“This new promotion is going to be so much fun♪”
Vivacious and bright, you exuded nothing short of pure happiness as you debuted the new outfit you bought the other day. Anyone could see how much you were enjoying yourself at the moment, arms swinging as your hands interlocked with the pair of hedgehogs on each side of you.
“[Name], you look really good in the outfit I helped you choose and all, but... I just have one question——
“What is FAKER doing here?” “What is that BLUE HEDGEHOG doing here?”
Despite acting as an improvised buffer between the two rivals, Sonic and Shadow’s incredulity synchronized together; and they promptly glared at each other, with Sonic raising his fist in a miffed manner.
You didn’t think it’d be that big of a deal, to be honest.
“Well, since Sonic offered to go shopping with me, I told him I’d take him out as thanks. And then, when I ran into you, Shadow, I couldn’t help but want to go with you, too,” you twittered, doubtful you were making any sense at all as to why you’d try to bring them together in any capacity.
Squeezing your hand, in what you surmised to be a reassuring gesture, Shadow nodded as he listened to you attentively. Was he happy about the situation? No; he genuinely thought he was going to spend some time with you, but he wasn’t about to leave you alone with Sonic, either. “You must’ve really wanted me here, huh?” he baited with a smug simper.
“Well, they invited me first for a reason,” Sonic curtly remarked, pouting as he shamelessly took the taunt. The cute clothes adorning you were all thanks to his appraisal, and the blue bow on your choker was Sonic’s tiny way of staking his claim on you… he was allowed to do that as part of his reward, right? “Hey, [Name], you said they’re serving chili dogs?!”
“Uh, no, I didn’t?! It’s a café, you dummy!” Huffing, you released both of their hands in congruence with skipping ahead—all in favor of pointing out the aforementioned café. “There it is! Isn’t it cute?♡”
The only thing the two boys were enthralled with was the radiant grin on your countenance, their cheeks powdering with rosy hues.
Entering inside, they both discerned how luxurious the place was; it was swathed in lavish, glittering banners, yet retained an antique atmosphere that coalesced together. “And don’t worry, it’s my treat!” you winked at them as you took your seats.
Sonic and Shadow both made a conspicuous beeline for the spot next to you, but as Shadow dug his heel into Sonic’s foot and caught him off-guard, he was able to deftly purloin that empty, coveted seat beside you.
With a moue twisted onto his lips, Sonic plopped down directly across from you. Well, this wasn’t so bad—he could stare right at your face this way! Even though Shadow was shuffling awfully close to you…
“I usually just take my coffee black,” Shadow divulged as he leaned over to read from your menu despite the fact that he had one of his own before him.
Poking his tongue out in disgust, Sonic retorted, “I bet you’re one of those guys that think that’ll impress your crush~” And he was promptly met with a biting scowl, one that Sonic concluded that if looks could kill, he’d be extinguished right where he sits.
“I actually wanted to get the new menu items. They have a heavy emphasis on love and hearts,” you exclaimed, patently bashful about your own suggestion as the two hedgehogs with you immediately fixed their eyes on that specific section.
“Oh, we can share this, [Name],” Shadow softly said, pointing out a lovey-dovey parfait meant to share between lovers, except… “—Ow, dammit!” From underneath the table, Sonic harshly kicked Shadow in the shin.
You were understandably perplexed by the abrupt outburst, but in order to avoid you catching on to anything, Shadow quickly said, “I changed my mind, so I’ll take your recommendation.”
Nodding in spite of your own confusion, the three of you decided to get a plethora of things and share amongst yourselves. Well, you definitely got Shadow his black coffee and Sonic a non-caffeinated tea.
It wasn’t too long after that your desserts began piling up on the table, overlaying all the free space with the abundance of it all. “This might’ve been overkill, [Name]...” Sonic chuckled, beads of sweat dripping from his head.
“Better start eating!” you cheered, enraptured with the tantalizing treats and already shifting your focus off the boys and onto devouring as much as you could.
Shadow wasn’t a fan of sweet things—you didn’t count!—but for you, he’d sample a few things. And by a few things, he meant whatever you had; so whenever you’d pluck something off a plate, he’d follow suit and do the same.
“Ooh, [Name], that looks tasty!” Sonic proclaimed in a flash as he watched you take a spoonful of a pudding-like dish, diminutive drool converging in his mouth. “Feed me some♪”
Eyebrow twitching, Shadow watched as you rolled your eyes playfully before lifting the spoon over into Sonic’s opened mouth.
Sonic licked his lips, thinking that tasted much better than expected having come from you. “Mm, yummy!”
“What are you, a child? Eat it yourself, hedgehog,” Shadow snarled, his fingers already picking up a small, heart-shaped biscuit. Two can play at that game. “Here, [Name]. Open up.”
“Didn’t you just say that was childish?!” Sonic riposted with another glower on his face, only feeling his indignation magnify when Shadow cupped your cheek and poked the biscuit against your lips.
There was no harm in letting Shadow have a doting moment, you thought as you slowly pried your lips open. As Shadow fed you, he couldn’t cease the overflowing warmth inundating his chest. You looked so overjoyed munching away on the biscuit, humming cutely as you savored its buttery taste.
Sonic was palpably frustrated and jealous, the feelings flickering in his green eyes, and it only exacerbated when Shadow locked eyes with him with a complacent smirk.
You were blissfully unaware of the rivalry happening secretly between the two, never even noticing the surge of electricity shooting from their eyes at each other, and as you continued to eat away, you’d likely stay that way.

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey - Scene 53
For everyone reading this it’s only been about four days since the last update, but it’s been like two weeks for me between writing and editing XD Suffice to say, life was kind of weighing me down. But here we are. Claymore has appeared and everyone is together. Seemingly to Ix’s expectations. What does that mean? Read on and find out in...
Tumblr media
-Sonic, Rosy, what’s going on. Guys!-
“Hmhmhmhmhm,” the laughter of Saber the Red filled the room that Sonic and Rosy had caught up to Ix in and distracted them from Tails’ voice across their wrist device radios.
“No!” Rosy shouted in surprise as Saber had appeared but a moment sooner, and after Claymore had strode into the chamber. What made Rosy scream however was that Saber had taken one of his namesake weapons from his shoulder pylons and jammed it straight up into Claymore’s midsection.
“Ho!” Claymore shouted as he looked down at the far nimbler suit of armor. “You would show yourself now, traitor!”
“Come now Claymore, I had hoped you would be more of a challenge than the autogolems you have roaming these halls.”
“Curious,” Ix remarked as he looked back at the scene behind him. “How long did I slumber for the Sword Knights to turn on each other. Truly, the state of this world is wrong.”
Twirling his staff for but a moment above his head, Ix slammed it into the ground, the crystal Rose at its head shining a bright purple. In response the ground cracked and splintered, a torrent of Rings bursting forth in response.
“Ho! “Claymore shouted as he fell to a knee. “You would risk your own destruction as well foul mage. I had believed you would face me in battle at the heart of Tower Point.”
“There is little need,” Ix remarked as Fukurokov and Fang stared at him in horror. “I can eliminate two knights at one time and simply choose a new vessel to continue my pursuit.
“Then…? Ho! It was a trap!”
“Sneaky,” Saber commented and withdrew his sword as he stepped back from Claymore. “I did not come to be buried this day however.”
“Neither did I!” Fang shouted before turning pleading eyes onto Rosy. “You hafta get me outta this Rosy!”
“You think I’ll let you get away?” Doctor Fukurokov leveled Fang’s own gun at the treasure hunter’s head to emphasize his threat. “And what trickery is this! You promised me a return to glory!”
Turning the pop gun from Fang, Doctor Fukurokov took aim at Ix, and quickly paled as the stone golems rose around them. It was the opportunity Fang needed however and he fell back and lashed out with his tail. “Gah!”
“Sorry, but I’m not hanging around here any longer,” Fang laughed as he knocked his gun free of Doctor Fukurokov’s grasp. Catching it as he braced himself on his tail, he shook the firearm a moment before springing up into the air and shouted at Rosy. “This time, I’m ready Rosy!”
“What!” Doctor Fukurokov’ shouted as he saw a Ring Gate appear in Fang’s path disappearing with the jerboa-wolf hybrid in an instant. “Who~?”
“Was that really a good idea, kid?” Sonic asked looking at Rosy who looked quite pleased with herself. At least until Sonic asked.
“Soni~c,” she whined and puffed up her cheeks. “Fang is my friend and I had to help him, and now that he isn’t in danger, I can try to talk Ix down.”
“It’s too late for that, Lady Medium,” Claymore scoffed as a dark purple mist began to swirl around his left arm. “The foul mage has already taken his leave. You fell for his bait and now he likely has another vessel en route to the heart of Tower Point.”
“To think you failed so badly Claymore. Your sleep has made you rusty,” Saber mocked the far larger autogolem knight.
“And you have lost all honor, Saber! Ho!”
With his trademark shout, Claymore became a well of gravity and everything in the room became stuck in his pull. Ix’s stone body along with his golems were pulled apart, the debris pulled into Claymore’s body. A body which healed and grew with the consumption.
“What is this!” Doctor Fukurokov shouted helplessly before being pulled off his feet and right into a Ring Gate that appeared before him and vanished.
“You would save your obvious enemy, Ring Mage, Sonic the Hedgehog?”
“You’re getting closer,” Sonic shook a finger at Claymore. “Just drop the mage bit and we’ll be good. Well, after I clean up your mess, stop Ix, and yeah, make sure no one gets more hurt than you already have today.”
“Hmhmhmhmhm, it’s too late for that,” Saber laughed and took to the air and out into the cavernous main hall beyond the small room everyone had gathered in. Form his new vantage point, he could see everything collapsing around him and an army of golems rising past the golden twinkle of collected Rings. “Pir’Oth has already begun to collapse the whole of Tower Point. Soon, Yoluku will wake again! Hmhmhmhmhm!”
“Yeah, not happening! Let’s go Amy!”
Grabbing Rosy’s wrist, Sonic took off so fast she barely got her feet under her. When she did, Sonic noticed the drag immediately as she still had a long way to go to catch up to him in the use of his speed. Not wanting to waste time, Sonic scooped her up into his arms, and just in time to avoid collapsing debris.
“Phooey!” Rosy complained, puffing up her cheeks even as she nestled into Sonic’s embrace and blushed happily. There was conflict in that joy though as the situation had gotten dire. “Why did it have to happen like that?”
“Doesn’t matter,” Sonic dismissed the past. “But if we don’t do–”
-Guys! Please tell me you’re okay. The data is going crazy and the whole city is starting to collapse!-
“Tails!” Rosy shouted before remembering she had to activate the radio on her wrist.
“Tails! I was right! It was Ix, and now he’s collapsing the whole city. I don’t know what to do, but Sonic and me are heading towards Ix now! And hopefully, we stop him. But you need to get out of here! It’s not safe, and–!”
     -What is that!-
“What is what?” Sonic asked as the whole of the catacombs began to tremble and shake as though the entire landmass was being torn apart.
The answer did not take long to be discovered.
As Saber flew out of the growing sinkhole Tower Point was becoming, he was joined by the Tornado under remote control from a desperate to not lose it Zooey. Following them, not in pursuit but rather growth, Claymore emerged.
He had grown massive beyond compare, the collapsing city feeding his gravity well. Whether or not the people of the city were spared as he grew was a mystery, but his artificial frame could easily harbor them all as it grew.
“Are we going to be able to get away from that?” Draw asked looking at the absurd sight of the impossibly huge autogolem and the storm of purple clouds that swirled around him.
“I couldn’t rightly say, lad,” Gill confided from where he joined Draw on the Deck of the Skyskipper. “It’s likely that knight will consume us all.”
“I thought I was going to be safe here!” Fang surprised Gill and Draw as he came out onto the deck. “What is that fox girl doing!”
Running to the deck and leaving the other’s confused, the sight of the Avocado Green joining the Skyskipper had no meaning to Fang. Neither did Mighty as he ran by him to demand an explanation, even as Zooey worked to open a Ring Gate large enough for both airships. Mighty did not follow Fang or return to the bridge as he watched the cloud of darkness around Claymore’s left arm become a giant maw of light filled darkness. With that looming maw the knight took a massive bite out of the city with.
“SO~NI~C!” Rosy cried out at the top of her lungs as everything collapsed around her and Sonic within the gigantic maw.
“Just get ready!” Sonic yelled as he tossed Rosy into the air in front of him.
     “Wah~!”
“Just don’t enjoy this too much!”
Leaping up after Rosy, he grabbed her hand and spun her about into him as he curled into a tight ball forcing her to do the same. Together they formed one giant rolling hedgehog ball and plowed through practically everything in front of them with growing speed. Until finally, they broke apart and Rosy flopped onto her back with swirling eyes and red face.
“I said don’t get too excited,” Sonic sighed as he looked back at Rosy behind him. “That was simply the Rolling Combo Tails and I came up with. You didn’t do bad for your first go at it though.”
Unsteadily stumbling to her feet, Rosy smiled as Sonic flashed her a thumbs up. But the expression did not last for long. Sonic had donned a dead serious look and turned his attention forward to the heart of the clockwork sphere they had arrived in. Following his gaze, Rosy gasped.
     “Ix!”
She could not find the words to continue however as there were two of him. A wooden one, and one like the autogolem knights. A clockwork skeleton with a suit of armor built onto it, and of course his signature flowing purple robes.
“So, you really had laid a trap for us,” Sonic gritted his teeth as he looked at the swirling gyroscopic device around the autogolem Ix, and how it and the gears within the clockwork sphere had nearly come to a halt.
“One I had not expected you to survive,” Ix acknowledged his plan. “Yet, you do not seem to be the hero foretold of by the medium. My plans remain unchallenged. You two are far, far, too late, and there is nothing the fool Sword Knights can do to stop me. I am but one step closer to returning at last to the side of my old friend.”
     “We’ll see about that!”
     “KYAA~!!!!!”
     “Amy!”
Sonic stopped mid-preparation to leap forward as Rosy suddenly screamed. Turning back, he saw the red light of a Red Star Ring pouring from her left eye, her face trapped in a moment of true fear. “AMY~!”
~Those were the last words I remember hearing Sonic say while I could see him. Everything after that is almost pure darkness. I can’t really remember anything. But I know I saw the Gear Star Ring in my eye crumble some more, letting the gear be fully connected along three points of the star. I just wish I hadn’t seen that in Sonic’s beautiful green eyes. He looked so desperate as he reached for me, but then I was just gone. But I heard it. At least for a moment. It was my voice. I was talking but it wasn’t me. It wasn’t me, and I’ve never been so scared.~
“I am most afraid not, Dirt Dweller. ‘My’ Medium is gone.”
Scene 53 · CLEARED Party Crashing, to be continued

And isn’t that a doozy to end it on? XD Don’t worry, the next scene is out on Saturday (or already if you’re reading this after the publication date). As for who has possessed Rosy. Well, I’ve finally introduced my AU’s villain and I hope you enjoy this initial tease into their character. Next scene is the end of Season 1 and huge changes will be coming after that starting April. Please enjoy and I hope you’ll continue to follow me on The Journey!

I love your classic sonamy prompts. Can you do one where Modern and Boom Sonic meet Rosy and modern and boom Amy are off to the side watching their sonic's play with their younger self? Just all around sweet and wholesome fluff
Tumblr media
(art is not mine! (x) found it on google and it linked me to this twitter.)
Also, see this prompt talked about in Pajama Blogs Ep. 1 (x) Timecode start: 4:49-8:34.
PROMPTS ARE OFFICIALLY ON SHUTDOWN! Do not send any prompt requests! (Asks and art submissions are still okay) Thank you!
Prompt:
In a twist of fates, or rather--dimensions, we find our heroes stuck in a ‘in-between’ world where a unseen villain seems to be pulling the strings!
Forced to work together, the Sonics must find their friends who are being taken and captured for their ‘time-energy’, which sucks away their dimension’s ‘aura’ to fuel the villain's dastardly schemes.
Upon finding most of their friends, having funny moments to comment about the different dimensions, the Sonics left to find their last friend unfound.
No Amy Rose had been found at the time, and with time on the line, the heroes darted towards the first hint they had at finding them.
Classic Sonic was the first to look and see Classic Amy, also referred to as Rosy, being trapped and drained of her time-energy.
The Sonics rushed in to save her, but were pretty amazed at her youthful energy and how for only a moment was scared until seeing Classic Sonic and being rescued.
It wasn’t long before Rosy led them to the other Amys, who were also captured but in mid-escape plan by the time the Sonics got there. However... it was almost too late.
The villain had absorbed enough time-energy to permanently alter reality and mess up every time into one, jumbled timeline!
To avoid this, everyone pulled their remaining time-energy together and with the help of three Super Sonics, they defeated the bad guy.
However, the Tails’ stated that it would take time to ‘leak’ out the stored time-energy the villain had stolen, and while everyone was standing around...
“She really is a puzzling mystery.” Modern Sonic smiled, putting a hand up to his chin and leaning down to watch Rosy jump around and continue to shower Classic Sonic with affections. “It’s like we don’t even exist.” Modern Sonic leaned up and shrugged to Boom Sonic, “But I guess that’s not a bad thing...”
“Yet.” Boom Sonic winked, and then bent down with a twinkle in his eyes, “I just can’t believe she was so spunky as a kid! In my timeline, she looked a little different. But boy! Her fashion sense hasn’t this been this dire!” he laughed, but as he did so, Rosy turned around, puffed up her cheek, and dashed into him. “Ah!”
He fell backwards as Modern Sonic snickered into his hand, squinting one eye at him being caught. “Watch it there, buddy. She’s a lot more feisty in this dimension too.”
“Pah! No kidding! But does that ever change?” He teased, also trying to wiggle and lift the upset little hedgehog off of him so he could get up. “Aww, it’s hard to stay mad at that mad face.” he gave her a signature Sonic smile, charming her instantly as she stopped swiping her fists at him and instead, melted as her eyes drooped.
He set her down and dusted himself off, but Modern Sonic noticed something was off.
“Uhh...” He gestured to around his neck, then shrugged.
“Huh?” Boom Sonic looked down and then back to Rosy, seeing she had swiped his bandanna and was using it as a wrap around her head. “Hey!” he waddled like you would do if you were chasing a child as she giggled and raced away from him, but Modern Sonic thought it best to let them play, putting his arms over his head and just enjoying the tom-foolery.
“I forgot how much trouble she could be.” He seemed to say that with a nostalgic affection in his tone, before looking to see Classic seemed uneasy.
“What's up, little man? Not liking the attention taken off you for a change?” He joked, but was surprised to see Classic narrow his eyes to thin slits, watching carefully as though thinking Boom was some-sort of danger to Rosy waiting to happen.
Modern just sweat-dropped, before Rosy quickly bounced up to him and held her arms out, as though wanting him to assist her in getting away.
“Oh no, don’t look at me.” He took his arms away from behind his head, an awkward teardrop forming as Classic, although dismissive at first to Rosy, was now acting like a tsundere guard dog that Modern didn’t want to annoy further. However... her bottom lip trembled as she turned to a fast approaching Boom, who stopped briefly in front of them to clutch his legs and act as though he was getting tired, but it was clear he was letting her get away.
There was something fun about being sweet to her, and Modern couldn’t help the light tugging on his heart when she reached down to his socks and pulled lightly, as though really milking her cute little girl phase to get him to help her out.
He sighed, missing this personality somewhat and unable to say ‘no’ to a little girl... no matter how rascally she was to him in the past.
Besides, this was another dimensional Rosy... but the nostalgia got the better of him.
“I guess you would turn to your hero... in your moment of great need.” he kid, as though exasperated by her antics though he scratched the side of his head, then bent down as she jumped on his head.
“H-hey!” Boom Sonic pointed accusingly, “This is enabling!”
Modern just gave an apologetic smile and shrugged, “She’s very convincing.” as Rosy gripped the sides of his quills, and like a horse’s saddle, straddled his quills to have her feet between them. Secure and tight, she was ready to take flight!
As Modern Sonic took off and Boom Sonic chased, though now it truly was a race, Modern and Boom Amy stood on the sidelines... squatting in their defeat at grabbing their Sonics’ attentions at all.
They sighed in unison, rotating their heads from one hand to another as they slouched and stared.
“Why doesn’t he give in to me like that anymore?” Modern whined, before not being able to help the whimsy smile she gained from seeing her younger self so happy. “He’s actually playing, I never have seen that side of him with me before... unless he wants something.” she seemed to snap into annoyance in a heartbeat, but then melt again as she sat fully to the ground, gliding her hands against the ground as she waited. “I’m still waiting for my time-energy and pretty weak from our endeavor to escape, but look at them! Treating her like she’s the special one... hmph!” Her slight jealousy was to herself though, she didn’t complain all that much...
However...
“H-hey...” She worriedly turned to the fighting spirit building in Boom Amy, seeing the fires almost manifest visibly in her as she watched the Sonics.
Classic had actively tried to follow the Sonics and get Rosy off Modern’s head, so now it was a game of ‘keep-away’ with two who were ‘it’. Modern was enjoying himself, even quoting Eggman a few times and taunting the other Sonics as they chased Rosy for different reasons. Classic seemed to just want the other two to back off her and leave her alone, but the other two were having too much fun with hearing her laughter and even letting her steer Modern around like a race car.
They were doing some incredible stunts, jumping off of ramps and doing flips in the air, almost making it look like Rosy was performing for a motorbike competition.
“He never got to see me small...” Boom finally muttered, “He’s never acted so interested in me before...” she lowered her head into her withdrawn knees, as Modern Amy sweat-dropped a bit.
“Trust me, he wasn’t this way with me as a kid either...” She tried to relate, but it was hard to watch the two Sonics and knowing they were actively being ignored.
Suddenly, Boom managed to swipe Rosy off of Modern’s head, and unwrap the bandanna around her head. “Ah-ha! Victory!” he made the peace-sign as Modern gave him a thumbs up.
“Nice one!” he complimented.
Boom was so tall that he was easily able to move Rosy out of Classic’s endless jumps to put her down, but Boom was distracted for a brief moment when he looked to see Boom Amy huffing and puffing in grumbled agitation.
Then her face turned sorrowful, and she looked away after getting flustered from meeting his gaze...
That’s when Classic socked him in the gut, having the air escape his lungs and Rosy fall from his grasps.
Classic took her and walked a bit away from his other dimensional selves, placing her down and then proceeding to actively ignore her again when she wagged her tail and tried to get his attention again.
He folded his arms and looked away, as though not amused by her antics, but Modern decided it best to leave the two be.
Boom shook himself off from the pain and raced over to Boom, “Yo! Have you seen that dimensional younger you, yet? She’s a hurricane!” he teased, “But I think she’s a lot like you, a tease.”
“A what!?” Boom immediately shot up from the ground like a rocket, “She’s not even in the double digits yet!” She argued, but Boom just pulled away a bit.
“Calm down, calm down, I meant she likes to cause trouble for our attention sometimes, no biggie.” he then realized the error in his words and continued to try and recover, “L-look at her, though! Didn’t you say you wore glasses when you were small? She may still need them...”
“Yooouu..!” She brought out her hammer.
“Ah!” he jolted in spot and dodged as though expecting the throws, but all Boom Amy had to do was hold her hammer out for him to start dodging up in the air, though she wasn’t doing anything.
She looked to Modern with a look that was so done with her existence, but Modern just weakly smiled and got up too, walking over to Modern Sonic.
“That other, taller Sonic, seems to think my younger self is quite the rage.” she puffed her chest up a bit, gloating a bit. “Makes you wonder how he missed the fact that she grows up to be such a cutie, huh?” She winked to Modern Sonic who was still focused on the interaction between Classic and Rosy, who still was playing awkward to her advances.
“Some things don’t change.” He turned back to Modern Amy, grinning from ear to ear as though not having a single worry about what he was about to say, “You’re still a wild little girl to me!”
“Ah!” she swatted a hand at his shoulder, making him flinch back, looking hurt.
“H-hey! What’d I say?”
“Ohhh!!!” She summoned her own hammer.
“Ah! Amy! W-wait!” He began to move back, then full-blown ran when she charged him, “Was it something I said!?”
Classic and Rosy stopped to watch the strange interactions from the two different dimensions, however...
They were the same. Instead of Rosy being chased after, Sonic was frantically racing away as the Amys chased instead.
She then got an idea and pulled out her own Piko Piko Hammer, bouncing her eyebrows at Classic who gulped hard and sweated with a slight tremble.
He lifted a leg up... and zapped away in a bolt of blue.
She giggled, thinking she liked this game better, and raced along after him in what would become an endless game of chase~<3

ZonZamy~~
DISCLAIMER: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW WHAT ZONZAMY IS, I WILL EXPLAIN. So, this is like another dimension, in a place called No Zone. Everyone’s names start with the letter ‘Z.’ So, the Sonic in No Zone is named Zonic, and Amy is Zamy. SO, it’s sonamy, but in another dimension. This is an AU.
Ages:
Zonic/all the males: 21
Zamy/ and basically all the females: 18
It was a normal day in No Zone, and there were zone cops running around Headquarters, getting to their missions. A zonecop in particular was just roaming around the place.
“Hey, Zonic!” Zails, the scientist/mechanic of Zone Cop Headquarters yelled at the zone cop. “Ms. Zamy is asking for you, Zector, and Zespio.” Zonic nodded.
“Thanks, Zails.” And with that, he zoomed off to Zamy’s office. Zector and Zespio were already inside.
“Where were you?” Zector whispered to Zonic. He just shrugged. The chair behind the desk of where they were standing at spinned around. It revealed an 18 year old pink hedgehog with a white office blouse, and a black pencil skirt with a slit on her left leg’s side. She had her hair in a bun, a few strands of curly quills messily placed in with a bobby pin. It was, Zamy Rose.
“Oh! Zonic, finally. Now that all three of you are here, I would like to address two things. Number one,” Amy stood up, and leaned against her desk. “You failed to catch Zcourge. Again.” She had a disapproving face as Zector whistled, nodding his head to the side, gesturing that it was Zonic’s fault they got away. Zamy looked towards Sonic. He sighed.
“That son of a b-” He looked at Zamy to find that she was not amused with what he was about to say. “...I mean, Zcourge, was insulting you, and I got outta control and started beating him up-
“-and started destroying anything within a one mile radius.” Zector interrupted. Amy just glared at Zonic.
“Thank you for defending my name, Zonic.” She went back to her office chair and sat. That’s when Zonic noticed that her quills were a little out of place, and her office blouse was pulled down a little. “Anyways, I have Zhadow and Zilver working on that. “Number two, Zails has found some new leads on a mission that we’re debating on. We don’t know whether to abandon the case, or continue. We don’t even know what it would result to finding out! It’s stressing me out!” Zamy was their friend, but also their boss. No wonder her blouse looked out of place.
“Don’t worry, Ms. Zamy. We’ll go to Zails to ask for the leads, and we’ll try to figure something out.” Zespio spoke up. Zamy nodded. Zector and Zespio left, while Zonic stayed in place.
“Well?” Zamy asked, not taking her eyes off the paperwork she was skimming through.
“Aren’t you going to lecture me about letting my anger get the best of me?!” Zonic snapped at her. She seemed unfazed by his actions.
“Actually, I’m in a good mood, and I want the people around me to feel happy too. But, I like scolding you when I’m happy too. It’s usually a source of my happiness.” Zonic looked annoyed, but decided not to think too much of it.
“C’mon, babe.” He sat on the desk, and leaned his face towards her. She nudged her face away, a small smirk visible. He pulled at the bow of her blouse, causing her to lean forward.
“W-What are you doing?!”  Zamy asked, feeling a little spooked at his actions. He slammed his lips against hers, and continued in a compassionate, little bit of tongue kiss. He licks his lips, and pulled back.
“Mind telling me why you’re wearing a pencil skirt with a slit?” He took a breath, trying not to let his inner-feelings do something unexpected right on the spot. “And a blouse that shows cleavage?” He asked, dragging his finger along her cheek.
“I’m having a sleepover with the girls.” Zonic held a laugh in.
“A sleepover? What are you? Eleven?” Zonic burst out, falling to his back and started laughing hysterically. Zamy just kicked his foot. Once he was relaxed, he went over and hugged her from behind, taking in the rosy scent of her quills. “Baby, I’m sorry!” He kissed her neck. “Why are you so excited though?”
“I’ve been so stressed these past few weeks, that I’m starting to not care about my hygiene, and never really pay attention to how I look.” She turned her head to Zonic. He lowered his eyes, and put his nose on her cheek. “I’m not wearing make-up. Sorry.” He pulled away.
“Zames, don’t apologize about not wearing make-up. You’re beautiful either way. Second of all, why hang out with them to relieve the stress? You could always ask me~” Zamy rolled her eyes at his playful behavior. They were secretly dating, with only Zails and Zream knowing.
“By the way, the sleepover’s happening in Zouge and Zhadow’s room.” Zonic made a face. Zhadow gets to be a part of the sleepover. That’s not fair. As if Zamy knew what he was thinking, she cleared his misunderstanding. “Znuckles won’t be in the sleepover. Zhadow will be hanging out with you!” Zonic grimaced. He didn’t enjoy hanging out with Zhadow. Zamy kissed his cheek and pushed him out of her office.
- time skip because I can hehehehe~~~
Zonic was with Zhadow, Zails, and Znuckles as they tried to find out how to crash that sleepover. Zilver was there too, but was raiding through Znuckles’s fridge.
“Why don’t we just dress up like Pizza Delivery guys?” Zilver asked, as he brought some soda back to where the boys where. Zonic snapped his fingers.
“YES! I mean, it’s not full of pizzaz, but that’ll work!” They all snuck into Zyra’s (lol my oc in no zone dimension) room and looked around. She had some pizza delivery outfits. They took an old pizza box from Znuckles’s fridge, and ran to the other side of the dorms, where Zouge and the girls were. Zonic was forced to wear the delivery uniform as it would only fit him. He rang the doorbell, getting ready to switch to Znuckles in case Zouge opened the door. To his luck, Zamy opened the door.
In. A. Nightgown.
Zonic’s seen her in nightgowns before, seeing as they both share a dorm. (Zamy managed to switch with Zhadow because of their arguments.) This one just seemed. . .
Different.
Not a bad kind of different. Zonic liked what she was wearing but tried not to focus on that. She leaned against the door, obviously recognizing Zonic.
“Yes?” She asked, amused at his antics.
“Pizza delivery for some young ladies?” He bowed, as he showed the pizza box. Amy smirked.
“Code pizza, girls!” This confused him heavily. What did she mean, code pizza? She turned back to her secret lover. “Lower your men.” Now this made Zonic even more puzzled. What did she mean by lower? She pointed up towards the ceiling. Zails was in the vents, while the others were kept up against the ceiling by Zilver. Zonic mentally face-palmed at their stupidity.
“Oh...Still...pizza?” He asked her, as if hoping she would get the memo to open the door all the way for him. She knew their plan, and she wasn’t going to let them have their way.
“Mmm...No thanks, we’re fine with pizza.” She smiled at him, and started to close the door. Before the door shut all the way, he stopped the door with his foot.
“I hope you know...I don’t go until I’m paid.” He said in a flirtatious voice that got Zails and Znuckles suspicious.
“And I hope you know that I don’t want anything to do with that cheesy stuff.” Zamy’s words had a double meaning.
“OH C’MON, ZAMY, LET ME IN!” Zonic yelled in anger. This was not the plan. She was supposed to let them in so they could have fun with them. It wouldn’t be fun looking through their window, because they’d just be doing something boring, like putting make-up on, or gossiping.
“Wow. You already resorted to begging? Hm. I thought you could do better than that. Oh well,” She opened the door all the way, as Zilver dropped the the boys without mercy, and Zails climbed out of the vents. She let them in, and the boys sat down next to their respected girls. Zonic sat a little closer to Zamy, giving her a pillow to cover herself. Did I mention that even though this is another universe, Zonic is still overprotective of Zamy.
“Let’s play Truth or Dare! I’ll go first. Who’ll I choose?” Zouge asked. Everyone raised their hands except for Zonic and Zhadow. Zouge smirked and picked Zonic. Zamy and him were internally screaming at what she might do. “Zonic, I dare you to go into the closet for seven minutes with Zamy.” Zamy looked away. Zonic sighed in submission. Zamy followed. Zouge put a timer for seven minutes and stood outside the closet, with Zyra and her tripod.
“So...what should we do now?” Zonic asked, loud enough for the people outside to hear them.
“I don’t know, but what I do know is that you’re going to keep your lustful self on that side of the closet, and me on my side.” Zamy said, making noise in her corner, pretending that they’re moving. Zonic grabbed Zamy and locked his lips with hers. They tried to be as quiet as they could, not raising suspicion. He pinched her butt, however, Zamy kicked him in the crotch. Knowing that Zouge may have heard that, she goes “Zonic! Are you alright? Did you hit your head against the shelf?” She said loudly, making sure that Zouge didn’t suspect anything.
“Ow...I’m fine, Zamy...” He rubbed his head. “How much time is left on the timer?” Zamy looked at her phone.
“Two minutes left.” They sat there, cuddling to their hearts’ content, until the door opened and Zamy was pushed to the other side of the closet. She glared at her boyfriend, who only nervously chuckled. He was gonna get his ass whooped later on.
HEY, SO, I know this was TRASH, but then again, I am sonamy trash, so...
THE NEXT THING I’M GOING TO POST IS GOING TO BE EITHER A FLOOFY ONE SHOT, OR CHAPTER ONE OF ROOMMATES AU.

So about the ships, is it okay if I ask about headcanons about the ships and how they got together? Thank you!! The ocs are really intresting and I love the ships so I’m very intrigued lolol
Absolutely! I live for questions like this <333 this is very long so I’ll be putting it under read more. Small warning: a little spicy in some parts ouo;;; and I do apologize if they seem out of character
Leona and Anyu
They met during a maglift(magical shift? please correct me if I’m wrong;;) practice match, NRC against DCA(Belongs to Phoenix-Manga/phnxart!).  One of the Savanaclaw students on Leona’s team were cheating and Anyu was REALLY not having it;; so of course he confronted him about it, but afterwards it kept happening and then everything went uh...downhill;;;
Since then they became rivals and Anyu swore that she’d beat him in maglift fair and square! The again, she managed to beat him a few times when they spar?? //sigh this girl asks for too much;;;
Though, she can’t help but appeal to his cunning and arrogant behavior, but does her best to deny it when someone brings it up. Like yeah, she thinks he’s cute, but he’s mean!
no chance, no way, I won’t say I’m in love
Even if they’re not dating, they bicker a lot and argue A LOT, but they still care about each other nonetheless, it’s a matter of patience and loyalty mostly patience though
Considering how witty they both are, they subconsciously flirt each other whether it’s one the mag lift field or in their respective dorms, they always have something to say to each other. Even Ruggie can feel the tension before calling them out on it.
Anyu likes to run her hands through his hair when they cuddle, or rather whenever Leona drags her away from studying to go AND cuddle.
Like a lot people, he calls her herbivore, but also princess while Anyu calls him a fur bag or kitty~
He carries her like a fucking potato sack, it makes Anyu Angry, but Leona still does it to push her buttons.
There’s a decent amount of PDA, but behind closed doors, it’s more...ravenous ouo;;; just don’t be surprised if Leona has hickeys on him or anything
They playfight A LOT especially after a fight and Anyu is always the one starting it
neither of them know this but their older siblings are already planning their arranged marriage due to politics
Overall, it’s push and pull between these two!
Azul and Pearl
Ah yes Ursula and Ariel
Pearl was actually childhood friends with Jade and Floyd so when they visited each other in their first year, she was introduced to Azul.
At first she was pretty neutral about him, but after she heard about his contracts, she had to distance herself a bit, but still remained good friends!
Out of kindness, she dotes on him lot, but Azul’s expecting something out of it, and Pearl always gets upset whenever he asks her
Although she does her best to be more understanding oh him, and ever since his overblot, she’s more doting and more open with him.
Their love is playful, tender, and surprisingly conniving! Being that Pearl is a matchmaker, she likes to ask her octo-baby for some help in pairing couples(aka getting Floyd and Jade to intervene), but in exchange she has to help him out as well whether it’s finding gems to see or sing at the mostro lounge. It’s an equal share between the two!
She lets Azul pull out scams and sometimes gets involved with them, although she pretends that she doesn’t know what’s going on when really, she KNOWS what’s going on, girl wants to make Azul look like an idiot for scamming her one time!
Pearl loves ballroom dancing and sometimes she would get Azul to dance with her, even though he tends to trip on his feet a lot hahaaaa!
They like to make inside jokes and they flirt with each other, although Pearl has a bad habit of getting too friendly with her male clients, which leads Azul having to lecture her about personal space. If it’s the male clients getting too friendly, it’s a whole different story, a scary one actually;;;
Azul tried to kiss her once in the VIP room, but alas Floyd and Jade ALWAYS cockblock him which then leads to Azul lecturing them, and Pearl scolding him for being rude to the twins. he just a kiss from his gf that’s all he asks
shalalala my oh my it’s like the boy’s too shy he’s gonna kiss the girl
Pearl knows what it’s like to be ostracized and bullied. Every so often, she pampers Azul after a hard days work and when he’s upset, she’s very patient and listens to his woe constantly, even if he doesn’t say anything, she’s there
Trey and Clarice
Met during a visit from NRC! Clarice was in the middle of sewing up her gowns on a mannequin and Trey and Cater walked in on her. Trey and her talk a lot about their crafts and of course Cater was just there to take pictures of it, not that Clarice didn’t mind!
Literally husband and wife
Trey is the kind of guy who’s an ideal boyfriend, constantly helping her with designs and encourages her. While Clarice helps him in the kitchen and whatnot!
But most importantly. she pulls him back from overworking, being vice dorm leader is never easy. Of course she’s no better, Trey can tell when Clarice hasn’t had enough sleep, or when he fingers are sore. Thus, Trey would have to pry her hands off the sewing machine and into a comfy chair
They play around in the kitchen a lot! She purposely puts icing on his face and he chases her around for it. There was also an incident where they played around too roughly and Clarice knocked a bag of flour onto the floor. Needless to say, Riddle was NOT happy when he saw the whole mess
They tend to feed each other sometimes and go as far doing the pocky game. Of course Ace ruins the moment by telling them to get a ROOM.
PDA? They always have their hands somewhere on each other, Trey’s arm over her shoulder, and Clarice’s hand on the small of his back hood boy
Kingsley and Riddle
Kingsley met Riddle when he was a wee first year! He always so obedient and being the dick the Kingsley was, he REALLY tried to influence him. However, Riddle was stronger than that and didn’t buy into his shenanigans like the good boy he is!
Before I go on, I headcanon that Riddle is bisexual or pansexual.
As mentioned, Kinglsey does flirt a lot with Riddle, and it goes as far as calling him pet names and compliments.
The result it either Riddle storming off with rosy cheeks, or “OFF WITH YOUR HEAD”.
He does care about Riddle’s well-being and has to remind him to take breaks. When there’s a fight going on and Riddle is too busy, he takes care of it for him. He treats his queen like no other.
If they were dating, I’d say he’s one for PDA and will deliberately fluster him in front of other people
Promised himself to tone down his playboy attitude for the sake of his beloved. The last thing he wants to upset Riddle.
They tend hedgehogs and paint teacups together, sometimes have private tea time when they get the chance!
Kingsley is also very much down to punch the daylights out of anyone who dares to hurt his Riddle, not on his watch!
Jamil and Elena
I feel they met during the school festival at DCA. She’s part of cultural dance club and happened to be performing with her dorm leader. Kalim and Jamil were both intrigued and after the performance they managed to talk to her
Elena knows when Jamil is pulling back and she LOATHES that, so often times she pushes Jamil to the point where he’s really showing his bets efforts and only then would Elena be satisfied.
Elena may be a tough girl and rougher than most, but she can be just caring as the next. She would always check on Jamil after he takes acre of Kalim, he works so hard has no acknowledged this??
They have this habit of dancing together during the more quiet hours of the dorm, whether it’s in Scarabia or Magiaoasis(Phoenix-manga/phnxart), they’re moving together. However, Kalim tends them about it, so before they do anything like that, they have to make sure the coast is all clear.
If it’s not Kalim, then Elena is always the first to taste his cooking. Also she’s a horrible cook so sometimes Jamil would help her out, even if it gets a little frustrating
PDA? It’s more private, they only hold hands or Jamil has an arm around her, nothing more or less. But in private? You can bet that Elena is showering him with lovebites and hickeys. Occasional praises, but nothing too far from it. Unless Jamil says, well you know how it goes 👀
The tension between those time is thick enough to cut through. Even if they walk past each other in the halls, their eyes says it all when they gaze at each other.

Anthropomorphic Cars and Trains, Rated
My 2-year-old is completely obsessed with anything with wheels rn, so I’ve lately been inundated with media exposure to cars and trains that have been given faces, and my goal here today is to convince everyone to STOP DOING THIS THING. I will look at 4 specific franchises and compare variant designs. I am completely and willfully avoiding the Rule 34 fan art that I know exists for some of these (you’re welcome) because tbh animators and illustrators have done a horrific job with some of these on their own. Also, quick shout out to the franchises I will not cover that have managed to give us car characters without faces (Trolley from Mr. Rogers’/ Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, you’re doing great sweety).
Cars
Tumblr media
The bright red is a great choice for little kids who are drawn to the high contrast. Eyes in the windshield makes sense because that’s where a driver would actually see out of, but it ends up with that kid of weird Sonic the Hedgehog one giant eye look. Mouth here looks okay and the headlights kind of look like nostrils without being gross. 7/10 it’s fine
Tumblr media
Okay so now it has teeth, which I am not a fan of because now I have to think about what exactly this thing eats. Gasoline does not go there so??? The teeth are also like the eyes in that it looks like there’s just one big tooth on top and bottom, but okay I can buy that because it sort of resembles a bumper. 6.5/10 do cars really need chompers
Tumblr media
Not only does it have a tongue but it’s a loooooong tongue and I do not want to know why it needs one. 3/10 and I haven’t seen the third movie but I heard it has a brain in that one, so Disney please stop thinking so hard about the biology of a car
Chevron Car Mascots
Tumblr media
I remember seeing these commercials as a kid and thinking they were kind of creepy. I guess the headlights as eyes makes sense but it means they don’t have noses and very flat faces. There are separated teeth but it’s still pretty cartoony. The design is kind of saved by the claymation. 6/10 just a little uncomfortable
I vaguely remember they made toys of these so I looked them up and
Tumblr media
Yes they all have teeth like that. Why. Why do they need those. This toy is the one you will refuse to sleep in the same room as because 100% it is going to come to life in the middle of the night and devour you. 0/10 thanks for the nightmares Chevron
The Little Engine That Could
Tumblr media
This was the version I had growing up and it’s perfect. The face on the upper part where the steam comes out makes it look like a sphinx, it’s just like lying there on the track. He’s a happy lil guy having a good time. Mouth is just white so I’m not thinking about teeth at all. 10/10 maybe I’m biased but I don’t care, this one is the best
Tumblr media
In this one they added rosy cheeks, which made it look kind of clownish but also it makes sense because she puts in a lot of effort to pull the other cars in the story. Also added eyelashes so you know she is a girl, which is lazy design but also yay representation since most of these characters are boys? 8/10 not as good as the original but okay
Tumblr media
This update is great! He has a line mouth that is kind of smirking so he’s like happy but determined like “I’ll show you what I can do!” Plus now it looks like he has a little hat. 11/10 good improvements on the original
Tumblr media
-1/10 this is a bug not a train
Tumblr media
From a movie version. No, absolutely not. What did you do to him? His eyes are headlights but on the outside of his head??? And now the front of the engine is both his nose AND mouth (I see separated teeth and s tongue in there). Also the driver area is open and visible so it’s like we can see inside his head and there is nothing there, even the child won’t ride there and is on top of him because gross. -50/10 how dare you

Pairing: Marinette/Ladybug | Adrien/Chat Noir Words: 3950 Summary: Ladybug knew this was necessary. She was the Guardian. He had the Cat Miraculous. But when his suit evaporated in a glow of pale green, she sure hadn’t expected him to have something far more precious: her heart. Cross-posted: AO3 and FFN

Chapter Ten
The boings of Alya and Nino playing Super Penguino only somewhat muffled the soft and mellow strums of Luka’s guitar. It was a nice melody, Adrien wouldn’t deny. He’d thought the same thing a week ago, when they’d all sat by the Seine with André’s ice cream in hand.
But back then, he hadn’t known Luka had composed it just for Marinette. That it was supposedly her song.
How could he have known?
It was soft, but not nearly sweet enough. And laidback, rather than lively. And while it was pleasant, it lacked the passion befitting of his friend.
Her passion for sewing.
Her passion for helping others.
Her passion for standing up for what she believed in.
Adrien watched as she drew out a breath from her freckle-dusted nose, as her pink lips curved into an easy smile, as her bluebell eyes fluttered shut. Her elbow brushed his own as she tipped her head against Luka’s shoulder.
He felt pressure on his hand—a reminder that he still held Kagami’s. His eyes met hers, and the question that clouded her gaze was enough to spark surprise in his own. Someone had squeezed the other’s hand, but that someone hadn’t been her—
A gasp stole his attention. “Dudes!” Nino’s left hand clutched half of Alya’s iPad, while his right jabbed toward the TV. “Check out the news!”
Adrien did just that.
And sucked in a breath at the sight he beheld.
The concerned face of Nadja Chamack filled the screen. Live footage appeared of an offensively coloured tower that soared into the sky, its abstract surface jarring against the bygone architecture of the buildings around it.
Adrien knew the area. At least five minutes away by baton.
Alya lunged at the coffee table. “Unmute!” she screamed, snatching up the remote with a crazed look in her eye. One fierce jab of her finger—
“—in Montparnasse, where a new villain is turning Paris into an abstract nightmare!”
The screen flicked to a series of clips. Fleeing Parisians. Multicoloured beams. Anything they touched – people, buildings, buses, pigeons – transformed into an eye-achingly colourful and contorted version of its former self.
“As always, authorities advise all Parisians to stay indoors until Ladybug and Chat—”
Zap!
Colour swarmed across Nadja’s body. Her lips swelled. Her nose went freakishly thin. Her left eye bulged and climbed a good three inches up her face. And although her body was off screen, Adrien had a sneaking suspicion it looked just as ill-proportioned. With a gasp, she stumbled out of frame.
A figure dropped from the sky, his body as obnoxiously bright as the tower that loomed behind him. He skulked toward the screen, a sneer scrunching the enormous, triangular nostrils on his severely misshapen face. “I am Putricasso!” The footage faltered at the hands of an unseen cameraman. “And soon, all of Paris will be as breath-taking as Picasso’s fine creations!”
With narrow eyes, Putricasso aimed an oversized paint brush at the screen.
The TV went static.
Adrien’s knee bobbed. Their first akuma in a week. Of course, it had to happen mid-group gathering. His eyes zipped around the apartment. He needed an excuse—
Marinette flew to her feet. “Actually—” A wince warped her face as she reeled back onto the sofa, hunched forward with her hand around her ankle. “I’ve – uh – changed my mind.” She stood again, this time slowly and with greater success. “I should definitely see a doctor. Just in case.”
He sprung up beside her. “I’ll take you!”
“NO!”
By the sheer desperation in her voice, one might’ve thought he was dragging her into danger right along with him.
“I mean YES!” She slapped her hands together. “Take me now!” Her eyes flew wide. “To the doctors! Take me now to the doctors. Please.” He didn’t miss her limp as she looked between Nino, Kagami and Luka, an apologetic smile at the ready. Her eyes lingered on Luka especially.
Alya was too busy frantically tapping her phone screen to pay them all any mind.
“Sorry I couldn’t stay longer, guys.” Marinette’s fingers drummed against her pink, flowery clutch. “Injury aside, it’s been fun!” She was already hobbling toward the front door.
Adrien scooped his grey messenger bag off the floor, threw it over one shoulder, and turned to Kagami. He was met by a question:
“Can I come along?”
His shoulders shot to his ears. “Err – No need, Kagami! I’ll, uh, be quick.”
Her gaze swerved to Marinette, then back to him. “Okay.”
“Hey, Marinette?” Luka’s voice drew Adrien’s focus. “Are we still on for tomorrow?” The musician smiled at her from the sofa, guitar propped in his lap.
She was halfway to the exit, but stopped to beam at him all the same. “Of course! No way am I letting my clumsiness ruin our movie date.” For the second time today, she winked at Luka.
Adrien’s smile felt forced.
Until her attention turned to him.
“Ready, Adrien?”
He nodded and, after a brief farewell to his friends, rushed to her side. “Let’s go.”
As she continued to limp toward the exit, he identified a glaring flaw in his escape plan. He needed time to take her to the doctor’s. And time was something he had none of right now.
Crap.
Adrien could think of several reasons as to why he couldn’t ditch her.
Reason one? It’d be a terrible thing to do.
Reason two? It’d be awfully suspicious after offering to take her in the first place.
Reason three? She really did need his help.
But damn it, so did Ladybug. And all of Paris for that matter. Maybe he could speed things up somehow—
“Hold the fort, Nino!” Alya, who Adrien was sure had been on the sofa just a second ago, flashed by them in a blur of orange and blue. “Your girl’s gotta bounce!”
“Babe?!” Nino sputtered from his seat. “You’ve – You’ve got guests!”
Alya swung the front door aside, revealing a public stairwell of wooden steps and copper railing. “Montparnasse is, like, a twenty-minute metro away. If I jet now, I might make the end of the battle!” She threw Marinette a one-handed finger gun. “Rest that foot up, girl!” And with that, she was off.
Marinette frowned at the front door, still ajar. “I swear she has no sense of self preservation.”
“With Ladybug protecting Paris, at least we know she’s in safe hands.”
She met his smile with one of her own. “You mean Ladybug and Chat Noir.”
His lips parted, a merry “thank you” at the ready, until he realised that’d be a pretty odd response from Adrien Agreste. “You’re right,” he said instead, following her through the front door. “I’ll be back soon, everyone!” (He hoped.)
While he clicked the door shut behind him, Marinette limped up to the first set of steps in their way. With her fingers around the handrail, she put her right foot forward, gauging her weight on step number one as though testing the temperature of a swimming pool.
Hold up.
Did she plan to scale these stairs on her own?
He stepped forward. “If you’d like, I can—”
“No.” Her answer was short, but not impolite. More like she was on a mission. “I’ve got this.”
“You sure?”
The front of her ballerina flat touched the first step. Seeming satisfied with the level of pain, she ventured forward.
“Yeah, I’m—”
Her ankle buckled.
He lunged after her.
One hand clutched the curve of her waist.
The other gripped her shoulder.
“—totally in need of a little assistance.”
A little giggle followed her words and he couldn’t help but smile. He levelled her onto her feet. “Say no more.” Knees bent, he eased one hand across her back, while his other reached down to loop behind her legs.
A thought made him pop back to full height.
Was it socially acceptable to carry her bridal-style?
“Err – With your permission?”
The question hung in the air. And was it a trick of the light? Or were her cheeks a little rosier than usual? Maybe he needed an ice breaker. The kind of comment she’d expect from Chat Noir. He’d carried her bridal style on more than one occasion.
“No altars, I promise.”
“I – I – Uh—”
Mistakes were made.
Her eyes darted every which way. None of those ways crossed paths with his own. And— Oh no! Her cheeks were definitely rosy now. Had he just made her more uncomfortable?
“Sure,” she squeaked, much like the sound that had inspired the nickname ‘Marimouse’ last night. “Fine. Totally fine. Like, one hundred percent A-OK.” She placed her right hand across the nape of his neck, emphasising her words.
With a quiet sigh of relief, Adrien lifted her from the stairs into his arms, and her left hand slid behind his neck to join her right. He hadn’t started out his day expecting to sweep a cute girl off her feet, but here he was. That joke rode the tip of his tongue, barely withheld, because jeez, his last attempt at ice breaking had gone just splendidly.
As he began their descent down the stairs, Marinette spoke up again. “Sorry if I’m heavy...”
He almost laughed.
That hadn’t even crossed his mind.
His thoughts drifted a day into the past, to the puns they’d cracked in her kitchen. “Must’ve been the cheesecake. I’d batter be extra careful while carrying you down these stairs!”
Eager for her reaction, his eyes flicked from the steps to her face. She didn’t disappoint.
No, she rolled her eyes.
He smirked in record time.
“I swear you’re like a walking punpedia.”
“You’re meant to egg me on, Marinette. Have I tarte you nothing?”
Banana puns. Baking puns. He was on a roll today. Punning against an artsy villain would be a piece of cake.
“Gosh, I pun with you once and suddenly, we’re pun buddies.”
Had his hands not been preoccupied, Adrien would’ve placed one to his heart. “Why, I hope you’re not planning to dessert me?” This time, she groaned, but he didn’t miss the slight upward tilt of her lips. “Because that would mousse definitely make me sad.”
With a shake of her head, she finally cracked a smile. Briefly, he wished he didn’t have to watch where he was going, so he could freely enjoy the fruits of his labours.
A few seconds ticked by, the thumps of his shoes against wood filling the silence. He reached a stair landing, strode by two doors, then continued down another set of steps.
Marinette sighed. “I feel kinda bad about leaving early.”
Adrien’s brows curled. If either of them should feel bad right now, it was him. He’d invited Kagami, after all, and here he was leaving her despite knowing she wasn’t at ease around acquaintances.
“Don’t feel bad, Marinette. Your health comes first. Any one of our friends would say the same.”
She was silent.
But one glance at her face revealed lips pursed by thought.
“Is this about leaving Luka?”
From the corner of his eye, Marinette nodded. “I just feel so lame for ditching him.”
Adrien shrugged. Well, as much as he could with her in his arms. “I’m sure he understands. I know I would if I was in his shoes.”
A quiet pause.
“You’re right.”
Adrien didn’t need to peel his eyes from the steps to know she was smiling. “So, uhh”—he cleared his throat—“did he really compose that song just for you?”
Another nod on her end.
“That’s pretty cool.” Even if it didn’t suit her as well as it could’ve. “Maybe I should compose a song for you,” he thought aloud, already sifting through piano pieces he knew for inspiration. Something bright. Strong. Resilient. Joyful! Playing it needed to make him as happy as being around her did.
“I, um… I should probably text my parents.” Her left hand dropped from his neck to pull a smart phone from the front pocket of her pants. “I’m sure they’ll be happy to take me to the doctors, so you don’t have to.”
“Oh. Well, I…” It sure made transforming easier, but he still had to ask, “If that’s not too much trouble?”
With a shake of her head, Marinette held her phone near his shoulder. “‘Course not.” It clicked as she typed. “And this way you don’t have to leave everyone.”
Little did she know.
While Marinette tucked away her phone, he scaled the last of the steps and approached a wooden door, its surface scuffed from years of use. “Could you—”
Sure enough, she was already reaching for the brass knob.
They exchanged a smile as he planted his back to the door and reversed his way into an open-air corridor. “Nice work, team.”
That got a giggle out of her.
With Marinette still in his arms, Adrien strode by rows of beige mailboxes, a letter half hanging from one of the slots. She extended a hand and pushed it the rest of the way in.
“In case it’s something important.”
“Very typical of you,” he said with a wink.
Her eyes fell to her lap, but not before she smiled.
As they approached an iron gate, he recalled her earlier advice that it was never actually locked, and coaxed it open with his back. The street was fairly quiet. A few pigeons. A couple of motoring cars. And an old lady walking her sausage dog.
He glanced back at the entrance corridor beyond the iron gate. It’d make a good transformation spot. Well, as long as Marinette didn’t see him race inside, only for Chat Noir to leave a second later.
With that in mind, Adrien rounded a nearby corner to be met by an equally quiet street. Bending his knees, he set her down on the sidewalk and placed his hands on her shoulders, ready to catch her at a moment’s notice. “You okay to stand, Marinette?”
Her answer, as it turned out, was to press her petite fingers flush against his chest.
A second later, he froze as she slapped her hands to her face. “Sorry!” She peeked up at him from through her fingers. “I – Uh – The designer in me! She felt bad for creasing your dress shirt!”
That made sense.
Adrien placed a hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, Marinette. I’m a fashion model, remember? Unannounced crease correcting comes with the territory.” He chuckled. “Besides, I prefer you doing it as opposed to some stranger.” After two light pats on her shoulder, his hand returned to his side, and his fingers drummed against his thighs. “So, err…” As much as he needed to scat, leaving her alone felt a little impolite. “I can keep you company until your parents get here?”
Marinette toyed with the hem of her cardigan. “That’s, uh, awfully nice of you, Adrien, but there’s really no need.” She tapped her fingers together as she peered up at him. “I – I mean, not that I don’t want your company. Your company’s great. You just… umm… probably wanna get back to everyone else, right?”
Well, not exactly.
He slipped a hand behind his neck. “Are you sure, Marinette?”
“Adrien.” The boldness of her tone alone made him still. “Gateau of here.”
Did…
Did she just…
The smile that swept across her lips was answer enough. Man, she was awesome!
“How can I say dough to that?” With a broad grin, he took two steps back the way they came. “Take it easy on that ankle, okay?”
“Uh – Yeah! Will do.”
“And I guess I’ll… see you Monday?”
“Yup. Monday! That’s when you’ll next be seeing me.”
“Great. See you then!”
With a two-fingered salute, he ducked around the corner and backtracked through the gate, rows of mailboxes affixed to the wall on his right.
Plagg zipped out of his messenger bag. “Finally!” By the way he snickered, he wasn’t really bothered. “Parting with your girlfriend is such sweet sorrow, hmm?”
Nope. Definitely not bothered.
“You said the same thing yesterday, Plagg.” He fiddled with the cuff of his dress shirt. “You know she’s just a friend.”
His kwami floated closer. “Don’t you mean a pun buddy?”
Adrien gave a wry smile. “Speaking of which”—he launched out his fist—“Plagg, claws out!”
In a flash of blinding green, Chat Noir stood where Adrien Agreste once had. He approached the gate, scanned the street for any onlookers, then raced out onto the sidewalk.
One tap of his baton launched him heavenward—and with a highly essential flip, he dropped to a nearby rooftop. In the distant cityscape, Montparnasse Tower stood like a sky-high circus.
“Good thing I’m wearing my clown costume.” He tapped the glowing paw on his staff, revealing its screen. “No messages from M’Lady? Well colour me shocked.”
A few taps brought up the latest akuma update. No heroes on the scene yet. He glanced at his Bugabeacon. By the looks of it, she hadn’t transformed yet. Seemed he wasn’t the only one running fashionably late.
Chat gripped his staff tighter.
This was their first battle since his reveal.
Ladybug’s first battle with Adri—
No.
Her second battle with Adrien.
And an agonising reminder of his desire to prove himself.
Sure, Chat Noir had done so for over a year, but he wasn’t just Chat Noir anymore. No, he was also Adrien Agreste, who’d failed to save her as Aspik for three months straight. Adrien Agreste, whose nightmares had been haunted by Desperada ever since. Adrien Agreste, who longed for redemption.
And today was his chance.
---
Marinette tottered into a nearby alleyway and propped her back against a weather-worn wall. Two painkillers, a dollop of anti-inflammatory cream and twenty minutes of ice-pack time, yet somehow her ankle throbbed more now than it had right after her fall.
Tikki whizzed out of her pink clutch, concern swimming in her eyes.
“Our first akuma in a week and I’ll be spending it stumbling through Paris.” Marinette pushed off the wall to test out the injury. A little weight was wince-worthy, but bearable. Anything more active was another story. “Will my transformation do anything to ease the pain?”
Her kwami shook her head. “I’m sorry, Marinette! Injuries you get while de-transformed are out of my control. You’ll just have to be extra careful.”
So it looked like she’d have to keep anything too jarring to a minimum. Well, try to. Running and jumping were kind of necessary when it came to yoyo swinging and dodging dangerous projectiles.
“I’ll have to fight through the pain.” She shifted her weight to her good ankle. “At least it’s just a sprain. Or there’s no way I’d be standing.”
Five storeys up, a blur of black leapt over the alley.
Tikki frowned. “What about Chat Noir?”
A touch of dread rematerialized, gripping her chest as it had upstairs. She’d thought – well, maybe freaked out – about that on the way down. Though observing Adrien’s own ditch attempt had been a welcome distraction. And a fascinating one at that.
“He saw me walking fine during patrol last night.” She cupped her chin. “It’ll be hard to come up with a believable excuse, but...”
“I’m sure you’ll think of something.”
Marinette nodded. “I have to.” Purpose hardened her eyes. “Tikki, spots on!”
Latex washed up her body in a glow of pale pink. Immediately, Ladybug reassessed her ankle, hoping for a miracle.
Alas, Lady Luck couldn’t solve everything.
She flicked up the screen of her yoyo. According to her Kitty Tracker, Chat Noir was already five blocks ahead of her. “He’s really hightailing it over there,” she thought aloud, and hurled her yoyo at the rim of the roof above. One tug sent her skyward.
Her toes touched down.
Her ankle caved.
Her knees slammed against the roof.
Ladybug groaned. “Focus!” The second time in a week she’d said that very thing. She’d let down her friends, her master, all of Paris. She refused to be that useless today.
Never again.
Ladybug hoisted herself to her feet and stared out at the Parisian skyline. Montparnasse Tower reached for the clouds like a multicoloured beacon. It’d already been about ten minutes since that footage had aired. She needed to get there fast.
But how could she do that with a busted ankle?
The Horse Miraculous wasn’t an option. The Miracle Box was stowed away in Master Fu’s old phonograph, atop the chest that housed Adrien’s many birthday gifts. Getting home would take almost as long as stumbling to Montparnasse.
A lightbulb went off in her head.
What if she embraced her inner Spider-Man? Swing more. Land less. Rest her ankle on the way there. Yeah, that could work. It’d be better than pushing her ankle before she’d even engaged Putricasso.
With her mind made up, she hurled her yoyo at a distant chimney. And as she spideyed her way over to Montparnasse, a month-old memory replayed in her mind.
The sinking sun set the sky ablaze, splashing the Arc de Triomphe with its golden glow. Her legs swayed off the ledge of the aged monument in time with Chat Noir’s, while cars hummed underfoot.
“Hey, LB?” He grinned at her, the tiny straw of a juice box brushing his lips. “Has it ever occurred to you that you’re like a female Spider-Man?”
“Y’know, my friends were discussing that very thing this week.”
“Ha! Mine too.” He took a hearty sip. “It makes sense, right? You’re both bug-themed. You wear lots of red. You swing around the city.”
“So if my comic counterpart’s Spider-Man, who’s yours?”
Chat puffed out his chest. “I am Batman,” he rasped, his voice an octave lower.
She snorted. “I was thinking more along the lines of Cat Woman.”
With a pout, he passed the juice box to her awaiting hand. “Why not Black Panther?”
“Who?”
“Wow, M’Lady!” He slapped a dramatic paw to his heart. “That hurts my very soul!”
Through a smile, Ladybug took a small sip of juice. “Well,” she eventually said, “I think Chat Noir’s a much cooler superhero anyway.”
The smile he flashed her could’ve powered all of Europe.
Then he opened his mouth.
“Does this mean I can’t call you Spider-Woman?”
Ladybug couldn’t help but laugh as she soared through the autumn air. She considered telling him their silly talk had come in handy. Maybe she’d even let him call her Paris’ friendly neighbourhood ladybug. He’d get a kick out of that for sure.
Up ahead, Montparnasse Tower was a fast-approaching eyesore—and a reminder that she still needed a reason for her injury. One scan of the area drew her attention to an ice rink. A very familiar ice rink. An excuse bloomed in her brain. A skating accident. One she’d suffered from first thing this morning. It wasn’t her finest cover-up, but her choices were gut-churningly limited. If ever there was a day for her luck to shine through, today was it.
With each street she swung through, the beige brickwork and timeworn buildings of Paris evolved into a mess of colourful shapes. Rooms stuck out at odd angles, far from structurally sound. Flying pigeons defied the laws of aerodynamics, their wings branching from their bodies like two featherless triangles. And Parisians panicked in the streets, their faces distorted and their bodies a jumbled state of jagged shapes. If a unicorn caught a stomach bug, she imagined the aftermath would look a lot like this.
A multicoloured beam sliced through the sky—just past Montparnasse Cemetery, where an expanse of tombstones dotted the land. More beams burst from between a distant street and with narrowed eyes, she veered toward them.

can i get headcanons for bakugou please?? like you’re going to meet bakugou at his room as usual but when you arrive, you overhear him talking with kirishima about you and your heart is going to explode because he never told these things to you directly
“I fucking told you already, Kirishima!”
“What? You said nothing clear and I asked you something really simple”
Your curiosity got the best of you, so you refrained from opening the door fully
“I… kinda hate her less than the rest of you.”
“No shit, you are in a relationship with her!”
“Spikes!” Bakugou growled and Kirishima held his hands up in mock surrender
“You little shit, you would never understand my feelings for her anyways”
“Try me”
“She is the greatest, fit for the greatest, me. She is so strong and clever, has so many fucking good qualities and is really compassionate. She is the best of the best, the most perfect girl.”
“Plus she puts up with a jerk like you…”
“What did you just whisper, hedgehog hair?!?!”
“You have the same hairstyle!”
“Ah? I will fucking kill you!”
As the boys were bickering, you stood by the door, feeling dizzy
Your heart clenched in your chest, blood rushing to your cheeks
You were just so… happy you felt you could die
Katsuki was not the most verbal person, so now that you heard what you needed you were on cloud nine
You knocked on the door, asking if you could come in
“Yes, I was ready to go anyways!” Kirishima opened the door fully for you and smiled
“No you were no-”
Kirishima elbowed Bakugou, making the latter choke on air comically
“Hahah, bye [Name]! See you guys around!”
“Kirishima I will-” Bakugou’s face was enraged for a moment but you cut him off
“Katsuki?”
“That bastard is going to die-”
“I am in love with you too.”
“I will break his neck-”
Suddenly he went silent, his eyeballs almost coming out of his skull as his gaze shifted to you
When he was met with your bright smile and rosy cheeks he felt himself getting all hot too
“Don’t say things like this, idiot.”
“I am in love with you too.”
“[Name], damn!”
“I will not stop until you say it back,” you told him, your smile now even greater and a tad taunting
“As if”
“What is that? Is little Katsuki too afraid to express his feelings?” You mocked, imitating the almost permanent scowl on his face
Katsuki let out a disapproving sound
“I am in love with you, and all that sappy shit!” He shouted, and before you knew what was happening he was kissing you roughly, holding you impossibly close without ever hurting you
“You should have already known, brat, I don’t invite just about anyone in my room.”
“I wanted to hear you say it, and I am glad you did.”
Katsuki suddenly started rubbing your cheeks gently
“Can’t have my woman’s cheeks be in pain-you are smiling way too much…” And at that, he kissed your forehead softly.
How could you even not know he was in love with you?

A Touch of Blue, A Smidge of Pink
Author’s Note: Domestic nonsense is good for the soul
Series: Sonic the Hedgehog
Pairing: Sonic/Amy Rose (Sonamy)
Length: 2080 words
Rating: Safe
Mornings suck.
That was the mantra of Amy Rose.
A mantra she repeated as she dragged herself out of a losing battle with the comfort of her pillow. A mantra she recited as she lazily brushed her teeth. A mantra she droned as she brewed her regular morning coffee.
“Mornin’ Ames!”
A mantra that apparently meant nothing to her bright-eyed, bushy tailed boyfriend as he strolled into the kitchen. Sonic, as per usual, was clad in his regular jogging attire - red sweat-shirt and those goofy looking shorts. She honestly had no idea what possessed him to even buy those but she was glad to have a few chuckles whenever she saw him wearing them.
“Ughhhnnffgh.”
“Gonna assume that means ‘G’Morning, Sonic!’” he mocked in falsetto. Amy rolled her eyes with a smile before they widened at the plate of fresh cooked bacon and eggs he slid in front of her. “‘Gee, Sonic! I do appreciate y’all cooking breakfast fer me!’”
“Since when do I have a country accent?”
He grinned with that dumb look on his face before planting a kiss on her forehead. “Since now. I’ll be back before lunch!”
Sonic jogged out the door, energetic and happy as can be. Amy was left in the fumes of a thoughtfully cooked breakfast. She briefly considered altering her daily mantra.
Mornings suck…when your roommate isn’t a total dork.
--
Every drawer,
Every closet,
Every dresser,
Empty.
He could’ve sworn he had it. He knew because he always made sure to wash it separate from Amy’s clothes. His girlfriend never did let him live down those pink shorts…
Sonic sifted through every inch of the apartment. The place was fairly small. It shouldn’t have been that hard to find, right? So why was it missing? He scratched his quills, baffled as he finished sorting through another pile of clothes scattered on the floor. Or did he already go through this one? Was he just rooting in circles the whole time? How were they even able to fit so many clothes in such a tiny space?
The click of the door interrupted Sonic’s muddled brain. With a sigh, Amy strolled  “I’m home, Sonic! I bought chili-”
“Amy!”
“-dogs…”
In a burst of speed not unlike the hedgehog’s namesake, Sonic rushed towards her. The look he gave her was that of one slowly slipping off into insanity. He caught her off guard, clutching at both her shoulders.
“Amy, have you seen my shirt?!” he babbled, going on about rummaging through the apartment, how he could’ve sworn he had it in the closet of their shared room. Sonic’s ranting would’ve continued had he not taken a closer look at the girl’s clothes.
A white, short sleeved shirt, just about a few sizes bigger than her, and on it was a promo art for his favorite movie: Chao in Space 2: Perfect Chaos Strikes Back. Sonic scrutinized her, not out of malice or anger. In fact, she looked rather adorable in it. “Oh, this shirt?” Amy blushed when he continued to stare dumbly at her. “You don’t mind if I wear it today do yo-“
“Nope.”
--
“You guys have tampons?”
The cashier raised an eyebrow. Sonic, the owner of the said question didn’t even bat an eye as the phrase left his mouth.
“Uhh, yeah. Aisle 6…” the clerk answered awkwardly. He didn’t expect the hedgehog to utter something many males never dared to.
“Kay, cool.”
He especially didn’t expect him to just directly stroll down to the exact aisle he pointed to. Most guys would circle around the store for a bit, look like they were gonna buy other things before the fact. The cashier side-eyed him. He just casually picked up the box and is walking to the register! Easy-going smile and relaxed attitude to boot.
He really shouldn’t be prying into the lives of customers but he needed to know. Amazed at his boldness, the cashier asked, “Girlfriend?”
Absentmindedly, Sonic looked up from getting the money from his wallet. “Oh, yeah! Just buying ‘em in advance for when the week rolls around.”
“Y’know, not a lot of guys are awful calm ‘bout getting these.”
“Why? They’re just tampons.” He was being sincere. Like genuinely sincere.
“Oh.” was the only thing the clerk could reply and Sonic barely paid any mind. Now it was his turn to be embarrassed. He awkwardly bagged the box of tampons, realizing he was a bit too amazed. “Th-thank you, sir. Have a pleasant day…”
“Thanks!” Sonic waved and went about his merry way.
To whoever the lucky girl was, he was a keeper.
--
“Open.”
“Mmmm…”
“Open your mouth, Sonic.”
“Mmmmmmmmm…”
“You’re not going to get better if you keep acting like a baby.”
He grumbled. In annoyed reluctance, Sonic followed the order and allowed Amy to shove whatever green concoction was on that spoon into his mouth. His gag reflex kicked in sooner than he anticipated.
“Ackpthh!!” The bedridden hog sputtered. His taste buds cried out in agony. A myriad of flavors hit his tongue all at once yet they were all horrible. Sonic forced the rancid liquid down his throat, plopping himself back onto his pillow.
“Amy,” he rasped between sniffles, “that tasted like the bastard child of cyanide and nightmares.” His sinuses were clogged and cheeks were red.
The pink one huffed. “Oh don’t be so dramatic! It’s a home remedy for the flu!”
“Tha flu, or an exorcism?” he reeled back from her instant glare. Before he could open his mouth again, Amy responded with a thermometer shoved into his mouth. He really should know better than to insult her cooking. “Sthowwy.”
“Yeah, you better be,” Amy grumbled. “No more jogging for you today.”
Sonic weakly tried to complain but it was probably for the best. He could imagine how horrible such a thing would be – nearly passing out from an inability to breathe properly, that annoying raspy feeling that would never go away no matter how much water he drank, the splitting headaches that would follow. Yikes.
Reading the thermometer, Amy palmed his forehead. “101. Looks like a fever.” Softly, she tucked him further into his bed. “You’re gonna have to take it easy for today, Sonic.”
“Yeah, ok fine.” He coughed, turning to his side on his pillow.
Amy cracked a small smirk. He was almost looked cute like that, resting his cheek against his pillow. Oh, who was she kidding – he is cute like that, snuggled up like a little baby. Her little baby. “Want some soup?”
“Chicken noodle please?”
She chuckled. “Sure.”
“And a movie?”
“Of course.”
They both smiled sweetly at each other in silence. Sonic couldn’t appreciate her more, always willing to take care of him no matter how annoying he was.Just as Amy was about to return to the kitchen, the sick boyfriend chirped once more.
“Hey, Ames?”
She turned to him once again, catching that goofy grin across his lips.
“I love you.”
Amy chuckled, returning that same grin. “Love you too.”
--
“Video games?”
“Nah.”
Sonic never seemed to find a cure for Sundays. Chores are done, weekend festivities are finished, and there was nothing left to do.
“TV?”
“Ehhhhhhh.”
Nothing left but stare aimlessly into space, sprawled across the couch. His brain vegetating by the second. Amy too had joined in his layabout wallowing. Her boredom, while not on the same level as her lover’s, had needed to be quelled, lest they spend the remainder of Pre-Monday at the mercy of the painted white ceiling.
“Wanna make out?”
“N-”
Sonic paused, momentarily trapped in time and space. The hamster wheel in his brain needed to work overtime just to process the sentence. A proper response would’ve given Mr. Chewy a heart attack.
“Ayeeaugh”
Take two:
“Erm…y-yes?”
--
Amy’s “hair” always fascinated Sonic.
It wasn’t really hair, much rather quills. Shorter than his, yet they were freer. He’d run his fingers through them numerous times, never once tiring of its feeling.
On the nights they spooned each other to sleep, Sonic relished the touch of her hair against his face. Her rosy scent never failing to lull him to sleep.
And on mornings, during those rare occasions where she wakes up before him, he’d watch her brush it. With an arm propped and facing her back, Sonic watched each careful stroke. He approached, a playful hug from behind and a groggy ‘good morning’ exchanged between them.
He’d embrace her and kiss her, yet he’d always take careful heed not to ruin her precious hair.
--
Sonic hated snow.
The biting cold. Annoyingly slippery ice. Having to wear coats that make you look like a walking marshmallow. It was horrible. Under usual circumstances, he wouldn’t bother taking another step in that white hellscape.
“Come on, Sonic! Let’s go get some hot chocolate!”
But this wasn’t a usual circumstance.
“I’m coming, I’m co-OOF!” Sonic’s face was immediately met with chilling slosh. Blasted ice. Of course, his thick layers of jackets made getting up a chore all on its own. The heavy sheet of liquid-solid-death was already starting to engulf him.
“Help.”
His girlfriend was at least able to see the humor in his fumble when he couldn’t. Hiding her snickers, she helped him to his feet, preferably away from the patches of ice. She regarded him with a teasing smile.
“Why can’t we just have hot chocolate inside?” Sonic pleaded. “In the warmth? In our comfortable apartment? Away from this,” he kicked the nearest pile of snow, only to instantly regret it when the cold substance seeped into his shoe. “STUFF OF SATAN.”
Amy felt bad about it but she couldn’t help but giggle at how he frantically wiggled his leg to get the melting snow away from his sock. “It’s not that bad!” she consoled. “I mean, look at how pretty it is outside!” she looked above, calmly enjoying the beautiful display of falling flakes from the sky.
Sonic instead, shivered in place, a sour grimace on his face (along with the freezing cold snow-now-turned-moisture). “It’s bitter out…”
Amy responded by wrapping her scarf around them both, pulling the two hedgehogs together. “Well, it’s sweeter with you here.” She sang playfully.
Her words dropped with a loving smile adorned on her lips. Sonic pouted. It was difficult to be unpleasant and suffering in the presence of such a ray of sunshine. He tried nonetheless.
“…Amy, that is the corniest thing you’ve ever said.”
“You lo~ve it.”
And failed miserably.
“Yeah, I do.” Sonic draped an arm around her shoulder as they walked.
Suddenly, fresh hot chocolate outside didn’t seem so bad.
--
Sonic lost track of the time passed.
He was normally a heavy sleeper, nothing short of his girlfriend able to properly wake him when asleep. Now wasn’t one of those times.
Sonic twisted to his side, greeted by his lovely rose, their limbs entangled and cuddled gently. As he watched her peaceful slumber, Sonic’s mind raced a mile a minute. Useless thoughts normally abuzz in his brain, next morning’s breakfast, who’s turn it is for doing dishes, those piles of clothes Amy always nagged him to clean.
Amy.
The pink hedgehog had a penchant for barging into his mind. She always knew where that key was. Not that he minded in the slightest. Sonic loved her. He hadn’t found a specific reason why – he just did. Her beautiful looks, her boundless care for him, his desire to just make her happy. All factors in his need to love her.
Sonic flashed back to his youth; his awkward pre-teen years and his uncertainty in his preferences. The pink hedgehog came into his life around that time, somehow leaving him more confused. She was a persistent one, he gave her that much. She chased him with admirable gusto and determination. With age came maturity and eventually, bonds and friendships strengthened.
Now here they were; sharing an apartment, coddling each other well past midnight. Sonic could almost laugh at how his situation escalated. Even then, he had no regrets. Assuming he even had time for any.
Sonic patted Amy’s delicate locks. He held her close, feeling as though she’d disappear from him in an instant if he let go. Subconsciously, she returned the hug, pulling herself tighter to his chest. Their warmth combined comfortably, leaving them both in comfort neither would dare give up.
It wasn’t until then did he realize what he’d woken up for in the first place.
“I have to pee.”

Sonamy One shot -
A/N -
Sonic Boom Sonamy fluff. Amy is behaving oddly, and Sonic starts freaking out.
It was a pleasant day in Hedgehog village, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, Eggman was attacking.
“I’ll be a back you blue buffoon!” Eggman yelled as he retreated to his lair.
The team cheered happily.
“Another victory for team Sonic!” Sonic yelled as he high fived his fox friend.
“Who’s hungry?” Tails questioned, “That battle’s made me starving, anyone up for Meh Burger?”
“Sounds good buddy, I could go for a chilly dog about now.” Sonic replied as he patted his stomach.
They began walking, before one of their team mates spoke up.
“Actually guys I’ve got to…I’ve got a thing, I’ll see you later.” The pink hedgehog said quickly before running off.
“Did anyone else think that was kinda…I don’t know strange?” Sonic mused as they walked over to the restaurant.
“What?” Knuckles replied as he scratched his head in confusion.
“Amy, she just ran off. Usually we get some lecture about where she’s going and why.” Sonic commented.
He’d never admit it, but Sonic really cared for the pink hedgehog, in his own way. She was always there for him, admittedly she could be bossy at times but she meant well. He also kinda liked that about her, it made her independent, strong, he knew she was a very capable woman. He also admired her honesty, which is why he found it odd to hear her make up a pathetic attempt at an excuse and then to run off.
“Now that you mention it, I guess it was a little strange.” Tails pondered.
With that the subject was changed after Sticks screamed about Amy being taken over by aliens from another dimension. They had ordered by now and had sat at one of the empty tables. Sonic still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong with Amy, it had distracted him so much for him to completely zone out of the conversation his team mates where having.
“If you’re that worried Sonic, why don’t you go check on Amy.” Knuckles said snapping Sonic out of his daydream.
“What, me? Worried? About Amy? Nah don’t be silly, and if I was it would be in a friendly way, comrades worry about each other, it perfectly normal! It’s not romantic, who said anything about romance? Why are you all looking at me?” Sonic rambled, he could feel his cheeks heating up has he kept speaking, but couldn’t seem to stop himself.
“Just go.” Sticks said monotonally.
“Ok.”He said flatly, and with that Sonic raced over to Amy’s home.
He arrived outside the door, and knocked. “Ames?” He shouted.
He heard a clatter inside the home, and a frantic sounding Amy shouting in response. “Just a minute!”
“Amy, are you ok?” Sonic said, panic washing over him slightly.
Suddenly the door swung open to reveal a very out of breath pink hedgehog.
“Sonic hey! What’s up?” Amy said smiling a sheepishly.
“I just came to see if you’re alright, you rushed off back there.” Sonic said as he shifted his weight from foot to foot nervously.
“Aww Sonic, that really sweet of you.” Amy said, he cheeks tinted with a rosy glow.
Sonic smiled in response, unsure of what to say or do with himself.
“But you really don’t need to worry, I’m fine.” She said leaning on the doorway a little.
“Ok…if you’re sure.” Sonic said in reply. “Can I come in?” He questioned.
He didn’t really believe what she was saying, and wanted to check everything was alright.
“NO!” Amy squealed, “I mean, now’s not really the best of times, how about you come over in say two hours from now?” She said as she looked at the watch on her wrist.
“Ok, sure.” Sonic definitely knew something was up, it was just a matter of what?
“Great, I’ll see you later then Sonic.” And with that she shut the door in his face.
“Yeah…I guess.” He said as he turned away.
He needed a second opinion on this, so he decided his fox friend would be the best person to ask. He zipped over the Tails’s workshop. Tails was working on his plain when Sonic arrived.
“Hey bud, do you mind if I ask you something?” He said as he entered.
“Sure, fire away.” Tails said in response, not even looking up at his blue friend.
“It about Amy, she’s acting super weird today, I went over there and she practically shooed me away.” He explained as he paced around the workshop.
“Ok, maybe she’s busy?” Tails said as he reached for the wrench next to him.
“Busy doing what though? Why does it have to be so secretive?” Sonic said, worry washed over him.
What if she’s got a date over? What if she’s dating someone? What if they’re in love? What would he do?
“Well, she might be writing a new screen play or in her diary or maybe she’s…” Tails rambled on with different suggestions of things Amy could be doing.
“Tails.” Sonic stopped pacing suddenly.
“Yeah?” This made him look up, Sonic sounded serious, which was a surprise to him.
“What…well what if she’s…I don’t know got a…got a date over?” Sonic said trailing off quietly.
“Look Sonic, you like Amy, don’t try and deny it, I’m your best friend I can tell.” Tails began, honesty he thought was the best policy here.
“So I think you should…”
“Like Amy…what no! Ok…look maybe she’s cute in a bossy sorta way. And maybe I do like her, and I mean is that really so bad? I mean she kind, she’s funny, and she’s my friend. Ok yeah SO WHAT! I like her ok, would you get off my back already geez!” Sonic gushed his words, not comprehending what he had said before they came out of his mouth.
“SONIC!” Tails shouted over his rambling friend.
Sonic snapped out of his rant, to look at the yellow fox that was now stood in front of him.
“If you’re that worried she’s on a date, go tell her how you feel now! And stop this ‘date’ in its tracks.” He said as he patted his blue friend on the shoulder.
“Uhh fine, but I’m only doing this to get you off my back.” Sonic replied with a sigh.
He zoomed out of the workshop, only to pop his head back through the door.
“Tails?” He said softly.
“Yeah?” Tails responded happily.
“Thanks.” He smiled shyly.
“No problem” Tails laughed and gave a thumbs up to his nerves comrade.
Sonic ran to Amy’s house, burst open the door and words poored out of him before he could even think about it.
“Amy look, I know you’re dating someone else. But I’ll be kicking myself for the rest of my life if I don’t tell you this now,” He was pacing around the room, he hadn’t even looked up to see the pink hedgehog.
“And well, what I’m trying to say, in a non-romantic way, wait no I mean in a romantic way, it…I…that is to say…I, l…whew this is harder than I thought It would be…I like you…I guess, I don’t know, maybe, a little…yeah…I do.” He stumbled over his words, but was satisfied with what he had said eventually.
What he had failed to notice was the pink woman stood In the kitchen covered in blue icing. Amy was about to scream at him when he entered her home unannounced, she’d been baking him a cake to celebrate their teams anniversary of becoming well a team. But before she could tell him to get out of the room so that he wouldn’t ruin the surprise, he began saying everything she had always wanted him to say.
He finally looked up too see her reaction, half expecting a very angry looking woman to be staring back at him. What he got was a woman with tears streaming down her face and the biggest grin smiling back at him.
“Oh Sonic!” She squealed and ran at him wrapping her arms around him.
They hit the ground with a thud, Amy looked down at the bewildered blue man underneath her.
“I like you too!” She said happily the tears making it hard for her to see his reaction.
And with that she planted her lips onto his, Sonic was having a mini heart attack under the pink hedgehog. What was happening? She liked him? Where was the date she was meant to be on! She was kissing him? Hold on she was kissing him! Their lips parted both panting breathlessly.
“I…I…wait why are you covered in blue icing?” He said reaching to some icing caught in her quills.
“Happy Anniversary Sonic!” She giggled, she sat up and pointed at the cake she had been working on all day.
“Oh…ohh, I thought you were on…actually never mind, Happy Anniversary Ames.”  He sat up laughing at the mess he’d got himself into.
A/N -
Thanks to everyone that read this, I’m very sorry for how poorly written it is! I’m super dyslexic so I find writing kinda difficult, fun but difficult.

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey - Scene 46
Finally here, the last scene of the Snowflake story. Was it any good? Did everyone like it? I hope so.
I started it off with such high aspirations and wanted to try and practice better with story structure, but I worry my need to world build and plot out mysteries to follow may have backfired. But everyone can let me know what you think after reading...
Tumblr media
To everyone’s surprise, Mote flew out from Draw’s coat and made a beeline for the red suit of armor. Or more accurately, red autogolem.
With the yellow fairy presenting itself before it, the autogolem stopped and looked at it with a red glowing eye from within a tiny head that resembled something like an eagle beaked snake.
“You…,” the autogolem spoke in a chill, metallic voice.
“Mote!” Draw shouted after the fairy and the autogolem looked up at the group arriving at the giant crystal rose.
“Or perhaps I am mistaken. This group seems unlikely to be one I would affiliate with you.”
Rising to its full height, achieved by standing on the toes of its long, curved feet like appendages, the autogolem towered over Rosy and her friends at a meter and half in height. It appeared massively taller than it was though due to the tininess of its head. From each of its minute shoulder pads, an oar head-like piece of metal rose well past it head and furthered the autogolem’s illusion of height.
“A Ring Mage, and a Yoluku Device. Truly you would not keep such company. Unless things have changed during my slumber.”
Looking down at the fairy that glared up at it, the autogolem silently pondered its situation. Then it spoke two words that surprised Soinc. “Time Break.”
Before anyone could react, the autogolem stood before Sonic, a saber in its right hand leveled under Sonic’s chin. Yet it was Sonic who spoke first, and with no sign of concern.
    “Now that’s a nifty little trick I haven’t seen in a while.”
“Then you are familiar with the arts.”
“Maybe a little,” Sonic confirmed, lifting his hand, and just barely not touching his pointer finger and thumb together in demonstration. But his playfulness did not linger, and a more serious demeanor settled on him. “Though I’m not fond of having a sword leveled at me either. Looking at you, I’d guess it normally isn’t your style.”
So close now, it was easy to make out the clockwork workings beneath the autogolem’s delicate exterior. It reminded Sonic of something he’d seen once, and he smirked as he sought to confirm his guess.
“You’re a knight, right? Like that Claymore the Purple guy? Last time I checked, knights don’t level their swords at the unarmed.”
“Then Claymore is also woken. And you know him, mage?”
“No. And I’m no mage. The name’s Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.”
“I see. I am Saber. Saber the Red. A Sword Knight. My apologies, Sonic the       Hedgehog, but I have reasons of my own to be wary, woken from my sleep as I am.”
Turning away from the group, Saber sheathed his sword into one of his shoulder pads, revealing the nature of their design. With the threat seemingly past, the group started to talk among each other. Except for Rosy who stepped after the autogolem.
“Hey! What’s the big idea pointing a sword at Sonic!”
“A medium, and marked by Yoluku,” Saber remarked and looked back over his shoulder. Rosy noticed he avoided direct eye contact, but she let him talk as she puffed up her cheeks. “Curious. What is it that Yoluku is playing at now?”
“So, you know what Yolk is?” Rosy asked, her mispronunciation getting the autogolem to turn around.
“You have been made Yoluku’s medium and cannot even…,” The limit of the autogolem’s range of emotions was yet unclear, but it trailed off and began to make a sound very much like laughter. “Hmhmhmhmhm…”
    “Hey! Don’t laugh at me!”
“Let it go kid,” Sonic interrupted Rosy and put an arm between her and the autogolem. “We got what we came for and Mighty is looking pretty tired lugging that radio around everywhere.”
    “It’s really nothing at all–”
“Play along would you Mighty,” Sonic held a hand up and whispered back at Mighty.
“There is little reason to hide your intentions, mage,” Saber responded to Sonic’s attempts to cease engaging the autogolem. Seemingly unbothered and perhaps even amused, he resumed walking away from the group. “All of you, even the medium, are ignorant to what is going on. It is an amusing game that Yoluku plays at.
“But I must know, medium,” Saber, paused and shifted his attention back to Rosy. “Inept as you appear–”
    “Hey!”
“–Yoluku must have sent you for a reason. I would request you tell me.”
“I don’t know. The cards weren’t clear, and it made you sound like a gift or something. I wasn’t expecting another talking golem.”
“Another,” Saber asked eying the group suspiciously. “Curious that you did not mention Claymore. But I have little time if Yoluku has called for me. If we are to continue this exchange of knowledge, it is best we meet away from the hollows of this fading snowflake.”
Advancing on the crystal rose that he had been stationary at before, Saber again drew his sword, and with a single motion split the massive rose in two.
“What are you doing!” Rosy shouted out in surprise, but any answers forth coming were cut off by a sudden sneeze from Sonic.
Rubbing his nose, Sonic made to run. “Time to go everyone!”
~I wasn’t expecting to suddenly have to leave. It’s a good thing everyone else could keep up. There wasn’t much reason for it that we could come up with for why everyone was possessed of speed matching Sonic’s, well except for Draw who had made a Ring Bond with Mote. But even the autogolem, Saber, seemed to have Sonic’s speed, or maybe was even faster.
~I’m sure Sonic would disagree. But, as the entire floating city began to collapse after Saber destroyed the crystal rose and we made it back to Blister’s airship, he was already waiting for us.~
“So, it was by airship that you arrived. Curious, considering you are with a Ring Mage.”
“I’d really appreciate it if you got off my ship,” Blister insisted. “I can’t even use my own autogolems with this golem hunter here.”
Looking at Draw, Blister gave him an exasperated look and irritated the koala. Rosy gave Saber reason to pay attention to her however and asked him a question while the mouse and koala argued.
“I don’t know how you got here ahead of us, but I’m glad you did so I can ask you what’s going on and why you destroyed that crystal rose? Is the whole city going to fall apart? What about the seed people?””
“I figured a naïve medium such as yourself still had questions for me, but it was best to speak under Yoluku’s gaze.”
“I don’t care about that creepy little planet up there, unless this Gear Star Ring in my eye is because of it!”
“You fail to pronounce Yoluku and come up with your own names for the Yoluku Device. I am amused. But the Ring Mage with you surely must know the nature of the Yoluku Device.”
“I already told you, I’m not a mage,” Sonic interjected on his own behalf. “But if you know something…”
“It is best to let you play Yoluku’s game,” Saber laughed and leapt up with a burst of fire well above the ship. With a spin the autogolem’s arms transformed into a pair of wings and it flew off into the distant stormy clouds through which Yoluku watched them all.
~I don’t know what I expected when we went to that weird city in the sky. We were just looking for a Ring Radio for Blister, and maybe so we could get a better connection with Tails. I never expected to find Gill and Mighty. Or to see those weird seed people ghosts. And that knight, he was as weird as the city was creepy. And we didn’t even really talk. He woke up and left. Well, not without breaking what I think was holding the city together.
~As Blister’s ship pulled away into the clouds itself, the whole city crumbled away into dust. It was like a melting snowflake, just like Saber said it was, and only the Ring Radio we came seeking remained to prove we had this little adventure. And maybe that weird knight autogolem, wherever he flew off to.
~Just who were you? It would have been nice and so much less anticlimactic if we could have talked more…~
-|-
In the city of Tower Point, Claymore the Purple stood watching Yoluku in the sky above the observatories that tipped a great deal of the towers from which the city earned its name. His arms were crossed, but he was sure he saw it, even as the red lightning bolt crack that arced across the sky from horizon to horizon surely obscured it.
“So, you’ve woken then as well, traitor,” Claymore spoke to the sky at large. “Then perhaps it is time I seek out the rest of the order. Ho! It will be good to see them all after so long. Perhaps I can even find them all before the banquet.
“No matter. As before, we will win Yoluku’s game and not let the seal fall.”
Scene 46 · CLEARED Snowflake, End
-----
So, that’s a wrap on Snowflake. It was a mystery at the start, and a lost mystery at the end. there were perhaps answers to everyone’s questions within, but new and seeming traitor of a Sword Knight, Saber the Red flew away. I wonder if this story really reached a climax, or if it just feels like the next stepping stone in the Journey. Regardless, as long as everyone enjoyed and is looking forward to what comes next, I’ll be happy! Thank you everyone!

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey: Scene 35
Welcome to the second half of the series’ first 2-parter. A shame I don’t really have anything very witty to open with for this one. Perhaps it’s because I find it a pretty light scene🤔 Regardless, I’ll let you decide for yourself after you read...
Tumblr media
Draw was a talented child all things considered. Though a child far from adulthood, he lived his life as a golem hunter and was generally successful. With the speed granted to him by Mote, it was likely he could best any number of golems and easily live a life dedicated to his occupation. However, his reliance on bow and arrow meant he was limited in how much damage he could do to a large number of golems in a short amount of time. If he were by himself this would be far from a problem as he was quite adept at making his own arrows, and they were frequently reusable. The only problem was retrieving them. A simple task with Sonic like speed, but it meant in this case leaving Rosy’s side.
“Get away from her you stone dummies!”
Trying his best to shoo away any golems that floated up over the ravine with his bow, Draw was pushed to his limits trying to collect his arrows. Challenging his efforts was an army of golems that covered the ruins and mountainside. The most troublesome however were the ones that drifted through the air, stone eyes that could fire beams of light at Draw more easily than he could return fire.
“Why did you have to get sick now of all times, you weirdo girl!” Draw cried out in anguish as he gave up trying to do too much at once. Picking Rosy up as best as he could, he ran for all he was worth. “You’re way to heavy!”
Had Rosy heard the complaint, she might have had a choice comment or two for the struggling koala, but her mind was far from her surroundings. The fevered sleep that held her fast from consciousness assured she would remain oblivious. Though it perhaps heightened other senses as her fever dreams provided her a unique opportunity, she was not quite sure how to handle.
~I’ve dabbled in so many different types of fortune telling because of how fun it is, but reading dreams is always kind of tricky. When people tell me about their dreams there’s always something missing to complete the picture. It’s not their fault of course, it’s hard to remember your dreams. It’s why reading my own are so hard too. Bu~t, hee-hee! Well, I’ve never had a dream like the one on these mountains.~
“Hello?” Rosy asked the rolling fog before her in hopes that someone might have hid within. It did not answer her naturally, but a soft blue glow within caught her attention and she walked towards it.
The fog swirled around Rosy as she walked, the blue glow seeming to stay just beyond her reach. “Maybe it’s moving away from me?”
Lifting her head from where she had tilted it so that her finger pressed into her cheek, Rosy upped her pace. As she still failed to catch up, she puffed her cheeks up in frustration and pushed herself even harder. Still the glow eluded her, and she closed her eyes for a moment to touch on that golden glow within her. That semi-tangible representation of her Ring Bond with Sonic.
Her intentions were to touch the source of her speed and bolt forward as fast as she possibly could, but as she opened her eyes, she instead had to dodge an attack.
    “Wah~!”
The entity that attacked her was no larger than Sonic, but it had massive arch forming arms and a trail of light for a body. Had the blue glowing entity possessed a green gem where its arms met Rosy would have presumed it a golem. It had the same shape as one, bar a lack of legs making it resemble an anchor more than a biped.
“What’s your problem!” Rosy asked it as she jumped back from another attack. A crackling of electricity behind her warned her of another attack from behind and she dove out of the way.
“I didn’t do anything! No reason to be so mean!”
Her frustrations served to redouble her efforts, and after rising to a three-point runner’s stance, Rosy shot forward for all she was worth. Her rapid acceleration created a vacuum in her wake and the fog was pulled into the space behind her.
    “Woah! It’s beautiful!”
There was little time to marvel as more of the glowing anchor golems moved to intercept her, but with the fog behind her Rosy could plan a path forward. The shadowy mountain landscape seemed unreachable though, save the aroura-like road of light marked by columns of unending lightning. Covered in golems it was far from an idea choice, but Rosy could at least see herself making progress as she sped along the road.
Higher and higher she climbed, and Rosy soon realized the mountains were beneath her. “This is weird. Am I dreaming?”
A bolt of lightning tore through the heavens in the moment of her question and Rosy froze in place as she felt her life was clearly in danger.
“Maybe this isn’t a dream… But I was with Sonic, Draw, and Mote. They’re not here, so this has to be–”
“Come on big guy! Is that all you’ve got!”
Sonic’s voice cut Rosy off and she turned to call out to him from wherever it was he was running.
    “Sonic!”
Her voice was cheerful, but Rosy’s smile soon fell as she could not see Sonic anywhere.
“Sonic?” Rosy questioned her surroundings and studied the darkness for any signs of Sonic. “Where are you!”
Starting to run again, Rosy tried to wipe away the shadows and reach out to Sonic. As she feared though, the darkness was impenetrable, by herself at least.
    “Yeek!”
A bolt of lightning descended from the shimmering blue aurora above her and for a moment she saw Sonic and the ruins he traversed. The motes of golden light that marked where Rings had been, and Sonic’s own transparency marked his signature Light Speed Dash, and she knew she missed actually seeing him. Before she could determine where he went however, the darkness flooded back in.
“Hey! Don’t come back now! Sonic!”
Turning to and fro, Rosy sought out any signs of him in the darkness but none could be found. “Come on! I just want to see Sonic!”
Turning pleading eyes to the aurora above, Rosy’s silent prayer allowed her to see the shimmering figure of blue light that towered over the mountains. Instinctually she raised her hands to protect herself. She was not the skeletal giant’s target however and the next bolt of lightning it cast down from the aurora again illuminated Sonic.
As it turned out, Sonic was not faster than light and he was tossed through the air by the impact of the lightning bolt. He was left unharmed for the most part however as the Rings he carried scattered about having absorbed the damage meant for Sonic.
“Sonic!” Rosy yelled out and covered her mouth. But the darkness took him from view again and he was nowhere to be seen. Upon the aurora road it was only her, the golems that still floated up in pursuit of her, and the towering skeletal figure of light. As that was who summoned the lightning…
    “Hey! Leave Sonic alone!”
With courage she always had to protect her friends, Rosy wasted no more time and sprinted full speed towards the towering entity. “You better not hurt him! I won’t forgive you if you do!”
“The medium?” the entity asked and surprised Rosy as it turned to look down at her with eyes so much bluer and brighter than its body of light. Intense as they were, they did not obscure the wonder of the crystal rose held within the gyroscopic, clockwork device in its chest. “So weak a medium, yet you would manage to see me from your slumber, and with no catalyst.”
“I don’t care about any of that!” Rosy yelled at the entity. “Just leave Sonic alone! You better to! I really won’t forgive you if you hurt him!”
Rosy’s shouting and arm flailing seemed to not reach the attention of the entity. Instead, it held a hand to the device in its chest and turned its gaze towards the heavens higher than it.
“Or perhaps this is your doing, Yoluku.”
“Yo-loo-coo?” Rosy tried to pronounce the odd name and came to a stop, her eyes tracing up the entity and towards the highest heavens. There, as though hung like a jewel from the perpetual red bolt of lightning that arced from horizon to horizon, the little planet that always watched her hung in the sky fixated on her.
~Even in my dreams I can’t escape that dreadful little planet. It’s why I haven’t been sleeping. I just can’t with it always watching me. It’s so creepy! I wouldn’t even want Sonic looking at me like that. Tee-hee~♥ Though I wouldn’t mind if Sonic looked at me all the time! Though I probably couldn’t sleep then either.
~But this dream was maybe more special than I realized at first. It wasn’t just weird, it actually had a name for that little planet. It’s kind of hard to say though, so I’ll just call it Yolk for now! Maybe I’ll practice saying it properly, but… Hee-hee! It still creeps me out. But with a name, I’m sure once Sonic and I catch up with Tails or Zooey that we’ll be able to look it up and learn all about it! Even then, just knowing it has a name means I can tell it to let me sleep!~
Scene 35 · CLEARED Sonic & Rosy, to be continued
-----
And there we go, Rosy has learned the name of the planet in the sky and has decided to just call it Yolk XD. She’s so mature XD. Perhaps this scene was a little more than light, but I guess action scenes are kind of like that. I just hope it was enjoyable and that everyone will look forward to next time! Thank you!

New Year’s Eve
Hey guys! Sorry I was late, there was a power outage in my town, and it just got resolved, so sorry for the inconveniences, and let’s get on with the started!
Anyways, I thought of this picture https://www.pinterest.com/pin/784752303809615363/ when I was given the prompt by @blogkittylove and I got really excited by this prompt, so thank you!
Amy and her friends, Rouge the Bat, and Lyra the Hedgehog just left a store called Forever 21. Amy, an 18 year old hedgehog with quills just past her waist, was a bit nervous about her outfit. Rouge and Lyra decided to choose, because Amy would’ve just chose something conservative.
“Guys, are you sure about this?” Amy asked, wondering if this was a good idea.
“Hun, trust me, this dress is gonna make Sonic fall head-over-heels for you!” Rouge said, trying to reassure Amy. Amy wasn’t so sure about that.
“Don’t worry, Rosy! I had him take a test, seeing what kind of dress he would find attractive on you, and this is exactly what he’d like!” Lyra exclaimed. Lyra was Sonic’s little sister, with long turquoise quills with royal blue tips. She had emerald eyes just like Sonic.
“If you say so,” Amy stared at the bag. She had a feeling this might just work. It wasn’t like the dress was...inappropriate. “I’ll do it!” Amy smiled confidently.  Now we just have to make sure the special blue hedgie on her mind would be there.
~Time Skip to Amy’s house~
Amy put on her dress. It was a light muave color, and a reddish-orange skirt. Amy put on some mascara, along with eye-shadow that matched the top of her dress. She heard a knock at the door, knowing the guests have arrived. She smoothed down her skirt, and adjusted her quills, and answered the door.
“Hi, Amy!” said Cream, a darling tan rabbit with chocolate tips. She came in, along with her crush, Tails. Knuckles was there too, wearing a party hat with Rouge holding his hand. Lyra came as well, arm-in-arm with Shadow.
“I convinced him to come.” Lyra then pinched his cheeks, and Shadow shooted a nasty glare towards Lyra. Lyra wasn’t scared the least bit. She ran over to the food, along with Tails and Knuckles, devouring everything in their sight.
“Hi there, Rascal.” Amy turned to see...
Silver! And with Blaze!
“Sterling!” Amy yelled, and jumped onto him. Silver was like Amy’s big brother along with Shadow.
Amy gave both of them a hug, being gentle with Blaze. She led them inside, until Silver asked:
“Is that outfit for a specific blue speedster?” Amy turned red, and slowly nodded. “Well, if he ever breaks your heart, we’ll all turn against him.” Amy laughed, finally feeling happy again. The door knocked, and Amy ran over to find her hero.
  “Hi, Sonic!”
“Hey Ames, hope I’m not lat-” Sonic stopped what he was about say once he saw Amy. She was wearing quite a revealing dress. “Um...Amy don’t you think that dress is a bit too...showy?” Sonic asked, his protective side getting the best of him.
“Oh, it’s not that revealing, Big Blue.” Rouge, who saw the lovehogs talking, had to defend Amy. “Besides, it’s about time she finds a man who actually gives her attention.” Rouge exaggerated the word ‘actually’ to reference to all of the times he had run off on her. Sonic just glared at Rouge, thinking of a clever comeback to shut her up.
“Why don’t we play a party game, huh?” Amy yelled, hoping everyone would here her. She heard some yes’s and some sure’s, so she asked what everyone wants to play. They all decided on charades.
“Ok, I’ll go first.” she looked at the little strip of paper. She started to act as she were mad, frowning deeply at everyone. She then pretended to throw something, as if throwing a football. She then put her hand out as if she were holding something, and lowered as if she were trying to apparate.
“Wait, I know this! Uhhh, me?” Silver asked. Amy shook her head. She then acted as if she were crying in front of a gravestone, then acted mad again.
“Rose, I swear to Chaos, if this is me...” Amy pointed her finger out in excitement, showing that Shadow got it right. Shadow was next, and he took a strip of paper from a bowl. He threw it aside, and acted as if he were holding something that could stand, then he looked down at his dress, and struck a pose that seemed awfully familiar. Everyone started laughing. He then went over and hit Sonic on the head, pointed to both Sonic and Amy. He made a heart with his hands, and made kissing noises.
“...Lyra?” Sonic guessed, knowing his sister’s hardcore obsession with getting the two together. Shadow nodded. He proceeded back to his spot, with Lyra giving him a hug.
“Hey guys, there are only five minutes left till the final countdown!” Tails exclaimed, raising the volume of the t.v.
“This is it, Amy. In a few minutes, all of your wildest dreams come true.” Rouge whispered in her ear. Amy got up and grabbed a glass of champagne, and walked back.
Okay, everyone. It’s almost the New Year, so let’s share our resolutions! Starting with Knuckles.” She gestured to Knuckles, since he was sitting on the end of the couch. They all shared their resolutions, until it got to Amy. With the clock at 50 seconds.
“Well, for my New Year’s resolution, I want to be stronger than I was this year. I want myself to feel happier. And last of all, I want the man of my dreams to be mine.” she ran over to Sonic, and kissed him as the everyone said ‘Happy New Years! Sonic could feel true love in that kiss, along with compassion, concern, fear, comfort, and lust. He took a few moments to realize what was happening. The girl he fell in love with 10 years ago was finally kissing him. He kissed her back, his arms falling to her waist, while one of her arms went up to his neck.
Well that was a New Year's Eve kiss you won't forget anytime soon.~
That was so EXCITING. Again, I’m very sorry for not posting earlier, the damn WiFi just had to go wrong on such an exciting day. Well, if you liked that, please give me more prompts, and have a fantastic day/night!

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey - Scene 42
With character mindsets out of the way, it’s time to set the stage. Well, Blister’s mindset still needs to be set, but right now they have arrived at the peculiar city in the sky. What will they find there? Well, find out for yourself in...
Tumblr media
“Really, a creepy place like this would do a lot better with some ghosts,” Rosy teased as she jumped from Blister’s ship to the stretch of concrete and asphalt that they docked at, “then we could make a test of courage out of it!”
“I’d rather not have more ghosts after the last time we met some,” Draw tried as per usual to put a damper on Rosy’s enthusiasm as he walked down the gangplank with Sonic and Blister. For his efforts Rosy stuck her tongue out at him.
“You’re being no fun today,” Rosy teased her koala companion and he rolled his eyes.
    “Whatever, you weirdo girl.”
    “It’s Rosy!”
There was a comfort that Rosy found in the exchange with Draw and she smiled brightly even in the dreary place. Sonic and Blister were both being more careful than Rosy was though.
“Be careful while having fun,” Blister warned as she tested the weight of her backpack. “My instruments were acting weird as we approached. I couldn’t rely on them to dock at all.”
“You were able to dock an airship on your own? That’s amazing!”
“Well, I don’t really have any choice with a golem hunter on board,” Blister gave Draw a weary glance. “It’s not like I can use my autogolems if they just get broken for coming out.”
“So, the Engineers do use autogolems too,” Rosy acknowledged thoughtfully, before switching gears and spinning over to place her hands on Draw’s shoulders. He gave her a look, but Rosy continued unbothered. “But I’m sure Draw wouldn’t break yours. Well, as long as they aren’t powered by fairies.”
“Everything the Engineers make are powered by Rings or steam, so no exploiting any mythical creatures,” Blister assured Rosy, Draw, and the fairy in the group, Mote. “Besides, the way Preserver autogolems work is a total mystery. It doesn’t make sense how the energy of a living thing is converted into a kinetic energy.”
“Sounds like the type of guys Eggman would get along with,” Sonic finally added his voice to conversation as he strolled off the gangplank and looked around.
Rosy noticed Sonic was rubbing the underside of his nose with his pointer finger and wondered if he was sensing danger. She couldn’t leave him worried though and risked getting teased herself to lighten his mood. “Oh~, forget that mean old man. I’ve gotten over being embarrassed by you talking like that about us and want to hear more! Come on Sonic, say something romantic~♥”
“Keep dreaming, kid,” Sonic winked at Rosy and made her puff up her cheeks as she knew exactly what he meant.
“Ooh~! Why couldn’t you play along nicely this time now that I’m ready for you!”
“Instead of play, perhaps we could get to work looking for a Ring Radio for my ship,” Blister suggested, walking away from her vessel. Sonic eyed her curiously and took up pace beside her.
“I’m all for getting this over with, but I thought we were supposed to do the dangerous stuff while you stayed back on the ship?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t slow you down.” Blister smiled at Sonic confidently. Her confidence did not last however as she lifted her left hand up and stared at it as she flexed the flat fingers of her clockwork arm. “Though I haven’t gone for a run myself since before I lost my arm. I hope I’m not too rusty.”
“You don’t mean to say you can keep up with us, do you? Sonic asked having a hard time believing it. “There aren’t too many who can, and even out of those with my speed few who can match my pace.”
“Just check your radio for a signal and I’m sure we’ll be fine. I think I might actually be excited for the first time in a while. A shame it’ll be best to split you flowers up for this little trip.”
“Flowers?” Sonic asked while checking his wrist device. The detected signal on the device told Sonic all he needed to know, and he was distracted from his question. “Well, sure enough there is a signal here. And not one we recognize.”
“I wonder if there’s anyone using it?” Rosy pressed her finger to her cheek and mused a moment. That moment was short lived and quickly followed up with her deciding to check as she worked her wrist device and cheerily called into it. “Hello~! Is there anyone home!”
“You’re going to get us killed, you weirdo girl!” Draw snapped at Rosy.
“Don’t say that!” Rosy chided him, but as her energy was spilt between her wrist device and him, she wasn’t overbearing. The lack of a response from her device though made her puff up her cheeks. “Phooey! I guess no one lives here either.”
“Gotta admit, it’d be kind of hard too.”
~Sonic wasn’t wrong. For the first time since I had been exploring the lands under Yolk, there were no plants growing over everything. They had been at one point in time, but they had all withered and died, only a thick layer of yellowed leaves that lined the streets and building floors showing they had once lived. It was kind of creepy in a different way than the rest of the weird little city as well since leaves don’t usually last like this. They crumbled easily enough to the touch, but the wind left in our wakes as we ran through the twisted city streets didn’t seem to hurt them and they simply would settle back down were they had last been.
~The leaves weren’t the only creepy thing. Yolk seemed even bigger from the city than Blister’s airship, and no matter where I ran it seemed to watch me from behind the clouds just above the horizon. And the storm clouds didn’t bring rain and thunder, but rather a snow of ash. I’m starting to think this place might be cursed. At the very least, it’s weird and unnatural.
~How unnatural? I wanted to check the size of the city when we first set out, so I ran a lap all the way around it with Draw clinging to my back and the location of the horizon never changed. And I came back around from what should have been the city’s underside. It’s not right here. It really isn’t.~
“What now,” Draw asked as Rosy stopped atop a skyscraper that tilted a full thirty degrees off its axis.
Watching the storm clouds and the ash that fell silently from them, Rosy puffed up her cheeks and exhaled sharply from her nose. “This place is way to dreary to be any fun. So how about we see if we can’t find any beneath the surface. Does that sound good, Sonic?”
-Just keep your radio channel open,- Sonic’s voice came across Rosy’s wrist device. -This place is a lot larger than it looks. Like several places are trying to fit in one spot and not pulling it off.-
-I’ve also seen signs of golem activity,- Blister’s voice came across after Sonic’s. -Probably more than enough for our little hunter to earn his keep.-
“Don’t talk like that about me!” Draw complained from Rosy’s back. “I’m not a kid!”
-Yet you were clinging to Ms. Rose’s back when we agreed to split up…-
“That’s because it’s the easiest way to not lose her.”
“I’m not that bad,” Rosy laughed, but she smiled brighter as she looked down at the decayed city that awaited her challenge. “But at least it sounds like this adventure is going to be exciting!”
Scene 42 · CLEARED Snowflake, to be continued
-----
On the shorter side, but now the exposition is done and it’s time to start elevating the series of events. A Ring Radio is here, and it’s on, but why? And Golems here as well. Mysteries, mysteries. If I do this right, this set of “episodes” will be some of my most important at this stage of the story yet. I hope everyone is as excited for them as I am!

Sonic Ring Bond: The Journey - Scene 18
And here we are with Scene 18 arriving. And if you didn’t guess already who came back last scene, this scene will reveal who it is. I wonder how everyone will react. But enough of me babbling, let’s keep this short today and get everyone strait into...
Tumblr media
Scene Prompt: Rosy finds a flower-shaped (rose maybe) crystal ball.
-----
From outside the ruins were unremarkable buried in the dessert crags and growing sandstorm. Within as the travelers and sightseers were led in through a dark unmarked corridor, Rosy was afforded time to be amused before the ruin revealed itself.
~It’s kind of funny really. I came out because of a rumor I heard, yet it just seems like people were confused. If no one had really been out here that much they wouldn’t have tour guides. Still, it’s nice that I don’t have to watch out for traps, but it is a little less exciting not exploring an unknown ruin. Or at least it sure seemed like that was going to be the case.~
“Oh~ It’s a Ring Gate Beacon,” Rosy remarked, and was fortunate her knowledge of Rings was not heard over the gasps of her fellow travelers.
~It was not what I was expecting at all. Though my amazement wasn’t because of the shifting ceiling of blocks. The blocks with the lines of light on them were a normal sight in a Ring Gate beacon and wasn’t really any different from the one on Zooey’s airship, the Skyskipper. Well, it was a lot bigger and had all sorts of side rooms. There also didn’t seem to be any control panels to make Ring Gates connect to other beacons. I guess that shouldn’t be surprising though since there are plants everywhere. Tee-hee! There are even trees growing in here so this place hasn’t been used since well before we could use them. Or at least back home. It’s hard to use a Ring Gate if you’re scared of it.
~Walking around the massive beacon though the rumors the other travelers were still talking about became easier to connect to the crystal rose. Ring Gate Beacon’s obviously are powered by Rings and that means Rings pass through them a lot. With all the trees and other plants growing inside it made sense that there would be Rings too. Lucky for everyone else I was here, and even though I’d get smacked the next time I visited a town with those mean priests I could at least try to make things easier on them. How? By collecting all the Rings of course!
~It seemed like a good idea, but I may not have thought it through, hee-hee… Everyone was already on edge, so seeing the Rings that should have been floating around not being there… Well, they didn’t see me at least, though something caught everyone’s attention all of a sudden.~
“You! What are you doing there!”
Within a chamber where the geometric lines that glowed on the ever-shifting blocks of the Ring Gate Beacon had reached the floor as well the walls, one of the tour guides shouted and brought Rosy’s little side endeavor to an end. The tour guide was not the only one to shout out in surprise, however.
    “Is it the Ring Striker?”
    “It couldn’t be, could it?”
“It could be, this place should be full of Rings, but it’s not. It’s the perfect place for them to attack.”
“Not this again,” Rosy sighed to herself with a shrug. The continued mention of the now tiring rumor of the Ring Striker was enough to almost make Rosy ignore the crowd of sightseers as they started shouting. But the shouting and mention of a person left her ears turned towards them and her curiosity piqued. “Rings aren’t dangerous, so I doubt this jerk is either.”
Pushing her way through the crowds and wearing an irritable look Rosy froze as she came into view of the mysterious entity who had caused a stir in the tour guides. They were slightly taller than someone who stood a meter tall, or at least measured to the shoulder where a massive cog served as the collar for a set of flowing purple robes. Rosy had seen that collar before as well as the massive bracelets around the individual’s wrists. The rod with the half cog head in one hand and a clear crystal rose in the other were new, but not the three quilled echidna head of perfectly smooth white stone. Rosy had seen it as well, a prisoner alone deep underground, but the glowing blue eyes that watched her from it now where lifeless then.
“It couldn’t be, not that statue. Then, it was another golem?”
Finally joining in the confusion of the crowd she accompanied, Rosy no longer stood out save her attire. Or so she would not have if she did not become the focus of the golem echidna as it turned its back to an altar of the shifting blocks of the beacon. Then, the golem spoke with a familiar voice.
“Ah, so like the other rabble you were drawn by the ‘treasure’ held here child.”
“That voice! You were with us in the truck! But… you’re a…”
“A golem,” the golem finished for Rosy. “That is correct. One woken from a long slumber by the power of a Red Star Ring. And one whom seeks his dear friend.”
“You’re nothing but a thief!” One of the tour guides cut in while pointing an accusatory finger at the golem’s hand that held the crystal rose.
“You are mistaken,” the golem corrected the tour guide. “It is the right of Pir’Oth to make use of this gem. Or perhaps in this time I have come to be known as Ix. Regardless, I and I alone have the right to walk this sacred ground. The trespasser and thieves who wander these halls are all of you!”
Twirling his staff, Ix slammed the unadorned end into the ground causing it to splinter and crack like a spiderweb. In response Rings burst forth as though cast from a fountain and flowers of golden light bloomed from the motes chasing them. Though he moved to attack, Ix again addressed Rosy, a momentary exception in his blue glowing eyes and the now glowing petals of the crystal rose.
“You though child spoken to by the gods, I shall take of you your bond to them and allow your soul to rest forgiven for your trespass.”
As the rings met the flowers of light no one was prepared for the golems that rose around them, tearing themselves from the stone floor that gave birth to them. There was little one could do to defend themselves as their arrival stole any stable footing away. And yet despite the terror and panic, someone still shouted out in further horror.
    “It’s the Ring Striker!”
Lunging towards Rosy, Ix held a ring suspended before the head of his staff. His intentions were unknown to all, but Rosy simply puffed up her cheeks and balled up her hands into fists. “You’re being a jerk!”
Ix’s glowing eyes widened as Rosy suddenly disappeared from before him. Skidding to a stop to not waste the ring, he looked about to spot where the pink hedgehog girl could have vanished.
“It could not have been a Ring Gate; the beacon would have responded?” The sound of crumbling stone around him alerted Ix to what he sought, and his stone eyes continued to widen in disbelief. “Impossible!”
The flowers that powered the golems returned as the sparkling seeds of light released from their destruction touched the ground. Standing up from their stony remains, Rosy looked back at Ix and puffed up her cheeks further and redder. “I thought you said you weren’t a bad guy!”
“How?” Ix asked in shock, Rosy’s question lost on him. “I thought you but a simple child with the favor of the gods.”
“Because Sonic shared with me the ability to be a hero,” Rosy answered trembling. Whether she was angry, terrified, or perhaps both, it was obvious that her emotions fueled her trembling. The sight was anything but heroic regardless, which in itself spoke of her courage to act. Ix however was less concerned for Rosy’s heroics as he was her words.
“Do you speak of the sacred Ring Bond?”
“What? You know about Ring Bonds! But how? Sonic is the only person–!”
A terrible realization dawned on Rosy and obvious horror weighed down her features. Ix spoke again though before she could form her realization into words.
“Only him? Then Ring Craft is truly lost in this age. What has become of this world during my slumber? I must find out.”
“I won’t let you if it means attacking people. You can’t do that, it’s wrong!”
“What is wrong child is the state of this world, and that I could not best a child. Yet surely you are not the adversary your cards spoke of.
“Consider yourself fortunate child,” Ix proclaimed as he fiercely strode away from the short-lived battle. “You have saved the lives of these trespassers this day. But know I will challenge you. I must if I am to restore this world to its rightful state. And I will surely still need use of your connection to the gods. We will meet again, and I will lay claim to all that I require.”
Twirling his staff once more, Ix again struck the ground, a cascade of Rings erupting from the vein of spiderweb like cracks that tore through it. With a wave of his staff he gathered the Rings up into a single point and with a flash of light they merged into a giant one through which he could travel. As the giant Ring spun the geometric lines of the stone cubes shifted from a blue hue to one of orange as they interacted with the Ring Gate and set a destination for it. Before stepping through however, Ix gave Rosy one last warning.
“Remember child, you have not my permission to die or fall ill until I have brought you humiliation and defeat. Have claimed your bond with the gods for myself and have shown you the defeat of my adversary and the restoration of this world to its former glory.”
~With a flash of light and the shimmering golden motes left behind every Ring when they disappear, Ix vanished, his scary words lingering with me as I departed the ruins on my own. I didn’t really save the day and using Sonic’s speed always upsets people, so it was better that I left on my own. That, and I really want nothing more but to run really far away right now. He knew about Ring Bonds. He could make them himself and suddenly the rumors of the Ring Striker made sense. He was forcing Ring Bonds onto people so he could learn of the world. And now he wanted one with me…~
Scene 18 · CLEARED Desert Rumors, End
-----
And I wonder if it was a surprise to see him here. Obviously it isn’t, but more me just using the appearance as I love it and would love to include it in some way. Fortunately, I have my golems and they were a perfect fit as I can avoid the unrobed appearance which I dislike as well. But there is more story to this golem  and everything involving the secrets of the world of The Journey. I plan on taking my time and enjoying the stories namesake though, and I hoe everyone else will as well. Thank you everyone and I’ll see you next episode!
