing a few more logs and feeding them to the fire. Astrea wanted to retort that she wasn’t a child, and that he didn’t need to talk to her like one. But by that point she was too tired to argue, so she did as he said and walked to their bathroom. 

It didn’t take her long to clean up and warm herself, but she still spent quite a while in the bath. She didn’t want to face her husband and see his disappointed face. Eventually her water started getting cold, so she got out and dried off, changing into the warm pajamas that Dwalin had set out for her before finally walking out to the living room. Dwalin was staring at the fire in front of him as he waited for her once again, but this time he actually looked at her when she walked in. 

“I’m not mad,” was the first thing he said as she took a seat beside him. “I don’t wish for you to believe that I am. I just worry about you, Astrea. Winters here are colder than they were back in the Blue Mountains and I don’t want you to catch your death from it. You’re much smaller than the other inhabitants of Erebor.” Astrea stayed silent for a minute as she thought over his words. 

“I understand your concern, my love,” she started slowly. “But you cannot expect me to just stay cooped up in the house all winter as if I am a bear hibernating. I wish to go outside and have fun with our friends. And I understand that I am smaller than almost everyone else, but that does not mean that I’ve no common sense. I know my limits, and I know when to come inside or how much I should layer up. I am not a child, I am your wife, and I think you should have a little more faith in me.” Now it was Dwalin’s turn to remain silent. He stared at the fire for a minute or two, then he sighed. 

“You’re right, I shouldn’t be treating you like this,” he finally said. “I’m sorry.” A small smile formed on the girl’s face as she scooted closer to him. She was practically nestled into his side, prompting him to wrap his arm around her. 

“You’re forgiven. I love you, Dwalin.” A fond smile appeared on her husband’s face. 

“I love you too.” With that, he pressed a kiss to her forehead before the two of them faced the fireplace once again, ready to spend the rest of the night in front of it with each other.

Every Angel and Doll loved Astrea. She had these heavenly wings, they shined in the sunlight. She was by far the purest out of all of us. The way she moved, every motion, every word. Angelic.

CasseiI hated it. More than anything. Casseil was quite the jealous type. Any Angel/Doll with an accessory or outfit she didnt own herself threw her into an envious rage.

"Oh my dear Casseil!" She sang " you dropped this" Astrea handed Caseil the flower that had fallen from her hair. " Thank you" Cassiel hissed coldly. We all stood silently taken aback from her rudeness. Astrea seemed un bothered her and went on her way. She really was an angel.

Everyone in Angel Meadows was aware of beauty obbsesd Casseil was jealous of elegant Astrea. So much so that sometimes nobody would pay it any matter but I don't think anybody could've prepared us for what her jealousy drew her to do.

Late in the night, a blood-curdling scream cut through the cold, still air like a knife. From Astrea's Cottage. The head Doll/Angel Celeste along with the others wasted no time in getting to her. Blood splattered on Astrea's face as well as her white-laced nightgown. But the most harrowing sight. Her wings were gone. A gory, gory sight it was. Astrea wept in pain. The medical dolls and their Teddy bear assistants swiftly escorted her out of her house, leaving behind a trail of red. Even with the bloody mess all over her she still seemed beautiful.

The Medics were able to sow new wings onto Astrea after her already wounds had healed.

Casseil was nowhere to be found, that night or any night after for that matter. All she left behind was a poem confessing to her heinous act.

Some say Astrea's wings are still out there, some say they are not. All we know is that the punishment for cutting another's wings off is from the inside out you slowly start to rot.

The Ancestral Weapon Spirits -

Damica (Oldest Sister): The oldest sister, known as the Pirate Queen, died at sea. Later revived to assist her descendants.

Astrea: The second oldest, died at sea suddenly. Later revived to assist her descendants.

Ilysse: The third oldest. Was the last of her sisters to die, died of natural causes. Later revived to assist her descendants.

Etta: Died a few years after Damica due to health complications. Possibly later revived to assist her descendants.

Orla: Died a few years before Ilysse did. It is unknown how she died, presumed poisoning. Possibly later revived to assist her descendants.

Eulalia: The first to die of the sisters, killed by a sword suddenly. Unknown what happened after her death.

Riona (Youngest Sister and Eulalia's Twin Sister): Died a couple years after Etta. Died of complications with a magical illness. Later revived to assist her descendants.

the tension in the air felt a grim, which was a huge damper on saxon’s mood. advisors scurried past him in the hallway, whispering urgently to themselves. he caught a couple of words, something about astrea and esfera. what was going on with those two countries? saxon decided he would text jam and celeste in a few minutes but for now... he looked around for his favorite person in the world, the meanest girl to ever speak to him... ah, there she is! “tripti!” he called out, trotting over to her with a goofy grin despite the obvious cowabummer mood in the palace. “why is everybody so down? did someone die?”

In New Horizons, if you show a Star Fragment of one of the Zoidac Signs to Celeste, you get a story of that constellation, so here are the tales of each the twelve zodiac signs.

"There are many tales and stories about Aries. This is my favorite: Long ago and far away... There were a pair of royal twins named Phrixus and Helle whose stepmother, the queen, hated them. Virgo o Vergine è una delle più antiche ed importanti costellazioni dello zodiaco, molto evidente nel cielo primaverile, ad est dell’imponente Leone. A cavallo sull'equatore celeste, è la seconda più grande costellazione dopo Idra. Ha poche stelle luminose, ma comprende moltissime galassie per la presenza dell’Ammasso della Vergine.

Non conosco la formazione nello specifico e quindi mi tocca stare attento, accidenti.

Una cosa la so però, ovvero che la Vergine è rappresentata spesso come una figura femminile che tiene su una mano una spiga e sull'altra una bilancia, costituita dalla vicina costellazione. Pare che l'unica figura femminile dello zodiaco sia stata identificata nel tempo con diverse divinità e parecchie storie appartenenti alla mitologia greca e romana. Per i Babilonesi ad esempio era Ishtar, dea della fertilità, mentre per i Romani Astrea, dea della giustizia e poi Persefone.

Per quale malsano motivo una costellazione così bella viene associata ad una storia così triste?

Una povera ragazza che si faceva amabilmente i fatti suoi viene rapita da il Dio degli inferi perché lui ha deciso che se n'è innamorato (ennesima conferma che il verbo "amare" porta solo tanti guai). La costringe a vivere con lui nel regno dei morti e la madre, mezza preoccupata per la scomparsa della figlia, la prova a cercare invano. Chiede ad Elios, Dio del sole che tutto vede (modestamente il mio secondo nome) dove possa trovarsi la fanciulla. Piena di odio, Demetra impunta i piedi e lascia l’Olimpo, provocando sulla terra un periodo di grande carestia e siccità. Zeus allora decide di sistemare la situazione e per placare la sua ira, va da Ade per far tornare nel mondo dei vivi Persefone. Il Dio decide che dato che la giovane dea ha mangiato un chicco di melograno, simbolo di unione eterna nella Grecia Antica, non la lascerà andare via.

Ma tutto okay Ade? Morale della favola questa povera Persefone rimane incastrata sei mesi negli Inferi e sei mesi sulla Terra.

Non so perché mi sono dilungato così tanto su questa storia, o forse sì.

Quando sentivo parlare di amore e ascoltavo racconti assurdi, non capivo mai cosa spingesse i miei amici umani a comportarsi come si comportavano. Ho provato per la prima volta sentimenti simili e temo seriamente per la mia salute mentale. Quasi quasi faccio come Persefone e sparisco per sei mesi fino a quando questa stupida gelosia passa.

Meet the Glimmies- the Magic Light Up Star Fairies

I am really excited to tell you about something very special called Glimmies by Flair. Glimmies are little star fairies which have been sent by the moon to take care of “Glimmieswood” forest animals. They are so adorably cute and just ooze magic the way in which they magically light up in the dark, creating a beautiful magical light, just like a firefly. You and your kids are sure to fall in love with them, we definitely have.

There are twenty three Glimmies in total, all 6 cm high with beautiful glowing light. Each one represents a forest animal with its own distinctive colour and facial expression.  Glimmies always shine bright at night and hide in the light but held cupped in the hand they will also reveal their beautiful glowing and enchanting light. Shhhh but here's the 'Science Bit'...

Big Kids (like me) might be interested in finding out just how Glimmies work. The magical reaction is created by using something called a photometric light sensor on the head that responds to the lack of light in the surrounding environment. To demonstrate in light, just switch on the Glimmie and then cover the sensor or wave your hand over it and hey presto, it lights up!

Our Verdict

To say we love Glimmies is an undestatement, they are massive hits here with all the kids. The way in which you can magically make them light up by with the wave or your hand and keep them shining bright by cupping them in your palms is very special. I have to say these little toys have become very special night time companions for the twins who take them to bed with them at night. They bring them comfort and I think they could really help any little kids who may be afraid of the dark or even reluctant sleepers.
