One-Shot: A complete story in a single chapter, independent and not part of a series. Length can vary widely, from a few hundred to several thousand words.

Drabble: A very short piece, usually exactly 100 or 500 words, though in practice it may vary a bit. Drabbles are ideal for exploring a single idea or a brief scene in one specific place and time.

Headcanon: Refers to ideas a fan develops about a character or situation that aren’t confirmed in the official work. These are often lists of traits or situations, like personality characteristics or relationship details, and are frequently shared within a fandom group. In my case, unlike the conventional Tumblr style, which tends to be brief and focused on specific character or universe aspects, my headcanons are presented as micro-stories. Each headcanon is almost like a small tale.

Fic (or Fanfic): A fictional story written by fans based on characters or worlds from existing works. It can be of any length and is part of a broader category of fanfiction. These often need to meet specific requirements to be accepted.

Imagine: Brief imaginary scenarios featuring characters from a work, generally responding to a given situation.

Crackfic: Absurd or extravagant stories created to be funny or bizarre, without aiming for logical plot.

Crossover: A story that combines characters or universes from two or more different series. This creates interesting situations and crosses fandoms, like seeing "Harry Potter" characters in the "Star Wars" universe.

NSFW (Not Safe For Work): Explicit or sexual content that is unsuitable for public or workplace viewing. This content may include sexual or violent themes and is often labeled as a warning for readers.

PWP (Plot? What Plot? or "Prn Without Plot”): A type of fanfic where the main focus is sexual or intimate content without much plot. It’s often used simply for erotic content without an elaborate story behind it.
