Xexandaler’s PM: tTYD Saga chapter 2: Great Boggly Woods.

I decided to make this a series in case anybody cares. My note for this session are as follows;

Session One; New Friends, New Troubles.

1. Bugs are friends, not food.

2. Beldam is a jerk! And senile. Why she gotta do the youngest Vivian like that? Still cool that the trio each have their own element, but when I think of Electric I think quick and nimble… but then again Thunder hits heavy right? (No body shaming. Marlyn still whooped me hard with her timing.)

3. Is this Madame Flurrie supposed to be a Puff? I mean she seems like a cloud person especially on the bottom half, but is there a subspecies that looks more humanoid? Her powers are also wind based which just screams Cloud Person to me.

That’s all for this sesh. Gotta get to work. I’ll add more to here after my next session.

I love how in the Dracula Daily fandom, we don’t say that we are beginning once again on May 3rd.

#better drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #lan wangji #I was really looking forwards to this redraw - though the jump in skill isn't as dramatic as the last one I still am proud of my progress!#It's really incredible to look back on this last year and how much has happened since then.#Both in my personal life and this blog.#I started the second season while I was going through some pretty rough times and it truly kept my sanity afloat.#I challenged myself a lot more this year! And while it didn't always turn out the way I hoped-#-being messy and earnestly trying to do something different has been my favourite part of art.#There will always be a lot of room to grow - I don't think art and creativity has a ceiling.#I went from doubting that I was even an artist to joining a gamedev team as the lead artist! That's character growth!#Thank you all once again for joining me on this journey B*)#Thank you for all the messages and support you have sent my way these last 18 months.#I'm so happy to have been given the chance to create something for this community. Ramdel was raised by a small group of warriors and spies that lived in secrecy near the Seedscar, but was cast out due to his sickly nature. He wandered into Quarantine Zone #128 and well, you can see how that turned out for him...

Four swords adventure gang

This link has one of the bigger depatures from both sprite and game art, but i'll explain in the tags

#tloz #princess zelda #link #four swords adventures #art #my art #redesign #loz redesigns round 2 #this link and zelda went through so many changes i swear #but yeah when differentiating between the f-s and fsa sprites there arent many differences #zeldas sprite being slightly warmer and having a slightly different hairstyle #and losing the cape and just generally a bunch of details #meanwhile link just has slightly longer ears #so when debating what to do with link i decided this one would have a white tunic with a dark undershirt #being rgb additive and subtractive #i figured it made sense for it to fit this link as he had the longer adventure #so he has a more visible change from using the four sword more/for longer #whereas i just gave f-s link multicolored tinting to his tunic-vest #so f-s has the more traditional coloring but less traditional outfit #i figured it was a fair trade-off #and seeing as they have a longer/harder journey theyre also older than the f-s pair #which is also why i traded the bow in zeldas hair out for a crescent hair fork

Session One; Getting Distracted is Job One!

Okay, so next stop is this floating city named Glitzville. Is it like that final city place in Final Fantasy 7? Wait… this one is rocket powered?!? Dude I need to see that! Goombella pack your books! We’re going to Glitzville!

Um… how do I meet this Don Pianta bloke? I’ve run four circuits around this port and haven’t seen hide nore hair of any Pianta’s besides the guy in front of the casino.

Oh there’s a badge shop? Nifty! And they get more stock as I progress in the game I guess which is also cool. Heck, this mouse girl (which I’ve been informed that they are either called a Nomadimouse or a Lil’ Mouser) with a heart on her tail seems like a nice lady. Maybe I can bring her some fancy cheese from Glitzville. But for now I’m going to get some badges. It’s a Mario game. I can find coins just by squishing the roaches so why would I ne-

(Finds the person who is supposed to tell me how to meet the Don in a back alley)… B-but I burnt all my dosh on badges… I only have two coins left game! Why didn’t anybody tell me?!?

Apparently there’s this place called the ‘pit of 100 trials’ that a kid needs my help to save his father from. Easy peasy. I can take care of that after I get some of my Mysteries cooked by Zess T.

Ooo! I got a Zess T. Tea. And it heals 20 Flower Points! Oh I’m keeping this.

Alright time to save the dad! I’m sure he’ll just be on like floor 8 or something. He is a Toad after all. He can’t have gone that far down.

(Reaches floor 18 and finds the Toad dad and a Pokey) A. How did you get down so far against Dull Bones and Fuzzys? B. What was the plan for when you found a spiked enemy Mac? I’m the guy with the hammer not you. C. You better be worth the Zess T. Tea I spent getting to you…

Yay the kid is reunited with dad and now I can play a new game at the casino. I wonder what else is down here… know what? Speaking of Casino that kid by the Casino said that something scary was down the grate, let’s put a pin on giving the Robbos their dosh for now and see what’s going on.

Ooooo! A dark underbelly of a dank dark town. Groovy! I like this development.

Oh… good… the trampolines developed spikes… glorious.

Oh sweet there’s a fast travel point. I think it lets you travel once you put the star in the door? Maybe? I’ll have to test it when I get that glittery star from that glittery island.

That’s it for this session. Next time I’m going to go give that bloke in charge of the Robbos a piece if my mind and a chu k from my wallet.

Most of my art actually.#and then I took a break and redid the colors with sort of a red-yellow-blue forced focus which helped a lot #and also I decided that if you Believe in your silliness then it can be Meaningful Intertextuality.#the journey of creamthing. the journey of montjoy. creamthing as a pelican in its piety.#spent a Lot of time on heraldry wikipedia and then ancient archival scans of heraldry encyclopedias to try and get the description right #heraldic language is Hard and I still definitely didn't get it right but I Tried. and I like how it turned out :)
