Thinking about Alex’s recent interview and its confirmation of how I view Stancest... Desperately needing each other! Indeed!

I think what many people don’t get about Stan and Ford’s dynamic as children, or even as teenagers, is that, no matter what Stan and Ford think or say about it, they were not like Mabel and Dipper. That just highlights their lack of self-awareness, my poor dumbasses.

Here’s a more lengthy analysis for any friendly soul and fellow shipper who cares to read:

Mabel and Dipper have overall very different interests and hobbies and act separately on them. They have other friends and spend time with them—well, at least Mabel has Candy and Grenda, as the bubbly social butterfly she is; Dipper seems way more preoccupied with deciphering the mysteries of Journal 3 than anything else. As fraternal twins of different genders, no matter how alike they look (and despite Mabel’s joke of being “girl Dipper”), they still manage to retain pretty distinct identities. No issue here.

With Stan and Ford, things were very different. First of all, the absurd codependency. When asked about Shermie, Alex observed that a crucial part of their dynamic is that they only had each other. No younger or older brother to support them. From my own observations about their parents, that point is only driven further home.

Filbrick is, well, Filbrick. I don’t think I need to explain much here; every one of us has different interpretations and headcanons about him, but they seem to all agree on the common factor he wasn’t a good father—how much that can be justified by their time period or stretched to accommodate the most heartwrenching stangst is up for debate, just not a subject for this post.

Caryn is more complicated. I think there’s a big tendency to treat her as a good mom, something I particularly don’t agree with as I take a Watsonian approach—that is, she might not have been intended as a questionable mother, but a questionable mother is the woman we ended up with given the writers’ lack of thought about their side characters.

This is not to say she was a horrible person, not necessarily. I think Filbrick was definitely ‘worse’ than her, so to speak, at least in a more obvious way, and she has canonically demonstrated a modicum of care/affection towards Stan. According to her, Stan’s rambunctiousness can be attributed to an excess of “personality,” he’s her “little free spirit.” She was, most notably, one of the two people present at Stan’s funeral if the info on the new website is to be trusted. We see her smiling brightly in the picture of baby Stans included in TBoB, which hints at the fact she liked her kids.

(Interestingly enough, we have so little on her relationship with Ford. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Stan was her favorite child? Most irl people with siblings I’ve encountered seem to think there’s always a favorite.)

But the fact that she, as an adult, didn’t intervene when Stan was kicked out is simply, in my point of view, inexcusable. One could say she was momentarily paralyzed from an overwhelming fear of Filbrick, as a supposed victim herself, but a) that’s already entering headcanon domain, and b) I think that’s far from the truth and directly contradicting the comics, in which she looks quite comfortable in the company of Filbrick: kissing him on the cheek, comfortingly stroking his back... I don’t think Filbrick is meant to be seen as a monster, not in an exaggerated way. (He’s shown to be touched by Stan’s little stunt with the golden chain, too.) Just a really shitty father, in a common, boring, more nuanced, no less traumatizing, way.

To me, the most telling thing of all is the fact Stan calls for Ford to help him, not his own mother. Ford, his brother, same age as him, who was at the moment beyond furious with him and very unlikely to show any compassion. Ford, whose attempts to change Filbrick’s mind would more likely than not have been unsuccessful. Not Caryn, adult, who probably had much greater sway over Filbrick. They say a child’s first instinct is to call for their mama. Clearly not in this case!

I find it fascinating how easily, in the comics, baby Stan opens up to Ford about his feelings of inferiority towards Ford himself. The sheer vulnerability of that moment. The implicit, profound trust, especially coming from someone like Stan, packed to the gills with toxic masculinity. And the manner with which Ford gently comforts him, as if he were used to do so. As Stan, too, had been shown to do when Crampelter mocked Ford’s fingers. They were clearly accustomed to being each other’s emotional pillars, in the way kids who learned early on they can’t count with adults or lean on authority figures in their lives start building their own little safe space.

(The way I see it, they got along extremely well, for better or for worse. No sibling bickering. No fights. How could they? They were literally each other’s only friend. If anything, their first major fight was caused by lack of communication, among many other things; they repressed their frustrations with each other to a ridiculous point instead of simply externalizing them like you would expect of a normal sibling dynamic.)

Second of all, they were monozygotic aka identical twins, as strongly hinted in the show, comics, and books, and as confirmed by Alex on Twitter. They were both named Stan, they had the same face. I’ve read irl identical twins’ confessions about the nature of such a relationship re: identity issues and how people tend to treat you, and it’s often not pretty. In the Stan twins case, their sense of identity was beyond blurry, and it’s not difficult to see why. If you pay attention to the show or the comics, you’ll see many hints of this unhealthiness: the way they were both called to the principal’s office, the way Stan was called a dumber, sweatier version of Ford by Crampelter, the way they had already pretended to be each other before, not in their childhood but adolescence (Stan’s idea, according to hilarious extra material in the DVDs).

I find it adorable that Ford, in the comics, basically grounded himself for Stan! Filbrick had been very clear about grounding Stan, only, not both twins. But Ford stays with him as if he were grounded as well, as if he didn’t even have a choice. Where Stan was, there was Ford, not far behind.

(As an addition that occurred to me just later, after you guys have already started reblogging my post, is that baby Ford has demonstrated this tendency before, in a much more unhinged way, when he exclaims, “Oh my God! We killed the Sibling Brothers!” Ford, honey, if anyone had killed the Sibling Brothers, it would’ve been your brother, the person who shoved them in the first place. Not you.)

They were an unit. Inseparable. As simple as that.

Until they weren’t.

In the same interview, though, Alex added: they, quote unquote, “desperately need each other” as old men. And honestly? It can’t get more intense than that.

It was a well-known fact that Clyde always threw the best parties in South Park. Whenever his dad was off on a business trip, it was go-time, and that weekend was indeed go-time.

It was one of the rare occasions when you had all decided to keep it amongst friends, with no assholes from neighbouring towns showing up for free booze and boobs. Just the South Park group.

“Bebe, my love, your tit is about to fall out,” You reached over to hike up Bebe’s dress for the fourth time that night. You had no idea how she even managed to keep it on in the first place. It was practically just a belt that barely covered her. Though you had to admit, she looked hot as hell in it. Figuratively speaking, of course, if she dared to take a step outside, she would surely freeze to death.

“I love you!” She grabbed your face in the palms of her hands, squishing your cheeks together. “You are playing spin the bottle with us!”

“Oooh, tempting, but no!” You smiled as you rolled your eyes, looking around and prying her hands off of your face. “You know as well as I do that there is only one person here I would kiss.”

“Just ask him out already!” She groaned, dropping her arms to her sides dramatically. “Oooor… Just screw someone else to take your mind off of him?”

“Babe, unless you’re suggesting yourself, I’m not interested,” You teased, grabbing her arm as she started to stumble a little. You pondered for a minute, looking around at the people you had grown up with. “I’ll play one round of spin the bottle.”

“Yes!” Bebe cheered, grabbing your face and planting a very drunken kiss on your forehead. “You beautiful bitch! Let’s get you laid!”

“Since when did the rules of spin the bottle change from a kiss to a quickie?” You joked as she pulled you towards the gathering circle. To your somewhat pleasant surprise, the object of your affection, Kyle Broflovski, had decided to play. The surprise was only somewhat pleasant as you realised that out of the 12 or so people playing, the chances of the bottle landing on him when you spun it were decreased. You could dream, though, and dream you most certainly did. Usually at night, with your hand buried between your thighs and his name on your lips.

“If it rolls on a guy, do I have to kiss him?” Clyde asked, looking around for confirmation or, rather, someone to say that he doesn’t have to.

“What’s wrong? Scared you’ll catch feelings?” You teased your friend as Bebe pulled you to sit down next to her. “Or are you scared that the feelings you’ve already caught will come out?”

“It’s just a peck on the lips,” Kenny shrugged, nudging Clyde. “It’s no big deal.”

“Kenny, dude, you’ll kiss anyone,” Stan pointed out. “Is there a penalty for not kissing someone?”

“Tolkien?” Bebe called across the circle at him. “You got the thing?”

“I sure do!” He pulled out a bottle of something so red that it was practically glowing. Whatever it was, it didn’t look natural. “Hot sauce, it’s over 2 million Scoville.”

“Is that hot?” Butters questioned, looking over at the bottle nervously.

“I’d kiss Kyle’s bitch of a mom over drinking any of that hot sauce!” Cartman announced, scowling at the bottle as though it had personally offended him.

“Hey!” Kyle threw his hands up as if to say that the comment was uncalled for, but Cartman ignored him completely.

“Let’s fucking go!” Kenny cheered, spinning the bottle first before anyone else got the chance. Everyone took it in turns. The kisses were only light aside from when Clyde landed on Bebe and fully went in making out.

Finally, it was your turn. You prayed to whatever deities may be listening as you flicked your wrist, sending the empty bottle spinning. There was one person you wanted it to land on, and you held your breath as the spinning slowed down until it eventually ceased.

You didn’t know which deity you now owed it to, but the bottle had landed on exactly who it was supposed to.

Looking up, you met eyes with Kyle Broflovski, who already had a red twinge on his face. You couldn’t tell if it was that look on his face, the alcohol already in your system, or the fact that you had waited for the better part of three years for an opportunity like this, but a wave of confidence rushed over you.

Within seconds, you had gotten up and crossed the circle to him, climbing onto his lap. The small, shocked gasp that slipped from his lips was swallowed in an instant when you pressed your lips against his. Your hands instantly found their way to his hair, the same hair that you had admired from afar, watching the curls bounce as he played basketball when he would casually brush it away from his face.

You couldn’t help yourself as you pulled on his hair, your lips catching the smallest little whimper that slipped out as you did so.

There was absolutely no battle for dominance in the kiss. He submitted to you instantly, allowing your tongue entry as you tilted your head to deepen the kiss further. Where you were, and the people observing were lost to you, all you could focus on was that you were actually kissing Kyle, and he was kissing back with just as much eagerness.

His hands had been on your waist, but they slowly inched down to grab your ass, giving it the softest squeeze as he pulled you impossibly closer.

There was only one thought on your mind when you pushed your hips against his as you straddled him. ‘More’. That’s all you wanted, more, more, more. He was intoxicating.

You were forced to pull away to breathe, but your mouth instantly latched onto his neck, determined that if this were a one-time deal, you would leave your mark.

“Jesus fucking Christ!” Cartman’s voice pulled you from your haze, and you regretfully removed your lips from Kyle’s body, though your hands remained in his hair, keeping him close to you. “Get a room!”

“Later,” You whispered before you pressed another small kiss to his lips, only to be pulled off of him by a very drunk Clyde, who just wanted the game to continue.

You caught the hopeful glint in Kyle’s eyes that confirmed to you just how interested he was in return.

“Please?” He sounded almost pathetic in this plea, but that only fueled you on more. Bebe gave you a knowing look as you rejoined her in your original space in the circle.

Another round started, and Kyle had to kiss Tolkien, but when it was your turn again, you landed on Kenny. He made his way over to you in an instant. You intended for the kiss to be a quick peck, but apparently, the blonde had other ideas as he held your head in place while he tried to deepen the kiss. You managed to push his head away and awkwardly pat his hair as a sign to ‘stay there’, unsure what else to do. Your eyes darted over to Kyle, who had a hard glare set on the back of Kenny’s head.

“I think I’m done now,” You mumbled, getting up and shuffling away from the group. You were suddenly very worried that your kiss with Kyle had sent the wrong idea to everyone else that you were up for full make-out sessions with anyone. The game didn’t last much longer after that. You did notice that Kyle had avoided his turn when it came up. You deeply regret not having done the same.

After the game wrapped up, the music was turned up, and shots were brought out. You downed one before spotting Kyle talking to Kenny in the corner. You suspected that it was about you, and you couldn’t resist getting closer to listen in to the conversation.

“Dude!” Kyle seethed through his teeth, his hand holding onto Kenny’s shirt to prevent him from getting away. “What the hell was that?”

“I did that for you!” Kenny held his arms up in defence. “I was testing her!”

“What the fuck are you on about?”

“I was making sure she was actually interested in you and not just drunk and horny and willing to sleep with anyone,” Kenny explained. You weren’t sure how to feel about that. Part of you felt used and manipulated, but another part of you was proud that you passed the test.

“And the only way you could do that was to stick your tongue down her throat?”

“She didn’t reciprocate at all!”

“Just… Don’t do that shit again, okay?” Kyle sighed deeply. “You know how I feel about her.”

“How could I not? You’ve been going on about her for years, dude,” Kenny laughed. You were sure your heart skipped a beat. Had Kyle really felt the same way about you the entire time? It was then that Kenny spotted you, or at least acknowledged you. “Oh, hey, Y/N.”

“Hey, Kenny!” You felt a little better talking to him now that you knew the context of the kiss. But your attention was primarily set on the redhead who looked more than a little flustered to see you. “Hi, Kyle.”

“Hi…” You wanted to grab his cute, flushed face and kiss him again. You wanted to pin him against the wall and see how much it would take him to beg. You wanted to make an absolute mess of him.

Instead, you just held your hand out. “Dance with me.” It wasn’t a question or even a request. It was an instruction. You could see the switch in his eyes to submission, and you revelled in the power you felt from having such a hold over him. His hand was in yours in a second, and you pulled him towards you and to the edge of the crowd of partygoers. You didn’t want to get caught up amongst everyone. You wanted to keep him for yourself and avoid the risk of others trying to interrupt your conversation. You didn’t want to share him with anyone. He was yours now.

“How much did you hear?” He asked. You could hear his shaky breath betray how nervous he truly was as he spoke. “Between me and Kenny?” You pulled him close to you as you started to sway to the music. You weren’t dancing at anywhere near the right tempo for what was playing, but you couldn’t care less.

“Enough to know that one of us should have made a move years ago,” You cooed, leaning into him further as you spoke. You purposely brushed your thigh against his clothed crotch, taking in his soft gasp and the way his hands clenched from where they had settled on your waist. “You know, out of all the nights I’ve dreamt about you and the things I’d do if I got the chance, I never took you for being a bit of an exhibitionist. You got off on people watching us back there, didn’t you?”

“Well- I- Uh-” He stumbled over his words, the tips of his ears were bright red, and he couldn’t meet your intense gaze. With a smirk, you grabbed his face in your hand, squishing his cutely flushed cheeks together as you made him look at you. You didn’t have to repeat yourself. He knew what you were saying. “Yes, I did.”

“I don’t know if I should praise you or punish you for being such a slut,” You teased. You had let go of his face to once again thread your fingers through his hair as you had while playing spin the bottle. Using the leverage you had on him, you pulled him in, hovering your lips over his but not actually kissing him. “What do you think?”

“Both,” He whispered. You could feel him struggling slightly against the grip you had on his hair to attempt to press his lips against yours, but all it did was cause you to pull his hair. The moan that he let out was unlike anything you had heard before. With a small giggle, you tested this out, voluntarily pulling on his hair again. You watched his lips snap together in an attempt to stifle the second moan, but it didn’t do much to help.

“Seven minutes in heaven!” Bebe announced, interrupting your moment with Kyle. His eyes pleaded with you to ignore it, but a plan formed in your mind that you couldn’t refuse. Your hand slipped from his hair, trailing down his neck, shoulder, and arm until you reached his hand.

“We’d better not keep them waiting,” You feigned as much innocence as you could when your mind was full of pure and utter filth. Holding his hand, you pulled him over to where the circle was regrouping after people had drunk more and danced a little. “How are we doing this?”

“Might as well spin the bottle again,” Stan shrugged, holding up another empty bottle. “Unless anyone else has a better idea?”

“Spinning the bottle sounds perfect,” You smiled, letting go of Kyle’s hand to sit back down next to Bebe. She gave you a knowing look after her eyes landed on a bewildered Kyle as he settled down next to Stan. “I have a plan, and you’re going to allow it.”

“Y/N’s up first!” Bebe grinned at the rest of the group. Stan placed the bottle down, and you leaned over to ‘spin’ it. Instead of actually spinning it, you manually turned it around once before lining it up with Kyle. You didn’t wait for anyone to call you out and make you actually spin it before you got up again, walking over and pulling Kyle up by the front of his shirt.

“That’s cheating!” Cartman pointed accusingly. “You can’t do that!”

“Go cry about it, fucker,” You glared at him for a second, but your eyes mostly focused on Kyle as you pulled him up the stairs and to what you knew to be the spare bedroom in Clyde’s house. He trailed after you like a little lost puppy, not saying a word. He was already completely at your will, and you loved it. “Seven minutes isn’t long for what I have planned for you… But we’ll make it work.”

“What do you have planned?” He asked. You could hear how nervous yet hopeful he was, and it made you melt. He was so obviously already putty in your hands, and you hadn’t even started.

“Strip for me and lay on the bed,” You instructed, pressing a soft kiss to his lips before gently pushing him backwards and towards the bed. While he was distracted, you slipped your underwear off and stuffed it in your bra so you’d be able to find it later.

Kyle followed your request until he got to his boxers, where he hesitated. You could see the obvious tent that had formed, and your mind went wild. You had spent what was admittedly far too long staring at him when he played basketball, paying close attention to his shorts in order for just an idea of what he was hiding there, but nothing could have prepared you for when he finally took his boxers off. He was bigger than you had anticipated. You were almost intimidated by it, but you were more than ready to accept the pain that would first appear for the pleasure that would soon follow.

You couldn’t wait for him to lie down on the bed. In a split second, you pounced on him, pinning him to the bed and straddling him. Thanks to your lack of underwear, his hard member slid against your folds, and a shared moan rang out through the room.

“Baby, you need to keep quiet,” You cooed. Your hand traced up his bare chest and settled at his neck. You didn’t squeeze, just pressed down ever so slightly. Your goal of keeping him quiet was ruined by the even louder moan that slipped from him at this. “Do I need to gag you?”

“Yes,” He blurted out immediately, taking you by mild surprise. You felt him twitch slightly inside you, signifying just how serious he was.

“What should I use-” You paused, an idea forming in your mind. You pulled your balled-up underwear from your bra, holding it up in front of him as you slowly rolled your hips to match his thrusting up into you. “I suppose I could use my panties?”

“Yes! Please!” He nodded desperately as best as he could when your hand was still on his throat. “Yes!” His thrusts up into you had gotten sloppy, so you released his throat while you shoved your underwear in his mouth to gag him and used your now free hand to hold his hips in place.

“You look so pathetic and desperate right now,” You smiled, picking up the pace to try and chase the tension that was quickly building inside you. Using your free hand, you started to circle your clit with two fingers, softly moaning at the feeling. You wanted to throw your head back and lose yourself in the pleasure, but you couldn’t take your eyes off of Kyle’s as they looked up at you. There was a hazy look to them. The mixture of degradation and praise was clearly getting to Kyle in the best possible way. Below you, you could feel his thighs starting to shake as he drew closer and closer to finishing. The temptation to edge him was significant, but you had to be wary of the time you had left. So, instead, you did your best to grind onto him at as fast a pace as you could manage, your fingers matching the speed on your clit.

The panties in Kyle’s mouth barely muffled the pathetic moans and whimpers that came from him as you felt his seed spill inside you. You were on the pill, but you’d grab a Plan B from Bebe the next morning just to be careful.

“More than okay,” You nodded with a sleepy smile. As much as you wanted to just sleep there like that, cuddled up against his chest, you knew you were only moments away from one of the other partygoers bursting in and finding the position you were both in. Reluctantly, you pulled off of him. The feeling of his seed dripping down the inside of your thighs as he pulled out threatened to turn you on again if you thought too much about it.

“Uh… Here,” Kyle held out your panties to you as he sat up with you, one hand subconsciously holding onto your waist to keep you steady. You looked at them and lowered his hand, shaking your head.

“Keep them,” You told him, a small smirk emerging on your lips. “Until next time, at least.”

“Next time?” His breath hitched at the implications of those two words. You wanted there to be a next time. You wanted to do that again.

Part 2 of my Paris special commentary (Part 1 here) because Tumblr is an ass and has a word limit.

Disclaimer: This is long asf.

Marinette here playing 5D chess, queen shit.

The most important thing the special confirmed is that Gabe added the word "dark" to his transformation phrase on purpose cause he's a dramatic bitch.

I am here for Claw Noir mocking Gabe. Go off, king.

"Oh nO, iT WAs aN IlLusIon!" That giggle is adorable. She's so cute.

Ladyfly is an ass name, but she looks so great.

Not Gabe getting annoyed at Claw Noir's teasing. See, now this is why we stan Claw Noir on this blog.

Gabe's plan isn't half bad, actually.

Symbolism? In my children's cartoon? It's more likely than you think.

They're having a pun-off.

RIP Chat Noir's ear.

A mirror, I called it. It'll make for some nice symbolism.

"Let alone a calm and gentle mom" I wonder what Sabine is like in their world to make Emonette feel like she's so alone.

I like how they handled the villains tbh. I wasn't a fan of making it seem like Marinette was one step away from becoming a supervillain at all times, but it seems less like that's the case and more like The Supreme took advantage of her suffering and vulnerability at her lowest moments.

It's also nice that they established that Shady and Claw weren't the actual big bads and are just hurt kids who got recruited into a fight they weren't ready for. Their motivation isn't some rehash of Gabriel's, they are literally trying to survive under the rule of someone who will kill them if they don't do his bidding, and because of whom they're dying. Their life is literally full of suffering and they're trying to find something that'll give them a way out. Shady wants Marinette's life, and Claw Noir wants his mother back.

Like, it doesn't excuse their actions, but it does add a more humane element to them that lends itself better to the kind of redemption Miraculous likes to do, which is to fix things with a speech. That's why this redemption works, and Gabe's doesn't.

Anyway.

The back and forth between Chat Noir and Claw Noir was pretty funny ngl.

And we discover that Claw Noir wants his mother back. Of course.

MY POOR BABY

When Marinette was talking about how she was also angry and hurt, but chose to love herself and the world around her and chose to try and fix it... that hit hard. Honestly, it did. It's everything I love about Marinette in one speech. I love it.

And then onto my personal favorite scene in the entire special, possibly in the entire show.

That whole conversation was powerful. "I'm as well as I can be anyway," that's so profound. Like, of course you aren't going to be 100% okay after losing someone you love, but Adrien wants to move on and be happy like his mother would have wanted him to. This scene really showcases Adrien's empathy and his strength, when he acknowledges that having no friends can make it harder for Claw Noir to move on, and then he tells him that only he can make the choice to stop being alone. And that's really true. This scene really showcases everything amazing about Adrien, his hope and optimism, his empathy and his strength. How he finds the strength to keep going by choosing to not be alone. It's beautiful.

Like, it could have been so easy for both Marinette and Adrien to give into their darkest impulses, and Shadybug and Claw Noir really are just representations of how letting your hurt overpower you can lead you down a dark path, and it really highlights their strength, that they choose to make the right choices everyday, despite everything. It really highlights their characters and their arcs. And they're able to take everything they've learned, and look at what they could have been in the eyes and help them change too. It's so poetic.

It would have been a little more impactful if the show had spent more than 10 minutes out of 5 seasons focusing on Adrien's grief and how it has impacted him, but whatever.

Anyway, it also had some Adrien and Nino friendship crumbs, and I'll be darned if I didn't gobble it up like a starved animal. Also, we have confirmation that "Space Mutants vs. Ghost Shark" is Nino's favorite movie, so Nino stans please say "thank you Paris special."

And they are REDEEMED.

Shadybug fixes everything with her Lucky Charm after spending the whole special making destructive ones. My heart.

Shadybug and Claw Noir stop being evil and immediately go from hating each other's guts to flirting shamelessly. They just speedran enemies to lovers in a matter of seconds. They literally just defaulted to flirting. Truly, the natural state of Ladynoir in any universe. We stan.

Gotta be honest, I'm not a fan of the new designs. Wish they had kept the old ones. I'm one of those people whose toxic trait is liking Claw Noir's design, so I'm a little unhappy with it, but hey, it's a sweet scene.

Also, Claw Noir's hair went from the color of rotten bananas to ripe bananas. If that was intentional, I applaud the writers for being both profound and funny as hell.

Aaaaaaand Gabe is back, because we can't have nice things.

The montage going through different realities was great, it was small but I enjoyed it.

They're literally so cute omg. Couple behaviors fr. I'm so obsessed with them.

They're holding hands... already... like they're in love... I'm so emotional... I WILL NEVER GET OVER THIS

And they're gone. But their adventures will continue forever in my mind and in my fanfics. And in other people's art that I will ravenously consume.

Cute Alya and Marinette scene. This is really sweet, I love the exploration of the impact Alya has had on Marinette's life.

And now, I'm not an Alyanette shipper, but I think they should kis- oh, wait, never mind, they did it.

And thus, the endless night comes to an end (it happened a while ago but that's just semantics).

Final thoughts

I really loved this so much. Sure, there were some exposition dumps that probably should have happened in the actual series, but that's not the fault of this special. This is probably my bias talking but this is the best special and it's literally perfect, no I will not take any constructive criticism on that. This, this special and everything in it, this is what Miraculous is all about. This is exactly what I wanted, this is what I signed up for. It's literally the best thing ever to come out of this entire show.

Wakfu Season 3, Episodes 1-6

Episode 1 - Fallen Heroes

I had a very long discussion with a friend of mine, who is a fan of medical settings, about how cool the existence of IV within the lore of Krosmoz is.

We didn't come to any conclusion. It was just us fanboying about this. Because my friend loves medical things and I love putting character into situations (some of which would not be survivable, if them being put on IV wasn't possible) (big fan of the concept of Joris getting poisoned and very sick and Kerubim and Atcham freaking the fuck out).

Funnily enough, during the making of my YouTube series, I discovered that there are two Sram-venerating women named Toxine in this franchise.

Adamai harbouring feelings of violence towards the members of the brotherhood is a good idea, (<- obviously the guy that wants Joris to beat the shit out of Kerubim would say this), but man, it could have been so cool if someone competent was working with this idea.

Episode 3 - Oropo's Tower

I should admit, this moment was probably a big win for Tristepin Mental Illness fans. Also, this is sadly the most explicit they can get with the reasons why Tristepin might hate being the Iop god in a cartoon.

He has plenty of reasons. Not only had Iop had 394824 demigods who hated him and felt abandoned by him while suffering fates worse than death (all gods have those) and just as many mortals he took advantage of using the power imbalance of godhood and promises of love (all gods have done that), he also canonically sexually assaulted a woman.

Ngl, if I was Tristepin, I would be considering killing myself — however, the kids and the wife would be sad.

They shuoild do this to Yugo too. He also had other wives. Albeit in an infinitely less insane way than Tristepin. Ankama.., please stop ignoring how existentially horrifying the Eliatrope demigods are.

In the Dofus MMO Kerubim pretty much calls the brotherhood of the forgotten an emo club of people with too much free time on their hands doing nothing but whining about their daddy issues.

And he was so real for that.

Btw canonically, Mishelle/Coqueline makes him feel intimidated (due to her grand age) while she herself doesn't really care about him (besides liking his good attitude towards animals), and is actually besties with Otomai.

Episode 4 - Beastly Girl

I like to headcanon that Joris's relationship with Coqueline is that he projects onto her ("oh god.... being 7 forever would make me kill myself.... even being 3ft tall is already horrible and makes me want to die..... the poor woman must be suffering") while she's like,, 1. probably doesn't think of herself as a "woman". I think she would describe herself as a creature, maybe a girlcreature, and 2. is literally chilling and doesn't give a single shit about anything but animal welfare and direct anti-god action.

I think talking to her would kill Joris because he'd realize that not every immortal person is as insecure about Literally Everything as he is.

She literally says, "the only good gods are ex-gods". We stan a leftist girlcreature?

This screenshot can be used as a reaction image for so many different shows. More fictional parents should say "my child is NOT ascending to godhood and shedding their mortality, becoming something beyond my comprehension, before they're of age. Fuck you."

Episode 5 - A Iop Hides Himself to Cry

You want to read @bitter-panacea's analysis posts about Goultard so bad.

Despite my negative feeling on s3, this is a WIN for Goultard fans, as far as I'm aware. (and Goultard enjoyers, since I kinda consider myself one)

Episode 6 - The Ecaflip's Scratching Post

YEAH BABY, A FULL ON IN-SHOW CONFIRMATION OF MY "USH HAS A DIFFERENT MOM THAN KERUBIM AND ATCHAM" HYPOTHESIS.

This might not seem like a contentious issue to normal people. Gods have... a lot of different lovers, so it seems normal to assume that Ush has one mom, while Kerubim and Atcham are twins like Eleley and Flopin, and have a different mom...

But a cancelled game that Tot really liked and still considers canon had really weird "there's an Ecaflip priestess who is the CEO of Giving Birth" lore, and was planned to be the mysterious mom of Kerubim and Atcham (and many other demigods), which contradicts a lot of previously established lore (ankama LOVES retcons. sadly).

I am quite open about thinking this is stupid and not considering this canon until they show her to me in an actual released media (and even then I will find a way to headcanon a better reality). Seeing the series itself acknowledge that Ush is not Atcham and Kerubim's full brother makes me feel quite better.

But unironically, I think it's cute that he has this gap moe of being an evil man who also saves people and cares about honour (because that's a proper thing to do) despite cheating constantly.

Somehow, his shallowness and "I mostly care about appearances, even if I do have a moral code" sort of behaviour is just as Extremely Bontarian as Joris's.... 30 mental illnesses.

I just finished watching HOTD and I have sm thoughts rumbling inside my head and I’m going to try my best to get them out in a way that makes sense

HOTD 2.07 Spoilers Ahead

- The ending of this episode saved it sm omggg. And please I understand why these side characters need this story building. Esp Daemon, I think we as viewers have been robbed in a lot of ways of seeing Daemon as a multi dimensional emotional character. However, this is why shows need to go back to 24 episode seasons. When there’s only 10 episodes before we lose these characters for two years I wanna see more action and not so much story building.

- The scene with Jace, my bbg 😖🫣🫠. I loved that scene bc it shows that Jace is insecure. He realizes what people say abt him and in some ways he probably believes it as well. Bc even if he has “plain” features the thing that separated him from the small folk was his claim to a dragon. Now that the small folk can claim dragons it’s like he is one of them. And I understand those frustrations (if we had 24 episode seasons 🙄) I would’ve loved to see wherever he went and have like a private moment amongst himself or even with Baela

- Daemon, Daemon, Daemon 😭😭. I’m sorry but him tripping acid in Harenhal is so genuinely funny to me. In seriousness tho we stan Oscar Tully cuz we love seeing Daemon humbled. The way he was able to spin the situation and make Daemon the uncomfortable one? Yeah you ate down mama

- The scenes with Matt and Paddy are just so good their chemistry off the charts. And the fact it was Paddy’s suggestion to do the scene as decrepit Viserys makes it even better bc it’s Viserys telling Daemon here the crown is yours, you’ve always wanted it, but while I hand it to you, look what it did to me.

- As someone who has not read the books, I saw that in the books Rhaena was happy in the Vale and that makes me sick cause that girl deserves it. Pray she claims a dragon next episode.

- Can a book person confirm is Alyssa had a sister? Cause ik with the kings guard from last episode (sorry I’m bad with names) they like made up Aerianna? So I wanna know if Hugh’s mom actually existed. Also hate hm character development/screen time he’s gotten as opposed to other side characters makes me sick.

- All those small folk in Dragonstone had me like, idk sista, but Rhaenyra seriously gained infinite aura points being able to calm Verthimor down.

- Vermithor knew damn well he ain’t have to burn all them people like that. Which leads me into my point that I love that these dragons have personalities. Like Syrax is literally just a girl, Vermithor is hot headed, Vhagar is an old lady, I just love that aspect of the show and someone give us a dragon personality fic

- Ulf stumbling onto a dragon like that I thought for sure he was dead. And also another clutch of dragon eggs???? Do they not know abt silverwing? Sm questions but when he went to kings landing I thought for a moment he was going to claim House Hightower. And when Aemond got to a haggard she was like “not again cmon”

- PERIOD THE DRAGON AT THE END WITH HER CREW BEHIND HERRRR!!! FUCK AEMOND WE DONT NEED HIMMMM!!! Such a boss power move like that was epic

- My favorite part abt next weeks preview was seeing Aemond tell Haelena she would have to ride Dreamfyre. Like she’s not meant yo be a warrior princess she’s meant to run in a field of flowers

Okay so everyone knows I'm obsessed with this scene where Kyle takes Martine's virginity. So uh, how did it go after? Let's find out!!

Cartman, Stan and Kyle were sitting around the Marsh’s kitchen table and having lunch before they headed out to find something to get into. They’d been talking for awhile but little of it registered to Kyle.

“Earth to Kyle” Eric said waving his hand in his face.

Kyle smacked it down, “What!?”

“Airsoft game next weekend. You in?” Stan asked.

Kyle swiped open his phone and started typing, “Maybe, I might have plans,”

“Might?” Stan asked.

“I haven’t asked her yet,” Kyle said absent-mindedly as he read a new text from Martine.

Cartman huffed, “She’s never gonna fuck you,”

“I thought she was hanging out with Kenny now?” Stan asked.

“They just work together,” Kyle asserted with a hint of venom.

“She’s still not gonna fuck you,” Eric insisted.

A smirk slid across Kyle’s mouth as he tapped away, “Yeah, you’re probably right,”

They immediately jumped in his face, staring him down.

“Oh my God, it finally happened.” Cartman said.

“She finally gave in,” Stan added.

Kyle tried his best to ignore them, “I don’t know what you’re talking about,”

“Uh-huh,” Stan scanned his face for clues he didn’t really need, “I saw you leave Craig’s party with her,”

Kyle glanced up at him, “What?”

“We saw you and Martine in the kitchen. If your tongue was any further down her throat, she could’ve digested it,”

Randy stood outside the kitchen. He didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but…

The half-black girl? Exotic. Hot. Gerald must be proud. You always want your kids to have it better than you do.

“What? Really?” Cartman asked, “So what happened? Where’d you go then?”

“I just took her home,” Kyle bluffed.

“You’re such a bad fucking liar,” Cartman huffed.

“I did actually take her home though,” He said, once again trying and failing to hold back his smirk.

“I bet you did,” Stan said sipping his drink.

Cartman continued to prod, “Give us the details,”

“Gross,” Kyle frowned, “No,”

“That’s definitely a confirmation” Cartman decided, “Was it awful? Is that why you won’t talk about it? Did she suck? Or not suck, rather? Did you have performance issues? Totally disappoint her?”

Randy leaned in.

Finally someone’s asking the real fucking questions.

“What!? No! It was…” He looked down at his phone and started absently scrolling through their texts from the weekend, “It was kind of perfect,”

Cartman and Stan looked at each other.

“Don’t tell anybody!” Kyle pleaded, “We didn’t really talk about telling people. She wouldn’t want her virginity to be the new gossip–”

Both Stan and Randy’s jaws both dropped, “No way,”

She was a virgin, too? And she – with that kid? The fuck?

“She wasn’t– You didn’t,” Eric nearly stuttered.

“For some reason, I just assumed she already...” Stan mused.

“Please, shut the fuck up,” Kyle begged them.

“Kyle popped a cherry?” Cartman mused with a hint of disbelief and suspicion, “Will wonders never cease?”

“Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone,” Stan insisted. “..But for real? You fucked her?”

He locked his phone’s screen and put it in his pocket, “..Yeah,”

“And you’re sure she was a virgin?” Eric asked.

“I’m positive,” He suddenly felt hot all over, “I felt it when I pushed in,”

“No shit,” Randy said audibly.

The boys nearly jumped.

Stan craned his neck to look around the corner, “Dad?!”

Randy tried to sneak away but spun too fast and dropped his coffee cup.

It shattered on the wooden floor.

This has been a worse than average endgame (to say the least), but I want to acknowledge the highlights of bb25. I’ve been watching since bb16 (been a feedster since bb17), and this has truly been the most invested I’ve been. Despite how frustrated I’ve been with production this year, I really think this season has some really stellar stuff in it (especially pre-jury). So here is a (lengthy) list of how I’ll remember this season:

Sometimes when I think back on Gravity Falls I just find it funny that, even if we've never seen Mr. and Mrs. Pines before except maybe their arms on the first episode, we just know that they're actually a bunch of weirdo but pretty good parents:

They named their kids Mabel and Mason which aren't really the most common twin names in 1999 because they weren't like those other parents who'd name their kids Jennifer or something as Alex said. He even confirms they're pretty counterculture.

Instead of sending the twins to his probably decent father for vacation to get fresh air, Mr. Pines sends them to his (obviously) criminal uncle in a weird tourist trap in the woods that obviously scams people.

Mabel gets to wear one of her dad's souvenir work shirts for her pajamas and I find that wholesome.

Dipper's mom used to put him in a lamb costume when he was still a toddler and he does a little dance which is embarrassing but also pretty cute honestly. He didn't seem to have issues with this until he reached "maturity" age.

The twins had matching Halloween costumes since they were basically toddlers and they seemingly put a lot of effort into them so that means that they're very open with the kids and their creativity and most likely helped them with their more complex outfits or that they're willing to spend extra cash on giving their kids cool matching outfits that they enjoy

The mail the kids send them say so much about how positive their relationship are with their kids.

Dipper blatantly explains in a postcard sent to them that there are cryptids in the town and even begs them for weapons. Mabel straight up excitedly wants to send their mom a video of her shoving gummy worms up her nose.

This probably means they're open-minded enough to let their kids do these weird things and for their kids to even share them with them with little hesitation.

Even with Mabel being initially upset that their parents wouldn't let Waddles stay (Honestly in another perspective is understandable because how are you going to care for a farm pig in suburban California? It might take a lot of work and it's probably not the best conditions to keep an unconventional pet when you're not used to it. Like we all know Waddles is great but practically speaking it's a lot to ask someone to let their kid keep a farm animal.), we know that they probably let Waddles stay anyway after Stan forces Waddles on the bus home.

They celebrate every holiday because Mabel wants to.

Some other observations on how the twins act that could clue us in on how their parents are. These are more headcanon-leaning but yeah.

Mabel's wonderchild personality filled with sparkles and rainbows definitely show that they didn't suppress her weirdness.

The scrapbooking also adds to the idea that Mabel was definitely allowed to be super creative.

Dipper's unhinged mystery solving behavior (honestly forgot how unhinged he really was until I rewatched the show this year) definitely shows that they probably didn't suppress his weird tendencies either.

Dipper, despite his child-aged pettiness (which is normal mind you), is able to handle intense social situations and could even find the appropriate words even when things are a little too complex. The standout example I could think of was learning of the true extent of Pacifica's abuse and how he's able to find a way to give her the courage to stand up against it. Definitely the most headcanon leaning but I do think that this could also be influenced to a more open household.

The twins truly don't have bad blood between them which means that it's possible that their parents had raised them in a relatively healthy (or at least healthier than others) environment. At the very least, if there was favoritism, it wasn't obvious to cause them any resentment for each other.

I could add more but that's all what's in my brain right now.
