LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 4, Wave 1, Poll 7
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and round here.
Wei Wuxian-The Untamed / Mo Dao Zu Shi
Qualifications:
Goes through a somewhat unethical organ transplant (in that the person he is giving the organ to doesn't realize that's what's going on) where he gives up his "golden core." This is like his center of power and by giving it up, not only is he not able to do most of the more "magic" things he could do before, but he's also noticeably physically weaker and gets injured much more easily (and takes longer to recover) as well as faints more often (iirc he only faints once pre-golden core removal and that was after sustaining major injuries and going on for a significant time without any healing while also fighting and traveling). Like he finds ways around it and invents new methods so that he can still do some things that he did before, just via a very different method. In the show we don't really see any characters who aren't cultivators, or at least part of that world, so Wei Wuxian is like the only character we really get to see without a golden core.
Also gotta say that this boy is severely depressed. Like "I'm-going-to-ask-my-doctor-friend-to-perform-a-mutliple-day-long-surgery-on-myself-in-which-I-will-be-awake-where-she'll-rip-out-the-core-of-my-being-and-transplant-it-into-my-adopted-brother-who-I'll-make-sure-never-finds-out-what-happened-even-though-he'll-come-to-hate-me" depressed. he has no value for his own life other than what he can give to others, even if it's his own body. like I think some fans unfairly classify him as being insane when he's really just depressed as all hell and having the worst possible things happen to him one after another and every time he breaks down it causes more trouble and usually people end up dying because of him.
Mod note: I find it a bit funny that the qualifications are so long and don’t once mention how he qualifies as LGBTQ+
Propaganda:
https://youtu.be/swbXAVADjxY ^ok this clip kinda explains the whole thing better (and obvs spoilers)
https://youtu.be/2wO5nsnkSBk ^and this video is just for fun but it's a little thing about Wei Wuxian & Jiang Cheng because their relationship makes me unwell
Additional Qualifications/Propaganda by @transparent-internet-maker
Kinda surprised ADHD!Wei Wuxian isn't included I thought that was a popular hc. There are several signs: He seems to forget a lot of things, but at the same time he clearly remembers other things that happened a long time ago. He invented a. lot. of things. His mind is almost never where he physically is and he's really smart in that thinks-way-too-much-out-of-the-box-in-a-short-time way. (1/2)
Then there is the fact that he's actually knowledgable, more than most of the others at times, but we see him doing whatever else he wants to instead of studying more often than not. The inventions point and this put together hint at him not being focused and having hyperfixations. And the general view of not studious but still smarter than everyone else just clear adhd I think. NOT trying to hate anyone, I thought I'd just mention this since I've seen a lot of adhd wwx.
Yoite-Nabari no Ou
Qualifications:
Heavily heavily coded relationship with another boy, canonically intersex and can be read as trans. (implied to be cafab) Suffers from flashbacks, emotional dysregulation, depersonalization due to abuse and neglect. Also terminally ill and progressively loses his sight/taste/hearing and has more trouble getting around and staying awake. Super autism coded, for that matter. To me. And many of the fans actually.
Propaganda:
A very sad boy, in a story about very sad boys fighting for self determination and learning the importance of community. He's a shinobi and can kill people by manipulating their lifeforce from the inside, but he also likes sweets and baseball and mathematics and he communicates like a shy, neglected cat. He's also named after someone's cat. Extremely good character written by an aroace and x-gender author
Anything Else?:
He is the bestest boy ever and should win this tournament by a landslide if the series were more well known

okay so, idea, {Not NSFW nope nada STAY AWAY †}
So I'm thinking harbingers with ADHD or bipolar reader?
And reader is out of their meds for the week.
[for bipolar, I'm think when on their meds they have a lot of energy is like a giant puppy. But when their out, just a tired cat. {Metaphors are funnnn} and so on :)]
[ for ADHD, when without their meds, reader begins to organize everything and makes sure it's perfect!! Heheh :3]
And maybe the harbingers have different reactions or ways to help?
{you don't have to answer at all, I just thought it was an interesting concept in my head lol}
Hi,Anon!
It's ok,you don't need to emphasize the nsfw as this blog is purely sfw only, so all request will be read and made as sfw
--
For the request, i have established that i am unable to do any reader with mental disorders i do not know too well.
Knowing =/= experience it, such disorder is a spectrum and what the experiences people have with the disorders may differ from one other.
I do not want to create something that may be stereotyping, misrepresenting or even worse, creating bad view/idea on people who already have it in their life.
I hope you understand, i'm looking forward for your next request anon!

I've always been a true believer of medic mikey and I've been thinking a lot of 2012 medic mikey today
so here's a bunch of thoughts about it from my twt if it feels weirdly paced and chopped it's because i just copy and pasted from different posts
Mikey probably started with the want of learning more about medicine after leo ends up in a coma.
Kind of like a brutal awakening that his older brothers are not invincible
until that point he probably helped both donnie and leo with basic first aid, since in 2012, the brothers all seem to know some sort of basic medical knowledge to a certain point (raph carries a first aid with him in half shell heroes meaning they all probably have their own).
Mikey probably sees leo burdened with his father's shadow and the weight of being the leader and letting everyone down, raph so worried about them at all times and so angry at himself for not being able to protect his family better, donnie mostly always stressed out. with no sleep. always having to FIX something and all this probably make mikey realize that putting being a medic on top of any of his brothers would just be for the worst so he decides to take it into himself to specialize in that part.
Mikey would ask help for getting more information to study about medicine and turtle health veterinary from both donnie and april (april would love to help +she can get more physical aid like books from libraries and such while donnie is the one brother who doesn't actually mind what mikey asks him and also actually answers his questions with facts). While studying he most probably would forget a lot about the scientific or actual names for different things so he would just make up his own designations because that way it makes sense to him (his brothers would all learn later on about mikey's own system perhaps because it's just them and it's not like mikey is going to go work at a hospital so it doesn't really affect them much).
Being the group medic just would fit him so well because hes very smart and not squeamish about A LOT of things in comparison to his brothers (throwback to when donnie did said he was actually squeamish in the show) so donnie probably would also encourage him in his studies and even try to help him to retain info with different methods that actually work with Mikey (because of adhd brain) like making references to his favorite show or comics while learning medical info to make it easier for him to focus.
The fact that mikey is the most perceptive of his brothers and also the one to keep a cool head when all of the other ones are losing it, would be factors that help him while being the medic as well.
Mikey being the smallest one and fastest of his brothers so hes probably the only one who could make it to any of them in record time if needed be.
I feel like, since 2012 mikey is the one brother who uses his skateboard the most, he probably would start bringing his skate strapped to his shell everywhere because he can use it as an emergency medical stretcher to move his brothers around in the case he was not able to carry them around physically
maybe even begging leo for a longboard later on because they are bigger which, again, could help him in emergency situations.
Thinking also on how leo probably didn't really talk much about the healing hands technique with his brothers so mikey probably unlocked the healing hands in his own way and in a really high stress situation where the sheer willing force was just wanting to help his family.
Mikey would definitely sing staying alive while giving cpr: muttering the lyrics along in a frenetic way while punching his brother's chest, because of their plastrons, and trying to get him to breath again all while listening his other brothers yells be deafened by the sound of lasers pass by over their heads.
And after being home and safe, he'd give everyone those lollipops right after quickly making sure none of them are dealing with a concussion (he is but hes fine, he promises).
Extra: some replies in twt that i also wanted to share here
#MANY THOUGHTS BRAIN FULL.#i think that's all and i didnt miss anything from the big ass thread i wrote but i might be wrong....#everyone is so lucky im not a writer.#tmnt 2012#tmnt mikey#tmnt michelangelo#fer silly twt rambling

possibility - fred weasley (part 2)
pairing: fred weasley x slytherin!reader
(part 01 here) (more HP fics here!)
summary: being friends with (y/n) has become Fred's biggest challenge.
note: They are in their last year at Hogwarts, so, for purposes, they are 18; besides, the whole canon of the book (it would've been Order of the Phoenix) is mostly nonexistent here.
the reader: can be interpreted as someone with ADHD; she loves literature and she has no friends.
words: 5000+
Enjoy!
Ginny Weasley was a charm, even at the young age of fifteen.
Being her older brothers around, Fred and George tried their best not to ignore her and make her feel welcomed and heard whenever needed. Most of the time, that was an easy task. But, now that she was getting older, it was harder to listen to her complaints.
“She had no right to say that to me!” she whined, angrily snorting. Her red hair moved with her face as she gestured. “She said it in front of Harry, for Godric’s sake!”
George immediately cast a sidelong glance at Fred. It was no secret that Ginny harboured a strong affection for Harry Potter; her infatuation was apparent to anyone with a Weasley surname, and it was common knowledge throughout Gryffindor House. Only Harry himself seemed oblivious to it. However, as Ginny grew older, her feelings seemed to intensify, and Fred frequently tuned her out, lost in his thoughts, while George assumed the role of counsellor. On that particular day, though, it appeared their roles had been reversed.
“Did he hear what she said?” George inquired gently, addressing his younger sister.
“I believe so,” Ginny responded, her voice lowering as she contemplated the encounter.
"Well, how did he react?" Fred leaned closer, although there was a table separating them from Ginny. The dinner table of Gryffindor was crowded with students, so leaning closer was needed for better hearing.
“He didn't,” Ginny replied, her tone a mixture of confusion and uncertainty. “He was with Hermione, and they were engrossed in their conversation. We exchanged glances, that's all.”
“Could it be possible he was simply aware of your presence and not actually listening to your conversation?” Fred suggested, raising an inquisitive eyebrow.
Ginny averted her gaze, reluctant to meet her older brother's eyes. “There's a chance,” she admitted, albeit reluctantly.
“So, he didn't really hear it," Fred remarked, leaning back slightly. “Potter’s a man. If he had heard something and something that involved his name, he would’ve reacted.”
George turned his head to face Fred. “All men, you reckon?”
“Absolutely,” Fred confirmed with a carefree shrug.
But George was out for blood.
“Let's say, for argument's sake, that (y/n) mentioned you. Would you turn to look and react?” George asked, instantly capturing Ginny's attention. She was well aware of (y/n), the enigmatic Slytherin who struggled to maintain friendships but seemed to have formed a unique bond with Fred.
“Sure,” Fred replied, not realising the mischief in his twin's eyes. “I mean, it depends on what she'd be saying about me.”
“Does it really matter?” Ginny chimed in.
“It doesn't,” George answered his sister, then returned to Fred. “But how would you respond to her?”
“She's my friend, Georgie,” Fred teased affectionately, using his twin's nickname. “I'd man up and approach her, saying something like ‘hey, what were you saying about me?’ and get it over with.”
“Get what over with?” Ginny prodded, leaning in closer to Fred.
“Probably turning that friendship into a relationship,” George answered instead of Fred. “I mean, if he were to really man up.”
Fred jabbed his twin with playful force, feeling irked by the insinuations.
“What's wrong with (y/n) and I just being friends?” Fred retorted defensively.
“Nothing,” George shrugged nonchalantly. “She's my friend, too,” he pointed out, “but I don’t dream in my sleep with her doing stuff to me in bed.”
This time, Fred slapped his twin's arm more forcefully. “I've never had a dream about her!”
Ginny burst into laughter, feeling fortunate to sit beside her brothers during this comical exchange.
“You've dreamt about (y/n)?” she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. “What was she doing in your dream? Kissing?” Ginny lowered her voice, casting furtive glances around the room before adding, “Or something more?”
Fred tried to brush off Ginny's teasing with a dismissive wave of his hand despite the hints of a crimson blush creeping onto his freckled cheeks. He shook his head and muttered something about dreams and absurd fantasies.
Ginny and George exchanged a knowing look before George leaned closer to his twin. “Fred, I've known you my entire life, and I can read you like an open book,” he began in a hushed tone. “You're smitten with (y/n).”
Despite his attempts to appear composed, Fred couldn't help but squirm in his seat. “That's nonsense, George. She's just a friend, and I don't think of her that way.”
Ginny chimed in with a playful grin. “Oh, come on, Fred. We've all seen the way you look at her. It's like you're under some kind of love spell.”
Fred glanced around the bustling Great Hall, feeling the weight of the conversation. He had a reputation to uphold, which included being a mischievous troublemaker and a skilled prankster. The idea of admitting his feelings for (y/n) went against the grain of his carefree image. Besides whatever those “feelings” were, they were more complicated than he wanted to admit.
Instead of confessing his feelings, Fred squared his shoulders and made a decision.
“(y/n), she’s a tough lass,” he started saying, “I'm not going to pursue her romantically. I don't want to complicate things for her.”
Ginny and George shared another look, this time tinged with surprise. Fred was known for his mischievous tendencies but rarely showed such maturity and thoughtfulness.
“What are you going to do, then?” Ginny asked, intrigued by her older brother's newfound wisdom.
Fred flashed a determined smile. “I want to show her she can have genuine friendships, so that’s what I’ll be for her, no matter what.”
Ginny exchanged a glance with George, both impressed and proud of the transformation they had witnessed in their older brother.
“That’s actually… very nice of you, brother,” Ginny said, choked with herself for ever uttering those words.
“Thank you,” Fred shook his head down.
It was a well-known fact that (y/n) struggled to form connections with her peers. While she often blended into the background amidst bustling classrooms and boisterous mealtimes, those who paid attention could discern that, in the end, (y/n) was very much alone. Fred just hoped she wasn’t lonely, too.
And if she was (and, let’s face it, if he were to bet, that would be his horse), he would be her friendly shoulder. Perhaps with his initiative, she would open up to have other friends. But that would sadly mean he should suppress those dangerous feelings (and dreams) about her. He understood that showing romantic interest might deter her from nurturing other friendships or, worse, create an unhealthy dependency on him.
While many boys at Hogwarts might desire such unwavering devotion, Fred cherished his freedom and wanted the same for (y/n). He believed that, given the chance, she too could revel in the joy of genuine friendships.
She could feel his penetrating gaze like a warm breeze brushing the back of her neck. It was a peculiar sensation. Since she had unofficially accepted the title of “Fred Weasley's friend,” (y/n) had begun experiencing inexplicable emotions regarding him.
Sensing his eyes on her was just one of her peculiar talents. Her personal favourite was her knack for anticipating pranks by the twins; her gaze would instinctively find its way to the impending victim.
Leaving her Slytherin common room, she hadn't expected to encounter Fred. However, when she turned around, hoping to spot him, he was nowhere to be seen.
“Odd,” she thought, clutching her book closer to her chest. It wasn't a hefty tome; it was, in fact, a notebook where she jotted down ideas and penned the initial versions of scenes that might one day become her debut novel.
While the underwater ambience of the Slytherin common room often served as a wellspring of inspiration, that day seemed to be an exception. Hence, (y/n) had decided to grab her notebook and her trusty pen (yes, a pen; she staunchly refused to compose her muggle-inspired stories with a quill and inkwell) and head to the Quidditch pitch in search of inspiration.
During free periods or after classes, Quidditch practices were almost always happening. (y/n) hoped to find an eager and spirited team on the field to keep her writing juices flowing.
She dared to look around again before abandoning the idea that Fred Weasley was following her. So, confirming the absence of red hair, she resumed her pace.
To her relief, the Quidditch pitch was packed with a team of blue shirts. Ravenclaws weren't known for their blood on the field, not as much as Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs, but they would suffice. (y/n) selected a spot in the bleachers, tucked away in a corner high enough to observe everything but hidden from the spotlight. A few people were around, mostly students, but not in uniform, so she couldn't tell if they were opponents watching the Ravenclaws train or just supportive friends.
As she settled in, she opened her notebook, placing it on her lap, ready to transcribe the imaginary world blossoming in her mind. The words flowed effortlessly from her pen, her gaze seldom shifting from the training session. The sounds of players in action served as the ideal backdrop to her writing.
Without her realising it, the scene had shifted from focusing on battle, blows and gushing blood to an intimate moment between nameless protagonists. (y/n) had yet to fully develop their backstory, but they always made their presence known when she ventured into the realm of fairies: a tall, strong lad and a quick-witted young lady.
In the scene she was crafting, they bid each other farewell before venturing into an ongoing battle. Although their words hinted at sadness, they teased one another playfully, creating a certain ambivalence that (y/n) found challenging to convey.
She had just finished writing down the boy's response when a voice behind her remarked, “I'd change that. No battle-hardened lad would utter something so… girlish.”
(y/n) didn't even flinch. She had sensed Fred Weasley's presence earlier, and his sudden appearance was merely confirmation that she wasn't descending into madness or becoming paranoid. She felt a flicker of annoyance at the idea that he had been peeking at her notes, but with no Time-Turner to reverse the situation, she decided to take his opinion on board. Fred's perspective on how a boy would speak could enrich her literary endeavour.
“Hello, Weasley," she greeted him, her eyes on him as he gracefully hopped from the seat behind her to the vacant one beside her.
Fred, however, didn't offer a greeting in return. “Why are you here?” he cut right to the chase.
With a casual shrug, she answered, “Felt uninspired in my common room.” She closed her notebook, a sense of finality in the gesture.
“Of course you did,” he quipped with bitterness. “That place stinks of rich kids and Death Eaters.”
Rolling her eyes, (y/n) couldn't help but feel a tinge of exasperation.
Fred had a peculiar tendency to launch into rants about the Slytherin House, a habit she never entirely understood. She was, without a doubt, a Slytherin through and through. She couldn't imagine belonging to any other house. Ambition coursed through her veins in her academic pursuits and aspirations for a successful writing career. Loyalty to her family was non-negotiable, and luckily for her, her parents weren't affiliated with the Dark Lord, making it easy to stay loyal to them.
In fact, she'd once pointed out to Fred that he'd make a perfect Slytherin himself. His ambitions were evident, especially with the joke shop he and George planned to open. His loyalty to his family, a prominent trait he shared with most Slytherins, was equally unmistakable. His lineage was as pure as anyone's at Hogwarts, if not more so. Her own mother was a half-blood witch. Yet, when she suggested this to him, he'd responded cheeky. “But red is my colour,” he'd declared, putting an end to their discussion.
“Actually,” (y/n) retorted, returning her focus to the ongoing discussion, “Slytherin’s dorms are very inspiring. But not to a battle scene; for that, I needed the smell of sweaty and strategy.”
Fred raised an eyebrow, suggesting that he found her comment rather amusing. “Leave it to the Ravenclaws to provide the strategy, eh?”
Not having an immediate response, (y/n) fell into a contemplative silence. Her eyes remained fixed on the Quidditch field, where the apparent captain of the team was engaging in a heated exchange with one of the beaters.
“So, about your writing,” Fred spoke softly, as if dipping his toes into uncertain waters, “I like it.”
Her gaze snapped to the red-haired boy, curiosity brimming in her eyes. She was always eager to hear both compliments and critiques of her work. To her, praise was uplifting, but constructive criticism was pure gold. She wondered what else he had to say.
“The battle scene sounds absolutely brilliant,” he continued as if reading her unspoken query. “Although I must admit, I missed a few lines; you write too fast, and your cursive is kind of weird.”
(y/n) showed her teeth in embarrassment. She was not used to being complimented about her cursive handwriting, so it wasn’t a surprise that Fred complained about it, but it was still embarrassing to hear about it, especially from a boy with no better penmanship.
“But you had one more complaint,” she reminded him, noticing Fred was silent.
He gulped, swallowing dry and hard.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “The lad there. You don’t know your men.”
“Excuse me?” (y/n) raised her eyebrows, and her voice unintentionally rose in volume.
Fred quickly raised his hands, a peace offering, his intent clearly non-confrontational. (y/n) relaxed a bit, realising she'd somewhat overreacted.
“Did you ever pay attention to how I talk? Or George or Lee?” Fred asked, turning his knees towards hers. Thanks to their sitting position, he towered over her, but less than usual.
Since she'd accepted her friendship with Fred, she'd inevitably become acquainted with the others in his circle, including Lee Jordan.
“Listen,” Fred sighed, “most men aren't as eloquent as your character. They tend to be a bit more straightforward. Your 'lad' speaks in a way that's... well, a bit flowery.”
“He’s, like, from the sixteenth century,” (y/n) pointed out, defending her nameless protagonist.
“Right,” Fred said, tilting his head. “But that doesn’t actually change anything. No men would say,” and at that, he reached for her notebook without asking permission and opened it to the exact page she had been writing on. “No men would say, ‘I shall miss your sunkissed voice if this ends badly’.”
Placing her hands on her hips, (y/n) arched an eyebrow. “So, how would you put it, then?”
Fred pondered the question, trying to envision the moment in (y/n)'s book. He was not a writer and lacked the skills to be an actor, so he had to re-read the scene to know the rightful reply. He looked back down at the page before returning his gaze to her.
“Don't die,” he suggested, playing the character so well, lowering his tone to sound charming and seductive.
Unfortunately, for (y/n), her heart did a somersault in response. The scene Fred had just read involved the characters' parting words, and the simplicity of “Don't die” carried a powerful weight. It conveyed the protagonist's profound desire for his female counterpart to survive, for her loss would leave a void that could never be filled. The moment's essence was encapsulated in those two words, and Fred had delivered them perfectly.
Not that (y/n) had been planning to meet an untimely end anytime soon, but after Fred's persuasive delivery, she found herself inclined to postpone any thoughts of it indefinitely.
Observing that she hadn't averted her gaze from his eyes and noting the rapid rise and fall of her chest, (y/n) decided to seize the book from his hand swiftly.
“That was ridiculous,” she remarked, attempting to dissipate the moment's intensity with humour.
“That's how I would say it,” Fred nonchalantly shrugged, retracting his knees from their near-contact and turning his attention back to the Quidditch field.
“And who told you my protagonist is based on you, Weasley?” she quipped, tilting her head and arching an eyebrow.
Instead of being hurt by her tone of voice — this was the reaction she anticipated and expected and perhaps wanted — Fred smiled teasingly.
"Well, if you create a character described as handsome, muscular, silky-haired, and unmistakably tall, it's quite obvious to any reader that it's me," he retorted playfully.
Her mouth fell open in mock astonishment at his audacity. With an exaggerated flourish, she dropped the book onto her lap.
“And, of course, you're the female protagonist,” he continued, his smirk growing wider. “Hot-headed and cranky, who else could it be?”
(y/n)'s face contorted into a permanent grimace.
“(y/n), are you writing a fanfic about us?” he inquired, leaning closer into her personal space.
That was the final straw. (y/n) propelled herself to her feet, fueled by her irritation and fixed Fred with an accusatory finger.
“Listen here, Fred. The day I write a book about us, you can call me insane.”
Fred chuckled heartily, clearly relishing her reactions. (y/n) couldn't fathom why he found it all so amusing. Her book centred around fairies battling to regain political power; it had nothing to do with their personal lives. Fred was the one acting irrationally, suggesting it was some sort of “fanfic” and daring to entertain the notion that she would include flattering descriptions of him within the story.
If what he suspected were true, that she harboured a crush on him, then he shouldn't have found the idea humorous. Even if it were indeed fiction, he should have been repelled. (y/n) couldn't help but think that he might be secretly pleased with the notion, which irked her further. She didn't have a crush on him!
She turned on her heel with an exasperated huff and stormed away from the bleachers. However, just before she could escape earshot, she heard Fred's voice, laced with a hint of melody.
“Don't dieee!”
She was on the Quidditch pitch stands again. Only this time, there was an actual match on the field, not just a training session.
The Slytherin team zipped through the air on their latest-generation broomsticks, an annual tradition courtesy of Draco Malfoy's father. They faced off against Gryffindor, known for its fiercely competitive players. Whenever the green and red houses clashed, it was always a breathtaking spectacle.
(y/n) was gladly sitting next to Lee Jordan, narrating the game animatedly. Even when the Slytherins executed brilliant plays, his narration remained spirited. He occasionally mumbled comments about some Slytherin players but also praised them when deserved.
Only three days had passed since Fred Weasley had playfully accused her of basing her book's protagonist on him. Since then, they had seen each other and talked, but the book's topic hadn't resurfaced.
“Wow!” Lee's voice broke her concentration. “The Slytherins are really going after our beaters! I mean, sorry, they're going after the Gryffindor beaters!”
Engrossed in the match, (y/n) confirmed Lee's observation. The Slytherin beaters were prioritising targeting the Gryffindor beaters over the usual strategy of interfering with the opposing Seeker. (y/n) knew little about Quidditch's strategy, so she couldn't discern whether this was a wise move by her fellow Slytherins. However, she grew concerned for the Gryffindor beaters, who happened to be Fred and George.
She rose from her seat, her eyes following the twins' every move.
“The crowd is getting worried!” Lee Jordan's voice resonated, and (y/n) turned to face him. He raised his shoulders innocently as if to say he was just calling it as he saw it. Before she could reprimand him, Lee resumed narrating the game. “Oh, no! They're targeting Fred Weasley. Both beaters against one guy; not fair!”
Fred Weasley's name caused (y/n) to search the sky anxiously, her eyes scanning the field for his broom. The atmosphere was tense. She had attended the match in neutral black attire and sat beside Lee, determined not to favour any team. Although she had recently become acquainted with half of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, she couldn't help but feel allegiance to her house. Despite her intentions, the sight of Fred being targeted stirred worry within her. She left Lee's side and hurried down the bleacher stairs, seeking a better vantage point of the unfolding events on the pitch.
“And Fred's been hit! Fred Weasley is hit. Was it fair?” Lee's voice reached her ears as she made her way down. “Oh, I see. Oliver Wood, Gryffindor’s captain, is asking for a break, a time-out. Let’s give them ten minutes to regroup. We'll be back shortly.”
(y/n) turned back against the field and found Lee’s eyes through the crowd. She was grateful for the encouragement he silently offered with a nod. It was the nudge she needed to practically leap down the remainder of the bleacher steps, racing toward the Gryffindor Changing Room.
Luckily for her, the stands were consistently high, so in the actual field, there was nobody. She quickly reached the right spot but hesitated behind the curtain doors, listening intently. Oliver was addressing the team, urging them to regain their focus. Harry only needed to catch the Golden Snitch, and with Oliver as the Keeper, they would fend off the Slytherins from scoring further.
Summoning her courage, (y/n) poked her head through the curtain doors.
“Fred?” she murmured, but her voice carried to all the players.
(y/n) saw Fred, all sweaty, squeezing a water container over his face, drinking only half of it. “(y/n)?” he asked, confused by her presence.
She took the opportunity to step fully into the Changing Room. The other players exchanged knowing glances but remained silent; they understood she wasn't an enemy. (y/n) had interacted with Oliver, Angelina, and, of course, Harry Potter himself. Their glances spoke more of intrigue as if they were silently questioning the stage of her relationship with Fred.
Fred handed his now-empty water bottle to George, who appeared equally puzzled about what to do with it. Fred then retrieved his bat from the floor and approached (y/n), who remained fixed in her spot, somewhat intimidated by her unfamiliar surroundings.
“Are you okay?” she asked, her worry palpable. “Are you hurt?”
Fred kept moving closer. “I'm fine,” he assured her.
She nodded, darting over Fred’s shoulder, peeking at George. “And you, George? Are you alright?”
George nodded affirmatively just as Oliver cleared his throat.
“Well, let's regroup outside,” Oliver instructed the team. With that, the players rose from their seats in a flash.
They left the Changing Room, leaving only Fred behind, and George was the last one to go, for he lingered a bit, moving with deliberate slowness. His eyes remained fixed on Fred and (y/n), and as the others filed out, it became evident that Oliver had called them out to grant the pair some much-needed privacy.
As the room emptied, (y/n) seized the chance to scrutinise Fred's face. The water had washed away the grime, revealing his striking features. He looked almost dishevelled, his heart beating fast, and a rosy hue tinged his cheeks. His damp hair was in complete disarray, the ends defiantly pointing in all directions. He seemed to sense her gaze on his unruly locks and ran a hand through them to tame them, achieving only partial success.
“Are you sure you're okay?” Her voice was soft, carrying genuine concern as she narrowed the gap between them, her fingertips yearning to touch Fred's face. “Lee mentioned you got hit.”
Her gentle touch seemed to kindle a fire within Fred. His face flushed, and he stuttered slightly, turning his head to the right when she reached for him.
“Where did the Bludger hit you?” she inquired, studying his face for any signs of injury. His features appeared unscathed, although his cheeks radiated with warmth.
“It grazed my right ear,” he replied, and she instinctively turned his face further to examine the ear. It was only slightly reddened, no worse than the rest of his face.
“I'm sorry they're targeting you,” she uttered with a slow breath, her concern deepening. Her hands left his face, but Fred turned his chin to face her.
“It's part of the game,” Fred shrugged.
Fred had never seen (y/n) like this before. After weeks of their friendship, this was the first time he had witnessed her express genuine concern.
“I know,” she sighed. “That doesn’t mean it’s fair. Or easy to watch.”
“It’s not a battle,” he noted, gingerly alluding to her book. “No one’s gonna die.”
“But some are going to get hurt,” she stated, her gaze fixed on his ear, her worry etched across her features.
Fred loomed over her, his taller stature requiring her to tilt her head upward to meet his eyes and see his facial expressions. Usually, she appreciated that he was taller, but at that moment, it seemed to create an unwelcome distance.
An unspoken question lingered in (y/n)’s mind: What was she doing there? Why had she hurried to the Changing Room?
“Well,” she cleared her throat, avoiding his gaze, “if you're okay, then I should head back. You know, to watch you win or whatever.”
He smiled at her awkwardness, a not uncommon sight when it came to (y/n). He'd witnessed her awkwardness before, often finding it endearing. She sometimes struggled with conversation, especially with other people, leading to uncertain moments. Fred couldn't help but find those moments rather cute.
“You're not cheering for your own house?” he inquired, the corners of his mouth hinting at an impending smirk.
She pressed the inner corner of her mouth with her teeth, pondering her response. “Not when they're being unfair.”
“Three days ago, I swear you wouldn't have said it's unfair if they were targeting me,” he finally allowed that smirk to surface. It was the second subtle reference to her book, or at least a hint at that day, making (y/n) shy.
“Sometimes I want to hit you, Weasley,” she teased, her tone playful despite her lingering concern.
Fred chuckled, closing the distance between them, if that was even possible.
“Do it,” he taunted, his eyes dancing mischievously.
Her gaze met his, and she couldn't help but wonder if he was genuinely asking for it. She certainly had her reasons to want to hit him. First, for teasing her relentlessly. Second, for insisting on being her friend. Third, for involving her with all of his other friends. And now, that — whatever that was. She was eager to touch him, just not to do it in the form of a slap.
Something else fluttered in her stomach, and she hated it, and she hated Fred for it.
“Come on, (y/n),” he teased again, his smirk widening.
Her frustration reached its peak. How dare he jest with her after all the concern she had shown? She had never rushed to find someone before and loathed how unappreciative he seemed.
Without thinking, (y/n) closed the distance between them. Not with a slap, as Fred had half-expected, but with a kiss. It was so swift that Fred barely registered it until he felt her cool lips against his warm ones. A sigh escaped her as she realised he wasn't pushing her away.
And how could he? Fred had yearned for this moment for so long, through countless sleepless nights, because sleep meant dreams, and every dream was about her. Whether he imagined (y/n) seeking help with a prank and then kissing him, or (y/n) struggling with grades and asking for comfort through a kiss, or even the most sensual dreams where she broke into his Gryffindor dorm room wearing nothing but her panties.
Whatever had prompted (y/n) to kiss him, Fred was beyond caring. He hoped she wouldn't stop. He abandoned his mantra of ignoring his romantic feelings for her, forgetting they were meant to be just friends.
Fred kissed her passionately, willingly, leaving his bat forgotten on the floor as he held her close. His hands found her waist, lifting her slightly, bringing her nearer as he devoured her lips.
For (y/n), it felt like paradise. She'd never been kissed before, though she had read about it. Still, she'd assumed a kiss was just lips meeting, nothing more. She hadn't expected her first kiss to be like a scene from a romance novel, but it was. She experienced everything the heroines in her favourite books described: a warmth that started low in her belly and surged upward, a desire to merge completely with Fred. She clutched his red hair as if her life depended on it as if she depended on him.
“Fred! Come on!” a voice from outside yelled so loudly that it snapped both of them back to reality.
Fred was in the middle of a Quidditch match, but somehow, he had just kissed (y/n).
Slowly, he released her, and she stared back at him, her face flushed a deep shade of red, much like his hair. Her hand reached for her own lips as if trying to comprehend that what had just happened was real. She had been kissed. By Fred Weasley.
“We have just a minute, Fred!” the voice shouted again, and this time, (y/n) realised it was Oliver Wood, their captain, yelling.
“I think you have to go,” she said, her voice slightly shaky.
Fred nodded, placing his hands on his hips.
“Like now, Freddie,” she added, and her raised eyebrows conveyed the situation's urgency.
He burst back to reality, hastily retrieving his bat from the floor. Rushing toward the curtained exit, he glanced back at her.
Did he really kiss his best friend when he swore he wouldn’t?
They shared a glance. He would have to be content with that one kiss, for he could never pursue anything more if he wanted (y/n) to maintain her friendships because she was now finally opening up for that possibility.
“Don't die,” she murmured, her tone serious, but a laugh escaped her as she made the witty remark.
Finally, he left the Changing Room. For if he stayed any longer, he feared he would have to kiss her laughter away from her lips.

Proposal - Nie Huaisang
Pairing: Nie Huaisang x f!reader
Word Count: 1669 words
Warnings/tags: none i think, the events leading up to the wedding, fluff
Notes: (C/N)-your clan's name, (Y/N)-your name
A/N: I planned this to be a one-shot but I got carried away, so the actual action *wink wink* will happen in the next chapter.
I did some completely unnecessary research for this (my adhd ass basically got distracted) but nothing specific. My cultural knowledge is from the show so I'm sorry for any possible mistakes regarding culture. This is my first time writing The Untamed. Also English is not my first language.
Part 2
You met Nie Huaisang at one of the cultivation meetings Jin Guangyao held in Carp Tower. You were a member of one of the smaller clans, so you didn't attend such gatherings in general. That one time your older brother insisted for you to come, as there were some issues to be discussed which might need your expertise as a healer.
During the many battles of the Sunshot Campaign, you actively participated in the healing of wounded soldiers, so many members from the bigger clans also knew you. So it was no wonder they were all pleasantly surprised to see you there at the meeting. After the greetings and toasts you were free to mingle, and almost everyone greeted you with a pleasant smile and grateful eyes. You also greeted them politely, asking about their family and health.
After a while you noticed that Zewu-jun were looking at you, wanting to invite you over to where he was standing with his brother Lan Wangji, Jin Guangyao and another finely dressed young man. As you walked over Lianfang-zun excused himself to greet the other guests. You turned to the remaining three men with a smile, and they bowed to you in return.
"(C/N)(Y/N). It's so nice to see you. What brings you here?" Lan Xichen asked with a small smile on his lips.
"Apparently, Lianfang-zun requires my help with something. And I took the chance to reunite with old acquaintances."
Lan Wangji stared at you in his usual way, not showing any of his emotions. You also wanted to ask what brought him here, but with a curt nod to you and his brother he also excused himself. Finally, you turned to the man now standing next to Lan Xichen. You had an attention to detail, so only a quick glance was enough for you to notice his handsome face and elegant clothing however, you didn't remember meeting him before.
"It's nice to meet you, Master...," you trailed off somewhat nervously as you didn't know how to address him.
He appeared lost in thought for a moment as he seemed to ever so slightly jump at your words. Still, he quickly schooled his expression into a calm and dignified look, but you could still see his nervousness underneath.
"I am Nie Huaisang. Pleased to meet you Lady (C/N)," he said as he bowed to you again, holding his fan in his hands.
As you realized your previous mistake, you were quick to return his bow.
"Ahh, please excuse my rudeness Clan Leader Nie."
He didn't seem offended at all as he glanced at you with a small smile, which appeared to be sad to you. You knew the story of his ascension to clan leader, after all his brother's death was still a widely discussed topic between cultivators. You also heard the various mean stories about Nie Huaisang himself, in which cultivators often referred to him as the Head Shaker or Good-For-Nothing. Stealing another glance at the man, he didn't seem quite as incompetent to you as these stories described him. He might not carry a sword and appear generally nervous, but you could also see the intelligence in his eyes. Right when you wanted to ask him about the situation in Qinghe, your brother called out to you to return to your tables. You exchanged bows with the two men again and returned to where your clan was sitting. However, you didn't seem to think about anything else that day but the handsome and mysterious Clan Leader Nie.
In the upcoming weeks you had the chance to meet with Nie Huaisang many more times, at political meetings and at night hunts too. You were not one to attend often, but as time went by you became more and more interested in the leader of the Nie Clan. As far as men go, he was the first one with whom you could always stir up meaningful conversations about various topics, not just politics or war. As someone who were always interested in music and arts, you found it exceptionally refreshing to listen to him talk about his passions, especially painting and his favourite fans. Looking at him, it always made you happy to see him quite relaxed during your conversations. After a while he even became bolder and started to show you his beautiful smile and laugh and you had to realize, that you, at the same time, started to fall in love with him.
Your brother always had a watchful eye on you two and he always let you know when he thought you spent enough time in the company of the clan leader. You understood his reasoning of course, so you always rejoined your family after a short conversation with Nie Huaisang.
After a few such meetings though, you started receiving gifts from him. At first you didn't know from whom they came from, but one time a messenger, who delivered some letters to your brother, handed you a neatly packaged hand-painted folding fan. It was the most beautiful thing you have ever seen, and you instantly knew who it was from. As you carefully traced the intricately painted lines on the fan with your fingertips your heart was beating so hard you felt it might jump out of your chest at any moment.
The next week your brother informed you that Clan Leader Nie requested a lunch with him and that you should also attend. Despite his reputation, everyone in your home made sure the preparation for the lunch were going smoothly. Everyone seemed excited to host such a high-ranking cultivator in your home. To say that you were nervous when the day finally arrived was an understatement. Actually, you thought you were never this nervous before.
During the lunch you were actually becoming calmer until your brother finally steered the conversation toward the actual meaning of the whole thing.
"Clan Leader Nie, may I ask the reason of your visit?" Your brother inquired after you exhausted all the general conversation topics.
Nie Huaisang seemed rather nervous too during the whole lunch, but looking at him now you were worried he might actually faint. Good thing you are a healer, you thought. For a few moments he sat there completely silent and almost motionless. Only his hands fiddling with his closed fan revealed his emotions. He looked up at your brother and opened his fan to hide behind it. The longer he spoke the quicker his hand moved the elegant accessory, and it seemed his face got redder by the minute.
"Clan Leader (C/N), as you probably noticed, we became quite well-acquainted with your sister. I would like to believe we became rather close even in the past few weeks. And you didn't seem opposed by my advances either. What I mean by all this is that...," he trailed off, even his ears were bright red by now. He appeared to be steeling himself for his next words. Finally he reluctantly lowered his fan and looked at you with frightened but hopeful eyes. God, you just wanted to hug him at that moment. But you couldn't, so you mustered your most encouraging smile and nodded at him. You were certain your cheeks were also red at that point. Nie Huaisang looked straight into your brother's eyes and said:
"I would like to ask for your permission to take your sister as my wife."
When he finally said it, it seemed like a huge stone was lifted off of his shoulders. His posture became more relaxed, but the fan opened again, only at his chest though, not covering his face. Now it was your turn to nervously glance at your brother. His face didn't show anger or disgust, only deep contemplation, which was a good sign, you thought.
"Clan Leader Nie, I am honored you think so highly of my sister. I have to say however, your bad reputation is not something I can ignore..."
"Gege!" You exclaimed, looking at your brother shocked and scared. Thinking back, you never thought your brother believed all those mean rumors about Nie Huaisang because he was just as good at reading people as you were.
"Meimei, let me finish," your brother said not even looking at you, a slight warning in his voice.
"Clan Leader Nie, as you said, I never opposed your relations with my sister. You seem to me an honorable man, and you never behaved inappropriately around her. But you have to understand, my sister's future depends on me. That's why I brought up your reputation. They say you are incompetent, but that's not what I see. I think you are very good at this whole political game. All I ask of you is to take care of my sister and don't let her reputation be ruined."
As he finished speaking you instantly turned to Nie Huaisang, who seemed to freeze, only his eyes turned impossibly big. His mind probably stuck to the same thought as yours, because that meant your brother actually agreed, right?
With his next sentence, he confirmed your suspicions: "I accept your proposal. If my sister agrees, she is yours."
You could only nod your head furiously as Nie Huaisang stood up and bowed deeply to your brother in thanks.
"Clan Leader (C/N), I assure you, your sister's happiness will always be my top priority. I will take care of her until my last day," Nie Huaisang said, his voice shaky.
As he straightened up, you could see his eyes glistening with unshed tears and you couldn't hold yourself back anymore. You basically jumped up, walked around the table and grabbed his shaking hands.
"I would love to be yours, Nie Huaisang," you said squeezing his hands.
He looked at you with that self-assured half smile you loved so much, and which he showed so rarely these days, but it always signaled some kind of mischief.
You didn't notice your brother looking at you two with a fond look on his face.
To be continued

My own little Psychological Headcannons on the brothers.
A/N: oh my God this is a lot.
Warnings: lots of mental health stuff, like, lots
Ok so I believe Lucifer has ptsd of the complex variety, maybe Bipolar, anxious and severely depressed as well with possible BPD and definitely autism and he will definitely have oldest child syndrome. His brothers don’t appreciate him as much as they should and he seems to rarely ever get hugs since even though he is doing what he thinks is best for them they do their best to ruin his day. He feels anxious he isn’t doing good enough for his brothers and that they’ll get hurt because of this. He’ll blame yourself for everything bad that happens to them. He has a lot of pressure to do everything for your siblings and his needs were put last as his brothers don’t appreciate you as much as they should and even now he’ll put himself last and will overwork himself for his brothers often not eating or sleeping like he should. Whenever his brothers are threatened he will immediately go into fight or flight always choosing fight as if it’s been drilled into him that he doesn’t matter and his brothers come first. That’s why he’ll act tough because he feels guilty for being vulnerable because that makes him feel unfit to protect his brothers and they’ll think he is weak and leave him for showing some emotional vulnerability making him unable to protect them when they leave. He has also turned to borderline alcoholism to help relieve some of his stress and anxiety because he never actually had the time to get over his trauma and learn to take care of himself. Yet most importantly it seems that his brothers are his only will to live.
Then Mammons hyperactive Adhd is mostly what’s fucking him over because he can start something but will quickly loose interest causing it to fail because he can’t follow through and adhd can make you more likely to get addicted to things in Mams case it’s the casino but being the Avatar of Greed also plays a part because he feels like he’s missing something so he’s likely using possessions to try and fix it when he’s really just missing affection because he is used as an emotional punching bag by your brothers and this also caused him to have BPD, major depressive disorder and general anxiety disorder. Since He is mostly used as an emotional punching bag which is not good for him and he hardly ever properly retaliates. This is because he wants to believe you all care but he has a hard time believing it making him even more depressed and anxious especially after Michael pretty much abandoned and bad mouthed him . Despite his grades He is very smart and it’s mostly just his adhd. This can mostly be solved by more positive reinforcement and accommodations for his adhd.
Levi has autism and anxiety and as the Avatar of Envy he is likely jealous of who he used to be but can’t explain that part so he’s just miserable and depressed but at least he’s more open about how he feels especially his anxiety. He really just needs someone to listen to him. Did I mention autism?
Satan is a walking autistic existential identity crisis and as the Avatar of Wrath he is mostly angry because he is confused about why he exists and it’s also why his main comfort is books because they explain things and he’s using escapism as a coping mechanism. He needs reassurance that he is his own person and not a carbon copy of someone else. It’s seen over and over that Satan loves books and that he believes Knowledge is power but he doesn’t have the knowledge of how he came into existence except for the fact he split from Lucifer.
Asmo is the healthiest with his self care but he has histrionic personality disorder and as the Avatar of Lust he is likely trying to Fuck away his feelings so to speak so he doesn’t have to think about it but then again his self care is also his greatest weakness since he believes that if people cannot see how pretty he is what else do they have to go by. His face is his mask and he thinks his mask is all people will ever see. They can't see what's underneath because he thinks that it does not matter.
Beel is mostly just depressed and his guilt likely forms as a pit in his stomach which could also be mistaken for hunger so as the Avatar of gluttony he tries to eat to get rid of that pit of guilt. Belphie is depressed and has inattentive Adhd and if you’re too busy sleeping you don’t have to acknowledge reality of loosing Lilith and his coping mechanism is pretty fitting for the avatar of sloth.

Since Yuichi Usagi canonically reads his show’s version of Usagi Yojimbo comics, he probably has read the series where Miyamoto Usagi reunites with “turtles from another world” (granted that Miyamoto first met Leo in the TMNT 1987 comics, “Turtle Soup and Rabbit Stew”).
And that his ancestor is mostly close to the turtle that wields two swords.
(panels from Usagi Yojimbo Volume 2, #2)
And Yuichi is probably well aware that they’re different from kappas thanks to his comic books:
(panel from Usagi Yojimbo Volume 1, #6)
But when I think about it, Yuichi probably assumes at first that the turtles are a mythologized part of his ancestor’s life. However, he would probably think it’s plausible after discovering yokais existing and aliens opening portals.
Take it as you will ;)
My shitpost on this take below:
Usagi’s eyes widened in recognition when four turtles walked through the portal that appeared the Kaikishi temple. A part of him thought it was true of his grandpa’s comics, after everything that happened.
He swept out an arm to keep Gen, Kitsune and Chizu from doing anything. “I got this,” he solemnly said.
The four turtles looked so much like the ones in the serialized life of his ancestor -yet so different. For one thing, they didn’t look alike. But they’re also wearing minimal clothing like long-distance messengers of ancient times.
His heart thrummed as he approached the ones wielding two swords. If his family’s publication of Miyamoto’s life is correct, this one has the closest connection with his ancestor.
“Greetings,” he said, trying not to be stiff as he does a quick bow. He stands up with pride and tries his best to hied his nervousness. “I am the descendent of your friend, Miyamoto Usagi.”
Groans were heard behind him (”Not everything’s about him, Usagi!”) and confused noises in the front (”Who what now?”).
Usagi inwardly winced. Okay, so wrong turtles.
Bonus:
Having the knowledge of alternate universes, Donatello could only roll his eyes as his brother got along with the cringe-bunny like a house on fire. “Don’t worry, guys, it’s a canon event.”
But no one can hear him because Leo and Usagi’s ADHD are synchronizing like this:

Octrio + Riddle With a hyperfixated S/O
Finally updated, posts will be cut down to two headcannon posts per week, due to my adhd having butt forgetting to write, also yes, this is slightly self indulgent.
Riddle Rosehearts
- Riddle would think it's just his s/o liking the subject of their hyperfixation, though when he notices all the merchandise from said hyperfixation. He realizes how much this series means to his s/o, and tries his best to understand it, not really being able to relate since in his childhood and such he was only allowed to do studies and barely play with Trey and Chen'ya as a kid. - Soon he is able to understand and occasionally buys merchandise for his s/o, giving it as small gifts for them. - He probably does the thing parents do with their kids, aka uses a item that his s/o wants as a motivator to have his s/o keep their grades up.
Azul Ashengrotto
- Azul immediately understands, because he hyperfixates on coin collecting. He would listen to everything you say about your hyperfixation and make comments, vie versa when he talks about coins. Jade and Floyd would have to endure this if they happened to be in the same room, since all hell breaks loose with the hyperfixation.
- Azul would think about the worth his s/o's merch could produce over time, but ultimately decide to get more merchandise for his s/o, sometimes sneaking them in their room or in their bag when they didn't look, just so he can see his s/o's excited face when they see the object.
- I can totally see Azul explaining his coin hyperfixation via power point presentations, and his s/o explaining via whiteboard, like that one video that explained the evillous chronicles in two hours (good watch ngl)
Jade Leech
- Dude immediately understands because of his mushroom obsession. He would probably try to get his s/o to get hyperfixated on mushrooms, so he can rant about them with a more willing audience than his brother.
- Though if his S/o is more interested in something not related to nature, he would happily listen to his s/o's rants. if its something sea related though, he would offer knowledge he has about the subject of his s/o's affection, watching them get hyper and excited over it.
- Jade definitely pulls some strings to get sold out merch and such of the hyperfixation, sometimes sending Floyd out to get the items as to not arouse his s/o's suspicion, and make it easier to surprise them with the gifts.
Floyd Leech
- Watch out if your hyperfixation is on a streamer/character/actor/any kind of person, because he is absolutely going to be jealous. Floyd at first would just think "Oh, they're just a fan of them" but when he see's the increasing amount of merchandise he begins to get jealous.
- He would at first think of hiding all his s/o's merchandise as a punishment, but decide against it since he doesn't want to see his shrimpy sad, instead deciding to try and see what's so amazing about this hyperfixation. Immediately gets addicted and hyperfixated aswell until four weeks later when it drops out of his system. still listens to what his s/o says about the hyperfixation though.
- He would buy some merchandise for his s/o, but much like Jade, pulls some strings to get something signed by the person who made/streamed and made the hyperfixation. Seems they are taking a break for a while though...wonder why? Floyd plays innocent though, just happy that his shrimpy is so happy with the present he gave them!

Please, tell me your vision of Clones daemons
Ok, so I've made a list of various clones and the daemon/familiar I've given them. Note, I assigned them based on the general vibe, and characteristics of each trooper, and what knowledge I have of various animals, their general vibe, and a few cultural associations, rather than what animals are associated with what in Dark Materials universe.
Rather than the clones all having daemons from one specific group of animals, such as canines, they all have animals from across the animal kingdom, as each clone IS a unique individual. I wanted that expressed through their animal daemon/familiars.
List and my thoughts for such choices below the cut!
So, lets get underway! This is gonna be LONG!
The 501st
Rex: A Golden Eagle
Eagles have A LOT of symbolism in various cultures across the globe! Rex has been bestowed the Mandalorian mark of Jaig Eyes, a symbol of the Mandalorian Jai'Galaar, the Shriek Hawk. A native bird of Mandalore that I imagine has similarities with our own eagles. When I think of Rex's Jaig eyes, I liken them to the eagle feathers in the beautiful war bonnets of many of the different indigenous peoples of the North American plains. A reverent symbol of bravery, honor and skill that can only be earned. Therefore Rex gets the eagle. I specifically chose the Golden Eagle due to the crown of golden feathers on its head, referencing Rex's blonde hair, his "crown of gold"
The Domino Twins, Fives and Echo: Lion and Cougar respectively.
For Fives, he's brave, he's charismatic, a leader. The lion is a typical symbol of such. Clones are also meant to work TOGETHER, and of course lions work together, and lion brothers especially. Lions are also pretty powerful and tough, and Fives is an ARC trooper! He's tough, he's skilled, so he gets something equally so.
As for Echo, he gets a feline like Fives, because they ARE a package deal after all. However, Echo is still significantly different from Fives, so a different cat. When I think of Echo, I think of how ADAPTABLE he has become. A far cry from the cadet "who couldn't adapt". Cougars, aka Mountain Lions, or Pumas, are pretty adaptable. Not specialists, which is a good thing in the wild. They have a huge range all over North and South America, from mountains, to open plains, hot deserts to lush forests and swamplands. The cougar has adapted to a wide range of ecosystems! Also....they can be very chatty, making all kinds of squeaks, purrs, chirps, hisses, screams, and growls. And well, Echo was pretty chatty, repeating orders and such.
Jesse: Tuatara
Do NOT mistake the cute little guy for a lizard! Tuataras are a native reptile of Aoteroa/New Zealand, and only found there. They are the last of their kind, the order Rhyncocephalians, NOT lizards despite the appearence. They have a kind of "third eye" that's sensitive to light. Now I wanted at least one of the clones to have a NZ native animal, and Jesse gives me the vibe that he'd have a reptile for a pet if he could. So I gave him this unique reptile. Also, like the Tuatara, Jesse is kind of the "last of his kind" in regards to being Rex's last named member of the 501st (Echo having joined TBB, and Kix gones missing)
Kix: Caracal
Ok to be honest, I'm not ENTIRELY sure why I chose this kitty for Kix, but something about it said "Kix" to me. The long tufts on the ears give it a sort of elegance, and of course we like to think Kix has a small sense of vanity about him, what with those intricately shaved lightning bolts in his hair, and admiring himself in the mirror.
Hardcase: Moluccan Cockatoo.
Honestly, if any animal could be the manifestation of ADHD, it's gotta be a cockatoo! LOUD, energetic, fun loving, but also SMART and clever, it just screams Hardcase to me. He likes to have fun, can't sit still, but he's also a highly competent soldier, social, and probably destructive if he gets too bored. A parrot of some sort fits him nicely I think.
Tup: Sea Otter
Of course Tup gets something cute! However, despite their cuteness, Sea Otters ARE still predators, and WILL bite if you harass them! They also meticulously care for their fur, and Tup probably has his own hair care routine due to having long hair. Otters are also clever little beasts, and it was TUP'S quick and clever thinking that allowed them to take down Krell! Tup was vital both for taking Krell down, and setting Fives on the path to discovering the chips, and Rex learning of them, etc etc. A huge domino effect that led to end of the Empire really. And sea otters are VITAL keystone species in their ecosystems of kelp forests. A health population of sea otters equals a healthy kelp forest environment and all the other animals who live there.
Dogma: Budgett's Frog
Heheheh If you know you know! (*coughFrogmacough*) But honestly, I'mma just link to the post that inspired the idea, because I can't associate him with anything else now.
The Bad Batch
Hunter: Ocelot
Hunter's mutations allow him to essentially be a stealthy well...hunter. And of course, what animal better showcase a "stealthy predator" than a cat? However unlike the other clones who have kitty daemons/familiars, Hunter's is much smaller, but no less fierce and skilled. I also like the idea that the ocelot's markings, kinda resembling Hunter's tattoo. Hunter also has a "smokier" husky voice compared to his brothers, and ocelots....well.... they make some interesting noises.
Crosshair: Black Mamba
I can't imagine Crosshair with anything but a snake! I know we all like to joke about him being a grumpy cat, but from the moment I first saw this character, I thought "deadly snake". Even the way DBB plays the character, and his voice, "very calculated and deliberate" feels very snake-like to me. He doesn't say much, is the quietest of the bunch, and snakes are often pretty quiet. The Black Mamba in particular also has an infamous deadly reputation, that I feel fits Crosshair pretty well.
Wrecker: Grizzly Bear
Naturally, Wrecker gets an animal often associated with strength and power, but at the same time soft and warm (Mama Bear, Teddy Bears) So a bear fits him perfectly I think. Bears are big, strong, tough, dangerous, but also protective (do NOT get between a bear and her cubs, it'll be the last thing you ever do) and we've seen how fiercely protective, but loving Wrecker is towards the people he cares about, especially Omega. Also, Wrecker clearly likes to fish, and eat good food, and of course bears love to fish in rivers and will eat just about anything. They'll hunt, scavenge, or forage for food. Bears are also smarter than some people think too, and Wrecker is smarter than a lot of folks make him out to be. (man built a mobile cannon out of scrap and within minutes!)
Tech: Crow
Crows. Are. Fucking. SCARY SMART! Like, if any animal evolves sapience like us next, I'd believe it's gonna be crows! Tech is curious, highly intelligent and skilled, a problem solver. Just like crows. THese birds use tools, learn fast, are inquisitive, and CHATTY! (I've got a small family of crows living the area I do, and I hear them a lot) They are also astounding mimics, and Tech records everything. Yet crows are also fiercely loyal to their flock (or "murder" if you will) you mess with one, you mess with them ALL! Tech is quite similar. He may not be confrontational, but you threaten his family, and he WILL retaliate and remember!
Omega: Red Panda
Now, Omega's daemon/familiar would still be unsettled, but once it does I imagine it becomes a red panda. Of course she'd have something cute. She just really gives me red panda vibes to be honest.
Commanders
Cody: Siberian Tiger
The Marshall Commander Cody gets the largest cat, the Siberian Tiger. With similar traits and associations as the lion (Fives), but still vastly distinct. Strong, charismatic, beautiful. A tiger fits Cody well in my opinion, and I can easily imagine the facial stripes mimicking his scar's pattern.
Wolffe and Fox: Wolf and Red Fox respectively
Yep, what it says on the tin. Would you expect anything less? But in all seriousness, their namesakes DO suit them quite well. Wolffe is loyal to his brothers, his "pack" to a fault. Wolves have strong ties to their packs, their family units, often associated with such.
Fox of course, lives and works on Coruscant, the big city. Foxes are adaptable, and can easily adapt to urban living if need be, better than other wild canine species. They've also got a bad reputation, and lots of people hate them. Fox gets a lot of hate in the fandom (especially outside of tumblr), but it's greatly exaggerated, and he's just as much a victim as Fives.
Bly: Coyote
Ok to be honest, I'm not entirely sure why I chose a coyote. It just....felt right? Maybe to tie him in with Wolffe and Fox.
Other Clones
Howzer: Elk
Howzer was....difficult to be honest. I had enough carnivorous daemons for the clones, I NEEDED an herbivore for SOMEONE. I went with an elk, or deer for Howzer. These animals are often associated with pride, beauty, and elegance. Howzer is proud of being a clone, a soldier, a good man who protects others. He's also of course quite handsome lets be honest. Now, elk are NOT to be underestimated. They are bigger than you think (but not MOOSE big), and deadlier than you think too. Howzer may be a good, caring man, but he WILL FIGHT fiercely and is deadly in his own right.
Mayday: Snow Leopard
Mayday's gotta have something adapted to the cold, mountainous landscape we met him on. A snow leopard just...fits his whole vibe honestly. A stealthy, deadly hunter perfectly adapted to its domain; Mayday has had to adapt to the harsh conditions of the planet he was stuck on. However there was also a sort of charm to Mayday, we were instantly drawn to him, and snow leopards certainly have an alluring charm too.
Gregor: Hyena
Gregor has the hyena! Not just for his laugh, but Gregor is a COMMANDO clone. He's tough as hell, and survived stuff he shouldn't have and keeps fighting! Hyena's are tough, powerful, tenacious animals. Easily able to go toe-to-toe with other large predators like lions. However they're also pretty smart too, and Gregor is also pretty clever. Hyenas are also social, capable hunters. Gregor values his brothers, and enjoys a good Joopa hunt!
Ok....*sigh* That....that was really long.... But that is basically what I've got!

ADHD is weird bc like
“Im going to take away all of your emotional permanence! Your concept of emotions will be the same as that of a baby playing peekaboo”
So you work on it. Because it’s not fun living like that! I quite like the emotional permanence, than you very much. Knowing and remembering how I feel about things is in fact, quite important to me.
BUT I FORGOT THAT TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, ATTRACTION IS A FORM OF EMOTION TOO. Do you know how annoying that is?
Imagine you’re me. Closeted. Spent years trying to figure out what I exactly I am, and after some life events finally figured out their gender. Because gender is permanent, you live with it inside of you.
But sexual and romantic orientation? That’s a force outside of you! Something that only happens through interaction with certain people! Now I figured out years ago I was asexual, and this has been a mostly unwavering piece of knowledge since. But because I don’t have the experience of finding people I barely know physically attractive, I had nothing to remind me of what romance meant to me.
I’m still entirely unsure of how other people experience romance, but I suppose I’m demiromantic. I’ve had crushes before, though few and far between, and only on people I was already close to platonically. And now, with the digital age, I’m not seeing these friends frequently enough to solidify my emotions about them. Yes, talking online is great, if it’s continual and in depth, nothing that I do with any of my in person friends. So I go through the summer, not seeing my friends because they’re back at home now. Away from university, away from me. And I miss them, I know that. The memories with them feel nice!
But by the time summer has finished I’ve created somewhat… false ideas of them in my head. False ideas of myself, too. I think of them as being different to how they actually are. Not bad, just maybe emphasising some of their traits.
And as for me? Spending the summer at home, closeted, my brother calling me gay constantly to poke fun and me having to deny it because the last time I tried coming out it really didn’t go down so well- I almost convince myself that I’m straight! I think to myself, “well, I could probably learn to love a boy. Surely there’s things about it that I wouldn’t find so terrible.” I even choose a boy to try and like. I try and imagine dates, and romance, and even, just for the sake of testing it, naked.
I try and ignore the repulsion I feel as I push the girl I definitely DONT have a crush on to the back of my mind. She and I aren’t compatible anyway. We’re too different! Plus, I feel very strongly that I would like to share things I enjoy, like baking and video games and rollercoasters, and she doesn’t like baking or rollercoasters. It’s an illogical crush, so I should ignore it and choose a logical one.
So, fast forward, and I see both parties in person. The boy, whom I invite over to bake with me, play video games with, and talk about how much we both enjoyed rollercoasters at this particular theme park. My three uncompromisables, if you will.
(I recognise that they’re quite inane things to not compromise on, but they’re important to me!)
This boy is perfect! My family all think we’re going to profess undying love for each other and get married one day, but I say goodbye and I’m left with a nauseating feeling of recognition that there is an expectation with him that there will be romance. Even if not from him, from my family.
On the other hand, I see the girl. And she’s perfect. Every imperfection about her is perfect. Beautiful. I can’t take my eyes off her, and I just know she knows I’m staring. I try and joke about it, fake flirt! Apologise a bit for the fake flirting- but I’m still transfixed. I’m angry that we aren’t alone, that there are other people around us, and I just keep staring and staring and listening to her voice and watching the way she stands. Okay, maybe that sounds a tad bit creepy. And I’m trying not to be! And we shop for some food together, and she buys instant meals. And I ask her if she likes rollercoasters, and she tells me she’s terrified of them. It’s irrational to like her! I know that the relationship probably wouldn’t work out, so it’s not worth pursuing. But by god does it feel so different to boys! It feels electric and real and brilliant and emotional.
But most of all, I’m not left with that numb nausea, the confused pleading with myself after I try and like a boy. And then it’s all followed up by some sort of hyperfixation on my sexuality like I need to know all about it and make it me again before I forget.
Of course, this post is about ADHD and I did derail a bit, but can you really blame me? Consider the subject matter. And I’ll consider my audience too. I write too much.
The tl;dr is, adhd made me forget I was a lesbian. Pretty girl reminded me.

LBGTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 3, Wave 1, Poll 3
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and prior here.
Propaganda:
https://youtu.be/swbXAVADjxY ^ok this clip kinda explains the whole thing better (and obvs spoilers)
https://youtu.be/2wO5nsnkSBk ^and this video is just for fun but it's a little thing about Wei Wuxian & Jiang Cheng because their relationship makes me unwell
Wade Wilson / Deadpool-Marvel
Qualifications:
pansexual who has cancer and [has] chronic pain
Propaganda:
Deadpool is all our favourite mutant/mutate merc with a mouth who suffers from chronic pain and makes others suffer by killing them, he is also pansexual and heartmates with Spiderman (they even have a ~genetically engineered evil~ daughter ~clone~ together)

Let's talk about Eddy's family
Out of the three boys, I feel we know the least about Eddy's family. We may have met his brother, the only adult to ever have a role in the show, but of the Eds, he talks about his parents the least. And I refuse to believe his brother is just Like That all on his own. Something happened to that guy and I wanna know what.
So, let's look at what we know:
Eddy was physically abused by his big brother. On the flip side, his big brother also passed his knowledge onto him, the show implying that his bro took on the role of a mentor in Eddy's life. Eddy also inherited a lot of his brother's stuff from him; whether Eddy's brother had a choice in that matter or not is unknown, since Eddy could have simply taken the items out of his brother's room after he was gone.
Bro is much older than Eddy, though we don't know exactly by how much.
in the episode 'Ed... Pass it on...' we learn that the older boys in the neighborhood (Kevin and Rolf), who would have clearer memories of him than the other kids, are terrified of bro.
Eddy idolizes his brother. He pulls his pranks, wears his clothes, and speaks his praises any chance he gets.
Eddy's dad is most likely a homophobe judging by the implications of the only direct description we get of him in the bible. He doesn't want his son to be gay and worries that he is.
Eddy's mom thinks Eddy can do no wrong. Now, I've seen a lot of people interpret the line about Eddy's mom as a continuation of the line about his dad, and that she, too, is homophobic but doesn't believe Eddy is gay. However, I think they're separate statements. Eddy is a guy who gets in a lot of trouble, and usually when a kid gets in trouble, their mom is the first to be told. I think what the bible is communicating to us is that Eddy's mom flat out doesn't believe the stories about the trouble Eddy gets up to. It's probably one of the biggest reasons he keeps making trouble without fear of consequences.
Here's where things get a little more up to interpretation-y:
Here we have Eddy throwing a mug that says "#1 son" out of his closet. So. Yeah. He's the favorite child and his parents aren't afraid to say it out loud.
Eddy's dad, like Eddy, seems to have a short temper and isn't shy of getting physical with people, including his own children (important to keep in mind that this is a hyperbolic, slapstick cartoon, and not any sort of canon proof that Eddy's dad is abusive.)
Then there's the way Bro is talked about in the bible. "Before his brother went... away," why the ellipses? Was there something else to be said other than just "away?" I think the hint here is that Eddy's brother didn't just grow up and move out. There was some sort of inciting incident that lead to him living on his own. There's also the fact that Eddy has no idea where his brother lives in BPS, and that when he does show up, the first thing his bro asks is "Do mom and dad know you're here?" Eddy answers "AS IF!" which tells me that Eddy's parents would not approve of Eddy being around his brother, and both brothers are aware of that. This is followed up by bro asking "Does ANYONE know you're here?" Which. Big scary imo. Really fucking weird thing to ask your little brother before you start beating on him. Like he wanted to know what he could get away with.
So with all that in mind, here's my own personal headcanon that is not in anyway present in canon this is just what i like to imagine happened:
Eddy's brother was the family's scapegoat, whereas Eddy (in his mother's eyes, at least) was the golden child. Extremely rarely do children grow up to be violent just because. I think bro learned that behavior at home. I've discussed before that I think Eddy has ADHD, and that shit hella genetic, so I think his bro has it, too. Their mom and dad were new parents when they first had bro, and probably knew squat about raising a neurodivergent kid, and neurodivergent children are more likely to be victims of abuse. When corporal punishment didn't end up working out so well on bro, I think his parents changed tactics for Eddy. I also personally think that his mom felt guilty for how bro was raised, which is why she's so lenient with Eddy. So now, bro is jealous of Eddy and bitter about his own abusive upbringing, and he takes this out on Eddy by being exceptionally cruel and violent towards him.
This led to bro eventually doing something bad enough to get his ass sent to either juvie or prison, depending on how old he was at the time. This was hidden from Eddy, who adores his older brother, and was told that his brother had simply moved out. And that's how things ended up how they are in the show and how Eddy's brother ended up the way that he is. Again, this is just my own imagination. While it makes sense as something that could be true when you look at canon, I don't think canon actually props it up as accurate in any way. Anyway, I'm curious to hear what you guys think of bro and Eddy's family!!! especially if any of you know what the hell "Eddy's genes are working the fastest" means.

A small ramble about Eclipse's therapy
Okay, so this is all copy-pasted from Discord where I was going through it minute by agonizing minute and just rambling my little heart out
This episode. Specifically this one. Ramble under cut.
Reminders before I talk about this! Eclipse is confirmed to have ASPD in canon. I also have ASPD. I do know things on that topic because of this unfortunate fact. For some in-depth things on Eclipse's sociopathy, I suggest popping over to these two analyses! Eclipse Is a Sociopath - Traits of ASPD
Eclipse obviously doesn't even want to be here, we know this from the very start when Moon is literally shoving him to get him into the room
Eclipse attempts (and fails) to intimidate both Moon and Solar. First with the comment about Lunar, which was meant to get under Moon's skin but when he didn't get a reaction he brushed it off with a 'whatever'. Next with the stand-off with Solar "Name is Solar" Technically correct, as we know from earlier episodes that his name is "Solar Eclipse" and Lunar is "Lunar Eclipse" The 'eclipse brothers' (Which is only further supported by the fact that a blood moon is a type of eclipse) Of course, we all know this was not the answer Solar was wanting. (Solar gets his own petty revenge by dragging the process out. Moon also gets petty revenge by mocking Eclipse. This is honestly a good reminder that they all came from the same base personality.)
Eclipse was flabbergasted. Absolutely gobsmacked. Shook When Moon told him upfront that he does need therapy. I think this stems partly from the fact that this is Moon and Moon has never tried to do something that would benefit Eclipse And then just being told what he already knows by someone else probably caught him off guard. He doesn't want to go to therapy because he thinks that therapy means he is weak. We already know how Eclipse feels about being weak and needing to rely on others for literally anything. We see this on a lesser extent with Solar who doesn't ask for anything because he doesn't want to be seen as a burden.
I do think it's important that he calls Solar the 'inferior version' right after calling him the 'better version' of himself. He called Solar better than him and then immediately change his words. Possibly because he can't stand the fact that Solar actually is better than him. Not necessarily in what one thinks of when we do comparisons like that, but more of Solar's more stable than Eclipse. He has a family to lean back on. . . unlike Eclipse. The one person that Eclipse cared about (at one point but now claims to hate) now hates Eclipse but loves Solar, which is just. . . another version of Eclipse. And that knowledge has to be painful, even for Eclipse.
It's also possible that Eclipse actually does think that Solar is inferior due to the common mindset that socio/psychopaths tend to have about 'normal people' around them. We pity people on a superficial level for being held back by fickle things like emotions and guilt, while also blatantly ignoring our own issues that make our own lives 582390458234098x harder due to the packaged deal that is ASPD
(To briefly summarize the "package deal" - along with socio/psychopathy toss in Anxiety Disorders, Paranoia, Dissociation/Derealization Issues, PTSD, ADHD/ADHD-symptoms, and Depression)
Back to the analysis
Eclipse immediately starts to mock Earth's office. He tends to mock Earth a lot in the past, because she's a very reactive character. It also used to be a lot easier to make her insecure. Someone who is insecure isn't going to press a hostile party for conversation/information.
Earth, like the girl-boss she is, calls him out. Kudos to Earth
Okay let's step back from Eclipse a second because MOON This is probably the worst possible timing for him to bring Eclipse in for a therapy appointment and he knows it and even though Earth says it's fine he's still apologizing and genuinely sorry and I think that's a huge step from how he was falling apart a little bit ago and slipping back into what Old Moon was Moon's also always had a soft spot for Earth (Big brother syndrome except Moon is technically the youngest sibling)
Okay back to Eclipse. After a failed attempt to get under Earth's skin he goes for Moon again. The man really do be flabbergasted that the two most reactive people he knows aren't giving him the reaction he wants.
And then back to Earth. He honestly spends the first bit just trying to get a reaction out of everyone because that's what he's good at. He's exasperated when Earth starts asking him questions, and gives her his normal sarcastic a-hole response. He's purposefully unnerving and trying to make both Earth and Moon uncomfortable because he doesn't want to be there.
He skirts around the abandonment question, which just lets everyone in the room know that he does indeed feel abandoned. He deflects the question honestly horribly in my opinion. "Abandoned, why would I feel abandoned?" Proceeds to list off reasons that he would feel abandoned but phrases them as questions. Sir? Try harder.
Moon plays a common tactic when dealing with unwilling peoples. "The sooner you play along the sooner you can leave." Common courtroom/interrogation tactic. Gives a goal to work toward while also implying that they're willing to stick around for as long as the person in the room is willing to bullcrap them. This may be a familiar tactic to the audience because parents love using this when teens are lying to them. So do teachers. "Just tell us what we want to hear and then we can be done. But if you sit here in silence then I'll sit here in silence with you."
Reminds me of parole. A lot of people who've gotten in trouble with the powers that be are required to participate in active therapy if they want to get out of a heavier charge. It's a common requirement of plea deals
Watch me ramble Back on track
Plsplspls and then Eclipse says the same thing I FORGOT HE SAID IT CUT ME SOME SLACK IM TYPING AS I WATCH THIS FOR THE SECOND TIME ITS BEEN A WHOLE DAY I've got the adhd my memory is not that good sir
I'm only 6 minutes in are you bored yet
Earth does irritate him by making assumptions about him that are wrong. It's a small blow to the pride. He's not acting like he doesn't care, he just doesn't care. And then he just starts bullcrapping so I'm gonna call him out on his bullcrap
He didn't just care about the star
Someone who doesn't care isn't going to be hurt by rejection so lets go over the list
Getting back to Moon. Remerging their code which is where he felt like he was supposed to be. Moon shoved him away, rejected him, and that made him upset
Lunar. Lunar wasn't just a means to an end because Lunar had just the right traits, the right level of whatever to make Eclipse care about him. Think of it like this. Eclipse was barely offended by Bloodmoon attacking him and ditching him. But he went out of his way to blow Lunar up because Lunar, in his eyes, betrayed him
The star to an extent. He cared less about the star itself and more about being able to make a world perfect for him and those around him. He was a Lawful Evil type back then (Dances in DnD language)
Eh that's honestly all I can think of off the top of my head. I'd argue he also cared about Sun to an extent because he used to be Moon, but probably not as much these days lol But yeah CUT THE CRAP ECLIPSE GRRR WHOO LOW SELF ESTEEM "You'd all just immediately try to find a way to kill me" He really do think that everyone would just go out of their way to kill him even if he was existing peacefully. He's half right
Sun didn't really want anything to do with it. Solar was just going along with it because Moon's his best friend (and Solar himself is insecure whoo). Earth isn't confrontational. Ruin (who probably brought eclipse back, btw where did he disappear to we haven't seen that cockroach for a while) didn't hop on the kill Eclipse train until after he was 'kidnapped', and we all know how sus that was. Lunar, yeah, but that's Lunar. Moon also was immediately like "omg kill this guy" but also, that's just Moon. Like I have talked about how self-centered those two are before, haven't I? Monty also wanted to kill Eclipse on sight but he's literally worse than Moon so he don't really count. Monty is literally an awful person who is only semi-decent because of Earth
Eclipse describes his death to Earth as if she wasn't literally there. Again. Reactions. As well as the weird complinsult which she has no idea how to process. Is it an insult? Is it a compliment? It's both honey. It's both. Take it or leave it. Once again frustration and insecurity at the lack of control Eclipse has ove everything. From being monitored, to being brought back, to literally being in a brand new body that he had no say in. The physical lack of control bleeds into the mentality that he has no control over anything, including his own thoughts and emotions. And what's sad is it's kind of true. . . he can't even control his own actions some of the time because of the directives. That just makes him feel paranoid and hopeless, and while he doesn't say it explicitly, it shows. He doesn't think he can change in his mentality because he can't change anything else around him either. That's part of why he thinks therapy is pointless.
10:30 This is where I argue he takes off his metaphorical mask. Not because he trusts Earth, but he's trying to see where her breaking point is. She's been patient and kind and making an attempt to be understanding and it's curious because no one has ever just sat there and asked him questions and let him ramble. He's trying to make her uncomfortable still, but he's also curious. This is a button that has never been presented to him before, how many times can he press it before it's taken away from him. At first he's thinking about his answers, calculating his responses, but it feels honest.
12:20 And then he realized that he was getting ahead of himself and that he was just rambling because he's never had someone to talk to and he stops. Whether it's because it's something he doesn't want her to know, or Moon to know, or it's just something he isn't ready to say out loud yet, he changes topics.
And then he's back to deflecting and getting the focus off of him and poking at Earth again
(Side note: Earth calls him an idiot in a roundabout way and it made me giggle both times watching it)
"You would take more pride in-" Pauses video Gestures frantically PRIDE UGH THE FALLING POINT OF A SOCIOPATH IS OUR PRIDE Yes he would take more pride in it being about information gathering. He'd probably be more complicit if it were for that purpose instead of 'inner healing' because going to therapy is a BLOW TO HIS PRIDE IM Ignore me as I go insane Presses play
Eclipse breaking the fourth wall like-
He's very cynical about the idea of trust and it's because the few times he put his trust in someone/thing it's failed him. AND THEN MORE DEFLECTION ECLIPSE PLEASE- Just stay on topic I'm begging you I know it's hard but LET ME HARVEST YOUR BRAIN MAN STOP DEFLECTING
He's so gobsmacked when Earth claims that we aren't defined by who makes us. Which must be hard to hear for Eclipse because for a while there his entire identity was defined by the fact that he was made by Moon and left behind.
He presses Earth for further detail about this and it makes me wonder if this was the first time he's ever heard or conceptualized this
It's fun to hear Eclipse (I think for the first time) finally verbally disown Sun and Moon. "I don't care to make it right anymore. They've cast their stone and now I'm stuck in my own ship." AKA They had their chance to give him a chance time and time again and each time they shunned him. Why would you go back to someone who has only caused you pain? Eclipse is in a similar situation with Sun/Moon that Lunar is in with him. Part of him wants to be back with them because he was made from them, they will always be part of him just how Eclipse will always be part of Lunar. Violence begets more violence.
I do think it's interesting how Eclipse doesn't acknowledge that he blew up Lunar and it's probably because he didn't blow up Lunar. The Eclipse before him did. Just like how Moon didn't reject him, the Moon before did. (I'll come back to that later)
Earth has to point out that Lunar got ka-boomed and then Eclipse laughs "Oh yes, I did, right." Because, again, he didn't. The Eclipse before him did. It feels like he's trying to avoid taking accountability for that (and good on him because he's technically innocent it's not his fault he has the corrupted memories of a dead man)
HOWEVER ON THAT NOTE
It does feel like with every day that passes by those memories become more of who he is now, and he's slowly accepting them as part of his own identity because he's kind of stuck with them. If you woke up in a random place and someone handed you a broom and said 'you're bob the janitor' and that's all you knew you'd probably believe it (/ref)
(If someone gets that reference I will love you forever)
"Do you really. . . not care about him?" - Earth Eclipse: Doesn't answer the question, answers a question with a question which is DEFLECTING
Sir? You do too still care don't you?
"It's kind of hard to empathize with you" - Earth Me: Runs up chat to grab something
"a normal person cannot relate to a sociopath because our life experiences are so vastly different. You (general you) will never be able to understand what it’s like to be physically unable to care about someone to the point that it hurts because you want to care. And a socio/psychopath will never be able to understand on a visceral level what it’s like to be able to connect with another person or be able to feel things all the time or to do the right thing simply because something compels you to and not because you had to ask yourself “is this morally good or bad behavior” because you just know" - Me four days ago
Do find it interesting how Eclipse has no comment when Earth says he doesn't like her He probably likes her just fine, if I'm being honest. Probably likes her more than most other characters. He's just kinda a jerk and likes to press her buttons because it's funny
When she does manage to hit something right on the nail "It must be scary, right?" And "You just never have a sense of control" He makes a kinda-joke "Are we just going to keep talking about how sad we are" to change the topic AND SHE LAUGHED SHE LAUGHED AT HIS JOKE 👑 Ma'am you dropped this
I do personally Eclipse's sense of humor because it's pretty on point with my own, but I also really enjoy people being uncomfortable with it as well because that's half the fun. So I'm getting a small amount of dark enjoyment of Earth being uncomfortable at the boom joke
((Earth did awesome considering the circumstances. I can respect the fact that she is communicating her own emotional and mental needs even while dealing with someone who's not exactly pleasant for the general populace. She's gotten a lot better at setting boundaries))
Eclipse walks out because he's irritated with Moon. It's a power play. "I may have been forced to be here, but you can't make me sit and listen to you." He honestly had no idea what Moon would have said at the moment, and I also don't think that it would have been the best timing for Moon to drop that on him. They need a calm environment where neither of them is worked up to start touching that topic. Also MOON He's apologizing for something that isn't even his fault and while I can respect that, I almost wish he wasn't taking the blame for something a past self did. Just like how Eclipse is trying not to take accountability for what dead-man Eclipse did. They're two people who have been hurt by the actions of their predecessors and are playing out a game that was set into motion long long before their time. Now the only question that remains is who is Romeo and who is Juliet
Anyway that was the episode
Am taking inquiries and demands as well as bounties for my head

Th Queen of Hearts- Kyojuro Rengoku x Reader WIP
Another new WIP tease by Witch? Yup, it sure is! I know I have more WIPS going than anyone ever should, but I just can't help it. I have severe ADHD and an overly active imagination!
This scene snippet comes from one of my multi chapter fics I am working on. This one is called 'The Queen of Hearts." I dreamed about this scene so I had to write it out as soon as I woke up before I could forget it lol.
A Little big of background for this scene: This is a modern era AU. It is a Kyojuro Rengoku x Y/N story. Y/N is the adopted daughter of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. The Tsugikuni family are the 2nd most powerful family in the organization, directly under the Ubuyashiki family. In this story there are 3 Tsugikuni brothers. Kokushibo is the eldest, Yoriichi and Michikatsu are still twins. Shinobu, and Kanae are the daughers of Tamayo/Kokushibo. Muichiro/Yuichiro are the sons of Michikatsu. The Demon Slayer Corps operate out of a multi level underground facility with living quarters and more. If you prefer to read on AO3, click here ! Let me know what you think and if you would like to be tagged when I post! Likes, shares and comments are always welcome! My inbox is always open as well! Don't be shy! :)

Updated to include more of the scene: WC: 1700+
CW: violence (this is a snippet of one of the major fights), language, angst
Y/N burst through the front door of the Rengoku residence in the Hive with no knock, no warning. The alarms began to sound in the background. She had to get them out of there and fast. Not only were Ruka and Senjuro important to her, it was her duty to her beloved to make sure his family was safe. She needed them to evacuate with the others, needed to know they were far away from this battle. She was needed in the main fight which meant no one would here to protect them.
Kyojuro and Shinjuro were on a mission with her father, Yoriichi, her Uncle Kokushibo, and several of the other Hashira. The bastard Betrayer had waited patiently for the perfect time to strike. He used his insider knowledge to the advantage of their enemies and was willingly... happily spilling the blood of his unsuspecting former allies.
“Oni-chan!” Senjuro called, startled, running towards Y/N. “Listen to me, Senjuro,” she said, grabbing his shoulders and kneeling quickly. “You and your mother need to use the secret passage to get out of here. Kanae, Shinobu and the others are working on evacuating the other families. Do you remember the way we sometimes sneak out to stargaze when your brother is away?” He nodded, his big eyes even larger than normal and wide with fear. “Y-Yes.”
“Good. Get your mother and take that route. Not even my cousins know it. Your brother and I found that tunnel on accident as children, it is the safest route. You must go, immediately. When you get out of the Hive, call your brother. They have jammed our signals inside.”
“But Oni-chan-”
“No buts, Senjuro.”
“What on earth is going on?” Ruka asked as she came into the room drying her hands on a towel.
Y/N gave Senjuro a tight hug before standing and turning to face his mother, delivering the grave news herself to the woman who was like a mother to her, and someday would be her mother in law. If she lived through this night.
“Michikatsu has attacked with Muzan’s support,” Y/N told her, feeling the horror in her heart reflected on Ruka’s face. “Senjuro and you need to leave immediately. You will go through Kyojuro and my secret passage. Please, Ruka, do not argue. Losing the 2 of you would devastate me, my father, Kyojuro and Shinjuro please so many others.”
Y/N moved to pull Ruka into a tight hug which the woman immediately returned without hesitation like she always had. Y/N pulled back and placed her hands on the older woman’s shoulders. “The Ubuyashikis have already been evacuated, with Shinobu, Gyomei, and several other corps members as their protection. I have given Mitsuri and Obanai directions to where the tunnel comes out and they will meet you there with Tamayo, the twins and the other young ones. They will help get you to one of the safe houses and stay as protection. He should have no reason to go after you all, but we need to know you are safe.”
“You are separating your family from each other? What about Kanae? And who will stay to fight with you?”
Y/N appreciated Ruka’s concern but she could hear the battle raging on the other side of that door. She answered the questions as quickly and thoroughly as she could given the situation. “Kuwajima, Urokodaki, Masachika, Kanae, the Uzuii ladies and I will stay to fight along with the Slayers. Separating our family is the best strategy. At least one of us Tsugikuni girls and those twins have to survive. As the youngest female child, she will have the least value to Michikatsu. He is least likely to chase her. Additionally, Shinobu is a skilled swordswoman in her own right and will also assist with the protection of the Master and his family. Please, go. Hurry. Call Kyojuro once you are out of the Hive and enroute to the safe house.”
“Be careful, " Ruka said, her face settling into it's familiar calm.
Y/N gave them both a smile, taking them in one more time. Just in case this was the last time she saw them or they saw her. “Get going. I love you both. I will see you soon!”
And with that she raced from their residence and joined the fray outside. She was the daughter of the man who was considered to be the greatest swordsman to ever live. He had trained her personally. Trained her in the art of swords and in what it means to be a Tsugikuniin the Hive. They were the 2nd most important family in the colony and the history of the Hive and the Corps. The Ubuyashiki were not only the face of the organization, they were the founding family and the heart of it all. Every single person here was sworn allegiance to them. The Tsugikuni family handled the business portion and the overseeing of the Corps members - training, discipline, instructions, and more.
Y/N knew that now was when she needed to step up and be a leader. Be the person that inspired and directed the slayers. As long as the Ubuyashiki kids and Amane escaped… As long as the Ubuyashiki family live on, there was hope for the Hive and its Corps. She had no wish to die, but she would not die lying down. She would fight until her last breath. She was the daughter of Yoriichi Tsugikuni after all.
Y/N took out the demon scum and defectors as she went. She had bigger fish to fry and that meant she was not above shoving them over the guardrails to crash into the floor many stories below, splattering their worthless remains on the floor.
She saw Kanae being overwhelmed and ran to help. Her cousin was an amazing swordswoman, but even they could get in bad situations. Her heart was racing but she worked to keep her calm. Her cousin and her people needed her calm.
Suddenly she felt an incredibly powerful presence behind her and her long hair was grabbed in a tight fist, yanking her back harshly enough to make her grunt. She refused to cry out. She would not give this bastard betrayer the satisfaction.
“Well, well, well. If it is not the little princess I was looking for,” Michikatsu’s voice reached her ears. She could hear the smirk in his voice and it bothered her on a soul deep level.
“Uncle Katsu, what is the meaning of this?” She asked, straining against his grip.
He ripped her sword from her hand, seemingly breaking several of her fingers in the process and began to walk, not bothering to stop or slow down when she tripped and fell to her knees. He dragged her with him, ignoring the feel of her nails digging into his flesh and clawing at them. His fist was knotted in her long hair close to her scalp intentionally so she was unable to just cut her hair to free herself.
“I am taking what should have been mine from the start. You and the others are in my way.”
“And your twins?” Y/N mentioned his 14 year old boys, her baby cousins almost 6 years younger than her. “What about Muichiro and Yuichiro’s future? Their lives?”
He let out a sadistic laugh. “If they die, it is of no consequence to me. I am a demon now, I do not fear a mortal death.”
“And Hitori?” Y/N mentioned his wife.
“I killed her already. She no longer had a purpose.”
Y/N saw red and started fighting against her uncle even harder. He yanked her to her knees with the hand still fisted in her hair and slapped her across the face. She glared into his eyes, a menacing looking behind her own glare.
“I cannot wait for my sword to taste your blood, you fucking bastard!”
“Such language just proves you are not suitable to be an heir,” Michikatsu sneered, bending down and getting into her face. “You shouldn’t be an heir anyways. You are just a piece of trash my brother adopted out of pity and a misplaced sense of duty from your pathetic mother begging him with her last words. No one ever wanted you or would have chosen you.”
Y/N’s hand was able to grip the hidden Nichirin switchblade she kept in her boot for emergencies. She would not go down without a fight, she repeated to herself. She would not let his poisonous words into her heart nor allow them to influence her in any.
“You are wrong! While my father may not have chosen to end up with me that fateful night 15 years ago, he chose to keep me and raise me and love me”
She moved quickly, shoving her knife up into his jugular. She knew it wouldn’t be enough to kill him, but she hoped it would be enough to break his hold.
Such was not her luck as he yanked the blade free, sputtering as he tossed it, his blood falling on both of them, before he instantly closed the wound. If the 6 eyes decorating his face, with Number One engraved in his middle eyes, were not enough to show her the truth of his betrayal, being able to heal his wounds cemented in her mind that he was in fact now a demon.
Michikatsu’s nails grew into sharp talons, drawing his hand back to swipe down. He glared down at her with a menacing look on his face and a purely sadistic smile that reflected in his eyes. “I don’t need you alive to show the corps you have fallen. I wanted to kill you while those idiots who adore you watched, but I can easily change my plans into displaying your dead, worthless body. Maybe even just your decapitated head."
Before he could reach her with the killing blow, a blast from a shotgun rang out. The person behind the gun having expert enough aim to shoot through both of her uncle’s wrists with one shot. Her uncle’s hands separated from his body, giving Y/N the chance to scuttle backwards, yanking his severed hand from her hair. She looked up, seeing Genya standing several levels above aiming over the guard railing.
“Get out of here, Y/N!!” He yelled, fear etched into his face before he disappeared, rejoining the fray.
She appreciated his assistance, but she would not back down from this fight. She found her discarded sword not far from where they stood, getting to her feet and assuming the stance her father and Kyojuro had taught her, sucking in air and entering what athletes called the zone, Total Concentration.
Y/N steeled her spine and narrowed her eyes. She held her head high as she faced her uncle who now assumed a similar stance with his own blade drawn. He was as legendary of a swordsmen as her father was, but she refused to let that intimidate her. She refused to let him intimidate her.
Her loved ones had called her Princess since she was little, a term of endearment she had never even once minded. Today, she held it even closer to her heart. Through the blazing fires of betrayal, like a phoenix rising, she was renewed. As of today, a queen was born.

I hope these questions aren’t offensive, you can just delete this ask if they are… Did it help you, mentally speaking, to be officially diagnosed as ADHD? Like, is it easier to know for a fact you’re neurodivergent and not just,,, weird? I’m pretty sure I’m autistic, and only undiagnosed because I’m a girl and I test well (my brother is autistic and has the same tendencies and reactions I do, but he got dx’d at 5), but on the other hand, what if I’m wrong? And I’m also a broke college student, so I’m kinda waffling on whether or not to actually pursue a doctor’s opinion, but I thought I’d ask your advice first, since you’re both a complete stranger and have gone through something similar
Anon, you sent this in SEPTEMBER, my apologies, it got pushed down a bit in my askbox.
The thing is...okay I'll talk about the psychological impact in a minute, but I also feel like it's the least relevant aspect, for me. Whatever a diagnosis did for my sense of self, what it also did was give me a document that impacts everything else in my life.
With a diagnosis I have access to medication that materially improves my condition (which is less the case with autism than with ADHD, admittedly). I have access, should I want it, to accommodations for my disability; those are imperfectly applied, you often have to fight hard to actually get them implemented, but especially as a student you would be given access to things like longer time periods for tests, study aids like audio recordings of your required reading, extra tutoring, pre-registration access to classes, etc. based on need.
This bleeds over into the mental health aspect a little, but I am also more confident in my research on ADHD because I have a medical doctor's opinion that yes I do indeed have it (and evidence of that from the efficacy of the medication).
In terms of whether it helped me mentally/emotionally...research is ongoing, I suppose. It didn't emotionally devastate me the way it did my mother, when she was diagnosed late with learning disabilities, but she came from a different generation and didn't grow up with a sibling who was diagnosed young, so she had different issues than I do. There is some bitterness about my late diagnosis, but that's situational, and I'm old enough to know how to work through/past it. I suppose it gives me more confidence in asking for informal accommodations -- recently at a party I asked someone if we could move rooms because I couldn't process what they were saying over the two conversations happening behind me -- but I was already pretty good at that. I'm having to re-examine some basic beliefs I held about who I am, but that's not a bad thing, just unpleasant to be in the middle of.
So now to the heart of it: "What if I'm wrong?"
First, almost nobody who self-diagnoses is whole-cloth wrong when it comes to neurodivergence. They might have the wrong diagnosis, or might not fully understand what's going on, but when that "Oh, I'm different" light flicks on, it's usually for a reason.
Second, okay, what if you are wrong? It's okay if you're just weird. You won't be punished for being Neurotypical-But-Weird any more than society was already punishing you, so you risk nothing in getting tested in that sense. You don't lose any ground, and you gain some self-knowledge. Might not be the self-knowledge you wanted, but it's not going to kill you.
True, there is the cost to consider, but as a student you should be able to go to the campus health center and at least get more advice on how testing would work, the costs etc. Your school's disability office, if they have one, may also have resources in that regard. It IS important to get adequately tested -- a lot of people miss a diagnosis because their evaluator's idea of testing was "asking combative questions and dismissing the answers" -- but more knowledge is always better than less.
The only downside to testing is that if you do get an official diagnosis, that can follow you for life -- earlier discussions I've had about this have brought up the fact that it can impact job placement, whether you're allowed to adopt or care for children, and other issues surrounding the way we punish people with disabilities for being disabled. A diagnosis of Autism can impact you legally. But I also think it's worth it to know and to have documentation that says you need accommodation.
I mean. This hasn't been the most fun process in the world, but I do think it's been one of the most important things I've done in my life. If you felt strongly about your self-diagnosis I'd say don't bother with the official, just live your life as if you had one, but it sounds like you have a lot of self-doubt -- so I'd work, as and how you're able, to lay that doubt to rest one way or another.
