*Remember to run the DX11 batch fix if you are using DX11. I do not use DX11 with my game, when I looked up what would happen if I ran the batch fix even though I don't have this turned on, the consensus was not to do this if you are not using the DX11 option. For those that have never done it, do not fear for it is very simple and will update any CC in your mods folder that needed it to work with DX11. I know the new DX11 API causes issues having something to do with the wall items, or other image texture-related things- that I know of. If you do not have Sims 4 Studio, here is a link about how to install it from their official website. And of course, if you need help please send me a message.

synopsis! playing acnh with hwa and showing him the joys of treasure islands

animal crossing was a shared interest between yourself and seonghwa. he had started way before you so his island was already well decorated. yours however…was sort of a mess still. with only having your entrance done you started to get desperate for new paths and new decorations. you we’re beginning to get bored of waiting for the recipes and events.

so you did what any reasonable person would do. you went onto treasure islands. suddenly you had millions of bells and all the decorations and flowers you could possibly want. seonghwa blissfully unaware to your treasure island shenanigans. he took pride in sending you decorations and bells. he loved that you needed him.

seonghwa packed up his switch and an overnight bag to stay at yours for the weekend. when he arrived at your house you were already playing. “y/nie i told you to wait for me.” he playfully whined. you giggled. “sorry hwa, i couldn’t help myself i’m almost done with my fossil digging site.” his brows furrowed.

he took a seat next to you and stared at your screen. he watched you run around and place certain decorations and add a fossil he knew you didn’t dig up yet. “y/n where did you get that? it’s not in your museum.” you looked at the fossil. “oh that? i found it on a treasure island.” you shrugged. seonghwa gasped dramatically. “look at all of those bells! how’d you get that many so fast?” you sighed and pulled out your phone.

opening twitch you looked up treasure islands and clicked on a stream with about fifty viewers. seonghwa’s eyes scanned the screen. “oh my god, where have these been this whole time?” he questioned. seonghwa went to his airport to visit a garden materials island.

“i can finally have my cherry blossoms.” he smiled. for the next several hours the two of you played together visiting different treasure islands. eventually both of your islands were filled with random flowers and decorations.

“oh my god y/n! look look.” seonghwa shoved his switch in your face. “what.” you giggled pushing it back slightly. “do you see that?” he pointed to a lily of the valley that grew. your eyes went wide. “oh my god seonghwa no way!” you screamed. he smirked proudly.

“wait a minute.” you looked at his unplaced items and weeds from him time traveling. “seonghwa.” you glared. “what?” he asked. “there is no way that just grew there your island is a mess!” he gasped placing his hand over his heart. “are you accusing me of planting a lily of the valley from a treasure island to trick you?” he asked.

“you just admitted to it!” you smacked him with one of your couch pillows. “hey.” he whined before tackling you onto the couch. the two of you play fought until he pinned your hands above you. the sound of your heavy breathes filled the silence.

the faint sounds of animal crossing in the background. he smiled at you before capturing your lips against his. you leaned up into the kiss and he released his hold on your hands. he pulled you up against him as he deepened the kiss.

the both of you pulled away breathless. “you know, i picked up a wedding set from the last island i visited.” you said shyly. seonghwa smirked and kissed you deeply. “well then open your gates for visitors baby.” he patted your bottom before you both took off to your switches once again.

As you can see I've colour coded the sets by game. NL is pink, NH is blue, and sets that didn't really change between games are purple.

For the redesign matches, it was an even split between NH and NL. out of 10 redesign matches, they each won 5.

It's easier for me if all the new polls post in a row with no gaps between, so round 2 will start in a few days to give the hourly tournament a chance to catch up! This should be the only round where I have to do that.

Super Mario series.  I think I’ve owned and played most of them by now, and I’ve been playing since I was 5!

The rest of the Pokemon games.  I played Pokemon Blue and part of Yellow back in the day, and after I finished Blue I was just...kinda done with all that questing around and getting attacked.  I didn’t want to start over again.

A series you haven’t played but are interested in trying

I’ve heard Stardew Valley is really great!  I’m getting into “cozy games” more and more as I get older (and realize I have no patience for skill games LMAO)

A game you played completely blind with no prior knowledge of and enjoyed/loved

StarFox 64 wayyyyy back in the day!  I was not the greatest at it but I did manage to finish it (despite throwing the controller against the wall one day lmao)

Spyro (the first one, I think).  Mannnn the aesthetics of that game are so gorgeous even though I had a lot of trouble with the gimmicks on each level.

A console and/or handheld you’ve never played but would like to try

I always liked the look of the PS Vita but never owned one, nor did I ever get any games for it or look up a list of what was on it.  I figure Sony has moved WELL past that console and won’t make anything like it again, but the aesthetics of it, the size of it, were just really intriguing.

Do you prefer ‘blank slate’ main characters you make yourself or otherwise project onto, or characters with a set personality and backstory?

Blank slate is always great, but if they have a graceful and powerful lady character, I’ll play that too!

Celeste in ACNH.  I actually have a fanfic going trying to build out her character, and might start another one!  I love that she’s connected to astronomy, and from the little bits of dialogue we get, she’s a gentle soul.  It would be cool to see some DLC involving her in the next game!!

Fortress Boss from Super Mario World. This plays in my head when I'm going through difficult traffic situations lmao

Dire Dire Docks in Super Mario 64, PURELY for the music.  I literally used the water world theme as one of the songs in my wedding preludes!!

Super Mario RPG, for sure.  That intro sequence is just ART and epic.

Mario is Missing.  The intro sequence flips the usual Mario game on its head!

A boss you think is really cool

Master Hand from Super Smash Bros. series.  So different and funny just fighting a giant hand! LOL

A boss that was disappointing

Bowser in Super Mario 64.  Once I figured out the gimmick, it became so easy to whoop him that I started playing it and beating his ass each afternoon after school for an ego boost.  I guess that’s not necessarily disappointing, but I did master it pretty easily, and I've come to learn I'm not all that good at skill games, LOL.

A game ending that’s really stuck with you

The end of Super Mario RPG, with Geno becoming a little star again and returning back to the Star Road.  Definitely cried each time I watched that, because it is a little like his character dies even though you know he's just chillin' on the Star Road and could come back again.

A “Wow” moment of awe

When I first flipped into 3D space on Paper Mario!  It really showed what a game could be like, how many Easter eggs could be hidden!

A game with a cool art style

Child of Light.  GLORIOUS.  I love how the characters’ costumes flow, how soft and beautiful the light is in every scene, the way magic sparkles...it’s just AESTHETIC af.

A game’s art style that had to grow on you

We Love Katamari.  Once I realized it was like an acid trip (LOL), I understood, and it became one of my favorite games!

Realism or stylized?  

Stylized. Realism can get too gritty and grimdark, as well as getting creepy. (Uncanny valley I guess?)

Paper Mario, especially the different star/fortune telling areas.

Super Mario--I started with Super Mario World, and it was a pretty good starting point for me, given that the only other versions out there (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels), were a LOT harder.  Today, there are a lot of better starting points--Super Mario Galaxy is probably more approachable for today’s audiences, even though I could not make head or tail of that game LMAO.

twitch streamer au where eds been streaming horror games (by himself) and fps’s (with izzy) for years and stede is a brand new animal crossing streamer

stede picked up the game so he can play remotely with his kids after his divorce and he got super into decorating his island

izzy finds out ed has been watching stedes channel and thinks he is hate watching. izzy begins encouraging his and eds followers to bully stede

(some of the followers are dicks but actually most of them push back because theres nothing wrong with playing animal crossing even if izzy thinks it is a baby game for babies and stede seems like a perfectly nice guy)

ed reaches out to stede to apologize for izzys Shenanigans and he decides to buy acnh himself and they stream stede coming to his island to help him get set up

ed invites stede to play whatever cool fps they are playing (idk these things i pay less than zero attention to fps’s but its the most badass one that all the hardcore gamers like) and stede is Bad at it but he has a wonderful time

izzy ragequits halfway through the session but fang and ivan welcome stede to their team and try to help him not die instantly (he keeps dying instantly anyway)

at some point they start playing stardew valley together off stream, just for themselves for fun

and they continue visiting each other in animal crossing and watering each others flowers and bringing each other cool crafting recipes they found

and obviously (obviously) they fall in love and mutually pine for a good bit while starting to hang out in real life as friends and then of course they finally kiss

and then the first time they stream stardew valley is their stardew valley wedding and thats how izzy (and all their followers) find out theyre in a relationship
