WHY IZUKU BEING BORN QUIRKLESS IS A POINT FOR DAD FOR ONE:
Now, I'm not saying that I'm a die-hard DFO believer. I think that the theory is fun, and as a joke, I told my friend that if Izuku's father wasn't introduced by the end of the manga then DFO was officially canon by process of elimination. I'm just here to give my opinion about one of the main points people claim disproves DFO: Izuku being born quirkless. I would argue that Izuku being born quirkless, rather than having his quirk stolen as an infant, gives more credibility to the DFO theory.
For starters, when Izuku is told he in the first episode by the doctor (who is obviously AFO's doctor) that he's quirkless and is shown the x-ray of his foot, the doctor says a line (and I'm paraphrasing here) about how "it was virtually unheard of for a child born from two fourth-generation quirk users to be quirkless." The doctor could potentially be lying, but that is very unlikely. Even if he's evil, there's no reason for him to lie in that scenario: Quirks have been around for over a century by then, and lying about something that could be so easily disproven would be moronic.
So, with the belief that he was telling the truth, then it gives more insight into how quirks work. Quirks, in some way, shape, or form, are genetic. It's why quirk marriages were a thing. It's why Katsuki was the unbelievably lucky mix of both his parents' quirks, allowing him to make explosions. It's why Tsuyu's whole family looks froglike. Quirks aren't magically bestowed upon people like Celestia with visions: it's passed down genetically. Quirks are formed from a genetic mutation. This means that based on what the doctor said, quirks are a dominant allele.
To give a basic recap in biology: each gene has two alleles, one from each parent. Genes are what give you your appearance and more: whether your eyes are blue or brown. If you'll be blonde, brunette, or end up as a redhead. If you are more susceptible to different health problems like stroke or Alzheimer's. Alleles, on the other hand, can be either "dominant" or "recessive." "Dominant" alleles need only one parent to transfer it to the child for the trait to show up. "Recessive" alleles, on the other hand, require the allele from both parents to show up in the child. For example, curly hair is dominant over straight hair. If you use 'A' to describe the allele for curly hair and 'a' to describe the allele for straight hair, then it could be looked at as this:
AA= curly hair
Aa= curly hair (dominant allele present)
aa= straight hair (both recessive alleles present)
This means that quirks show up when through a dominant allele. The mention of "fourth-generation quirk users" implies that two quirked parents can give birth to a quirkless individual. That wouldn't be possible if quirks were a recessive allele. Therefore, if both of Izuku's parents were fourth-generation, then it is technically possible for Izuku's ancestors to have passed on the recessive quirklessness through the generations. And Izuku just happened to be the unlucky son of a gun who lost the genetic lottery.
But do you know what this means? It means that it doesn't disprove DFO in the slightest. In fact, having a parent who is a first-generation quirk user adds to the credibility. Canon shows that AFO was the first person who had a quirk. While Izuku is still unlucky on his mother's side of the genetic lottery, having a dad who automatically has a recessive allele makes his quirklessness much more likely.
In conclusion: Izuku being born quirkless just adds to the Dad for one theory. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Izuku isn't losing his arms and here's why:
Okay so I know that we're all freaking out over that one manga panel, but we really shouldn't be.
Deku isn't going to lose his arms. It's all in his head.
Just stay with me.
First and foremost, look at the reactions from the characters when they join the battlefield. Specifically Aizawa:
Tumblr media
What about this screams 'one of my students just lost both of his arms and may not end up having a future as a hero anymore?'
You would think that if Hori were to really go through with Izuku losing his arms, he would put more emphasis on the characters' reactions to make it more impactful, right?
To further reinforce this idea, we also need to consider the significance of Izuku's hands in Katsuki's arc. Whether you view their relationship as romantic or not, you can't deny that Izuku's hands holds significance to Katsuki. It represents the time when their relationship first fell apart, and I think in order to call their relationship fully 'healed' and complete Katsuki's growth, he's going to need to accept Izuku's hand again.
I mean, look at how foreshadowed the handhold is. There's no way they're not going to be holding hands by the end of the series. It's a necessity at this point.
And yes, you can argue that they already did hold hands, but to me that handhold didn't seem like the official one. It wasn't as impactful as it could've been. Now, while I'm not saying that the handhold didn't have any emotion to it, I feel like it's impact got a little diluted by Katsuki's revival. It wasn't the main focus. I think that the proper handhold is going to come later and be in it's own moment.
And, I mean, Izuku kind of needs his hands for that to happen.
So now you may be wondering, if Izuku hasn't lost his arms, then how do you explain what's happening to him right now?
Well, like I said earlier, it's all in his head. I think it's AFO fucking around with his mind.
I think AFO is somehow manipulating the vestige world and OFA mental connection he was with Izuku to make him hallucinate that he's lost his arms. He wants Izuku to crumble, and what better way to do that than to convince him that his dream is over and that there's nothing he can do?
I feel like this has also been foreshadowed in a way too. Take a look at this picture:
Tumblr media
This image already foreshadowed Ochako getting stabbed in the chest, so perhaps it's also foreshadowing Izuku's fate?
The knife is in his head, so perhaps it's hinting at him being affected psychologically?
Also, the idea that it's only those that are connected to the vestige realm that can see the illusions that AFO is planting would be a great way to get Katsuki to be a part of the final fight too.
We already know that's he's going to be involved somehow. Hori himself said that the ending for mha was going to be better than the ending for Hero's Rising (the one Kats and Izu share OFA), and what better way to improve that than have Katsuki come save him from the mind fuckery?
I also think that finally having Izuku and Katsuki fight side by side has been foreshadowed for a long time, and if that really were to happen, then there's no better time for that than the final fight.
Also, Katsuki's really the only one that can save Izuku right now if my theory were to be true. He's the only character that fits the very specific requirements that Izuku needs (being connected to the vestige realm, and also having a willingness to save/help Izuku).
Speaking of, Katsuki being connected to the vestige realm was a shock for us all, and it doesn't make sense for why Horikoshi would show us such ground-breaking information if he didn't plan on using it later. This has to be the later. There's no other case where I can see Katsuki's connection to the vestige realm being implemented into the story again other than this.
So here's the TL;DR:
Izuku is being mindfucked by AFO and Katsuki is going to be the one that brings him back to reality

im obsessed with the idea of izukus past-quirklessness staying with him mentally and giving him a major inferiority complex/imposter syndrome. since yk, it feels disingenuous for him to leave his past behind but also hes too afraid/ashamed to mention it to anyone he met after he got OFA.
the image of izuku painting his shoes black is HEAVILY inspired from a scene in Grant me now the dignity (I'll get when I die) by Illiteration on ao3, please give it a read! i love the red shoe theory sm

What if... there is more to Dabi?
Tumblr media
Sometimes I sit and think about stuff because of that I often have weird ideas, theories, headcanons, etc.
For the last few days, I was thinking about Touya and Dabi. How he was super fixated on revenge, EVEN if there were less aggressive ways to solve all of this...
And came to the conclusion:
"What if Touya suffers from DID and Dabi isn't just a way to hide his true identity, but a personality that developed to protect him and seek justice for his harm?"
It's probably super wrong approach but hear me out!
Tumblr media
(From what I read on Wikipedia)
Early childhood trauma, places someone at risk of developing DID.
Traumas like: childhood abuse, violence, neglect, or severe bullying, dysfunctional family dynamics were reported in people suffering from DID
Tumblr media
We all know "hellish" Todoroki family and the way stuff went there.
Touya was a child "created" for greatness by Enji.
From the very being, Enji put into Touya's head that "HE will be the one to suppress All Might himself" and since he was just a child he believed in this.
He believed his father, he wanted to learn, he wanted to achieve this goal, make his father proud, proof he is worth his love and attention because his other siblings were no threat.
Then Shoto was born, and BAM, everything burst like a bubble.
THAT'S WHEN DABI'S DEVELOPMENT COULD START.
Once loved boy with SO many expectations put into him was thrown aside like a rag doll for the sake of little brother.
Neglectful and selfish actions of his own father, mixed with Touya's obsession on being THE CHILD his father once said he was, led him to that cursed mountain and when Enji didn't show up...
That's when Dabi came out.
When we see him wake up after 3 years - it's not Touya, but Dabi.
Dabi - The personality developed to protect Touya, to prove that Touya can be the very thing Enji told he will be, a personality made to PAY BACK for all the harm that child had to go through because of bastard father.
He is like an older brother stepping in front of the younger sibling to take all the harm on himself.
It's not TOUYA doing all those bad things while chasing Enji and going against Shoto - It just Dabi.
Dabi who wants desperately show what Touya is capable of while Touya is just tucked away from all the harm, just waiting to be again acknowledged but not out of pity or because his father feels bad for his own actions but because of what he can be.
Of course, Dabi is so fixated on achieving this goal that he takes EXTREME measures - but it's all for Touya's happiness that he deserved ever since he was born.
Tumblr media
This may make no sens, but this was a train of thoughts that went through my head very recently. The post is probably messy because I am not the best at making such things and putting them 'on paper"
Feel free to comment and tell me what you think about this, BUT please don't be mine or anything. I didn't mean to insult anyone with my limited knowledge.
I am curious of your thoughts

dfo theory is so funny to me especially when it’s combined with InkoMight au cuz just imagine inko having dated only two men in her life and it’s the world’s greatest hero and the world’s most powerful villain
mitsuki: Why did it take you so long to find a new man?
inko: I have sort of high standards.
mitsuki: Oh? How high?
inko: Well, you see…

A question that occasionally plagues my mind: After everything he's gone and done to himself, how the hell does he have perfectly straight, white teeth?
Bones disintegrate after 1100°C (add that to my list of suspicious Google searches, I swear I'm a writer) and blue flames have a temp of 1400°C-1600°C, so his teeth should be blackened powder by now.
So my new headcanon: Dabi does in fact have a resistance to fire...but it's super localized to his teeth. That or Giran was hooking him up with a dentist who was freakishly good at their job.
...
Side note: The perfect teeth theory is weirdly reminding me of the book Dealing With Dragons where one of the characters is a princess who was instructed by her parents to take a loaf of bread into the forest and give it to the first beggar she finds in hopes they'll be a fairy in disguise and give her a blessing of some kind. It works, a beggar woman she finds does turn out to be a fairy, but instead of eternal youth or luck in love or the usual things fairies are known for blessing people with, this fairy goes and blesses her with perfect teeth.
Which has gotta be one of the most practical gifts a fairy can give.

I head-canon that Monoma has a part time job as a quirk specialist and/or counselor. Because of his quirk, he's able to quickly analyze what a quirk is and how to use it effectively and efficiently. So when a kid's first quirk comes in and they are unsure of what it is or someone in general has a hard time controlling their quirks, Monoma will help them by copying the quirk and help them figure out what it is, how to use/controll it, etc...
Monoma was inspired to start this side career when Aizawa asked him that one time to copy Eri's quirk so they could figure out more about it (it is one of my favorite parts in the series).
Side note: Monoma is as much of a quirk nerd as Midoriya is, notebooks and all (he's just a bit more subtle about it lol). During school, Midoriya and him would have long discussions about quirks and their applications, bouncing off ideas, comparing and exchanging notes, etc... And even after school, they try to meet up at least once a month to catch up and discuss quirks. If one of Monoma's patient's quirk is particularly perplexing, he will call Midoriya for a 2nd opinion, and vice versa with Midoriya's students.

So what was the purpose of all of those notebooks if not to foreshadow Izuku becoming a school teacher or some other form of educator/mentor?
I know we joke about Izuku becoming a fast food employee after he graduates, but seriously. What DOES his future look like?
My personal theory is teacher.
However, I can also see historian,a job within the HPSC, or author.

Okay I'm too emotional and tired to be coherent so let me just give you my rough observations as choppily as possible.
The Butterfly Effect is still a thing and that's pretty exciting. A+ 10/10 Good hope for the future foreshadowing. Very wind.
Katsuki destroyed his right arm beyond healing such that surgery left it unable to be what it was before, like Izuku did in the sports festival. Just thought you should know.
"How are you able to move!!!!!" Mitsuki Bakugou is the entire MHA fandom.
Katsuki's breakdown is only more heartbreaking when you notice how he lingers on telling Izuku "Don't let me overtake you!" last chapter. He said that because he didn't know Izuku gave up OFA. He feels BAD about it. It's like the opposite of what happened with Izuku in Kamino when Izuku said "You can't keep up with me!" and apologized for it later. Plus now Katsuki has reason to blame himself for Izuku's downfall just like he did with All Might's. Remember in DvK2 when he told Izuku, "Don't lose"? Please cry.
The doctor's comment on how Katsuki was "kept alive" feels ominous and foreshadowy as hell. Like it could just be nothing but it absolutely could also be something and I'm gonna get to it in a sec.
Okay it's been a sec IZUKU SHOULD NOT STILL BE ABLE TO FEEL THE EMBERS RIGHT? THIS IS ACTUALLY AN AMAZING SIGN!
It's All Might's vestige isn't it. ISN'T IT.
ISN'T IT.
Does Katsuki get to join the Handcrusher Club now?
