Probably!! They're very similar in terms of temperament, but Korra does have that more grounded element to her that would balance Suiren's general hissiness quite nicely. And actually, back before Kuviren became a thing, I did say to Kat that someone like Korra would be a good fit for Suiren. Oh, and also in the Under the Oak's Shade universe Suiren takes Mako's place as Korra's "I really like you and think we're made for each other!!" crush, but it doesn't go anywhere because Suiren recognises that it stems from a sheltered teen getting close with someone her own age for the first time and thus rejects her, RIP

If it were to happen though, it would most likely have to be in an AU because in canon-adjacent verses their traumas are way too intertwined. Suiren lost her parents to Korra, twice, and Korra was put through her worst suffering by Suiren's parents. Even though I think that post-SotRL they end up on decent terms, Korra would never manage to be fully objective when it comes to the Red Lotus and Suiren still fundamentally believes that the Avatar shouldn't exist, even if she doesn't try to get rid of Korra. But ngl, there is something strangely fascinating to the cognitive dissonance all that would cause between the two of them. Might be worth exploring if I'm ever even more bored out of my mind than I am now

@digimon02countdown Day 7 - What do you love about Digimon Adventure 02?

While my attachment to Digimon started and persisted due to my love to the original Adventure, there are still quite a few things about 02 that always kept me around. I have already hinted at it in previous posts; the relationships, similarities and support between the "older" and "new" Chosen Children, the concept of the multiverse, Jogress evolution (also the fact that my OTP are absolute dads to the kids)... But I'd say the most important aspect for me is the bonding between the characters. And nothing signifies this more for me, nothing is as outstanding, significant and vibrant - as the development of the relationship between Daisuke and Ken.

I would argue that, overall, no relationship gets that much focus, that much visible positive development than these two. And yes, upon getting asked, I will never deny that, in my opinion, there is a sense of romantic tension between them too, but in this post, I just want to write about how fascinating, soothing and beautiful their bond is to me in general.

Their initial set-up is, once again, that of rivals. That is a theme Digimon has always been playing with - but I'd say no other series threw that trope for a loop like this before. On one hand, there is the fact that they're both playing football, even ending up facing each other at a point in the series where Ken is still considered to be that perfect, untouchable genius, good at and with everything, while Daisuke is considered a thick-headed knucklehead, goodhearted, but brash and not really talented in many areas - and yet, he still admired Ken at this point. Then of course, there is the fact that they're on opposing ends, enemies in the Digital World, having brutal, cruel fights against one another as Chosen Child vs. Digimon Kaiser - until the spell breaks, with the Crest of Miracles breaking Ken's curse.

And from now on, the boy - who's responsible for his own Digimon partner's death and the suffering of so many others - will have to face the aftermath of what he's done, dealing with guilt and self-esteem issues, feeling unworthy and unlovable.

But then there is Daisuke - the only one who immediately wants to give him the chance to atone for what he's done. He is not forgiving him right away, but wants him to be able to make up for everything - and with kindness and the persistence to not let him sacrifice himself and die, they achieve the unthinkable: Their Digimon combine, their hearts pound in sync. They seem to be connected in ways that make Daisuke get excited - and scare the heck out of Ken. He thought he didn't have anything or anyone else but his reborn Digimon partner and family, and now there's this boy he used to fight, he used to be enemies with... Who simply wants to be his friend, who wants them to be "partners" and work together.

It's confusing, it's scary. While Daisuke is sure that they're meant to be and fight next to each other, it takes time for Ken to feel ready to take the steps towards him, the others, forming bonds, friendships. But Daisuke being Daisuke makes it so much easier for him to let his walls down, slowly but steadily enabling him to show his gentle and soft side, starting to trust and rely on him as much as he does in return.

And Daisuke? Daisuke is displaying a sense of confidence and comfort that we rarely saw before - he tended to be so focused on impressing others, covering up his own insecurities with cockiness. But his bond with Ken makes all his natural kindness and straightforwardness come through easily. He may appear more simple-minded at first glance, but his heart has the right priorities - and he'll do what it takes to save Ken, from himself, from darkness, helping him to be his true self.

Daisuke doesn't doubt their connection for a second - and that's why it's so important that Ken is still able to shake him. That he has an impact on him like no other. He will give Ken all the time he needs to face his demons, to do the things that are uncomfortable to him - and he'll be by his side all the way.

They are partners, they've got each other's backs. And as long as they don't lose sight of themselves and each other, it will always be this way.

Soundwave has gone mute due to the grief of losing its beloved Cassettes, and instead uses others voices to speak. Still, it finds it has trouble voicing its true thoughts and feelings.

Soundwave thoroughly enjoys human music and art. It even has a hacked Spotify account and will listen to music while its flying, alone, or even share it with those closest to it.

Soundwave has managed to get itself connected to the internet, and will regularly do internet searches on things it is unfamiliar with. It also enjoys watching movies and videos.

Soundwave has a strong EM field, which it uses to hone its telepathy, and occasionally share emotions it cannot express.

Soundwave is not emotionless. It feels a lot, actually, but cannot express that.

It uses many emoticons to express what it's feeling, all with their own different meanings.

Soundwave's telepathy is touch based.

Before the war, Soundwave was a gladiator with Megatron. It honed its skills and life long friendship with the Decepticon leader in the pits of Kaon. It trusts Megatron with its life because of their shared experiences. Its loyalty to the Decepticon cause runs deeper than politics.

Soundwave loves its Cassettes. It will put itself in the line of fire to protect them, and will protect them even if it means certain death. In the universes where its Cassettes have gone offline, it's extremely vengeful and will stoop to murder to avenge its beloveds.

The Cassettes were built by Soundwave's own servos. A sliver of its spark splits off, and it only has a few days to build a spark chamber, the beginnings of a protoform and install an internal repair system. The process is extremely time and resource intensive, hence why it has not made new Cassettes during the war.

Came back from school to see my question got answered ^^ And now instead of studying for my exams which are this week I will be doing this instead >:3

When i say they feel distant i mean like they seem to argue alot like when Error was refusing to help watch Killer Nightmare felt the need to guilt trip (idk if thats the right word) him in order to get him to help. It doesnt feel like they trust each other very much based on this interaction alone. Even at the two arguments, I noticed that Nightmare was continually provoking Error.

Few other questions: I remember reading another question and the end of ur answer was smth like "Killer clings to Nightmare and Cross clings to Error" I wonder if thats still canon cuz idk when you answered👀

How will Error be related to the gang like will he just be someone who hangs around them or smth? Will he make more appearances in future chapters?

1. Unfortunately, yeah, even if they are close by technically, it doesn’t mean they are heathy. They are kinda like childhood friends who have grown into different people but still cling out of convenience and remaining love. If they met as adults, they wouldn’t get along, but they have history to them. They know how to push each other’s buttons, and since they have no one else to fight with without the fear of losing them, they target one another. That’s where their trust comes in, as they are the only people on the whole multiverse that they have. Sure, they are passing friends with Reaper, especially Error, but neither trust him enough to be themselves. They both know the other will never leave, so both can be utter assholes to one another, and taunt to get it out of their systems. It’s not healthy and it’s built upon their grief and subconscious blame towards each other and themselves after losing Ink.

They are in a bitter stage of their lives right now. One day, they’ll get back to who they use to be. For now, there’s only hints thru Killer’s perspective.

2. Error and Cross are parallels to Nightmare and Killer, and that’s all I can rlly say until Cross’s chapters. But yes, that’s still canon.

3. Error will have full chapters dedicated to him in the future! He’s not officially apart of the bad sanses, and is more of an ally to Nightmare as he doesn’t care for the other bad sanses besides Cross and Horror (who don’t come in until much later)

4. LOL I LOVE ERROR TOO! I’ve made jokes about how he’s my husband and I even jokingly got a body pillow of him to match with best friend irl mil_leon on tiktok. He will win this year….trust…

However, he isn’t my favorite! My favorite is core frisk, and ppl used to call me that as a joke and as a nickname!

I have four OTPS, actually. BlackCoffee (reaper and Ccino), ColorKiller (rainbowknife), Errormare, and Drink. Shockingly, Errormare isn’t my favorite. DRINK is. I absolutely adore Drink with everything in me and if I ever see art of it I will kick my feet, and scream with joy. I have multiple analyses about them just IN MY DOCS bout how perfect they are for one another but that’s the story for another day.

Some others I really enjoy tho are BloodMoon (Geno and Nightmare), Crink, Horrorfarm, lowkey Dustswap BUT IN A VERY SPECIFIC WAY AND NOT IN THE OLD FANDOM WAY THWY HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE GOOD GUYS PPL JUST WRITE IT SUPER WEIRD, CrossxKiller (only bc my gf and I relate to them!), and Driller!

5. I really recommend binge watching ginjanijaowo and their speedpaints and character design videos! June taught me a LOT about character design and watching them draw inspires me a lot. I also suggest doing ugly arm up sketches before each important project to get the rust off! Don’t limit urself to only one anatomy technique- as I’ve tried every single one in existence and still developed my own. Drawing is all about finding what works for YOU and sometimes, the big popular artists techniques just won’t. Like… doing the gesture line is a very important part of the process….that I will never do LOL

However, giving art advice is tricky as it’s easier to focus on one aspect you want help on so the artist ur asking can focus their advice better! Like asking about anatomy, drawing heads, animatics, story boarding, etc! I wouldn’t mind doing any tutorials for those types of questions!

in defense of "multishipping"

Texts are inherently multiple; the evidence within them can be read more than one way. All stories are multiverses of possibilities - directions things might have gone and still been plausibly in keeping with the rules of the worldbuilding and characterization.

And that is why I multiship. If there's good canon evidence for A/B and A/C and I find both dynamics enjoyable, I can explore and enjoy them without there being an issue. I see no reason to deny myself enjoyment in fictional dynamics that move me and/or make my brain and heart happy.

A/B and A/C canon divergence fic from key canon moments when they might have gone off and had a life together or gotten together in ways that changed the story are just as valid. As long as I maintain that connection to the textual evidence (characterization, worldbuilding, etc) then it's fine. I don't have to choose. Both can coexist simultaneously - that's part of the fun of fiction.

(And AUs can be even more distant from canon, but I prefer mine pretty close - I like to make a divergence at a certain point, but keep to the "rules" of the world and characters otherwise).

I consider it multishipping when I have a two person and three person poly ship for the same character, btw, even if A & B characters are in both ships - because a poly relationship (as with poly relationships irl!) is its own, distinct dynamic, not merely two dynamics (A/B and A/C) squished together. IRL poly relationships require a lot of communication and work for a *reason*.

Sometimes I have an OTP and no interest in any other dynamics (my only ship for The X Files is Mulder and Scully - this has been true my entire life since childhood!). But for many characters, I'll have multiple dynamics I like - A/B, A/C, and/or A/B/C. It's literature so I can enjoy "mutually contradictory" dynamics because… texts are inherently multiple and there's good textual evidence that I like which supports all three of these. I can analyze the text in different ways, spin off canon divergence and au scenarios etc.

If there's canon support for it and it makes your brain happy, it's valid to ship. There is no requirement for "monogamous shipping." None of the characters are real - they only exist inside a text with multiple valid readings.

This is especially true of storyverses where a "multiverse" or multiple timelines are literally canon! A can be with B in one universe/timeline and C in another and A/B/C in another etc.

And "noncanon" ships are just as valid as canon ones btw - in fact, sometimes I will invest the most effort in drawing out and developing the textual evidence for a ship I suspect won't be canon (or, if canon, not "end game") precisely because the show/movie cannot possibly do every viable, textually grounded option. And I want to articulate the one that we aren't likely to see explored.

The Play Times Octopath Traveler II

Play Time: 9️⃣0️⃣Hours ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 10/15/2024

I didn't 100% the first Octopath Traveler, and I just finished the last chapters of the 8 traveler's. So, it's nice to see the little crown in the title screen—that shows that you're done with the game. I finished all of the quests in II, but I didn't bother to 100% it. Besides, there's no percentage progress indicator in the game, so as long as you just finished all the quests, I think it's completed—or maybe "beaten" is the right term—already. I didn't bother to purposely trigger all the banter scene, collect the music, steal and scrutinize all NPCs, search every corner for chests, etc. Octopath Traveler II is definitely much better than the first one, but no one can take the spot of my Favorite Octopath Traveler Character—Therion. It might be nice if there's a DLC where we can interact with the first eight travelers in the first game, but I don't think they're with the same setting? A multiverse-thingy maybe? Anyway, the QoL, and mechanics are definitely gotten better compared to the first one. And hopefully, in the Octopath Traveler III—let's just hope that there will be a III—more QoL and mechanics, and more interaction between the eight travelers. More collectibles, and more content. I don't care how much long would it take to beat the game, as long as it's enjoyable, that's what's important.

My Favorite Traveler: Throné Anguis🗡️

I like assassin-type character, and what's the most assassin-like class in the game?—It's the Thief. That's why I choose her as my main character (the first chapter that I finished). Her story is good, but it has a little impact on me—I love mystery stories but not dark. Her skills are mid, because she's probably built for being a debuffer unless you've unlocked the Aeber's Reckoning which hits really hard as long as you have enough Phys. Atk. and Speed. Her Latent Power is the most awesome to all though in my opinion—two turns in one wave is a game-changing mechanics, especially in late game where the boss is too thick. Overall, I love her.

My OTP: Temenos X Crick (If only he lives...)

I love the chemistry of this two. The brain and the brawn. But when I researched about this two, I saw that Temenos' canon age is 30, and Crick's 22. Well, who cares about a little of age gap. Besides, Temenos doesn't looks like 30 at all! Gender doesn't matter, but I think we should consider the age... but 8 years gap is probably not that high—as long as it's not 18 and 10.

Overall Strength Throné - She's just over leveled in my case, because she never left my party, not once. In short, this is just biased-ry. Castti > Temenos > Hikari > Agnea > Ochette > Osvald > Partitio

Others Best Physical Damage Dealer: Hikari (Next is Throné) - I don't like Hikari that much, but I can't really lie that he's not strong, just because I like Throné. Best Elemental Damage Dealer: Temenos (Yes, Not Osvald) - And then after Temenos (w/ Alpione's Amulet and 1 HP and a lot of SP) uses his Sacred Effulgence to one shot all enemies, he proceed to says: "Fighting is... not what I do." Best Support: Castti - Everyone can be a good support with a proper Secondary Job—the best one is Cleric in my opinion, because of Aelfric's Blessing which grants you the ability to act again at the end of a turn. But no one except Castti has the Concoct ability, which is overpowered and good for bosses.

....Well, I'm gonna get eaten alive for answering this, but I'm so bored right now I also do not care. How to put this.... It's not necessarily that I find Tomberly to be an inherently bad pairing, or find that the people who have this for their OTP to be especially unpleasant in every facet of their being. No, it's more like...a very specific type of Tomberly shipper that can--and HAS--ruined my day because they cannot FATHOM these two characters, SPECIFICALLY, being in a relationship outside of each other and making it the entire rest of the fandom's problem. Like, in the 90s, I could understand it. I was in kindergarten, but it was literally one of the first ever kid show pairings that delivered a kiss and felt like they were perfect. Fine, great, awesome. But it is 2023. They are now the ONLY Rangers LIVE that have kissed, and a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of these shippers feels like that's destiny, it is written in the stars: They were Meant to Be. They Are The Best. There Will Never Be Another True Pairing. They are the LOUDEST and MOST ANNOYING about this when literally anything in media shows the characters in another, different romantic relationship (Tommy) or perfectly happy and fulfilled being on their own (Kim). And I am stuck with that one scene from the Birds of Prey/Harley Quinn movie just BLASTING in my brain every time one of these fans crosses my dash with a snide remark about Tommy/Kat in ANY narrative, or making heart eyes at Kim just standing next to Drakkon in the comics in any dimension ever:

And this is not even bringing up how they are generally dismissive of other characters outside of these two, because where one goes, the other follows. (Examples: Trini, Zack, Jason, Kat, Tanya, J.J., Hayley, Bulk and Skull--not getting into it with these two, but it is a PROBLEM--and on and on and on.) Not to mention they have a tendency to dismiss any flaws (Kim being selfish, a little manipulative, dismissive of other people's feelings, too into her looks, sometimes being too one-track minded vs Tommy's lack of any personality outside of being a Ranger, being secretive and dramatic in the early days, constantly picking fights, making everything a big deal, being a doormat, being too submissive, being jealous) as just bad writing/bad acting, instead of just... Understanding that maybe there is a POINT to this? These are the inconvenient shippers mind you. These exist in every fandom, it's just a little harder to avoid them when you're in a SMALL fandom. What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)? I kind of have too many muses to answer this question. Assume canon (tm) because I'm pretty basic when it comes to that, with a few exceptions.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping? Within the realm of normal stuff (tm), I'm down to try anything! Within the realm of darker topics and toxic relationships, as long as we've all discussed it / there aren't any hard no topics (which are listed in the rules, and pretty straightforward for the most part) and we're all okay with it, I'm also down to do some exploration! I think relationships are complicated and as long as we acknowledge what's wrong with one it's fun to explore some dysfunction. Anyway, I don't typically write nsfw either but I do do fade to blacks / if I'm really super comfortable with you it might be something we could discuss.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable? You know, writing in xianxia makes this hard. I think in a normal (tm) non-xianxia timeline, as long as everybody is well over Adult Age / the equivalent of 30 (tm), I'll typically accept up to a 12 year gap. Any more over that feels like it's approaching the territory of weird (tm). If it's xianxia as long as everybody is well over adult age I'll go hundreds of thousands of years without so much as blinking hhhh

Are you selective when shipping? Yes and no! I tend to jump the gun when it comes to ships because I'm enthusiastic about trying things. If characters have some kind of chemistry I'm typically all for jumping straight in without too much preamble. On the other hand, if it's really not working or I really just don't think a ship will work I don't want to compromise in order to try to ship! Dupes are another area where I'm a little selective. Only if I think I can offer a different perspective or a different vibe for a ship I already have with a particular character will I try to ship with a dupe of that character. I don't want anybody to feel interchangeable with anybody else and I want to respect everybody's individual portrayal!

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW? To preface: NSFW is a rare occurrence on this blog, as I typically do fade to blacks. On the particular occasion when I need to tag NSFW however, I feel I'm bad at judging this threshold??? I'm an overzealous tagger, so I think a lot of times my read mores and my tags are used on things that may not be considered *very* nsfw! My judge for whether or not to tag/read more really depends on my own innate "what the fuck can I really post this on tumblr" meter. Which is to say, I'll tag everything but how hard I blush about what I wrote determines whether or not I throw it under a read more. I think statistically this is typically when: clothes come off, people are touching in private areas, or, and this one may only pertain to me - they're saying things they wouldn't want anyone other than their current partner to hear.

How often do you like to ship? uh, contrary to my "not ship obsessed" personality...quite a lot! It's a fun part of rp that I don't tend to deprive myself of! I am happy to write any kind of relationship between two muses, however! All the while main Nagito and Nagiko are just laughing in the background eating popcorn. Just to be clear I treat main Nagito and Protag!Nagito's OTP as "Insert preferred ship here". It could be Komahina. Or it could be something as wild as a resurrected cyborg Yasuke for the Matsukoma diehards.

I do also have this one idea I've mused about for Nagiko's flings. Generally speaking she actually doesn't hold the many Kamukuras of the multiverse in high regard. Feeling that the novelty wears off fast, as once you've met one Kamukura, you've met most of them. Channeling Stillwell from the comic The Boys and thinking like "What have you thought of to do that the lowest speck of humanity couldn't, were they to be granted your level of power?". Being especially unimpressed by the ones that try to assuage their boredom by joining Junko or doing something else she considers equally dull and unproductive.

But there are exceptions to that. Like one Natsumizuru that she took a fondness to. Who had a bit more of a spark in her than a lot of other Kamukuras did, and channeled her talents in more productive ways to stave off boredom. I have this one mental image of Nagiko trolling main Fuyuhiko by not-so-subtly implying she had a thing going on with an alternate superhuman version of his sister. Being all like "Man she was rough, if I didn't have a reinforced skeleton that girl would have demolished my spine."

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE? 

This is gonna sound weird, but it depends on the species of the muses. If it's two human muses I probably wouldn't want to go maybe more than 20 years? And that's assuming the youngest muse is at least 21. The exception in regards to species is vampires and fae, any species with longevity spanning centuries and beyond. some of the age gaps with those muses can get excessive, but I would still say that physically in appearance they'd have to be within the around 20 years (if that makes sense). Of course ALL if this is with the assumption that all muses are over the age of 18. We ain't out here imprinting on babies. I'm side-eyeing Twilight hard at this one.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

Somewhat! I love the build up in a ship. And when it comes to my male muses, if you completely ignore my girls, I won't ship my male muses. I have seen it far to many times where people completely ignore someone's female muses and solely write with the male muses while constantly hinting at shippy things in the thread. It gets demotivating, so please don't ignore my female muses who would love even platonic interactions, or enemy interactions in favour or trying to force ships with my guys.

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH? 

I will legit ship anything. I do have a spreadsheet (yes I'm that extra) with all my muses, their sexualities, their preferences and potential canon ships, who I won't ship them with and if shipping with them is open. You can find that here.

I love Voldemort as a villian. He is the best villian ever. I headcanon him as not believing in the pure blood bullshit though. Voldemort hates muggles of course. That's my opinion and how I see the character.

I'm happy to ship Rhodey with other Marvel characters and OCs/fandom crossovers based on chemistry, but unless they're on my OTP list, they need plotting and interaction first. There is never any pressure to ship with me, even if they're on my list.

616: A mix of comics and headcanons where Rhodey and Clint Barton were dating pre-Civil War and chose opposite sides, ending the relationship. As this is not an MCU verse and Vision was not involved, Rhodey wasn't seriously injured.

3490: A blip universe in the comics where Steve Rogers and Natasha Stark are married, and the Avengers' Civil War never happens. I'm most comfortable writing this version of him, so feel free to have your muse playing tourist in his dimension or vice versa, especially if the age is off.
