Soooo…. Yk about the whole 1920’s AU by @nerdywriter36 where Erik is a WWI veteran?

I was thinking about his awakening at the hospital and how it could have went…

I was thinking about him probably being unconscious for a while (some days? Or even weeks?) and then, after waking up, he asked the medics about the direness of the scars and got some pretty vague responses (tho still concerning), but then saw himself in a mirror that the nurses forgot to move away and, understandably, freaked out and became violent, this drawing shows that scene.

The hands are obviously some nurses trying to stop him from taking off his bandages (it wasn’t secure doing it yet) and one of them trying to drug him (to make him calm). The hands are disembodied for a couple of reasons: 1) It places Erik as the focus; 2) Can also be seen as a symbol for the ones lost to the war and the horrors of war (since they are gripping and paralysing him, a bit like trauma); 3)I’m unable to draw the other people (work smarter, not harder).

In the days after this accident he might have been drugged out of his mind (if they could afford it, which was rare, because those medications were needed for other patients) or tied up (which let his mind wonder).

The actual “unmasking” happened only after his wounds were closed (it took a while), he obviously didn’t react well and even tho he had wondered for a long time his imagination didn’t even come close to the reality he was facing.

I wanted to go with horror vibes here, it isn’t my strong suit, but I’m really proud of this.

Hope you don’t mind my yapping and theorising about your fic @nerdywriter36 and sorry for spamming.

I wonder if there will be elements of trauma on the actual fic.

The newest patrons of the Palais Garnier: the Okilo sisters!

(they sit in box five, per the managers’ gracious, yet suspicious request.) 

I wanted to make an AU where instead of leaving Germany, the Okilo family stays in Europe and their daughters become the latest patrons of the Palais Garnier! 

From applauding the ballerinas after a routine done well (which is new), poking fun at gawking guests, and teasing the managers for writing to them under such a silly alias (Who even is the ‘Opera Ghost’?), the girls have a lot of fun shaking things up!

Some stuff between my Erik and my OC Ashley Hayes (not a new oc, but I wanted to make an au version of him inside the PotO universe, teehee)

Some banter:

Ashley: “Do you like my masquerade costume?”

(It is in fact loosely based on the 2004 Ponr just because I think that a costume like that would annoy Erik a lot)

His response:

Erik: “I hate you sm… Why don’t you dress up as Edward Hyde, you stupid Englishman?”

My man is Irish and was not really happy

Plus some older doodles that I’ve never shared, because I thought that no one would give a fuck about my oc :,)

He’s Irish and 37 y.o. For a long time he worked in construction and other labor jobs around Ireland and also England, had the desire to see other countries.

He has moved to Paris for 3 years (doing different jobs, all simple stuff), thanks to a distant relative. Has been working to the Opera Garnier only for a couple of months under Bouquet and helping him (he’s more experienced and older than Ashley), but they have already created a pretty solid bond.

Like we know Bouquet liked to yap too much about the Phantom so Ashley, obviously, learned about it from him, but always thought it was some bs, until he actually caught a glimpse of the phantom and the first thing he wanted to do was to tell Bouquets, but the poor man had already been visited by the Phantom.

I really love this design, I don’t have a version of him with a cape and honestly I’m too lazy to add it lol anyway I hope you love this AU as much as me! I’ll be making many doodles and drawings of it, and possibly a fanfic on Wattpad if y’all want or if I get inspiration!
