(The news quickly spreads as do the messages the two Gods shared between one another. It seems somebody leaked the Divine Conversation for the world to see. It's unfair for knowledge of the Beloved Creator to be kept secret as after all! So what if Faruzan and Layla think otherwise?

(But it doesn't inspire jubilee or elation. The messages the deities speak to one another bring a fearful awe amongst the people.)

[Me] just finished the video and that is the most horrifying experience ever and i never want to go through it again

[Friend] Basically Teyvat is worse of. Why? Well Celestia is the same as always but it's the Archons—called Underworlds here—that are different. They aren't gods, heck Celestia detests them because they're Superorganisms.

[Friend] Because of the sheer fucking scale of these fleshscapes, each Nation has religions related to their own super organism. Khaenri'ah had it's own, which is also large enough to be underneath the whole of Teyvat called the Abyss, but prior to the Cataclysm, religion dies down plenty amongst Khaen's Government and starts to view the Abyss through a more scientific lense, a creature instead of a god, hence why Khaen is called Godless. Celestia didn't like the Abyss not being revered and being questioned.

[Friend] Anyways, despite the fact that whole religions are made around these flesh pits, the Seven couldn't give less of a crap about the people. They barely even notice them, they just breathe and eat and do normal living creature stuff. Yes, they could walk around, be worshipped like deities, but that'd be too much energy wasted and they're already given more than enough sacrifices or meals to be sustained in sleep.

[Friend] enough so that they may not even need to wake up to feast (which worshipers would interpret as their Gods being displeased, but they're just hungry and don't care about you) so they stay where they are.

[Friend] They're still as intelligent as they are in canon but only want to do the bare minimum to live for energy conservation)

[Friend] Anyways, no Gnoses. Instead the Seven Underworlds are imbued with their respective elements. Buer is full of plant life. Barbatos always releases howling winds from his mouth and is full of even more winds. Hydro is underwater and produce water itself, you get the idea.

[Friend] While Celestia hands out visions, holding the element of your nation's Underworld grants the most prestige.

[Friend] Why? It helps you navigate the Seven.

[Friend] example: Jean, with her Anemo vision, can resonate with Barbatos and get a feel for how to navigate him, get a bigger picture on the grand scale of things. The more skilled you are with a vision, the clearer that picture is. You can also get an idea of what the Underworld is feeling.

[Friend] heck, people run expeditions. During the rare moments the superorganisms open their mouths, people with resonating visions join parties that explore their Underworlds, and gather resources, from the native animals to bodily fluids to mining the fleshscapes themselves. Resonator's are essential to these teams!

[Friend] It varies from nation to nation and person to person what is and isn't okay to take from their gods. The spoils are seen as blessings and gifts.

[Friend] also resonance isn't all that good, if you go too deep into the connection with the Underworld, it's MIND, you risk being put into a trance of some sort, where the superorganisms compels you to stray from your team, go in deeper, and become a permanent part of the immune system, killing of anything from outside.

[Friend] So the Resonator holds prestige but someone always keeps an eye on them, lest they be lost forever.

[Friend] Why does Celestia keep the Seven and Abyss around? It keeps humanity busy, everyone is busy with pleasing these superorganisms, and thus do not have the time to rebel against Celestia or anything.

[Friend] also I decided just now that the flesh pits were once known as the Eight but after the Cataclysm it became the Seven with knowledge of the Abyss being forgotten over time, that's going to be a big fuck up on Celestia's part.

[Friend] anyways, amalgamations. Celestia killed off most of Khaenri'ah by destroying the physical area and pushed survivors into the Abyss. Trapped, most people died off to the dangers, others became amalgamations that take the place of abyss mages, hilichurls, etc. They're killed and used for resources in the Abyss and outside. It's seen as mercy killing given how much pain they're in, or die with their unstable bodies finally breaking.

[Friend] A lucky few people managed to survive the Abyss without being turned into amalgamations. That or they're amalgamations who aren't constantly in agony as their new bodies work perfectly fine by pure luck.

[Friend] Examples include Kaeya and his family who are still wholly humans. Dainsleif may look human but he's an amalgamation who won the lottery and became immortal. Or lost it depending on your viewpoint of immortality.

[Friend] when Tartaglia fell into the Abyss, he was forced to become an Amalgamation to survive. Think Foul Legacy with more body horror and permanent. He's still completely sane with his love for battle but his shitty parents kick him out due to his state and lied to his siblings about a terrible monster that killed big brother Ajax and tried to trick the family. The Fatui is quicker to pick him up here.

[Friend] Sidenote, on the EXTREMELY rare occasion that someone becomes an amalgamation who is perfectly fine—like they don't feel any pain with their body and it doesn't collapse in on itself— they're seen as blessed by whatever Underworld they got transformed in. They also get fused w/ their element if they were an allogene w/ their vision on hand during the amalgamation process.

[Friend] During the Cataclysm, all Underworlds except for Morax and Barbatos died thanks to the Abyss thrashing around, causing catastrophic earthquakes throughout Teyvat with the others caught in the crossfire. Celestia was real violent with shoving Khaenri'ah's people into the Abyss.

[Friend] Mondstadt and Liyue were fucked, sure, but the other nations with dead gods WITHERED for a good while. These nations were built around superorganisms which were now giant, rotting corpses. The ecosystem of Teyvat was fucked for a good while. Then came the new superorganisms that ate the remains of the dead Underworlds and took their place as the new gods for Teyvat.

[Friend] 500 years later Teyvat is still worse off than before the Cataclysm but it's very close to a full recovery.

[Friend] When it comes to groups like Tenryou Commission or the Fatui, they believe they're carrying out the will of their Underworlds, be it the Vision Hunt Decree or rebelling against Celestia. They believe their Gods want them to do this.

[Friend] Except the Underworlds don't want anything except to survive, to breathe, eat when hungry and sleep. They're ultimately uninvolved with human matters. (Another reason why Celestia doesn't exterminate them)

[Friend] I don't know why people think they hear the will of their Underworlds though. Anyways, this Teyvat is not a crueler world necessarily, but a more uncaring one, that sees humans are irrelevant, not worth a thought. The Underworlds don't want to live as gods or people with agendas. The Underworlds wants to continue to survive another day and keep on existing. Nothing more, nothing less.

[Friend] That's all I got but I'll keep you updated while I create.

[Friend] nvm nvm nvm I got more, all the animal hybrid people like the Adepti or Onis or ANYBODY with non-human traits are either survivors of the amalgamation process or descended from survivors.

Now,the reaction is mostly one of fear and respect. They consider this fellow God of yours a God of chaos,one that you are apparently good friends with. They gain a new respect for you as a God,and many holy texts are updated to include tales of your friend.

Honestly,many in attendance don't come out the same.

"AU" is now a more holy term,as it was used by you and your friend a bunch. Dispite not knowing what it means,many religious scholars consider it to be a term for different worlds the celestial Gods create.

Honestly this entire thing is highly interesting to me,and this Au is something I'd love to hear more about,as well as dive into how it would tie into sagau. This also got me thinking of how different AUs would tie into sagau,how certain characters would react to popular AUs like 5wirl.

Was thinking about the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park thing again (my beloved...), which got me thinking about my Celestial Harmonies National Park Au, so here’s something silly for it while I try to figure out what the hell to do with the next chapter because it’s been MONTHS.

Anyway, if you’re new to the au, Crowley works at a national park in the states that is protected by an eldritch angel Aziraphale who pretends to be a mountain man-looking human that Crowley has a crush on and vise versa. 

Warning: Fire

This takes place before their relationship and before Crowley learns the truth about Aziraphale.

“You didn’t have to come out with me, but it’s nice to have the company.” Crowley said as he unscrewed the paneling on the control board, taking a look inside.

Yep, just as he suspected, the wiring and motherboard for the radio controls were fried. Judging by the smell and the, uh, burnt object that was clearly not made of metal and protective rubber, a little rodent found a way into the building. 

Clearly the culprit, poor thing. Must have nibbled on some wires or something.

“I was in the area, and it’s always nice to spend time with you, dear.” Aziraphale smiled as he walked around the fire tower’s control room. 

This was one of the ones that was meant to be manned, but due to the fact that the power was wonky and the controls no longer working properly, it was out of order. But that’s why Crowley was here, really, they should get a professional, but he was one of the only ones who seemed to have any idea of how to repair something like this.

He had a feeling the reason he got the task was because he was one of the youngest on staff and Hastur and Ligur were not computer savvy in any way. So, instantly, that meant that they thought the youth should handle computer stuff. 

Fourteenth century minds, those two. 

“Oh my, the poor little thing.” Aziraphale frowned as he looked inside. “Right, well, how do you go about fixing this?”

“Replace the parts, easy enough to do. I suspected as much so I got some replacement items ordered and they came in. Can’t be too careful, it’s meant to be dry this summer.”

“Oh yes.” Aziraphale’s frown deepened. “I’ll have to do my best to keep watch of that.”

Crowley snorted. “Just listen to the radio every morning and look at those silly Smokey Bear signs they’ve got scattered about for the visitors.”

“But those only do so much, dear. I’ll have to keep my eyes out everywhere, you never know how far deep into these woods a fire could start. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen.”

Crowley paused in his unscrewing of the burnt circuit board. “You’ve seen a fire happen here?”

“A few times, actually. Quite scary, really, but I do my best to take care of them before they get worst.”

The younger of the two sat up, raising an eyebrow. “You’ve put out fires? A man of many jobs here, that’s what you are.”

Aziraphale laughed. “It’s my home, Crowley. I must do everything I can to protect it and keep it safe!”

“How do you put out the fires then? Do you have a team or something?” He asked as he got back to work.

“Oh, uh, well, it’s a system, really. Lots of water and the like. I tend to do it all myself.”

“But... but that’s dangerous! You could get hurt, or-or killed!”

Aziraphale waved a hand about. “Calm down, love, I’m fine! I’ve done it for years, and have always been very careful! I never get too close, I very much like my body as it is, thank you very much. Goodness knows I do not need to be filling out that paperwork.” He muttered this last part but Crowley still heard it.

“Paperwork? What?”

“Nothing, do not worry your pretty head about it!” Aziraphale laughed, but it almost sounded forced. “Ah, yes, let’s, uh, get back to the task at hand. Get this place back to working order, ship shaped and all that, yes?”

Crowley eyed him, but nodded. “Yeah, alright, back to work then.” He turned back to the circuit board, glancing at Aziraphale, who was fiddling with some of the tools that Crowley had left out.

Another thing to add to the weird list of things Aziraphale has said or done since meeting him weeks ago. He puts out fires all by himself? Something about paperwork tied to harm and his body? 

Aziraphale continued to be the biggest mystery in this park, aside from that blasted angel, and Crowley was going to do his best to figure him out. Someday.

The fire was blazing and the smoke was hurting his eyes and throat, but Crowley wasn’t going to let that stop him. 

“Aziraphale!” He screamed. “Aziraphale, where are you!?”

He knew he had to be here somewhere, he saw the idiot run into the fire. “I can’t find you! Where are you!?” He called out, only to scream when a large, flaming branch dropped to the ground in front of him, knocking him to the ground. 

He coughed harshly and looked around, even with all the smoke and heat around him, he felt a wetness on his face. 

“You said you’re safe doing this! You said you knew how to handle this!” 

He still couldn’t see any sign of the angel, no wings or eyes, nothing.

Maybe...

Maybe he wasn’t able to stop this one.

Maybe he got overwhelmed.

Maybe...

Crowley didn’t know he was screaming at Heaven, Hell, and whoever else until he curled up, his chest aching something horrible. He couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t move, it all hurt, but nothing hurt more than having no idea where Aziraphale had gone.

Hello!! What’s the “mystery flesh pit”?

it is my beloved and it fills me with joy every time i think abt it <3

ok but genuinely, the mystery flesh pit, aka the permian basin superorganism (my beloved) is a multimedia horror concept about a... well, a flesh pit, living in the bowels beneath rural desert texas, somewhere near Odessa. it's super interesting, and if fleshrora (my beloved) is a concept that you like, then you'd probably def love the mystery flesh pit!

here's some super intriguing things abt its lore:

- the "flesh pit" is consistent with the innards of a large creature, fit with attractions such as "thor's ribcage", "oyster's shame", "god's mistake", "septum falls," and the "solemn circus clown chymus". its genetic tissue composition isn't comparable with any known creature, but it is, indeed, still flesh.

- when the flesh pit was discovered, it was soon turned into a national park / tourist attraction, much to the unwellness of the flesh pit. what sort of unwellness, you ask? some examples are that people who visit it hardly mind trashing it with litter, or dumping oil from their campsites, or injuring it in their attempts to traverse it.

beyond that, much like when our beloved flesh moon Aurora was turned into a ship by carmilla, engineers have cut into the flesh pit and mangled its natural form in order to make visitor centers, catwalks, gift shops, and general infrastructure inside of it for tourists. this occasionally results in "spasm fits", where the flesh pit spasms and fights and chokes against the engineering inside of it. this, as well, has been turned into a sight to marvel at. they take its pain as entertainment.

- there are creatures who have adpated to live purely inside the flesh pit, such as the "amorphous shame", which is a weasel that has changed over time to simply become a bag of organs that feeds off of the flesh pit's amniotic excretions.

- speaking of amniotic excretions, there are "thermal amniotic springs" that, when bathed in, make people... hmm... lu- ...hor- ....fine ill say it. they make people wanna fU-

- in 2007, disaster struck for the flesh pit, and the flesh pit alone. yes, okay, over 700 people died in the event, but i have no sympathy for them. only for the flesh pit. /hj

to summarize, there was supposed to be a 4th of july fireworks event, but alas, it was too rainy! not a single firework would be visible in that overcast sky. the visitors were angry, dismayed, demanding compensation. and so Anodyne (thats the flesh pit "caretaker" company's name) said "ok! fine! you get more time in the lower visitor center. 4 hours past curfew. go ham."

and go ham they did! but, that would prove to be one domino in a series of failures. see, the harsh rain soon overflowed into the flesh pit's sand gullet (think of a throat), and the pumps that would usually drain it were broken, so it flooded into it's lungs / bronchial area. and, since it's late, there's less staff on board to control the situation. add to that the fact that the visitor center's suspension is taking strain from the increased capacity, and... the flesh pit begins to spasm.

it chokes, and it keeps choking, until it breaks the retraints built inside it, and the entire visitor center (placed somewhere in its esophagus) collapses. other infrastructure begins to break as well.

the staff, predictably, are like "whoops! uh oh! oh no! whoopsy daisies!" and try to subdue it by injecting it with gallons of whale tranquilizer. this has an oppisite effect, however, and simply makes it choke more, and more, until... it vomits. it spews toxic gut-juice into the air, making a large portion of the texas population severely ill.

and somewhere, several miles away from the entry orifice of the flesh pit...... large, titanic limbs begin to sprout up from the ground.
