Miles x Gwen : I only see it as one-sided, Miles obviously has a crush but I only see best friends feelings from Gwen, the parrallel of losing her previous best friends and making a new one is obvious to me. Miles will have to move on

Applejack X Rarity : I never shipped them and it's not because the latest seasons left it ambiguous that I'll start shipping it. They left it ambiguous precisely so people would be free not to ship, and so I won't. Plus I ship them with other people, Appledash (WOO THEY LIVE TOGETHER IN THE END even if it means nothing, Discord and Fluttershy live together and it is left ambiguous and I hate that ship and see them as just best friends living together, Discord is toxic, annoying, overpossessive and I don't even understand how I used to like him or ship him wirh anyone, Fluttershy deserves SO much better) and Sparity (WHEN HE WOULD BE AN ADULT OF COURSE yes I know it is popular to shit on that ship and call it "grooming and creepy" but omfg meeting again as 2 adults after losing track of each other and now they meet again and can fall for each other as adults is a good scenario, it can happen and it doesn't make Rarity creepy, it does happen) forever

Evolution of my oc part 3

and there you have it. this is more or less the full evolution of my oc. as you can probably tell shes gone through a couple stages as i've gone through life and theres definitely some versions of her missing one in particular where she had completely red hair but i chose to leave it out because it was around for such a very short period of my life and i really dont have that many references of that one or other inbetween designs. right now shes at a point where i'm still trying to figure out her colours a bit as well as trying to do about that other wing but it'll all come together one day probably. let's talk about what's happened to her from beginning to end. so originally when i first started drawing this was just me a kid drawing fanart for a show that i kind of liked at the time. i drew a pony that wasnt really meant to BE me but sort of resembled me to a degree with the length of her hair and such at that time. this design was very simple displaying this completely white pony with hair that faded from white into black/grey toward the ends. one day someone looked over my shoulder and commented that the pony's hair was too long because my hair was cut short by this point. this of course wasnt something i'd ever even considered as at the time i wasnt that connected to this oc. but it did stick with me. before long the oc went from having long mostly straight hair with little curls on the ends (see part 2) to having a short cut bob. i also started drawing her with a blank face and downturned ears. by the time i looked further into doing more with her design i added just a tiny bit of black splotches to her hoofs. originally it was actually a fade on her hoofs just so her design wasnt so boring to look at but i guess i felt that the fade looked a bit too boring and i thought "hey doing these splotches sort of looks like her legs were dipped in paint or something" so that's what i did because now i was starting to think of my own traits in this pony, freckles - black spots on her face. drawing/painting - splotches on her legs. sad - ears turned down. all that sort of stuff.  as my hair grew long again i actually didnt change her hair at first... i wanted to but i was kind of worried at this point that someone was gonna say it didnt look like me or that someone was gonna see me drawing ponies in general so i actually almost completely stopped drawing all together. i tried really hard for a while to draw humans or anime to sort of appear less weird i suppose but i wasnt very good at it and that made me really unmotivated at the time so i just slowely stopped and stopped posting my art too even pulling away from my art friends at the time. when i started trying to draw again i'd always start out by drawing humans because i guess again i felt that was the least weird to draw. but i was never very good at it and it just sort of kept knocking me down into the dumps but during this attempt i did actually update my oc to what was my style at this time. coloured red hair, curled on the ends long. i'd grown up to have more freckles and also started getting pimples all over by this point so i decided to make the black splotching have a bigger part of her design beginning to bring it further up her legs and such. later on i realised this black was interestingly sort of slowly growing on her sort of like it was taking over her body or something and that's when the bat wing actually came into play officially. i wanted to turn her into a bat pony but i wasnt very good at drawing the mlp batwings so i decided to just do one for now or maybe only partially which turned into the wing slowly losing feathers and turning into a bat wing instead. i was pretty on and off with posting at this point due to burning out over and over not really enjoying art but also wanting to do nothing other than drawing. everytime i'd come back id pretty much update her hairstyle and call it a day because that was the only thing that changed about me for a while.  that's when i dropped drawing fully for maybe 2 or three years. i'd given up on not just the oc but art in general. i'm still sort of struggling with art in a sense it's been really hard for me but at the same time theres nothing i wanna do more than just draw. i'm sure theres people out there that feel the same about things in their life whether it be cooking or loved ones, hobbies or actual work. this year i've been watching so many art videos that just keep coming up on my youtube or youtube shorts and honestly it made me really sad not to be doing that too. drawing and just having fun with it. in spring i picked up an almost full old sketchbook and took off to the library with a pen and some water. i sat down and i just drew something. i dont remember what i drew if i'm being honest... it might've have ironically enough been a human XD but i did it. a couple days later i did it again i grabbed my stuff, went to the library and sat down drawing. i did that a few times before i started drawing at home too. i was only drawing on paper at this time and i didnt really know what it was about it i was just kind of having fun. i went on a small trip to visit a long distance friend (one who actually also draws) during one of my days there we ended up sitting down and drawing together and i guess it sort of clicked in my head that hey this is actually starting to be fun for me again. when i came home a video showed up on my feed from a youtuber that i never really looked up to that much or cared about or anything but that i knew of to a degree and he said something that hit me. "Daidus - it's been a while" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snYjcrttkbg in this video Daidus talks about being burned out and what it did to him and his art process and such. very specifically he mentions how he started getting out of it again which was going back to traditional art which i'd like to think was essentially saved him. i realised as i watched this video that's what i was probably feeling and that without realising it going back to traditional art and purely focusing on traditional art without thinking about posting it or showing friends or anyone was what ended up letting me start liking it again. this lead to my oc's current design coming full circle as i completely removed the black from her design. i no longer had acne to be upset about my freckles have faded, no one was judging my art... there was no insecurities left for me to put on my oc... not really at least. so the black softened. it got brown, it was still sort of there but not in the same way. the black splotches that had come to represent my insecurities and infested my character, my mind had transformed. it was now a memory instead of a wound bleeding out of her. for those that have been here all along you'll also notice that where her legs used to be black shes actually white now, the black is behind her, behind me and there for on her back instead. visible to others but rarely seen by her/me unless i'm looking for it just like my imperfections. they're there but i can no longer see them clearly. so that's the journey of me and my oc. i've been wanting to take her to the human drawing world and i've drawn her as such a couple times... but honestly nothing has stuck.. i just dont know what to do with her as a human. i dont know why.. maybe my skills just are'nt there yet or maybe in some way i'm just not ready for it yet who knows. and so in this last part i decided to have the current design offer a hoof to an older design.  anyways... as always happy timezones people Commissions are Open links https://www.deviantart.com/blakefate https://www.tumblr.com/blakefate1356 https://www.patreon.com/BlakeFate https://ko-fi.com/steph90314 https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/31935735
