Thinking about idea of Jake being one to help Leo realize-

1. He's definitely not allo(demi-ace Leo my beloved-)

2. His crush(that's continuously growing-) on Jason.

Leo feeling too awkward to talk to Piper about her ex-boyfriend (even if they were back on smooth terms still felt wierd-)

And also just ranting to his big brother without connecting any dots.

Jake suddenly realizes he's in same position Beckendorf had been when Jake was younger,right down to Leo collapsing on his bunk with a groan. Deja-vu clicking immediately after he responds with "that bad?"

Him listening to Leo rant about how oddly nervous and distracted he been around Jason, how he feels like his heart is gonna beat out of his chest when they're even close, he once ran face first into a post why he and Jason were walking. Leo's hair caught on fire after Jason had caught him from falling.

Jake almost laughed, had he been that obvious?

After a bit of mostly Leo having an existential crisis, Jake sat him down and gave him a real heart to heart, first time in forever that he talked about Michael, or Beckendorf.

He had the same talk in that same cabin before, and despite everything he didn't regret a single minute him and Michael were together either.

He made sure Leo knew he could always talk to him, and that he 100% was still gonna tease him over it, but over all not to feel ashamed over his feelings.

Just, Jake and Leo having heart to heart after everything- I wished we had more interactions with them together 💛

not to be a chantry man liker on main BUT. i’ve always thought that sebastian and hawke do have a very fun thematic something going on, and by fun i mean it makes me absolutely insane every time i think about it. the roles of youngest and eldest siblings of your respective families. being forced to relinquish your claim to royalty vs clawing your way up from the bottom to being recognized as nobility. losing everyone in your family all at once and not being able to make any effort to prevent it vs losing everyone in your family one by one even though you were right there trying to prevent it the whole time. they’re parallel but completely inverse and i’m so unwell about it.
