Katie McCabe x reader request
-> Katie and you watch Aine play football for the first time
-> 2 requests in one - I hope you like it!
âł Masterlist
â˘ââââââ
âž â˝â
ââââââ˘
âI want another oneâ somehow happened quite fast and not even a year later â Aine was getting ready to be a big sister. Telling her didnât quite go as Katie or you had plannedâŚ
âBaby in Mummyâs tummy!â
A deadly silence had fallen over the kitchen as your wife and you just exchanged glances, trying to figure out who had snitched, both convinced that it was not you.
âWhat do ya mean lovie?â Katie tried to act unknowingly but apparently forgot that Aine had gotten the sass from her.
âYou need to listen better!â You could barely hold yourself up with how much you were shaking with laughter and the Irishwomanâs shocked face. âWatch ya tone, Missy!â
By now the young girl had attached herself to your leg, clawing at you for âuppiesâ as she had once called it. When you finally caved and sat her on the kitchen counter, she was quickly joined by Cooper who nuzzled his head into her side.
âYouâre right doll. There is a baby in Mummyâs tummy â you will be a big sister.â Both of you were curious about how the seven-year-old would react to the news, not even caring at this point how she had figured it out.
âLike Mama and Auntie Lauryn!â Cooper by now had enough of the excited bouncing, opting to leave and look for a pretty spot in the sun where he could nap until his small human companion would inevitably find him and smother him in pets.
âThatâs right bub! What do you think of that?â Back was the tense silence, as Katie grabbed your hand, giving it a loving squeeze â this was much more terrifying than you had thought. At least you didnât need to actually tell Aine the news, she had taken that upon herself.
The small brunette looked around the open kitchen and living space, her pigtails swishing through the air as she scooted closer to the edge of the countertop, getting her face right next to yours. Katieâs hands were ready in case she fell, which she wouldnât but Katie would always worry. âPssshh! Donât tell - this was my biggest wish for Santa! And it came true!â
Your wife couldnât help but laugh, kissing her daughter's forehead before hiding her face in the very familiar brown hair. âWell, Santa came early then, huh?â It was in the middle of November, but ever since last Christmas, the seven-year-old had started a wish list. âHe did! Cause I wanted it so badly â and Mummy did too!â
This had gone over much better than you could have imagined, and for now, you were just fine with her thinking that Santa was the way her little sibling would find its way to her. âYouâre right Lovie. Mummy and Mama wished for it really badly too.â
---
---
It was no secret that Aine wanted to be just like her Mama, so her playing football should really not come as a surprise to either of you but it turns out that seeing her little girl get accepted into the Arsenal U8s team was something entirely different.
The little brunette had tried out for them, just like any other kid (no matter what haters would say), and got accepted with no problem. At their age group, it wasnât considered as âAcademyâ training, but rather âPre academyâ, with two training sessions a week and ten games across the whole season. They also werenât separated into a girls' and boys' team just yet, so the Arsenal U8âs was a mixed team that would compete against other fixed games and also just boys teams.
With spring break coming up, Aineâs first match was also coming closer and closer. Katie had never felt so many emotions. Seeing you at six months pregnant and now well rounded while her little girl went to training after training, each time coming home with a bigger smile.
âLook at this! Youâll look just like Mama!â
Katie really couldnât hold her tears anymore â with you holding her hand Aine admired herself in the mirror, wearing her game-day kit for the very first time.
But instead of Katie's 15 on her back, she had a 10 â for Kim Little, the best Midfielder there was and your daughter's biggest idol, much to her mama's disappointment.
âYou look so grown up, Doll.â Seeing your wife this emotional, and Aine so happy gave you the rest. Now both of you were bawling your eyes out while the little brunette hopped around the house, before running back with Katieâs phone in her little hands.
âTake a picture, Mummy! For Auntie Kim!â
In the picture you were holding the grinning girl in your arms, as she proudly kissed your tummy, refusing to properly pose as she wanted to show Kim her little sibling as well.
This was the best day yet for the young gunner. After all, she was going to be a big sister, so she had to be a good example and play good football â just like the grown-ups.
âDo me a favor, my love?â Aine stood in between her mother's legs when she finally composed herself a little. âHmmm?â
âGrow up a little slower, will ya?â
---
---
Turns out preparing for gameday, and actually experiencing one, were completely different experiences â especially when it was a double game day.
Aine was already hopping through the house like an excited bunny when Katie made her way down the stairs to make breakfast.
The Irishwoman had kissed your forehead, gently waking you up with a mumbled âMornin Love. Thirty minutes.â Before going downstairs. God was her morning voice attractive.
It was seven in the morning. On a Sunday. Entirely too early for a six-month pregnant you who had put a giddy child to bed, that didnât want to sleep. But your wife was gracious, giving you thirty more minutes to wake up fully before helping her daughter bring breakfast in.
You could get used to this â a delicious meal in bed with your wife and daughter, although a little later would have been nice.
âMummy, when do we have to go?â This was the third time Aine had asked in the last ten minutes, and every time either Katie or you had given her the answer but the small brunette couldnât help herself â she was just too excited.
This was the fastest you had ever seen the seven-year-old get washed and dressed after breakfast. She was so fast, that she had gotten impatient with your much slower speed. Aine took it upon herself to get you dressed while you brushed your teeth while sat on the closed toilet.
âFoot please Mama!â You did as asked, picking up your legs off the floor so that your daughter could slip socks over your feet.
And with a quick zoom, she was in your bedroom again, just to return with wide, comfortable pants that you just knew that your wife chose. Instead of giving them to you, she threw them on the floor. âStep in please!â Good thing you were already wearing underwear, huh? As good as she could, Aine helped you get them up and over your bump, but not before giving it a kiss and whispering a small âHi!â
It went like that until you were fully dressed and she pulled you to the hallway, where your wife helped you into shoes as you could barely see the ground anymore.
âIs this okay? I thought maybe I should have given her longer socks because it will be cold â but then we have a blanket so maybe you will get too hot an-â Katieâs rambling was cut short with a passionate kiss. âItâs perfect â Thank you, my Love.â
âLet go, let go, let's go!â
---
---
âNow you know how it feels to watch you play!â Katie was tense as she leaned against one of the beams that surrounded the football pitch.
The drive here had gone by fairly quickly as Aine made sure to tell your wife all about her teammates. You had met most of them already during practice or while picking her back up again â the small brunette would always chat with anybody who would listen until you walked over to take her home. Her chattiness definitely came from your wife â but right now there was nothing in the world that could make the Irishwoman relax.
âSheâs tougher than she looks, my Love.â By now you had taken the footballer's hand, rubbing calming circles on it in a desperate attempt to calm her down.
Aine was one of four girls on the pitch â two on her team and two on the other. The rest were all boys. And while you knew that she was feistier than she looked, much more like her mother than you, the size difference between her and some of the boys was terrifying.
âOi Ref!â Your wifeâs hand shot up when an opposing boy had clumsily taken your daughter down with him in an attempt to stop her from getting even closer to their goal. âThatâs a free kick! Ref!â The guy refereeing the game didnât see the incident at first, angering Katie even further â but when he did look over the first thing that he saw, was a tiny brunette shoving a boy at least a head taller off of her.
The shrill sound of a whistle agreed with Katie, and the Arsenal U8s were indeed allowed a freekick in a very good position for them, as your daughter had been very central on the field and closing in on goal.
Katieâs grip on your hand tightened with stress â she knew what she would do in this situation. But did her seven-year-old know it as well? They spent countless dinner conversations talking about football and plenty of different techniques, with impressive input from Aine, so she had to know what she was doing, right?
 And she did.
The brunette passed to one of her free strikers and started running through the masses. She was small, fast, and agile â and before the opposing team could blink, her striker passed back to her when she was standing directly in front of the goal.
âYes! Thatâs my daughter!â
Katie couldnât contain herself any longer â the ball had hit the back of the net with a surprising amount of force, their keeper jumping in the other direction, making this a perfect goal. Her first goal.
After high-fiving every player on her team your daughter sprinted over to where you stood and gave a quick kiss to your belly just like she had done earlier in the morning. âFor you, baby!â
The match ended shortly after Arsenal's third goal, assisted by your daughter who once again looked at you and Katie, to see if you watched her â which you did.
One of the trainers had brought a box of mixed ice-creams and even though the young brunette wasnât supposed to, she took three of them and quickly made her way to you and your wife.
âDonât you wanna eat with your friends baby?â
âNuh-uh. You are my best friends.â
Well, there go your hormones again as you couldnât hold your tears at bay any longer. âI love you so much Aine. And you played so well.â The seven-year-old kissed your forehead much like Katie did, before ensuring that someone had recorded the game so that she could show Auntie Kim her goal.
âThat was my first win for baby sister, Mommy! Now Mama needs to win tonight so itâs a perfect day!â
âGeez no pressure huh?â Everything was packed up now and the pitch was getting emptier by the minute as multiple parents made their way to their cars at the same time you did.
âAine I have a question.â
âYeah?â
âWhat if itâs a baby brother instead?â
She was now buckled into her car seat, with Katie still at her door trying to work out something that has been bothering her ever since your daughter had announced that you were pregnant again. Neither you nor Katie have been told the gender of the baby, yet the youngest family member seemed sure that it would be a girl again.
âItâs not. Itâs a baby sister.â
âHow do you know that?â
You tried to watch their interaction as well as you could from your passenger seat. Your Wifeâs eyes were wide with curiosity, something that you saw in Aine nearly every day.
âI just do.â
âYou terrify me, Kid.â

congrats on 2222!! soulmate au with frankie would be so cute. I love frankie sm heâs just the cutest đ
Hi lovely! Thank you for this prompt. I was a bit apprehensive because I've read one (1) soulmate AU in my entire life and wasn't sure if I could do it justice. But obviously, Frankie takes this by the ears and I just had the best time writing it. This is also a college AU because apparently I love AUs set with Pedro boys in college đ¤ˇđťââď¸
This drabble is actually an AU of an upcoming fic I have in the works, called Summer House (with a lot less angst and pain). I hope you like it sweet anon!
Frankie Morales x soulmates AU
Fuck Yeah 2222 Sleepover micro drabble request | 1346 words (sorry) | warnings: mentions of alcohol consumption, college AU, inexperienced reader, drinking games, friends to soulmates
Sometimes, you wonder what colour Frankieâs eyes are.
Itâs not something you wonder about often, not when everyone has grey eyes - but not really. One day, when you kiss your soulmate for the first time, you will see their eye colour, and they will see yours.
So you definitely donât have any business wondering anything of the kind about Frankie at all, seeing that you two do not get along. Never have, probably never will, despite having been in the same close knit group since you were kids. Benny has long played the second to your principal in your duels with Frankie, while Santi is his, with Will keeping the peace whenever you get into a particularly thorny disagreement.
But thatâs the funny thing about friendship. Despite your bickering, you got his back, and you know he has yours.
Youâve heard about it once or twice through the grapevine in high school, but finding oneâs soulmate seems to be a dime a dozen in college, with happy news dropping left, right and centre throughout the academic year.
While youâre not in a hurry to find your fated other half, you start thinking that you should at least get started with the kissing part. Youâre way behind your friends and peers on that front, somehow missing out on the formative experience despite being a regular fixture at house parties at high school, then sorority parties in your freshman year in college.
You really should blame the boys. No one wants to risk messing with a girl who has three hulking seniors and one equally hulking sophomore at her beck and call, not when there are far easier options around.
But you know itâs not just that, and youâll only admit it when you're drunkenly tucking yourself into bed, alone yet again after another party. It feels like youâre the only person your age whoâs still (stupidly) holding onto the hope that your first kiss can be something, not just a sloppy makeout session with too much tongue and too little meaning.
And so you find yourself, still never been kissed, when summer rolls around at the end of your first year at college. Your gang of five is about to shrink to just you and Benny, with the rest of the boys enlisting after they graduate, and the impending farewell upsets you more than you care to show.
The five of you spend the first week together at the Millersâ summer house after school lets out, as has been tradition since you were kids - with your parents when you were younger, but itâs been just kids for the last few years.
Well, just the kids plus one, since Frankie always brings a girlfriend. Unfailingly, it's someone beautiful with perfect hair who has a wandering eye for the other boys, and hates your guts for being the only girl in the group.
On the last night, the guys invite a select crowd over for one final hurrah before they go home and get ready to ship out to basic training the following week. Music is booming, cheap beer is flowing, and youâre all in the garden, the sticky Floridian heat clinging to you like a second skin.
Ironically, itâs Frankieâs girlfriend who wants to play spin the bottle. He sits opposite you, his Standard Oil cap pulled over his eyes but failing to hide his annoyance at being forced to participate. You roll your eyes at him across the circle, and he gives you a middle finger back.
Will, the self-appointed gamesmaster, spins the bottle set on a pizza box atop the lawn.
It spins, and spins, and spins - until it doesnât.
You look on in sheer horror when the bottle stutters to a stop squarely before you, the other end pointing at Frankie, who turns green with nausea.
âFUCK NO!â
You attempt to run, only to be tackled to the ground by Santi, who practically hauls you by the waist back to the circle as you kick and scream.
Frankie, on the other hand, has to be restrained by both Miller brothers.
âI have a girlfriend!â he shouts, digging the heels of his beat-up sneakers into the grass.
She doesnât seem to mind though, clapping gleefully along with everyone else, chanting, âKiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!â
Shoved toe to toe in the middle of the circle under watchful eyes, you exchange vicious glares. Frankieâs broad shoulders are hunched over defensively, arms crossed. Itâs strange, youâve known him forever, but this is probably physically the closest youâve ever been to each other without being locked in a fist fight.
Warmth bounces off his tightly wound up frame as he towers over you, and by some folly, you feel an inexplicable pull.
You fight the staggering want to bury your nose in that grey tshirt (the one he wears Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and restocks at Old Navy when it wears too thin), to swipe that hat off his head to brush the curls from his face, to look into his eyes - and see what colour they are.
In the end, Frankie breaks first - youâre not sure if itâs the jeering and goading from the crowd or your stubborn standoff that makes him snap. Grabbing you by the elbow, he hauls you firmly into his chest before you can react.
You should be embarrassed, mortified that this is how youâre going to end up losing your first kiss. And yet, losing doesn't seem like the right word.
Thereâs a deep-seated calmness inside you, knowing that itâs going to be Frankie. The boy youâve known since you were three, the teenager who used to make you cry with stupid juvenile pranks, and the man now who wouldnât hesitate to throw a punch if anyone even looks at you the wrong way.
As soon as the tip of his proud nose brushes yours, your eyes slide shut of their own accord - and he kisses you.
God, his lips are so soft. Your breath catches in your throat, and your knees wobble so dangerously that your fingers twist into the front of his tshirt, holding on for dear life.
Can he tell that you donât know how to kiss, at all? Does he think youâre terrible? The fact that this feels so fucking perfect despite having no idea what youâre doing sets you on edge, a magnifying glass trained on your inexperience in a way that makes you stiffen with nerves and awkwardness.Â
He must be appalled at how bad you are, especially after the litany of gorgeous, more experienced girls heâs been with over the years. You canât believe youâre subjecting him to this, how would he ever look you in the eye afterwards -
But then, something shifts when his hands find your waist, palms easily spanning the small of your back as he pulls back for air, but only just, still so close that you can feel the tickle of his beard on your chin. Thereâs an unmistakable hitch in his breath, a tremour as he exhales, which in turns makes you tremble and switches off the unwelcome commentary in your head.
Itâs as if he wants you.
Before you can think too hard, Frankie leans in and kisses you again, harder this time, the tip of his tongue tracing the seam of your mouth, and heat chases down your spine like a meteor. He sucks on your bottom lip when it falls open in a gasp, dipping between your lips with a clever swipe of his tongue against yours that makes you shudder and whimper, which he swallows with a possessive growl.
Your lungs are burning when he draws back, his nose still touching yours.
Then he calls your name.
You blink as your eyes open -
Frankieâs staring at you, lips parted, his gaze reverential. Like heâs never seen you before. Reaching up, he takes your face in his hands, calloused palms on your cheeks, thumbs swiping away the tears that wonât stop. You break into a watery grin, which he mirrors, a warm chuckle rumbling in his chest, holding you close as everything falls into place -
Frankieâs eyes are brown.
Note: In case it's not clear, in this fic, everyoneâs eyes appear grey. You can only see your soulmate's eye colour after you kiss them for the first time.

The Summer that Lasted Forever :
The Website
pairing: female!reader x NCT DREAM Chenle x NCT WISH Sion x RIIZE Eunseok
genre: camp conselor!au (angst, fluff and etc)
WC: 0.6k
AN: Ideas, criticism and more is encouraged!! I would love to hear everyones thoughts!
Series Masterlist ||
As a college student you found your summers to be open. But this year you wanted a fulfilling vacation. Three months of pure nothing for the past few years left you empty and just as exhausted as before you left for break. Yes you had time to relax and de-stress, but something seemed to be missing. So this year you promised yourself to step out of your comfort zone and at least find a job to occupy your free time.
Finding a summer job hadn't seemed that daunting then. It was definitely scary now. Looking online and even through newspapers to find any places hiring.
You knew for a fact fast food was something you wouldn't do. Handling food, customers and the occasional Karen was not on your bucket list.
Retail hadn't seemed that bad, but it seemed like all the places weren't hiring. You've considered volunteering but again the places either weren't looking for more volunteers or the application process took at least four months.
Just as you're about to give up though, you see a bright multicolored banner sporting a black and white âCamp Kwangyaâ on the bottom of your screen.
When you scroll all the way down you see a ânow hiringâ button flashing right in the middle. You've never heard of this place but you continue to click it bringing you to another website. The website honestly looks thrown together and shady with its messy color scheme, minimalist design and blurry photos. And the age categories were also very suspicious with the huge gap of 6-17 years old.
The reviews though told another story.
"This camp will forever be my kid's happy place. The friendships he's made over the last two years are still going strong!"
"My Kid went here years ago! He just recently became a camp counselor, would recommend to anyone who will listen"
"My daughter went here for about 5 years, and she loved it. I would totally recommend this camp for other parents. Each age is divided and my kiddo loved it here. Said it was always the highlight of her summers."
"The counselors are amazing and always put me and my friends first :) "
Scrolling past the reviews and comments about the camp you come to the end of the page and see a link in bright red reading "Our awesome team of counselors that we hope you join!" After you come to another part of the website you're met with a video with the Camp director, Lee Soo-man, introducing each counselor.
First up were the female counselors Minjeong, Jimin, Aeri and Yizhuo. Each had their own charm and honestly were so beautiful.
For the past few years Minjeong (known as Winter to the kids), Jimin (Karina) and Yizhuo (NingNing) had been counselors for the 13-15 year-olds. When Aeri (Giselle) joined last year the groups age range then spanned 13-17 year olds. After explaining that there was a move towards there being at least five counselors-per age, the last few years were exceptions, each girl introduced herself.
The next set of counselors were slightly older including Juhyun (Irene), Seulgi, Seungwan (Wendy), Sooyoung (Joy), and Yerim (Yeri). These women were introduced as the 10, 11 and 12 year old counselors.
Finally Boa, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Yoona were for the 6-9 year old counselors. They explained that while also being the counselors for the youngsters, they were also apart of the head commit that kept the female side of this camp running. Because these kids were the youngest, they would only stay half of a full summer session. Some kids would only do half days anyways, these were the only kids that didnât stay 24/7 for the next 6 weeks.
After the last of their introductions the video cut to the director going on about how each counselor was hand chosen by him and the prior/ current ones. It was a very deep and long process only to choose the best option for not only the other team members, but for the kids as well.
Seeing the way director Lee was talking about it, it really did seem like a long and time consuming. The man was passionate about only finding the best option out there. Maybe this wasn't the right job for you.
Just as you're second guessing yourself and about to close out of the website all together. You see a group of the most beautiful men you have ever seen go across your computer screen.
...Okay...so maybe that deep and long application process wasn't really that bad. Was applying worth it? I mean you would be working with fine women and men.
- Do you apply?
[YES] OR [NO]

Interview with Joker Out's member Nace Jordan, from Slovenian magazine KranjÄanka!
"Enriched by a special experience"
We caught up with Nace Jordan, bassist of Joker Out, a week or so after the Eurovision show in Liverpool, a few days after the show in Zagreb, and just before they left for the show in Dublin, where they sold out their first show in twenty minutes⌠On stage, they kept company to the Irish performers.
The fact that this guy, who is otherwise from Mlaka (T.N: small village near Kranj), is fully booked, can be confirmed by telling you that he moved into a new flat in March of this year - he has been living in Ljubljana for some time now - but he has spent less than 14 days there until it was time for the Eurovision Song Contest. He still returns to Kranj at least twice a week to visit his mother and to stay true to himself: he decided to get a personal trainer a while ago, so now he also goes to Kranj to train there.
Nace Jordan came into contact with music in primary school. He first played the guitar, which he soon replaced with the bass guitar. "Around the fifth grade of primary school (T.N: 10-11 years old), I became interested in instruments and a classmate and I decided to start a music group. He bought a drum set and I bought an electric guitar. Then we quickly saw that there were no bass players. So I sold the guitar and bought a bass guitar," he explains. He has no formal musical training, but says he has been lucky that wherever he has gone in life, there has always been a good mentor who has been able to guide him.
I: How long did this primary school group last?
N: In those days it was a well-known Kranj band called Success. We did a lot of gigs. It's interesting that all the band members from that time are now living off music. They are, for example, the guitarist Nejc UĹĄlakar, Tajda JovanoviÄ - also from Mlaka - who is a top classical singer and used to sing at the famous Scala in Milan; if I am not mistaken, she is now teaching classical singing in Dubai. We just created an environment for ourselves and stayed in music. The drummer and keyboard player, AljaĹž Bernik and Miha PetroviÄ, have, for example, a very successful wedding band, called Pop Deluxe.
I: What came after primary school? (* (T.N: In Slovenia, primary school lasts for 9 years, from ages 6-15)
N: I enrolled at the then Iskra University, majoring in mechatronics, but just before graduation I started working - actually playing on a cruiser. By some chance I found myself at a jam session open mind in Kranj, where the Kranj drummer Rok Rozman was looking for someone to go on the boat with him. He was impressed with me, I auditioned and of course they weren't very happy at home when I confronted them with the fact that I was going to take my final exams the following year. I was just 18 years old.
I: Was that a cruise ship?
N: Yes. We were travelling in the Baltic Ocean. I remember that we started in Germany, in a port north of Hamburg, then continued on to Gdansk, St Petersburg and to the Scandinavian countries.
l: That was probably the only time you've been on a cruise ship of that kind, a tourist cruise ship?
I've had a lot of people ask me if I would ever go on holiday on a cruise ship. Probably not. But I would go and have another look at the one I played on.
I: When you came back to Slovenia, did you graduate from high school? N: I didn't and I still regret it a little bit. When I came back from the ship, I started working with the singer Katarina Malo. During that time, I was also taken under the wing of two musicians from Primorska (T.N.: a region in the South-Western part of Slovenia) - that's what I mentioned: I found myself somewhere and then a mentor came along. I learned a lot from them. They were David Morgan and Denis Beganovic - Kiki. The first one is a top jazz drummer from the coastal area, he organises a lot of stuff, and he also plays with Avtomobili (T.N. slovenian band), I think he even played with Plestenjak (T.N. Jan Plestenjak, a famous Slovenian pop singer) at one point. Whereas Kiki is a multi-instrumentalist. He's an extraordinary talent. He has worked with Kanzyani and other famous DJs and musicians from abroad. He has made a lot of music, and he also led the Big Band from the coastal region. That was a really nice period for me. I even moved to the coastal region for a short period.
I: Why music, why not football?
N: Certainly not football (laughs). It's the sport I'm least talented in, or rather, all ball sports fall into that context - be it table tennis or football; and, even though my surname is Jordan, I'm the worst basketball player in the world (laughs). Just two days ago, I met my first grade teacher, and of course the topic of music and Eurovision came up. She told me that she knew even back then that school was not for me, but that I would definitely do something creative in my life. It brought back memories of how bored I was at school and how I would rather draw under my desk than listen, even though I was not a bad student.
I: You haven't been a member of Joker Out for long.
N: Since last year. Martin JurkoviÄ, the original bass player, felt at some point that music was not his main path. He is also an extremely talented programmer and is studying in that direction. He wants to study abroad and decided to finish that chapter. I knew the lead singer of the band, Bojan, from some mutual friend groups before, and the guys were looking for someone who was around their age, professional, good at what they do, and they thought of me. And Martin was in favour of me coming into the group instead of him.
I: And did you imagine that the band would continue the way it did?
N: From the beginning I went into the band with a bit of hesitation. I even suggested a test period. I had learnt that there has to be chemistry between the members. And if we didn't get along with each other the way we do, we wouldn't have performed on the Eurovision stage. We would have had a fight otherwise.
I: Do you spend a lot of time together?
N: First there were the Eurovision showcase concerts, and now there is the summer concert tour in Slovenia. We also have quite a few problems, because we get a lot of calls from abroad. It's logistically difficult, so we're looking for a solution to link some of the concerts to the tour. After the Eurovision Song Contest, we really started to get noticed abroad.
I: Was this your first Eurovision Song Contest?
N: Yes. But I have been to EMA (slovenian national selection for ESC) several times before.
I: Was it as you imagined it would be?
N: Even better. I can say that everyone who has been through this kind of experience has told us that it will be really tough: there will be a lot of work, but that we should also expect crazy parties. But in the end, it was much less exhausting than we expected. In fact, we had such a busy schedule beforehand that Eurovision itself was almost easier for us afterwards. We were practically in the Arena for five days, the rest was socialising, interviews and other commitments. In principle, we like that.
I: You seemed to be well received.
N: We were lucky enough to have connected with practically all the performers. We were always in a good mood, which was seen and felt both in the performances and in the interviews, during the statements. We came home really enriched by a special experience. And it was really nice to see how the people at home supported us. After the first semi-final, we got some footage of how they were watching us and we were just amazed how behind BeĹžigrad (Ljubljana district), let's say, they watched the first semi-final show in an organised way. The energy was crazy, like at a match.
I: What about Liverpool? Was there any time to "play tourists"?
N: During Eurovision, not really. We were in Liverpool before, because we were shooting a video. I think it was after Barcelona, and we did a lot of walking around the city then. For those who like the Beatles, Liverpool is great.
I : How did it come about that you went to Eurovision in the first place?
N : When I came into the group, the guys and I immediately started talking about whether we would go to this year's EMAs. We decided to go. We knew we would definitely be one of the favourites because we have a really big and extremely loyal audience. Well, then the EMA didn't happen. The jury decided to make their own choice, from the five entries who had the most songs of the week during that year. And I think only two of us ended up applying. There was no EMA, and they sent us to Liverpool.
I: You mostly use Slovenian in your songs.
N: Of course. We have a few songs in English, but we mostly sing in Slovenian. We were talking about how we would work going forwards, and we agreed not to bother with the language. We are proud of our Slovenian language. It's really something beautiful when you see an adult Peruvian man or a five-year-old Spanish girl singing our song in Slovenian. In that moment you understand the athletes and you are proud to be Slovenian.
I: How is it on the street? Do people recognise you? You often hear: is that the bass player of Joker Out?
N: Yes, quite. Most of the time it's people who say something nice to you, or want a selfie. Of course, there are also some "admirers" who stick gum all over my car or leave messages. There's a good side and a bad side to being a public personality. Sometimes it requires of you to spend three hours taking photos - but if you enjoy doing something, that's not a problem either.
I: Do you think that it is actually the fact that you get along well in a group that "pulls" in the audience?
N: The energy between us is definitely something that is contagious. I don't know if it's what makes the audience really like us, but it's something that puts even someone who is in a bad mood in a good mood.

*************************************************************
It was a warm and humid late May Friday afternoon. You walked through the courtyard, tossing your hair up into a loose bun to get it off your neck in this heat. You dressed for the temperature, wearing a short yellow sun dress with spaghetti straps, complete with strappy sandals showing off your pedicured toes. You were ready for your week-long stay in the Florida Keys, a clichĂŠ but nevertheless exciting college summer vacation. Your first year of college was ending, and the only thing that stood in your way of you and your friendsâ trip was your final exam for Professor Bowerâs class.
Truth be told, you were a little disappointed to be finishing his class, even though it was just a standard required English literature course. You often found yourself absentmindedly staring up at him as he sat on the edge of his desk, a pen tucked with soft blonde locks behind his ear, leading a group discussion on the assigned reading. His high cheek bones, chiseled jaw, pale blue eyes, the wrinkles that would form in the corner of his eyes as he smiled at wonderfully thought-out opinions and analyses from the students, his charming British accent.
There was that one time he leaned in close at your desk to look over your work, feeling the warmth of his body radiate against you, his cologne lingering for a few moments after walking away. How he said your name when calling on you to answer a question. How you would drift off into a daydream wondering how your name would sound leaving his lips in a much more intimate setting⌠You spent the whole semester in his class feeling a yearning deep in your core. You were going to milk todayâs time in his classroom as long as you could. Perhaps you had also worn the outfit you had chosen for more than just the heat wave, hoping to catch his attention just once before parting ways.
The campus was quieter than usual, with many students having already finished their exams and left for the summer. You had some time before your exam and decided to stop by the cafĂŠ on campus for a coffee and last minute study session. After being handed your drink, you went to take a seat on one of the couches and took out your notebook, scanning over the pages of notes.
âAh, a little cramming session?â A familiar voice said in front of you.
You looked up from being buried in the pages to see him, Professor Bower. He was dressed much more casual than usual. In a pair of black jeans with a white t-shirt and a black blazer over it.
You smiled. âOhâŚwell, you know. Couldnât hurt, right?â He looked incredible; you loved this more laid back look on him. Not that he didnât look great in a tie as well. âYou look like youâre ready for summer vacation.â
He looked down at his outfit and back up to you with a chuckle. âYeah, I figured Iâd tone it down for this last day, maybe help everyone relax for the exam⌠you look like youâre in summer vacation mode as well. You lookâŚvery nice.â He looked you up and down, lingering a little longer than you expected somewhere below your eyeline.
You blushed and felt butterflies in your abdomen. âOh umâŚthank you. I-Iâm heading south after this.â You cursed yourself in your head for saying it like an innuendo.
âYou donât say, how fun.â He grinned. âWell, I better go get everything printed. Iâll see you in class. Good luck on the exam, Y/N.â
You nodded with a meek smile as he turned and headed off in the other direction. All you could think about were his eyes on you, how you would have loved to see what his hands would have done, and how tightly your thighs were squeezing together.
****
The classroom was dead silent during the exam, except for the scribbling of pens and pencils across pages. Jamie was sitting at his desk at the front of the room, glancing over his macbook every so often at the room. You found it hard to focus after your encounter earlier, looking up frequently to gaze at him. On a few occasions, he caught you, your eyes meeting for a brief second before you frantically and embarrassingly looked back down at the exam. He would smirk to himself as you felt your cheeks grow hot. Youâre blowing it, you thought to yourself.
One by one, each of your classmates brought their finished exams up to the front, with Jamie quietly telling each of them to have a good summer.
â30 minutes left, guys.â He announced to the few of you remaining.
He looked directly at you, holding your gaze for what felt like an eternity before going back to his work on his laptop. You looked back down at your exam, now furiously writing, worried that you wouldnât finish because of your distracted mind. Not only were you embarrassing yourself in front of the hot professor, but you would also fail his class. Before you knew it, it was just you and Jamie left in the classroom. You glanced to the clock, swallowing hard.
âTimeâs up, love.â He said from his desk.
You sighed, gathering your belongings and making your way to the front. You handed your packet to him. âI uhâŚI didnât finish. Iâm sorryâŚâ
Jamie tutted as he reached for the papers. âEven with that last minute study session?â
âI guess I wasâŚa little distractedâŚâ You shifted on your feet.
âDistracted?â Jamie leaned back in his chair. âAnything youâd want to talk about?â The look in his eyes felt ravenous, like they were reeling you in as prey.
âI donât knowâŚâ You started as he stood up and began walking around to the front of the desk. You felt your breathing get heavier and a sudden wave of confidence washed over you. âI-I uhâŚkept thinking about how good you look in that blazerâŚâ
Jamie let out a soft chuckle as he came to sit on the front of his desk like usual. âIs that so?â
You turned slightly to face him. âAndâŚhow good youâve looked all semester...how Iâve been hoping youâd notice meâŚâ Your entire body was electrified, being this close to him, desperately wanting his hands on you.
Jamie smirked, taking your arm and guiding you in between his slightly spread legs. Your breath hitched. His hands rested at your hips, sending aching pulses straight to your pussy.
âDarling, Iâve noticed. You always wearing those short skirts, twirling your pen in your mouth in class, not even knowing youâre driving me wildâŚbut we both know I canât get involved like that with a studentâŚas much as I want toâŚâ His voice was low, you felt his hands start to caress your hips and move towards your ass.
âBut Iâm technically not your student anymoreâŚthe exam is over, Iâm done with your class.â You put your hands on his chest, leaning into him, feeling his chest rise and fall with more force. You craned your neck up at him.
He snorted a laugh. âYou know I meant as a university student here in generalâŚfuck, you look so good in this dress though.â His hand now resides firmly on your ass.
You began tracing circles with your finger on his chest, looking up at him with your best doe eyes. âI wonât tell if you donât tellâŚâ You whispered, pressing yourself into him, feeling him harden beneath you.
Jamie groaned quietly with a slight chuckle. âOh, youâre gonna be the death of me....fuck it.â
He hungrily pressed his lips into yours, both of you immediately softly moaning into the otherâs mouth, overwhelmed with want. You move your hands from his chest, wrapping them around his neck. His tongue greedily asked for entrance at your lips, which you wasted no time allowing it in, twirling yours with his. A semesterâs worth of desire was erupting inside you, finally coming to fruition.
As you both clumsily tried to get more of each otherâs mouths, Jamieâs hands planted firmly on the underside of your thighs, lifting you up against him. Your legs instantly wrapped around his waist as he spun around, sitting you down on his desk, never once breaking contact. He slid the blazer off over his shoulders, tossing it on to his chair behind the desk. You didnât know he had tattoos. He had always worn blazers or long sleeve button ups. It was a welcomed surprise, you always had a weak spot for tattoos.
You pulled back from him, allowing you both to catch your breath. âYou wanna fuck me right here on your desk?â You asked playfully.
âIâve wanted to fuck you on this desk from day one.â He smirked, placing another kiss on your cheek before turning away.
He slipped over to the door, twisting the lock with a click. You were already so wet with anticipation, but you were still relatively new to sex, and suddenly felt a pang of apprehension creep in. You werenât a virgin, but you werenât exactly experienced. Aside from a less than notable prom night at a motel, you hadnât seen much action. But this was a man, a probably very experienced man, and you were worried about impressing him.
Turning back from the door, he paused just for a moment, taking note of your changed body language. âHey, you okay? You know, we can stop here if you want.â He walked back to you, standing between your legs, placing a hand on your outer thigh.
âNo, no Iâm fine. I want this. I want youâŚI justâŚIâve only had sex once.â You looked away, embarrassed.
Jamie chuckled. âOh, darlingâŚâ He cooed as he brought his hand to your cheek. âYou can trust me. I can go as easy as you want.â His gentle care turned you on even more.
You brought your hand to his on your cheek and pulled it down, pressing it to your aching heat between your thighs, looking up at him with glassy eyes. âWhat ifâŚI donât want you to go easy.â You whispered. âHow about you teach me something new, professorâŚâ
His eyes went from where you placed his hand, and back up to your eyes. âShitâŚyouâre so wet.â He breathed; you felt his fingers lightly moving against your clothed cunt. âYou sure you want this?â
âMhm...god, I want you.â You nodded, staring at his lips, hoping his fingers would find their way under the barrier separating them from where you needed them.
Jamie crashed his lips into yours, as you clamored your hands over his shoulders and arms, hoping to pull him closer. His hand remained between your legs, teasing you with pressure that just wasnât enough. You brought one hand down to his emerging bulge, caressing him through his jeans. A soft moan came from his throat as he rocked his hips slightly, before pulling away from you and taking your hand off of him. You looked confused.
âNo, no. Your hands stay above both our waists, got it? Now, lie back.â He smirked.
You did as he said, slowly lowering yourself back on to the desk, keeping eye contact with Jamie. He remained between your legs, a hand on either thigh. He slowly pushed his hands up toward your hips, bringing the bottom hem of your dress up with them, exposing your light blue panties that were splotched with your excitement. He smiled to himself seeing how turned on you were for him. He glanced up at you, just scanning one more time for any sense of hesitation, before hooking his fingers around the band of them, and sliding them down your legs.
He tucked them into his back pocket, bending over you, meeting your lips again. He nipped at your bottom lip, as he reached back down, tracing a finger lightly over your slit. Your hips bucked upward, begging for more stimulation. Jamie smirked against your lips as he took his finger to your clit and began tracing tight circles. He moved his lips from yours down to your neck, biting and suckling, no doubt leaving marks that would take a few days to fade. You squirmed under his touch, aching for even more.
âProfessor BowerâŚâ you moaned.
âCall me Jamie, love.â He said against your neck.
âJaaamieeâŚâ You moaned again.
âFuck, I love the sound of that.â He groaned, removing his finger from your bundle of nerves, a whimper leaving your mouth at the loss of contact.
He pushed you slightly backward, giving him the right angle now to place a delicate kiss on your thigh. He smirked up at you briefly before then moving planting his mouth on to your eager cunt. His tongue worked euphoric circles on your clit, not wasting any time also plunging a finger inside you. You gasped, grinding your hips down into his face, tensing yourself, your hands automatically tangling themselves up in his hair. Suddenly, he stopped.
âHey. What did I say? Hands above the waist, or I wonât touch you anymore.â He said sharply.
âButâŚit feels so goodâŚI canât.â You say, catching your breath.
âWell then I guess weâre done here.â He started to stand up.
âNo! PleaseâŚplease keep touching me. Iâll be good.â You bit your lip.
Jamie smiled devilishly as he sank back down to his position. âThatâs my good girl.â
He returned to working on you with his tongue, pumping in and out with his finger. You tried to stifle your increasing moans, not wanting to draw attention to yourselves. Jamie moaned into your pulsating heat, causing vibration, and sending shockwaves through your core. You gripped the edges of the desk, trying to follow Jamieâs rule, writhing under him. You bucked your hips up as he slipped in a second finger, pumping rhythmically as he swirled his tongue.
âShitâŚshit I-..â You breathed.
âYouâre doing so well, baby. Thatâs it. Iâve got you.â Jamie pressed a hand to your lower abdomen, increasing the growing pressure in your belly.
Without thinking, you grabbed his hand, gripping it tightly as you squirmed, feeling your release building. He smiled against you at this innocent and intimate gesture, intertwining his fingers with yours, still suckling your sensitive bud. He curled his fingers upward inside you in a beckoning motion.
âJamie, fuck, I-âŚIâm gonnaâŚâ
"Yes, love. Go on, cum for me. Cum just for me." Jamie kissed and nibbled on your inner thigh.
You felt your orgasm crash over you. Your legs quivered as your head fell back in ecstasy. He caressed your hand in his with his thumb as he kept rubbing your clit with his other, helping you ride out your high. He came back up to your lips as you came down in a haze, tasting yourself as he kissed you.
âYou still with me, love?â He asked chuckling, pulling you to sit upward again.
âYeahâŚno oneâs ever gone down on me before. Youâve set the bar really high, though.â You panted, buzzing all over.
âGood.â He smirked, leaning into kiss you again.
You couldnât wait any longer, you needed him. All of him. Right then. You brought your hands up to his belt, eagerly undoing it as he smiled against your lips. He assisted in removing the belt and pushing his jeans down, his cock springing out over the band of his boxers as he pulled them down. He spit into his hand and wrapped around his cock, stroking himself a few times as he stared at you, taking you all in with his eyes before he had his way.
"I need you...I need you right now, Jamie. Please." The words poured out of your mouth, dripping in lust.
Jamie chuckled. "So desperate for me...you're so good for me."
He lined himself up with your waiting cunt, still seated on the edge of the desk. Slowly, he pushed himself in. Your breath hitching as his width stretched your walls, and he let out a moan as he bottomed out. He kissed and bit at your lips as he paused a moment for you to adjust to him, before starting an even and pace of slow, deep thrusting.
âGod, Iâve thought of this while Iâve fucked my hand so many timesâŚshit. You feel so good around me, baby.â He said in a gruff voice before burying his face into your neck, his teeth looking to leave more bruises.
âMe too.â You whispered. âMmm, fuck me, Jamie.â
âMmm, say that again, love. Say my fucking name.â He groaned, thrusting deeper.
âMmmm, oh god, please fuck me, Jamie.â You moaned into his ear, your hands sliding through his hair, gripping his blonde hair tight as your eyes closed.
In a swift motion, Jamie pushed you down on your back again, pulling your legs up into his arms. His pace quickened, thrusting hard and fast into you from this angle. With your legs open and held up like this, he was hitting exactly where you needed it. He was fucking you like he wanted you to never forget it, and you knew you never would; you could never after this.
âYouâre my fucking girl.â He grunted. âSay it.â He delivered a hard smack to the side of your ass cheek, with your legs still on either side of him. You let out a yelp as his large hand made contact with your soft skin.
âIâm your girl.â You panted. âIâm your girl, Jamie.â
He continued pounding into you. Both of you had long since given up trying to stifle yourselves. You reached down to your clit, circling it with your fingers, looking Jamie directly in the eye. He smiled wickedly with a chuckle as he watched you touch yourself while he fucked you. You felt him twitch inside you, being driven wild at the sight before him.
âFuck, baby...thatâs so sexyâŚI donât think I can last much longer.â He gripped your thighs tight in his hands. âWhere do you want it?â He asked.
âInside.â You moaned. âI have an IUD. I want to feel you cum in me.â You arched your back, feeling a second high approaching.
âOkay. Fuuuck. I-âŚIâm-â
He reached his released, throwing his head back with a string of expletives. You felt his warm, thick seed spill into you, sending you over the edge at the sensation. You clenched around his cock, your body quivering with pleasure. As you both came down from the euphoria, Jamieâs pumping stopped and he stayed still, not yet pulling out of you. He let your legs fall and pulled you back up towards him, his hand sliding up into your hair, while his other hand rested on the small of your back. He placed a delicate kiss on your lips, pulling back as your sweaty foreheads rested together while you both caught your breath.
âWell, I think you passed the exam.â Jamie chuckled.
You laughed. âIâve always been a bit of a teacherâs pet, hm?â
He slowly pulled out of you, reaching over to a roll of paper towels kept near the whiteboard to help with cleanup of the mess you had both made of yourselves and the desk.
âSo⌠Iâm teaching a poetry class next semester.â Jamie began as you finished straightening yourselves and the room up. âIf youâre interested in any further extracurricular activities...â He winked.
âYou know, I just might switch to being an English major. I suddenly really love literature classes.â

Dizzying Thoughts
In Osaka
âUnnie-yah, You ate right? I didnât see you grab anything.â Juno sat down with her full plate in catering. The younger barely missed the leader's wince. Moxyâs face snapped back into a neutral position when Juno looked up.Â
âYeah I had some food earlier.âÂ
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Madrid
âMigyeong-ah, I didnât see you eat today. Youâve had something right?â Soonjae asked her charge while Moxy adjusted her mic.
âI ate a granola bar Unnie. You know how my stomach is before a show. I promise to eat after.â Before Soonjae could respond, The stage director started rehearsal.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Paris
âWhat did you order last night, Gyeongie?â Hannah luckily was lounging on one of the beds in Moxyâs room while the aforementioned leader was finishing up her skincare in the bathroom. Itâs lucky cause Hannah missed the flash of panic that racked thru olderâs body while she thought of an answer.Â
âUhhâŚ..I got aâŚâŚburger?âÂ
âReally?â Hannah sat up, âI got one too but Kenji-oppa never mentioned getting you one too.âÂ
âHe must have gotten mine earlier than you.â Moxy walked out the bathroom, praying her face didnât betray her.
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
The members of AG and their tour crew were crowded around two long tables with piles of food lining each one. The group was celebrating ending the European leg of AGâs tour with a final show in London tonight. While her members and staff sat around talking jovially and devouring the food laid out for them, Moxy sat hunched over. Moving the food around on her plate, illuding that she was eating. But Moxy had been doing quite the opposite for a while now.Â
See, our precious leader has an anxious stomach. Sometimes things get so severe that the sight of food nauseates her. Leading to the rapper going on stage with nothing for her body to feed off of for three hours of vigorous dancing and exhausting singing. Nervousness mostly affects her before big moments in her career. Her first stage of Limitless. The first time she sang You Donât Know Me. Her first recording session for Something Like A Party. You get the point.
It was never something she couldnât manage. Once her worries were disproven, sheâd take the time to eat and everything would be right with the world. Noone would be none the wiser. The first time it got real bad was during 127âs tour, Neo City - The Origin. Moxy was so nervous. Anxious over how each crowd would receive her. Everytime the boys offered her food she shrugged it off, promising to eat later at the hotel. Then sheâd there and a whole new batch of fearful thoughts crept into her brain, taking her appetite with them.Â
This went on for a weeks. Regretfully, all of 127 were just starting to get along. So the boys werenât tuned into Moxy behavior until it was too late. After the group's show in Phoenix, Moxy collapsed as soon as she made it backstage. Nobody had a clue what was wrong so Soonjae made the decision to call an ambulance. She was diagnosed with low blood sugar and was forced to spend the night for observation. The managers knew they had to get to Houston. They all could tell getting them to leave would be like pulling teeth so they rebooked flights. Migyeong got the scolding of her life from Johnny when she came to. She proceeded to get smothered within an inch of her life between the arms of Doyoung and Taeyong.Â
127 had a serious talk about what Moxy had been going through after the next show. Jaehyun and Doyoung paired up on ways to help the rapper get past her nerves before they got on stage and it worked. As the tour went forward, with her members help, Moxy was able to stomach small meals and snacks before performing. Anytime another attack came, she knew her members would be right there to help even when Moxy had to fly back to Korea for AGâs debut.
Before AG left for their tour, Johnny talked to her about keeping up with meals.Â
âIâm seriously Migyeong-ah. I do not want to hear about you fainting while Iâm here and youâre across the country.â Moxy grabbed Johnnyâs hand. She felt the same concerns but she was better now.Â
âIt wonât get to that point and if it does Iâll tell Hannah. You know she doesnât play with any of our health.â Moxy continued to pack. She missed her oppaâs concerned gaze.Â
Now almost a month later and it was worse. Moxy was lucky to fly under Hannah's radar while the second oldest fretted over Aurora and her healing burn. As she looked around at the others happily shoveling food into their mouths, it nauseated her even further. Moxy pushed her plate away, ready to escape the stuffy restaurant into the sweet silence of her hotel room. But her actions caught the attention of her dongsaeng.Â
âUnnie have you even eaten anything? Your plate still looks full.â Juno stole a piece of the elders chicken. The leader had to fight off the look of disgust. Then the question registered in her brain. If Moxy was in an anime, that one sweat drop would be right next to her forehead.Â
âOh! That's just becauseâŚ.. I grabbed more food than I can handle. Donât wanna be too bloated before tomorrow.â She rubbed her stomach to sell the lie.Â
âAre you girls excited?â Soonjae interrupted, âThe crowd last night was crazy. I swear theyâre the loudest weâve heard so far.âÂ
Hannah snorted, âYeah lets hope we donât get another crying session courtesy of Aurora.â Aurora reached out to smack Hannahâs shoulder but the elder ducked out of the way. âYAH! I told you that was because my nanan was in the crowd.â Happy to have the attention off of her, Moxy slumped down in her chair.. The nauseous feeling dulling down. Maybe once she gets to the hotel, sheâd be up to eating something.Â
Yeah, she could do that. Just make it to the hotel.Â
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
That hotel meal didnât happen. After dinner finished, Moxy had every intention of ordering something small but the girls were called to the venue to do some testing and last minute rehearsals. They didnât finish until 3am. By that time, food was the furthest thing from the leaderâs mind. She crashed as soon as her body hit the bed.Â
Breakfast and lunch didnât cross Moxyâs mind either. Even after a flawless show yesterday, Moxy woke up worried. She didnât want to underperform especially when their fans had paid money to see them at their best. The leader went through the motions all day. Time passing in a daze of anxiety. She blinked and the group were being ushered to their places. During the entire opening, Moxy fought off several bouts of blurriness. The rapper was lucky her spots were drilled into her brain. She could find a formation blindfolded.Â
Nobody questioned if something was wrongâŚâŚat least until the dizzy spells started.Â
Come onâŚ.not now⌠Moxy thought as another wave of dizziness washed over her after the girl group cover section. The results of her mistake had been growing and growing all night. Honestly, the stories of adrenaline doing crazy things to the human body was a fact to her now. Moxy had no idea how she made it through this much of the concert with passing out.Â
She couldnât wait until the show was over so she could finally eat.Â
In the middle of the cordi noonaâs helping her change for the next stage, Moxy felt her legs give out for a moment before she caught herself. The noonaâs around her shared a look but Moxy waved them off. âJust lost my balance.â reassuring everyone
Come on girlâŚâŚtwo sets then youâre home free.Â
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Everything was moving in slow motion. Every step felt like it took minutes. Moxy barley felt the hands ripping clothes off and replacing them with the ones she needed for the encore.Â
The noise around her turned into sludge. The rapper was incapable of distinguishing what anyone was saying around her. She didnât even notice when her members surrounded her.Â
âNoona?â
âMoxy..canâŚ..youâŚ..hearâŚâŚâ
âIsâŚ..-thingâŚ..on.âÂ
The world around her felt far away. Like she was floating into a dark abyss. The arenaâs backstage a small box as she lifted off.Â
Moxy didnât even register when she hit the ground.Â
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Her eyes opened to the concerned eyes of Soonjae.Â
Moxyâs brain caught up before her body. The memories of the night coming like photos in her brain. Skipping meals. Feeling sluggish just as the concert started. The dark spots in her vision as she looked out at the thousands of fans. The dizziness giving way to exhaustion finally taking her out. Confusion, recognition then panic rattled through her. She sat up but another sudden wave of dizziness almost sent her back down. Soonjae tried to push her back but Moxy twisted away.Â
The director ran in, âI donât know how much longer we can stall.âÂ
Hannahâs eyes snapped over, anger blasing, âYou better find time. Migyeongâs not awake yet but when she does there's no way sheâs going on stage yet.â
âActually look who's joined us.â At Soonjaeâs voice, three faces snap to Moxyâs place on the couch. All wearing different expressions: one pissed, one of concern and another of relief. They crowded around the leader but instead of assuring them she was ok. Moxy went against Hannahâs words.Â
âYesâŚ.I am.â Moxy was finally able to say after the dizziness faded. She tried getting up but Hannah pinned her with a dark look.Â
âMoxy you just passed out. No way are we performing the encore.â Hannah was ready to argue back but Moxy glared.Â
âGood thing you're not the leader.â Four pairs of arms reached out as Moxy stood up, wobbling a bit in place but quickly steadying herself, âI was only out for a couple minutes. Weâre going out there and finishing this show.â Everyone tried to object but Moxy just held her hand up. âIâll take it easy but we are going out there and thatâs final.â Nobody said anything. Well nobody had the courage to.Â
Hannah, Juno and Aurora worried over the leader's condition but they all knew she wouldnât change her mind. Slowly everyone resumed their tasks. Three women surrounded Moxy to fix her makeup and clothes. Practically erasing the past four minutes from reality.Â
The girls ran to reenter the stage while the music started up for Our Time Is Here. Several mangers followed behind the eldest, making sure she made it to the stage safely. Before Moxy walked out, Soonjae grabbed her hand.Â
âAnswer me one thing? Have you been eating?â Moxyâs silence was answer enough. She couldnât even look Soonjae in the eye.Â
If looks could kill, Moxy wouldnât be walking into a stadium full of cheers from the crowd. Sheâd be in for an earful when they got back to the hotel.

Moxy stayed back to get checked by the doctor while her other members left for the hotel. Maybe I wonât get chewed out tonight Moxy though as the car pulled into the hotel's parking lot. The dread built as she walked through the lobby to the elevators. The leader dragged her body down the hall, feet sliding on the carpeted floor. She swayed on her feet, fumbling with the key to unlock her door.Â
She could feel the embrace of her bed close by but instead of a blissfully cold bed, there sat Hannah with a full bag of food and holding a phone, Moxy sighed knowing what she was in for.
âOppaâs on the phone for you.â Hannah held the phone out for the leader to take.
âTaeyong-oppa?â She said, hopeful.Â
âNoâŚ..Johnny-oppa.â
âShitâŚâ Hopeâs shattered, Moxy plopped down on the chair across from Hannah. The dancer focused on taking out the food while Moxy braced herself for a pissed off Johnny.
âYeobeoseyo?â
â........Thea Marie Thompson.âÂ
âOppa before you startââÂ
âDonât even try it, Thea.â Moxyâs mouth snapped shut. She could feel Johnny's anger through the phone.Â
âI canât believe Iâm talking to you about this. You promised me we would not repeat what happened during Regular promotions. You promised me youâd eat, Thea. But now not only am I getting calls from Soonjae but from Hannah about you passing out and still going back on stage.â Hearing Johnnyâs retelling of what happened tonight made Moxy feel worse than she already did. Maybe things had gotten bad and she just didnât want to acknowledge it.Â
âI did and it wasnât going that far. At least I didnât think it was. IâŚI was only skipping food before the show. I tried to eat after..âŚbut things got hectic. And that's on me. My nerves have been getting to me and I felt like I couldnât stomach anything. So I kept going because I had toâ Both sides of the line were quiet. âIâm sorry for not calling for help.â
âTell me why I shouldnât fly out to make sure youâre eating before every show.âÂ
âHannahâs already got food sitting in front me.â Moxy looked out at the impressive spread Hannah was able to put together between the ending of the show and the car ride to the hotel.Â
âYou should have told Hannah beforehand.âÂ
âI thought I could handle it okay! Iâm not some little kid Johnny. Iâm a young adult who made a mistake and went past her limitsâ She heard Johnny sigh on the other end.
âYouâre rightâŚ..Youâre right you are an adult. But can you blame me for being concerned? Last time this happened, you landed in hospital with no one knowing what was wrong. I never want any of us to go through that again.â Moxy didnât like to think about her last stretch of not eating. All of her memories revolved around the worried looks of the 127 members as they surrounded her hospital bed.Â
âIâm sorry Johnny. I promise to keep a closer watch on my food intake.âÂ
âAnd I promise to help her.â Hannah chimed in, making Johnny and Moxy laugh. âDonât worry oppa, weâll get our leader back on track.â Hannah placed a container of food in front of Moxy and a fork. Before he hung up, Johnny told Hannah to take photo evidence of Moxy eating and send it to him. To ease his worries.Â
Moxy finally dug into the delicious food Hannah had ordered. Itâs not weird to cry over really good food, right?
âSo what happens?â Hannah asked between bites.Â
âWhat do you mean?âÂ
âWhen it feels like you canât eat. What runs through your head.â Moxy blew a raspberry trying to think of how to answer that.
âI guessâŚ.I overthink about everything. The performance and my vocals. I want everything to be perfect for the fans. I donât want to disappoint them. Those thoughtsâŚ..they run through my brain like a hamster wheel. I get overwhelmed then my stomach gets queasy. You know what happens next.â Moxy took another bite of her food.Â
The members of 127 set up a code word to help Moxy through these anxious moments. Code: Underwater. Anytime her emotions took over, Moxy could text one of the members at any time. They in turn would help calm her down and get a couple bites of food down in Moxyâs system. The more she thought about it. The more the truth behind her regression became apparent. She was AGâs leader. Calling her older members for help with her anxiety felt like she was being a baby. Someone that wasnât fit to lead a team, especially when they were away from home.Â
âNow, you got me to help. And anytime you feel nervous like that Iâll remind you that youâre a beast and one of the best leaders around.â Hannah shook her shoulders, getting a smile on her face.Â
Luckily, she has the greatest members on the planet. Who would never think less of her for having anxieties.Â
âEven if you made a mistake you could never disappoint anyone. Not us and much less the fans, okay?â Moxy nodded. It would be difficult reaching out at first. But she never wanted to worry her members again. Not when it can be stopped beforehand. Taking Hannahâs words to heart, The oldest began to eat with earnest, savoring every bite.Â
As they ate, Aurora and Juno joined them with their own food. The four of them crowded around the small table, sharing what they had between them. Moxy knew the younger two wanted to be close after she scared them today.Â
The members decided to screw bedtime and just stay up. They scrolled through instagram, played music, danced and even caught up with some of the members. They all needed a night like this. After all, the tour just started. AG had a long way to go.Â

Really long vent that I just needed to write out somewhere, tw for long term depression and suicidal thoughts
Sometimes nostalgic songs are painful because a lot of my favorite songs as a child were sad. In middle school I listened to a lot of Jonathan Colton. I always thought it was because I hyperfixated on Portal, which it partially was, but I was drawn to a lot of the songs about feeling sad. The mudanity that came with doing the same thing day in and day out, of not feeling like you belonged.
I think I've been depressed since I was very young. The first song I played on the guitar was Eleanor Rigby. Whenever I was sad as a kid, I would think of digging myself a while and burying myself in it until the world faded away. The first time I remember being suicidal was when I was 11, and a pop-up for a helpline appeared when I looked up the tallest bridge in my city. I made a promise to myself at that age. No matter how much pain I was in, no matter how much I hurt myself, I would never hurt anyone else. In my head, this included hurting people by telling them what I was feeling. For years I used to cry to myself at night, unwilling to tell my parents what was wrong because I didn't want to hurt them. They were already dealing with so much hurt from their parents already that I didn't want to make things worse. My mom always said G-d gives you what you can handle, and she must not have been able to handle a lot because I was an easy kid. I didn't have a lot of friends at school and I was very moody, but atleast I could convince myself I wasn't a burden in one aspect.
By the time I was in 8th grade, I knew I was depressed. I stuck by the promise I made, even though I shouldn't have. In highschool, my reasoning turned from fear of being a burden to full on paranoia. News about school shooters being mentally ill were everywhere, jokes about the depressed kid showing up with a gun. I didn't want to hurt anyone. I didn't want my classmates or teachers to be scared of me, so I tried to hide my depression from my teachers and classmates. I started having nightmares about someone finding out and being institutionalized for the rest of highschool. When I was 15, I almost killed myself. I got really scared at the last minute and self harmed instead, telling my mom I cut myself while shaving. She didn't ask any questions, she just helped me stop the bleeding. Sometimes I wish she would have. I spent the rest of highschool avoiding the guidance counselors as much as possible. And when I was really at my limit, when I didn't think I would be able to function anymore at age 16 and decided I was either gonna do something drastic or finally get help, the pandemic started. My anxiety about "being found out" was now fueled into health anxiety, fears of dying every night due to some unknown side effect of getting Covid. Of having a heart attack. Of my parents getting sick and dying. It only intensified after one of my teachers died suddenly.
This lasted until I started college. My first semester, I enrolled in my college's counseling services. My whole childhood, I told myself as soon as I got out of my parents house and became an adult I would get better. I would do the therapy, take the medication, and fix myself and everything would be fine. And then, it didn't work. My therapist spent the whole session talking about study techniques I could never get myself to keep up for more than a few weeks. Then I got news that my grandpa was gonna die, at the same time as I had a falling out with my friend group, and I became suicidal again. At that point I still occasionally couldn't sleep due to health anxiety and couldn't drive due to general anxiety, so my parents offered to pay for private counseling.
I've been in therapy for a year and a half now and have learned some of my mental health issues are due to emotional abuse. But I still have anxiety attacks and panic attacks regularly. And I'm still passively suicidal, sometimes actively. I had to call the suicide prevention three times during the last two months of this past semester.
And I'm feeling better now, no longer passively suicidal most days even, but I think I'm still scared at how close I got and sad about how I'm still depressed after all this time. My whole life I wanted to get better. I wanted to be able to say to my younger self that having hope was worth it, that everything would get better, but I don't know if I can accurately say that. I'm glad I stayed alive, but I don't know if I can really say I've learned to deal with my depression. I think I've just gotten more used to it as my default.
I don't know how to get better. I think I can, eventually, but I don't even remember what not being depressed feels like and even that uncertainty scares me.
And I feel like I'm mourning having depression a lot of my childhood. I mourn that kid who dealt with all of those feelings alone, who felt like she had to. I mourn who I could have grown up to be if I hadn't grown up that way. And I don't know who I should be now. But I hope that there's an older version of myself looking back at me the same way I look back at that kid and saying that we got better, that we made it, and that it's worth sticking around.

The detail survey!
You should answer all the questions with detail.
In detailâŚhow did you meet your crush/boyfriend/lover/etc.: Sorry to miss the point of this survey right off the bat lol, but I donât have anyone special at the moment. Maybe itâs a realization that I got a little bit too late, maybe itâs the self-love that Iâm trying to nurture and protect these days, maybe itâs trauma, quite frankly it might just be my asexuality coming into play, but I quite like being on my own.
In detailâŚwhat are you wearing? I have on a gray sweatshirt and the pajama shorts from a pajama set I have. The top Iâve actually had on all day (it was what I put on this morning, when we were still in Tanay), and just didnât feel the need to change out of since Iâve been cold this entire time. Iâll switch to a new top tomorrow morning before work so I donât feel icky.
In detailâŚwhat are you doing tomorrow? I have work tomorrow and I imagine Iâll be pretty busy and on do-not-disturb mode at home since Monday is typically the most hectic and exhausting day of the week; as for specifics, I do have three meetings already slated for the day â that can always change though. Jiminâs collab with Taeyang is coming out tomorrow afternoon too so at least I have something to look forward to! Iâm already expecting to zone out of work for around a half hour or so so that I can properly listen to the song and fangirl a bit with friends. Lastly, I do have a client pitch on Tuesday so I should spend some time practicing my lines and slides.
In detailâŚwhat did you do today? This morning I woke up still in our accommodation in Tanay â this quaint, quiet spot in the middle of the mountains and streams and nature, with domes for rooms. Itâs basically a place thatâs meant for you to disconnect from the world; wifi was weak and every single spot was devoid of mobile signal, and no TV in the room either.Â
I had pancakes and a couple of hotdogs for breakfast (super good!), then my sister and I stayed in our room right after since it was raining all morning. We had already spent so much saliva the day before just talking and playing whatever random game we could think of (again, weak wifi and no signal) lol, but this morning our Gen Z asses couldnât take it anymore so I finally opened YouTube and pulled her to watch a few episodes of Watcherâs Dish Granted with me hahaha even though each video took ages to load. By noon we had checked out, and was on the road for 2-3 hours. Before going home though we headed to this Singaporean place where I had laksa and a few sticks of street food; right after that we picked up the dogs from the local dog hotel, and then FINALLY we were on our way home. Spent a few hours watching BTS content, and maybe around a half hour catching up on work backlog, and now Iâm here doing this survey before I turn in.
In detailâŚwhat did you do/will you do on your birthday? For my last birthday I spent it mostly at home and didnât really do anything other than lie on the couch and, surprise surprise!, watch BTS stuff. I received a bucket hat from Bea, a shirt (and a couple of vape pods, because they know me so well lmao) from Andi, and a Starbucks drink from my former co-worker that day. That evening, I took my family out for ramen to celebrate.Â
Then that same weekend, my friends and I went to Zambales as a little treat I had for them â it was also our first beach outing since pre-pandemic so we were all excited about that. In the evening, Hans and I had a drinking game while watching his brotherâs live volleyball game, I took a few shots of gin from this other group who was having a jamming session, and basically I ended up wasted enough that I stumbled while walking down some steps and sprained my left ankle. Friends had to carry me to bed where I fell asleep immediately, then the next morning another group caught me limping and ever so generously offered to nurse my foot hahaha.
In detailâŚhow does your best friend look like? She has big brown eyes, rosy cheeks, and a beauty mark on the left side of her face, a little bit above her cheekbone. She currently has brown highlights with her black hair, which stops just right underneath her collarbones. She has a semi-slim build and is slightly taller than me.
In detail⌠what was your last kiss like? Who was it with? It was with my ex-partner when she visited me briefly during the peak of the pandemic. Letting other people in your home raised alarm bells at the time so we spent the whole time outside, just chatting and catching up. On the kiss, I believe it had been a simple goodbye peck, happening right before she left. I donât even know why she visited and how our parents allowed us to hang out given the situation?? I think she came to show me her new car or something like that. Idk. My memoryâs been doing a fantastic job erasing memories of her that I donât even know if this account is still accurate at all.
In detailâŚhow was your first kiss this year? I have not had a kiss in 2023. Or 2022 or 2021, for that matter.
In detailâŚwhat are you looking forward to? The soonest thing would be the theatrical screening of the Busan concert! Itâs happening in cinemas worldwide, including the Philippines, so Iâm just super excited to still be able to be excited about something BTS-related given that they are on hiatus and that the boys are enlisting in the military one by one. Iâve already been briefing my friends to go for the Feb 4 screening since thatâs when theyâll be having that worldwide lightstick event where I believe all of the Army Bombs will be synced for the screenings happening that day.
In detailâŚhow long have you been with your boyfriend? I donât have a significant other.
In detailâŚhow does your best female friend look like? I already described her the best way I could a few questions ago.
In detailâŚwhen did you first listen the song you are listening to? Thatâs a good question. I have no idea, but I imagine it must have been around May or June of 2021 right when I was starting to dig deeper into the BTS black hole. Itâs an unreleased song and a solo of one of the members (Winter Bear), and Iâm guessing my first encounter with it came a little after going through the bandâs ~official discography.
In detailâŚwhat are you doing besides this? Iâm going to sleep, man. I earned it lmao. I canât wait to pass out tonight.
In detailâŚwhy are you doing this? Because nobody else asks these questions in a normal conversation, and itâs helpful to have an outlet where you can, like, unload for the day or answer questions that can sometimes lead you to new discoveries about yourself. Itâs a journal, essentially.
In detailâŚwhat were you doing before this? I was working and finalizing the last few slides in my upcoming pitch presentation so that I donât have to worry as much about it anymore tomorrow. I also played with the dogs for a little bit and let them play with one another. In detailâŚwhy did you take the last pic you took? I took it because Cooper and Agi were in such a hilarious position during their playtime and I didnât want to miss out on taking a photo of it. Usually Cooper is the one who ends up on his back while Agi messes with him, but this evening it was Agi lying down with Cooper sniffing him all over. Immediately took a bunch of photos because that never happens between the two.
In detailâŚwho was the last person you hugged and why? Dev. It was just a goodbye hug, nothing more to it. I guess I do hug her harder than my other co-workers; she lost her mom (and her only parent) last year, so I have a natural instinct to look out for her and to basically be softer and more caring, even protective, around her.
In detailâŚdid you like this survey? It was fun, thanks!

What about nobody knows their secretly dating, but theyâre always flirting. So one day all of their Friends are at a club and y/n gets on the dance floor and starts twerking and Harry comes up behind her and starts grinding and tapping her ass and all there friends are whistling.
This Little Secret Of Ours.
A/N: hiii! I made this into a best friends brother! Harry blurb and I also changed a few things. I hope you donât mind! Enjoyyy !!
**I will be getting around to all your requests in the next few days, please be patient !! Thank you !! **
Warnings: suggestive content, mature language, alcohol consumption, Harry is a cheeky lil shit.
It started when Y/N was nineteen and Harry was turning twenty one. It was never meant to happen, but what could she do? She was attracted to him, and he was to her.
They have a connection that you cannot look past no matter how hard it would be for them to be together, they needed to make it work.
And they did, theyâve hid it from everyone for nearly two years now. No one even suspects the pair is together, they never leave anyone have any suspicion on if they might be together. They even go as far as having some little fake argument just to keep up the âwe hate one anotherâ image in front of all of their friends â Y/Nâs best friend being in that friend group, Harryâs sister.
The only way that this works between the two, is because Harry has his own flat, he bought it recently and Y/N as basically moved in, sheâs rarely at her shared flat with her other best friend â always saying she was visiting family for days at a time, but she was really hiding out in Harryâs small one bedroom studio apartment together, cuddled up under blankets away from the world.
Every Friday their friend group has a tradition: they all meet up at the local night club and catch up on their lives, talk about their week, have some drinks and just have fun. As theyâre older, their lives are getting more hectic and they have less time together, so this little meet up each week gives them the chance to feel like teens again.
Today is like every other Friday, Y/N is in Harryâs getting ready, the pair fighting over the one bathroom, Harry running in ahead of her for a shower as she âtakes too longâ and she âhas to shave her bits and bobs!â And it âtakes for ages!â Y/N always fires back with her usual response: âyouâve long hair too! You donât see me complaining when you take ten years to apply your hair masks and then give two washes of it all!â
That small argument happened nearly an hour ago, Harry laughed back and slammed the bathroom door in her face as she stands in only his bath robe, her towels in hand along with a new packet of razors she picked up on her way over here. She rolls her eyes and huffs turning around to head back into his bedroom.
âMight want to give it twenty minutes mâlove, I used up all the hot waterâ Harry says calmly, walking out of the steamy bathroom in only a towel slung around his waist and another towel drying the ends of his long curls. Y/N looks up from her phone, her eyes narrow as they only have three hours to get to the club.
âThis is why I go first!â She yells out, flopping down onto the bed in annoyance at her boyfriend whoâs laughing while running some curl cream through his wet locks, his eyes focused on himself in the mirror.
âGives you twenty minutes to have some Harry time!â He says wiping the residue of curl cream into his towel, his smile wide as she looks at him from where sheâs laying on his bed, her lips in a pout and her brows furrowed in anger.
âI had plenty of Harry time this week, you were like a kid! Barely got any time to even pee!â She yells as Harry just laughs at her angry self, loving how cute she looks when her lips pout and her eyes roll with her pretty eyelashes framing them. He adores her, all of her.
The twenty minutes is spent by Y/N being tickled by Harry as she yelled and laughed loudly while he teased her for being ticklish, her body squirming on the bed as he hovered above her with his fingers tickling her ribcage causing her to loose control of her whole body and melt into a puddle of flailing limbs and loud screeches. Harry eventually let up his tickling, allowing Y/N to finally shower and start to get ready. Heâs currently sat on his bed, ready to go in his black and white silk button up, black skinny jeans and some black leather boots. Y/N is currently curling her hair and applying some makeup as she stands in her outfit: a simple black silk dress with black heels.
âLook so beautiful mâheart, love the sparkly straps on your shoesâ he points out when sheâs finally ready, Harry sliding his phone into his back pocket to get a closer look at his girl, his hands snaked around her waist as he pulls back to rake his eyes up and down her body carefully, his lip between his teeth as he observes her.
âThank you H, you donât look too bad yourself. New shirt?â She asks reaching up and tugging on the collar a little, only three buttons done up on the whole shirt leaving his tattooed chest to show through with his many necklaces â what was more eye catching was how sheer the fabric was, allowing his butterfly and other tattoos to be visible when light is shined onto him.
âBought it last week, more sheer than I thought but hey, who doesnât want a front row seat to the nipple show? Huh?â He asks shaking his chest at Y/N, her eyes rolling as she slaps his chest playfully as he pulls her in for a kiss.
âCanât kiss you until weâre back here, which wonât be for like, God knows how many hoursâ He mumbles against her lips as they kiss one another passionately and slowly, their hands roaming one anotherâs bodies as they take in every detail of each other.
âYou always take me into the bathroom for a quick fuck or a make out session, donât act like you donât do thatâ she fires back with a tug to his bottom lip with her own teeth, a groans escaping his chest at her action, his hands squeezing her ass a little as he pulls her more into him.
âKeep talking like that and we arenât going anywhere babyâ he says lowly, his tongue licking over her bottom lip as she smiles against his lips, her hands roaming his chest, then his stomach and then down to his crotch, giving him a tight squeeze when she feels how hard heâs getting, Harry lets out an involuntary moan at the feeling, his hips pushing into her palm as she licks over his bottom lip slowly as she goes.
âCome on big boy, we have somewhere to beâ she says pulling away, fixing her dress and wiping her lipgloss from Harryâs lips, her eyes looking at him innocently as if she didnât just tease him and get him hard two seconds ago. He groans as she grabs her handbag, throwing a wink over her shoulder at him as she trots towards the front door of the apartment.
âYou coming?â
âUnfortunately noâ he says sighing, looking down at his erection in his tight skinny jeans, Y/N rolling her eyes at what he means.
âHarry, get out into the cabâ she says tapping her foot against the floors, her phone buzzing with messages from the Uber driver that heâs outside and not waiting any longer than five minutes.
âFineâ he sighs, grabbing his house keys and sulking his way towards the cab, Y/N apologising for the delay and Harry just pouting like a toddler beside her as they head off to their night out with all their friends.
â
The night has gone smoothly, Harry and Y/N sitting at opposite ends of the table theyâre all sharing in the booth, their eyes catching one anotherâs every few minutes but their slight eye fucking flies under the radar due to how dull it is in the club. Their friends are chatting, laughing and singing as they all sip their drinks and talk about nonsense, Y/N being dragged into conversation about how her job as a florist is going by her best friend Jada, while Harry is dragged into a conversation by their friend Chase about nonsense due to his drunken state â Chase loves to pre drink and now heâs drunk as fuck.
Harry is nodding and smiling along to Chaseâs words, his fingers fiddling with his beer coaster in boredom, all he wants to do is have drunken chats with Y/N about nonsense like they usually do when they drink at Harryâs place, the pair having a bottle of wine each as they dish out random facts and stories from their childhoods and Harryâs one year long college experience â he dropped out because he couldnât handle not being around Y/N, she was too far away from him and plus, his dorm mate was a nightmare.
Heâs brought out of his small daydream of half listening to Chase while also mumbling along to the words of the song thatâs blasting through the speakers in the packed nightclub, by his phone buzzing in his back pocket, he takes it out and keeps it under the table on his lap, looking down to see a notification from Y/N. He doesnât look up as he opens it, his eyes widen at what the message says.
Y/N: mind if I shake my ass on the dance floor?
Harry: donât you dare, your ass is mine and mine only. Donât think about it baby love.
He looks up to see her looking at him, her lip between her teeth as she locks her phone, him mirroring their actions as they stop their small conversation. Her eyes are dark with lust, a tug pulling at the corners of her lips as she leans over to whisper into Jadaâs ear. Harry watches her like a hawk, legs spread under the table, arms crossed over his chest and his head thrown back against the wall of the booth as he narrows his eyes at his girlfriend, her own challenging smile getting thrown back right at him.
Jada is the first to move, then Lola and then Y/N, leaving Harry at the other side being sandwiched between Chase and Niall, Niall is currently on the phone trying to speak to his landlord about a busted pipe in his house, but instead of going outside he insists to stay in here, he has a massive fear of missing out. Thatâs Niall for you. Harry watches Y/N like a hawk, his eyes never leaving her body as she holds onto both Jada and Lolaâs hands, their smiles wide and they mouth along to the words of the song,
Her eyes are on him every now and then, her hips swaying as she dances with her friends, others around them dancing aswell as Harry doesnât take his eyes off his girl on the floor, the lights flashing about and illuminating her every now and then as she moves to the beat of the song.
Harryâs eyes almost pop out of their sockets when he sees her bend over and begin to shake her hips, causing her ass to jiggle about as Lola and Jada spur her on, slapping her ass a little as she laughs loudly, looking over to Harry whoâs now stalking his way to the dance floor, pushing past the crowd of people. Jada nearly slaps Harry when he picks Y/N up by her waist, flinging her over his shoulder as she laughs loudly, Harry shaking her head as barely anyone on the floor recognises whatâs happening due to how dark it is, Jada and Lola following hot on Harryâs heels as he carries their best friend like a sack of potatoes back to the booth.
âWhat was that for?!â Jada yells slapping her brothers chest and bicep, her brows furrowed in anger as Harry now holds Y/N close to him his hands around her waist as they both look at Jada with small smiles.
âShe was showing off whatâs mineâ Harry says with a smile, looking down at Y/N who scrunches up her nose with laughter, pecking his lips lightly as they both finally get to show love to another in public, in front of everyone.
âI knew it!â Niall yells nearly falling over the table, Chase whistling and clapping as he nearly passes out due to how much heâs moving right now.
âOnly because I told you!â Lola fires at Niall who rolls his eyes looking at them all, Jada stood beside the pair not knowing what to say.
âWe all had a feeling, we were just waiting for you both to say something; thereâs only so many times weâll believe your bra just some how ended up in Harryâs carâ Jada says rolling her eyes with a smile, Y/N burying her face in Harrys chest in embarrassment over the story.
Jada hugs the two, immediately running up to order a round of shots in celebration of the new couple â well, not that new, but now theyâre officially together in the eyes of everyone else. They couldnât be happier and they couldnât be more grateful that Jada didnât lose her shit.
âGuess this little secret of ours is out, huh?â He whispers to her, her smile wide as she looks up at him with her arms slung around his neck holding him close.
âI guess so, boyfriendâ

Event Masterlist
Warnings: Modern AU, Past cheating (not from Porco), a tiny bit of sadness, happy ending, pet names (babe)
Pounding music poured from the Bluetooth speaker in the middle of the room. The whole regular gang had gathered for Reiner's birthday. While Reiner wasn't the standard party boy, your boyfriend and his brother had schemed together to throw a big party at the house you all shared with them.Â
Reiner had vehemently told them no over and over, but Porco and Marcel would hear none of it. They instead spent a week stocking up on booze, and cheap party favors for the "big day." It was sweet to see them so excited to throw Reiner a party, even though you knew it was more for them. They were the social ones in the group, never failing in their words when meeting new people.Â
That initially drew you to the cocky blonde in the first place. Porco came up to you at the coffee shop where you were studying with Reiner for your history course and literally pushed his way into your life. You could still remember how he plopped down next to you on the too-small couch and introduced himself as a friend of Reinerâto which the other man groaned aloud, obviously not agreeing with the statement.
He stayed longer than necessary at the coffee shop, made idle conversations with you and made you giggle at the stupid stories he had about Reiner from childhood. By the end of the study session, the two of you had exchanged numbers, and the rest was history.Â
Although it had only been ten months since the two of you made things official, you had to admit he was the best relationship you've ever had. To put it nicely, your last relationship was toxic. Your previous boyfriend was insistent on controlling you and cheated on you by the end of the relationship. It had broken your heart, and you promised not to date for a long time.
That was until Porco came into your life. He was hot-headed like you, and the two of you could go back and forth for ages, but he always made it right in the end. Coming back after, he cooled off to apologize with freshly made cookies he spent the last thirty minutes making for you. Porco loved profoundly and gave you every single bit of that love. You never had to question yourself anymore or wonder if he was only using you to make someone jealous. Instead, he made you feel confident and sure of yourself. Enough so that you had only mentioned your past relationship in passing. You didn't ever think you would see your infamous ex again.
But how wrong you were, if only you had known that his friend Sasha was a good friend of Reiner. As the last bits of pastel blue streamers were being set up, the doorbell chimed, and guests started pouring in. There were a few familiar faces, Bertolt, Annie, and Zeke. But your anxiety started to pick up when new faces began to filter in.Â
A girl around Reiner's age with chocolate brown hair swept it up into a ponytail and made her way straight to the food area without even introducing herself. A guy with a buzzed head followed closely behind her, apologizing for her lack of introduction. He introduced himself as Connie and the woman as Sasha. You made small talk with mostly Connie as Sasha literally shoved an entire bag of chips in her mouth.
More people arrived, and your anxiety finally seemed to settle as you watched Porco begin to set up beer pong. He looked so good in his tight green t-shirt that perfectly hugged his biceps. You were so caught up in watching him try to entice Reiner to play a round that you missed the new arrivals.Â
Panic sat deep in your veins as a familiar voice boomed in your ears. "Hey! Connie! I didn't know you'd be here."Â
No, no, no. Is all that went through your mind as you stood frozen in place. If you turned around, you would see him. And he could be here with her. You decided you couldn't do this. They were here in your safe space.
As you steeled your nerves to make a run toward the bathroom, your worst fears came true.
"Well, well, I haven't seen you in a hot minute," his voice was cocky, and you were sure he had a stupid smirk on your face. Could I just punch him? The thought flashed through your mind, but you didnât want to ruin all this hard work your boyfriend did. You gave yourself a mental pep-talk to say hello and then find Porco. Maybe the asshole would leave you alone then.Â
You turned around and plastered a fake grin repeating to yourself that this was for Porco. And there he stood, long brown hair pulled up into a bun, green eyes on fire, and, of course, with his arm slung around Mikasa. Your stomach lurched, and bile rose in your throat.
"Hey, Eren," you paused because you didn't have a cheerful greeting for him. Go fuck yourself, is the only thing that came to mind, but again you needed to do this for Porco. "Thanks for coming. I uh-need to find my boyfriend," you mumbled before moving away as quickly as possible. You didn't care if your excuse sounded stupid. You didn't want to spend extra time around that asshole and the girl he cheated on you with. Â
Instead of running to the bathroom, you moved over by the beer pong game. Porco was unsuccessful in having Reiner play because he was going head-to-head with Marcel. And he was apparently losing horribly by his attitude. "Ah fuck you, Marcel! That was a cheap shot!" He bellowed at his brother.Â
You tried to get into their banter and block out the negative presence in your space, but your mind buzzed with all the heartache and pain you endured. With every minute, you nudged closer and closer to Porco until your hand rested on his arm. You needed comfort but didn't want to ask for it. You were being stupid, you thought. This was so dumb to get so upset about this.Â
"Almost done, babe," Porco murmured, his focus still on beating his brother as he patted your hand with his larger one. But your mind wouldn't stop; it just kept replaying memory after memory. Â
"I think I'm going to go lie down," you whispered before hurrying to Porcoâs bedroom. You couldn't take being in the same room anymore as your ex.
Within moments of laying down on the soft sheets, you buried your head in Porco's pillow, inhaling his familiar scent as tears began to flow. You're too caught up in the moment; you didnât even hear the door to the room open and close as someone slipped in.Â
A familiar presence perched itself on the bed, and a warm hand rubbed your back. "Hey, hey, what's going on? I'm sorry I was so caught up in the game. What do you need?" Porco's voice was filled with concern as he gently rubbed your back.Â
You lifted your head from the pillow to look up at him, his hazel eyes filled with worry. You told him about your ex downstairs through sniffles and that he had brought the girl he cheated on you with.Â
A heavy sigh leaves your boyfriend, and you can tell he held back the urge to grab Eren by the collar and give him a piece of his mind. Â
"God, babe. I'm sorry for not realizing it sooner. You needed me, and I was so focused on a stupid game," his voice is laced with remorse as he pulls you onto his lap and cradled you into his difined chest. "You want me to throw that fucker out?"
You giggled at his attempt to make you feel better. "Thank you, but no, that would ruin the night for everyone."Â Â
"I don't care about everyone! I care about you, say the word, and he's gone. Banned forever. But we can also go down there and make him jealous, if you know what I mean," he says in a devious tone as his eyebrows waggle. "It's only fair to let him know he lost the best thing in the world."
You laughed louder this time as you wiped away your tears. "Thank you for making me feel better. You know what, let's go see what you have in mind," you responded before leaning and pressing a quick kiss on Porco's lips.   Â
"Anything for you, babe," Porco returned your kiss with another before lifting you up off the bed and carrying you out of the room as you were overcome by giggles.Â
Thanks for reading!

Request: Imagine being Lin Beifongâs daughter and having a crush on Iroh II
Tags: @tincdraws
Growing up as the daughter of Lin Beifong metal and earth bending were your whole life. You learnt to earth bend by the time you could walk and your mother had you in training from a young age so you graduated from the earth bending school at the top of your class with your eyes firmly set on following in your motherâs footsteps whilst also trying to emulate your grandmotherâs success. You had a sharp focus and nothing else really caught your attention. You had friends but training came first and dating seemed something superficial you could live without. Republic city was your life and you would never dream of leaving it but your mother had other ideas.
Your mother thought you needed more worldly experience before you joined the police force so she sent you to the fire nation to gain some training as an officer. She claimed the fire nation had some of the best officers in the world and that they would help you learn invaluable real-life experience. You did not agree and protested the whole thing. All your training had revolved around the needs of Republic City specifically and you couldnât see how youâd learn anything new about how to protect your city by travelling all the way to fire nation but your mother refused to change her mind and that was that.
So you were shipped off to the fire nation fresh out of the academy. Your mother had spoken to Firelord Izumi and it was agreed youâd be staying at the palace so not only would you be unfamiliar with the environment, youâd be in a place where every small look, word or action had large consequences. You didnât know much about the fire nation and couldnât really recall the royal family. You were aware your grandmother was very close with the late Firelord Zuko but since then things had changed. Although your grandmotherâs friends (mainly Katara) had tried to keep the group close it was hard with everyone scattered across the four nations and so with each generation the group had drifted further and further apart. You knew Firelord Izumi had a daughter older than you and a son around your age called Iroh. You recalled meeting Iroh when you were younger at some event in the south pole but couldnât remember much more than a serious fire nation child. So you arrived on the steps of the palace utterly out of your depth determined to see these three months through so you could return to your beloved city. You were shown into the palace immediately, your belongings taken by maids who refused to let you carry them yourself as you were a royal guest. You werenât used to finery so proceeded through the palace partly in awe and partly in utter confusion why someone needed this many paintings of old men everywhere. You were finally shown into a large room. âAh you must be y/n Beifongâ a voice called and you turned to see someone who looked vaguely familiar. You knew he wasnât Firelord Zuko or Firelord Izumiâs husband as he was too young so figured by his royal outfit this was Izumiâs second child the prince. âPrince Iroh, itâs an honour to see you againâ you said bowing and he chuckled âI bet you thought that would be a winning line with any fire nation citizen didnât you? Because weâre still all obsessed with honour like we were centuries ago?â Iroh asked and you hesitated. âIf I caused any offence...â you started but Iroh cut you off breaking out in a large smile âno I was only kidding, it is a winning line we are still obsessed with honourâ. You watched as Iroh laughed at his own joke surprised, you didnât expect the prince of the fire nation to be like this. You figured royalty lacked the ability or the clearance to have a sense of humour but apparently not. âSo have I really not changed since we were eight?â Iroh asked and when you frowned he elaborated âyou recognised me but the last time we met was just over ten years agoâ. You paused âow no I didnât actually recognise you, you were young, dressed in fine clothes with royal hairpins, not to mention youâre in the palace...you had to be the princeâ. âGood deductions officerâ Iroh said saluting you before he grinned âiâm in training tooâ. That piqued your interest âreally? for the fire nation army?â. He nodded âyep! Iâm an officer but my hope is to be general one day and to fully earn it, rather than just get it because of who my family is...hopefully in a few years iâll get thereâ. âIâm sure you willâ you agreed and Iroh led you into a large dining room. âAre we dining alone?â you asked confused and Iroh smirked. âWhy? Not pleased with me?â he asked and you rushed to assure him that wasnât the case when he laughed again âIâm joking again y/n, I know my grandfather told you the whole family would be dining with you in his letter to your mother but he, my parents and sister were all called away to an urgent matter and asked me to fill in as weâre similar agesâ. âOwâ you nodded âthat makes sense...is everything okay?â. Iroh nodded âeverythingâs fine just boring fire nation stuff...so shall we?â he asked holding out his arm to you. You werenât sure if this was appropriate so averted your eyes and only took his arm lightly. Iroh smirked at your caution and led you into the room.
The meal with Iroh was nice. He was friendly, hard-working and interesting. You soon got used to his humour and learnt not to take him too seriously. You hadnât met many other people your age who shared your passion for a military career and found it was nice, a sentiment Iroh apparently shared. He enquired what you were doing the rest of the week and when you replied nothing as training didnât start for another week he soon had several of your days planned out with fire nation sights to show you. Iroh seemed to understand you didnât know much about the fire nation so planned to take you to all the important sites as well as areas relevant to the army to peak both your interests. You enjoyed the princeâs tours greatly and even when training did start you continued meeting with Iroh regularly. You liked his company and were surprised that didnât fade the more time you spent with him, if anything it grew more and more. You thought heâd be a spoilt entitled prince but he was kind and considerate pleasantly surprising you.
You didnât become aware that you liked Iroh as anything more until one of your friends at the academy pointed it out. Since starting training you were progressing well, you achieved high grades and were held in high esteem by your fellow recruits. You had made some friends and often trained with them after the academy retired for the day. After a long training session you were heading to the palace when one of your friends called out to you âhey y/n some of us were going into town to celebrate our classâs good progress, do you want to come?â. You smiled pleased they wanted you to come when you remembered you couldnât go âIâd love to Shani but sorry I canât I have plansâ. âOf course you doâ she smirked as your other friend Aizori grinned âis it with Iroh by any chanceâ. âActually it isâ you said frowning at their shared look âwhy?â. âOw nothing just itâs not every day your friend is dating the crowned princeâ. âMe and Iroh are not dating!â you cried âour families are old friends thatâs allâ. âUh...hu, if thatâs true then what are your plans together may we ask?â. âWeâre attending a party at the palaceâ. âTogether?â Shani asked and you blushed âyes but he only asked me because itâs a formal event thatâs apparently really boring so he wanted a friend there, trust me weâre not datingâ. âBut how can you resist?â Aizori asked âIâve only seen the prince a handful of times but he seems to get better looking every single time! How donât you get lost in those golden eyes and that chiselled jaw? The royal family has some amazing genes not even a Beifong can resistâ. You paused considering it. For you looks werenât very important so you didnât tend to notice them. You held work ethic and determination as much higher priorities and Iroh scored very highly in both but in looks...you honestly couldnât say. âIâm not sure Iâve noticedâ you admitted and the girls rolled their eyes not believing you.
When you arrived back at the palace your friendâs words were ringing in your head and when you next saw Iroh something felt different. You took note of his looks and were surprised by what youâd found. Iroh was attractive, very attractive, how had you missed that? You stared at Iroh wondering if his eyes had always been that bright? Was his jaw always that sharp? His hair that good regularly when he frowned âwhy are you staring at me?â. âNothingâ you cried and he paused before shrugging âAre you ready to go?â he asked âthe party has already startedâ offering you his arm. You nodded and took it cautiously following Iroh into the ballroom.
You could see why Iroh had wanted to invite you, everyone in the room was at least 60 years old or some stiff nobel person from an ancient line of fire nation families. All they seemed to want to discuss was old family bloodlines, territories or ancient traditions. After your fifth boring ambush by some old fire nation man Iroh pointedly headed for the gardens. You frowned as he exited discreetly, closing the door behind him, and headed away from the hall. âIroh Iâm pretty sure the party is insideâ you commented and Iroh grinned âI know but I canât take another second in there so humour me? One lap of the gardens then weâll head back, please? I know you havenât seen them properly yet so how about a tour?â Iroh holding out his hand to you. You rolled your eyes but took his hand happily.Â
Iroh led you around the gardens explaining the different flora to you and their history. âI spent so many parties hiding in here as a kidâ he grinned âthis place is so huge they couldnât find me for hoursâ. You smiled at the thought âmy mother wouldâve killed me if I did thatâ. âMine didâ Iroh chuckled âbut Iâd honestly rather face her wrath than some boring commander who wants to lecture me about our familyâs history and why itâs so important...theyâre literally my own family and even I donât careâ Iroh cried making you smile. âI see why you escaped out here so often, Iâm very grateful formal parties were not a part of my childhoodâ. Iroh smiled and went to comment when the smile was wiped from his face and he grabbed you, quickly pushing you behind a large fern. âIroh what are you...â. âShhh theyâve come for usâ he hissed and you frowned when you heard a voice. âPrince Iroh?â a man you recognised as the palace coordinator called âAre you out here? Youâre needed insideâ. You smirked and Iroh rolled his eyes âtheyâre relentlessâ. Â âMaster Iroh if youâre out there please return to the ballroom, your motherâs ordersâ. There was silence and then the sound of the butler coming closer. Your eyes widened and Iroh put a hand over your mouth pushing you further into the bushes. âPrince Iroh?â a voice called literally right beside you and Iroh smirked as you grabbed his arm in surprise. You heard a sigh and the sound of the man retreating. When the footsteps died away Iroh dropped his hold on you and you both burst into laughter. âI thought we were going to be caught and then royally punished...literallyâ you added and Iroh smirked âI wouldnât let them punish you, itâs not your fault I dragged you out hereâ. âTrue but I didnât try hard to stop youâ. âYou did encourage meâ Iroh nodded thinking âokay itâs all your faultâ. You gaped laughing âI never said that! You are such a liarâ you cried pushing him and Iroh laughed grabbing your arm âokay okay maybe we share the blame 50:50?â. âNo wayâ you smiled and Iroh paused â60:40?â. âI think 90:10?â you said grinning and Iroh sighed âfine, iâll take 10% of the blameâ. You shook your head at how wonderfully infuriating he was and smiled at him fondly. Iroh grinned back and you realised suddenly how close his face was to yours. Iroh seemed to notice too, he glanced down at your lips and you panicked moving away from him suddenly. There was an awkward tension in the air and you broke it with a cough âso want to show me more of the gardens then?â. Iroh nodded âright this way my ladyâ the awkwardness gone and led you further into the garden.
When you were safely hidden from the ballroom Iroh stopped walking, explaining this was one of his favourite spots in the whole garden and you gratefully took a break sitting down. âI canât believe youâve already been here a monthâ Iroh commented and you nodded âI know only 2 more to go then my mandatory 3 months work experience is doneâ. Iroh frowned âmandatory...so you could stay longer if you wanted to?â. âHypotheticallyâ you agreed and Iroh hesitated âdo you think youâd extend it? Hypothetically?â. You paused âIâm not sure, I have enjoyed the fire nation far more than I thought I would but Iâve always wanted to complete my training as quickly as possible, I hope to be chief of police one day and Iâll need many years of service for that...â. Iroh frowned âisnât the youngest chief like 41?â. You nodded âyeah so iâve got time I guess, maybe iâll stay for longer...is this just so you have someone to skirt your royal duties with?â. Iroh laughed âmaybe...I like you being here, itâs nice not being the only person under 30 in every roomâ. You smiled âwell iâm glad my presence isnât displeasing to you...youâve been pleasant as wellâ you added blushing and Iroh grinned. âWait did I make a Beifong blush? Thatâs like a legendary occurrence, this is amazing!â. âStop itâ you cried but Iroh wouldnât let you turn away âno, this will go down in history, Beifong blushes are rarer than dragons so Iâm soaking up every secondâ. For the second time that day Iroh stared at you closely and you blushed more under his gaze but this time you didnât move away. Iroh continued gazing at you before he lightly moved his hand to your cheek ây/n...â he said softly leaning in closer when a figure appeared. âThere you are!â a voice cried and you both jumped away from one another. Your jaw dropped when you realised who it was and you dropped into a bow âFirelord Izumi...iâm so sorry I didnât see you approachâ. âRise child you did nothing wrongâ she said warmly âmy son on the other hand...â she trailed off glancing at Iroh who paled. âHey momâ he frowned and she raised an eyebrow âreally? Thatâs all you have to say? No apology or grovellingâ. âErm Iâm sorry for ditching?â Iroh offered and Izumi sighed. âY/n would you please excuse us, I want to have a word with my sonâ. âOf courseâ you agreed bowing and you rushed away.
Iroh returned not long after with his mother and told you he had to stay in the ballroom for the rest of the party. You agreed to stay with him and he smiled gratefully at you making you blush and look away rapidly. The night passed and neither you nor Iroh spoke about what happened in the garden. How heâd almost kissed you and how you were going to let him. You couldnât believe your own recklessness. What good did you think would come out of kissing the prince of the fire nation? You were obviously not an appropriate match and so there was nothing to be encouraged there. You resolved to never find yourself in that situation again and decided to just stay as friends no matter how much you got along or how attractive he was. Getting involved with a fire nation prince was not responsible behaviour. So after that night you made sure to put distance between you and Iroh. You didnât stop seeing him you just made sure to emphasise it was a friendship. You didnât let yourself get caught up in him the way you had in the gardens and always kept a level head. Iroh never tried anything or mentioned that night either and you supposed he picked up on your not so subtle hints. You carried on as before but there was definitely an unmentioned barrier between you which you never let fade.
You left the fire nation 2 months later. You didnât extend your stay as with your feelings for Iroh you didnât think it would be wise. Iroh saw you off and hugged you tightly before you got onto the airship. âItâs been nice having you around Beifong, Iâll miss youâ. Irohâs words made you hesitate and you hugged him tighter. For that time in Irohâs arms you imagined what would have happened if youâd kissed him in the gardens that night. Iroh didnât strike you as someone who flitted from person to person taking what he wanted, you think if he wanted to kiss you he must have felt something for you too and perhaps would have suggested dating. You imagined all the things youâd have done together but as a couple and wondered if youâd made a mistake, maybe you should have just gone for it? But then reality set in. If you really wanted to be chief of police then you couldnât have short relationships with high ranking members of the fire nation. Other candidates could use it to show you had compromised morals and there was no way it would be a long term relationship due to your lack of fire nation heritage. Sure the fire nation was pretty progressive but that didnât really apply to royalty. They had thousand-year-old traditions to uphold that couldnât be broken easily so Iroh was never a long term option for you. Therefore all logical signs said youâd done the correct thing not persuing something with him...so why did it feel so shit? You finally pulled away from Iroh and he noticed your expression. âWhatâs wrong?â he asked and you shook your head looking away ânothing iâll just miss it here...promise youâll keep in touch?â. âCross my heartâ Iroh smiled âyouâre not someone I intend to let slip away, expect a visit every time I come to republic cityâ. You pushed away the rational voice in your mind telling you to keep a distance from him and smiled âyouâll always be welcome and Iâm very much looking forward to itâ. Iroh blushed âthank you y/nâ and you nodded back, just looking at him in admiration before catching yourself. âI should go...â and Iroh nodded âsafe travelsâ and with a final look you walked away.
2 years later
After your departure you and Iroh stayed in regular contact and your letters only halted when he was deployed by the military but the second we was out he would write and arrange to come visit you in Republic City. You still thought about him and your feelings for him regularly and every time you saw him you knew your crush hadnât lessened. You loved Irohâs visits and soon they became the thing you cherished most. You told yourself all of this was fine because youâd never act on your feelings but sometimes you wondered if Iroh felt something too? Youâd catch him staring at you or heâd blush if you smiled at him in a certain way. The very idea of Iroh liking you made you very excited but you also knew it would only lead to heartache. He wouldnât be allowed to settle down with someone outside the fire nation so it didnât matter if he liked you too. So you settled for his friendship which was more than enough for you. When Iroh was posted in republic city when he became general you were thrilled and you only continued to grow closer.
However republic city wasnât as peaceful. There had been multiple attacks on the city from Amonâs chi blockers to Vaatuâs take over and you and Iroh were constantly pushed into the fray. Multiple times youâd faced staggering odds and every single time you wondered if you should confess your feelings to Iroh in case the unthinkable happened but every time you chickened out. You and Iroh had been safe every time but there was only so much you could push your luck. Â
Youâd been wary of Kuviraâs take over of the earth kingdom from the very start. Your aunt Su Yin had told you all about her so you werenât surprised when she set her sights on Republic City but that didnât mean you werenât terrified. The avatar and her friends informed you what you were facing and you werenât sure how you could even think about facing a giant mecha suit with spirit cannons. Iroh shared your sentiment but as general of Republic Cityâs army he was forced by President Raiko to lead his troops out there. Watching Iroh take to the front line you were swept with the desire once again to be honest with him, to tell him how you felt before it was too late. You decided three was too many times to chance it and so decided to finally tell him how you felt. You made your way to the generalâs tent and found Iroh with Korra discussing strategies. You greeted them both warmly before making your way to Irohâs side âcould we please talk? I have something to tell youâ. You knew Iroh had a hundred things to do but he nodded warmly squeezing your hand âof course just give me one second to...â when the radio sprang into action. President Raiko had surendering to Kuviraâs demands. Republic City was hers.
The avatar was furious and you matched her sentiment. You and Iroh joined her as she met with other leaders in the city like Tenzin and your mother and they all agreed something had to be done to stop Kuvira. A plan was quickly assembled, it was agreed that airbenders would attack the suit from the sky and earth benders would attack from the ground. You didnât actually expect to damage the suit, you only had to distract Kuvira long enough for Korra to get inside. You were agreeing fervently getting ready to leave with your cousins when Iroh grabbed your arm. âWait Y/n are you sure you want to do this?â he asked nervously âthat mecha suit is dangerous thereâs no guarantee youâll be able to stop itâ. I know but itâs my home, I swore to protect it and I wonât break my oath. I have to try and helpâ. Iroh sighed thinking and you watched him wondering what heâd say. âI understand why youâre doing it and I want to come tooâ. You paused pleasantly surprised âYou do...but I thought President Raiko told you to retreat and surrender?â. âHe told me to surrender the army not that I couldnât personally engage in fighting, iâm not fighting as a general but as plain old Irohâ he announced proudly and you smiled âthereâs nothing plain about you even without your titlesâ. Iroh beamed at you âDoes this mean you agree? We can fight this giant together!â. You nodded your head âokay letâs go meet up with the othersâ.
You and Iroh rushed after the others and found them all suiting up. âFinallyâ your mother said spotting you but she frowned when she saw Iroh with you ây/n tell me you didnât bring the general who is also the prince of the fire nation into thisâ. âShe didnât, I volunteeredâ Iroh spoke up âIâm not here as a general or as a prince but as a civilian so, where can I help?â. âYou know your mother wonât like thisâ Tenzin commented and Iroh nodded âI know but some things are worth facing her wrath forâ he said shooting you a smile and you blushed.
So it was agreed Iroh would stay. Your mother thought it would be best to place him on the roof with the airbenders, she ordered him to shoot lightning at the joints to try and cause some malfunctioning. When youâd all suited up the teams said their goodbyes and Iroh appeared in front of you. You didnât have long, Kuviraâs giant suit was already in view and the ground shook whenever it took a single step. Iroh stared at you and sighed heavily âY/n...â. âDonât say it like that, we donât have time and weâre both going to be fine okay?â you said faking a smile but Iroh saw right through it. âWhat did you want to tell me earlier?â. You froze caught off guard and blushed âI...I just wanted to...it doesnât matterâ. The ground jumped and Iroh looked at it nervously before stepping closer to you âI think I can guess what you were going to sayâ. âYou can?â you asked nervously and Iroh smiled âyeah...you had another Beifong blush moment and Iâve noticed you do them around me a lotâ. You went bright red and Iroh chuckled âyeah like that...â. You looked down embarrassed but Iroh took your hand gently âdonât, I blush a lot around you tooâ. You smiled blushing more and Iroh chuckled softly. âY/n are you ready?â your mom asked and Iroh gripped your hand tightly. âWait I want to tell you everything before you leaveâ Iroh cried but you squeezed his hand gently. âItâll be okayâ you smiled âyou can tell me everything later and I think I can guess tooâ. Iroh grinned blushing âlater then...just got to get through thisâ. âWeâll be fine, this is what he trained forâ you smiled confidently âI promise Iâll see you on the other sideâ. Iroh nodded and stared at your lips, he went to move in when your mother called ây/n are you coming or are we leaving you behindâ. âIâm coming!â you yelled and stepped away from Iroh âmothersâ you commented and he smiled âgo, iâll see you afterâ and with a last look you both rushed off to your assigned group.
The battle
The fight went about as good as could be expected. The suit swatted the air benders away like flies and your groupâs earth, metal and even lava bending barely slowed it down. But it didnât matter, all that mattered was the avatar and her team managed to find a way into that thing and your team cheered when you saw sheâd done just that. Now the fight was Korraâs so you let your guard down when suddenly the machine began malfunctioning. Your mother yelled for you all to take cover but you were too far away from the building. The suit exploded with a blast and you saw a blinding light and then black.
After the suit exploded everyone assumed the battle won. Half the air benders went after Korra to help her with Kuvira and the other half went to the ground to make sure the others were okay, of course Iroh went with the latter. He saw Bolin, your aunt and cousins but no sign of you or your mother. They told him they were all searching for you and he rushed to join in. With each street he passed his heart began to sink when finally he spotted you! In the arms of your mother unconscious. Iroh ran forward dropping to his knees beside you. âWhat happened?â he cried and your mother clutched you desperately âthat thing exploded and she was too far to get into cover, it hit her sending her flying through the street and now sheâs...sheâs...â. Iroh saw the blood seeping through your motherâs hands where she held them against you. âNoâ he said viciously ây/n wonât...she canât! We need a medicâ he yelled loudly before taking off his jacket to wrap around your wound. âMaybe I can cauterise the wound?â he asked âseal it to stop her losing so much blood?â. Lin paused âI think the wounds too big but itâs worth a shotâ. Iroh nodded and Lin lifted the bottom of your uniform. Iroh saw a large gash across your stomach and winced. He lit his hand on fire and pressed his hands against the wound. You gasped suddenly and your eyes shot open. âY/nâ your mother and Iroh cried in unison and you blinked trying to make sense of the situation before you groaned in pain. You tensed trying to get away from the burning but your mother held onto you âplease y/n just hang on Iroh is trying to cauterise your woundâ. âItâs not workingâ you grimaced resisting the urge to scream âIroh stop! Please!â you cried and he yelled in frustration moving his hands away from you. âNo it has to work if it doesnât then youâll.....we need a medic down hereâ he yelled again but he knew everyone else was spread out and there were no healers in the group. âItâs okayâ you said breathing heavily as the situation dawned on you âIroh itâs alrightâ. âNo itâs notâ he cried sinking onto his knees beside you âitâs not y/n, you canât...you have to fight this, you canât leave meâ. You nodded âtrust me iâm trying but Iroh if I do...â. âNo y/n donât even think about it! I wonât let you go itâs not going to happenâ. âI donât think we have a choiceâ you admitted trying to smile but Iroh just shook his head âbut we never got our shot, we never got to talk, I never got to tell you...I love you y/nâ he said simply âI have for years, thatâs why I never found anyone from the fire nation because the perfect person for me is you. I know thereâs traditions and rules but I donât care, I donât want anyone else but you. Iâd give up anything for you and we were finally heading in that direction and now that stupid spirit cannonâ. Tears leaked down Irohâs face and you reached out a hand to him shakily. He took it and you stroked his face âitâs okay, iâm sorry for being too scared and cautious, Iâm sorry for wasting our time together but I love you too, I hope thatâs enoughâ. Iroh nodded âItâs more than I ever hoped, you didnât waste time you have nothing to be sorry for y/n Beifong, do you hear me?â. âI doâ you smiled before coughing in pain and your mother clutched you tighter. âY/nâ your mother cried and you smiled up at her âitâs okay mom, donât worry. Itâs all going to be okayâ. You clutched her hand against your chest and took Irohâs other one. âIâm with the two people I love the most, Iâm happy. This is the best way for it to...â. âStopâ Iroh said crying but you just gripped his hand tighter âIroh look at meâ. He blinked through the tears but looked at you. âItâs okay, I promise you everything will be okayâ. Iroh just said your name softly and rested his head against yours. Your mother wrapped her arms around both of you and you held onto both of them the best you could when you felt the world fading away. You heard sobbing and your mother faintly saying your name until everything turned dark and it was over.
Epilogue
Following your death the fire nation, earth kingdom and republic city all paid their respects in their traditional fashions. A statue was raised by your mother in the spot of your death and every year on the anniversary of your death both her and Iroh would visit it. Iroh and your mother supported one another following your death being the only oneâs who understood how monumental the loss of your life was. They managed to get through it together and although neither of them ever stopped loving you they found a way to carry on. Iroh never married, he couldnât even consider the idea and his family never pushed him to. He still lived a long and happy life. He was very involved with his sisterâs children who he loved dearly and his family never stopped supporting him. If he went quiet and got a teary look in his eye or if he struggled serving in the earth kingdom they understood. Your family also treated him like one of their own, with Lin even calling him her son on a few occasions, and he was invited to all your familyâs events in recognition of your love for him. Your memory never faded and when Irohâs life eventually ended he passed on to find you waiting for him. He knew all the suffering and heartache was over, you were finally together at last.Â

So initially I was going to write a happy ending as well but then I thought screw it, I want to cry so I killed off the reader...but I can release the happy ending as a part two if anyone wants it.Â

â tag game. â
recommend 5 or more of your own works that you would rec to someone asking what they should read first & explain a little bit about the work. these can be the most popular, the ones you think are underrated, or your own favorites! then tag five other writers! | tagged by @neo-shitty thanks toffee i love talking about myself! :p
you best believe i AM doing more than 5 because i write for a lot of groups and i truly believe those fics are worth reading!
seventeen.
sympathy subtraction (chwe vernon). okay so there is NO way im not mentioning this fic. AND im putting it on first place because its literally my child. my longest fic and the fic i hold the closest to my heart. 40k full of undying love for chwe vernon, this is. it also really closely follows my emotions about every single falling-out i've ever had. the perfect slice of life, the perfect coming of age. i shamelessly reread this from time to time from how well written it actually is. i am not afraid to say that i am the biggest fan of my own fic bc oh well. i write the fics i wanna read <3
this february 14th (kim mingyu). okay here's the tea. for a while, i really didnt like this fic and i despised seeing it in my notifications, BUT. it literally has 1k notes so i reread it last night and i literally forgot what this fic was about i kid you not đ after reading it again, i came to the conclusion that my writing style in this is actually really good and even though the plot is not anything special, i still think it was really sweet :p
nct.
happier than ever (huang renjun). a big FAT trauma dump. but i absolutely adore this fic. one of my absolute favorites. i somehow always give renjun the fics where i experience the most trauma lmao i treat writing for this boy like a therapy session. i think it has to do w the fact that i see myself a lot in renjun so it feels safe to write about him in this way :p anywAYS i still love the brother's best friend trope i incorporated in here. its also a fairly popular fic of mine, which is a pleasant surprise! a lot of coming of age/slice of life vibes, fluffy but also absolutely heartbreaking. <3
the borders (huang renjun). AAAAAAA another trauma dump đ hits a little less to home than the previous fic does, but still hits nonetheless. inspired by one of my most favorite songs ever! i always wanted to write a fic on this song, even back in my 5sos era, so i am glad i finally did it when writing for nct. handles very difficult themes, so i was a little scared of posting it, as it was the first full nct fic ive ever posted as well :) i said it the first time and i will say it again; handle this fic with care.
and i love her just like that (lee donghyuck). MY MOST POPULAR NCT FIC AND YOU KNOW WHAT? AS IT SHOULD BE. hyuck e2l just hitS đŠđŠ i think about this fic at least two times a week when i go play table tennis with my dad. hyuck is a menace and i still wanna make out with him very badly at a ping-pong table. this fic represents just that. also slightly inspired by maniac by nct u bc hyuck ate
just saying (liu yangyang). my writing style in this >>>>> ngl i find myself really funny in this it might just be me but. this fic is top comedy. also i have a yangyang fic in my drafts that deserves to be in this list but i havent posted it yetđđđ not yy being the only non dream member i write for from nct. his impact on me is truly impaccable.
seventeen going under (zhong chenle). another fic that might be difficult to handle and also another sam fender inspired fic. talks about suicide. with this, i wanted to speak up about the rate of male suicides and how we tend to overlook mental issues in men due to toxic masculinity. also, i loved the 'retro' film vibe and the chenji besties interactions i wrote in here<3
hypersonic missiles (na jaemin). bros i didnt expect this fic to get nearly as much attention as it has. idk man i dont really get much to say abt this one, other than the fact that its a sci-fi, which i dont usually write, but i fucking loved writing this it was so much fun i should do more sci-fi
stray kids.
lee felix's guide to hating you (lee felix). another popular one!! loved every second of writing this. it handles my own feelings and emotions and the fic is very personal to me hihi it also lowkey made my blog "blow up"?? not that its big rn or anything, but i think that most of my followers came from this fic! :)
my only hate, my only love (kim seungmin). bruh there's just something about seungmin that only allows me to write angst for him. i think there's like one (1) fluff that i wrote for him and even that one is a short drabble. im sorry seungmin. đ anyways i am a literature hoe and wrote this despite not reading romeo and juliet fully once!! had a lot of fun with it. e2l stays superior (not actually, i prefer f2l but shh)
meet you there (kim seungmin). another heavy one ooof- inspired by sky castle! ngl i am very much in love with kim donghee and he always reminded me of seungmin a bit and i think that's what made me write this fic? đ not sure.
tagging. @koishua @crispy-chan @chogiwow @mellow-midzy @aliceu @multi-kpop-fanfics @decembermoonskz and @tinami (if you come back to tumblrđ¤) LETS SPREAD LOVE ABT OUR FICS AND ACT LIKE ARTISTS ON GENIUS EXPLAINING THE LYRICS đĄđĄđĄ

***
âWhat?â I yelled, almost spitting my tea. No, I mustâve heard him wrong. Jaemin wouldnât be stupid enough to do that. It had to be a joke. Or I mustâve imagined him say that. âYou donât mean that,â I added, still in shock, trying to comprehend what just happened.
âCome on, Noona,â Jaemin whined, staring right into my eyes, wishing for me to say yes to his ridiculous proposal. âI wouldnât suggest that if I knew we couldnât pull through.â
With a sigh, I shook my head. Jaeminâs proposition was absurd, and I couldnât believe I was about to ask him again to walk me through it.
Damn me and my curiosity.
âBefore I make my mind about this⌠tell me what the fuck led you guys to make that stupid bet. Then, and only then, I will still say no, but in good faith,â I demanded, smiling at Jaemin, knowing I wouldnât make it easy for him to convince me. The odds werenât in his favor, and he really had to put in lots of effort if he really wanted me on board.
âSo we were chilling after practice, and then Haechan started to tease me that I have no game anymore,â Jaemin started, and I rolled my eyes. Of course, I shouldâve figured it out. A man in his age apparently is a failure unless he has a different girl in his bed at least 3 nights a week, moaning his name at the top of her voice. Even though Jaemin doesnât have a competitive nature, it still provoked him into agreeing to this absurd bet.
Life must be though with an ego so fragileâŚ
Jaemin isnât a fuckboy, yet he still has a fair share of love conquests. Though I had no idea whether it was true or not, he must have fallen a little behind the others â otherwise, they wouldnât tease him about it.
âAnd then I said his mother mustâve dropped him on the head if he really thinks that,â Jaemin carried on. I nodded my head, trying to wrap my head around this preposterous situation. âThen, I said I could seduce any girl I want,â he added proudly, making me want to flicker his forehead, hoping it would knock some sense into that empty skull at the top of his neck.
âOkay, but how the hell did you end up with having to seduce me? This is the part I have the most trouble understanding,â I pointed out, cocking my eyebrow.
âThen, Chenle suggested we bet on it, and I agreed to it,â Jaemin whispered, looking away, sounding both regretful and shy. âI urged them to pick any girl, so Haechan looked around to choose my next conquest. It was the time when you and Ten were walking to the dance studio, and that bastard suggested you.â
So it was Haechanâs doing â I shouldâve figured this one out. He was the only one wicked enough to possibly ruin somebodyâs friendship because of a stupid bet.
Or, it was quite genius of him â maybe he figured Jaemin would not cross this line, choosing our friendship over winning this imbecilic bet.
âAnd you were confident you can woo me? What about our friendship? Does it mean anything to you?â I inquired, curious of what was going inside his head when he agreed to this half-witted bet. Did he seriously think we could have sex and then forget all about it?
âItâs not like that! I donât want to woo you. I mean⌠I could, and you would be very much aware if I tried to hit on you, and you would fall for me. No doubts on that,â Jaemin spoke confidently, grinning like an idiot with ego blown way out of proportion. âButââ
Jaemin was about to say something dense, so before more bullshit managed to leave his mouth, I hit him with a cutting board. Jaemin whined, but I was sure he was exaggerating for comedy purposes. My hit was calculated and balanced â it was powerful enough for him to understand it wasnât a good idea, but at the same, it was not going to cause any permanent damage to his brain. Iâd never purposefully do that to him.
âWeâre not having sex. Get that shit inside your head,â I interjected, pouring my herbal tea down my throat, already thinking about making another cup. This conversation was making me uncomfortable, and I wanted to put an end to it. Perhaps another lemon balm tea would calm my nerves.
Ignoring his penetrating gaze, I shuffled around the kitchen, setting the kettle on the stove. In the meantime, Jaemin walked around the kitchen island and grabbed me by my shoulders, looking straight into my eyes.
âCome on, Noona, I am not asking you to sleep with me,â Jaemin defended his case, quite determined to pull me on his side.
âWell⌠it looks exactly like youâre asking me to sleep with you,â I cut in, walking around him to the cabinet to get a fresh tea bag. Iâve really had enough of this bullshit.
âWe could just make it look like like we did,â he carried on, and I heaved a deep sigh, regretting even letting him in today. I had this extremely boring essay to write, and at this point, Iâd rather begin my research on whatever topic my professor assigned.
âItâs still a no from me, sorry,â I replied harshly, crashing Jaeminâs expectations. Judging by the look on his face, it wasnât the outcome he anticipated when he decided to knock on my doors. âWhat happens when you lose that bet? Well⌠except for your pride, of course.â
â500 dollars.â
âOuch, sowwy, I hope you can afford that,â I added with a fake smile, patting him on the shoulder, being well aware this amount of money was a game-changer to Jaeminâs budget. If he won, he would have the time of his life, spoiling himself. However, if he lost, heâd have to eat instant ramen on every meal for the entire month. âEither way, I hope it will teach you a lesson to not bet on things you know you canât win.â
âUgh, fine,â Jaemin groaned in disappointment, reaching for my hands, holding them carefully as if they were made of china. âIf you help me, Iâll give you half of the money,â he proposed, and I looked at our hands linked together, then quickly shifted my gaze to his eyes. âIf you help me win, youâll get 250 dollars, and youâll be finally able to buy those fancy shoes you wanted so bad. What do you say?â
When did he get so persuasive?
It was a low blow.
Jaemin knew that these shoes were tempting me ever since I had seen them. Multiple times, my thumb hovered over the add-to-cart button. Every time, I resisted the temptation last minute upon seeing the price tag, though. This purchase was way out of my budget. Â However, now, when the new income opportunity presented itself, it made me wonder.
Suddenly, the kettle began to whistle, bringing me down to Earth from that ridiculous train of thought. Shaking my head, I tore my hands out of Jaeminâs gentle grasp, fidgeting back to the stove, pouring boiling water into the cup.
âOkay, fine, but I have a few questions first,â I gave up after a short pause for intense pondering, and Jaemin smiled brightly in instant gratitude and relief. Without my help, he would be doomed. âAnd then, if I like the answers, I have a few conditions.â
âAnything.â
âOkay, so first of all, how much time do we have to do the deed,â I inquired as I blew some air before taking a cautious sip.
âAbout two weeks,â Jaemin mentioned after a while as he had counted on his fingers how many days we have to team up and win five hundred dollars for us. âOfficially, we have to do it before Jaehyunâs birthday party,â he specified, and I hummed, realizing it is very little time.
âYou seriously think I am that easy? Outrageous,â I gasped, throwing a fake tantrum as I made my way around him to sit down on the barstool on the other side of the kitchen island.
âNo, of course not,â Jaemin quickly realized what I was getting on, so he smiled sheepishly, already trying to figure out the best wording to calm me down. âI am just that good,â he added, and I leaned over to smack his shoulder. âKidding,â he defended himself, stepping out of my reach. âRenjun proposed this party, I mean, itâs the easiest way they can verify we did it,â Jaemin carried on, and I cursed under my breath.
How convenient.
âBut weâre not going to do the fucking,â I stated, as a matter of fact, repeating myself in order to make sure we were both on the same page. As much as it would be pleasant to actually do it with him, never under these circumstances.
âNo, weâre not, but I guess we can sneak out upstairs to one of the unoccupied rooms, and once we make sure theyâre listening, you can just shout how good Iâm fucking you,â Jaemin reasoned, and I sighed as regret once again washed through me.
âThatâs creepy,â I commented as my mind conjured an image of a group of peeping Toms, eavesdropping on our sex session. Once again, I felt the temptation to drop out of this deal, but then, another thought crossed my mind. âUgh, fine, Iâll do it. All I have to do is shout for two minutes, and then, these cute shoes will be mine.â
âTwo minutes? Are you insane?â Jaemin hollered, offended by my comment. âIt happened once, and it was ages ago. Iâve learned plenty of tricks since then,â he blabbered, acting way too defensive for his past mishap. âJust let me live in peace, please.â
âOkay, so we have established the deadline, and although itâs not enough time for anyone to woo me, letâs go with it.â
âThank you! I knew I could count on you,â Jaemin replied with gleeful enthusiasm as he sat down on the barstool beside me and pressed a chaste kiss against my knuckles.
âBut you have to go overboard with the courting,â I added, making Jaemin groan. Hard work wasnât his best suit, but this time, he really had to try his best, or Iâd have to turn him down at Jaehyunâs party. âYou really have to make it believable and super romantic. Otherwise, Iâm out,â I clarified, and Jaemin nodded, though unwillingly.
âFine, any other wishes in mind?â
âOnce we win the bet, we have to end this whole fake-dating fiasco immediately,â I announced, already planning ahead. It was easy to win the bet, but the most difficult part was getting back to normal. If we planned to fake-date in order to fake-fuck, then it was reasonable to figure out how weâre going to fake-break up.
âWe should agree on admitting it was the best sex of our lives, but despite that, we value our friendship even more, so we decided to remain friends. How does it sound?â Jaemin suggested, and I had to once again resist the temptation to roll my eyes.
âI agree with the overall message, but later, we have to work on proper delivery.â
 ***
On the very next day, Jaemin and I decided to implement our secret plan.
Since I specifically asked to be courted in an over-the-top manner, Jaemin suggested going to the cinema. There were no attention-grabbing titles screened, yet ultimately, we agreed on watching the very last projection of the sequel to Wonder Woman.
âGo get the snacks, Iâll buy the tickets,â I ordered once we stepped into the cinema area of the nearest shopping mall. It was two oâclock in the afternoon, so the establishment wasnât crowded. Except for us, there was only a family of three slowly making their way to the exit.
âSee you in five minutes,â Jaemin murmured before he walked off to the bar to get us some salty popcorn and soda drinks. Though we both considered them way overpriced, it was a perfect way to celebrate the beginning of our fake relationship.
âWe still have some time until the movie starts,â Jaemin shyly whispered as he cleared his throat. âLetâs take some selfies to make it public,â he added, and I nodded, sending him a timid smile, knowing this protocol had to be done in order to properly keep up appearances.
These days, everything had to be posted on social media, or it didnât exist. If we didnât leave a single digital mark, people mightâve grown a little bit suspicious of our alleged rendezvous. It would probably shock our friends, but it had to be done if we wanted to really sell it to them.
The circumstances were perfect for an impromptu first-date photo shoot. We were able to snap a few pictures without any annoying looks of prying eyes, choose the best angles, and finally post it with an ambiguous description confusing the shit out our friends.
Though Jaemin took about fifty photos, ultimately, I allowed him to upload three.
One picture showed me standing back to the camera as I looked at the cinema schedule, trying to pick a movie. I was wearing an A-line crimson red dress and a pair of warm black tights â the outfit really made my figure look pretty slim.
âWhat do you think about this one?â Jaemin inquired, showing me the photo of our interlaced hands. With a hum, I inspected the picture, giving him the green light. It was appropriate for our first date â it would signify we werenât at the cinema as friends.
âThis one looks good enough,â I commented as I reached to swipe across the screen of his smartphone. âI look cute here,â I added, showing Jaemin a picture of us. We were smiling, staring at the camera, almost stuffing our faces into the bucket of popcorn.
âWhat kind of description should I write?â
âSomething vague, I guess,â I answered with a shrug, having no clue what kind of comment would be fitting for this Instagram post. âMaybe stick to emojis,â I suggested, and Jaemin went back to work, adjusting filters and typing the description.
With a chuckle, Jaemin handed me his phone, letting me approve his commentary.
âAre you out of your mind?â I hollered, quickly deleting the emojis. Having smacked his shoulder, I turned around, blocking him from seeing the screen. Three blushed emojis suited our fake-date better than a popcorn bucket, a wine glass, and an eggplant.
âSorry, I couldnât help myself,â Jaemin apologized, still laughing at his incredibly funny joke.
âHere, I posted it,â I said with an eye roll, throwing his phone at his lap. âThe commercials mustâve started; letâs go,â I rose from my seat and extended my arm, wanting Jaemin to hand me the cup of coke. Jaemin, however, completely misunderstood my intentions, putting his hand into mine, holding it gently. âGive me my drink, Jaemin.â
âSorry,â Jaemin sheepishly smiled before he yanked back his hand and turned his head around, too embarrassed to look at me. I, on the other hand, laughed hysterically. That shouldâve served him right after that emoji faux pas.
âI was kidding,â I admitted when my laughter died down. âCome on, Jaemin. Letâs go; I want to see the trailers,â I added before grabbing his hand, hauling him inside the screening room.
At the last row, we plopped down onto our double seat, getting comfortable for the movie. With our belongings thrown onto the neighboring seat, we stretched our limbs before the lights went out, providing us with the best viewing experience.
âDo you think theyâve seen it?â Jaemin whispered into my ear as he placed his head on my shoulders. âI want to check it, but at the same time, I donât.â
âMood,â I replied, feeling just as anxious.
The movie began, and we quickly forgot about our bold social media statement, focusing much more on the screening. Residing to our typical behavior, Jaemin placed his head on my shoulder, snuggling closer, taking full advantage of the bucket of popcorn, which rested on my thighs.
It was peaceful and comfortable â just as things were before Jaemin had come up with his brilliant idea to fake-date each other for the sake of that ludicrous bet. Though we acted the way we used to with each other, it felt somewhat different with that supposed romantic connotations haunting us. Not necessarily bad kind of different, though.
Just as we expected, two hours was more than enough for our friends to spam our individual inboxes. We both had dozens of messages from group chats, as well as private ones. All of them were asking and/or speculating what happened and why.
âI donât feel like answering any of these,â I muttered, dreading to read what Ten and Jiwoo wrote on our roomiesâ group chat. âI donât feel like coming home, either. Theyâre gonna eat me alive with questions. I am not ready to face them yet. Wanna hang out some more?â
âFuck, even my mom has seen them,â Jaemin cursed under his breath, completely forgetting about his mother being a mad keen Instagram user. Now, when he looked at our arrangement from a slightly different angle, Jaemin realized it brought way more consequences than he was planning on facing.
It was bad.
Really bad.
With shaky hands, I unlocked my phone, checking the Instagram post Jaemin had tagged me in. Not only our friends flooded the group chats, but also, they didnât forget to embarrass us even further in the comment section.
lucas_xx444: what the heck??? đ§ is this for real???
yuu_taa_1026: finally!!1 maybe they stop simping for each other now đ¤Ą
_jeongjaehyun: another man down, shame đ
choi.jiwoo21: đđ some men actually grow up, jeongâŚ
mama_nana: Why am I only finding about this now?
âWell⌠fuck,â I murmured under my breath, still unable to process the fact that Jaeminâs mom knew about it. It was supposed to be a harmless charade; however, with each passing minute, it was getting out of hand. âWhat is the damage control procedure?â I asked in concern, biting the bottom lip nervously. Lying to our friends was pretty bad, but keeping this relationship thingy up in front of his mother was despicable.
âYou know how she is,â Jaemin started, and I sighed, wishing I had no clue of what she was capable of. Unfortunately, I did, and it scared the hell out of me. âEither we go and visit her, or sheâs coming to visit us,â he wondered, unable to choose which option was worse. âFuck, sheâs calling me. What do I do?â
With panic flashed in his eyes, Jaemin handed me his phone, expecting me to handle the conversation with his gossip-girl type of a mother. As if that would ever happenâŚ
âPick up and tell her weâre awfully busy or something,â I ordered him, gliding my finger across the screen, pressing the device against Jaeminâs ear.
âHi, mom,â he spoke through gritted teeth, staring at me in absolute fury. Quickly, his hand cupped mine before he grabbed the phone, adjusting it.
By Jaeminâs momâs standards, the conversation was brief. Or rather, her monologue was because Jaemin didnât speak a single word through the entirety of it. Except for a couple of mmmâs thrown here and there, he didnât engage at all.
Ideally, Jaemin would schedule the visit after we will have broken up. Heâd go there by himself and tell her a story of us coming back to our senses and deciding to remain just friends. Unfortunately, that would require at least one functional brain cell and a pinch of assertiveness â both of which Jaemin seemed to lack.
âAnd?â I inquired, praying to hear some good news.
With a sheepish smile, Jaemin cautiously looked up at me. âWeâre visiting her for dinner on Friday,â he announced, and I gripped my hands, trying to refrain myself from beating the shit out of him.
I didnât sign up for any of this!
I just wanted some shoes.
âI hate you, Na Jaemin,â I angrily declared, storming out of the cinema, ready to indulge myself with plenty of greasy food. It wasnât the best coping mechanism, but I needed to consume a ridiculous amount of calories in order to forget I was stupid enough to agree to participate in this travesty. âAre you coming or not?!â
 ***
The last thing I wanted was to face my roommates. They mustâve had dozens of questions about this out-of-the-blue date, and I was dreadful because I couldnât provide them with genuine answers. Perhaps, I could try to confabulate my way out of this, but it was, nonetheless, risky.
Having eaten at least two servings of a delicious greasy meal Jaemin and I went for a stroll under the pretense of taking some more photos for future references.
Around 8 oâclock, I unwillingly made my way home. Even with that romantic aura lurking around us, it was still fun to hang out with Jaemin.
Walking up the stairs to the fourth floor, I wondered about possible solutions to my problem. In a perfect scenario, Iâd sneak into my room without anyone noticing, so I wouldnât have to deal with any prying questions until, at least, early morning.
Unfortunately, the moment I pulled out my keys, the doors swung wide open.
âWell, well, wellâŚâ Ten tsked with a mischievous smirk dancing across his gorgeous face. Asshole. How dare he tsk me? âHad fun on your date?â He asked, and I tried my best to ignore him. It wasnât that easy, though. With Jiwoo backing up his teasing, I was outnumbered.
âSo⌠you and Jaemin, huh?â Jiwoo mused, cocking up her eyebrow in curiosity. âSpill the tea. I didnât spam your inbox to not hear all the details,â she added, and I rolled my eyes, regretting all of my poor life choices that led me to this moment.
âIâll bring wine,â Ten hollered before he disappeared in the kitchen, also keen on knowing everything that had happened between us. âDonât say anything until I get there!â
They wanted to hear a romantic story of how two friends realized they had hots for each other, and thatâs exactly what I did. Unwillingly, I provided them with an incredible piece of fiction of how we felt the spark when Jaemin stopped by the other day.
Admittedly, it was easy to go with the flow once the wine molecules were coursing through my veins. With some liquid inspiration in my bloodstream, I narrated how adorable Jaemin had been when he had gathered enough courage to ask me out on a date.
âSo I assume youâre bringing Jaemin to the cabin on the weekend,â Jiwoo inquired in a teasing manner, and I blinked in confusion. What cabin was she talking about? âYou forgot, didnât you?â
âForgot about what?â I asked, still clueless about the whole ordeal. With a confused frown, I wondered what this cabin trip was about. Positively, I didnât forget about it. Itâs impossible to forget about plans you werenât even invited to.
So, Jiwoo explained everything in great detail.
Apparently, Jaehyun and Johnny planned a weekend getaway to the cabin by the sea. They invited plenty of people, but since itâs the middle of a hectic period of exams, only a small percentage of invitees would be able to make it.
Jaehyun, Johnny, and Lucas gave up trying to get the best grades two semesters ago, so their schedule was pretty much open. Renjun, Chenle, and Yeri were nerds with every necessary book memorized by heart, so they didnât have to cram the weekend before the tests. Jiwoo, being heads over heels in love with Jaehyun, would even cancel her manicure appointment to make it to that trip. She was that serious about this fratboy for some reasonâŚ
And now, two individuals needed a perfect excuse to ditch an uncomfortable family dinner. When a chance presented itself in front of me, I just couldnât say no.
âIâm going. I donât know about Jaemin, though. Heâs meeting his mom on Friday, but maybe he can make it work.â
âFantastic,â Jiwoo shouted in excitement before finishing her glass of wine.
âNow, when I think about it, I am glad Iâve taken an extra shift at the gym,â Ten chimed in with a playful smirk as he sipped his wine. âYou two simping for each other was painful to watch, but now, when youâre hitting it off, itâs gonna be unbearable.â
âWhat do you mean simping?â I yelled in a threatening manner, ready to fight him for spitting nonsense so carelessly. I mightâve had a tiny crush on Jaemin, but I wouldnât call it simping. Also, suggesting the simping was mutual? He mustâve lost his freaking mind. Ridiculous!
âShit, I didnât think this through,â Jiwoo mentioned, now probably re-considering if the trip is worthwhile. She would love to hang out with Jaehyun and finally make a move, but on the other hand, she would have to deal with my and Jaeminâs romantic shenanigans.
âWhy are you such drama queens? Weâve been on one date, for crying out loud! Stop acting like weâre some kind of overly touchy couple because weâre not,â I barked, having no more energy to argue with them. âWeâll keep PDA to a minimum, donât worry.â
âNo need to get so defensive,â Ten added, enjoying my misery a bit too much.
âI am not getting defensive,â I argued, though facing real trouble, unable to actually back up my perspective. âAnyway, I am going to sleep. Unlike the two of you, some people have real jobs,â I added before storming to my room, plopping onto my bed with a tired groan.
Having changed into my pajamas and sneaked under the covers, I finally dared to connect my phone to the Internet. My inbox was full of texts, so I read them all. I didnât feel like replying to any of them, though. Instead, I opened my chat with Jaemin.

As brilliant as my plan was, it fell through. Only partially, though. The little getaway was still a thing, but unfortunately, regardless of how much we tried, we couldnât reschedule the dinner at Jaeminâs family home.
We still had to pay his parents a visit, but, at least, there was a silver lining.
Thanks to our hectic schedule, Jaeminâs mom wouldnât have a chance to force us to stay longer. Whether she wanted to feed us dessert or stay the night, it was out of the question.
Since Jiwoo had one more exam to pass on Friday, half of the guests would have to show up later in the evening. Johnny, Jaehyun, Lucas, and Renjun were about to take off around noon while Jiwoo, Yeri, Chenle, Jaemin, and I had to carpool later in the evening.
I didnât complain, though.
âItâll be fine. Itâs just my mom,â Jaemin reassured me, slipping his hand into mine, giving it a gentle squeeze. âI bet itâs gonna be like any other time you stopped by,â he added, and I cocked up my eyebrow suspiciously.
âYou better be right,â I spoke, though still unconvinced. I knew Jaeminâs mother. She had a tendency to be, hmmâŚ, a little bit extra. Who knew how she would behave now when she found out we were dating?
Since Jaemin was carrying our suitcases, I knocked on the front doors. Jaeminâs mom rushed to let us in, but not before she gave us bone-crushing hugs.
âI think youâve misunderstood. I invited you for dinner. I didnât ask you to move in with me,â Mrs. Na jested upon seeing the suitcases in Jaeminâs hands, misinterpreting the situation in the funniest way possible. âIt must be shocking, but I enjoy living alone with your father.â
âWeâre going to the beach with some friends after the dinner,â Jaemin clarified, and his mother hummed in understanding, acting a bit too cool about it. Itâs been a while since Jaemin paid them a proper visit, and she was a little too nonchalant for my liking. âTheyâre going to pick us up around seven.â
She mustâve done something or was about to do something.
âHereâs some wine,â I spoke up, handing her the bottle as a small thank you gift for inviting us over for a delicious home-made meal.
âThank you, dear. Youâre so thoughtful,â Mrs. Na accepted the beverage, guiding us to the dining area. âI didnât feel like cooking today, so I ordered some Chinese takeout. I hope you donât mind,â she added, and I chuckled at her typical antics.
She was an amazing mother to Jaemin, raising him well, but she really was a terrible housewife. She didnât change one bit, and I loved her for it. She had so much love for her husband, her son, and her sonâs friends, and thatâs what really mattered.
âYour father will be home in thirty,â she announced before she made a beeline to the kitchen to get a bottle opener. âAnd the takeout was supposed to arrive twenty minutes ago. If it werenât for that slow delivery guy, I wouldâve got away with my little secret,â she blabbered, laughing awkwardly.
âItâs okay, really,â I reassured her, sending her a genuine smile. âI am craving Chinese food, anyway,â I added before I elbowed Jaemin, so he would say something, too. For a blabbermouth he was, right now, he seemed awfully quiet.
Before Jaemin managed to provide his mother with a proper response, someone knocked on the doors. Since we had already arrived, it mustâve been the delivery guy with food.
âIâll go get it,â Jaemin excused himself, leaving me alone with his mother.
âSoâŚ,â Mrs. Na cleared her throat as he began pouring wine into fancy glasses. âYou guys are finally dating. And if you want me to be completely honest, I am a little bit disappointed,â she made a pause to look at me in the eye. What? She didnât approve of me? Thatâs surprising; I used to think she adored me. âI am a little bit disappointed either of you didnât make a move sooner. I was slowly losing hope,â she added, and I sighed in relief.
For a while, I was seriously concerned she didnât like me.
âAre you expecting any guests? Thereâs no way we can finish it all by the four of us,â Jaemin commented as he walked into the dining room, setting two plastic bags of takeout. It smelled heavenly, and I couldnât wait to taste whatever dish Mrs. Na had ordered.
âI can always invite your friends inside when they pull up,â she spoke matter-of-factly, but as soon as Jaemin looked at her sternly, she seconded that idea. âOr, I can pack it up, so you can share it with your friends later.â
âShould we wait for dad?â Jaemin asked when his stomach growled, demanding food. In the morning, he was quite anxious about going to his parentsâ house, so he didnât even bother to eat. Now, Jaemin was starving. He couldnât wait any longer.
âIâll get the plates,â his mom spoke, not really answering his question. Within two minutes, she came back with a special set of tableware. In their household, it was used only for holidays and other rare occasions. âDig in,â she urged us, waiting for us to fill our plates before doing the same herself.
Whatever restaurant provided todayâs dinner, it was remarkable. It wasnât too salty, nor too spicy. Even when I was full, I still stuffed my mouth some more, unable to stop myself.
âYou have sauce on your chin,â Jaemin remarked, pointing at his own chin, helping me locate the stray drop of soy sauce. âHere,â he added with a tired shake of his head, wiping it clean with his napkin.
âYou two are too adorable,â Mrs. Na cooed, smiling at us widely. âIt was worth the wait,â she added, and I creased my forehead in confusion. âOh, did you hear that? It must be your dad,â Mrs. Na said upon hearing noise from the garage. âYou keep eating, Iâll go greet his workaholic ass,â she excused herself with a playful smile before walking away from the table to welcome her husband as any loving wife would.
With a deep sigh, Jaemin leaned toward me, resting his arm on my chair.
âItâs not that bad, actually. I was excepting to go through some kind of FBI-level of interrogation, but she seems kind of chill about this whole thing,â Jaemin whispered into my ear, and I giggled, agreeing with him. It was kind of suspicious, but I couldnât complain.
âItâs kinda creepy when sheâs talking like sheâs been rooting for us to end up together, but this one thing aside, itâs bearable,â I replied, and Jaemin nodded his head.
âI am gone for a minute, and youâre all over each other,â Mrs. Na snickered when she returned to the dining room, seeing Jaemin leaned in, only inches apart from my face. âJaemin, mamaâs so proud,â she added before she walked around the room to set the plate for Mr. Na.
âStop embarrassing me,â Jaemin whined, playing with the food on his plate, pouting. Though his mother pretty much ignored his childish tantrum, I chuckled, finding it absolutely adorable. Maybe she was a teaser, but little Jaemin knew, he inherited it from her. It was time he experienced the taste of his own medicine.
The apple doesnât fall that far from the treeâŚ
The rest of the afternoon went peaceful. Though Mrs. Na threw in some cheesy remarks here and there, we could handle it. We were slightly buzzed, after all.
âItâs time for us,â Jaemin announced as he heard a car parked in front of the house. âIt was nice. We should totally do it again,â he sarcastically added when he reached for my coat and helped me put it on.
âDonât have too much fun,â she added with a playful smirk upon her face, earning a judging look from her more conservative husband. âNo, wait, I second that. Have as much fun as you want. I am a cool parent,â she spoke, changing her mind in a matter of seconds. âAnd I plan on becoming a cool grandparent.â
At first, I wanted to remind her that weâre too young for children. Besides, technically, we only went on one date. It was definitely too soon to even think about these things, let alone talk about them out loud.
Thankfully, before I managed to say something Iâd regret, Jiwoo honked, urging us to get going. If it wasnât for her impatience, I mightâve ruined the image I had built for myself in Jaeminâs parentsâ eyes.
âYour mother was joking! Always use protection,â Mr. Na hollered before he closed the doors after us.
***
Except for a few playful comments shot toward Jaemin and me, the ride was peaceful. As soon as we threw our suitcases into the trunk and squeezed in on the backseat, we hit the road. Jamming to Jiwooâs playlist, we chatted in excitement, all of us in desperate need of a little vacation. It was a stressful time of a year, but maybe this short trip would actually help us recharge the batteries and calm down after busting our asses off.
âHow was the dinner?â Jiwoo asked, staring at us in the rearview mirror. Since there was a limited amount of space, I was almost sitting on Jaeminâs laps. Jiwoo didnât miss it with her eagle eyes. The way Jaemin played with my fingers didnât go unnoticed, either.
âBearable,â I muttered under my breath, not really wanting to recollect these memories now. Iâd probably tell Jiwoo everything later, and she understood the subliminal message in a heartbeat. âHow was your test?â
âI probably failed, but, at least, now I know what to expect,â Jiwoo answered as she turned to the left as the navigation system instructed her to.
In about two hours, we arrived at our destination.
Having stepped into the cabin with our heavy luggage in our hands, we encountered the middle of the party. A handful of beer bottles were scattered around the living area, the boys fervently discussing some matter.
âYouâre finally here,â Jaehyun spoke matter-of-factly, as he noticed us in the threshold. âGo upstairs and leave your stuff in your rooms. Weâve already assigned them; just read the post-it notes stuck to the doors,â he explained before he turned away.
Huh, apparently, they were pros at planning.
The guys rented a cabin that consisted of six tiny bedrooms. Generally, we wouldnât have a problem assigning them; however, since Jaehyun, Lucas, and Johnny didnât want to room with anyone, we were facing a dilemma. They guys wanted to have some privacy if they managed to pick someone up at the hotel in the neighborhood. In this case, the six of us had to share rooms. Jiwoo and Yeri could room together. Renjun and Chenle could occupy another one, so it looked like they put Jaemin and me in the last one.
Thankfully, it wouldnât be the first time when I had to share a bed with Jaemin. He had stayed the night plenty of times before when he dozed off during our Netflix marathons. However, it still was to be a little bit awkward since everybody thought we began dating. We were going to pull through, though.
As soon as possible, we came back downstairs, ready to even the score of consumed alcohol. All of us needed it. Everybody had a different reason for it, but none of our troubles were to be discussed tonight.
In the fridge, there was a whole palette of different types of alcohol. Quickly, I grabbed two tequila-flavored beers, handing one to Jaemin, allowing others to choose their poison.
My plan for tonight was to test every kind of alcohol, gradually going up with the percentages. It was a bad idea, but thatâs what college was about â having fun like thereâre no consequences.
We partied like thereâs no tomorrow.
At first, we kept it simple. Fervent conversations led us to shout at one another, trying to force one perspective over the others. We were going through so many subjects that any sober bystander mightâve had real trouble comprehending how we managed to switch among them.
Then, someone suggested playing a drinking game. Of course, it had to be never have I ever. Everybody had so much fun, especially when the participants yelled at Jaemin and me because we didnât even bother to abide by the rules. We were sipping our drinks whenever we felt like it, even between rounds, and it didnât sit right with the rest. Eventually, they kicked us out of their little circle, giving us the crucial task of bringing some snacks from the kitchen.
Sometime past midnight, Jiwoo proposed going outside. It was beautifully snowing, but at the same time, it was freezing. Though I was opposed to this idea, everybody seemed to love it. The guys were throwing snowballs at each other, bringing out their inner child.
As if this wasnât enough, they decided to take a stroll to the seaside. Though our cabin was maybe a mile away from the seashore, I didnât particularly fancy the saunter. Jaemin was by my side, offering to warm my hand in his pocket, but I still was on the verge of freezing my ass off. Iâd much rather sit by the fireplace under a few blankets with a mug of the mulled wine in my grasp. Apparently, everybody besides me was really intrigued by an ice bath and other winter extreme sports.
Though it was dangerous as fuck, Jiwoo took off her shoes and rolled up her jeans before she walked into the ice water of the sea. Being the dumbass he was, Lucas instantly followed suit.
âThey seem to hit it off tonight,â I nonchalantly whispered as I elbowed Jaehyun. Jiwoo and Jaehyun might have a thing going on, but neither of them acted on it. Jiwoo was too whipped to make a move, too afraid of rejection. Jaehyun, on the other hand, was just a fuckboy, not really looking for a relationship. âLook at them. Donât they look cute?â I carried on, cautiously watching Jaehyunâs expression. They werenât together, but he seemed slightly jealous and frustrated watching her have lots of fun with Lucas.
In my opinion, he didnât deserve her, but I didnât really have a say in that matter. Jaehyun was the person Jiwooâs heart longed for, and I, being her best friend, had to support that. Or, in this case, I had to give him a little push to get things in motion.
Jaehyun had some feelings for Jiwoo, but he needed some time and character development to fully comprehend them. Until then, it was my duty to remind him what heâs missing out on by not being serious enough to ask her out.
âNah, I wouldnât call them cute,â Jaehyun murmured through gritted teeth, positively jealous. âWhat theyâre doing is dangerous; somebody has to stop them,â he added before he kicked off his own shoes, running toward Jiwoo to pick her up and bring her back to the shore.
âWhat was that?â Jaemin asked, being shook as to what he had witnessed.
âWhat was what? What do you mean?â I smirked, winking at him, hoping he wouldnât tell anyone about it. âI didnât do anything.â
âYou played him,â Jaemin spoke, still impressed by how easily I manipulated Jaehyun into stepping into the scene, pulling Jiwoo away from Lucas. âIs this even legal? Youâve never done this one me, have you?â
âNo, of course, not! Donât be ridiculous,â I answered, though my tone suggested a completely different message. âYou wouldâve known, wouldnât you?â I teased, chuckling at Jaeminâs funny expression. He was mortified. âI think youâre overreacting. I just pointed out some facts, and Jaehyun reacted to them according to his emotional opinion. I really didnât do anything,â I added, defending my case.
âDonât you ever try pulling a trick like that on me, okay?â Jaemin stated, and I nodded, giving him a promise. âI mean⌠I wouldnât fall for it, but still, donât.â
âWe should head back to the cabin,â Johnny shouted, gathering the gang. Surprisingly, he seemed the most sober amongst us, so it didnât come as a shock to me that he tried to look after his hammered friends.
In my opinion, it was a perfect call. I was slowly sobering up, and I definitely needed a refill. With my schedule packed, I had no idea when I would have a chance for another getaway, so I had to make the most out of this one.
As we returned to the cabin, Jaehyunâs eyes didnât leave Jiwoo.
Jaemin, on the other hand, went upstairs to grab his camera, deciding it was the best time to snap photos. Of course, he had to take pictures of us when we were drunk out of our minds. Why didnât he take any when we looked decent without smudged make-up?
âSexy,â Jaemin commented as he pointed his camera at me. âAhh, sexy,â he kept calling me that, and I stuck my tongue at him, wanting him to go away pester someone else. My hair was a mess, and my lipstick smudged off my lips a long time ago. âSo sexy,â he carried on, making me roll my eyes at him. At some point, I tried kicking him, but that bastard was beyond my reach.
Around 2 oâclock, one by one, we began feeling tired.
Lucas was the first one to go. Considering how much alcohol he had drunk, I was surprised he lasted that long. Better yet, it was a shock he could even stand straight. Jaemin and Renjun had to escort him upstairs, but nonetheless, his alcohol tolerance was impressive.
I didnât even realize when, but Yeri and Chenle managed to fall asleep on the couch. Firmly, Renjun shook them away, ordering them to go to their respective rooms. With tired yawns, they made their way upstairs, falling on their beds face-first.
âLetâs go to sleep,â Jaemin pouted as he sat on the side of the armchair, resting his head on my shoulder. Entwining his hand in mine, he stood up, pulling me up.
âHave fun, guys. Weâre calling it a night,â I announced, refraining from yawning.
âNo, you have fun,â Jiwoo replied, sending us a wink. Shaking my head, I sighed before we disappeared upstairs. I donât know what she was thinking; however, I didnât have the energy to keep my eyes open, let alone other nighttime activities. Besides, Jaemin was just as spent. Even if we were in a real relationship, we wouldnât engage in half-conscious unsatisfactory messy sex.
âCome here,â Jaemin whispered as he smiled. His eyes were already closed as he patted the mattress beside him, waiting for me to join. âGood job. I think we really sold it to everybody,â he added as he snuggled closer, wrapping his limbs around my body.
âThatâs good,â I purred, slowly drifting into dreamland. It was a long day, and it was finally over. Though it had a rough beginning, I ended it in Jaeminâs arms. âGood night.â
âGood night, my love,â Jaemin muttered, resting his head on my pillow right beside my face.
âYou were supposed to change that name,â I replied, too drunk or/and too tired to realize it was his spoken words and not a text message.
 ***
During the second week of our relationship, we grew to be less tense around each other. Better yet, we seemed awfully comfortable, almost as if thatâs how everything was meant to be. It was a little bit alarming, but I decided not to point that out. Even if it was just an act, I enjoyed it much more than Iâd ever dare to admit. As long as it lasted, I was to savor it.
Ever since we came back from the weekend trip, Jaemin would pop up out of nowhere at least once a day with a surprise for me, proving how over the top he could be in courting a woman.
On Monday, he spammed his social media feed with my pictures from the trip. Of course, he didnât forget to put a corny description under it, making me flustered. Even though I wouldnât consider myself photogenic, Jaemin managed to bring out my best features with his photography talent and editing skills.
On Tuesday, Jaemin was waiting outside the auditorium with a cute bouquet of my favorite flowers â white roses. He was there to congratulate me on passing my last exam of the semester. The professor would send us results by the end of the week, but according to Jaemin, there was no chance Iâd fail it.
âI still donât get it how you do it,â Jaemin mused, scratching his temple, trying to put two and two together. âI hardly ever see you study, but then, you panic before an exam only to nail it later on. What kind of black magic is this?â He wondered, and I giggled, unable to explain my poor studying technique. I just winged it last minute every single time in my academic career.
âYou better be right about this one,â I replied, still anxious about my grade. I didnât manage to answer all of the questions, so a passing grade would be a relief. âIâm craving pasta. Do you want t go on a celebratory date?â
âYouâre reading my mind,â Jaemin said, grabbing my hand, leading me to our favorite restaurant.
On Wednesday, Jaemin invited me to a bowling alley. Every month he would visit the establishment with his friends. Only on rare occasions, their significant others were invited. None of them could really commit to a serious relationship, so it never became a repetitive custom of their group.
âYou guys are disgusting,â Haechan whined after our turn. Jaemin and I were losing by an enormous margin, but we didnât mind. We were having fun despite a low score. âBut at least, weâre winning,â Haechan added, pointing at Chenle and himself.
âI am the winner here,â Jaemin boldly announced, giving my hand a light squeeze, making me almost spit my soda.
Everybody cringed at Jaeminâs bold corny statement.
âI second that,â Haechan mused, looking away from Jaemin. âSheâs bearable, and you are just absolutely repulsive,â he corrected himself, and I chuckled. Never in my entire life, I thought I would agree on something with Haechan, but this moment occurred right then.
On Thursday, although my schedule was packed with work, Jaemin insisted on hanging out. Tired out of my mind, I let Jaemin inside the apartment. He was carrying Mexican takeout; I couldnât send him back home. Not when he had goodies.
âWhat do you want to watch?â I asked as I handed him the remote, allowing him to choose the movie. I was going to pass out anyway, so he mightâve as well picked something he liked.
âAnything is good,â he answered as he unwrapped his quesadilla, taking a bite off of it.
âThe Notebook it is then,â I teased, but since Jaemin didnât stop me, I put it on.
Having eaten my portion of a delicious meal, I lay down on the couch, resting my head on Jaeminâs thighs. I didnât even realize when I fell asleep. Only when the credits were rolling down on the screen, Jaemin shook me awake.
âWhen did you fall asleep?â Jaemin inquired, a little bit mad that I forced him to watch the ultimate romantic movie of the twenty-first century. It was toxic as hell, and the way their behavior got romanticized didnât sit right with me.
âAs soon as I lay down,â I answered honestly, as I rolled around, staring at Jaeminâs handsome face. âHow did you like the movie?â I asked innocently, swiftly changing the topic. It was for the better if Jaemin didnât find out I paid no attention to the film. Instead of a great viewing experience, it was just a mere background noise that lulled me to sleep.
âI didnât,â Jaemin whined, tapping his foot against the floor, making me sit up instantly. âIt was toxic and sad at the same time. Noah was a manipulative jerk, and Allie was moody as fuck. The only bright side of their relationship is that they ended up with each other, not ruining other peopleâs lives,â Jaemin spoke the truth, and I couldnât agree more. âIn conclusion, give me my 2 hours back,â he added, and I hit him with a cushion.
Unable to comprehend what I just did, Jaemin blinked in confusion. Then, a few seconds later, he smirked and grabbed another cushion, ready to fight back.
Unfortunately, our childish antics were interrupted by Jiwoo. She was hanging out with Yuta, studying for the exam they had to retake the next day. To be completely honest, she couldnât have any worse timing. While watching a movie was explainable, it wasnât the case when it came to an impromptu pillow fight.
âShould I come back later, or something?â Jiwoo asked, pointing at the doors, willing to leave if it meant for me to get laid.
âNah, Jaeminâs leaving. I am trying to kick him out, actually,â I announced, sticking my tongue out.
On Friday, Jaemin and I planned on going to the arcade. Unfortunately, we had to raincheck that. One of Jaeminâs coworkers fell sick, and Jaemin had to take a double shift at the coffee shop in his neighborhood.
I already had canceled my other plans to hang out with Jaemin, so I didnât really want to stay at home all by myself. It was a Friday night, after all. Surprising him at work seemed like a better idea. His friends liked hanging out there; therefore, it mustâve been an excellent excuse for a little bit of acting in order to keep up appearances.
Quickly, I assembled a cute outfit and put on light make-up.
About an hour before the closing, I entered the coffee shop. Except for a few students with their noses in their computers, the establishment was empty.
âWelcome toâ,â Jaemin hollered, ready to welcome the customers. âOh, itâs you. What are you doing here?â He asked as a wide smile spread across his face, enjoying my surprise.
âI just came to surprise you,â I confessed, though none of us paid enough attention to the gravity of my words. I genuinely wanted to hang out Jaemin him as his girlfriend. âAnd I also wanted to get some discounted goodies. What do you have left?â I asked, looking over his shoulder, trying to see what food didnât sell yet. An hour before the closing, everything on the menu was discounted by seventy percent, and I just couldnât walk past that kind of deal.
âYouâre not the only one who came for cheap stuff,â Jaemin commented as he saw Haechan and Renjun on the other side of the doors. âTake a seat, Iâll bring you your favorite,â he added, and I smiled at him, walking to the booth by the window.
Having finished my Greek sandwich, I focused on my cup of tea. I was scrolling through social media feed, giggling whenever I stumbled upon a funny meme. It was a perfect evening; complete relaxation in the rhythm of soft foreign jazz music playing through speakers, Jaemin checking up on me once every a couple of minutes.
âOh, hi, there,â Haechan hollered as soon as he noticed me. He mustâve been returning to his table from a restroom. âI didnât realize youâre here. Whatâs up?â We werenât close, so his question was more like a polite generic statement rather than genuine curiosity.
âIâm waiting for Jaemin to finish, so we can hang out at my place,â I answered, hoping Haechan would get the suggestive tone.
âActually, thereâs something you should know,â he said quietly, looking around, probably checking if Jaemin was within earshot. âI am so ashamed it happened, but I really have to tell you something,â Haechan added, and I couldnât wait for him to reveal the secret.
Haechan was playing dirty. He wanted to tell me about the bet, ruining Jaeminâs chance at getting me to sleep with him. It was some top-tier double-crossing, and I found it impressive. I had no clue Haechan had it in him.
âWe shouldnât have done it. I donât know why we even agreed to this,â Haechan added, scratching the back of his head, trying to sound genuinely regretful. âI think Jaeminâs not genuine about the thing you have going on. You see, we made a bet. He has to have sex with you, or else he owes Chenle 500 bucks.â
âWhat?!â I exclaimed, hoping my consternation was believable. At first, I felt the temptation to say something along, yeah, I know, whatâs new, but then I decided to play along. It was actually a good idea to make it seem like Jaeminâs about to lose the bet. Knowing them, they wouldnât call it off. If anything, Jaemin could double the stakes. âNo, it canât be true. Jaemin would never ââ
Now, it was my cue to make a scene. Hopefully, it would play out exactly like in my impromptu prediction.
Reaching the stage of fake hysteria, I rose from my seat and stormed to Jaemin. He was energetically wiping off the tables, wanting to leave shortly after the last customer.
âIs that true? Did you really make a bet you can have sex with me?â I yelled at him through gritted teeth. Jaemin, on the other hand, was confused as fuck. âDid you really think you could get away with it? You disgust me!â I shouted, slapping his cheek. âDonât ever call me again,â I added before I turned on my heel, storming out of the coffee shop.
Being the only employee at work, Jaemin couldnât run after me.
Jaemin deserved an explanation. I had to fill him in on my wonderful plan before he would blow it in front of Renjun and Haechan.

Everything went according to my plan. The guys thought I was pissed with Jaemin, while Jaemin still tried to convince them he stands a chance to court me. It was kind of ironic, they wanted to play me, but it was them getting played.
Together with Jiwoo and Ten, we came extra early to Jaehyunâs party. Still being stuck in friendzone, Jiwoo went out of her way to help him out. Today it meant setting up all types of decorations all over the fraternity house and preparing different kinds of snacks.
Around seven, an Uber pulled up in front of our building. Not to brag, but despite the limited amount of time, we managed to dress up to the nines.
I decided to keep it simple. My outfit consisted of a pair of skinny high-waisted black jeans, a long-sleeved sequin embellished crop top, and a pair of ankle-high boots.
Jiwoo, on the other hand, was wearing a two-piece baby pink dress and a pair of massive mid-thigh black leather platform combat boots. She looked fierce, like a weird baby of 90âs Britney Spears and Marilyn Mason.
Though Tenâs outfit looked the most effortless, it took him longer than us to put it together. Having thrown every single thing from his closet on the bed, Ten experienced a mild crisis. Even though he looked gorgeous in everything, he didnât seem to believe us. Only after the off-hand intervention, he agreed to play it cool with a pair of ripped jeans, a black shirt with three top buttons left untouched, and an oversized leather jacket.
Once we arrived at Jaehyunâs fraternity, nothing was ready. Thankfully, it wasnât my problem. Jiwoo was the one who volunteered to help out. Ten and I were about to vibe in the corner, letting other people arrange the place according to Jaehyunâs vision.
Trying our best not to disturb others, Ten and I watched the way the smelly fraternity sex mansion turned into a festive valentineâs manor.
âI hope sheâs gonna get laid today,â I whispered into Tenâs ear, looking at Jiwoo working like a busy bee around the house.
âShe better; thatâs really painful to look at,â Ten agreed, looking a little bit disappointed. Jiwoo was at Jaehyunâs beck and call, and it was about time he acknowledged her feelings.
Around nine oâclock, it was getting a little bit crowded.
Music was blasting through the speakers. Some of the fratboys were already looking for their next conquest. Girls were dancing on a makeshift dance floor in the middle of the living area, suggestively swaying their hips, teasing whoever was watching with their sexy moves.
Later on, when I was in the middle of my fourth drink of the night, Jaemin finally showed up. Together with Haechan, Jeno, Renjun, and Chenle, they walked through the threshold. They all looked great, but Jaemin stood out in the crowd. After all, he was the only one to put on a suit jacket over his white T-shirt. While the rest rocked the comfortable outfits, Jaemin opted for a more elegant look.
Almost as if he wanted to impress someone. Or at least, apologize properly, trying every sly trick to make me forgive him.
Upon entrance, his eyes searched me in the crowd, and when he met my gaze, a smile stretched across his face. Shyly, he raised his hand, wanting to wave at me, but since I stubbornly turned my head around, playing my role of offended woman, he lowered it.
âIâve seen an ATM on our way here,â Renjun commented, knowing Jaemin didnât stand a chance of winning the bet.
âIt wonât be necessary,â Jaemin replied, following me with his gaze. âI didnât lose it yet,â he added, and the guys laughed at him. There was no way he still thought he could woo me. âI still have a few hours left; I am not going to give up.â
âYouâre such a loser,â Jeno interjected as regret washed through him. Although he didnât actively participate when the bet was placed, he didnât oppose it. He was an idle bystander, allowing other people to ruin our friendship. It didnât sit right with him, but it was too late. The damage was already done, and Jaemin was going to embarrass himself even further. âShe doesnât deserve any of this.â
âItâs not like that,â Jaemin started, but he refused to explain how exactly it was like.
âYouâre still gonna fail,â Haechan added with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders. Back at the coffee shop, he ruined Jaeminâs chance for success. âHey there, beautiful,â Haechan spoke when his attention was snatched by one of the girls who walked past them.
Once the boys divided to greet other friends, Jaemin strolled to the kitchen. I was there, and he needed to initiate the first step of our plan.
Sincere apology.
âCan we talk?â Jaemin whispered as he reached out to grab my hand, interrupting my conversation with Ten and Yeri. âLet me explain. You donât have to say anything. I just want you to listen to me,â he asked, and I unwillingly complied, letting him lead me toward an abandoned corner in the living area. No one could hear us talk, but at the same time, everybody could see us.
âWhat do you want, Jaemin,â I barked, folding my arms across my chest, startling myself with how good I managed to behave like an angry ex-girlfriend. Though it was my last semester, maybe I should change my major to professional acting.
âWow. Youâre too good at this,â Jaemin commented before he proceeded with his part. âAnyway, I made this card for you. I hope it finds you well,â he announced before he pulled an envelope out of the inner pocket of his suit jacket.
Cautiously, I took the valentineâs card out of the envelope. Once I saw the front page, I couldnât help but laugh. Jaemin mustâve done it himself, or he stole it from Jenoâs four-year-old niece. It was all covered in hearty stickers and glitter.
Jaemin definitely wasnât a poet. He had never stood next to one, either.
Instead of a heartfelt apology and love confession, there was a short corny message which simultaneously made me cringe and chuckle.
Are you a ba-NANA? Cause I find you a-peeling.
From Your Love
P.S. itâs from me, your Jaemin
âYouâve really outdone yourself,â I spoke, shaking my head, trying my best not to grin. I was supposed to hate him, but it was too difficult. âI am gonna walk away now. Approach me once you raise the stakes.â
Although I didnât want to party without Jaemin by my side, it was what I had to do. Having sent him a faint smile, I turned around and walked away, giving Jaemin some time to initiate part two of our plan.
Having drunk a few fancy shots Ten had made for me, we hit the dance floor. At first, we just jumped in the rhythm. However, when the DJ played the song we had practiced at the dance studio, everybody stepped to the side, making enough room to let us perform the choreography.
With alcohol coursing in my system, my moves werenât as precise as usual â they still earned a round of applause.
âHey, hey, hey, are you having fun?â Drunk as a skunk, Jaehyun shouted through the microphone connected to the DJâs console. âHow about we slow up the tempo?â Jaehyun yelled, and everybody cheered, making a lot of noise. âTonightâs the love festival, and I, the valentineâs boy, specifically request every find a person to slow dance with.â
Having set the microphone aside, Jaehyun pushed DJ away from the console, putting on his Cigarettes After Sex playlist. The first song which graced our ears was Nothingâs Gonna Hurt You.
âCan I have this dance?â Jaemin appeared out of nowhere by my side, extending his hand for me to take. âPlease?â He looked into my eyes, waiting for my response, looking hopeful.
As soon as I nodded, Jaemin grabbed my hand and gently pulled me against his firm body, resting his left hand on my back, holding me still, making sure Iâd not run away. With my head resting against his chest, we swayed slowly, getting lost in our little world.
âThey think I am a terrible person,â Jaemin whispered into my ear, his breath tickling my skin. âThey seriously think Iâd try to ruin our friendship with this bet,â he carried on, and I hummed, taking an inhale, getting hit with Jaeminâs musky cologne.
The boys truly underestimated the power of our friendship. Jaemin and I told each other almost everything. It was bold of them to assume I had no idea about the bet.
âDonât worry about it,â I replied as I had closed my eyes, getting lost in the moment. âEverything will come back to normal soon enough,â I added, trying to ignore the bittersweet taste of my statement. Our fake relationship had an expiration date, and it was near.
âYouâre right. Everything will come back to normal,â Jaemin repeated my words as he rested his chin on top of my head, pulling me even closer. âYouâre the best fake girlfriend Iâve ever had,â he added, pressing an innocent peck against my hairline.
âHow many fake girlfriends have you had?â I asked, chuckling, sounding a bit jealous.
âAnyway,â Jaemin started, trying to change the subject. âThe guys took the bait. And now, judging by the stupid looks on their faces, theyâre shitting their pants.â
âOnce the song is over, we should initiate the third phase of our plan,â I commented, wanting to be over with this. In about a minute, I was about to pull Jaemin out of the dance floor and lead him to the bathroom upstairs, where we would do the deed.
When another song from Jaehyunâs playlist echoed in the room, all the other couples kept dancing. Jaemin and I, on the other hand, were about to not so discreetly sneak upstairs.
Unfortunately, we met an obstacle on our path.
It was Jaehyun, pointing his phone at our faces.
âItâs a kiss cam. Do what you gotta do,â he spoke, and I creased my forehead in utter confusion. What the hell was he doing? What the hell was a kiss cam? It was a frat party, not a baseball match. Didnât he have a beer pong championship to win or something?
âWhat?â
âDo I really have to explain this to everyone? Jesus,â Jaehyun complained, taking a deep sigh, trying to ease his irritation. âItâs Valentineâs day! I am Valentineâs boy! And this is a kiss cam. You kiss, and I take pictures,â he explained, but I wasnât convinced. âHurry up! I have to take like 50 more of them.â
At first, I didnât want to do it. But then, a thought crossed my mind. Who would believe Jaemin and I had sex if I refused to give him a kiss. It was just one kiss; it wouldnât hurt.
Having licked my lips, I smiled at Jaemin before I wrapped my hands around his neck, giving him a chaste smooch. It lasted maybe a few seconds, but it still made me uneasy. Even if it was just a brief peck, it was too much for my poor heart.
âWhat the fuck was that?â Jaehyun groaned in disappointment. âOne more time, guys. Thatâs how you kiss your mother, not your girlfriend. You can do better.â
âShow him how itâs done, Jaemin,â I encouraged him, giving him permission to assault my lips, hoping it would happen to be one hell of a performance.
Having smirked, Jaemin leaned forward, pressing his lips gently against mine. Cautiously, he deepened the kiss, knocking the air out of my lungs, making my legs shake under my weight. His hands held my chin in place as his tongue slipped through my lips.
Out of a sudden, nothing else mattered. Jaemin and I were in our bubble, and despite it being a one-time thing, I wished it lasted forever. Whatever expectations I had about this moment, it wasnât even close to reality.
Jaehyun cleared his throat, wanting to pull us out of our trance. In vain, though. I moved my lips against Jaeminâs in slow sync, letting the sweet sensation strip me of the last remains of dignity. I was to savor every second of it, basking in bliss.
âEkhem,â Jaehyun grunted, starting to feel a little bit flustered. âYou guys done?â
Once we broke apart to take a breath, Jaehyun spoke again.
âHave you seen Jiwoo, by the way?â
âYeah, I think she went for a smoke with Lucas,â I answered casually, watching panic display on Jaehyunâs face. It was evident he didnât fancy the newfound information. âShe went outside like half an hour ago, though. I wonder what it takes them so long,â I added, planting another grain of doubt in his subconscious.
As soon as anxiety downed on him, Jaehyun bolted outside. He better, though. If Jaehyun wasnât going to make a move on Jiwoo tonight, I was about to find another guy to ship her with.
âYou did it again,â Jaemin pointed out, and I just shrugged, dismissing his comment. So what? One push in the right direction wasnât enough for Jaehyun to grow up, so I decided to be generous enough to give him a second chance.
âAre you ready for phase three?â I asked Jaemin, but before he managed to reply, I grabbed his hand, pulling him across the dance floor. Giggling, I ran through the sea of people, not so accidentally bumping into Chenle, almost spilling his beer.
âOh my god, I am so sorry,â I hollered, giggling. Now, when I had Chenleâs attention, we could sneak upstairs to proceed with the final step of our plan. âCome on, Jaemin, letâs go. I am horny,â I added, probably overdoing my part. Unfortunately, the words were already spoken. I couldnât take them back.
Having locked the bathroom doors behind us, I jumped onto the countertop. âDonât you think itâs a bit creepy theyâre gonna eavesdrop on us bang? Itâs kinda off-putting, you knowâŚâ
When Jaemin wanted to speak, somebody knocked on the doors. It mustâve been one of Jaeminâs friends, checking if we were indeed fucking. âItâs occupied,â Jaemin hollered, mentioning for me to start my performance.
âFuck, Jaemin! Eat me out, already,â I yelled, pressing my hands against my mouth, trying to stifle my laugher. This situation was ridiculous, and I couldnât help myself but giggle. I had only a few drinks, yet I felt like I was high as a kite. âYes, like that! AhhhâŚâ
âCanât wait to fuck that tight hole,â Jaemin played along, almost dying of alcohol-induced tittering. We were definitely having too much fun.
âRight there, Jaemin!â I screamed, holding my stomach as it began aching due to excessive cackling. âFuck, fuck, fuck, right there,â I moaned loudly, kicking my head back. âDonât tease me, please!â
âI gotta get you ready for my cock, love,â Jaemin growled, and I gasped, my mind conjuring the forbidden imageÂŽ.
âJust fuck me! I need your cock inside of me now!â I groaned, hoping whoever was on the other side of the doors heard enough of what was going inside. âMmmm⌠you stretch me out so wellâŚâ I purred, almost falling off the counter when another round of uncontrollable laughter tried to erupt from my throat.
âFuck, youâre still so tight.â
âJaemin! Fuck, I am close. Keep going,â I yelled, mentally preparing for the big finale. This whole act was a vocal performance, and it was time I finished. âIâm coming! Come with me!â
âIt was spectacular,â Jaemin whispered so only I could hear him. âI have one more favor, though,â he added, shying away. Oh no, he was about to ask about something stupid.
âWhat is it?â
âIt couldâve been some random dude,â he admitted, scratching the back of his head, unsure how to voice his supplication. âGive me your panties. Itâll be the definite proof.â
âYouâre joking,â I deadpanned, staring into his eyes, waiting for him to say it was just a harmless prank. âYouâre serious,â I added as soon as I realized Jaemin meant it.
âCome on, I wonât be sniffing them,â Jaemin nagged, and I rolled my eyes. I didnât even think about it, but now that he mentioned it, I had another reason not to comply with his weird-ass request. âIâll give them back, I promise.â
âI canât believe I am considering this,â I cursed under my breath. If any other person would like such a favor from me, Iâd deny it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I had a soft spot for Jaemin, so denying him didnât come easy to me.
Hell, I wouldnât be here if I was able to say no to him.
âYou owe me big time,â I caved in, jumping off the countertop, stepping behind the shower curtain, providing myself with some privacy. âDonât peek. Even if I slip, you gotta stay on the other side. Got it?â I added as I stuck my head through the curtain.
âScoutâs honor,â Jaemin pledged, and I rolled my eyes. He was a scout for maybe a week. His honor didnât mean shit.
Clumsily, I took off my shoes and jeans. âHere,â I warned before I threw my panties over the curtain. âI am too sober for this,â I nagged, trying to put my skinny jeans back on.
âLetâs do celebratory shots!â Jaemin suggested, balling up my undergarments, hiding them in his pocket. âWe deserve it,â he added, landing me a helping hand when I was stepping out of the shower.
âLetâs go.â
***
Needless to say, Jaemin won the bet.
Unfortunately, it meant the inevitable end of our fake relationship. It was fun when it lasted, and though Iâd miss these times, it was time to set the record straight.
As we had discussed, we had to arrange our break up.
Sometime next week, Jaemin stopped by to give me half of the prize. Since the boys had been stupid enough to fall for our little charade, I received a large sum of money. It was Chenle who sponsored the prize. Because of that, I didnât feel particularly sorry about deceiving them. After all, Chenle was so loaded; he wouldnât notice if he lost that kind of money on the street. I could finally buy these shoes which I had been dreaming of for so long! Better yet, I'd still have some money left to spoil myself some more.
âHow should we do it?â Jaemin asked quietly. Ever since he came, he avoided my gaze, staring at the floor.
âI donât know,â I unwillingly answered. This conversation was the last thing I wanted to do right now, but it had to be done. Better sooner or later, before Iâd catch some real feelings for Jaemin. I had no idea how I would pick up the pieces of my broken heart if we kept this act any longer. âLetâs just delete all posts we published. Someone will figure out somethingâs wrong, and when they spread the word, weâll explain we decided to remain friends.â
Maybe I wasnât in tears, but I felt regret wash through me. Though our relationship had never been a real thing, it felt like it.
And it hurt.
âAlright then,â Jaemin complied, rubbing his hands against his thighs before he pulled out his phone to erase any digital footprint of our brief romance. His thumb hovered over the delete button for a while. After a few moments of hesitation, when he didnât hear any sign of protest from my side, he pressed it, sending our memories to a bottomless void. âAnd itâs gone.â
âAre we cool?â I asked, hoping that nothing would change between us. I had a hunch it would take me some time to get used to how things had been before the relationship fiasco. Nonetheless, I still had hope we could remain best friends without any awkwardness.
âOf course,â Jaemin answered with a faint smile, but I didnât fully believe him. Something was off, and it bothered us. Shame that none of us dared to begin this topic.
After he left that day, we saw each other very seldom. We barely even spoke to one another. If it wasnât for the group chats we were both in, we wouldnât talk at all.
Jaemin had said we were cool, but it was evident we werenât.
It was eating me from the inside out, but whenever somebody asked me about the break-up, Iâd always shrug it off, confirming everythingâs great. I would tell our friends nothing changed between us. There was nothing wrong; our schedules are just incompatible these days.
When I had pretended I was in a relationship with Jaemin, it was easy. It came naturally, and everyone ate it up without any second thoughts. Unfortunately, now, when I was trying to play it cool, no one seemed to buy it. Thankfully, they didnât confront me about it. Instead, they offered me their support if I ever needed anything.
In my head, I had a few wild scenarios in which I tell Jaemin we should date for real. However, at the same time, a little devil on my shoulder was telling me it should never leave the realm of fantasy. Itâs ridiculous to think Jaemin would reciprocate my feelings.
I felt as if sadness took over my body. Though I was smiling on the outside, I was filled with regret. Barely anything sparked joy these gloomy days. Even this pair of shoes, which I wanted so badly, didnât stir any positive emotion. I bought them, but I never took them out of the box.
Jiwoo had taken me out on a few girlsâ nights to make me feel better. Men are trash â she would always say when Jaehyun ignored her yet another text. Even though they had fucked each other at Jaehyunâs birthday party and agreed to become exclusive, Jaehyun still had lots of problems committing to a monogamous relationship. They hadnât officially labeled it, but everyone knew Jaehyun was slowly caving in.
Fratboysâ habits die hard, but Jaehyun was finally shaping himself into boyfriend material. He no longer slept around, as far to my knowledge at least, but he still lacked in some departments. For instance, it would take him way too much to text back.
âYou were so adorable together,â Jiwoo began after she gulped down another rum and coke. Despite her high alcohol tolerance, she was already drunk, speaking with no filter. âI mean⌠you were simping for him for so long, and you finally managed to jump that dick.â
âYour point beingâŚâ I inquired, finishing my drink. Though Jaemin and I had never had sex, I didnât want to admit that. What would Jiwoo thought if I told her it was all-pretend?
âI shipped you guys so hard,â Jiwoo confessed. âTen shipped you too, but he will never admit that,â she added, and I giggled. Now, that was an interesting take. Ten was so random at many aspects of life; it came to me as a surprise he even had an opinion on my relationship with Jaemin. âCan I just take some duck tape and put my ship back together?â
âI am not sure Jaemin would like that,â I answered with a sigh, my mood instantly decreasing.
âNonsense,â Jiwoo replied in a heartbeat. âThis guy is even worse than you,â she revealed, and I rolled my eyes, not buying this. At least a few times a week, at my lowest moments, I happened to check Jaeminâs social media updates. He didnât seem to mope around at all.
âI find it hard to believe,â I muttered, trying not to get too emotional.
âI mean it,â Jiwoo confirmed her previous statement, eager to explain her thesis. âJaehyun and I went on a little date to the coffee shop where Jaemin works,â she started, and I nodded, not really sure what she was getting at. Nonetheless, I let her continue. I was curious what Jaemin had been up to. And since he didnât seem to want to tell me anything himself, Iâd accept any type of second-hand information from Jiwoo. âJaemin misses you. You have no idea how many times I caught him daydreaming. He still has your photo set on his lock screen, and he stares at it a lot.â
Now, thatâs interesting.
I had no recollection of Jaemin ever setting my photo as his background picture. Even if Jiwoo was right, it meant he set after we had broken up. It made no sense at all, and I was too drunk to try to comprehend the meaning of this.
Instead, I ordered another round, trying to stifle all the brooding emotions within me.
***
February was the month of parties. Too many birthdays fell during this hectic period, and I had trouble keeping up with them. Fortunately, Tenâs party was the last one of the month. After a small get together at our place, Iâd have some time off to relax by myself, most preferably, without alcohol.
Being the semi-hosts with Jiwoo, it was our duty to help Ten organize everything regarding his party. Though our trio was a little bit disorganized, somehow, we managed to get everything ready before anyone arrived.
Maybe it wasnât comparable to birthday parties at fraternity houses; it still had its charm. It wasnât as wild, but guests still were having a great time in the company of their closest friends. However, what was the most important, Ten had a blast.
It was his day; he deserved everything he wanted.
Trying my best not to embarrass Ten, I decided to socialize with his friends.
It was time I move on. It took me way too long to mourn a relationship that wasnât even real. I couldnât let my brooding mood ruin the party.
âHmm⌠Ten has never mentioned you before,â I confessed, not finding it particularly odd. Ten didnât have secretive nature; he just wasnât the type of person to over-share. And he often forgot to even mention stuff about his personal life.
âI canât say I am surprised,â Hendery replied, making me giggle. It was fun chatting with him. Hendery was hilarious, and he knew many secrets regarding Ten. It was my mission to get as much information from him as it was possible. I would need it for blackmailing purposes, of course.
Hiding out in the kitchen, we sipped beer and exchanged rumors as if we were two gossip girls. It was too entertaining to stop. I was incredibly immersed in the conversation; I didnât even realize when someone tapped my shoulder.
âCan we talk?â I heard the question, recognizing the voice in an instant. It belonged to Jaemin, and it seemed to be laced with both jealousy and irritation. The way he phased his plea gave me flashbacks of the conversation we had at Jaehyunâs party.
I really wanted to continue my discussion with Hendery, but I couldnât say no to Jaemin. It wasnât how my brain was programmed. Besides, I missed him a lot.
âExcuse me, Iâll be right back,â I told Hendery before I grabbed Jaeminâs hand, leading him to my room, locking the doors behind us.
âNothing was supposed to change,â Jaemin started as he sat at the edge of my bed, leaning forward with his upper body propped on his elbows. His gaze was trained on the floor, too frustrated to look up at me.
âI know,â I whispered as I sat down in my chair on the other side of the room. My first instinct was to kneel in front of Jaemin, kiss his forehead, and assure him that everythingâs going to be alright.
Unfortunately, it didnât seem like a good idea, so I refrained from doing so. âI am sorry, itâs my fault.â
âDonât,â Jaemin interjected before I embarrassed myself even further. âWeâre both at fault.â
Despite the loud party noises coming from the other side of the doors, my bedroom was filled with deafening silence. It was awfully uncomfortable, and it was probably a good thing. One of us would get annoyed eventually and cave in, letting out all the bottled up emotions.
âI missed you,â I admitted, staring at my hands. I was all fidgety, and although I was too embarrassed to reveal my inner feelings, Jaemin deserved to know this much.
âI missed you, too,â he genuinely confessed, showing me a shy smile. âActually, I missed you more than I thought it was possible to miss a person,â Jaemin carried on, and I held my breath, not ready to hear whatever he had to say. âYou have no idea how much I wanted to text you or call you, but ultimately decided not to because I was sure you donât want me to.â
âJaemin,â I spoke, not really sure what I should say next. I had too many things I wanted to tell him about. However, now when he was here, I couldnât properly voice my thoughts.
âAre you dating this guy you were talking to in the kitchen?â Jaemin asked out of the blue, catching me off guard with this random accusation. âOr do you want to date him? You two looked like youâre having a great time together,â he added, and I rolled my eyes. At first, Jaemin acted on his jealously, but then, insecurity crept in.
âI donât know. I met Hendery today, but he seems like a great guy,â I answered honestly, thinking of possibilities of me trying to pursing something of romantic nature with Hendery. After our brief encounter, I could tell heâs fun to be around. And honestly speaking, I mightâve considered dating him if I hadnât already had feelings for someone else.
Unfortunately, right now, I wasnât in the right state of mind to date. Not when I was still hung up on my best friend.
âI probably wonât, though. I like somebody else,â I confessed, gaining Jaeminâs interest. Instantly, he sat up, staring into my eyes, patiently waiting for the reveal. âI am stupid, but I like this one guy. Heâs such a jerk, I canât even⌠heâs been ghosting me for weeks now,â I carried on, hoping Jaemin would get the hint.
Two weeks ago, we promised each other nothing would change. Despite our good intentions, it did. Even though I hadnât told Jaemin how I really felt, I still lost my best friend.
My silence didnât save this friendship. I tried to bottle up my emotions to secure our unbreakable bond. It didnât work, so I figured confessing my feelings wouldnât do any more harm. Surely, Jaemin was going to reject me, but at least, Iâd clear the air between us.
Hopefully, my confession, followed by a harsh rejection, would help me move on.
Instantly, Jaemin ran up to my chair and knelt in front of me, trying to look into my eyes. âPlease tell me this jerk is me,â Jaemin urgently spoke, unable to handle any more suspense. Jaeminâs gaze was hopeful, and it was too much for me to comprehend.
âWhat?â I asked, still being overwhelmed by confusion. What was going on? Why was Jaemin on his knees in front of me? Nothing made sense. How was I supposed to wrap my head around it? âI mean⌠yeah, itâs you. Who else could it be?â
âYou have no idea how sorry I am,â Jaemin confessed as he grabbed my hand and yanked me against his chest, wrapping his arms around me, giving me a tight hug. âYou couldâve said something⌠anything,â he added as he pulled back his head, placing a chase kiss against my forehead.
âI didnât want to scare you away,â I admitted quietly, unable to break free from Jaeminâs cone-crashing embrace. I couldnât believe he was so close. Na Jaemin was holding me in his arms, letting me listen to his rapid heartbeat.
âThe worst two weeks of my life,â Jaemin spoke, once again breaking the silence. âIt felt at least like two centuries,â he added, making me chuckle. Of course, it was an exaggeration, but itâs how I felt, too.
âHow about we start over?â I proposed, taking a step backward to have a proper look at him. âWill you go on a date with me? This time around for real, no pretending,â I carried on, trying not to grin like an idiot.
âNo.â
âWhat?â
What the fuck was that?
Did I misunderstand Jaeminâs words? I thought he felt the same, but apparently, he didnât? Everything suggested he followed my flow only to crush my expectations, later on, leaving a big ass scar and more trust issues.
âI mean yes, but I should be me asking you out. Definitely not the other way around,â Jaemin clarified, making me relax. Thankfully, my mini panic attack was uncalled for. It was just my brain over-analyzing everything, conjuring the worst possible scenario.
âThen you better do your best to woo me,â I teased, wondering if he was willing enough to take the bait. It was just a mere joke, reminding me how it all began. He had wooed me once, and I wasnât going to oppose to a second attempt. âFun dates, romantic messages, silly gifts. I want it all,â I added, going a little bit overboard with my request list.
âEverything can be arranged,â Jaemin replied with a lopsided smile before he tightened his grip, almost crashing my bones in the process.
***
Jaemin and I began dating. This time around, it was real; no more pretending, no more stupid bets. Just two people who had discovered friendship could never be enough.
Even though I had told Jaemin I was just joking about this whole wooing thing, he refused to accept it, going to extreme lengths to make my heart flutter. I was already stupidly in love with him, yet he kept trying to make me swoon even more.
Despite our busy schedules, we made sure to see each other every day. It couldâve been a date at the arcade or just a quick coffee or a video call. In all honestly, I gladly accepted any form of contact from Jaemin.
I hated the prospect of going through a day without any message from him.
Except for many mini and maxi dates, Jaemin would also spoil me with plenty of encouraging notes of many kinds. Each massage from Jaemin was even sillier from the previous one. He never ceased to amaze me.
At first, Jaemin would stick post-it notes in different places in my room. Whenever I paid no attention, he would quickly write one for me to find it later. Whenever I saw sleep tight message stuck to my bedpost or you looked extra sexy today attached to the mirror, I smiled like an idiot, imaging Jaemin writing it.
If Jaemin forgot about post-it notes, he would always make it up to me by sending me corny direct messages. We would always text each other before sleep, and Jaemin never failed to make me smile with words such as:
If you happen to have wet dreams of me, you gotta tell me everything that happened. We can recreate it later.
I saw some sexy lingerie on my way home. Your ass would look amazing in it. Iâm gonna buy it for you when I get my paycheck.
Youâre the reason I wake up in the morning. Just kidding, I have to pee.
Whenever we went out, Jaemin would also scribble something either on a napkin or on a receipt. One time, Jaemin even gave a crumbled piece of paper that he was carrying in his pocket for some reason.
You know Iâd give you my kidney, right? And a piece of the liver if you ask nicely. I hope you would do the same for me.
When we have kids, Iâll let you name the first one. Donât fuck it up.
Youâre my favorite pain in the ass.
You are stuck with me. You better get used to it.
Messy notes werenât sufficient for Jaemin. Although I was more than content with the attention and affection he was giving me, it wasnât enough for Jaemin. With each massage, he had to out-do himself.
Jaemin even wrote me a song! Or at least, he tried to write me a song. Â It was really bold of him to assume I didnât know the lyrics to Jonas Brothersâ Sucker. I loved this song, and even though I perfectly knew it wasnât Jaeminâs piece of work, I still appreciated the gesture.
Later on, his love letters reached another level of ridiculousness. Jaemin sent me a love e-mail, and if that doesnât prove how extra he can get, I donât know what can.
Jaemin didnât stop there. No, it was just a warm-up.
When I was checking the mailbox, I found a paper plane stuck in between bills. Jaemin mustâve put it there, probably after one of his frequent visits to my apartment. Though the paper plane was a little bit crumbled, I found it incredibly adorable. On its wing, it had âopen meâ written with Jaeminâs messy handwriting. Inside there was a corny message that turned my insides in absolute cringe.
Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly.
A few days later, Jaemin gave me a CD with the love playlist he had made for me. Carefully, he had chosen our favorite songs and burned them on a disc. I had no means to actually play it, but I adored the gesture.
Jaeminâs creativity did not disappoint. At this point, he might send me a love letter via a fax machine, and I wouldnât be surprised. There were no limitations to his imagination, and it was one of the many things I loved about him.
Neither of us dropped the L-bomb yet, but we really didnât need to. Though that dreaded word has yet to be spoken, we perfectly knew how we felt about each other. We would do anything for one another; no doubt in that.
Having exceeded my expectations, Jaemin proved himself worthy of being my boyfriend. Or rather, he showed me he was way out of my league. When he was bending over backward, I was passively basking in the glory of Jaeminâs confessions. Relationships were about giving and taking, and it seemed our balance was off.
It was time we switched roles. It was only fair if I tried to creep my way into his heart the way he had been wooing mine.
As soon as I cleaned up the apartment and pampered myself a little bit, I pulled out my phone, quickly texting Jaemin. Hopefully, he wasnât that busy.

Okay, I had an hour to prepare something for our impromptu date. It was fine; it was more than enough than I needed. The apartment was already clean, so I just had to whip something to eat and cool the bubbles.
For some reason, I felt in a celebratory mood. Whatever tempo Jaemin and I had, it worked in two week periods. We had fake-dated for fourteen days before we called it quits. Then, we didnât talk to each other for two weeks. Tonight another period came by, and I wanted to celebrate it, hoping to break the unfortunate chain of bad luck.
The alcohol was already in the refrigerator. Having put on an apron, I opened all the cabinets around the kitchen, quickly analyzing the ingredients and what I can make out of them. It wasnât much, but pasta would have to be enough.
It wasnât a fancy dish, but I was made it with love, so Jaemin shouldnât have any complaints. Pouring my emotions into the pasta was to make it extra flavorful.
When the sauce was slowly cooking on the stove, I decorated the table. I wanted to provide Jaemin with some high-end restaurant experience despite being in my cramped apartment. It was the best thing out of two words; we had all privacy in the world offered by a homely atmosphere, but at the same time, we would eat some beautifully garnished food.
Just when I was about to drain the pasta, someone knocked on the doors.
âComing,â I hollered before I put the pot in the sink, wiping my hands on the apron before making my way to answer the doors. âHey there, beautiful,â I greeted Jaemin with a playful remark, standing on my toes to press a brief smooch on his adorable lips. It took him off guard, but in some sense, he liked it.
âHey, itâs my line,â Jaemin nagged when his hands found purchase on my hips, bringing me closer for another kiss since one was never enough. âWhat do you have there? It smells delicious,â Jaemin turned his head, trying to peek inside to see what surprise I had prepared for him.
âYou know, just some carbs,â I answered vaguely, sending him a playful smirk, not wanting to ruin the surprise. I wanted him to sit down at the table and wait for me to bring the whole dish and pour us some cheap champagne.
Jaemin took off his shoes, kicking them to the side. A second later, he handed me his coat, and I put it on the hanger. Jaemin was wearing a pair of gray jeans and a mint oversized hoodie, and I drooled over this comfortable look. He didnât have to try hard to impress me.
âJust wait here. Iâll be back in a sec,â I spoke when I guided Jaemin to the table, forcing him to sit down in the chair. Jaemin wanted to help me out in the kitchen, but I firmly refused. Tonight I wished to impress Jaemin; he didnât have to move a finger.
âI know itâs not much, but I hope youâll still like it,â I whispered when I put a plate in front of him. âDig in,â I added as I sat on the other side of the table, carefully trying to pop the champagne bottle open. Though I hated doing it, too afraid of breaking something or hurting someone, tonight I wanted to try it.
âWhatâs the occasion,â Jaemin wondered as he fondly watched me fight with the bottle. âDo you need some help? Youâre gonna hurt yourself,â Jaemin offered, genuinely concerned about my safety. However, I just turned around, wanting to finish it by myself.
It took me good five minutes to pop it. And when I finally did it, Jaemin gave me a round of pitiful applause, officially declaring itâs his job from now on.
âIt was just painful to watch,â Jaemin playfully commented, and I kicked his shin under the table, showing him how much appreciated his remark was. âSo⌠whatâs the occasion?â
âDo I really need to have a reason to spoil my boyfriend?â I innocently asked, batting my eyelashes, and Jaemin smiled at the word boyfriend. We had never discussed labels, but it was self-explanatory we were in a loving relationship. âI figured itâd be nice to give you some more attention,â I absentmindedly added as I reached for my phone to play some soft EDM music through the Bluetooth speaker.
âIs that it?â Jaemin wondered, gazing into my eyes, searching for any ulterior motive I might have. âAre you sure youâre not trying to butter me up before you say something I may not like? What did you do?â Jaemin inquired, and I chuckled loudly.
âCalm down, Na,â I spoke, making Jaemin look up at me once again. I only called him by his surname when I was extra affectionate, so he was curious what I was going to say. âI just wanted to hang out with you. Thatâs all,â I confessed, but Jaemin scrutinized his eyes, not really buying my innocent talk. âOkay, fine. Thereâs one more thing.â
âWhat is it?â Jaemin inquired, grinning at me.
âCanât you already tell? I am trying to woo my way into your pants, duh,â I confessed, and Jaemin choked on his champagne as he did not expect this wording. âYour heart! I meant to say into your heart,â I corrected when I realized my little Freudian slip. âWait, no, screw it. I second that. I want to get into both.â
âYouâve already got into one,â Jaemin declared with a lopsided smirk pinned to his face. âBut... if you donât suspect it already, youâre welcome in both,â he added mischievously, taking a sip of his alcohol. I, on the other hand, looked away, feeling the heat in my cheeks.
âGood to know.â
âWhere are Jiwoo and Ten by the way?â Jaemin wondered as he looked around the apartment, finding it suspicious they didnât crash our date yet. Under typical circumstances, Jiwoo or Ten would haul another chair to the table and steal the food, third-wheeling our date.
âTen is at the dance studio. Heâs having a dance competition next week, so he goes there every time he has some free time to practice. And Jiwoo is with Jaehyun. He came here to pick her up a few hours ago. I donât think either of them is coming home anytime soon,â I explained, smirking. We had the place to ourselves.
Finally, we could bask in each otherâs company without any intrusive guests.
âIâd like to cheers to that,â Jaemin raised his glass, clinking it gently against mine.
Having eaten the food, we moved to the couch.
âWhat now?â Jaemin asked as he stretched his arm, resting it on the back of the couch right over my shoulders.
âI have one more surprise,â I announced before I jumped to my feet. âWait a second,â I added before bolting to my bedroom.
âWhat is it?â Jaemin inquired, having no clue what else I could surprise him with. âWhat do you have there?â He pressed, tilting his head to the side, trying to see what I was hiding behind my back.
âLetâs take some pictures,â I announced in excitement, showing him my Polaroid camera. âI finally bought some film, and I really want our photo in my wallet,â I added as I plopped down onto the couch, resting my head against Jaeminâs chest. âYou take it,â I ordered, handing him the camera. After all, he was the prodigy of photography. Besides, his hands were longer than mine.
âI think thatâs more than enough,â Jaemin spoke after snapping the twelfth picture.
Having put the camera on the coffee table, he wrapped his arms around me. Jaemin pulled me on his laps, embracing me tightly, placing a round of pecks against my temple.
âWait! One more thing,â I hollered, leaning forward to reach for the envelope which was lying on the coffee table next to our photos.
âYou canât say itâs the last thing and then bring another one. Thatâs not how it works,â Jaemin nagged, a little flustered that I managed to find another excuse when he wanted to cuddle. âWho are you? A fitness instructor? When you say itâs the last one, it should be the last one. You canât come up with new ones every three minutes.â
âI promise itâs the last one,â I sat cross-legged on the couch beside him, handing him the envelope. Cautiously, he pulled the card out of it, and I looked at him, studying his expression in excitement.
âAnnoyingly, I like you way more than Iâd originally planned,â Jaemin read the cover of the card, smiling widely at the passive-aggressive message. âItâs already good, and I didnât even read what you wrote inside,â he commented before he leaned forward to kiss my forehead. âI donât get it,â he added in confusion as he saw the blank page inside the card.
âItâs my love letter for you,â I clarified, but Jaemin was still clueless.
âItâs a blank page. You really have that little to say?â Jaemin asked, trying to make sense out of my card.
âThatâs not how you were supposed to interpret that!â I yelled, climbing on his laps, wanting to tear the card out of his ungrateful hands. Unfortunately, Jaeminâs hands were longer than mine, so even when I was hovering over his thighs, I couldnât reach it.
âHow was I supposed to interpret that then?â Jaemin challenged, holding my hips, forcing them down on his laps.
âI wanted to write something meaningful, but I just couldnât decide what. I have so many things I want to tell you, it wouldnât even fit on the card,â I started, trying to find the best way to form a coherent sentence. âOne way to interpret it is that you have to imagine itâs written in a very tiny font. Because I have so much to tell you, I wrote everything down, but you just canât read it.â
âI like it,â Jaemin whispered, pressing a gentle kiss against my knuckles.
âOr you can say itâs blank because whenever Iâm with you, my head is completely empty,â I added, chuckling at the corny confession. âOr you can assume there are no words to describe my feelings for you.â
âHow is it possible that without writing anything, you managed to top all of my love letters?â Jaemin wondered, smiling at me. âWhat kind of sorcery is this?â
âNo, Jaemin. Youâre not giving yourself enough credit. I loved your love letters. They were silly, but at the same time, I could feel you really meant everything,â I reasoned, looking down at Jaeminâs lips, slowly leaning in for a delicate kiss.
âOkay, I have an idea,â Jaemin suddenly spoke as he grabbed my butt and threw me off his laps. âI need a pen,â he added, looking around the living room, finding the pen on the coffee table. In a hurry, he scribbled down something on the blank page of the card, making sure I couldnât peek. âHere, I found my way to interpret it.â
âOh?â
âYes,â Jaemin answered confidently, handing me the card. âRead it out loud for me.â
âOkay, I guess,â I cleared my throat before I opened the card. âMy beloved Jaemin,â I read, looking at Jaeminâs face with a raised eyebrow. This was going to be good.
âCarry on,â he urged, and I shook my head, unable to believe I was going to do it.
âYouâre the most handsome man I have ever seen. Youâre also the smartest and the funniest. Not to mention, youâre the best kisser in the world. What the fuck is this?â I interjected, having doubts, knowing it was a bad idea.
âJust keep reading, babe,â Jaemin ordered, wanting me to carry on with his antics. âThough youâre no poet, itâs, by a huge margin, the best love letter I have ever received,â he added, blowing his ego way out of proportion, and I rolled my eyes.
âNow, when I look at you, I understand thereâs not a chance I wouldnât fall for you. So, since thereâs not much space left, I just wanna tell you that I love you. I really love you, Jaemin.â
Before I managed to complain that he forced me to say the L-word first, Jaemin interjected.
âFinally, took you long enough,â he teased, and I sighed, wondering where to hit him first. âAs if you havenât figured it out yet, I love you, too.â
âYouâre impossible,â I commented, still not quite sure if we just confessed to each other.
âIâm impossible not to fall in love with,â Jaemin corrected, once again hauling me back on his laps, taking my breath away with a fervent kiss. âHow about you show me how you want to get into my pants, babe?â
Having had enough of Jaeminâs teasing, I decided not to comply with his request.
âI think you should go.â
âYouâre right,â Jaemin agreed too quickly, and it made me alert. âLetâs go to your room because once I start pounding into you, I will not stop even if a group of nuns was about to break in and steal all of your shit,â he added as he picked me up, carrying me to my bedroom.
âYouâre impossible,â I repeated my words when Jaemin threw me onto my bed before he landed on it right beside me.
âI think weâve already discussed this,â he remarked, reminding me of the remark he had given me earlier. âSo⌠where were we?â Jaemin asked as he put his hand on my side, pulling me closer. Soon enough, his palm slipped under the hem of my shirt, caressing my skin.
âIs it weird that the only thing I can think about is you eating me out?â I wondered out loud, stripped of all remains of dignity. Jaemin was in my bed, and I was planning on taking full advantage of it.
âNot at all, love,â Jaemin replied, showing me his eager smile. Quickly, he sat on his calves between my legs, taking his time to take off my jeans. âI thought about eating you out way too often ever since that thing in the bathroom,â Jaemin confessed as he threw my jeans across the room.
Though my panties were still on, Jaemin began his teasing. His soft lips trailed across my thighs, driving me crazy. His lips touched every inch of my skin except for the area I wanted the most. At this point, my panties were dripping wet, yet he didnât even think of pulling them to the side, giving attention to my much-ignored core.
âYouâre killing me,â I whispered, slowly losing patience. If Jaemin kept up with his antics, Iâd combust out of sexual frustration. âBold of you to assume I wonât let you taste your own medicine,â I warned Jaemin. It worked because as soon as I voiced my mischievous threat, Jaeminâs finger hooked under the hem of my panties, quickly pulling them down my legs.
âYouâre no fun at all,â Jaemin clarified before his lips finally landed on my clit, making me buckle my hips in an instant. Slowly, his mouth moved against my sweet spot, and I arched my back with each swirl of his tongue.
Though he barely started, I could feel the electricity coursing through my body. In my state of permanent frustration, it wouldnât be difficult for Jaemin to make me come against his mouth.
Getting into it, Jaemin squeezed my hips, trying to keep me still when he ate me out. His jaw was dripping in my juices as he made his way down to lick my folds.
âFuck,â I moaned loudly when Jaeminâs nose rubbed my clit when he was running his tongue all over my entrance. âI think I am gonna come,â I admitted what made Jaemin smirk through the kiss. Jaemin barely touched me, but I was already close.
âCome for me,â Jaemin urged, releasing my hips from his firm grip. Now when I could buckle my hips against his face, my orgasm was just seconds away. With my hand in his hair, I rocked my hips, basking in pleasure.
âI need your fingers,â I begged, and Jaemin quickly obeyed my shameful plea. I expected him to tease me further, denying me his long fingers, but he was kind enough to do anything to make me come.
Thanks to my juices and Jaeminâs saliva, his two fingers slid right in.
âFuck,â I shouted at the top of my voice when the wave of pleasure shot right through me. Jaeminâs jaw still played with my clit as he continued his actions throughout the orgasm.
âYou blew my mind, Jaemin,â I muttered after I regained my focus after he had made me come on his face. âI came so hard,â I confessed, smiling like an idiot. It was way too long ever since someone made me feel this good.
âYou better get used to it because I am planning this to be a frequent occurrence,â Jaemin whispered, looking at my face as if it was an art piece. âDo you have condoms?â he casually asked as he pulled down his jeans. His erected cock was restrained in the denim fabric, and Jaemin needed to get rid of it.
âAs a matter of fact, I do,â I replied as I opened the bedside table and threw a brand new package of condoms at Jaeminâs chest. âJiwoo got me those after she walked on our pillow fight the other day. Apparently, she doesnât want any cum stains on the couch.â
For a while, we were lying on the bed, staring at each other. Jaemin gave me some time to recover from my orgasm. According to him, I needed to take breaks because he didnât want to over-stimulate me too soon.
âI really love you,â Jaemin confessed genuinely, and I quickly rolled closer to him, giving him another chase smooch. His confession was music to my ears, and I could listen to it on repeat without getting tired of it.
âI love you, too,â I quickly replied, leaning in for another kiss. With his hand on my cheek, he deepened the kiss, giving us another chance to get lost in the love trance.
Having thrown my leg over his hipbone, I hovered over his erection.
âLet me take care of you,â I said as I pulled away from the kiss. With a playful smirk upon my face, I grabbed the hem of my shirt and pulled it over my head. Slowly after, my bra followed suit, and Jaemin grunted upon seeing me completely naked in front of him.
âSexy,â he purred before he eagerly took off his hoodie, throwing it onto the floor. âOn a second thought, maybe you should put something on. Youâre too sexy, and Iâd like to last longer,â Jaemin explained, handing me his hoodie so I could cover myself up. âNo, itâs even worse. Take it off,â he changed his mind after seeing me in his clothes.
Carefully, I pulled Jaeminâs boxers down his legs, letting his rock hard cock spring free. Biting on my lips, I grabbed his erection, giving it a few gentle strokes.
âFuck it, I am ready,â Jaemin yelled, placing his hand over mine, making me stop. âYou have all the time in the world to blow me. Right now, I want to feel you,â he added, quickly pulling out a condom from its packaging.
âLet me at least roll it down for you,â I offered, and Jaemin sighed, weighing his options.
âNah, I am not willing to take that risk,â Jaemin answered, proceeding to wrap his cock by himself. âNow, come here, sit down on it,â he urged, and I shook my head. Smiling like an idiot, I guided his cock towards my entrance, slowly sinking down on his length.
âYouâre good?â I asked, trying to guess what was going on inside his brain. Judging by his sour expression, he mustâve been thinking about something terrible in order to stop himself from coming too soon.
âYes, everythingâs cool,â he reassured, and I took it as permission to gently rock my hips back and forth. Whenever I moved, Jaemin kept grunting quietly. Apparently, he also suffered from sexual frustration.
My hands were wandering all over his muscular chest, admiring his athletic built. My hips were moving at a steady rhythm, but whenever I happened to increase the tempo, Jaemin would slow me down with a firm grip on my hips.
âIf you keep doing that, I might spank you,â Jaemin warned me, but it only made me want to disobey more. âWhy did I even expect you to be a good girl?â Jaemin asked, rolling his eyes.
âSpank me,â I ordered, trying my best not to chuckle. âI dare you,â I added, pushing the right buttons. âLike that,â I moaned when Jaeminâs hand collided against my butt, shaking me with newfound excitement.
âYouâre impossible,â Jaemin comment, still in shock after discovering how much into spanking I happened to be.
âIâm impossible not to fall in love with,â I remarked, using Jaeminâs own words against him.
Unable to handle my teasing, Jaemin sat up. âI love you so much,â Jaemin stated once again before he looked at my lips, kissing them. Now, when I was distracted by his tongue, it was easier for him to control my movement.
In our upgraded position, I significantly slowed down. Carefully, I moved up and down Jaeminâs cock, while he sneaked his hand between our entangled bodies, rubbing my clit. I was close, and I was about to come again.
I didnât know what he was so self-conscious about. No doubt I would come first.
âJaemin, I am coming,â I breathed out, messing up my rhythm. It was difficult to maintain the same tempo when Jaemin was playing with my clit. Jaeminâs lips moved down my neck, finding a perfect spot on my collarbone to leave a hickey.
âMe, too,â Jaemin whispered as he began thrusting from underneath me, now desperate to push the both of us off the edge. âYouâre so tight, fuck,â he cursed as my walls started to swell around his throbbing cock.
Jaemin moaned against my skin, muffling his sinful sounds. I, on the other hand, screamed Jaeminâs name at the top of my voice, telling everybody in the world he was the person, making me feel this good.
Having fallen onto the sheets, we looked into each otherâs eyes. We were panting as if we just ran a marathon. Not that I had any doubts, but Jaemin turned out to be a passionate lover, and it made me love him even more.
âYouâre beautiful,â Jaemin complimented me, staring at my face in utter admiration. âI am so lucky,â he added, and I moved closer, snuggling up to him. It was still early, but I was so fucked out, I could fall asleep right there in his arms.
Having pulled me closer to his chest, Jaemin threw a duvet over our sweaty bodies. His fingers were tracing shapes on my shoulder when he pressed yet another peck against my temple.
âAre you down for another round?â Jaemin asked as he discarded the full condom. His cock was still semi-hard. In a few minutes, Jaemin would be ready for some more. âItâs cool if youâre not,â he added, trying not to put any pressure on me.
âI want you to do me all night,â I confessed, looking over my shoulder at the clock. Itâs only 8 pm, and I could stay up till daylight with Jaemin.
âDo you want to go bowling tomorrow?â Jaemin asked, and I eagerly nodded. It was fun the last time I had joined the boys on their monthly trip to the bowling alley. Besides, I would be the first woman to break the unfortunate one-time-only curse. I couldnât wait to show up two months in a row.
âIâd love that,â I answered, snuggling closer to Jaeminâs side.
In content, we basked in happiness until Jaemin regained enough energy to go for the third time. However, this time around, it was slow and steamy. Under the covers, Jaemin crawled on top of me, kissing every inch of my body.
âDo you want to roll it down on me? I think I can handle that,â Jaemin asked, and I reached for the condom, carefully rolling it down his length. âI wish I could fuck you without one, though,â he added, and I flicked his forehead, making him whine. âIâll pull out.â
âI trust you, but itâs still a no from me,â I replied, guiding his cock into my entrance. Inch by inch, Jaemin pushed himself all the way in. âYou fill me up so well,â I praised, purring into his ear. âI love your cock.â
Distance between our bodies was practically nonexistent. Jaemin was slowly snapping his hips, rubbing his pelvic bone against my clit, turning me into a moaning mess. I wouldnât be surprised if my neighbors called the police because of all the noise coming from my bedroom.
âOne day, youâll let me fuck you raw. Iâll make sure you do,â Jaemin carried on, and I hissed, feeling the approaching orgasm. I didnât even bother to comment on Jaeminâs statement. I was whipped for him. I knew I wasnât able to maintain my assertive stance for long. Eventually, Iâd cave in, letting him fuck me without a condom. It wasnât today, though.
âIn your dreams, lover boy,â I answered, but Jaemin just giggled, knowing I wasnât serious.
âYou have no idea how many times weâve done it raw in my dreams,â Jaemin confessed as he picked up his pace, pounding into my pussy, making me moan at the sudden speed. âOne day, Iâll tell you all about my fantasies, but right now, I really want this pussy to cream around my cock,â he added, his filthy words making my walls squeeze around his length.
âYou wait until I tell you mine,â I challenged with a smirk. If Jaemin thought he was the only one with a dirty mind, he was seriously mistaken. While most of my fantasies were PG-13, there was still a large portion of naughty scenarios. Now, when Jaemin and I were finally together, it would be fun to try to recreate at least some of them.
âYou better come because I canât go much longer,â Jaemin warned me, pounding in and out, chasing his own release. âFuck,â he yelled, falling on top of me as he shot his load into the condom. His cock twitched inside of me as he moved slowly, riding out his orgasm.
âJaemin,â I hollered, coming undone underneath him. Despite the other peaks, this orgasm hit me the hardest. For a brief second, my vision turned black as I gave in to the pleasure.
Breathlessly, I lay in the sheets, slowly descending from my high.
âI think all I can do tonight is cuddle,â I commented, feeling too fucked out to engage in any other form of affection. âI donât think I can walk.â
âItâs okay. I can carry you around the house,â Jaemin answered, finding a solution for my problem. Having pulled his limp cock out of me, Jaemin rolled down another condom, putting it aside.
âWhat is it?â Jaemin asked as he heard a noise from the living room.
âIt sounded as if someone was knocking on the doors,â I spoke, trying to identify the sound. âIt must be a courier for Jiwoo. She keeps ordering stuff online. Itâs probably the late evening delivery she forgot about. Can you get it?â
âNo problem, babe,â Jaemin answered as he put on his jeans, walking around the bed to answer the door.
At first, I wanted to wait for Jaemin in bed. However, itâs been like three minutes, and he didnât come back, so I found it weird.
Having put on Jaeminâs hoodie and a pair of leggings, I made my way out of the room.
Jaemin was standing by the doors, looking inside a plastic bag. Whatever it was, it smelled like Thai food. Unfortunately, it didnât explain anything. We were here alone, and we didnât order anything.
Just when I was about to open my mouth and ask Jaemin what the hell was going on, Ten walked out of his room. It was strange, but I saw him leave, and I didnât hear him come back.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â I asked angrily, trying to hide my embarrassment. If he was here the whole time, he mustâve heard us having sex.
âI live here, duh,â Ten answered matter-of-factly, choosing not to give me the explanation which I desperately needed. âI think itâs mine,â Ten spoke as he walked up to Jaemin to take his Thai takeout.
Although Jaemin and I were standing in the living room in complete consternation, Ten didnât seem to pay any attention to it. In front of his bedroom, Ten stopped in his tracks, turning his head to face me.
âCongratulations, by the way,â Ten spoke, making me even more embarrassed. âThree times, wow. Itâs impressive. Donât fuck this up, dear. Heâs a keeper,â Ten added, sending me a playful wink before he disappeared inside his room.

â enhypen reaction to hearing you sing for the first time !
genre: fluff + established relationship for heeseung and sunoo
pairings: idol!enhypen x gn!reader
note: requested by anon âĄ
â
heeseung
you got into an argument, a dumb one actually
but you both being the stubborn people you are, you decided to give each other the silent treatment
you couldnât handle it much longer
you just wanted to say sorry and cuddle with him
but then again - you didnât wanna deflate your ego
so directly speaking to him was a no-no
so you sat there in his bed, grabbing his guitar and started strumming it
until you started playing and singing get you by daniel caesar
heeseung mustâve heard you as he slowly walked towards his room, pressing his ear on the door
he didnât know you could play the guitar and sing
pls he had massive heart eyes
was convinced he fell in love with you all over again
he completely forgot the argument ever happened and just barged in
âyouâre the love of my life.â
you stopped playing and singing and just went *instert shocked pikachu face*
âcan you sing for me? please?â and you just shake your head no
pouts and gives you puppy eyes
you give in and kiss his cheek âfine, but only if you do it with meâ
he nods and cuddles you as you both sing each other to sleep
â
jay
you were a new trainee at belift and he was at the studio, preparing a new song with jake and a producer
the producer had called you in to record a demo for one of the hybe groups
he wasnât that fazed when you entered the room - the both of you having a mask and bucket hat on
as you entered the recording booth, you removed your mask and hat
you listen to the instrumental and re-read the lyrics once again as you asked the producer if you could record the song without instrumental first
the producer agreed and started recording
you got straight into the chorus, surprising jay
that specific part was in a very high key and he was shocked at how effortlessly you sang it at the first try
the recording went pretty well
but the way jay kept on looking back and forth between the lyrics he was writing and you in the booth didnât go unnoticed by jake
you were done and had to return to practice as you bowed to the boys and producer - leaving the room
jake nudges jay, signalling him to go follow you and at least say something
jay took the hint and left the studio
ây/n!â he called out and you turned around
âyour voice is beautiful. would you want to record with me- i mean enhypen some time?â
â
jake
you were part of a girl band
you played the bass and was also the lead singer
your company - a fairly small one - was just recently bought by bang pd so you were under hybe labels
your group used to perform for different high school festivals and you just happened to have performed at sunooâs
after hearing the news that you were under hybe too, sunoo begged his members to come with him see your band at the company
âsunoo theyâre there to practice, not to do free concertsâ - jungwon
jake chuckled and he was the only one who agreed to come with sunoo
âhyung did you know their lead singer is the same age as youâ sunoo said wiggling his brows as they both made their way to your practice room
jake just shook his head at his younger member
hearing a familiar melody, sunoo dragged the older member to what he was sure was your practice room
âsunoo you canât just barge i-â
was he seeing an angel?????
âsunoo i thought they did rockâ
âyeah but they have bsides in other genres too yknowâ
you were singing your solo song twilight
jake nodded and watched you in awe, admiring how into the song you were
your members werenât there and it may seem lonely but your voice echoing throughout the room made the atmosphere feel heavenly
once the song was over, sunoo cheered and clapped his hands as you grew shy, finally acknowledging their presence
the two boys introduced themselves to you and you did the same to them
you chuckled as you saw jake fumble on his words
âi know who you guys are, i watched your very good cover. you should try doing rock sometime, it seriously fits you guys!â you complimented them
as they grew shy, you couldnât help but notice jakeâs unique smile and how he plays with his hands when heâs nervous
âdo you wanna grab lunch with us?â
âis the jake sim asking me out?â
âis the y/n l/n rejecting me?â
you both laughed as sunoo playfully rolled his eyes and you went to go get lunch with the two
â
sunghoon
you were at karaoke with the guys
all of them were having the time of their lives, doing song after song without taking breaks
jay and riki were singing new face and you were busting your lungs out watching them get tired of the never-ending song
remember when yoongi went âwhen does this song endâ when bts was singing new face during that one run episode? yeah thatâs them
when the song finally finished, jungwon noticed how you have been laughing and just sitting there the whole time
so he took the mic and pointed at you
that little shit
sunoo had already queued asap by stayc for him to sing, but jungwon insisted that you sing it since you should at least sing one song
âbut thatâs my song!â - sunoo
âsunoo you can do the choreo while y/n singsâ - jungwon
sunoo nods, also wanting to hear you sing
(ps he wanted to do the choreo lol)
you refused and kept shaking your head until your crush, sunghoon, placed his hand on your shoulder, making your heart do backflips
âcmonnnn y/n, please?â he pouted at you
finally giving in, you stand up and grab the mic from jungwon
starting the song, your body was stiff
but once you reached the chorus, you and sunoo were doing the choreo while you sang with a big smile on your face
not you being a whole kpop idol whoop
sunghoon couldnât help but look at you and smile to himself and blush - you looked so cute and your voice was so addicting
you even lipsynced the âi think youâre really coolâ part (the one before the chorus) while winking at him
the song really brought out your inner confidence as you made sunghoon a flustered mess
once you were all finished and went home, riki showed you a video he took of sunghoon when you were singing
âdude i swear heâs super into you! look at him smiling ear-to-ear!!! he looks like he just saw an angelâ
âoh shut up rikiâ
you mentally thanked jungwon for setting you up like that
â
sunoo
âcan you sing me to sleep please?â you asked sunoo asked with puppy eyes
he poked your cheeks, nodding
âyouâre so cute. of course iâll sing you to sleep babyâ
getting in bed with him, he started playing with your hair and caressing your shoulder
he softly sang love is not over by bts
what took him by surprise was that you suddenly joined in, harmonizing with him
he knew you liked music but wasnât aware that you had such an amazing voice
he held your hand as you both finished singing the song, giggling
âbaby you have the sweetest voice ever, you should sing more oftenâ he playfully pouted
you softly laughed as you moved his bangs out frame, kissing his forehead
âiâll only sing for you darling, i donât want others to fall for meâ
he playfully hit you as you laughed at your own joke
facing you, he looked into your eyes
âi love you so much.â
you blushed at his words
âi love you even more sunoo.â
â
jungwon
your group and enhypen were appearing on weekly idol together
your members kept on teasing you because you had previously revealed that jungwon was your ideal type on knowing bros
what you said garnered a lot of attention from knetz and engenes, some negative but most of them positive
âthey would make an adorable coupleâ
âi wanna see them sing togetherâ
âtheir visuals together would shake the whole countryâ
you were glad engenes didnât hate your guys for being open about your admiration towards the boy
you being nervous was an understatement - this was your first time seeing jungwon in real life
and you expected the hosts to bring up what you said about him so you were prepared to face him directly
pls this sounds like ur about to have a boxing match w him
anyways filming started out okay until the hosts (ofc) brought up what you said
a few laughs here and there but suddenly they had an idea
âso youâre the main vocal, correct?â
you nodded at one of the hosts
âthatâs perfect because itâs time for our karaoke session!â
you ended up getting paired up with jungwon to sing just one day by bts
you made eye contact the whole time and it didnât take a genius to see the instant chemistry
your voices went so well with each other that even you and his members were shocked at how heavenly you both sounded together
you were both smiling and you could just melt right then and there
once you were done, you covered your face with your hands as you were a blushing mess
your members and enhypen clapped and one of the hosts went âyou guys should sing an ost togetherâ
you both got super shy and the rest of filming went well
a month passed and the episode aired
engenes and your fans went insane on sns and knetz were demanding a collab
it wasnât anything serious until your ceo brought you in in a meeting with hybe executives and he popped up the question
âhow would you like to feature in enhypenâs newest album?â
â
riki
your classmates were cleaning the classroom as it was the last week of the whole school year
you were sweeping the floor, humming the song that was silently playing in the background as the room was filled with chatter
riki was removing the decorations on the walls, listening to your soft hums
the songs that were being played were fairly calm
until a more energetic song suddenly played
your classmates suddenly became all energetic when i canât stop me by twice started playing
you smiled, singing along
you were just playing around but you didnât realize that you just hit nayeonâs high notes
âwoah! y/n??? youâre really goodâ
you saw that riki was listening the whole time (and so was the rest of the class lol) and you got shy
you shook your head and stopped singing
âno keep going!â - a classmate
you gave in and went on with the song and riki gave you a âyouâre so awesomeâ look
once the song was over, your classmates started playing even more hype song
a guy went âlets do karaoke!â
a girl chimed in ây/n has to go first!â
riki softly laughed and nudged you to go sing
you used the broom in your hand as a fake mic and mic stand as you sang blue hour by txt
he filmed you, zooming in on your smiling face
he was sure going to cherish that video forever
