there's a rude annoying fat man with no friends and a deep sadness in his chest. but wait! he loves his family so much and he would do anything for them. he wants to make himself "worthy" of their love, if only because he knows how easily family can be ripped away. he messes up and gets mad and makes people cry. but he does his best to make it up to them by being better, by showing up. and eventually he makes the decision to swallow whatever angry pride he has and take the first step into a new life. because he would do anything for his family and he would do anything for his family and he would do anything for his family and all he needed to change was to learn that someone would care if he didn't.

He kind of stared me down for a bit like this but he didn't immediately run when he saw me so... progress? Hopefully I left enough to keep him well fed, I might drop by on a day off just to check
