no but like there's writers out there attending classes by garth greenwell ocean vuong brandon taylor etc meanwhile the intro to creative writing class i did in my first year was run by a guy who declared repetition 'lazy' and called one of the student's pieces perfect in workshop as if that's how you should run a workshop
#writing class i did in third year was GREATTT though so we move#didnt do a writing class in second year though because the first one was so bad LOL#my uni only offers writing at MA level so they blend a writing course into the english BA so i was like i guess this is all i got......#the first year workshop i was fighting for my life....i hate when it's structured very strictly into What Is Good About This Piece#and then Okay What Didn't We Like#rather than a fluid convo#and like there was never any discussion or teaching on how to actually actively critique and talk about a piece so none of it was productiv#my only thing i got to work with after was that i tense skipped LIKE!!! I WAS NOT FULFILLED#rip to yall but i dont categorise my stories into strictly what is good about it and what can be improved its soo much more blurred#but i'm still bitter like a class full of students and The Teacher all saying they have no suggestions to improve a story because#they think its perfect like thanks for setting a standard i guess!!#not trying to idolise like who knows what their classes are like...but im just like OOOH im so intrigued#the way they already talk about writing is so interesting to me

Reader gets attacked on the way home from work late at night.
content: f!reader, violence, possessiveness, murder, blood, after care, fingering, sweet talk, sex.
w/c: 2.2k
Ao3: Here
a/n: I have like 3 other fics im working on, one being where he helps you on your period but apparently thats too soft for my brain because it told me that I needed to write something where Sylus kills for you because I wanted to feel something. Please read the content descriptions, If you aren't comfortable with violence, you can skip to after the break.
It was late, work went longer than expected and you were exhausted. Usually, Sylus would pick you up when it was this late but he had what he called a "non negotiable meeting". He offered to have Luke or Kieran pick you up or order a ride but you refused, stubborn as ever. You were a capable hunter, and besides you've done this walk hundreds of times before. Though, even yet, if Sylus couldn't be there, he did everything in his power to make sure you were safe.
The sound of the mechanical bird's wings was loud in your ears as Mephisto landed on your shoulder, Its eyes shining in the dark, almost like Sylus' himself. "You were waiting." You mumbled as you turned the corner to set off on your journey. Mephisto just turned its head slightly, ruffling its feathers.
A few minutes passed and you heard footsteps behind you. Your shoulders tensed as you put a hand on your gun. You weren't sure what happened, it happened so fast as the steps grew louder, faster. More steps than you could count. An ambush. Your body moved on its own as you turned to try and shoot at one of the men, at any of them. Your gun going off as your body hit the ground. Mephisto flew at them, his razor sharp beak aiming at their eyes. While he did manage to harm one of the attackers, the other two were still surrounding you as the third slapped the crow away.
"What's a pretty little thing doing out this late." One of the men said, pulling a knife out as they watched you try to reach your gun that was just out of arm's reach. Before you could grab your backup plan, the smaller gun Sylus had given you for emergencies, the second man stepped on your hand, making you scream in pain as you were immobilized.
"Eat shit." You hissed, not giving up the fight as you squirmed under them, trying to throw them off of you as the one holding the knife straddled your hips. You spit at him, and in return, he grabbed your jaw. His other hand held the knife against your throat. You refused to show the fear in your eyes as you felt the steel kiss your skin.
"You're too pretty to be using words like that, princess." The man spit. You tried to throw him off of you but the knife pressed harder into your neck. "Keep going and you won't be saying anything soon."
"That fuckin bird got my eye boss! Can't see shit." The third man said, trying to cover his eye to stop the bleeding. The second man spoke up in a mocking tone. "Suck it up, you got another one don't ya? Anyways, ya won't need to see in order to hear the sounds she's gonna make when we-"
The alley filled with black and red smoke. Your heart raced as you heard the sound of Mephisto, and then- "You should know better than to touch what isn't yours." Sylus said calmly, appearing through the smoke as the red and black coils snaked around the men's necks, lifting them in the air. You couldn't move, your body felt paralyzed from the attack. You could only lay there as you watched Sylus approach as the men were raised higher and higher. He looked calm but there was an anger behind those eyes, a fury. Your heart raced, the sounds of the three men that attacked you background noise as your eyes locked with Sylus. Slowly he leaned down to help you up, his touch gentle yet you could feel how tense he was.
One by one the men fell from the sky, each tendril releasing them one by one. As each of the bodies fell from extreme heights, their cries were silenced on impact. Falling to their death efficiently. You didn't see the bodies, barely heard the sound, as Sylus pulled you into his chest, blinding you from the event. You could hear his heart racing, his lips against your ear to cover the sound behind you. "I'm sorry I took so long, sweetie." He said, his voice tense as he rubbed your back slowly as if checking for injuries. "Let's get you cleaned up." He muttered as the coils wrapped around the both of you. It felt surprisingly warm, like a warm gust of summer air. In moments it was as if you were flying, being guided across the city and through the N109 Zone back to his home.
▬ ♦ ▬ ♦ ▬ ♦ ▬
The night was a blur, you felt numb, mentally and physically. Sylus didn't say too much, there was a look in his eye that you have never seen before. His touches were soft as he helped bathe you, cleaning the grime and dirt off of you, paying extra attention to the areas that the men touched as if to replace the memory.
After you were clean, he helped change you. A fresh set of soft pajamas, your favorite cozy fluffy socks to add to it. Slowly, he lead you to the bed. The smell of him filling your senses as you laid down. The images of tonight filled your mind, the faces of the men. How fast everything happened. The feeling of that knife against your throat. Your heart started beating faster as your body tensed slightly.
Strong arms wrapped around you, settling behind you on the bed as he pulled you close against him. He tangled his legs with yours as his hands gently rubbed circles against your skin. His lips against your ear as his words cleared your mind like a prayer.
"It's ok. Nobody will ever touch you again, you're mine. And I'll make sure of that." He whispered, his words sincere as he kissed your ear. "I'll make you forget everything that happened today." He said as his hand dipped under the band of your pajama pants trailing the curve of your hip.
You felt your mind start to melt as you focused on his words, his touch. The smell of sandalwood and bourbon against your nose as the feeling of his hand made you shiver. You felt like you were in his embrace for hours as he whispered into your ear, his hand teasing and grazing your skin gently but with purpose.
His other hand moved under your shirt, trailing up until he reached your chest. Slowly, he rolled one of your nipples between his fingers. His lips moved to your neck, kissing the skin softly before nipping, leaving small red marks down to your shoulder. His hand dipped under the band of your underwear, pads of his fingers brushing against the wetness between your thighs. You gasped softly, a hand moving around to curl into his hair, pulling his lips closer into your skin where he purred in approval.
"That's it kitten, feel every bit of what I do to you." He whispered, voice hot from the feeling of your hand in his hair. "You're doing so well, I love how you shiver when I touch you like this." He said as a finger pushed inside you slowly. Your eyes rolled back as you arched against the hand, moving your hips slightly only for his legs to tighten more, still tangled in yours. "Shh, relax. Don't rush, just enjoy it sweetie."
You felt your body tingle at each touch, each word he spoke into your ear. Your moans became louder, a second finger, and then a third thrusting into you at a slow, deep pace. You gasped his name softly, feeling your core tighten as his thumb brushed against your clit. "That's it sweetie, say my name." His voice practically vibrated in his chest, the praise making you clench around the fingers, earning a soft sound of his own pleasure from him. You could feel how this was affecting him against your back. His pants tight from his cock straining the seam.
You couldn't take it anymore, the feeling of him overwhelmed you. Your body clenched around his hand harder, pulling him closer as his thumb pressed against your clit, the friction much needed as your body tensed, a soft cry of pleasure erupting from your throat as you arched back against his chest.
Gently he pulled his fingers from you and to his lips as he tasted you. A low sound rumbled in his throat at your taste. "You always taste incredible, kitten." He said, his hands wrapping around you again, pulling you close as he nuzzled into your neck.
Your heart pounded, body craving more. You figured he didn't want to push you, considering tonight's events, wanting to focus on what you needed. But what you needed was him. You moved a hand behind you, finding the bulge that had been growing against your back since his touches began. He inhaled a sharp breath, slightly tensing before a soft chuckle tickled your ear. "Are you sure you aren't too tired? Tonight is about you." He said but didn't pull your hand away as you palmed him through his pants making him groan. You turned your body, facing him as you kept one hand on him, feeling him twitch under your hand and the other curled in his hair again. Your lips brushed against his.
"The only thing I want tonight is you." You breathed against his lips before kissing him. In an instant his hands were on you again, his body over you as he returned the kiss. It was slow, passionate. Usually his kisses were rough, fast. But tonight was different. Tonight he could have lost you. And it would have been his fault. He felt emotions he had never felt before as he moved your hands gently away from him, holding your wrists loosely with one hand as he pulled your pants down with the other. You helped kick them off once they got low enough. Pulling back from the kiss as you looked up at him.
After a few more minutes, touches and kisses, his own pants were discarded. He moved your legs onto his shoulders as your body was pulled down the bed, closer to him as he teased your entrance with his cock. You both moaned, shivering at the feeling as you looked up at him. You didn't need to beg, not tonight. He needed it just as much as you.
You felt him enter you, inch by inch as he stretched you. You felt every nerve in your body shoot with that sweet feeling. The stretch of his cock made your mouth open in a needy cry. His eyes watching your face, your reaction to him. It never grew old, seeing you shake in pleasure before he even began. He turned his head, leaving kisses on your calf and knee as his grip tightened around your thighs.
As he began to move your eyes closed, consumed by the pleasure of him. "I wish I could stay like this forever." You moaned, not even thinking as you said it. You didn't care, he felt too good and honestly, your words held truth. He chuckled slightly, the sound strained as he groaned in pleasure as you clenched around him. You felt him twitch inside you at your words, his thrusts getting slightly rougher.
"Keep talking like that kitten and I just might." He said, his voice rough as he lifted your hips slightly, thrusting down into you deeper. You cried out, hands moving to claw the bedsheets. "Seeing you moan under me, all needy. So wet and desperate for me. All mine." He purred as his thrusts got more irregular. Your heart pounded as you heard his words, your mind racing with thoughts and imagery that nearly pushed you over the edge.
His hand moved between your thighs, brushing against your clit again as he kissed your leg again, looking down at you. A thin layer of sweat was on his forehead, his hair clinging to the area. His face was blushed, his eyes glossy and lips parted and swollen. You looked up at him, taking in the sight of him.
You felt him release deep inside you, the feeling sent you over the edge as he fucked you through both of your orgasms. The sound of heavy breath filled the room as he slowly pulled out, your legs feeling numb as he gently laid them down as he climbed back beside you, pulling you into his arms.
His kisses peppered your skin, his hands held you close as he felt you relax against his chest. After a while he would help clean you up again, but for now he wanted to cherish this time with you. There was no rush. And tomorrow? Tomorrow was reserved for him to pamper you no matter what you wanted. He felt guilty for letting what happened happen tonight. He would never tell you, he knew you would know from the extra displays of gifts and affection. But nonetheless, he vowed to never let anything like that happen ever again.
No matter what.

Gone soft
pairing: Wednesday Addams x Fem Reader!
summary: You thought getting Wednesday a stuffed bear was cute, but as she is, she doesn't quite like anything that imaged her that she was turning soft.
A/N: hello! it's been awhile, and this is quite awfully written, so I'm sorry ab that but I just got this motivation to writee, at lasttt
Warnings!: angsty..? hshshs it's fluff so u don't have to worry.. kinda
Masterlist
It wasn't anything big or anything small either, it was perfect. Well, you thought it was.
You knew it wasn't going to be easy having Wednesday accept the gift that you were going to give her, it was only a cute and fluffy bear.
No is the worst thing that she could say, right?
"I thought we weren't getting each other anything. We agreed to–"
"Y- yeah, but I saw this on my walk to Jericho so I thought you'd like it–"
"That looks sickening. It's soft and unwanted, you're keeping that."
I hummed with audible dismay on my posture, I held the bear close to my chest, I didn't know it was gonna be this bad. My heart is hammering inside my ribcage, like it was finding an escape, my hands are shaking, it was obvious I was in distress and was trying not to break.
But Wednesday doesn't know that, after spilling her opinion about the gift, she automatically goes back into writing her novel.
"O– okay. I'll be.. I'm going out."
I wasn't expecting anything from her really, but that hope in me shattered. Am I overreacting? Am I being too much? I mean it is only our first monthsary, so I guess I am.
I waited for a response from her, but all I got was an unbothered hum.
"Wednesday– Hi, Y/N! Happy Monthsary to you both!"
I didn't think it'd be relieving to hear someone else being in the room.
"Thank you, Enid."
I sighed heavily and made my way towards the werewolf, my hands shook as I lightly shoved the bear in her arms. I just know that she can take care of this baby with love.
If Wednesday doesn't want it, then the bear can keep her company from Enid's side of the bed.
"For me?! Awh! Thank you Y/N/N!"
"I'll be heading out now."
...
Enid skips her way to her bed, setting the bear gently aside with the rest of her stuffed toys.
"Hey Wednesday?"
"What."
"Did she get you anything as a present? Or did you get her something?"
Enid stood waiting for Wednesday to face her, she knew the bear was originally for Wednesday, she heard everything before she got in.
"She got me that wretched bear. You all know how I'd rather stain my blood on my hands rather than accept something like that."
Enid knew how harsh Wednesday gets, the way you handed her the bear, the way you walked out, and the sickening atmosphere in the room. She almost gagged.
"Honestly, it's your loss, Wednesday."
Wednesday knew she should've at least accepted your gift with remorse but, you both agreed not to get each other anything anyways, so why are you upset about something you agreed on?
And she doesn't get why her chest was feeling jittery all of a sudden.
She huffed, suddenly feeling tense as her fingers shook with each time she pressed on her typewriters keys.
Oh how fast her emotions work up.
★
Archery was something, Xavier's yapping kinda helped? It did get your mind off Wednesday. All week you tried going back to the way it was, but Wednesday was making it pretty hard. She was kind of losing contact with you, and you didn't know what to do.
Maybe she grew tired of you about the bear gift thing. She didn't accept it anyways, so why then did she have the energy to start pushing you away?
"What's with your aim today, you seem off."
"Might wanna talk about yours."
I chuckled unashamed, as I took another arrow and adjusted it on my bow.
"Yeah yeah laugh it up- but seriously, what's up?"
"I don't really wanna talk about it, Xavier."
I let go of the bow after making sure I sighted it right, it shoots through the bullseye.
He clears his throat as he took his shot.
"If you say so."
...
The next day was no better, Enid barges right into my room, announcing to literally almost everyone in Nevermore how the bear I gave her was missing.
"What? Are you sure? Maybe it's at the bottom of your bed–"
She fumed as she grabbed my wrist, practically dragging me into her shared room.
"It's not anywhere, it was with me last night! I swear!"
She was absolutely livid.
I reassured her that it was okay, that I could just buy her a new one that suited her better.
She pouts, "But I liked that cute little one.."
I sighed and agreed to find it with her, but if we couldn't then I'm getting her a new one.
We checked her drawer, under her bed, ruffling her closet, inside the bathroom and even on the balcony, still no sign of that bear anywhere.
"Wait! I think– I might have left it with Yoko! She did want to see the bear actually- I'll be right back!"
She hurried off the room, while I sat on the wooden floor.
After a few moments of resting, I took my time glancing around their room. Enid's side of the bed, and then Wednesday's. I stood up and began walking towards Wednesday's side of the room. I've always admired how clean she is.
How her drawers were filled with her collections of her favourite knives.
I sighed tiredly, she wouldn't mind me napping on her bed does she?
Plopping my body with full force on her soft mattress. I can't believe how soft her bed actually is, it was almost flawless, the only thing that wasn't making everything seem comfortable was the thing that was covered on her soft pillow.
I grumbled as I practically grabbed her only cushion, accidentally making the object on the soft cushion fall off her bed.
Shoot, what is that–
My eyebrows knitting together as I tried connecting everything.
Why's the bear hidden on Wednesday's—
Oh.
Oh!
OH.
My heart started rattling like crazy.
Wednesday took the bear.
I grabbed the bear and placed everything back to the way it was. After I finished, I ran to my heart's desire, passing through every corridor, through every room where Wednesday wasn't.
I wanted to see Wednesday.
It was raining like cats and dogs out there, and I knew Wednesday was in that rain. If I don't find my girlfriend now, then I'm going to spiral everywhere. So, I didn't stop running.
My vision, my pulse rate, my stamina, my breathing, it was all going into a frenzy.
"Wednesday!"
I spotted Wednesday just a few steps away, she looks at me like I was crazy, I knew she was going to mother me about being in the rain, but I didn't care. I was practically sprinting towards her.
I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know what I'm feeling, everything felt messy, how my emotions were all over the place, how sticky I felt, how I was heaving right infront of her.
"Y/N, what are you doing out here? How senseless of you to not bring an umbrella with you—"
"I don't care." I shook from the cold, but I truly didn't care, Wednesday was here, and so was I.
Her ghouly ambiance, her dry braids, everything about her is perfect.
Smiling lightheartedly at her while I took a hold of her defined cheek, whilst the other is on her waist.
Suddenly, I felt droplets prickling on me, raindrops falling at every aspect of her being, her now wet hands right on my nape, the umbrella long forgotten, we held eye contact for as long as I can remember, while our kiss felt like a millisecond.
It's perfect.
She's perfect.
______+______
*/you get sick the next day
Y: you're going soft on me, aren't you–
W: speak of it and I'm leaving you here unattended.
A/N: lmao idk wtf happened, i actually hate this 😔

I dont know if you write for the Omegaverse..
Because how about a Bully (Alpha) x Nerd Male Reader (Omega) like the two of them dont get the Second Gender until now.. So basically the Bully realise that the Reader is his Fated Mate and dosent want anybody near him, only HIS.. But is really dificult for the Reader to not only Trust him but is also really scared of him..
So Reader first heat is a mess (Like the Bully is constally pound him with meaty d*ck) and the Bully is constally tell him sweet and suductive things to try to calm him down, even tho the Reader is crying because he still scared..
Finally ending with the Reader even more sacred knowing that the Alpha has mated him and posibly '´mark´´ him?
Well, I never have before, but I'll try! Apologies in advance for any mistakes
Yandere Bully Alpha x Nerd Omega Reader
M yan x M reader
TW - Possessiveness, jealousy, implied bullying, NSFW, dubcon
Somehow, since your bully realized you were his fated mate, life only got more difficult. At least you could have friends before! Now he occupied all your attention. If someone made eye contact with you for too long, he considered them a threat.
Honestly, you almost preferred how he acted in the past. Back when he would mock every little thing you did and make your life as hard as he could on purpose. Back when he made you do his homework and beat you up if you refused.
Now, he had you tutor him. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't make you sit on his lap, or if he actually paid attention. He just sat there watching you work and listening to you teach him. He would hurt his face in your neck and breath in your scent, letting his voice fill your ears.
No wonder he always got so jealous when you used to have friends. It was your fault he felt that way, or so he thought. But once he realized you were meant to be his, he realized it was everyone else's fault! They shouldn't be near what's his.
He completely monopolized your time. Whenever you weren't at home, he was making you hang out with him. He'd try to spoil you with things to make up for how he treated you in the past, but that didn't fix it.
He hurt you. He made your life miserable, and he knew he was doing it the whole time. The damage he caused couldn't be fixed by some nice words or gifts.
He just didn't get it. No matter how hard he tried, you always recoiled from his touch. You always got tense when he held you. You never seemed to believe him when he showered you with praises. You didn't like his gifts. What was he doing wrong?
Maybe you liked it better when he was bullying you? So he tried it. He tried being mean to you again. But that only seemed to make it worse! He didn't get it. Why wouldn't you love him?! You were supposed to! He was your fated mate, so you had to love him!
He could only think of one more way to earn your love.
You didn't show up to school one day, which worried him. So of course, like a good mate, he skipped school after the first hour and promptly made his way to your house. He knew where you hid the so are key, so he just let himself in.
And there was a glorious sight awaiting him once he reached your room. There you were, face buried in your pillow, ass up as you stroked your aching cock. Your scent was absolutely overwhelming, and the sight immediately made him hard. You were already in the perfect position for him.
He quietly walked around you, adjusting his pants to let his meaty cock spring free. He'd help you...prove you needed him. Like a good mate.
"You need help there, my mate?" He carefully got behind you, using one hand to spread your ass and the other to line himself up with your needy hole.
You gasped at his raspy voice against your ear. There he was. The last man you wanted to see right now. He'd surely take advantage of your pathetic state.
But at the same time, just one look at his massive cock distracted you, your mind clouded by thought of being fucked.
He didn't let you answer before slowly pushing into you. He had to take it slow, filling you up inch by inch. He didn't want to hurt you. Not yet.
"Shhhh, that's it, you're doing so good." He cooed in your ear as you whined.
Once he thought you were ready, he slowly thrust into you...but it wasn't long before he lost control. How could he not? You felt so good all warm and tight around his thick cock. He was entirely unable to resist the incredible feeling.
He was relentless, stretching you to fit his huge cock without much care for your comfort. Even when tears began to stream down your face, he didn't slow down. He just kissed them away as he continued his harsh thrusts.
You were just crying because you weren't used to feeling this good. Right? That had to be it.
"It'll be okay, you're taking me so well." He hushed you, his breath hot against your skin as he trailed kisses across your jaw.
Your choked moans only enticed him further. He could already feel himself needing to cum. He's never felt such amazing pleasure before. No wonder you were his.
His kisses trailed lower and lower, down your neck, turning harsher. Turning to sucking and gentle nibbling, until he was biting you. He had to mark you of course, and in the most obvious places he could too. You were his. Everyone had to know.
He made sure you were the first to cum, which wasn't hard. Your heat had made you more sensitive. He was enjoying every bit of that. And you deserved to be the one feeling all the pleasure right now.
As you own cum covered your stomach, chest, and the sheets beneath you he couldn't help but praise you more. "What a good boy...I knew you enjoyed this as much as I did. Don't worry, you have your whole heat cycle to get used to me."
He wasn't going to let you feel needy for even a second. He was going to fuck you hard day and night, filling you with his cum, until your heat was over. He was just such a good mate like that.
Again, apologies for any mistakes!

how about a reader who's been feeling pretty overworked recently?and just needs to rest but is to stubborn to Al does something about it?
Now it's Alastor's turn to pamper~
Alastor X Reader Headcanons
✅️Romantic
❌️Platonic
TW: None I think??
Description: ☝️⬆️
You've been going nonstop all week and it's been taking it's toll on you physically and mentally
There's so much that needs done and you're only one person, you don't have time to sit and relax
Which means you're unintentionally taking time with you away from Alastor
Not his ears drooping and folding back when he realizes you're going to turn him down
"I'm so sorry, Alastor, I'm just too tired to go out and I really need to finish this."
"Y/N, it's our date night and I insist that you-"
"I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you later, I promise."
But you pass out and Alastor has to carry you to bed, hating that you're so overworked right now, that you have no time to spare for him
Which in his deer brain, means that you're neglecting him because you're so fried from work
And that means he's gotta fix this
But you're stubbon and won't relax willingly so he's got to get creative
"Darling, won't you take this bubble bath with me? I need help getting my back~"
🥵🥵 s-sure
He takes special care to massage and scrub every part of you until you're a gooey mess in his hands
Despite his claws, he can be surprisingly gentle, it's rather soothing to feel them ghosting over your skin
It's not until later when your back is against his chest and he's kissing your shoulder that you realize he's been spoiling you the entire time
Literally carries you to bed bridal style and dries your body with a loving reverence that makes you blush
"Alastor, I can do this myself-"
"Hush now, let me do this for you..."
Rubs fancy lotions and creams into your skin, massaging until you inevitably fall asleep under his care
Nobody is allowed to wake you or bother you at all for the time being, he'll make sure of it
He finds excuses to interrupt you during your work, forcing you to take breaks
"Darling, I accidentally made too much jambalaya! So I thought I might bring you some as I am quite sure you haven't eaten today~"
"Alastor, I don't have time to-that smells really good..."
It's so good you could cry, devouring the entire thing while he stays and has lunch with you, turning it into a mini date
You didn't even realize how tense were before Alastor showed up, feeling full and relaxed after he gives you a parting kiss
You really don't want him to go, watching him leave with a longing expression
Not him purposefully stealing something you need so that you have no choice but to seek him out
"Have you seen my folder? I can't get back to work without it!"
"Hm? I can't say that I have, but have you seen what a beautiful day it is outside? Why not just skip work today, and we'll take a stroll through Cannibal Town?"
Won't take no for an answer, already looping his arm with yours and marching you outside
It is actually a beautiful day outside
Takes you to all your old haunts and spends all day buying anything you even look at
It feels good to catch up with Rosie and some of your old friends, not having realized how long it's been since you've seen them
He also takes you out dancing, which leaves you tired and sore, but in the best way possible, he was always exciting to dance with
Will carry you home if he has to, will actually find an excuse to do so
"Do your feet hurt? Here, let me carry you~"
You pass out before he puts the blanket over you, soothed by his scent on your pillow
It's not until later when you wake up to him putting your folder back in your bag that you realize what he's been up to
"Alastor..?"
Oh fuck he's been caught
"Darling! I was just-cleaning off your bag and-"
"...just shut up and come back to bed..."
Literally climbs right on top of you and flops on you like he's your own personal weighted blanket
Kissing your neck and shoulders before whispering into your ear with a slightly guilty voice
"Are you angry with me?"
"Mm...not if you keep giving me attention like this..."
Well, he wouldn't want his darling Y/N to start getting angry with him now, would he?
The next day you feel more renewed and refreshed than you have in weeks, waking up tangled in Alastor's arms
You chuckle softly and push some of his hair out of his (totally not pretending) sleeping face, admiring his handsome features
He's a sneaky man who tricks you into relaxing and taking time for yourself because he loves you
And you love him all the more for it
This one was too cute! I hope you like it

“I want you to have this.”
“Will —”
“Nico,” Will interrupts, voice stern, “take it.”
He fiddles with the clasp of his watch, sliding it off and holding it between them. The Celestial bronze frame has long since worn smooth, leather straps molded to the shape of Will’s wrist after years and years of use. He can even see the indent on the side of the bottom strap, where the Ace bandage Will often fidgets with has worn a groove.
“Please.”
Nico glances up to meet Will’s wide, pleading blue eyes. They’re darker, in the setting sun; almost midnight blue. Like the Raleigh reflection that colours the sky happens somehow in the tiny rings of his irises, too.
He sighs, holding out his wrist. Will’s expression melts into something almost relieved, corners of his lips turned up in a grateful smile. He wraps his warm hands around Nico’s forearm and fingertips, flipping over his arm, and presses the cool watch face the the middle of his wrist, buckling up the straps. Nico’s wrists are thinner than Will’s, and the worn-wide hole third down from the tip of the strap is skipped for the long-forgotten fifth. The watch fits comfortably and snugly, light enough that Nico almost — almost — forgets it’s there.
“It’s nothing like Percy’s,” he says quietly. His hands linger on the skin of Nico’s forearm, blunt fingernails picking at the watch’s grooves. “It can’t protect you. It doesn’t have a shield or a sword or anything like that. It’s just a watch.”
Nico hums. Gently, careful not to shrug off Will’s hands, he brings the watch closer to his face, inspecting it. There are nicks and chips, as expected for a watch Will has worn longer than Nico has known him, but there’s not a flaw in sight. It even ticks, pleasantly, a sound almost musical.
“Beckendorf?”
A tiny, punched-out sigh slumps from Will’s mouth.
“Yeah.”
“I can tell.” He taps his thumb on the face. “He did good work.”
“He gave it to me when I was eight,” Will says softly. “I used to — freak out, a lot. My anxiety was a lot worse as a kid. I’d panic if someone was late to breakfast, if I woke up late and no one was in the cabin. I didn’t like not knowing when things were supposed to happen.” Will’s lips quirk up. “Set it on the table when he walked by me one day. Didn’t say a word, just mussed my hair and smiled at me like he didn’t just fix my shit better than Xanax ever could.” His smile turned wry. “I had the hugest crush on him for years.”
It startles a laugh out of Nico, the admission, imagining Will’s motormouth trailing after Beckendorf, his bemused indulgence.
“There’s no way he didn’t know, either. I am not a subtle person.”
His shoulders shake. Gods, what a sight. He’s almost sad he missed it — he’ll have to ask Clarisse or Annabeth about it. Hell, maybe even Chiron. Will even looks like he’ll allow him, wide grin on his face, red as his ears may be.
“Not a bad choice,” Nico agrees, calming down a little. The watch feels heavier, now, knowing the significance, and he looks at it, lips pursing. “You sure you want me to take it?”
Will’s hand drags down his his arm until it rests in the palm of his hands for one, two, three seconds; glancing up at Nico, glancing down, nodding to himself. He twists their fingers together, squeezing. Nico’s breath hitches.
“You know how my energy kinda — goes everywhere?”
Nico nods. Will has more healing ability than pretty much anyone the camp has seen — and the more power, the harder it is to control. He’s got a pretty good handle on it, but if you stand near enough to him while he’s healing it’s impossible not to feel the affects; the ease to your joints, soothing of your tense muscles, pleasant warmth over your skin. Nico has been healed of scrapes and bruises just by virtue of one of Will’s beaming smiles, he’s gotten so good. Nico only wishes it didn’t drain him.
“I’ve been wearing that watch over seven years,” Will says. His fingers twitch. “The bronze is magic, of course, but that leather — that leather was living, once. Beckendorf made the whole thing with his bare hands ‘cause he saw me struggling. As far as ordinary objects go —” Will shrugs helplessly. “Might as we’ll be a sponge. It’s been absorbing my magic nonstop for nearly a decade. It’s as connected to me as my eyes, my hair.”
Almost absentmindedly, his free hand reaches out for Nico’s. He curls their fingers together, meeting them in the middle, and squeezes, hard enough to ground. Will blinks back into focus.
“I can feel you wearing it,” he whispers. “Your — heartbeat, vitals. Your life force.” He brings their clasped hands close to his chest, tapping right above his heart. “Here. I can feel you.”
Nico holds his breath. “Not just ‘cause you’re close to me?”
“No. I’ve never felt it like this before. Started the second you put on that watch. Focus for a second, can you feel it?”
Closing his eyes, he tries — imagining the click of the watch, gentle and soft, and the rise and swell of Will’s breathing. It’s in his hands, at first, every place they’re clutching Will’s, but in a second he can almost feel it pound — the ka-thump, ka-thump, ka-thump of Will’s heart, right next to his. The knot of anxiety in his stomach that isn’t his. The worry, golden and protective, spilling over him in waves.
“An empathy link,” Nico breathes. He stares at Will in pure awe. “You — you made an empathy link.”
That kind of life-force magic…you have to be deeply connected to the core of basically everything to access it. Satyrs have it easy, being nature spirits. Gods spend so long grappling with time that they can manage, too.
But mortals? Even half-divine ones?
Nico has spent a lot of time with the mythical, alive and dead. He’s met theoi from pantheons forgotten to every living soul, foreign to even most of the dead. He knows his history twice over and backwards.
He’s never heard of that before.
“Holy shit, Will.”
“Just — come back to me,” Will says. He tugs on Nico’s arms and faces him head-on, eyes now almost black that the sun has set down. “Promise me, Nico. Stay safe. Stay outta trouble as much as you can. Keep your head on straight. And —” He squeezes their hands together, to hide the tremble in his fingers. “I mean it, okay? Come back to me.”
Slowly, giving him time to pull away, Nico frees his hands, sliding them up to cup Will’s face. He pulls him down, standing on his tiptoes to meet him halfway, and lingers, breath mixing, warm, in the millimeters of space between them.
“I promise,” he whispers. “I swear it, Will, I’ll come back to you. I swear it on the Styx.”
Thunder rumbles above them.
“Good.”
Will closes the tiny stretch of space separating them, and their hearts beat in tapping harmony.

try again?
would anyone be interested in this, i thought of this plot awhile back and started working on it recently but i feel like its just gotten long and idk i feel like it might be a bit boring? so idk if anyone would be up for reading this! but i put a little snippet of it here so if anyone sees this please share your thoughts! :)
18+ minors dni
warnings: none for this one yet.
summary: you and harry dated for almost 5 years but you ended things, only problem? you got a cat together three years ago that you co-parent.
wc: 1.8k
I glanced around in search for opal as I tied the laces on my shoes. She’s always been good at hiding when she sees her crate out and ready for her, but i was ready for her today with her favorite treat in hand. "Opal, where are you baby?” I called for her. pacing through the living room I heard a faint meow coming from the kitchen, and i sighed, already knowing where she would be - the narrow gap between the counter and the fridge. I bend down and waved her treat in front of her little face to get her interested in it. “Come on out sweetie,” i coaxed, slowly her fluffy face popped out of the gap and she began licking the treat. I took this as my opportunity and gently tugged her out and scooped her up, letting her have the entire treat now as I walked over to her crate.
As I helped opal get settles into her crate I tried not to think too much about the trip ahead and what’s to come. The keys jingled in my hands as i snatched them from there small side table near the front door creating a slight sound of normalcy between all of the craziness my life has been lately. I slung my headphones around my neck, and with opal securely inside her carrier i finally stepped out into the bright, sunlit street. I caught my reflection in a car window and felt a bit ridiculous - sunglasses on, headphones dangling, and cat in tow - i shrugged it off and began my journey to the subway station.
The subway ride was pretty uneventful, at least it was at first. Opal was sitting quietly in her crate beside me as she watched the window in front of us, watching the city blur through the window. I put my headphones on and mindlessly browsed through Apple Music, i eventually decided on just playing “my station” after not being able to settle on any of my existing playlists. I wasn’t thinking of anything in particular really, i mean besides the fact that I was currently on my way to meet my ex boyfriend of 4 1/2 years. As if my phone knew what was on my mind a familiar melody began playing, i felt my body tense as i recognized it immediately, my chest tightened and the air suddenly became too thick to breathe. I reached for my phone to skip to the next song. It was his song, of course it’d be my luck that’s the song that starts playing as I’m on my way to see him again. Of course, skipping it didn’t help, the damage was done.
Moving on has been hard, actually it’s been more than hard, it’s been hell, absolutely brutal. We were together for so long, four and a half years. That’s a long time to share a life with someone, it wasn’t just the memories that lingered though - it was our plans, the dreams we shared that we’d stay up all night talking about, when the world felt ours. Marriage, kids, a beautiful house with a garden, i thought it was all within reach, that it was just a matter of time. But now? Just the sound of his voice in a song sends me spiraling. It’s only been a couple months since we broke up, and seeing him as often as I do doesn’t exactly help with the whole “moving on” thing.
But now, all we have left is opal.
Opal. Our little baby. She wasn’t quite a child, but the closest thing we had. We adopted her when she was just a baby, three months old. After we broke up neither of us could bear to part with her. we had gotten her together so in the end we decided on co-parenting opal, which isn’t ideal but at the very least she had two people who loved her, and despite our failed relationship i knew she was safe with him. Even if seeing him every time i dropped her off still hurt.
The familiar ding of the subway pulled me out of my thoughts and i realized we were at our stop. I pulled my headphones back down to the back of my neck as i stood up, then grabbed opals crate and hopped off the subway. I felt like the subway ride ended far too quickly, and before i realized it i was walking up the now somewhat familiar street towards his apartment. as i got closer and closer each step i took felt heavier than the last. It felt like i was dragging the weight of everything we left unsaid, unresolved. I tightened my grip on opals crate, her quiet purring served as a reminder that despite everything, some things hadn’t changed.
But most things had.
I wasn’t the same person who used to walk the streets of New York with him by my side, laughing at the stupidest things, talking absentmindedly about everything, and nothing at all. Yet now it feels like that was a lifetime ago when in reality it was just a few short months ago. And now here i was, walking the streets of the city we once shared, alone. Having to act normal in front of the man i loved, love but trying not to as I’m about to hand over our cat like it was just some business transaction, something normal.
Ahead i spotted him standing in front of his building. He was leaning against the wall near the doors to the lobby, looking down at his phone, a casual stance that didn’t betray any of the turmoil i was feeling. Typical harry, i thought. Always composed, always calm. I wished i could say the same for myself. I reached up with my free hand to adjust my sunglasses, hoping they hid more than just the sun from my eyes. As i approached his eyes were still glues to his phone, did he even notice i was walking up to him? Now a few feet away from him, i clear my throat in hopes of catching his attention, hoping to get this over with as soon as possible.
He finally looks up, his green eyes meeting mine, and though he couldn’t see mine due to my sunglasses i swore i could see something flash in his - recognition? Annoyance? Regret? I couldn’t quite place it. Maybe I’m just imagining things. “Hey,” he said, finally pushing off the wall and sliding his hands into the pockets of his jeans. “Hey,” i replied, keeping my voice as steady as i could even though every bit of me felt like breaking and like my voice was shaking with the tension of being this close to him. We walk into the lobby and i crouch down to let opal out. Immediately, she dashed out of her crate, and toward him, brushing against him with a happy meow. I couldn’t help the slight pang of jealousy i felt at how easily she seemed to adjust to this life of back and forth we’d created for her. I wish it was that easy for me.
“It’s been a while, nice shoes by the way.” Harry said as he crouched down, scratching opal behind her ears. He didn’t look at me when. He said it, instead keeping his eyes on opal. I couldn’t tell if it was a statement or a subtle dig when he said it’s been a while. “Yeah works been a bit hectic, and thanks.” I responded as i stood there awkwardly and hugged my arms to myself. Suddenly the distance between us felt a lot larger than just a few feet.
He stood up slowly, his gaze finally meeting mine, and i just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. “How’ve you been?” He asked, for a moment i almost believed he actually wanted to know.
Good. You?”
“Same.” he said, glancing down at opal again.
The conversation stalled, i could feel the silence expanding between us, this is all we had now — awkward exchanges, empty words just to fill the space where something real used to be. I wanted so badly just to say something, anything that could break through the surface. I didn’t even know where to start, everything felt too different, too fragile and close to breaking. Opal meowed again, winding between our legs, completely oblivious to the tension hanging in the air between us.
I sighed, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear. “She’s been eating normally. Likes to hide under the bed more often lately but that’s probably because of all the travel recently.” Harrys eyes softened a little. “Yeah, she’s always liked her hiding spots huh.” He paused, then added, “I’ve missed her.” His words hung there, suspended in the air between us for a while and for a moment, I wasn’t sure if he was just talking about opal. I nodded at his words, something about the way he said it lingered longer than it should have, i tried to push it aside, maybe I’m just reading too much into his words. Looking down at opal again i sighed, “i’ll uh, see you later.” I mumbled, now just wanting to get out and as far away from this awkward situation as possible. I turned to walk away before he could say anything, i felt his eyes on me as i made my way towards the lobby door. His gaze was sticking with me more than i wanted it to.
As i exited the building, i felt my footsteps heavy on the ground again. I took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air and trying to clear my head. I couldn’t stop thinking about all the what-ifs. How i wish i could be done with all this. I couldn’t afford to keep dwelling on our past, especially not with everything going on. At least through all this change i still had my job, and im fortunate enough to really love my job. My job has always been my escape, allowing be to take a break from my real life and everything i had going on. I could create stories outside my own, i could be in control, or at the very least, i could pretend to be. But in moments like this, i was just me - and I couldn’t pretend to be anyone else. I had no script or direction, and I didn’t know how to fix it.
The months after the breakup have been such a blur, it’s like I’ve been moving on autopilot. Filming, press events, and trying to keep it together in front of the cameras. I was good at that. I’ve played so many different roles, performed rehearsed lines perfectly, but none of that could’ve prepared me for the messy reality of seeing him. Missing him.

🤸🏼♂️ CONFESSION
synopsis. james gets jealous when you tell him a story about your first kiss.
notes. james potter x reader. (former) remus lupin x reader. mentions of underage alcohol consumption
“wait, y/n. you’ve never told us who were your first kiss?” dorcas frowned, earning you a frew curious glances from people present in the room, james included. “drink up and speak the truth.” sirius words were accompanied by a chuckle as he handed you the small bottle.
“we have to specify the question though.” marlene added, throwing an arm around her girlfriend’s shoulder. “first kiss as in a full makeout session, right?” the girls nodded in agreement, watching carefully as you took a sip of veritaserum. “tell us the story, ravenclaw.”
you could feel james staring at you, his curiosity intensifying each second, when you gave yourself some time to think of an answer. catching you crack a soft smile, sent him a painful jolt. things got only worse when you finally replied.
“a story?” you chuckled. “m’kay, it happened at the end of year four when you were involved in throwing a party, remember? well, remus bumped into me, spilling all his drink on my shirt and refused to let me go until i agreed on getting one of his. we went upstairs and it happened.” you shrugged as if it was nothing, but you smiled beforehand so it definitely meant something, didn’t it?
“MOONY?” sirius shouted in surprise, shifting his gaze to the mentioned boy, his mimic changing almost immediately. “wait it was you? no wonder why there were so much tension between you the next year.” his slurred words made the werewolf blush lightly, but he laughed it off quickly.
“well, there’s a story behind it too.”
“y/n, sweetheart, care to elaborate?” dorcas smiled at you sweetly, mischief flickering in her eyes, revealing her investment in the secret story behind your relations with remus.
“we were dating.” you confessed your little secret, probably too drunk to feel how your boyfriend tensed up upon hearing your words. “not long though, till late january, then we were just hooking up once in a while.”
“you were dating ravenclaw, and you didn’t tell any of us?” mckinnon looked at the blonde boy with a faked upset, shaking her head in disappointment. “i mean… to defend remus, he actually told me.” lily sent him a smile, averting her eyes to james for a millisecond only to catch him looking all unfazed.
“we wanted to keep it on the low in case it didn’t work out.” remus shrugged, taking a sip of his beer, involuntarily noticing how potter dropped his arm from your shoulder. “then she dropped me for james.”
“potter one, lupin zero?” peter chimed in, snaping the beverage from his friend’s hand, taking a turn in drinking. “geez ravenclaw, you really went for your ex’s best friend.”
“you act like you weren’t the one who decided to stop, ‘cos you wanted to make a move on sirus.” you wiggled your eyebrows, arms crossed at chest. “not that i don’t wanted to, you were just quicker.”
the conversation died down quickly after you were forced to spill all the secrets about your past relationship, someone quickly changed the topic to something more interesting that you weren’t a part of. at first, you didn’t even notice the change in james’ behavior, but then when you were falling asleep next to him, and he turned his back on you, you realized somethung was bothering him.
james avoided you almost all week, always finding excuses to bail on your suggestions to hangout or canceling them last second, having you wonder what was going on. he even skipped some of the classes you’ve had with him, while sirius was trying his hardest to convince you that nothing was wrong.
to be honest, you were stressing out, vivid images of your break-up flashed through your mind every time that your mind wasn’t occupied. so, after lots of consideration, you decided to bury yourself in studying for newts, while waiting for the boy to come and talk to you.
“merlin, prongs. what’s wrong with you and ravenclaw, have you fought or something? you’re sulking and she doesn’t even come here nowadays.” sirius rambled, taking a seat next to james on his bed, and frown when the boy doesn’t reply. “mate, i’m for real worried, so is your girlfriend. talk to me.”
“i just… can’t stop imagining her and moony together. whenever i look at her, the image of him is somewhere in the back of my mind. it bothers me so much, i can’t think straight.” he sighed. “i can’t stop thinking about the what if’s. i can see her breaking up with me to get back with remus.”
mentioned boy just walked out of the bathroom quietly, taking in the entirety of the conversation and let out a laugh, catching his friends’ attention almost immediately. “she indeed may break up with you, not for me though, but because you keep avoiding her like fire.” lupin plopped onto his bed.
“listen, you’d do the same–” james’ words were cut off.
“sirius didn’t, and he’s in the same position as you are.” he shrugged. “my point is, she wouldn’t break up with you to get back with me, because she loves you so much ever since you started hanging out, she told me she loves you after your second date, she always wakes up at four to watch your quidditch’s practice and you think she would choose me over you? buy yourself new glasses.”
“and, the reason we broke up was that we realized we were just horny teenagers that could fulfill each other’s needs, that we weren’t in love.” remus scoffed, ruffling his hair. “and you know what? i decided to stop hooking up with her, because i wanted her to finally make a move on you, merlin, prongs all she ever talked about, since your first tutoring, was you.”
when james stood up so suddenly, lupin knew he succeeded on knocking some sense into the seeker’s mind. “she’s at the library.” werewolf murmured as the seeker was on his way to leave the dorm.
you were burying yourself in tons of books, trying to get in as many informations as possible, occupying your brain with anything that wasn’t james potter. speaking of the devil, you didn’t even realize when he sat beside you with a scowl on his face.
“love,” you jumped at the sound of his words, eyebrows knitted together. “can we… talk?” james spoke, embarrassment ringing in his tone as he couldn’t bring his eyes to look into yours. he would be a fool if he expected you to fall into his arms, apologizing for nit telling him earlier — all in the most dramatic manner you could only pull out.
when you didn’t reply nor move, his shoulder sulked, eyebrows knitted together as he still waited for an answer. it took him more than five minutes to realize you weren’t going to continue the conversation, making him the one to talk. “i get that your upset, i do, you have every right to be upset with me and my behavior towards you. i was jealous, i’d never known you were together and it got to my head and i couldn’t think straight. i’m sorry, really.”
“james.” a sigh escaped from between your lips as you finally looked at him. “it was something completely different with remus, i thought i liked him, but with you — i’m certain i love you.” a smile lit up his face upoin hearing your words — it was the first time you were the one dropping the L bomb, not him.
“so… are we fine?”
“we are, if you won’t pull out something like that again.”

You Are My Honey
*TW* Yandere, obsessive tones, mates, Bear hybrid, NOT PROOFREAD (Tell me if you notice anymore)
THIS IS MY FIRST STORY I HAVE EVER WRITTEN SO IGNORE ANY MISTAKES, I AM STILL TRYING TO FIND MY PERFERED WRITING STYLE!
TELL ME IF YOU WANT A SMUT PART 2!!
*One part of my story is inspired by a scene in another story I read, don't remember the author*
*Not My Picture*
What had the world become? You sit alone on your couch in a small little apartment you could barely afford, for what? To get up in the morning go to your job at the floral shop and make a couple bucks a day?? All alone because you don't have time to invest in a romance that would probably end after a month, because who would want to be with a 'workaholic' who only has time to stay at their job. All your friends got some husband or boyfriend or...... mate.
The subject of 'mates' confused you, hybrids are just now being accepted into society and now are 'mating' on people. With how many hybrids are finding their mates the government is passing a law allowing them to be with said mates. The thought scared you, maybe because you didn't know enough about it. Imagine going about your normal day and some random person, with ears or a tail, starts talking about how you are destined to be together. Scary, or romantic??
Finally getting out of your daydreaming you look at the clock and realize you are gonna be late for work if you don't leave this second. Running out the door, almost forgetting your bag, you rush downstairs and run down the street. You lived pretty close to the floral shop so it was easy for you to get there fast. Barley making it on time your boss gives you a long list of orders you have to prepare. Your day has officially started..
*Time skip*
After work you make it back to the apartment, dropping your keys in your tray and making a bee line to the couch. Your phone rings and you realize your best friend was asking if you were free. Once you text them you are you start getting ready. They didn't give you a lot of details but told you to dress casual.
They text you to meet them outside your apartment in 30 min and they were gonna pick you up. Getting ready you finally make it down the stairs and wait outside for her. Seeing her car pull up and her getting out you both greet each other. "You are gonna love it" she said, "I got invited to some party on the nice side of town, supposedly there is going to be a lot of nice, respectable men there!!!" Winking at you she started the car and started driving. "You know I am not looking for anyone right now, no one is gonna wanna be with me when I can barely go out. I mean I got lucky today and my boss let me off early!" "You might find someone who doesn't mind.... Or someone who makes some money, so you don't have to work as much." Both of you start laughing.
Finally making it to the house you guys pull into the drive way and a bunch of people walking around, inside and outside. "Is the house made of just glass" you question. "I guess it is the new thing with rich people, let everyone see your business" You both get out of the car, after parking it, and walk toward the entrance. Suddenly the both of you tense, realizing there weren't just humans at this party. Now you both don't have a problem with hybrids going into public places or having the same rights you have, but never being near one before and seeing their sharp teeth or ears freaked you both out.
You were the first one to relax a little, realizing they were just there to have fun, like everyone else. "I didn't know they were gonna be here sorry" your friend apologized. "It's OK, they are here just like us, no problems." You both walk in together and browse around to see who and what exactly was here.
A loud booming voice can be heard across the room. Everyone's heads turn towards the owner of the voice. You freeze in fear, or maybe just shock, you aren't quite sure. But you know for sure that the owner of that voice is not someone you want to cross paths with ever again.
He was ginormous with arms that could pick you up and throw you a mile away.... maybe even more than that. His shaggy honey brown hair draped around his face almost majestically. He smiled and you noticed his canines are pointier that anyone you have ever seen before.... wait, wait, wait. You could hit yourself for not noticing the round brown ears on the top of his head. That is why he is so much bigger than everyone in the room.... he is a grizzly bear hybrid.
You look to your friend in panic and notice she had the same look on her face. Grizzly bear hybrids are rare and tend to be more aggressive than other predator hybrids. You have never seen one before in person, you considered yourself lucky until now.
Finally zoning back in from your panic you realize that some non-hybrids share the same look as you and your friend do. Looking back over to the owner of the voice you catch his stare. Freezing up once again you can't look away from those... black eyes? or maybe they are a dark brown, you can't tell from the distance. Snapping out of your shock you realize he stops to... sniff.... no he can't be sniffing the air... can he?
Then realization hits you when he starts heading your way. You heard that hybrids could smell who their mate is, but it couldn't be. You can't possibly be his mate. Panic sets in again and you couldn't tell if you were overreacting, it couldn't be you he was heading towards. But still, you grab your friend's arm and bolt away before he could get close enough to start a conversation.
"What- Where are we going??" Your friend asks "We need to leave right no-" "WAIT, YOU IN THE (F/C) SHIRT!!" You could have sworn the ground shook with how loud his voice was. You don't freeze, now that you know for sure he was looking for you. "Is that-" You cut your friend off "We need to leave." She doesn't hesitate to grab her car keys from her pocket and catch up with your fast steps.
Looking behind you see the hybrid trying to make his way through the crowd. "WAIT, WAIT!!" He sounded so desperate, you almost felt bad if you still didn't feel the pit in your stomach. Looking ahead of you again, you both make it to the front door, storming out of the house and to the car. While your friend was starting it you both hear the front door slam open, turning your head to the side you see the hybrid rushing out. Your friend gets the car started and hits the gas to go forward. Looking back, you see him chasing the car with.... were those tears in his eyes? No, it couldn't be, he didn't even know you. Finally relaxing in your chair, you lay back and look at your friend and say, "I don't think I am going to go to a party with you for a while." Making eye contact you both start giggling. "I understand completely" she says in between her giggling.
*Time Skip*
You wake up with a raging headache, barley remembering what happened yesterday you groan and sit up. Then you pause as you remember who you saw and ran away from yesterday. A chill goes down your spine and you remember his smile with those pointed teeth. But you snap yourself out of it and say, "He didn't do anything wrong; I shouldn't be scared for no reason." But you can't shake the feeling of fear you felt when you saw him.
Getting out of bed you get ready for work, which you are supposed to be there in an hour. Changing into a cute shirt and jeans you make yourself your (Favorite breakfast). Once you finish your food, you grab your keys and head for the door. Getting in your car you start heading over to the floral shop. Entering the store was a whole dream, all the beautiful flowers and the addicting smells you can't help but smile. Making it to the back your boss greets you and gives you the orders to start the day.
A couple hours later you hear the door open and close, looking up to greet the customer you freeze. "Welc-...." Standing before you was the (at least 6'3) huge hybrid from yesterday. "I have been looking all over for you! Since you left so abruptly yesterday, I tracked down your scent and found you here! I was going to go to your apartment, but I thought that might have been too far." The smile on his face not disappearing, even after you didn't respond and just stared at him.
"You found me by my..... scent??" The sheer surprise you had confused him, his eyebrows furrowing. "Well of course honey, how else would I find you?" ..... Honey?!?!? Why is he calling you that?? Shaking the shock off you respond "Excuse me? I don't know you sir and I don't appreciate being called honey." If it could even be possible his eyebrows furrowed even more, before it looked like he realized something. "Oh dear! I forgot to introduce myself!! My names is Caleb, and I realize this might seem weird for you but... how do I word this.... well you are my mate!" The smile on his face grew 10 times when he said 'mate'
Chills rushed down your spine, and not the good kind. "Did you just say mates? No that can't be, I am sorry, but you have the wrong person." You almost felt bad as his face dropped, but you reminded yourself he basically stalked you to work! "But -" You cut him off, "I am really sorry and I wish you the best of luck finding who you are looking for." Tears started welling in his eyes.
"(Y/N)!" Turning around you see your boss, "Yes, sir?" "Come here right now!" Looking back at Caleb you quickly turn and rush to the backroom. "Wha-" You were cut off, "You need to leave, and take the b-bear with you!" "What si-" "LEAVE! You are gonna make business go down, so take him with you!" "Bu-" You were being shoved out of the room towards a very hopeful looking bear.
"You kids have fun!" Turning around the store door was closed in your face. Turning around to look at Caleb, you turn and start walking towards your car, keeping silent. "Wait!" Your arm was yanked backwards. "LET GO!" "No." He growled with a snarl on his face. "You are going to come with me so we can talk. Don't argue because you aren't going anywhere." Shutting your mouth, you start to walk with him, not wanting to be on his bad side. But you can't stop the small tingle you feel in the spot he touched.
He led you to a black car, opened the door, and gently pushed you inside. Once he got in, he started the car and got on the road. "Where are we going?" you managed to get out in a calm voice. Smiling over at you he replied, "Home of course." You had the feeling that it wasn't your house he was talking about.
*Time Skip*
It seemed like you had been in his car for hours, but it was just 30 minutes. Glancing over at him he seemed very content with a light smile on his face. You realize this might be because he finally has what he has waited his whole life for, his mate. Thinking back, you feel bad you just ran away from him and didn't even give him a chance to talk. Looking at his face you think he is very handsome, and you are surprised you didn't notice before. His jawline sharp, light freckles dusting his face, his shapely nose, and he had longer lashes then you did. "I hope you are pleased with how I look." His deep voice scared you out of your daze. Quickly looking away from you stare at the road ahead of you. Out of the corner of your eye you see him look towards you and say "You are so beautiful. So much better than what I imagined my mate to look like." You felt your cheeks heat up as you take a quick glance at him, luckily, he was looking back at the road.
Now going through an internal debate, you realize you don't feel scared anymore. It was almost like your body was relaxing after being with him and not fighting it. Trying to fight off the feelings you can't help but look over at him and say "Why am I feeling like this?" He glanced at you before turning his eyes back on the road. Looking concerned he said "Feeling like what? Are you feeling ill?" Sighing you say "No I don't feel sick but why do I feel comfortable with you? You basically just kidnapped me." You see a small smile making its way on his face, "It is because we are mates, you don't feel it as intensely as I do, since I have better senses than a normal human. But we were destined to be together it's only natural your body is reacting to my pheromones while your brain might be denying it." He suddenly reached a hand over and grabbed your hand. Tingles exploded everywhere just from that touch. You didn't move your hand away, even though you probably should have. Staring at your intertwined hands you couldn't help it, it just felt.... right.
Not even paying attention to the time anymore it takes you a quick second to realize the car stopped. Looking up you make eye contact with Caled. The smile on his face was so sweet you practically felt yourself melting, those dang pheromones. He turned and got out of the car, gently dropping your hand. You can't help but want to hold his hand again, even after everything. He opened the door for you, gently taking your hand again as you got out. As he went to pull his hand back you held on, refusing to let you go. You could see a big smile formed on his face as he looked at your hands.
Looking up you realize how far you must be from the city; you look at the beautiful cabin house, the log details, and the wrap around porch. The forest surrounding you was just as beautiful. Looking to the side of the house there is a small gravel pathway leading into the forest.
"Welcome to my home, well I guess it's ours now."
Looking at him, the sentence and you lightly pull your hand away from his. There is no way you are going to move in with him after just meeting him.... mates or not. A big frown formed on his face when you pulled away and hurt flashed in his eyes.
"I am not moving in with you. We just met! I don't appreciate being pushed into things. I know nothing about you, and you don't know anything about me."
Stepping back from him just a little. You see a change in his eyes, anger, or frustration? You are not completely sure.
Completely ignoring what you said before he continues on.
"My grandparents built this cabin when hybrids were still outcasts. Then it passed to my parents and now me. My parents built their own house further into the forest and decided I could have this house for my mate when I found her. No one knows about it."
Something flashed in his eyes when he said the last sentence. A chill ran down your spine and not a good one. You didn't like the implication of that at all. Your instincts were screaming to run and you couldn't fight your instincts. Not even giving your brain a chance to think, you bolted.
Running straight into the forest you curse yourself for not wearing running shoes to work today. You heard Caleb behind you shouting something, he sounded desperate and wounded. He sounded far enough away you know you surprised him by running. But you knew he would catch up to you eventually and you could hit yourself for not thinking about it before just bolting. There was a pain that you felt in your chest, but your adrenaline stopped the pain. You jumped over rocks and logs not wanting to slow down or trip. You could hear behind you Caleb was gaining on you and fast. Your legs burning you suddenly change routes. You hear a loud curse behind you and knew you shook him off your tail for just a second. That small victory didn't last long as the back of your shirt was yanked. Your back hitting a soft but solid chest.
You were absolutely winded while it seemed like he didn't even break a sweat. Looking at his face you shrink into yourself seeing a furious look. He had a snarl on his face and his eyebrows were furrowed together. You can't help but whimper slightly and you see sadness flash in his eyes just for a second before going back to anger.
"Where do you think you are going." He growled and you couldn't help but flinch at his tone.
"I was being nice and showing you my home, the one you are going to live in with me. I was going be nice and give you a week to stay at your house before moving in but after that stunt you pulled aren't ever going back."
"I'm sorry!" you practically cry out, shaking with fear. Turning around and grappling onto him, crying into his chest.
You couldn't explain it but the moment you ran it felt like your heart got torn out. But now, next to Caleb, the pain stopped.
"Why do I feel like this?!?!" Tears streaming down your face.
"Why do I want to be next to you so bad? Why did it hurt when I ran away!?"
You feel his muscular arms wrap around you and start rubbing your back. He started cooing and telling you it was ok, and he would explain later. His anger completely dissolving as he realized you felt the same pain he felt when you ran. Like someone just stabbed his heart out. Feeling yourself get picked up, you wrap your legs around his waist, stuffing your face in his neck, and wrapping your arms around the back of his head. You felt yourself calm almost instantly after putting your head in his neck. But the tears didn't stop even if you felt better.
"Let's get you back home, then we can clean up and eat something." He spoke so softly you almost wouldn't believe the anger he held in his voice not even 10 minutes ago.
Relaxing into his body you think to yourself, maybe it wouldn't be to bad if you just stayed with him.

At Your Service - Knight!Grayson x Princess!Reader
Fluff
Warnings: None
Word: 551
Summary: After the recent fire incident at the castle, you couldn’t help but think of one particular knight.
Her tall figure and raspy voice were the only thing running in your mind. And it drives you insane.
You've gotten used to all the knights with their hopeless attempts to impress you. Unfortunately, none of them seem to catch your attention.
All of them were the same.
That's what you assume every knight was like.
Not until one night where an unexpected fire incident started at the dining hall leaving your family members running for their lives.
On the other hand, you were accidentally left behind.
You remembered screaming for help when a silhouette emerged through the fire with their fireproof armour.
Without any hesitance, the knight carried you bridal-style before ordering the other knights with their buckets of water to stop the fire.
After you were safely escorted from the hazard, the mysterious hero gently placed you down.
"Are you okay, Your Highness?"
You would be lying if you said that her voice didn't make your heart skip a beat.
Several days have passed and you're still thinking about her. After telling your father about what had happened, he made sure to keep a good eye on this knight you were constantly talking about.
But things got more interesting the moment your father decided to make her work as your personal guard.
And as expected, the knight did a wonderful job.
You knew you started to fall harder for her after catching yourself secretly watching her perform her duties with the other knights. You could tell her apart despite her wearing the same armor as everyone else.
But you always wondered what she looked like under that helmet.
One day, you decided to take that chance and ask her.
"I always wondered what you look like... May I..?"
"But Your Highnes-"
"Please..?"
The poor knight was hesitant at first but after hearing that one word from you, she bent her head down, letting you take the helmet off.
Your hands trembled in excitement as you slowly lifted up, welcomed by a face of a very charming woman.
You never knew your heart could melt even more.
"You're beautiful..." You blurted out without realizing, your eyes locked with hers.
The older woman looked away, putting her head down in embarrassment.
"No, look at me," You lifted her chin up with the pad of your thumb, trying to get a better look at her. You softly chuckle the moment you noticed her cheeks turning pink.
"What's your name?" You whispered against her cheek, causing the older woman's body to tense up.
"Grayson." She uttered, finally building up the courage to look back at you.
"May I?"
The sudden question made the older woman raise her eyebrows in confusion, not certain what you were asking for.
After a moment of silence, you dropped her helmet and cupped the older woman's face with your palms before pressing your lips against her, earning a surprised hum.
Noticing Grayson getting more tense, you thought that she wasn't comfortable with your actions.
Feeling embarrassed from what you did, you quickly pulled away, only to be yanked back by the waist.
Grayson wrapped her strong arms around your waist, deepening the kiss.
Little did you know that your parents were watching from their balcony, smiling to themselves as the two of you continued exchanging kisses to one another
Author’s Note: This had been in my mind for quite awhile now and I HAD TO WRITE IT.

A Hard Day
Rosa Diaz x autistic!fem!reader Warnings: autism struggles, overstimulation (the autism kind not the sex kind), explicit language, soft Rosa <3 (if I've missed anything please let me know!) Word Count: 1.4k
Summary: Rosa leaves work in the middle of the day to help you after you get overstimulated. She starts to realize that she really, really cares about you.
“I gotta go,” Rosa said, standing abruptly mid-text.
“Wow, skipping out on the job, Diaz?” Jake joked, spinning around in his chair. “It’s only 3:00.”
Rosa didn’t answer, pulling on her coat and rummaging in her bag for her keys.
“What, you can’t wait until the end of the work day to make out with your new girlfriend?”Jake waggled his eyebrows.
She glared at him. “Not that it’s any of your fucking business,” Rosa growled, “but she’s having a hard day.”
Jake puckered his lips, an exaggerated expression of sadness. “Aw,” he cooed in a baby voice. “Y/N needs her little girlfriend to kiss it better?”
Rosa’s arm shot out to grab Jake’s collar, so quickly and forcefully that he yelped. “She’s autistic, jackass. Her bad days aren’t like ours.”
Jake looked uncomfortable as Rosa let him go, shoving him back into his seat so hard he rolled away a bit.
“Sorry,” he muttered. “Tell her, uh… good luck with the autism?”
Rosa rolled her eyes and stared at him. “You’re an idiot. Tell anyone about this and I’ll shove my boot so far down your throat the heel comes out your ass.”
He grimaced. “You’re a real poet, Rosa.”
But she was already gone, already on her motorcycle, already racing to your apartment at speeds she might have pulled someone over for.
She was quiet when she got to your apartment, quiet as she let herself in, quiet as she took off her leather jacket and set her bag by the door. Noise was one of your biggest triggers, so Rosa was careful not to add any. She found you in the corner of your bedroom–lights off, curtains closed, oversized hoodie pulled over your head, swinging your body back and forth, back and forth.
You looked adorable. She felt a little bad for finding you so pretty like this. She knew it had been a hard day for you, that this was your brain and body’s way of regulating itself. But, god, did she love your tiny, swinging arms. The way you soaked in so much of the world that she worked so hard to keep out. It was one of her favorite things about you, that you felt everything, experienced everything, so deeply. Rosa had a hard time letting herself experience or feel anything fully. Except you.
She knocked lightly on the door to let you know she was there. You swung a little wider, twisting your neck so you could see that it was her. You waved your hand at her briefly, then continued swinging. Rosa grinned at you. She'd never admit it, but her stomach did little somersaults whenever you saw her and smiled. It was so particular to you, a smile combined with stims. You’d squeeze your eyes together and lift your shoulder to touch your ear, grinning so big your eyes would disappear.
“Hi, Rosa,” you said quietly as she approached you.
“Hi, baby.” She took your hand and squeezed. If you had looked at her, if you had made eye contact, you would have seen something not many people saw in Rosa’s eyes–softness, care, deep-seated concern. You would have seen a face that was open, that read loud and clear, I would do anything for you. “You feeling any better?”
You shook your head.
“Want me to hold you?”
You nodded, and Rosa gently pulled on your arm, leading you to the bed. She got herself situated, then pulled you onto her lap. You buried your face beneath her neck, pressing into her, seeking out deep pressure, the steady sound of her heartbeat, the smell of her perfume on her neck–citrusy and spicy. She held you hard, her strong arms wrapped around you, her body tensed to give you the most pressure she could.
The first time you’d let her see you overstimulated, she’d tried to play with your hair and hold you gently, and you’d said, “That’s too light. Press hard.” So she’d pulled you into a loose hug. “Harder, Rosa.” So she’d squeezed you, resting her face next to yours. “More, Rosa,” you’d insisted. “I’m not gonna break.” She’d been afraid she was hurting you, but there was no denying the results. When she held you like that–so tightly she worried you’d burst–your breathing slowed, your muscles relaxed, you melted into her like all the stress of the world couldn’t touch you. And she genuinely hoped that when you were in her arms, it couldn’t.
You let out a relieved sigh as Rosa rested her chin on your hooded head, snaking her hand inside to gently scratch her fingers along your scalp and through your hair as she rocked you back and forth.
“I shouldn’t have gone,” you whispered into her chest.
“To the work thing?”
You nodded.
“I did so good until the end.” Your voice cracked, and Rosa pressed her lips to your head. “I hate being like this.”
“Hey, now,” Rosa said, her voice vibrating against you. “Don’t talk about my girlfriend like that.”
“But it’s true,” you insisted. “It makes everything harder. It makes it harder for you, too.”
Rosa sighed. She wanted to look into your eyes, but she knew that’d be hard for you right now, so she settled for pressing her cheek to yours instead.
“Y/N,” she said, her breath warm in your ear. “There is nothing hard about being with you.”
“I don’t believe you."
“I know that being autistic is hard for you sometimes,” Rosa continued. “But it’s really beautiful, too. I love your stims. I think they’re adorable. I think you’re funny without trying to be. You make me laugh. And smile. And ask anyone I know, I never smile. That’s just for you. You just… you see things and experience things in a way that’s just yours. And that’s badass.”
You giggled and sniffed. “You think autism’s badass?”
“I do,” she confirmed, grinning as you emerged from your hoodie, finally meeting her eyes. “I think it’s hot, too.”
You laughed and traced Rosa’s eyebrows with your finger, making your way down the bridge of her nose, then across the place where her face dimpled when she smiled, all the way to the bottom of her lips. She bent toward you and kissed your pointer finger, then took your hands and kissed your nose, smiling as you scrunched and stimmed.
“Grey’s Anatomy?” she asked. “I can make us mac ‘n cheese later, too.”
Your face lit up, and you leaped out of bed, your hoodie swallowing you. “Spongebob shapes?” She nodded. You grabbed Rosa’s hand and pulled her to her feet, kissing her quickly on the mouth.
“Wait, wait, not so fast,” she protested, as you bounced on the balls of your feet, trying to zoom off to the living room. She held the bottom of your face in both her hands and pulled your head toward her, kissing you deeply. She smiled into the kiss as you shook your hands next to your face.
“I love you,” you chirped, as you pulled away, thinking nothing of it and bounding into the living room. But Rosa’s breath caught in her throat. You all hadn’t said I love you yet. You hadn’t had the moment. But maybe there didn’t need to be a moment. Rosa’s heart surged as she watched you get the TV set up, covering yourself in a blanket so that only your head popped up.
“Come on, Rosa!” you called. “I want to snuggle!”
Rosa joined you on the couch, laying down so that her head was on your chest, her body pressing into yours, knowing that you’d find the pressure comforting. She’d never admit it–not to anyone but you–but she found it comforting, too, like this. She liked to be held. She would murder anyone who ever found out, but she loved your hands through her hair, loved being able to hear your heartbeat, loved the way your arms around her seemed to grow heavier when you fell asleep.
“I love you, too,” she mumbled into you, surprised by how easy it was to say.
“What?” you said, tilting your head toward her, your eyes still trained on the TV.
She smiled. “I said I love you, you nerd.”
“Oh. Yeah,” you confirmed, as if it was the easiest, most natural thing in the world to love Rosa. And, for you, it was. “Yeah, me too.”

I’m not ignoring your comments Tumblr won’t let me respond :( But please, please comment I live for it
Part One, Part Two
Part Three: Skip-Bo and Chess
My mind raced as I went over the contract. Everything seemed too simple, too easy. The only terms and conditions I had to abide by were that I wouldn’t reveal his identity and that I would need to essentially be on call from the hours of 21:00 to 7:00, but roughly 24/7. The pay was a ridiculous amount. The insurance was crazy good. I didn’t realize it was possible to get that much coverage. But this went against everything I have represented in my life. Would I be betraying the people of Gotham, my patients, and my fellow coworkers, by taking this job? Would I be betraying myself and my past history?
Gotham City: 16 Years Ago
My father and I stood over my mother’s grave. It was strange. My mom was a woman who breathed life into everything. She never wore a dull color, she danced whenever she could, and she sang horribly and off tune. She wore her hair in two long braids with colorful ribbons. She wore sweet perfume. She wore red lipstick. She wore so many necklaces and bracelets she jingled when she walked. She snorted when she laughed. And now when I looked at her all I saw was dirt and a gravestone. Her colorfulness, her loudness, her laughter, her joy, all of it was gone. I knew I couldn’t cry though. Not in front of Dad. He got so much meaner when I did. Sometimes I wonder what my beautiful, colorful, caring mother saw in this cruel bleak man. But I guess his bitterness was supposed to balance out her sweetness.
But without her, it felt like I was choking on the disgusting taste of my reality. We were grieving. We had no money. And the debt just seemed to be getting deeper and deeper. I tried selling homemade cookies at school to help out. I raised about 22 dollars. I came home with a smile on my face and handed my father the money. He pocketed it without another word. It was almost worse when he was like this.
It felt like he was a teapot that was brewing and I was just waiting for the wrong thing to set him off.
Some days when I came home from school he was home. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t look at me. Other days he wasn’t there. I had to scavenge the house for food or walk to the convenience store with what little money I had scurried away.
It felt like my life had become black and white without my mom. Everything seemed so hopelessly bad. Then one day my dad came home with a smile on his face. My first instinct was to tense my body and avert my gaze. I didn’t know what he was going to do.
“Sweetie, come with me. I have an idea,” my father said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me out the door with him.
He drove like a maniac and pulled up towards a seemingly abandoned building. My blood ran cold with anticipation.
My father practically ripped me out of the car and dragged me inside. Inside there were about twenty men all pretty beat up. All of them looked at me. I picked at my hangnails and looked at my father.
“Y/n, these gentlemen need to be healed. Be a doll and heal them.” My father’s words were clipped, and my pulse raced. I merely nodded and healed man after man. It became clear to me, even at my young age, that these men were a part of a gang. Who’s? I had no idea.
That was until a fat man in a tuxedo and a cane walked up to my father. He handed him a bundle of cash, they whispered some hurried words and the grotesque man leaned down towards me.
His short fat finger booped my nose, and the man tilted his head back and laughed at my reaction. I wanted to bite his finger off. I wanted to go home. I wanted my mom.
For the next two years, my father did business with anyone that could pay him. Our life went from living by the penny to living in luxury. All due to my power. The richest of the rich, politicians, businessmen, criminals, and villains, all used my services. And eventually, they tried to buy me.
That’s when I decided to run away. Or die trying.
Gotham City: Present Day
I sat across from Sam, my best friend, and nurse colleague. “What do you think I should do?” She was the only one that I trusted enough to tell everything to. Of course, I left out the whole, ‘My boss would be Batman thing.’
“Girl, if you don’t take this job I will kill you,” Sam said, taking a large bite of her pasta.
“Do you think I’m betraying my younger self? I promised I would never be bought. I would never work for a corrupt man.”
“Maybe you should discuss with Mr. Wayne, that you would like to remain a nurse part-time. That way you ease your conscious about everything but still live in a fucking MANSION and make BANK, you dummy head. And this way you’re reclaiming your past. You get to choose. You’re not trapped.”
I mindlessly pushed my food around my plate, lost in thought. “That’s not a terrible idea.”
“Of course not, I never have bad ideas. Take one more night to think about it. But I think you have your answer.”
That night I tossed and turned in my bed. I grabbed my phone, the bright screen making me blink.
[I accept your terms, but I do have a few remediations to the contract. Signed, y/f/n y/l/n.]
One week later.
“How are you taking to your new living situation, Miss y/l/n?” Alfred asked as he expertly julienned an onion. I not as gracefully diced several cloves of garlic across from him.
I looked up at him, smiling, “I’m still getting used to it, to be honest.” It had become a silent routine over the past week. When I wasn’t working at the hospital, or patching up Batman, I got bored. So, I started helping Alfred with cooking.
He taught me how to play chess. I taught him how to play Skip-Bo and dominos. I had grown quite fond of the man over the short period. It most definitely was my daddy issues clinging to the first nice man I saw. But Alfred Pennyworth seemed truly kind to me.
I hadn’t met any other members of Bruce’s family, but supposedly they were all meeting for dinner tonight. For some reason, my pulse spiked at the thought of meeting them. My past gave me anxiety when meeting new people I didn’t know.
As if reading my thoughts Alfred asked, “How are you feeling about meeting everyone tonight?”
I cut a piece of garlic a bit harshly, “I’m– I’m fine. Do you know if I am to meet them after the dinner or before?”
Alfred’s eyebrows quirked, “What do you mean? You most probably will meet them at dinner. You are attending are you not?”
“I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to eat with the family or not,” I stated, hesitantly.
I heard a twang of metal as Alfred set down his knife. He gave me his full attention as he said, “Master Wayne may seem abrasive, Miss. But I assure you, he would never have to eat separately unless that is what you wished.”
Abrasive was one way to put it. He often reminded me of a feral cat when I tried to heal him. He would practically hiss that he was fine. I had to politely remind my employer a few times that this was what I was here for and to let me heal him.
We cooked in silence for a while, when out of the blue I asked Alfred, “Alfred, are you happy?”
Alfred always holding his poise answered calmly, “Happiness is something that fluctuates in my life, Miss. I will say that knowing that Master Wayne and the rest of the family are in your capable hands is reassuring me as of late. I also have been enjoying your company, no matter how many times you beat me in Skip-Bo.”
I laughed, a true genuine laugh. “Hey, you win every time we play chess!”
Alfred smiled softly, “Miss I have been playing chess since I was five years old. If I lost I think I would have to revoke my Englishmanship.”
After my laughter died down, another question popped in my head, “What are they like? Mr. Wayne’s family?”
Alfred smiled, “Those children are loud, argumentative, loyal, funny, stubborn, etc. I love those children with everything I am. You will too, Miss y/l/n.”
An unfamiliar sense of warmth bloomed in my chest, “Thank you, Alfred.”
“Thank you, Miss y/l/n.”
As I was getting dressed. I could not pick out what I wanted to wear. Did I want to go casual with a tee shirt and jeans? A bit more formal with a dress? Semi-casual with a skirt and sweater? I decided on the last one, with some tights on underneath. I wanted to make a good impression. It felt like the first day of school. I made my way down the stairs. No one had arrived yet. I took a seat next to Alfred, my leg bouncing.
Alfred patted my shoulder when we heard the door open, “It will be just fine.”
The loud oncoming footsteps mimicked my thundering pulse.

part 5/?
My mind swirled, still reeling from the intensity of his touch and the weight of his words. “You’re mine,” echoed in my head, over and over, like an endless loop. The way he claimed me, the possessiveness in his voice—it had ignited something inside me, something I hadn’t realized was there.
But as the moments passed, and the adrenaline started to fade, the doubts crept in. I thought about Herogasm, about the things he had done there. The whispers I had heard. The threesomes with Crimson Countess. Was I really his? Or was I just another in a long line of women he claimed in the heat of the moment, only to forget the next day?
The room suddenly felt too quiet, the space between us too heavy. I was still lying beneath him, his body pressed against mine, but I felt distant, like I wasn’t really there. My insecurities gnawed at me, clawing their way to the surface.
What did I mean to him, really? Could I even trust anything he said? Or was this just another game, another conquest to pass the time until he got bored?
I didn’t say anything. I couldn’t. The questions were too loud in my head, drowning out everything else. I felt my body stiffen slightly beneath his, but I stayed silent.
Very, very quiet.
Ben noticed, of course. He always noticed. His arms, which had been holding me so possessively moments ago, loosened slightly as he shifted his weight, looking down at me with a raised eyebrow.
"You okay?" he asked, his voice low but not without a hint of curiosity.
I nodded, but it wasn’t convincing. Not even to myself.
He watched me for a second longer, his gaze searching, but I kept my face neutral, not wanting to give anything away. I didn’t want to ask about Herogasm. I didn’t want to know. But the jealousy, the insecurity, was there, lingering, and no matter how hard I tried to push it down, it was suffocating.
I turned my head slightly, biting my lip, trying to focus on anything but the storm brewing inside me.
Ben lay beneath me, his broad chest rising and falling slowly as I traced soft patterns on his skin. My fingers moved without thought, gliding over the scars and muscles, the silence between us feeling heavier than usual. It should’ve been peaceful, the two of us tangled up like this, but tonight it wasn’t.
I sighed quietly, gathering the courage to say what had been gnawing at me for weeks. “We can’t keep doing this,” I whispered, my voice sounding far more fragile than I wanted.
I felt his body tense beneath my fingertips. He didn’t say anything right away, but I could sense the irritation building. His voice, when it finally came, was low, almost dismissive. "Why not?"
I shifted slightly, pushing myself up just enough to look at him. His sharp greenbeyes were locked on me, searching for an explanation that didn’t exist. I swallowed hard, the words heavy on my tongue. “Because… what if I fall in love?”
For a split second, I thought I saw something flicker in his gaze—surprise, maybe. But it was gone as quickly as it came, replaced by that hardened look he always wore when things got too close for comfort.
"Are you... falling for me?" he asked, his voice clipped, like the question itself annoyed him.
I felt my heart skip, my throat tightening. “No, but—”
“Then don’t,” he interrupted, his tone sharp, final. Like it was that easy.
I stared at him, my frustration bubbling up faster than I could contain it. “And what if I fall for someone else? Someone who wants more than just… this?”
His eyes narrowed, a dark look crossing his face. “Again. Don’t.”
The air between us felt cold, and suddenly, it was as if the bed had grown miles wide. I sat up, pulling away from him slightly, the disbelief and frustration flooding out of me in a rush. “You’re so selfish, Ben.”
He frowned, sitting up a bit as well, his chest nearly brushing against mine. “Selfish? I give you everything, don’t I?”
“Everything you want,” I said, the words bitter as they left my mouth. “But I can’t have what I want. You get to have me whenever you feel like it, but the second I want something more, you just shut it down.”
His scowl deepened, his jaw tightening. “What’s so bad about what we have? You get the perks, I get—”
I cut him off, shaking my head. “You get control, Ben. You get to live your life however you want, and I’m just supposed to sit here, waiting for you to decide when you want me again. That’s not enough for me. I can’t be your mistress forever.”
He grabbed my wrist, his grip firm but not painful. His voice was quieter now, but still laced with that possessive edge that made my heart twist. “You’re mine, Y/N. That’s not changing.”
I stared at him, feeling the ache in my chest grow. God, how many times had I wished those words meant something more? But they never did. Not with him.
“That’s the problem, isn’t it?” I whispered, my voice breaking just a little. “You want to own me, but you won’t let me have you. Not really.”
His grip loosened, and for the first time, I saw something crack in him—something vulnerable, something almost real. But it was fleeting, gone before I could reach for it.
“I don’t want you to leave,” he said softly, the closest thing to tenderness I’d ever heard from him. But even then, it was still all about what he wanted.
I sighed, the weight of it all pressing down on me. “I haven’t... yet,” I said, trying to mask the sadness in my voice. I pulled my wrist from his hand and lay back down beside him, resting my head on his chest once more. But this time, it didn’t feel the same. His warmth didn’t reach me like it used to.
He wrapped his arm around me, holding me close as if that could fix everything, as if it could keep me from slipping away. But deep down, I knew the truth.
Something had already changed. And maybe, just maybe, I was already halfway gone.
After a long, tense silence, Ben suddenly sat up, his brows furrowing. “What do you mean, yet?” His voice was calm, but there was an edge underneath, like he didn’t quite believe what he was hearing.
I shrugged, trying to keep my emotions in check. “I was never meant to stay here forever, Ben.”
His eyes darkened, his jaw clenching. “I want you here.”
I looked at him, feeling the frustration start to boil over. “Well, I don’t want to be held prisoner.”
“You’re not,” he snapped back, almost defensive, like he truly believed that was the case.
“Oh, no?” My patience finally broke, and the words spilled out before I could stop them. “I have to stay quiet, not fall for you or anyone else, and in return, I get pretty clothes and a house, if I open my legs when you want me to. But you? You can go fuck other supes in some orgy, and I’m just supposed to sit here and wait until you come back?”
Ben’s face tightened, but there was something like guilt flickering behind his eyes. “I thought you didn’t want me after Herogasm,” he bit back.
I could barely contain my anger now. “No, Ben! I wanted you during! I wanted you here, with me!” The words came out raw, my voice shaking with the weight of everything I’d held in for so long. “While you were off with whoever, I was here, waiting for something—anything from you. And all I got was silence.”
He opened his mouth, but no words came. For a moment, he just stared at me, like he didn’t know how to process what I was saying. His usual confidence—no, arrogance—had cracked. But it didn’t make me feel any better.
I stood up from the bed, wrapping my arms around myself as if that could shield me from the storm of emotions swirling inside me. “You think you can have everything, don’t you? The control, the power, the women... and me. But I can’t keep doing this, Ben. Not like this.”
He remained silent, staring at me with a mix of frustration and something else—something almost like regret. But that wasn’t enough. Not anymore.
“I need more,” I whispered, my voice trembling now. “I need to feel like I matter to... someone. Not just when it’s convenient. Not just when you want me.”
Ben sighed, the sound low and frustrated, as I started pacing around the room, the tension between us growing thick.
"I already gave you more," he said, his voice almost resigned, like he didn’t understand why I couldn’t just let this go.
I stopped and turned to face him, the frustration bubbling over again. "No, you don’t!" I yelled, my voice cracking with emotion.
He got up in a flash, moving toward me faster than I could react. “I fucking do!” he snarled, his voice full of that deep anger he rarely let show.
Before I could back away, he grabbed me by the arm, pulling me sharply toward him. His other hand came up, roughly pinching my chin and cheeks, forcing me to look at him. His grip was tight, too tight, but I could feel the heat radiating off him, the fury barely contained beneath the surface.
“I sneak around to see you,” he growled, his face inches from mine. “I give you clothes and presents. I kissed you when I wasn’t supposed to. I broke the damn rules for you!” His voice was thick with frustration, like I wasn’t seeing the effort he thought he was putting in.
The words stung, but not in the way he intended. All I could feel was how little it actually meant, how shallow those gestures were when everything else was so broken. My breath came quick and shaky, and before I could think, I lashed out.
“You’re Soldier Boy!” I spat, my heart pounding in my chest. “You never followed the rules. That doesn’t mean shit!”
I hit him. Hard. My hand connected with his chest, and though I knew it didn’t hurt him, it was enough to make him release his grip.
His eyes flashed with surprise, and for a second, he looked stunned, like he couldn’t believe I’d hit him. But I didn’t back down. My chest heaved with all the anger I had been holding in for months, maybe even longer.
“You think because you break a few rules, give me some gifts, that I should just be grateful?” I stepped back, rubbing the sore spot on my arm where he’d grabbed me. “I don’t want your pity presents or your secret meetings.
" I want… I want…”
“What do you want?” he shot back, his voice sharp and angry. “Tell me, and I’ll give it to you!”
My breath caught in my throat as I stared at him, feeling the walls between us crack but not yet fall. “You can’t,” I whispered, shaking my head, the frustration welling up in me.
“Try me!” he demanded, his voice booming in the small room, daring me to say what had been choking me for so long.
“I want a life, Ben,” I said, my voice breaking. “A real life. A family. I want—” I faltered, my chest tight, the words catching on something raw and painful inside me. “I want to be loved.”
“You are!” he yelled back, his voice harsh, almost like it was ripped from him. “You are loved!”
His words echoed, and suddenly, the room fell into a thick, heavy silence. I stopped breathing, blinking at him, trying to process what he’d just said. My heart skipped a beat, but my mouth stayed shut.
He looked at me, chest heaving with the weight of his own admission. His face was tight, eyes burning into mine, but he didn’t say anything else. No soft confession, no explanation. Just those three words, flung out into the space between us like a grenade.
I stayed quiet, feeling a lump form in my throat. I had wanted to hear those words so badly, for so long, but the way they’d come out—angry, raw—didn’t feel like how love was supposed to feel.
I waited, hoping he’d say something more, something to make sense of it all. But Ben just stood there, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, his eyes darting over my face like he was searching for something—anything—that could fix what had just cracked open between us.
But he didn’t. He didn’t say a word.
After a minute of trying to calm myself down, I took a shaky breath and whispered, “What?”
Ben didn’t turn to look at me, but his voice was low, steady. “I thought that was pretty clear.”
I stood there, frozen for a second, the weight of his words sinking in. As he started to turn away, something inside me stirred—a desperate need to understand, to not let this moment slip away. I reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him back before he could walk any further.
“Ben…” I said, my voice softer now, more vulnerable. His piercing green eyes met mine, and I could see something flickering in them. Uncertainty? Fear? I wasn’t sure, but it was something I hadn’t seen before.
I looked up at him, searching his face. “Are you falling for me?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper as I mimicked the very question he’d thrown at me earlier.
He didn’t respond. The silence stretched between us, tense and unbearable. His eyes flicked away from mine, and instead of saying anything—anything to give me a reason to hold on—he just grabbed his clothes.
Without a word, Ben started dressing, his movements quick and deliberate. I stood there, my heart pounding, waiting for him to say something, to explain, but the silence only grew louder. My throat tightened as I watched him, a cold feeling creeping into my chest.
Then, just like that, he walked toward the door, leaving me standing there, still waiting for an answer.
He didn’t look back. He didn’t say goodbye. He just opened the door and walked out, leaving me alone with nothing but the empty space he’d left behind.

okay this might be an odd request but could you do Taylor Swift comforting a male reader about their insecurities? Or the reader comforting Taylor after a hard day at work or something like that idk. Love you work!
pent up feelings.
| T.S
Warnings: Taylor crying, overthinking, R comforting, lots of kisses for assurance
Summary: Taylor's had her rough week, going through all the world throws at her as she tries to stand tall. But upon one night, she comes home to you with an exhausted mind, needing nothing else but you.
Word Count: 3k
Category: fluff, comfort
A/N: I think this was pretty hard for me to make because it hurts for me to witness tay being emotional, more so even write about it :( I do very much love having it out here though, and writing special details like the ones in this fic are precious to me
A/N on request: its not odd at all! I chose the second option only because I wasnt entirely sure what insecurities you wanted me to do. I also dont reaaally write male reader (I do gn!reader/not specifying gender), but still thank you so much for the request! I really hope this reaches your expectations and I hope that you're doing well<3

"Consumed by my own overloaded thoughts and bottled up emotions, that they spill into tears."
"But darling, here, my arms will be open for you to tiredly lean into, to wrap around your exhilirated soul and keep you warm with all my love."
|——————————— ⸆⸉ ———————————|
The moon was high in the sky when Taylor arrived home, heart heavy. She gently shuts the door, the sound echoing through the space and mixing in with the crickets.
Once she got her shoes off, she looks around, but the room was empty aside from her cats in the living room. Meredith was casually napping on the couch, her form swirled up gracefully. Taylor moves closer, reaching up her hand to gently scratch her on the head.
The cat stirred, a gentle purr sounding out as it leans into her touch. She stares down, seeing the gray shades Meredith had mixed in with the white color of her fur.
With how quiet the house seemed to be, and with you nowhere in the living room, Taylor expected you to be asleep in the bedroom, only wishing you were here to greet her.
Yet, when she glances to the bedroom, the door was open just a crack, and it had her curious. Perhaps you had forgotten to close it entirely, or even wanted to hear her come home. The thought swelled her heart. But, she couldn't think that anyone could have possibly wanted to do such a thing.
Her legs go forward, every footstep being careful. Each and every one of her muscles were aching, and her heart was tired, but she mustered up all her energy to find you.
A gentle creak sounds out as Taylor tilts her head, peeking in. The bed was actually empty, making her heart skip a beat. But when she looks further up, you were sitting at her desk chair, fully awake.
You heard the sound of the door, and you turn to look at her, seeing her stunned expression that was blinking at you. You smile softly, not minding her surprise.
"Baby," she says under her breath, closing the door behind her as she lets her shoulders fall down. It was clear she was absolutely wondering what you were doing awake.
"Hi," you replied back gently with a small wave, tilting your head as you took in her appearance. She seemed tense, and her eyes held just the smallest glimpse of worry, even though you were the one who had been having reeling thoughts, concerned for her wellbeing.
"What're you doing up...?" She asks with her voice soft, putting her bag down on the nightstand and taking one step forward. But you seemed so far to her. So many steps.
Your eyes soften, feeling your heart ache at the mere question, and you fully turn to her, arm rested on the desk beside you.
"Waiting for you...What else?" you said softly, watching her eyes come to realization and her teeth have its bite on her lower lip, something telling of the anxiety swirling in her.
"Oh...I...you didn't have to," she said, the corner of her lips raising up slightly, but it seemed almost nervously, with the action of her eyes traveling from the floor and to you. But you kept your gentle appearance, your next movement only being a shake of your head.
"No, but I wanted to," you whispered. You gave her a small reassuring smile, hoping it'll calm down some of her nerves. She took a breath, her teeth not properly letting go of her lip just yet.
You searched her eyes, needing to look intently from how far you were. "...Did something happen?" you asked gently, slowly moving to stand up and make your way to the bed to get closer to her, but not too much so you're not intruding on her space.
She stopped biting her lip, but it was only to speak. "No-- its...I'm just..." she shook her head. It was almost as if she was at a loss for words. Perhaps it was either the tireness within her, or the way every one of her thoughts inside her collided against each other, each thing that had ever happened from just one thing or everything.
The blonde meets your eyes, taking in a breath. "...Its nothing," she whispered, her voice nearly shaking. Her fingers gently furled, and her jaw clenched for just a moment. You went to settle down on the bed in the meanwhile, resting against the pillows.
You gazed at her, "Come here," you whispered softly, putting your arms out slightly for her. She searches your eyes for a second, but doesn't waste another when she goes to the bed without more steps as she was close to it already, her lip having a slight noticeable tremble.
You felt your heart ache as Taylor crawls into bed with you, going closer until she's curled up against you to find your comfort. In the quietness of the bedroom, the noise of movement was there, but then a sniffle sounds out, and your hands wrap around her, gently, but tightly.
You gently weaved through her hair, resting your chin lightly atop her head as you were aware of the care she craves for deeply.
A gentle but shaky inhale comes from her, and you gaze down with soft concern, a small frown forming upon your lips.
"You know..." you whisper gently, starting your sentence with only a few words so she can bring her attention to your voice. Your hand slows down, and your lips move to place a soft kiss atop her head before pulling back just a little, just to let her eyes meet yours. "You don't always have to be strong, sweetheart..."
She felt the words hit her like a realization as she looked into your eyes; her vulnerable expression cracking, yet, still, her walls were kept high, and she shook her head.
"Just a bad day..." she mumbles, leaning into you. Her hand traces the collar of your shirt, feeling the confined outlines of the factory stitches against the pad of her fingers.
She knows you want to know what made it all go wrong. Whatever happened to her that made her have to fight back these darning tears she hated. But she doesn't wanna talk about anyone or anything. She just wanted to be with you.
"I-- there's...too many things." she whispers out shakily, starting to break, but you keep your gentle gaze, your hand resuming with its gentle motion on her back.
"Its okay. You don't have to explain." You shake your head, whispering back. She bit the inside of her cheek, looking up at you with glossy irises.
"...It was a lot." Her tears were threatening to leave the edge of her eyes, the gleam of it visible in the dim lighting. You can feel a crack going inside your heart, aching at how tired she looked.
She had been everywhere the past few days. There was nearly no time for her to catch a break. Today was her last straw, and it had perhaps continued to go even while she had nothing else to fight with, other than with the known fact that she was coming back home to you. But her mind was clouded with anxiety, even with the thought of you.
"I just need you...." She admitted, the sound of her voice barely even above the breath that had escaped along her words. You take in a gentle breath, your cheek brushing against her hair as you nod.
"I know..." you murmured, pulling her closer. Her fingers curled into your shirt, lightly gripping the fabric. Soon, her walls crumble, and she stifles the broken sob that leaves her lips, echoing off the walls of your shared bedroom that you've spent countless memories in together, full of love and care.
Your eyes squint in sadness, and you place a gentle kiss on the side of her head since her face was buried in the crook of your neck, hidden away from your view.
"Let it all out, sweetheart..." you whisper softly, quietly, just as the way Taylor was trying to stifle her sobs. Your skin felt the warm tears that had gone down, tracing a path down to your shirt that soaked it up.
"You're home now, safe with me..." you murmur, hugging her tighter, letting her release the deeply held emotions she's kept for far too long.
Your hands could feel the wracking shakes of her body, the warmth in her presence, but the heaviness of her shoulders, holding, maybe even the weight of the entire world.
The ceiling fan gently created white noise that overlayed the sounds of quiet sobs and movement, wind passing by your ear all while you whisper soft reassurances to soothe her rattling heart.
"I'm sorry I'm late..." she mumbles suddenly, her breath hiccuping. Your eyes glide to her in concern, but since she was hidden away in your neck, you could only see her golden blonde locks. Instead, you move to softly kiss her temple, tilting your head to reach it.
"Shh...its okay, I promise," you murmur in a hushed soothe, leaning back so you could take a look at her face. You offer her a comforting smile, and your hand moves to gently push her stray hairs away from her face.
"You have a lot of work. I know that, sweetheart. You don't always have to be early or 'on time', whenever that is..." you shake your head as you say your gentle words, expressing them as you go.
Taylor blinks and sniffles, her nose red and her eyes puffy. She licks her dry lips, taking in a stumbled breath. You stay in patience, reaching up to brush your thumb against her cheek, wiping the tears away from her soft skin. You took gentle care in your touch, going further up to the corner of her eye; where the source of the tears are.
"You don't mind...?" she asks, her voice strangled and out of pitch. But that doesn't matter. She wasn't onstage for the moment. She was with you. Where she could be who she was however she wanted to be.
Your eyes soften, and you lean in closer, your lips making contact with the tip of her nose. "Sweetheart...of course not. I just get worried about you, you know?"
She searches your eyes, as if looking, for even a fraction of a lie. But all you had well within your pupils were love and honesty. Something she never knew was possible to see in someone's eyes without a certain deviousness accompanied with it.
Her breaths were still unsteady, but she swallows it down, trying to communicate with you. "I-I'm scared..." she whispered shakily, her eyes darting away from your gaze.
You look at her without judgement, tilting your head with a slight curiosity, a gentle expression simply to be there for her.
"Of what?" you question, your mind quickly going through anything she could be anxious of in case she needs an aid to her tainted mind.
But her quietness fortunately didn't stay for long, even when she hesitated. Her lower lip had a visible teeth mark from her biting. "What if..." she starts, but trails off, unable to say the words.
You tip your head downward slightly, letting her gather her courage and words without intrusion.
"What if I get back home and you're not here?" She whispered through a broken voice, afraid of all the outcomes that she's ever come up with in her head. You were her home. The house wouldn't be a home without you, and her kingdom would shatter, would the character of you no longer be present.
"Hey...I love you, okay?" You whisper, moving to cradle her face in your hands, something she hasn't felt in a while. But you always did that. Brushing your fingertips over her cheeks. She leans into the touch, her eyes welling up once more. Her racing mind and her worries were slowing down, starting to pay attention and hearing your gentle voice.
"I love you." You say the three little words again, ensuring she was listening as you looked into her deep blue eyes, focused on yours. So many thoughts held in her head, but you know her soft heart cannot handle so many things. Not even you, could begin to think of trying to walk that life.
You nibble the corner of your lip slightly, showing your own worry as you think over your words, an action she noticed herself. She reaches up with her trembling hand, gently touching your lip so your teeth would let go. You smile softly, seeing how much she's aware and cares even when she's sad.
"I'm not going anywhere, I promise. Not without you." your light assurance comes out, and the tears in her eyes seemed to have stopped just a little, only looking at you with love instead of just worry. You smile wider, happy to let a small weight fall off her chest.
"I will always love you. I'll love you forever." you murmur, going in to kiss her cheek, peppering soft kisses all over. She feels the way your lips tickle her skin, giving a tingling feeling, and a soft giggle manages to escape her.
"Its okay. Its always going to be okay, yeah?" You tilt your head, your thumb moving to caress the soft skin of her hand. She nods, knowing you're right. How could she have gotten this far anyway, even while worrying that everything would go inevitably wrong sometimes, yet the world always ends up letting her back into her own balance.
A few moments go by as you let her calm down, seeing the way her breaths were still shaky. You took a small deep breath in, keeping the eye contact, and she follows, gathering her normal breathing back. She needed a good cry and simply to let out her emotions, and her soul was relieved as she realizes you had let her do that, simply by being there for her in the meanwhile.
"You're the sweetest human being," you whisper, gazing at her adoringly. Then, your fingers entangle with hers, and you bring one of her hands up to leave a kiss on her knuckles.
The smile that raises on her lips makes your heart skip a beat. She was melting on the inside at how soft you could be. But even with the smile, you can spot the small furrow in her brows, the wince and quick blinking that she did.
You hum softly, knowing exactly what she was dealing with after all the days you've been welcoming her back home. "Headache, hm?" you whisper out, and she pouts, nodding.
"Mm," her own hum escapes, feeling your hands go up to soothe it, putting a light pressure that helps alleviate the headache that caused from her stressful and overwhelming situations of the week.
You continue your actions, watching her eyes close as she leans into your touch, going to the side and nearly resting against your shoulder, but barely putting her entire weight against you.
"You should rest, baby..." you suggest, wanting her to let herself relax, without any more thoughts of interviews, shows, photoshoots, or just about anything that isn't the peaceful sound of rain or the cozy atmosphere of your shared bedroom.
"But..." she starts, inhaling a breath before she was about to go with her sentence, her eyes going up to you, but you cut her off.
"Sleep," you whisper, shifting your position to a more comfortable one. She moves herself, but still curling up against you, arms entangled in the embrace.
"I'll be right here in the morning, and you can wake me up early," you say, smiling softly as you saw her eyes growing droopy at the more comfortable position. Yet, she sniffles from the lingering fluid in her nose that had stayed due to her crying session earlier, and gazes up at you.
"But you're too precious to wake up in the morning..." she murmurs adorably sleepily, resting her head against your chest fully. You breathe out a chuckle, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead.
"And you're too precious for my eyes to miss seeing you," you respond mindlessly, making her smile. You turn your head and reach over to your side, grabbing a clean tissue from the nightstand and giving it to her.
She looks at you with a thankful expression, and moves the tissue to her nose, blowing into it. Your gaze turns gentle, your hand rubbing her back as she clears out the remaining inside of her nose.
When she was done, she was about to hold onto the tissue since she didn't want to be a burden, but when you offer a hand down, she puts the used tissue in your hand. You throw it away, successfully landing it in the trash bin at the desk sitting in the corner of the room.
You then return your attention back to her, tracing patterns on her soothingly. "You know...you should take a day off tomorrow, baby..." you whisper out thoughtfully.
Taylor stays quiet for a moment, her soft breaths going against your shirt. "I don't know if I can..." she says quietly, half her face nestled against you.
"You deserve it after this week, at least," you murmur, your face in the meanwhile, ever so slightly brushing against her hair. She thinks about it, her eyes gazing off.
"Okay," she breathes out, slowly letting her shoulders relax, and her body to unwind. She starts to relish in this moment with you, purely of love and care.
"I'll be making breakfast for you tomorrow," you said, but it wasn't a question, it was an info you wanted to share to her, something to be known.
"You don't--" She starts, but gets cut off by you leaning down and nuzzling your nose against hers, gently brushing in a comforting way.
"Shh. I love you. Close your eyes," you whispered, urging her to sleep instead of protesting of who's cooking tomorrow, when you were wanting to take care of her. A small giggle sounds from beneath you, the blonde being a little surprised at your quick shutdown of her worry.
"I love you, too..." she whispers back, slowly closing her eyes as she felt the covers warm up her body, sided with your own warmth of your body, leading her off to sleep, and hopefully to a peaceful day tomorrow.

Everyone told you to stay away from Eddie Munson, he was sin, plain and simple.
"Oh he's bad news don't you know? The attitude, the constant women, stay away my dear if you know what's good for you" that was a rant from your old neighbour " Mrs Fitz who knew all the gossip on the streets.
You had seen him around a few times, he had women falling at his feet, drawn to the don't fuck with me attitude he portrayed.
The tattoos, brown hair in a low bun and those big brown eyes and dimples made your heart skip a beat.
Nobody had ever made you feel like that, so intensely and who set every part of you alight with longing.
You'd watch him from afar, only for him to catch your eye and a little smirk would cross his face, a quirk of his eyebrow that was practically taunting you to come closer.
The first time he talked to you is when you were at the grocery store deciding on what Ben and Jerry's flavour you wanted.
Something fluttered in your stomach as you caught a hint of cologne, leather and the faintest hint of cigarette smoke.
"Personally the cookie dough is my favourite" you turn around and Eddie is staring down at you, his big brown eyes dancing in amusement.
"Oh, hi" Every inch of you is tingling at how close he is to you. He reaches behind you and grabs a tub.
"You know I've caught you looking looking over at me in the garage a few times, come on over and say hello princess. I don't bite...much" he winks and walks away and there's an aching longing stirring in your stomach as you watch him go.
The encounters got more frequent, and more teasing from Eddie and yourself ( which surprised you)
Your next door neighbour, your friends warned he was just after one thing.
They didn't realise how much you craved that one thing, you weren't stupid. You knew what Eddie wanted and you wanted it just as much.
Everyone told you to stay away from him.
Yet you didn't. After much deliberation you had finally decided to take a risk and went to the garage where Eddie worked.
You both knew what was going to happen, the tension was unbearable and only sated the moment his lips met yours.
It was hot and mindblowing, Eddie driving orgasm after orgasm out of you as he fucked you relentlessly.
It was just as incredible for him and that's why you two met up again and again.
The sex was incredible, Eddie pleasured you in ways you had never even dreamed of.
You didn't care what anyone said about him and looked past all the rumours and hearsay.
"You really should stay away from me Princess," he tells you one night as you are entwined in his sheets, head resting on his chest.
This makes you shoot up and gaze at him nervous, stomach sinking. His demeanour is brooding, playful energy gone and his eyebrows furrowed in contemplation.
"I don't want to. Do you want me to?" you murmur and his eyes soften as he looks down at you.
"No, no I really fucking don't but people fare finding out about us and I'm the devil trying to corrupt the sweet, good girl" you roll your eyes.
"What we do is no one's business, Eddie, I'm a grown-ass woman and make my own decisions on who I want to be with and I want you"
The tenseness that surrounds him vanishes and he pulls you close to him, chest to chest and into a searing kiss.
❤️
Eddie had you settled on the table, his head buried between your thighs, you moan and tangle your hands in his hair.
"You're divine" he murmurs and stands up, pulling you close to him, taut against his strong body.
"Beautiful" he groans and presses tender kisses over your neck, to your cheeks.
Something had shifted between you and Eddie, nights previously only about sex had changed. There was still a lot of sex but a lot of talking, of laughter and silliness.
Deep discussions and tender moments between you two that occurred more and more often.
Eddie held you against his chest as he read to you from his or your favourite books, flowers given when you met on a few instances, sweet, thoughtful gestures. Learning to play the guitar from Eddie who patiently taught you, bonding over a shared love of horror movies.
Of course you were falling in love with Eddie, it was hard not to but the feeling of dread in your gut persisted that if he knew about these feelings it would cause him to pull away didn't shift.
Things were different though, deeper, more...
He kisses from the apex of your thigh all the way up your body, over your breasts and neck, leaving love bites and you moaning in pleasure.
"What do you want sweetheart? Want to worship you princess" you kiss him tenderly and look deep into his eyes.
"You, I just want you" his bug brown eyes lock onto yours as he sheaths inside you. The sex is slow, tender and not once does his gaze leave yours.
When you both reach your climax his lips press to your forehead and you lay in a post-coital glow that leaves you breathless, warm and with the realisation that you truly love Eddie Munson.
❤️
Eddie didn't expect to fall in love with you, he avoided that shit like the plague but boy he fell hard for you.
He assumed you'd be a fling just like the others, you'd both move on in a few weeks or he would pull away before things had any chance of being serious.
That's what he usually did and yet the more he got to know you, the more time you spent together he began to fall for you.
At first, he tried to resist the feeling because it scared the shit out of him but the thought of distancing himself from you, ending things made his heart clench painfully.
Serious, rip his heart out kinda pain.
The truth was he thought about you all the time, missed you when you were elsewhere, his pillow smelt of your perfume and he would bury his face into it, inhaling the sweetness, he adored kissing you, making you laugh, hearing your moans or the way you said his name was fucking heavenly.
He was falling deeply, head over heels.
How the fuck was he going to tell you? He had never had this conversation before, never been in love with anyone.
It's not like he was worried you didn't feel the same way, he knew you did. It was more the fact of saying I love you to someone for the first time.
Three words but to him, they were more fucking terrifying than anything he ever encountered in The Upside Down.
You're at his trailer now, dancing along to a song on the radio and he's watching you no doubt with the happiest smile on his face.
You look so fucking cute and he captures you in his arms and kisses you until you're laughing and cuddled into his arms.
You peer up at him, your beautiful eyes full of happiness, shining with adoration.
"I need to tell you something princess" he's nervous as shit and has no idea what he is going to say. All he knows is he needs to say it because the thought of you not being in his life is his worst nightmare.
Not knowing how much he loves you and how you've changed his life in so many ways, that he's the happiest he's been in his life.
"What?" you take his hand and squeeze it reassuringly, it gives him the courage to speak up.
"I love you, his voice is shaky at first, then grows stronger as he repeats himself. I'm so in love with you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I need you to know how fucking special you are, that I want to be with you always, you're who I want to be with for the rest of my life"
The look on your face is something he will never forget, sheer happiness radiating from you.
"I love you too Edward Munson" Those three words might have terrified him to say out loud but hearing them is a different matter.
The wave of ecstasy he feels is amazing. His lips press to yours and he whispers he loves you over and over again.
Huh? Maybe those three words aren't so scary after all.

Alejandro Vargas x Reader
Summary: you are taken into custody after working with Valeria and Alejandro practically begs for you to give him a reason why.
Warnings: angst, talk about blackmail, fluff at the end, a lil spicy at the end by not to much. my absolute shit show of Spanish (my resident Spanish speaker took 6 hours to respond and I don’t trust google.) IS THIS MILITARY ACCURATE OR POLITICALLY ACCURATE? NO BUT LEMME LIVE.
Word count: 5.1k
Also the very end was completely unnecessary and you can skip it if you want but I feel like it add another little happy ending cushion😗
Whaaaat another one so soon??? Crazy.
Genuinely this seemed better in my head but hopefully y’all still like it.
Now where did this come from? Idfk don’t ask my I was gonna write for Gaz next 😭
Your wrists hurt.
That was the only thing you tried to focus on as you stared blankly at the wall in front of you as if looking through the multiple men standing in the room with you, interrogating you.
They had your wrists zip tied together behind the chair. You couldn’t help but rub against the restraint from how tight they were, your skin becoming raw.
It made you wonder if they cuffed you tighter than was necessary. No, you knew they did. Maybe it was because it was Alejandro who restrained you and he let his anger for you bleed through slightly.
“You’re really not gonna talk?” Alejandro demanded, his hands splayed on the table separating the two of you. If you looked in his eyes you knew you’d see the anger he harbored for you but that’s not what you were scared of seeing, you were scared of seeing the confusion, the hurt that would also be there. “Why did you do it?”
He’d been asking you that for the last half hour and yet you still haven’t given him a reason for doing what you did. You didn’t give him a reason as to why you betrayed him and Rudy all those years ago. And why you did it again not even a week ago.
You were taken into custody with Valeria, who was in a separate room from you awaiting her own interrogation but for some reason they really wanted answers from you.
“Let's go. She won’t talk.” Ghost had finally said after a tense moment of Alejandro trying to get you to look him in the eyes but everytime he did it was like you were staring straight through him. “Maybe Valeria will talk.”
Maybe she would. Just to torment you further.
“C’mon Ale.” Rudy muttered softly patting him on the shoulder as he walked out of the room with everyone else.
Alejandro stared at you for a moment longer and in a split second of weakness your eyes flitted up to meet his. His breath caught in his throat but he forced himself to look away and follow the others out.
He was the last to enter the shipping container holding Valeria and after they got the information they needed from her some of the men left. Leaving him, Rudy and Price alone with her.
“Why did she do it?” Alejandro asked her but she tilted her head in mock confusion, legs crossed like she didn’t have a care in the world. “Don’t play stupid Valeria. She wouldn’t have done that on her own accord.”
Finally Valeria snapped, a humorless laugh leaving her lips. “And how would you know? You don’t know anything about her.” Alejandro just glared back at her.
“Can someone please explain to me the relationship between all of you?” Price finally piped in and it was then Alejandro realized he never really explained how he knew you.
Alejandro held his glare on the women before him for a moment longer before turning his head to glance at Price. “Y/n was part of Valeria’s squad. One of the closest friends Valeria had.” Valeria sneered in response.
“Maybe that was why she decided to join me. Ever think of that pendejo? Maybe she wanted to.” Alejandro just shook his head, he could feel his anger rising the more he spoke to her, he knew he had to calm down if he was going to get the answers he wanted. “She was practically my right hand man y’know? Did everything I asked without question.”
“There has to be a reason for it. She wouldn’t have just done that.” Rudy finally spoke up. “She was also my friend in the military. I did know her, she wouldn’t have just done something like that for no reason at all. She wouldn’t have betrayed us-“
“Twice?” Valeria finished, laughing when all three pairs of eyes snapped back to her. “You hear quite a few things when stuck in here. Did you ever think maybe it’s just in her to betray you?”
Alejandro scoffed. He clenched his jaw as he shook his head in disbelief, “no.” He stated as he slammed open the door and walked out.
Time was running out for you to confess your reasons to him. TF141 was already gathering supplies to take off shortly to go after the last missile and Hassan. He needed to know why before he put you in a prison so far away he would never even see a glimpse of you again.
You were still staring off blankly rubbing against your restraint when Alejandro came in again. So loudly it did cause you to glance at him but this time he held your gaze as he walked in closer.
“Explain to me.” He demanded his fists clenched tight. “Explain it to me! Why did you do it?” Your heart hurt at the way his voice had a hint of begging.
When once again he saw your lips were sealed tight he flung the only other chair in the room against a wall. “Puta madre!” He yelled but you didn’t move not even when Rudy and Soap rushed in at the commotion.
Soap had a hand on Alejandro’s chest to stop him from advancing which he just shook off. “Alejandro, maybe you should take a minute to calm down.” He said softly but Alejandro just shook his head.
He opened his mouth to respond when your voice stopped him in his tracks. “I won’t speak to you.” You said it with such conviction before nodding to Rudy. “I’ll only talk to Rudy.”
Alejandro looked between you and his best friend with a look you could almost decipher as hurt or betrayal. Maybe both. “What?” He muttered his gaze still flying back and forth before he took a deep breath and leveled you with a harsh glare. You wouldn’t talk to him then whatever happened to you was no longer his fault. “You don’t get to call him Rudy. Not after everything you’ve done. It’s Rodolfo to you.”
You resisted the urge to roll your eyes, “fine I’ll only speak to Rodolfo. No one else.” Then you went quiet again and shifted your gaze back to the wall. All three men looked at each other before Rudy looked to his friend, almost in question on if it would be okay for him to talk to you.
“Hijo de la puta.” Alejandro shoved soaps hand away as he put an arm out again. “Fuck!” Finally after a few more moments of him cursing under his breath he nodded to Rudy before he quickly made his way out, soap following close behind.
Rudy watched his Colonel go, he knew how much this was hurting him. It was hurting him as well. You and him were pretty close when you served together, you told him everything and he you, so he truly couldn’t believe you would betray them without good reason.
“Alright,” he picked the chair up from the floor and set it down across from you, almost surprised that you met his gaze head on. “Explain.”
“I already know I’m dead Rudy.” He titled his head in confusion, choosing to ignore the way you called him by his nickname. “Either i get killed or i'm going to prison for the rest of my life, I have no reason to confess.”
“Other than to give us peace of mind!” He leaned forward. Rudy was never one who was able to hide his emotions easily, especially around people he cared about. But you were honestly getting tired of the pleading that was in the depths of his and Alejandro’s eyes. “There had to be a reason. The you I knew back then would’ve never left without-“
Suddenly he cut himself off almost like a realization hit him square in the face, chest caving slighty he took a deep breath. “Y/n..”
You could see it on his face, the knowledge he had just come upon. Your shoulders sagged as your cold eyes finally broke to reveal just how tired you were. “They threatened someone I care about Rudy.” Silence engulfed the room while he waited for you to continue. “Someone I love. If I were to ever reveal their plans it’s not my life at risk it’s his.”
“After all this time you still-?” His gaze and posture both softened almost immediately as the answers were slowly being revealed to him.
“Everyday.” You swallowed thickly. “I was never worried about my own life.”
Rudy shifted slightly to bring himself closer to you as if the two of you were gossiping. “Dime.” He all but whispered “Everything.”
You shook your head, “I can’t. The ones threatening him are still alive. I can’t.” You denied, your wrists rubbing tighter against the restraints as you grew more and more anxious.
“Valeria and Graves?” You nodded “y/n. Valeria is going away and graves is dead they won’t get to him.”
You shook your head again a little more forcefully, “I didn’t see Graves with my own eyes I don’t know that he is. And you don’t know Valeria, Rudy. Not the way I do. She has people on the outside. I can't risk it. So kill me, do whatever you want to me just keep him safe.”
“You know I can’t do that.” You could see the way his heart was breaking at even the thought of killing you. “I can protect you, we both can. Just trust me enough to tell me.”
You shut your mouth tight, already making up your mind that you were done with this conversation but Rudy wasn’t going to let you do that. Not after he just started getting answers.
“Fine. I’ll go speak with Valeria, tell her you told me everything.” Your eyes shot open at his words. You pulled tight against your restraints as he stood up.
“No!”
“No?” You shook your head. “Then tell me.”
You searched his eyes to see if he was really going to do what he said but you saw nothing but conviction in them and it made you realize one thing. He had no reason to make promises to you when you broke all of yours.
Sighing, you deflated in your seat. “Valeria, that day on the mountain, already had our squad on her side. I was the last to know because she knew when I found out I would tell you and Ale. She was my best friend. I had no reason to suspect her of anything. Until she held a knife to my throat and told me she would kill him if I didn’t join her. I told her to go ahead, that I would never do it.” The pain of recalling the moments of your betrayal was almost unbearable. “The one person I loved longer than I could remember. His life was in my hands. So the choice was obvious to me. Even if you both hated me in the end at least you both would be alive.”
Rudy took a deep breath as he took in all your words. “And Graves? Why did you side with him?” You gave him a look as if telling him he should already know.
“Come on Rudy.” You scoffed, eyes burning with unshed tears. “You know why. He took me into his custody soon after Valeria and I were arrested. I had information he needed and when I refused to talk he told me what he did to you and everyone else.”
You looked at him again, shaky breaths falling from your lips. “He had him, Rudy. I couldn’t just let Graves hurt him. So yes I told him what I knew in exchange for Alejandro’s safety. I don’t care if that makes me weak, I don’t even care that it means he hates me now. He’s alive. That’s all that matters to me.”
This time when the silence engulfed the room he knew you were well and truly done speaking. Your posture straightened as you sat back against the chair, your gaze back to staring at the wall in front of you.
Rudy let the silence settle for a minute before he rapped his knuckles against the table and let out a deep breath. He pushed his chair in and left without another word, knowing you well enough to know he wasn’t getting anything else out of you.
As soon as he was out of the room, questioning eyes were on him, piercing into his very soul. “Well? Did she say anything?” Alejandro asked frantically, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. But when Rudy stayed silent Alejandro’s shoulders fell. “She really won’t talk? She told you nothing?”
“That’s it Alejandro. We have to load her and Valeria up.” Ghost muttered while the colonel stared at Rudy for another moment, hoping he would say anything. But when he again didn’t he let out a long sigh before nodding his head.
“Sí, I’ll help you.” Alejandro and soap were the ones to go in and get you. Rudy watched from the doorway as the both of you seemed to put a brick wall between you. Neither one acknowledging the other as Soap yanked you up.
You winced slightly when your wrists rubbed against the zip tie again.
Rudy was going to leave it alone. He really was. But then he saw your eyes quickly scan Alejandro as if checking for injuries when he wasn’t looking. Then how Alejandro was still gentle when he grabbed onto your arm to escort you out.
“Colonel, wait.” Your eyes shot over to Rudy who couldn’t seem to keep your gaze. “She did talk. Can we speak privately?”
“Rudy.” You gritted out roughly and Alejandro’s hand tightened its hold on you. “Don’t.”
“Please Ale it’s important.” You swear if looks could kill Rudy would be so far underground. Alejandro looked between you, Rudy and soap before gesturing for soap to let go which he did. Alejandro sat you back in your chair and the both of them followed Rudy out.
“Rodolfo! Don’t you dare!” You screamed after him as the door clicked shut behind them.
You felt like you were going to be sick, after everything you’ve done to keep it a secret it was gonna be exposed just like that because you trusted Rudy. Which in hindsight maybe wasn’t the best idea but after so many years of not seeing a face you trusted your gut just told you to speak to him.
It was so quiet now in your cell. You were so tired, there was no more fight left in you. You followed Valeria around like a puppy on a short leash, doing anything and everything she asked you even when your morals told you it was wrong. One click of her phone had you scrambling to do what she asked.
You learned very early on of all the connections she had. If she wanted something done or someone killed all she had to do was press a few buttons and things would be done.
Alejandros life loomed over you even after all these years. Even after all the time you started losing sight of yourself, your anchor was keeping him safe. Maybe that was why it was so easy for you to give in to Graves. Like a good puppy trained, one threat and you were spilling everything.
It made you sick. You were trained harshly in the military to not give information so easily. To either get rescued or die. But..you couldn’t even consider yourself as part of the military anymore not after going with Valeria.
You could still feel the presence of Graves like he was still right behind you interrogating you. Like your hands were still tied to the chair, breathing through any punches they threw at you until you saw Alejandro being roughly escorted by the room you were in. He didn’t notice you but you noticed him and Graves noticed the drastic change in your eyes.
It took him less then a minute to finally understand what made you tick and immediately he switched his way of doing this. Any time you refused to talk, he would send one of his men to Alejandro’s cell just a few doors down. You’d be able to hear very clearly when he would grunt in pain or when he would fall to the floor and it made your heart ache.
You lasted them doing that only a few more times before you finally gave Graves everything he wanted. Then he left you there for dead, stuck in a room in between 141 and shadow company as both sides shot at each other. The stray bullets landing somewhere near you.
You hoped that one would bounce just right and take you out. But unfortunately the world wouldn’t be so kind and in the next moment Alejandro rounded the corner, stopping short when he saw you.
He had clenched his jaw tight then and grabbed a zip tie he found somewhere. He cut you loose but immediately cuffed your hands together and you couldn’t even put up a fight as he grabbed your arm tightly and started dragging you down the halls with them.
That’s how you ended up here you suppose.
You weren’t even sure how much time had passed since Rudy decided he was going to reveal everything to Alejandro but a few minutes later the door opened quietly and the man himself walked in, lips sealed shut much like yours.
He didn’t say anything as he walked over to you and pulled out his knife. You watched him carefully as he came closer and closer and just when you were about to be worried he cut the zip tie and let your hands loose.
You immediately brought them up to your chest so you could rub away the soreness and keep a close eye on him but he wouldn’t meet your gaze instead he stopped at the door, “make sure she doesn’t do anything. We’re taking Valeria into custody. We'll be back later tonight.” He informed one of his men who nodded sharply.
“Rudy told you everything?” You finally asked and Alejandro turned his head slightly to acknowledge that he heard you but never did respond. Just continued out the door which closed softly behind him. “God damn it Rudy.”
—
When he had said he was going to be back later that night you didn’t expect that to mean some god forsaken hour of the night. You waited as long as you could, pacing your small room after finally being let free but after a while there really was nothing to do but sit and wait.
And you waited. And waited.
Until your eyes couldn’t wait anymore. You rested your head on the table for what you told yourself would just be a short nap but then your eyelids continued to grow heavier and you slept until Alejandro returned.
When he did finally return he sent his own men to bed when he noticed the tired look in their eyes. He really needed to give them a day off soon. “You want me to come with you?” Rudy asked when the last of the men were gone.
Alejandro glanced between him and the door before shaking his head softly. “Nah. This is something I have to confront on my own. Get some rest.” Rudy gave him a short nod and parted ways while Alejandro quietly entered the room, noticing your sleeping form immediately.
It made his chest squeeze to see you so vulnerable. It made him wonder how long it’s been since you felt comfortable enough to even do something as simple as falling asleep.
He quietly moved the other chair closer to you and leaned his head against the table just so he could admire you in peace for a little longer. You really never changed in his eyes.
He watched silently while your eyes fluttered open, taking a minute to adjust to what was in front of you before your eyes widened and you sat straight up. Very much wide awake.
Alejandro let out a sigh as he slowly sat up as well, the once soft expression now wiped from his face. You glanced at him every few seconds as the silence consumed you.
He just watched you and you were starting to wonder if he was ever going to talk. After a long silence that seemed almost like a challenge you finally broke first when you could no longer take his piercing eyes burning holes into you.
“Why didn’t you take me into custody with Valeria?” You knew you could usually hold out longer but it was him staring at you. It was easier to ignore when more of the men were in here because that way you could feel all eyes on you. But his alone was starting to hurt.
Alejandro crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair. “Because I’m not taking you into custody. Rudy did tell me everything.” You looked away from him, nodding. “I can’t accept what you did even if it was you protecting someone you love.”
Your brows furrowed in confusion slightly at his choice of words. “What?” You muttered softly.
“The things you did. Do you think the person you loved would forgive you if they learned you did all of that in the name of protecting them?” Your throat dried as you stared at him. “You killed innocent people.”
“I never killed anyone.” You snapped and his eyebrows raised. He uncrossed his arms to lean against the table again, motioning for you to continue. “Valeria had men for that. I was in charge of moving the shipments. To keep her identity safe.”
Alejandro was quiet and you could see the way he was trying to process your words. “I was put on the front line, my life was at risk but I never killed anyone. How little do you think of me?” At this he glared at you and opened his mouth as if he was going to argue but he just shook his head and stood up to make his way to the door.
“I’ll be sure to let Rudy know.” He stated while he reached for the handle.
“What the hell does Rudy have to do with this?” You demanded as you stood abruptly from your seat. “Did he not tell you everything?”
He paused, “he told me you were doing it to protect someone you loved, he didn’t tell me who. But you only wanted to speak to him so I put two and two together.” You stood there in utter shock. You felt like wringing his neck.
How clueless could he be even after all this time?
“It wasn’t because of Rudy I did all of that.” You clenched your hands tightly at your sides and Alejandro finally turned to you again but didn’t say anything. Another challenging silence fell between you before your anger got the best of you. “How stupid are you Alejandro?”
“Que?” He rounded on you quickly gripping onto your wrist when you tried backing away. He cornered you against the wall closest to you, caging you there as he leveled you with a harsh glare. “You think you can talk to me like that?”
You were almost positive your heart may just stop beating all together. He had your wrist in one hand pressed against the wall and his other gripped your upper arm making sure you stayed there.
You opened your mouth to respond but no words would come out. “Come on, you had so much to say just a few minutes ago.” He sneered, bringing his face closer to yours to where you had no space left. His entire body was practically pushed against you and you could feel every muscle on his body.
You only stood in shock for a second more before you returned his glare. “Yes because what makes you think it was Rudy?!” You felt his hold loosen just ever so slightly but his glare never let up. “Why for all these years have you continued to be blind?”
“Then help me see. Just fucking tell me the reason.” He pushed against you slightly like he was trying to shove you into the wall more
“Rudy already told you everything.” You spat bringing your face just that much closer. “I can’t help you see something that’s been right in front of you this whole time!”
Alejandro tsked before his body was gone and he was already several steps towards the door again but he didn’t pause at the handle, it looked almost like he needed to put distance between you both.
“I want to hear it from your mouth!” He shouted, throwing his hands up in exasperation. “Why is it so hard for you to tell me? Haven’t you trusted me before?”
“This has nothing to do with trust.” You rubbed at the wrist he had in his grasp. “I’m doing it to protect-“
“Protect who?!” He took a few steps closer to you again
“It doesn’t matter-“
“Who did you do this for?! Who did you throw your whole life away for?!”
“I did it for you, pendejo!”
Your breathing was heavy as you stared at him. The confession was like a bomb going off in the middle of a battlefield. Something that was so loud it left your ears ringing from the aftermath.
Before you could even register, Alejandro had crossed the space again in a few steps. He wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you into him while his other hand went to cup the side of your head, hands entangling in the strands of your hair as he brought you to him.
He kissed you heatedly, keeping you tight against him when you made a noise of surprise. Even still you couldn’t help but notice how kissing him in real life couldn’t ever compare to all the dreams you’ve allowed yourself to have.
You felt the roughness of his beard against your own face as you brought your hands up to his chest where you could feel his heart beating just as hard as yours.
He pushed you back against the wall as he moved from your lips to leave heated kisses down your neck forcing you to arch into him with a moan. The hand on your waist wrapped around the small of your back to keep you in that arch against him. You could feel the heat of his palm through the layers of clothes you had on and it made you want more.
“Ale.” You whimpered and immediately felt him stop. He pulled away slowly to look you in the eyes which you were sure were hazy from the moment. “What?”
He had a look in his eyes you couldn’t place. Something so much deeper than you were expecting. He took in a shaky breath, “I didn’t think I was ever going to hear you say my name like that again.” He whispered almost breathless.
The hand in your hair moved down to cup your jaw softly while the two of you kept eye contact. “Rudy told you everything didn’t he?”
Instead of answering he kissed you again this time softer before pulling back only an inch to mutter his next request against your bruised lips. “Stay with me. We can protect you.” He felt you take a sharp breath. “I can protect you.”
“Ale-“
“Let me protect you mí amor.”
Your hands clenched against his chest and looked away from his intense gaze. “Your higher ups wouldn’t allow that to happen.”
“If you’re worried about 141 and Sheperd don’t. Shepherd is AWOL he can’t tell me shit on what to do with you.” He informed and you could feel his hand start rubbing your back soothingly. “You gave up everything to protect my life. Let me do this for you now.”
You searched his eyes looking for anything that would tell you he’s lying but there was nothing but love. “Okay.” You said softly and could practically feel his grin before he closed the gap once again and brought you to him.

Months later you would find yourself in his room on base while he was away training. He practically forced you to stay with him and by that you meant he held you tight in his embrace anytime he was with you and it made you never want to leave. And he never made you.
You found out that Alejandro loved you as well, since the beginning. You remembered when you finally broke down in his arms one night when he admitted that he never stopped loving you.
You apologized over and over but he just cradled you in his arms and whispered sweet compliments in Spanish until you calmed down and he carried you to the bed you shared and held you even closer for the rest of the night.
He wasn’t lying when he said he was going to protect you. He did everything in his power to protect you even from your own mind.
It’s all you could think about as you roamed his room, wearing one of his shirts while you cleaned. You were so lost in thought you didn’t hear his door open and close softly until arms wrapped around you and you were pulled into a sturdy chest.
“Hola, mi amor.” Alejandro kissed your neck softly, smiling when he felt you melt into his arms. “Is this my shirt?”
You felt his hand grab onto the hem of the shirt while he continued kissing you neck. You titled your head away to give him more access and gave him a small hum in confirmation.
“You should wear it more often.” He murmured against your neck while he laid his palm flat against your stomach to pull you closer to him. His lips traveled up to the shell of your ear where he whispered, “come to bed with me. I’m so tired.”
You laughed softly. This whole thing felt like a dream. You didn’t know how you got so lucky for him to let you stay like this.
Though it was a slow process and he was still working through forgiving you for everything and you were working through everything you had been through you truly don’t think you have ever been happier.
“I’m cleaning.” He groaned when you started unwrapping his arms but he just grabbed your waist and twisted you around so you were facing each other. “Ale.”
“I’m just relishing in your presence Princesa.” He smirked while trailing his fingers down the side of your bare thighs.
You chuckled again and kissed his lips shortly, smirking when he chased after your lips for more. “Well you can relish in it still by helping me.” You stepped away and he groaned.
“Okay okay.” But he still couldn’t keep his eyes off you the whole time.
