Today's my mother's birthday. Since my father is too lazy to make anything for her, she's too upset. So along with me, I want you all to do something for her so that dhe can be really happy today so that she will think that she's not the unluckiest person as along with her facebook friends, her daughter and her friends love her too.

My mother passed away at the end of March. When my birthday came around, all I wanted was her. I wrote this poem that day & did a FB reel, w/photos & a voice over. I doubt you can view the reel, so I’m sharing the poem here.:

Oh Beautiful Soul

You were such a gift

A gift to the world

A gift to community

A gift to each person, individually

Your life bore lessons

Lessons of love

Lessons of compassion

Lessons of understanding

You showed us how to give

To give our whole selves

To that which we were passionate about

And those whom we loved

You showed us how to live fully

To dig deep & find what lights a spark within…

Then to take that spark,

& unapologetically set the world afire with it!

You taught

You taught for a living

But you also taught just by being

You taught us to hold onto our inner child

And no matter what life brings

Not to lose the joy that resides inside

You lived well

Till your very last breath

You lived your life

You gave of yourself

You did, “Go, see, do”

You loved…

You loved deeply…

you loved hard…

oh how you loved!

I am me only because of you!

I’m not ready to do life without you…
