Am I the only one that since Elvis came into my life, I really care about my personal appearance? Not that I never cared about it before, but he makes me care about it even more! I've always been more of a tomboy, but because of him, I'm embracing my feminine side more! I'm wearing makeup more often, and I'm actually adding florals to my wardrobe! 😂

I'd like to think that maybe he would've looked my way if he saw me, but who knows? I just feel like he's helped me with my self confidence in a way I never thought possible 🥹

I lost my sister a year ago to cancer. I have always been a lover for sunsets & nature. Ever since her passing, when I come across a beautiful picture of the sky it draws my attention 100 times more.. I could stare into the night skies for hours, so much beauty is there!!! I know my sister is watching over me, while she reminds me of her existence 🥺🙏🥺

The middle of last year i had this dream,

I was in a shop meeting my family, it was a store filled with loads of different things and i remember walking to this area that had loads of Egyptian statues but i was super fascinated by the Anubis ones. There were some made from clay and some necklaces with him on but i had completely fallen in love with this one statue that was small but had been hand painted. It was beautiful. I remember being slightly worried for money but i also knew that Anubis would love it so i brought it. I woke up after that, i just thought it was a weird dream but then the other week i was online lookong up things for Apollo and this Anubis statue pops up and its the same as the one that ive seen im my dream. So i brought it for him and offered it to him yesterday. Now it sits on his altar.

On Thursday I got my mama’s finger print tatted as the shell of a sea turtle.

My mother ADORED sea turtles so so much. We have little sea turtle things all around the house because every Christmas I made sure to gift her something with a sea turtle involved.

My mom loved honu for many reasons.

It reminded her of the beach, of her home Maui, but it also reminded her of her late brother, my uncle Robert, who passed in 2009. He had this huge honu tattooed on his back. It was a beautiful tattoo. They would talk on the phone all the time, late at night over here for our Iowa time, for hours. Losing a sibling is hard and I know that personally.

The honu represents so much in Hawaiian culture to luck, guardian, protection and wisdom.

My mother was my comfort and my guide through life. My plus one. My number one. She will always be my guide and it doesn’t feel like she’s truly gone.

There are moments where I just know what she’d say or do. It’s really bittersweet.

Thank you so so much Amberly and Warrior Tattoo for giving me this tattoo. I love it more and more everyday and it’s so special. Can’t wait for warmer weather so I can show it off more.
