Monday Anime Line Up!

Still in so much pain from work yesterday that I am having trouble standing on my own. I know I really pushed myself hard to prove i could do the job but I need to stop doing that honestly. I am supposed to go over to my friend's house and cook for her tonight but I am in so much pain that I don't know if I can actually handle it. Ugh, guilt is such a thing with me.😩

Just finished watching Infinity Train (or what’s available of it). What a wonderful, intense adventure of a series~! Now I understand why people wanna put various fictional characters on that darned train, and I’m even more pissed off that it got canceled and can’t be easily watched anymore. Bastard executives. I’ll never forgive them for this. I’m gonna hunt down DVDs so I can at least own the first couple seasons.

So I finally got around to watching Arcane after wanting to watch it for literal years.

I've completed it and after giving myself a few days to mentally recover with season 2. I've just got one thing I'd like to comment on.

Holy fuck everyone's hot.

Like I've wanted to watch arcane for awhile but decided to do it now cause of season 2.

I don't like spoilers and season 1 was spoiled enough for me so I decided fuck it and binged it before it could happen again.

But anyway back to my point, they're all hot and I am fucking weak for so many of them.

BUT IT'S PRIMARILY PEOPLE I DIDN'T THINK I'D FALL FOR?! THIS IS MOSTLY AFTER SEASON 2 BUT STILL!

Both of them are included in this and no I will not elaborate. Alt vander is hot especially🫣 (I want to fuck both of them to be honest)

Vander was a surprise. Like I found him hot but wasn't attracted to him, and then we saw more of him in 2 and I was officially hooked.

Silco was in a similar boat. Didn't fall for him for awhile and then !BAM! I love him now.

Mommy? Sorry mommy? I don't even have any words like girrrl this shot especially😩 they love giving her shots at lower angles and I am all for it.(included gif below cause well..)

In season one, I was looking at her like "damn she's hot but she's a bit boring" BUT IN TWO THAT BITCH BECOMES A WHOLE ANTAGONIST AND YOU SHOULD KNOW BY NOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT RIDICULOUSLY ATTRACTIVE VILLAINS (*cough* doflamingo *cough* he runs my whole blog *fucking dies via coughing fit*)

Annnyway this concludes my ramble about attractive fictional characters for the third time this week.(expect to see more lmao)

finally ready to call it: undead girl murder farce is the anime of the season (sorry zom100 you are also very good but something magical is happening here)

there is a lot to praise about this series, but the first thing that comes to mind for me is pacing. it takes its time with each case, not hesitating to spend a few episodes on one despite only having thirteen episodes to work with

while that means it's doubtful we'll have any resolution in the "main" mystery in this first cour, i'm glad the anime isn't rushing to just adapt as much content as possible

theater and theatrics are so integral to this story that pacing, here, feels even more significant than it does in most shows. we'll probably be left hoping for a second season after these thirteen episodes are over, but i'd much rather that than a rushed adaptation

the characters are phenomenal, they're familiar and fresh all at once. you have your mished and mashed league of extraordinary gentlemen public domain literary figures, your wet sopping pathetic beast of a man tsugaru, your kickass battle maid shizuku who clearly would not hesitate to kick tsugaru off a train chiyoh-style if the opportunity arose, your genius detective aya with a banging sense of humor and absolutely no body to speak of, and so on and so forth

european mysteries and heists delivered with a rakugo twist isn't a combination of flavors i could have ever conceived of myself, but now that undead girl murder farce has done it so well, i'll be eating up every crumb

Saturday Anime Line Up!

I'm gonna start this in a weird way. Last night at 2300 i had the sudden urge to cook since I hadn't in two days. If you are following me or the anime communities I am in you will know that the birthday's of two important people in my life that I lost are back to back. I am pretty much useless to do anything those day sadly, but for some reason I got fidgety and well here are the results.😋

So I made Japanese Curry with pork belly and lots of veggies. St Louis Ribs Chinese style and roasted veggies of all kinds from Japanese eggplant to fennel to zucchini! Finally I had a plate with vegetable and egg furikake sprinkled on and white peach sparkling mash. It was delicious and worth the trouble! 🤤

Today I had the ribs for dinner along with the veggies too!😉

Wow! If anyone had not watched the first half of the series and came in here, it would seem like an amazing fantasy anime with some really good sakuga, interesting characters, and a pretty good plot! Oh and of course the best voice for a villain in the history of anime. Dio's seiyuu!😈

I'm not going to lie, I love this kind of mini arc. The whole betting trope where the stakes are high and usually a lively hood is on the line get me pretty excited! I mean we knew who was going to win of course, but that aside the last 10 min, were what really got me. Those methods of...well you know...man, I would not want to meet any of them in broad daylight in the middle of NYC cause I would still be gone from this life for sure! 🤯

Last week was so light hearted with the Gayru group G4...well no G5 and Mori helping out tsundere to have a better life to that ending and this weeks ep of brothers and revenge and things just got way more serious even in the middle of the comedy moments.😲

Yeah, it's just a pilot. I have to admit I don't watch a lot of indie animation (hard for me to get into new things; I was technically never in the Helluva fandom either, my friend just wrote a lot about it so I followed along the first season). But I've been a fan of this webcomic for the past few years, so latest pointless drama aside, I'll stick up for that one until my dying breath. It's a goddamn masterpiece, I'm super happy that the Backerkit has made two million, and I remain hyped as all hell for the first season.

I also simp really hard for one of the characters. Crushes tend to help me stick around.

I've watched the Satina pilot and the first episode, though it was a long while back. I think I enjoyed it. Has any more of it come out yet?

Spring 23 went by REAL quick and was a lighter one (I really have to accept that Fall 22 was an anomaly and the absurd amount of anime I vibed with won't be matched for a long time to keep my expectations in check) but like Winter 23 the ones I loved I really loved!

Sometimes I think my whole internal complex of “normies will not give a fuck if you mention old anime and only talk to you if you mention something newer even in the context you haven’t seen it/couldn’t get into it” is a bit exaggerated since a lot people are open to watch whatever and even if they don’t watch old things they’re chill- until yesterday where me and a new moot who I got into getter were talking and off handily they talked about a newer anime they couldn’t get into but people behind us since we were in the cafeteria heard us and immediately assumed we were fans of it 💀

Meeting anime fans on a community college campus sure is a blessing and a curse.
