Like OK so I've been reading a fic with trans wolfwood in it that is so. HONEST. About how it affected him and still affects him. In a way that's very much not an average cis writer portrayal of a trans character.

Like. Either this writer is trans or did plenty of research, but it just feels REAL to me. And it has me thinking about my own way of writing trans Wolfwood.

I'm not there yet. But I've been thinking about it. The ways that what the EOM did fucked him up... but it also acted as HRT that affirmed his gender. So what do you do when you're in a body you don't recognize, but looks much more like a man than ever before? There's some gender euphoria in a way, but dysphoria at the same time bc you didn't grow into this. You didn't watch yourself transition. Suddenly you just Were this, and it's not you, but also it's nice to finally be seen as a man, but it also feels wrong to feel grateful for any part of what they did to you...

On and on and on

You see? This is what I want to think about with him. This is why trans Wolfwood is so compelling to me. It's just so Complicated, he'd have such Complicated feelings about his body and the way he lives with it. He learns this new body, it starts to feel more like his, but he also mourns the fact that he didn't get to watch it grow into this like he should've.

That kind of thing.

Beside the fact he's the first to talk and bring up the 'enemy'-bit about Terasu (which I assume he 'heard' from Kongo altho why phrase it like that Goshiki istg-)(he makes me think as if he heard it from someone else. The fact a Yakuza boss died and left a 10 years old son behind (perhaps heir?) should cause a stir tho, so maybe the information comes from outside.. About whether the others knew about it too or Goshiki was the one to tell them right here tho, hm...) his words are also the most neutral? Kou, Satsuki and Torazo straight-up denigrate him, in different ways sure but still. Goshiki though, he's just like 'oh so it's you/him'. He's not letting how he feels about it shows? if he even feels something about it. His expression is the same as always, albeit toned down (his smile is smaller).

Shio is the first to talk to Terasu, then Satsuki and Torazo follow. Kou talked out loud as if Terasu wasn't here, and Goshiki really just talked to himself

Compared to the three others (Shio not counted), he doesn't outright attack Terasu. The use of the word 'enemy' is the only thing that makes it seem hurtful, but to as whether it truly was... uh. Plus, factually that's what Terasu's father was, and what Terasu is. Terasu's mom also called the Yotsurugi 'enemies' and so does Terasu at that time. That's just how it is.

Not talking about how every kids seem to be here but the rest outright just ignore Terasu at this moment.

And in parallel to that, his first second line in the chapter 1 as him talking about 'allies'. Why does he focus so much on allies and enemies. He's always the one bringing it up.

He (possibly) keeps an ear on the enemies, and keeps an eye on the allies. He's the one who sees how important connections are, if not being the one who uses them the most because he knows their potential.

Also, yeah, okay, he doesn't end every single one of his sentences with '...' but let me have this one

First, wtf was that reaction to Shio at the funeral? Him <- the face of a man who's absolutely serious about it but also absolutely not impacted by it. Sure Shio brings a chill because he's imposing and all, but Goshiki really couldn't care less look at him. Where does he feel threatened about Shio. He's so unfazed. Clown/Jester behavior honestly

And then Hibaru announces Shio isn't the family successor??? And Goshiki is the most expressive about it (we ignore Terasu rn bc that ain't about him, plus, different context)??? Sure, Shio's expression is quite something, that man is angry, but all the other siblings we see are taking Hibaru's speech lightly, they even seem to see through his lie(Shikaba) or to not care about it (/who would be named the next boss) (Taira) at all. And then there's Goshiki. Why would he be so surprised I don't know, but damn if it isn't hilarious

I wonder how victim learns that Alan is now a stick figure? Probably from footage of the showdown, and victim somehow recognizes that the purple stick is Alan. Anyways, the mercs would probably be ordered to hunt him down and bring him to the base. This could be really interesting, especially if Alan and King have already met.

YEAH.... the hunt for c!alan throughly interests me in this au, especially since victim also could have just noticed the artstyle. like, alan's sticks have a very particular look

they could probably mistake alan for a creation MADE BY alan instead, which brings up a very interesting topic: what happens if ALAN gets captured and victim doesn't immediately realize it's him????

this could also go into the ending of The Box if victim assumed it was Chosen and SC that were the only other hollowheads, and then discovered that there was one more. instead of hunting yellow they might end up accidentally going straight to the source, which means that everyone else has to be as prepared as possible to defend alan, because even if they've probably taught him some self-defense he is not going to be strong enough to beat them, much LESS able to actually think in the middle of combat

was thinking about how titans tower wasn't even a murder attempt canonically and tim was conscious and aware and able to stand up in the direct aftermath so even though jason was all 'let me show you what the joker did to me' he straight up didn't. lol.

but then it's like. this is the guy who was maximizing his capability for murder over the course of like a year max, if you're pushing the timeline. that's not a lot of time to grasp control over the various techniques. he's three years out from bruce's nonlethal training at this point. so far he's mostly been fighting (1) random goons (2) competent people he wants to kill and (3) batman. who's to say he remembers how to hold back and pull his punches. who's to say he doesn't accidentally kill tim because he wasn't careful enough controlling his strength.
