Omori Xenoblade 2 Crossover au

Am very bored so I just wanted to share a silly crossover idea I thought up. I hope you folks enjoy reading.

(Main ships are Heromari, Cactiflower, and Sunburn)

Hero (Driver): A driver from Uraya. His family is part of the Urayan nobility, and like in canon, they pressure him to become a doctor, (One that treats injured soldiers) even though he wants to be a chef, specifically one that serves the common people and downtrodden. He defended himself with a frying pan before becoming a driver, but now fights using Mari’s tessen’s, or war fans. He wasn’t able to become a driver at first since he wasn’t attuned to it, but after Mari became his blade, he got better at it.

He wears the typical Urayan outfit, not as grand as some of the nobles, but he doesn’t mind at all. He wears Urayan armor while in battle, though the chest plate has a symbol that resembles an Aegis’s core chip or the Conduit. He has dark blue hair (As blue as his canon RW shirt) and has scale-like protrusions on his cheeks and neck.

Like in canon, he’s an extremely nice, friendly guy, though unlike in canon, he didn’t have depression or survivors guilt due to never meeting Mari until his adulthood. He is of course completely terrified of Arachno’s, though highly appreciates nature otherwise. His and Kel’s parent’s have blades of their own, his dad has an earth-based, doglike blade named Hector and his mom has a light-based, human blade named Polly.

Mari (Blade): A wind-based attack class blade who has an appearance partially resembling that of a spider, such as having 2 pairs of beady eyes, bristles on her human arms and legs, and 4 spider-like webs on her back. She wears a short-skirt kimono that is colored in many shades of purple, two scarves that she weaved with her ability of making web-like strings, and wields war fans that she can use to hit in a distance by tying webs around them.

Just as kind as Mari, but can be very sagely in her advice and a little mellow… almost depressed. This happiness comes back when she sees Sunny, her so-called little brother…… and becomes depressed again when she remembers that Sunny doesn’t remember her… or does he? She kicks herself out of the depression by talking about bugs, weaving and knitting clothing/plushies, and playing the family piano or accordion.

Mari is actually a flesh eater, one that has existed almost as long as Jin had, before Torna got destroyed. She and her little brother were awakened by a driver who they considered their dad, and before he died. (Old age, he survived Torna.) He offered his heart to his daughter as he favored her more than Sunny. While Sunny went back into his core crystal and became mysteriously lost, Mari remained active and conscious…… so she decided to travel the world and help people.

Heromari Dynamic: Hero would meet Mari while she was in Fonsa Myma, donating clothing and playing a button accordion. Although afraid of her at first, Hero would be endeared by her kindness, beauty underneath her spider-like features, as well as her mischievous, smug nature. Mari would be endeared by how much of a kindhearted, selfless dork Hero was, (And also wanting to act as an older sister-in-law for Kel, since he sorta reminds her of her little brother) and decide to pick him as her driver.

They’re dynamic is the same as in canon, though Mari like to jumpscare him in the dark as she finds his scared reactions to be funny and adorable. She acts as a responsible teacher and older sister-in-law to Kel, teaching him how to knit and weave, encouraging him to be as confident in himself as he can, and offering sagely advice… albeit she gives advice to both brothers. She dotes heavily on their baby sister Sally.

Kel (Driver): Also a Driver from Uraya, and one who actually became a driver earlier than Hero did, in spite of their parents favoring the latter. More confident in himself than in canon due to Mari’s encouragement and the fact he’s a driver. Is the royal guard to Uraya’s queen, basically their version of special inquisitor Morag.

Wears gilded, modified Urayan armor, though this one is much lighter as he utilizes agility than brute force and tankiness. It is also shaded a faded orange as that is his favorite color. Same hair color as Hero yet also thicker, and has scales above his eyes. Kel doesn’t play basketball as it wasn’t invented in Uraya :(

If Hero likes nature, Kel LOVES it! He would never attempt to harm an animal, and would always find some way to drive them off/nonlethally incapacitate them. Loves Hector and takes him on walks, and is of course very energetic. He wields a scythe, first a regular war scythe then Basil’s Blade scythe. Usually joins meetings with Uraya and Mor Ardain, with him and Morag being friends (And gushing about their blade partners, which they get embarrassed by.)

Basil (Blade): An earth-based, tank type blade, Basil is regarded as “The flower of Uraya” and it fits very well for his appearance and personality. He always has a vibrant flower crown on his green-colored hair, and his outfit consists of a long robe overgrown with vines, mushrooms, moss, and of course, flowers. He wields a gardening scythe as his weapon.

Although his various incarnations (Such as Stranger, Rowan, and Flower) were of various characters, (Former was mysterious and very blunt, the middle was outright violent and rebellious, and the latter was far too closed-off and meek) This incarnation of Basil is one that is extremely kindhearted, albeit a little too insistent on how “everything is okay.” His overall appearance and demeanor is slightly based on who his driver is, and due to Kel’s optimism, bravery, and sense of responsibility, Basil shares these same traits.

He can be a little bit meek, shy, and socially anxious, but all in all he is a very reliable friend to his pals and a significant other to Kel, who they can all rely on and to never give up. He has been adopted by Polly, who acts as Basil’s mother-like figure. During the rare times they meet, Brighid acts as an older sister figure to Basil.

Cactiflower dynamic: After Hero’s failure in awakening Basil, (Thankfully only getting a nosebleed and headache instead of death.) their parents reluctantly had Kel try to awaken him so as to not become an embarrassment to the nobility. Thankfully, Kel managed to awaken him on the first try, and the both of them immediately got along very well without any issues, outside of some shyness over their mutual crushes.

Thankfully, after the acknowledgment and encouragement from Morag and her blade partner Brighid, Kel and Basil felt comfortable enough to start dating eachother, and now they are a powerful, inseparable pair! Unlike most of Basil’s previous driver, who were often sent to put down rebellions or slaughter political targets and beasts, Kel and Basil have instead decided to help out the population with their issues, helping fend off beasts on in way that harms not people nor nature, exemplifying Uraya’s culture of natural coexistence.

Also they love cuddling together because teehee it’s cute!

Aubrey (Driver): She is Tantalese, having a singular cross-shaped marking under each of her eyes. She’d be dressed similarly to the average citizen on the Titan, though her jacket would be white to reference her varsity jacket, and she'd have a pink ribbon that she got from the black market, made in the Uraya titan! Her family life would be similar to how she is in Omori, a shitty single drunk mom, having to rely on herself to feed her and her mom. She does this by hunting some of the wildlife and monsters, selling their parts in the black market to get stuff she needs.

Unlike in canon however, she wouldn’t have met the rest of the group yet. She’d be a lot more verbally harsh and closed off to strangers, and would be as brutally honest as possible. She’d however heavily idolize and maybe be friends with prince Zeke and Pandoria, thinking of them as pretty cool people she can trust greatly. (And she is objectively right) She’d wield a a sword with a gun stuck on it as a weapon before becoming a driver, and after that she’d ditch her old sword with the dual ones Sunny has. Speaking of…

Sunny (Blade): As stated, he’d be a dark type blade of the healer class, his weapon class being two butterfly swords. His initial design would be inspired by the Komusō monks (Specifically the basket mask, kimono and flute) and the Nekomata, (Specifically with two tails and cat ears. No human ones though) though with enough trust with Aubrey and maybe some of the gang they’ll eventually meet with, he’ll take off the basket mask and show he only has one eye….. and that his core chip is cracked! (His right eye is replaced with black foggy mist.)

His cracked core chip would give him some pretty bad amnesia and dissociate, often referring to himself as either Sunny or Omori. He’s also be a bit more verbally sassy due to influence from Aubrey. He would have the special ability to absorb any attacks via a black hole, and then shoot these attacks back whenever he feels like. Also he’d have several red hands extending from his back.

Strangely… Sunny would be drawn to artwork, music, or people that resembled the ancient Torna Titan, one that had been destroyed 500 years ago….. and he’d have brief recollections of a person named Mari….. weird, normally blades wouldn’t remember their past lives…

Sunburn Dynamic: So like… Aubrey is a little distrusting of Sunny even though he is a blade, and it doesn’t help that he wears that strange basket mask. Snuuy… while not at all distrusting of Aubrey still doesn’t show much emotion and is shy. But then later she decides…… hey, she should take inspiration from how the prince and how he interacts with his Blade and just…… over exaggerate herself as much as possible. Give Sunny cute nicknames like Sunbun or Sunshine… even go as far as to pose dramatically like prince Zeke would…… and Sunny starts chuckling happily, and it was probably the cutest laughter Aubrey has ever heard.

Then their relationship gets better, Aubrey offering Sunny piggybacks as she is very STRONK, and Sunny plays tunes with a flute he has one him so as to soothe her. Eventually, the both of them decide they would escape Tantal and the overall Genbu Titan and go out into the cloud sea….. where a wider world and possible friends await them.

I am going to this for the twins Myra and Aniara:

Myra:

1 - His named is actually wrong. He was supposed to be named Myma after the AI who commits suicide in the movie Aniara but due to the Rot, Arlo got the name wrong. Myra much prefers Myra to Myma.

2 - Refuses to cut his hair so he doesn't look like his dad. Since he found out the past abuse his father subjected his mother to and all he did, Myra wants nothing to do with it.

3 - Great at practical magic (like his dad), but refuses to use it.

4 - Bought an Akyia in mount Komerobi because it was rumoured to be haunted by the souls of all the sims who died up the mountain pass and forest.

5 - Would have been an amazing singer. Knows how to sing very well and plays the piano in his free time. But snowboarding is his passion.

Aniara:

1 - Is a foodie with a love for food and cooking. Has no other creative talent other than being a great cook and is happy with that. She often cooks for her brother and invites him over for dinner, otherwise man will only eat a cup of noddles and two boiled eggs.

2 - As a teen she used to be quite fat. She would have been bullied, had she not become the bully first. But has always been very insecure about her looks. When she moved to Komerobi she started becoming more mindful of her diet and exercising and lost a lot of weight. Still as weight anxiety.

3 - Is in love with her 'sempai' Tomoyo-chan whose family runs and owns the bakery she works at. Becomes increasingly more interested in bakery when for no reason whatsoever Tomoyo decides to work the same shifts as her.

4 - Keeps adopting random cats, usually to gift her lonely twin brother.

5 - On her free time she adores exploring Komerobi and going to the Onsen.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Headcanons: Going Our Own Ways

Last time, I concluded that the gang all said their goodbyes and went their seperate ways. But before I do that, I'm going to explain who owned all the Rare Blades. The whole gang owned them all, but they all split them equally between each other.

Rex: Roc, Wulfric, Praxis, Theory, Godfrey, Agate, Kora, Azami, Adenine, Zenobia, Akhos, Patroka, Mikhail, Sever, T-elos, Crossette, Corvin

Nia: Boreas, Ursula, Sheba, Vess, Electra, Floren, Obrona

Mórag: Perceval, Vale, Kasandra, Perun, Newt, Finch, Perdido

Zeke: Gorg, Dagas, Nim, KOS-MOS, Herald, Dahlia, Cressidus

Rex obviously keeps Pyra and Mythra, Roc, and can use Nia as his own Blade, Nia keeps Dromarch, Mórag keeps Brighid and Aegaeon, Zeke keeps Pandoria, Tora can't resonate with anyone, and Poppibuster can be used on anyone.

Now that I've mentioned all the Rare Blades, let's find out where everyone now lives in Elysium.

Gormott: Tora and Poppi to live with Tora's father and his own Artificial Blade, Lila, Vess to live with the kids of her past driver, Electra to play with all the children of Torigoth, as well as using her powers to help people in need, Kasandra to just bring good luck to all of Torigoth, Ursula to play the Torigonda and sing with Kiara, in which they eventually start a band, and Poppibuster to protect Tora's family.

Uraya: Gorg to continue to run the desserts shop he set up in the game, Agate just roams around the country, studying Mineralogy, Roc and Wulfric to help lead the Garfont Mercenaries along with Yew and Zuo. Floren also now lives in Uraya, and he teaches an Forestry class in Fonsa Myma to kids about protecting the trees of Elysium and how to properly care for them.

Mor Ardain: Mórag, Brighid, and Aegaeon all go back to their home to help lead and protect Mor Ardain along with the Emperor, while Perdido and Newt become Generals to the Ardainian army. Eventually, Mórag embraces the lesbian side of her transgender bisexuality, and ends up marrying Brighid. I'm including this, because it's probably canon in the base game storyline. Sheba also now lives in Mor Ardain, and oftenly throws female-only parties, as that's just Sheba's personality; Hating men and loving women.

Temperantia: Dagas, now as a Flesh Eater, and an army/civilization of Common Baldes that he created all live in Temperantia, eventually creating a brand new version of Regideria that Dagas rules over as king!

Leftheria: Rex, Pyra, Mythra, Nia, and Dromarch all stay in Fonsett, now raising children of their own. Praxis and Theory also stay to live in Fonsett, as Praxis is still secretly married to Rex. Kora and Azami stay in Fonsett and they always try to seduce men into liking them, but it usually fails. Obrona stays as the Village Comedian, Vale so that she can continue teaching kids and even adults about her weaving. Crossette never leaves Pyra; she's too much of a fan girl to just leave her hero, and Corvin stays as well, because at this point, he's now dating Crossette. T-elos also chooses to stay in Leftheria, as the Village Warrior, protecting Fonsett from any monsters or villas attacking the village.

Tantal: Zeke and Pandoria officials come home to Tantal, and now Zeke rules over Theosoir as the new king, and he eventually marries Pandoria. Cressidus now lives in Theosoir as the city's Botany Master, Herald becaomes the city's Guardian, and even though the people now know about the incident that took place in the past, the people all love and look up to Herald. Dahlia now lives in Tantal, and even teaches Kastina, a girl who admires Dahlia in the base game, how to be a properly beautiful lady. Last but not least, KOS-MOS lives in Theosoir as well, acting not just as a right-hand Blade to Zeke, but also a friend to Astelle, Zeke's cousin, who admires KOS-MOS in the base game.

World Tree: Adenine is the only Blade who actually stays in the World Tree, as she constantly does research on all the mystery data inside the World Tree.

All of Elysium: Patroka and Mikhail go together as a dating couple, exploring more of the new world. And while Akhos wanted to join them, he chose to stay in Leftheria to teach his theatre class. Zenobia explores the whole of Elysium, looking for extremely tough monsters to fight, joined by Sever and Finch. Boreas goes on a gourmet tour around all of Elysium, looking for foods he can eat. Perceval, Perun, and Godfrey form a Justice Trio, and they search for any remaining evil in Elysium for them to exterminate.

And so, that wraps it up entirely on my headcanons for Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Well, maybe... Either way, I hope you enjoy them all! If you don't know the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, go look up the stories or play the game yourself; It's a very good game with an astounding story!

Will be talking about a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 area, not super spoilers but still just in case!

So I'd genuinely love to hear from others about this because I had such a weird experience when entering the corpse of the Urarayan whale for the first time and I'd love to hear if someone had a similar, or even completely different, experience!

So when you first enter that area and you can see the ruins of Fonsa Myma and the entirety of the insides all hollowed out I felt.. this weird sense of loss. I couldn't place it at the time but I felt some sort of despair I guess? It's hard to describe but it wasn't a pleasant feeling. Seeing a place I have spent hours in in complete ruins, almost nothing left of it gave me this pit in my stomach.

I thought about it a lot and why I felt this way when most people would look at it and go "oh.." and just move right along. I think it genuinely triggered a similar reaction to when I saw my downtown in near ruins when hurricane Maria came around to Puerto Rico. That sense of seeing places that I had been to or al least seen either no longe accessible because of rubble or outright destroyed.

I never thought a game would make me feel this way but leave it up to monolith I guess!

pairing: minoth x gn!reader

tags: slight spoilers for the ending of torna, fluff

the first time you saw minoth was in auresco

he regularly showed up in town and he caught your attention

when you eventually approached him, you started to learn more about him

that he was a blade. and not just any blade, but the praetor's blade!

the closer you got to him, the more he revealed to you. that he was a flesheater. and how much he feared and despised amalthus

he found someone he could trust in you. someone he could open up to about his fears and problems

the two of you were spending a lot of time together and despite never saying it out loud, it was clear you two had feelings for each other

there would be months where you didn't see minoth at all, as he was away, traveling through alrest or visiting indol

but you knew he would always return to you

when torna was eventually destroyed, you feared you would never see him again

you were worried that he hadn't survived his battle against malos

but a few months later, the two reunited again, in a refugee camp on spessia

the two of you were relieved to meet again and to learn that the other one was unharmed

now that you were finally together again, minoth vowed to never leave you again

you ended up running away together to uraya, where you settled down in fonsa myma

you lived a happy life there, the two of you starting to work at the theater there, until you passed away many years later…

send me a “⭐️” and i’ll use a random thing picker to choose one of my F/Os, and i’ll reply to the ask with a small infodump about my selfship with them! - For this one, spinning the random wheel of names resulted in Pyra!~

Pyra is one of the main characters of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, renowned as the legendary Aegis Blade. She has incredible fire-element powers that stem from her "sister" Mythra's light-element abilities, and she wields the Aegis Sword in battle alongside her Driver, Rex. Her aim to reach Elysium drives a lot of the story forwards. To selfship with Pyra, I use my main XC2 self-insert, Sapphire! As a reminder, she’s the adopted daughter of Vandham, so she grew up in Garfont Village in Uraya (but she came there from Gormott, and is indeed Gormotti by race as shown by her cat ears). She joins the party alongside Vandham in Chapter 3, taking over from Tora to become a playable character after the end of Chapter 4.

Pyra and Sapphire first meet near the start of Chapter 3 (which is when Sapphire herself is introduced), when the party first arrives in Garfont Village. Both of us find the other very pretty from the beginning, but Sapphire is the one who gets romantic feelings first and then Pyra’s develop shortly afterwards; this happens as the party make their journey from one end of Uraya to the other, which I like to think is a lot more of an process than the half a day of in-game time it takes to walk in-game. It's a whole kingdom, after all! I don't have a specific time in mind for any kind of official confession scene, but I reckon it would probably come shortly after finally making it to Fonsa Myma, the capital of Uraya. This is perhaps not the best timing, considering that it's therefore right before Pyra gets taken to Olethro Playhouse and the subsequent big boss fight against Malos and Akhos and their Blades, but maybe that's just what happens. It gets followed up with another scene afterwards, where Sapphire takes Pyra up to the Dragon's Whiskers (a secret area with an amazing view) and we talk through everything that happened, since.. it was a lot, even if that whole sequence of events doesn't quite go how it does in canon in my version of events.

From then onwards, we are together through the rest of the plot of XC2, with Pyra proposing to Sapphire a ways into Chapter 5 under the aurorae on the last night the party spends in Leftheria. We don't actually get married until after the game ends, though, mainly because both Pyra and Sapphire wanted to ask for the other's parent's permission. In Pyra's case, that just meant asking Vandham, who was of course absolutely overjoyed and crying a lot and approved immediately, but in Sapphire's case, that meant asking the Architect, literal creator of the entire world of Alrest. But, she did. Right before the final boss fight, but.. she did, and he approved, and things worked out okay in the end after we beat the final boss, so it's fine =P
