Found this Buddhist text from a monastery in Taiwan at a thrift store in Ottawa, ON. Very interesting read. I’ve started collection radical religious or cult text and I think this fits in nicely. Buddhism is probably my fav religion, this was a weird and cool read.

Have you picked up any new books lately? 🎥 NOT LIKE THE MOVIES by Kerry Winfrey came out yesterday, and it is SO dang cute! It's a follow-up companion to WAITING FOR TOM HANKS, though it could be read as a standalone. I adored the first book, but I think I liked this one even more. I just adored Chloe and Nick, and their reluctant but explosive love story. This book really has some of the best romance tropes (including grumpy cinnamon roll hero & only! one! bed!), and they are all executed to perfection. . . When did you start your bookstagram? 18th August 2015 according to IG! Why did you start a bookstagram? To be honest it was probably because I missed the wonderful community and the interactions with bookish folk but didn’t want the pressure of blogging. I’m really glad I carried it on! What inspired your user name? It’s the name I used for my blog, I wanted a bookish reference and bibliobeth seemed to go together quite nicely ☺️ What was the first review you ever posted? Oh dear, I dread to think! On my blog it was Boy by Roald Dahl. Favourite part of bookstagram Easy peasy - the people. I’ve made friends for life, had unforgettable buddy reads and heard about books that I wouldn’t usually come across. Bookstagram made me buy… EVERYTHING. And I’m not joking 🤣 What is your favourite bookstagram tag? Probably obvious to those who know me well but easily #bookhaul it’s my most used anyway 🙈 What is your bookstagram aesthetic? Here’s where I get a bit embarrassed - I don’t really have one! 🫢 I use my tub chair for hauls as it’s a pretty material, I love using candles and plants and try to take pics outside wherever possible. I see so many amazing bookstagrammers doing incredible things but I don’t think I have the creativity or the patience, what you see is what you get with me! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Recent faves? Not good. I can’t believe a woman wrote this. In what world would a girl be punished for a nude photo of her taken without her consent being shared by a boy?!?!?! I would never let any young girl read this book in fear they would have any shame by being SEXUALLY ASSAULTED. was this book written in 1952? I’m triggered lol. The boy should be in jail. That should be the story. 👏🏻

Non taggo nessuno ma se volete rispondere anche voi alle domande fate pure ☺️ LIBRI LUNGHI O BREVI: I libri lunghi sono stupendi ma per questioni di tempo ultimamente apprezzo sempre di più quelli brevi IN LINGUA O TRADOTTI: Tradotti nella speranza che sia una buona traduzione! Ma alcuni autori solo in lingua originale (inglese). Parlo di Sylvain Reynard e Tiffany Reisz nello specifico AUTORE DEL CUORE: Christopher Paolini perché mi ha letteralmente introdotto al magico mondo della lettura AUTORE CHE NON SOPPORTI: Nessuno in realtà. Piuttosto non mi piace l'atteggiamento di certi fan di alcuni scrittori che reputano quello che tale scrittore scrive "intoccabile" e questo mi fa provare una certa antipatia verso tale scrittore. Ma ovviamente non avendo letto nulla di suo e non avendolo mai conosciuto non mi esprimo GENERE CHE NON LEGGI: Credo di aver toccato più o meno tutti i generi e tutti a suo modo hanno pregi e difetti. Però essendo ormai diventata "adulta" apprezzo e leggo molto meno libri YA UN SAGGIO CHE HAI APPREZZATO: Perché i saggi possono trattare vari argomenti cito Nerdopoli che è davvero davvero bello e interessante nel trattare argomenti che qualcuno (a torto) non reputerebbe adatti ad un saggio TRA SAGGIO E ROMANZO: Romanzo, per quanto ci siano bellissimi e interessantissimi saggi (vedi sopra) DOVE LEGGI: Sul mio letto XD Adoro leggere in treno ad esempio.
